Four years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza's armies. Since that day, the Saiyans have acted as the emperor's loyal servents, sent first onto dozens of worlds, exterminating all who oppose Lord Freeza's rule. As mighty conquerors, destroying all who have stood against them, the Saiyans quickly made a name for themselves as some of Freeza's most powerful and loyal subjects.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, currently Age 735 of the "canon" timeline. You the players, having survived past your "canon" death, are changing history. From here forward your actions may even change the fate of the universe itself.

You are Karn, a Saiyan Brawler with a powerlevel of 15618 and leader of your own attack squadron. Your current teammates are:
Prince Vegeta, Blaster, 16908
Meloka, Blaster, 8814
Tunnip, Blaster, 5703
Android, Pilot, n/a

Character Sheet: https://pastebin.com/iPAJeGJn

Quest rules:
>10 minute vote times or first vote to 3 wins, any ties decided by my roll
>first 3 rolls only, best of the 3 wins
>Crits are 100 only, unless otherwise stated
>Crit fails will count ONLY if no roll passes DC

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:
After training with Leyas on the return trip from the Greys' homeworld, Karn is summoned before the king and given a trial to gain the rank of Elite. He faced down Prince Vegeta in one on one combat, and emerged victorious. The king bestows the rank of Elite to Karn, then assigns him the duty of training young Vegeta for his first mission in 6 months. Two months into the training, Freeza himself arrives on Planet Vegeta. After showing his displeasure with the king, Freeza challenges you, the "Super Saiyan", to show him your power. After a display that leaves you unconcious and everyone else stunned, Freeza leaves Planet Vegeta intact, pleased the Super Saiyan is not only no threat to him, but seemingly loyal until death as well. Upon waking, you speak with both the prince and Meloka, then go spend an hour or two in a healing pod before heading off to join Meloka in bed, sleeping soundly.

Waking several hours later, you find Meloka still asleep in your arms. You're about to start getting out of bed, but then you remember you'd told the prince he had the day off today. Soon Meloka wakes, and you watch her smile as the first thing she sees is you.
"Morning Karn." she says sleepily.
"Morning." you say back.
"So you've got the day without the prince." she tells you, mischief in her eyes. "So what do you want to do first?"

Getting out of bed, you walk over to your scouter and put it on, then answer the prince.
"Yeah I'm here, what's up?"
"I found something I think you'll want to see." he says excitedly. "It's here in the palace."
"Alright I'll head over there." you say, looking to Meloka questioningly who just lazily shakes her head no. "Which entrance?"
You get directions from the prince as you dress, then kiss Meloka on the forhead as you take off. Soaring through the sky, you eventually land by a palace side door and go through, following the directions given to you until you arrive at a room full of books.
"Over here." the prince calls out to you. You walk over to him, seeing what got his interest. He has a book open on the table, and is pointing out a passage.

You stare at the passage, trying to remember the Tuffle written language you'd picked up as a kid. The passage, as far as you can tell, read like so:
"Once every one thousand years, a warrior will be born. A Saiyan of peerless might, fearless and invincible in battle. In a flash of golden light, the Super Saiyan's birth will be revealed. With golden hair, he will stand above his race, and lead the Saiyans to their conquest of the universe."
"So what do you think?" young Vegeta asks you.

"It seems I still have a ways to go then, huh?" you tell the prince, looking up from the book.
"Huh?" he asks you, confused.
"I need to push myself harder." you tell the confused prince. "I must not be strong enough to become the true warrior of legends. I'm not strong enough to hold onto all that golden power. So I gotta keep up my training."
"You'll get it." the prince tells you. "I just know it."
"What're you two doing down here?" Nappa asks as he walks in.
"Looking at the story of the legend." Vegeta tells the general. "Wanted to see how accurate the stories were."
"Well you saw for yourself yesterday." Nappa says. "I think we all saw. Anyways, was trying to find you Karn, just to let you know Leyas' new team has been sent out on their first mission. And your mission, Prince Vegeta, has been moved up. Soon as your ship is ready, Karn, you all will be headed to planet Grevu. "He fought Karn." Vegeta tells Nappa. "And after the fight Karn's heart stopped."
"What?" you ask, confused. This is the first you're hearing of this.
"Yeah." Vegeta continues. "After you collapsed Meloka rushed to you, but your heart had stopped. She did something to get your heart beating again, then wouldn't let go."
"Huh. Guess I need to go thank her for that." you say. "You had enough off time, or are you ready to get back to work? We only have about two weeks before we head out."

>Implying we wouldn't be this powerful again by next thread if we played as the kid.

Judging by the fact you didn't know we had a daughter, that you haven't been here long.
The reason we're so powerful is mostly bad luck and good luck with dice rolls.
We almost always roll bad in combat and almost die, and by the same token we almost always roll extremely good for the Zenkai we get after.
Our gains are only gonna get higher with the new gravity chamber and we spending the months in space autistically training.
Still, even though we've gotten stronger, we still haven't stopped jobbing from time to time.

"We'll work on a bit more energy control before we head off." you tell the prince. "Let's go get Meloka and head back out."
"Sure." the prince says, less than enthusiasticly. You both leave the palace and take off towards your ship. Upon landing, you see the science guys hard at finishing up the upgrades. Then you see Meloka nearby, working on a new technique. Landing by her, you see her create a spear of energy and toss it into a boulder, the spear sticking into the boulder then exploding.
"Woah." the prince says, impressed. "How'd you do that?"
"Lots and lots of control." Meloka tells the young prince. "Finally got that one working right. So what brings you both back so soon?"
You explain to her that the mission will be sooner than expected, then that you both need to work on energy control more.
"Sure, but let's head a bit farther out. Don't need to accidentally hit the ship."
So you all take to the air, flying back to the same area you trained at before. Meloka instructs you both in using your energy more efficiently. You both work hard, but can't really feel much progress in the two weeks you keep at it. But all too soon training must end, and it is time to head off on your next mission. Gear and food stocked up on, coordinates locked, You, Meloka, Prince Vegeta, Tunnip, and Nappa all gather on your ship. Tunnip at the controls, your android riding copilot, you leave Planet Vegeta behind and head off into space.
"Next stop, Planet Grevu." Tunnip says, excitedly.
Once the ship breaks atmosphere, Prince Vegeta turns to you and asks, "So is the gravity chamber ready?"
"Yeah it's ready." Tunnip answers him without turning around. "I helped them test it while you guys were off training."
"Great." the prince says, turning to you. "So what's the plan for training?"
"Pilot, how long until we arrive on Planet Grevu?"
We will arrive in approximately three months your mechanical pilot tells you.
Three months. How will you spend it?

