You are a Will 'o' wisp, a demon summoned from the Abyss to kill a priest, but instead, you revolted against your summoners and killed them. After that happened you escaped the village and wandered through a forest, injuring a treant and meeting a mysterious druid in the meantime.
After a short talk the Druid accepted you as his apprentice, now you are standing in what appears to be a library and the Druid asks you a question
"So, what do you want to learn?"

"Moon Magic seems interesting"
"And it surely is, my fiery friend" The druid replies and you begin training.
This magic is a like a mix between that of people and your own - you channel the moon's power and gather your own at the same time.
He teaches you theory and basics for a few hours, and when the dusk comes you begin casting your first spell.
"Imagine a branch made out of light sprouting from your hand" The druid instructed you "Once this thought is formed you let the power flow, give it to this image" as he said those words light shoot out of his hand, forming into a branch. "Now's your turn!"
You do the same as he instructed, but you just can't do it right - the idea of powering up a thought seems dumb to you.
You are about to give up, but then you feel the intervention of something bigger and power flows like a river, almost beyond the limits of what your body can handle.
You lift your hand up in a mechanical manner, being led by instincts more than by logic, and suddenly a shining bubble shoots out of it!
While it was enough to surprise both you and the Druid, it wasn't the end...
When the bubble reached the nearest source of light it exploded, leaving silver traces in the air, and when you moved they moved as well - you could control them!
Ability Earned: Moonlight bubble - You shoot a bubble made of moonlight to control light from a nearby source, almost unnoticeable during night
"Well well, that is something new, any idea why did it happen?" He then made an expression as if he remembered something and said "But there is a more important thing right now - We didn't even introduce each other! My name's Salazar Ozexdor and I assume that since you're only a lesser demon you don't have one, so, do you care to tell me your backstory?"

You quickly summarize what happened to you, and he looks at your face contemplating what he has been told.
"You are one interesting fella, aren't you?" He said, then reached for a scroll lying on a nearby shelf "There's only one thing about your story that really bothers me, and it's why isn't the village you are speaking of on any maps?" He then opened the scroll that was, in fact, a map and showed you a great forest area with a few swamps in it, called "The Great Karimian Forest"
"It may not be on your maps, but it's real, I swear!" You said, afraid that he might take your story as fiction.
"I do believe it's real, I just can't believe it stayed hidden for so long..." He said, wondering