"7x Planet Vegeta's gravity. You ready?" you ask the prince. He simply nods, face full of determination. You nod back then walk over to the control panel. Cranking the modifier up, you then stand back, waiting for the change. You aren't left waiting long. As soon as it shifts, you know. It feels as if Planet Vegeta itself is resting on your back, as you both struggle to remain standing. The pressure forces you to your hands and knees, but the prince is flattened to the ground. You both struggle to stand. You regain your feet rather quickly, but the prince cannot get off of all fours. So you get down beside him, and instruct him to do pushups with you. At the end of the month, you're both able to stand and spar somewhat. But the prince is really struggling with the gravity, while you feel like you adjusted within a week. You both keep pushing during the second month, the prince slowly adapting to the increased gravity.

By the third month's end, you are both moving around the gravity chamber at full speed, you attacking relentlessly and pushing your pupil's defenses to his limits, and beyond. Day after day, you push the prince to defend himself, until he is able to counter your offensives and either knock you back or toss you away. Each time, you both go right back at it again and again each day until Meloka and Tunnip's turn comes. With only hourleft until you arrive, you pull everyone together to see how training went.

You and the prince both came out well, you at 20476 and Vegeta at 18043. Meloka and Tunnip both gained as well, Meloka is now up to 10091 and Tunnip jumped to 7215. But the one who really impressed you is Nappa, the general went up to 9814. Seems Meloka and Tunnip trained up to 3x, and Nappa stayed at 2x, getting more used to the gravity rather than a higher level. As you each go over your different trainings, the android pilot speaks up, Planet Grevu within sight, Captain.
As you walk up to the bridge, you see the planet. As well as a fleet of Grey ships leaving the planet, headed right towards you.
"Thats quite a few of them." Nappa comments, cracking his neck and knuckles. "Want to take them out Karn, or let someone else do the honors?

"I'll take them." you say, heading to the airlock. Taking a deep breath, you let the room's air out then float into space. The lack of gravity disorients you, especially after 7x Planet Vegeta's. But you orient yourself to and then stand atop your ship, staring down the approaching ships. You start charging energy into your palms, your Dual Energy Waves prepared. But then inspiration strikes. You slam the two seperate energies into each other, your wrists touching and the power multiplying itself several times over. This is a lot more energy than you were planning, you'd probably obliterate the planet with this much. Taking aim at the fleet, you let out a shout of "Final Flash!" and fire your attack. The results are spectacular. The giant golden beam completly obliterates the fleet, then keeps going as if they were never there. After a few seconds you cut the attack, and make your way back inside the ship, it turning down and continuing down to the planet.

Final Flash learned

Once inside, everyone seems rather impressed with the show.
"Damn Karn, didn't realize you'd gotten quite that strong." Nappa says, as the ship breaks through the atmosphere. "Numbers are one thing, but seeing it in action is quite another."
"That was amazing!" Meloka says enthusiastically. "When'd you figure that out?"
"Just now." you tell her, laughing. "Inspiration struck, and I just went with it. Seems it works too."
Multiple enemies inbound from all sides, your pilot's robotic voice calls out.
"Well what now?" Tunnip asks?

"Everyone out." you say, quickly seizing control of the situation. "Pilot, back into orbit and await further orders."
Yes Captain your pilot says, turning the ship back towards space. You all leap from the rear of your ship, blasting saucers left and right. With all the noise your team is causing, your ship escapes back into space unpursued. You all fight in a loose circle, blasting every saucer that comes close. Soon, perhaps realizing it is hopeless, the last two attack wings of saucers begin retreating together.
"Let's get them, hurry!" the prince calls out, slightly winded.
"No, its a trap." Nappa says. "They're baiting us."

"Nappa's right, slow down." you tell the young prince. "No need to walk blindly into an ambush. However, we're gonna follow them."
"Wait why?" Tunnip asks you, confused. "Didn't you both just say it's an ambush?"
"Yeah it probably is." you tell her. "But, as long as we're smart, we can most likely avoid the ambush and take out more of their forces."
"I get it." Vegeta says suddenly. "You're using them to lead you to their forces."
"Exactly. Now let's go!"
With that, you blast off towards the saucers, keeping some distance between your group and theirs.

"This place is a dump." Meloka complains after a minute or so of flying. "The Greys wiped everything out, and didn't even bother blasting away the ruins." Nappa notes. "Completly unprofessional."
"Stay sharp everyone, we're still in hostile territory." you say, as a tall building has a blue light glowing out of it. Wait, you recognize that light.

"Everyone get clear, NOW!" you shout, dashing up as fast as you can. Your team follows you, not a moment too soon. A giant blue blast surges out, wiping out a large section of the ruins behind where your team was. Then you see it, walking out through the remains of the building it was hiding in. Another of thise giant death machines. The saucers continue retreating, not wanting to be collateral probably.
"K-Karn. What do we do?" Meloka asks you, terrified.

"Vegeta with me, everyone else pursue those saucers." you tell your team, taking a defensive stance.
"But Karn-"
"No Meloka, you've gotta go. I can't protect you and destroy this thing. Make sure those saucers don't come back this way, I can't fight both them and that thing at the same time."
"...Fine. But you'd better tear that thing apart!" she says as she embraced you, then whispers in your ear. "I love you."
"You too. Be safe." you whisper back.
As you two are about to seperate, Vegeta shouts, "Watch out!"
Without looking, you grab Meloka and toss her up, then turn and fire an Energy Wave at the death machine. Your hunch was correct, it tried to fire another blast at you. Your attacks collide, yours buying you enough time to dodge out of the way before it could connect. Meloka takes off after Nappa and Tunnip. You and Vegeta face the machine, prepared to fight.
"So, how do we fight this?" Vegeta asks you.

"Think you can hold this thing's attention?" you ask the prince. "I've got a move to stop it in its' tracks, just buy me a few seconds."
"Yeah I've got him." he tells you. He then takes off higher up into the air, shouting down, "Hey tin-head, up here! Come on, fight me!"
With that, he begins his Energy Bullets attack, firing shot after shot down on top of the giant machine. He succeeds in drawing the machine's attention from you for long enough, giving you the time you need to charge up your attack. It turns to fire at Vegeta, but it doesn't get the chance. With a mighty shout, you unleash your Piercing Fist MkII, right into the machine's torso. You power straight through its' body, tearing a gaping hole in its' chest. It falls over with a crash, then you hear its' voice again.
Error! Error! Torso critically damaged. Primary offensive weapon offline. Primary defensive weapon firing system offline. Motor controls offline. Remote-destruct defensive weapons sequence initiated. 30, 29, 28,....
"Shit, Karn, come here quick!" Meloka's panicked voice comes out over your scouter. "There's another one here, we can't hold out against it and the saucers for long. Hurry, please!"
"I'm coming, hold on!"
With that, you take off towards your teams' powerlevel signatures, Vegeta hot on your trail.

It only takes a few dozen seconds to reach your team, but it feels like a lifetime. Upon arrival, you see your team seperated and in desperate straits. The death machine firing its laser at your team forces them to split apart, the saucers swooping in and trying to take advantage of their distraction. Meloka dodges their attacks, but Nappa and Tunnip both get hit by ship lasers, the blasts knocking them from the air.

Thinking quick, Meloka'll be fine if yoy can pull the big one's attention, but Nappa and Tunnip are defenseless.
"Vegeta, Nappa and Tunnip, now!" you shout, then dash to the large machine without looking back. You fire an Energy Wave, clearing a short path through the saucers to the colossal machine, then punch it full power in the head, causing it to rock back. It turns to you, and says, Primary target aquired. Charging offensive weapon.
Primary target? What? Nevermind, dwell on it later, act now. You quickly dash around behind it, forcing it to turn to face you. This has the benefit of putting its giant back to your teammates, and keeps it from firing upon them while they're distracted.

You create your Energy Blade, and attempt to cut the bomb apart as it is thrown down at you. You swing and cut the bomb in two, and for a moment you think you've succeeded. But then the bottom half hits the ground, and everything is fire. You feel the blast scorch your body and hammer you into the ground. When you can see again, you can see you're in a crater. Looking up, you see the death machine staring down at you, charging up its blast attack. You struggle to move, but are able to stand. You stare up at the machine, and see that it is about to fire at you.

You're not going down like this! You again charge up power in both hands, then slam your wrists together and combine the energies. As you stand staring up at your personal nightmare, it fires its attack down at you, which you meet head on with a shout:

"FINAL FLASH!"

Your attacks meet, and for a second or so you feel resistance. But then your attack obliterates the colossus' attack, continuing upwards into the monstrous form and creating an absolutely massive explosion of power. You then collapse onto your hands and knees, panting in exhaustion. That attack is extremely powerful, but takes a huge amount of your energy to use. After you recover, you take to the air to inspect the damage. Your attack completly obliterated the giant's head and upper body, leaving only the legs and lower arms as evidence it ever existed. As you're examining your work, you hear Meloka call out, "Karn!"

You've got to handle these guys quick, your team needs your help. With a shout, you flare your aura and dash into the ones attacking you. Your first punch shatters one's head, you spin counterclockwise to dodge it and smash another with your left hand while kicking up with your right leg, shattering another in a single strike. You marvel at your power for a second, then continue your assault. Elbows, punches, kicks; you grind each of the attackers into spare parts with a single strike each. These mindless drones cannot hope to match you now, none even landing a hit on you with your extremely enhanced speed. But a scream breaks you out of your focus, and you focus on who made the sound. Prince Vegeta! One of the machines stabbed him in the back while he was seperated! With a shout you fire your Explosive Wave and dash to the wounded prince. You smash the attacker to bits, then grab the prince and carry him to the ground, standing over him.
"S-sorry Karn." the prince chokes out. "I-I got carried away and he got me. I'm sor-"
"Prince, enough!" you order sternly, smashing two of the machines together. "You're not dying today, your highnes! So stop the damn waterworks, and calm down. Slow your heart rate, it'll slow your bleeding."
"Y-yes sir."
"Gyaaaaaah!"
"Aaaaaaaahhhh!"

"Tunnip! Nappa!" Meloka shouts out. You turn and look, and see both Nappa and Tunnip knocked from the air. One of the machines lucks out with a single punch across your face while you're distracted, bringing you back into focus. You smash it quickly, then the next dozen that rush you. But you soon realize something. Your team is in a bad spot, the prince critical and Nappa/Tunnip's conditions unknown.

No. This is your fault. Your team, your friends. They're suffering because you led them into this. You led them down this path, and the prince is fading at your feet. You, will not, let them, suffer, ANYMORE!!

With a mighty shout, you push yourself into your golden state. But instead of settling at that level, you reach deeper. Your friends' lives are on the line, you can't afford to hold back now, consequences be damned! Roaring out, you reach even deeper into that golden well of power, ground cracking under your feet. Your power explodes out from you, sending those machines tumbling away like leaves in the wind. You quickly dispatch the remaining machine men, their entire assembled might no challenge for you now. As you finish the last of them, the ground opens up before you, four of the colossal machines rising up on lifts around the area. Then a fifth machine appears before you.

"Well well well, what have we here?" the machine starts in a familiar robotic voice. "The ape again tramples on a planet I decide to call home. Welcome, ape, to yet another world you do not belong on."
"Dr. Nefarious." you growl through gritted teeth. "I'm gonna tear you apart."
"That will be rather difficult for you, since you'll be dead and all. Boys, fire!"
And with that the four colossi grab their bombs and hoist them overhead.

And with that the four colossi grab their bombs and hoist them overhead. But before they can fire them, your ship swoops in overhead, the pilot using the ship's laser to destroy two before they're activated. Meloka, who took to the air behind Dr. Nefarious quietly, fires two Energy Javelins into the others, destroying them as well.

Opening the scouter's channel, you order Tunnip and Nappa to get the prince into the healing pod. But Dr. Nefarious overhears you, turning to face you.
"Not one of you will leave here alive!" he shouts. "Shoot down that ship!"

You dash past Nefarious and put yourself between the giants and your ship, firing a Dual Energy Wave into the oncoming lasers, holding them back. But when the other two fire into your attacks as well, you feel yourself getting pushed back despite your golden power. You suddenly feel something on your back, then see Meloka's arms on top of yours.
"Come on, Karn. We can beat them. Together!"
Nodding along, you dig deeper and increase your output as Meloka fires off a Dual Energy Wave as well, your combined energy holding the colossals' energy back.
"Karn we're in." Tunnip's voice comes in through your scouter. "Headed back to orbit now, Nappa's gonna assist you."

"Too bad you won't live to see it!" you shout and dash at the machine. Catching the doctor by surprise, your right hook sends it flying. As it rights itself, the doctor prepares to intercept your move, only for you to use youe speed and dash around it faster than it can follow. It tries to fire some kind of blast at you, but only hits your golden trail as you deliver a crushing blow with your foot. The impact sends the doctor crashing into the ground and you follow in close pursuit. As you go to follow up, the doctor punches you in the face with a left jab. But you simply power through the hit and deliver one of your own, sending the doctor back into the dirt.

Coughing, Dr. Nefarious picks himself back up off of the ground and faces you, face no longer joking. He's serious now. Crossing his arms in front of him, his arms begin to glow red. Your intuition tells you that this cannot be good.

Yeah that can't be good. So you won't let him do whatever that is. Dashing quickly, your speed catches him off-guard, a viscious uppercut to the metal guts. Staggered, the doctor is unable to counter as you rain a string of crushing blows down on him, ending with an elbow to the skull, kicking its right knee in backwards then finishing with a left uppercut to the jaw, sending the doctor flying.

The doctor recovers mid-air, glaring daggers down at you. He rights himself, then grabs something from behind his back. Shouting into the device, you hear him say,
"It is time! All forces, attack!!"

At the command, the ground again opens up in several spots. But instead of platforms rising out of the ground, saucer-like ships blast out instead. Unlike the regular saucers, these vessels are built for war. Heavily armed and armored, these ships mean business. Before you can launch yourself into the fray again, Meloka and Nappa dash over to you, everyones' backs together as the ships pour from the ground.
"Can't you see, monkeys?" Nefarious cackles. "You cannot beat me! I've prepared for this day, the day of my vengeance!"
"These look like fun!" Nappa says enthusiastically, while Meloka looks less than pleased.
"I don't think this'll be easy. Whats the plan?"

You can't let him get away, not again!
"You two hold off the saucers. Nefarious is mine!" With that, you dash after Nefarious, who is trying to make his way into one of the saucer launch bays. You dodge and smash your way through the attacking warships, making it into the bay he went down several seconds ago. But instead of the doctor, you see a swarm of the Grey anti-air missiles coming up at you. You block as best you can, trying to force your way through. But the explosion is simply too much, blasting you up and back out of the tunnel, it collapsing in ot itself from the blast. Damn, he got away. Looking around, you see Nappa and Meloka fighting back-to back. Until Nappa takes a hit from behind, Meloka simply unable to cover that much area. As she turns to Nappa, she's also hit by one of the warship's blasts. Seperated, they're both picked apart and blasted down into the ground.
Things aren't looking good for your team, and you feel your control of the gold form starting to waver.

You watch Nappa blasted from the air, then Meloka screaming in pain as she's blasted as well. No. These bastards. Will. PAY!! How DARE they try and kill your friends?! THIS. ENDS! NOW!!

"RrraaaAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

You're consumed by rage, by hatred, the desire to destroy. You can't think, can't reason. All that matters is making these bastards PAY! You launch yourself into the warships, shrugging off blasts that flattened Meloka and Nappa. These toys cannot stop you. Your fists shatter each the ships with a single strike, each one going up in a firey explosion. You rampage, destroying every single one. Some try to flee to space, but you move so fast you appear a few dozen yards ahead of them. They try to change course, but you're merciless in your revenge. Within 30 seconds, every one of the warships lays destroyed, strewn across the wastes. You stand alone among the wreckage, rage still filling your mind, when you see Meloka stand out of the wreckage. Before you can say anything to her, a saucer blasts up and out of the ground, headed for open space.

"You may have won this time monkey, but next time I'll win for certain!" Dr. Nefarious' voice comes out over the ship's speakers. "But before I go, here's a going away present!"
With that, his ship releases five of the colossus bombs down, right at Meloka and presumably Nappa.
"Farewell, ape! MUHAHAHAHAAA!!"

You can't afford to miss, Meloka and Nappa are injured. So ignoring Nefarious' escape, you dash up into the middle of the falling bombs and release all of your power. As the light fades, you're alone in the air, Nefarious probably long gone by now. You're only slightly winded, despite the power you've put forth. You drift down to the ground, and are greeted by an astounded Meloka and Nappa.
"K-Karn? Is that you?" Meloka asks, worried.
"Its me." you say, a smile coming to your face.
"Oh Karn!" Meloka shouts, rushing to you and grabbing on for dear life. "What happened to you?"
"That's what I'd like to know." Nappa says, looking shellshocked. "You haven't even noticed have you?"
"Noticed what?"
But instead of answering you, he picks up a busted saucer dome, the mirror polished metal showing you what you look like. Blonde hair, green eyes, you look like the description in the book Vegeta showed you. You are the Super Saiyan.

You can't help it, you simply start laughing. Your head back, you just fall to the ground and laugh, a surprised Meloka dragged on top of you. After everything you have been through for the past several years, all the blood and sweat, has led you here: to becoming the Legendary Super Saiyan. You laugh at the simple absurdity of ot all. Of you, a simple low-class warrior, achieving a power that surpasses even the mighty Freeza himself. You laugh and laugh until you can't breathe. You see Nappa trying to use his scouter on you, only for the machine to explode right on his face.
"Son of a bitch!" the general swears, holding his ear in pain and surprise. "Meloka, try and scan him."
"Fuck that, I'm not wasting my scouter too." she tells him, still laying on top of you. Activating only the speech channel, she calls for Tunnip to come land beside you all. You simply lay there as the ship approaches, suddenly too tired to get up. Meloka looks back down at you as you drift off and smiles, saying,
"Go ahead Karn, go sleep. You've done enough today."
Sleep takes you.

When you wake up, you see that you're in your room on the ship. But what is unusual is that Meloka isn't there with you. Looking around, you see that you're alone in your room. You try and sit up, only for every muscle and joint in your body to groan in protest. Gritting your teeth, you manage to get out of bed and stand upright. But apparently your groans were heard as Meloka and surprisingly the prince burst through the door.
"Karn you're awake!" Meloka shouts, dashing into your arms, her head on your chest and starts crying uncontrollably.
"Iwassoworriedyoujustwouldn'twakeupanditsbeenamonthnowand-"
"Meloka." you say, stopping her rambling. "I'm fine. Look at me."
She does, but is unable to form words. She simply breaks down sobbing again. You just sigh and hold her.
"Good to see you up and moving again, Prince Vegeta." you say, noting he's switched into a not-damaged suit of armor. "Had me worried there for a bit."
"Yeah I'm alive." he says sourly. "But that's about it. I didn't help at all down there, and I almost got everyone killed looking out for me. You should have just forgotten me and finished the mission!"

"Vegeta, listen to me." you say sternly, staring the young prince down. "You made a mistake. We've all made mistakes before. My first mission, Me, Nappa, and Leyas were all captured by Tuffles, of all things. But what's important is to learn from it. Don't make the same mistakes twice."
The prince nods along as you talk, absorbing your words.

"And second, we do not abandon our own. Ever. We all land on a planet together, we're all leaving together, or not at all. Period. Understand?"
"Yes sir!" the prince nods, the fire back in his eyes.
"Good." you reply, relaxing a bit. "Wait. Meloka, how long did you say I was out for?"
Sniffing, she's regained most of her composure during your speech. She looks up at you and tells you that you've been unconcious for a month now. Soon as she says that, your stomach rumbles audibly, causing Meloka and the prince to both start laughing.
"Well, sounds like someone else's awake too. C'mon Karn, let's go get something to eat."

And so you do. You spend over an hour eating, your teammates around you asking questions and talking and laughing. Over the meal, you discover that your team's been told to return to Freeza Planet 79, and are only two weeks away from arrival.

both over 20k. You are at 21971, and Vegeta has shot past you again. Between the Zenkai boost from being impaled and then the training, he is now up to 22528. You both meet up with everyone on the bridge as your ship enters atmosphere.
"Greetings Karn, long time no see." your commander's voice comes through the speaker. "Good hunting out there?"
"Couldn't be better, Cui." you say back, as your ship angles to the cargo bay that serves as your ship's LZ. "How's everything been on this front?"
"Same old here." he says. Once you land, come up to the Operations Deck. We've got your next mission to discuss."
"Sure, we'll be there." you tell Cui, the commander then cutting the connection.

As the ship lands, everyone follows you out after you give the usual commands to the pilot. Your group makes way to the Operations Deck, everything much the same as you remember, even Cui.
"Good, you're here." he says, getting right down to business. "We got a call from a client that a certain someone who just escaped from you is setting up shop on one of the worlds he purchased. And he's not happy about this. So he's called us to exterminate that pest. You guys game?"

"Of course, that fucker's mine." you spit with more venom than you probably intended. "I'm going to finish him off, once and for all."
"Good." is Cui's reply. "Once you've arrived, the client will set up a barrier to prevent anyone from entering or leaving the planet until either you or it is defeated."
"Speaking of." Meloka speaks up. "Who is the client?"
"The one who calls himself 'The Master of Masters.' But his name is Aku."

I assume we just need to learn how to use it through repeated use like goku, and later gohan, do. The multiplier has always been a static X50 for SSJ.
The only differences between Goku's Full Power SSJ and Vegeta's SSJ were;
>Goku's full power SSJ form had mitigated energy usage, stamina loss, and aggression increase.
>Vegeta's SSJ was probably leaking energy everywhere and he was in no mind to fight properly.
>Vegeta probably had an inferior base form powerlevel when compared to Goku at the time.
All those factors added up to Goku blowin Vegeta out of the water when he stepped out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

>>1675652
Somewhere between Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2. Haven't thought quite that far ahead yet.
>Beating Freeza
Not for quite some time, but maybe one day.
>>
>>1675652
we've only passed the 1 mil mark with ssj we're only as strong as Frieza's second form, we'd have to be at least past 1 mil in our base form to maybe stand a chance against his final form or 100% power, remember piccolo made it easy against frieza up to his final form.
>>
>>1675684
while a lot of people say that super saiyan 2 is x100, in reality it's supposed to be ss1 x2. That means that if you have x50 multiplier on super saiyan 1, then super saiyan 2 is x100 like people think, but a mastered ss1 at x75 would make ss2 x150 your base strength. Crazy to think about. super saiyan 3 is x4 the super saiyan 2, or x8 for the super saiyan 1. There's a reason why power levels are bullshit and none of this stuff is actually used in the main canon. Yet somehow Toei still gets to profit off this crap. Makes it easier to figure out karn's stats in the game though, so that's nice.
>>
>>1675692

>>
>>1675755
>Because they were introduced to be pointless?
Introducing in the first place was a mistake as fans were obviously never gonna let go of it.
It's the only semi-accurate way to rank characters in terms of power.
Who in the right mind would think a bunch of 10-24 year old's were gonna throw that away?
>>
>>1675769
It was a good concept. But they fucked it at final form Freeza. 530k-1million-2or4million-100million. Was a mistake.
>Who in the right mind would think a bunch of 10-24 year old's were gonna throw that away?
Nobody.
>>
>>1675794
>530k-1million-2or4million-100million
I think that was more as a way to show just how big and tough frieza is compared to the rest of the cast, as well as to drive home how fucked they were if they were struggling with less than 1% of his actual full power.
I do however think that the numbers got way too big, way too fast.
We went from big fights being in the 10's of thousands to millions in about 2 dozen chapters?
And then after that it goes to billions by the time we get to Cell.
Couldn't just have it be reasonable step ups in power I guess.
>>
>>1675816
That's why I showed Freeza's numbers. That is the exact moment powerlevels became bullshit. Then they had to give Goku the bs-Zenkai boost to get anywhere close.
>>
>>1675823
Can you imagine the world where Kaioken only went up to X2 or X3 and SSJ was X10 instead?
And maybe we got to one billion by the end of Buu Saga?
>>
>>1675823
>Then they had to give Goku the bs-Zenkai boost to get anywhere close.
>Literally went from like ~180000 to 3mil
So when do we get that zenkai GDQM?
>>
>>1675755
yes, but of course Toei tries to keep them relevant anyway
>>
>>1675841
That's only in the bullshit guidebooks.
Otherwise numerical powerlevels aren't mentioned ever again after the Frieza saga.
Unless you wanna talk about Kili numbers during the Buu saga, but nobody ever uses those.
>>
>>1675844
Those guidebooks are bullshit, but there's always dumbasses trying to use them anyway. You'll even see people try to somehow crunch all the power levels after Freeza and end up with bullshit numbers. It honestly annoys me so much that there are people that still refer to power levels when they're supposed to be unreliable and not how strength works at all.
>>
>>1675853
Again, most fans didn't get the point of power levels introduction and eventual shelving, and they'll never get rid of a numerical metric to rank their favorite characters on.
It's a losing battle at this point.
>>
>>1675831
That math wouldn't make me want to join Karn on committing genocide.

What need does a wizard have for rule? He doesn't seem to care about rule at all. If he wanted to, he could brainwash plenty of people with majinization. Not like most of them would have the willpower to fight it off at all. Instead, he just has Buu destroy some of the planets that he's sent too, for unstated reasons, which you wouldn't really do if you wanted to rule - no point in ruling a bunch of corpses, man. I think he's looking for something at each of those planets he goes to, trying to find something. I find it hard to believe he'd go through all the effort he did in killing off all of the inhabitants (most of which being low-tier fucks) of several planets via buu, without having been looking for something.

Also the two looked completely different, and Boros didn't had shapeshifter powers

What I'm saying is if someone's able to destroy that, they don't necessarily have to BEAT Boros to kill him.

QM QUESTION TIME!
I'll be checking through thread today while at work, so figured I'd try to get some feedback and see where I can improve the quest for as many as possible.
Most/least favorite planets so far?
Favorite moment(s)?
Complaints?

Ha. Well the names are only relevant in situations like yesterday's epilogue.
I've said before and I'll say again: I'm not here to kill off the characters for cheap feels. If/when character(s) die, it won't be a "rocks fall they die".

TOKI TOKI CITY, AGE 848

"You know," Trunks thinks to himself, exiting the time machine, "Maybe if the Supreme Kai of Time would actually help me, we could have fixed that one scroll by now."

As he returned to Toki Toki City from his most recent mission, that one scroll had suddenly popped back into his mind. For the past several months now, Trunks has scoured every inch of the scroll, looking for the one moment that changed history. And he'd done it! Back in Age 732, Karn chose a different path in that scroll. Comparing Karn's Scroll(as he'd now come to think of it) with the true scroll, there was absolutely no difference between the two up until that choice. But finding the change provided no help. No outside forces affected Karn that he could tell, he simply chose differently. So he took on another quick mission to take a break from that impossible problem. But returning to the Time Nest brought it right back to him, and he still had no new ideas.

Sitting back to the table, he looks at the scroll again to see what had happened since he was away. And the sight he sees greatly disturbs him: Vegeta being impaled by one of those terminator machines. Karn rushes to him and saves him from dying immediately, then lays the wounded prince down to continue the fight. Karn stands over the prince, still advising the child while standing over him and defending him. The way Vegeta looks up to Karn, Trunks can barely believe that that child and his father are the same person. How different, and perhaps better, would his father be if he'd grown up with Karn teaching him? Screams from the scroll break Trunks out of his thoughts. Looking back down, he sees Tunnip and Nappa getting shot down, then Karn's rage exploding and transforming again into that False Super Saiyan form. Except this time Karn doesn't stop. His strength keeps going up.

"What's going on?" Trunks asks aloud. "Supreme Kai of Time needs to see this." Ignoring her earlier request to be left alone, Trunks rushes to her sanctum and knocks, calling out, "Supreme Kai of Time, you really need to see this!"
"Ugh, Trunks, not now!" Chronoa calls out, sounding like an exasperated teenager talking to her parents. "If it's that same scroll again...!"
"It is. And you really need to see this!" Trunks shouts through the door.
"Fine, fine!" Chronoa shouts, kicking her door open. "Let's see it then! This had better be good!"

>>1678570
Chronoa and Trunks watch Karn and Meloka fighting the machines, and Dr. Nefarious appear. They sit on the edge of their seats, trapped watching the daring rescue of Prince Vegeta, as well as Karn dominating Nefarious, Nappa and Tunnip destroying the colossi, and Karn's failed pursuit of Dr. Nefarious.

As they continue watching the scroll, they see it. Nappa and Meloka are shot down, and then it happens. Karn's rage explodes forth and he ascends into a Super Saiyan, shocking Trunks and Chronoa speechless.
"D-did he just?" Trunks starts.
"No. No he can't do this. This is all wrong!" Chronoa shouts. "This can't happen! Trunks, we have to fix this."
"R-Right. Oh, and I found it!" Trunks says, suddenly excited. "I found the point where Karn's history diverged."
"Show me."

And so, Trunks and the Supreme Kai of Time again pour over the scroll, trying to find the source of the distortion.

>Tfw they try to fix it
>Tfw Towa throws us back to stop them
>Tfw them 'fixing' it just makes us enemies.
>>
>>1678618
They can't fix it, it would go against everything they are as time patrollers, their job is to prevent outside influence changing time, every time line is different with different choices being made if they try and make them all the same then that goes against everything they stand for, they would be the bad guys, every time line must play out naturally no matter the end result, if Buu was supposed to win then so be, if Frieza was supposed to win then so be it so long as they won without outside influence like Towa.

Could happen.
>>1678638
The timeline -became- distorted when Karn chose differently.
This timeline would have been different than the usual one, Kakarot would have died in Planet Vegeta's explosion.
>>
>>1678663
So when Trunks actually gets close enough to sense us, is he gonna notice a dozen or so barely noticeable energies around Karn?
>>
>>1678578
Now for T.O.W.A.
and/or someone a little colder than frieza who was watching
>>
>>1678663
Did Towa make him choose differently? No.
That is how time lines are, every time a choice is made two or more timelines are created from the choice in Karn's choice he made a choice one ended in his death, the other in him living.

A good example is in a DBZ doujin taking into count the multi-verse, in one universe the similarities between the DBZ we know and this other universe is virtually the same except for one difference, Vegeta and Goku were still fused with the earrings making them Vegito
And the only reason this was the case was because Vegito chose not to lower the shield while inside Buu that would have separated them.

It would not make any sense for the time line to distort unless Karns decision that kept him alive was a direct manipulation from Towa or some other entity and anons don't count.

>>1678712
This timeline was SUPPOSED to play out like usual, until Freeza arrived to destroy Planet Vegeta. In this timeline, Kakarot wouldn't have gotten sent off of Planet Vegeta in time and he would have died in the explosion.
>anons don't count
You have no idea what really happened. I'm saving that reveal.
>>
>>1678751
Then it's confirmed something or someone did influence the decision, fair enough, then their reason to interfere is valid.
>>
One particular thing I used in a mission-centric Tabletop game I run is the unnamed parasites of Parasyte.
They're really good for both a combat challenge, since they're typically resilient enough to hunt whatever their host species is on a regular basis, and for a social challenge since it's incredibly difficult to tell who could be a parasite host or not. It made for a very tense mission, and a player almost died thanks to the on-the-fly shapeshifting allowing for mobility, offense, or defense when needed.
>>
>>1678821
Exactly. If the scroll hadn't changed, there would be nothing for SKoT and Trunks to worry about. But the longer they don't fix the change, the more the scroll is changing.

ELSEWHERE, AGE ???

"Mistress Towa, a moment."
"Yes Mira, what is it?" Towa asks her creation.
"You wanted an update on the Karn timeline when something happened, yes?"
"Alright then, show me." Towa orders. Mira brings the crystal ball up, and the pair watch Karn as he's fighting Dr. Nefarious' machines. The prince is unexpectedly defeated, and then Nappa and Tunnip are knocked from the sky, causing Karn to become enraged.

"Honestly, why are they so dramatic about it?" Towa thinks to herself, watching Karn shift into the imperfect Super Saiyan form. "It is honestly just boring at this point."
Then Karn does something unexpected. He pushes the form further, powerlevel climbing higher and higher.
"Mira, what is his current power?" Towa asks, watching Karn fight Nefarious.
"13.1 Kilis." Mira replies. "Shall we move in to capture him now?"
"No, not yet." Towa says, somewhat amazed by his increase in power. "Let's see how much stronger he can get first."
"Very well." Mira says, as he resumes watching the fight. Karn loses Nefarious down the tunnel, then Meloka and Nappa get blasted from the sky. Karn loses his mind, and finally does it. Towa watches entranced as Karn transforms into a Super Saiyan.

"Yes."
"Well well little Saiyan." Towa says, watching Karn obliterating the saucers. "You never fail to impress me. Continue like this, and I just might have use for you."

As the fight draws to a close, Towa instructs Mira to return the orb to its' resting place, and notify her if something else pops up. Turning back to her work, she continues making adjustments to the magical energies surrounding the mask.
"Soon, you'll be mine, little Saiyan." Towa says, smiling smugly to herself.

Not from the first try, but 2 or 3 rolls more, and we will get our deadly waifu.

QM QUESTION TIME

Are any of you guys in an actual martial art? Ever been in a real fight?
>>
>>1687541
Yes and yes. 5 years training in Shaolin Kempo and a year in boxing. I moved away from my dojo years ago but still practice and keep the teachings, forms and moves in mind.

I've been in a few fights where is has come in handy, although not for many years. For the most part I haven't had to use anything serious from my training, usually just locks and restraints etc until the person calms down and you can walk away.

It's actually part of what drew me into dragon ball z, I love the martial arts aspect and the great fights etc
>>
>>1687559
Impressive. Only been in TKD, Tai Juitsu, and a touch of Tai Chi for a year this september.
>>
>>1687541
Black belt second dan in Tae Kwon Do, left the club at 12 for Jeet Kun Do where I was trained by a my uncle who was a practitioner of JKD and Kick Boxing, still practice JKD and instruct at his Dojo.

In terms of being in a fight I've never thrown a punch or kick to harm, I only believe in disarming and restricting my opponents in a non painful manner.
>>
>>1687640
It's interesting the different mentalities of various martial arts. Personally I try to avoid hurting people as well (assuming they aren't too much of a danger), but my style of martial arts is very much in the business of ruthlessly taking down your opponent as quickly and effectively as possible. This ends up translating to a lot of brakes and maiming. For example, one solution to a punch being thrown at you results in the opponents arm being broken at the elbow.

Would you say TKD and JKD are geared more towards takedowns that don't do too much harm or is that more a personal thing for you?
>>
>>1687658
TKD has some holds that aren't painful unless the victim struggles
JKD is more aggressive but I use the holds to restrict their movements rather than try and dislocate their limbs or break bone.
>>
>>1687640
Am only yellow belt in each TKD and Tai Juitsu. How is Jeet Kun Do, nowhere around here teaches it.
I've only been in a few fights, and they were way back when I was in public school. But I never started them.
>>1687658
How is Kenpo? For me, grapples are fun, and so are pressure point attacks. I have a great ability my sensei discovered. I'm immune to pressure point attacks. Twisting joints still works, but pressure points don't affect me at all.

the philosophy that Bruce Lee explains around it is very fitting to the overall style of the martial art 'Be like water' it is very aggressive almost like Krav Maga.

On another note pic related.
>>
>>1687541
Got a year of a Judo. And because of 3.5 gopniks per square meter, it's a miracle, that I am still in one pice.
>>
>>1687905
This anon here is right >>1687969 in saying that it is very aggressive. Shaolin Kempo combines explosive point of origin attacks with various locks and grapples. It's known as the "way of the fist" and along with that you'll find that whilst there is some basic kicks and leg stuff, it's much more oriented towards palm strikes, punches and the various "Five Animal" style strikes.

A lot of what I learned, even right from white belt were breaks and maims. For example, if someone were to grab your collar and go for a punch, you might pin their hand against your chest, move backwards to force their arm holding you into an outstretched position (this also pulls them off balance and puts you out of reach of their punch) and then strike at the outside of the elbow to force a break. You could then follow that up with various shit like a strike to the neck to knock out and then a hook to pull them down into a knee etc etc.

So yeah, aggressive but extremely effective at eliminating threats quickly. The idea is to render your opponent unable to pursue or harm you and yours with speed and precision.
>>
>>1687541
A few years in karate and my uncle taught me to box for a couple of years. I had a few fights but most of them were back in elementary and middle school. I can say I'm a fairly easygoing guy, so if I got into fights they were because the guy I was fighting was that much of a dick. I never got into any in high school though, most people were easy to talk with.
>>
>>1687559
What do you think about boxing? I have no experience in martial arts, but I'd like to learn something.
>>
>>1688068
Boxing is worthwhile for simple but effective fighting technique, stamina and endurance. Kickboxing is even better. The only thing I think I should mention (as a psychologist) is to be aware of repeated blows to the head. Even if you aren't being knocked out, repeated blows to the head can cause cumulative damage over time leading to issues with focus, attention and reduced ability to retain information along with mood control and stress management issues. You see the same issues show up in sports like football etc where athletes are expected to take big hits and keep on playing without any real downtime for mental recovery.

In saying that, unless you go all out and start looking in to competing it probably wont be an issue. Just be sure to take time to let your brain rest occasionally after taking blows (so no reading, gaming, etc, just relaxation)

Such a good pic. I'm a very defensive fighter, I do best blocking and countering. I'm a shit offensive fighter.
>>1687977
Judo is nice. Throws for days.
>>1688019
>So yeah, aggressive but extremely effective at eliminating threats quickly. The idea is to render your opponent unable to pursue or harm you and yours with speed and precision.
Sounds efficient. I'm not personally a fan of TKD's high kicks, way too much flash with no substance. I'm a big fan of break grabs.
>>1688028
Had fun fighting, but too old for that shit now. I never started a fight, but I wouldn't back down when some dumbfuck started shit.
>>1688068
It'll certainly make a man out of you. It, in my honest opinion, is the best to do if you're going to get into a real fight. You learn to take a punch.

Speaking of pocket sand, you know what move never gets used enough? Solar Flash. I mean, just about everyone has eyes right? It's a great utility move that is totally underutilized

>>1688507
>hasn't thrown someone onto concrete
You want to take the fight out of someone, concrete works.

Best move
>>1688642
Krillin could have been a great assassin. Hides his powerlevel completely, solar flare, then kienzan. gg no re.
>>
>>1688884
I think a giant glowing disk with a loud as "WRRRRRR" is the antithesis to practical assassination.
But like a quiet Dodon Ray though, that'd be tight as shit.
>>
>>1688927
Krillin would have been a real monster if he'd trained crane school. He was already a "screw honor" kinda guy when he fought. If he'd gone to Shen instead of Roshi, he would be a great hit-and-run fighter.
>>
>>1688937
I think he goes on to teach a lot of team tactic stuff if DB Online is canon in any type of way.
He saw the power gap between humans and aliens and thought the best way to overcome that was making the best use of superior numbers.
Meanwhile Tien just remembered that time he held off Semi-Perfect Cell and started teaching super badass concentrated Ki Attacks.

QM PREGAME QUESTION

Do you guys mind if I simply add moves like I did this past thread with Final Flash on special occasions, or does everyone prefer to only through votes choose what Karn learns?
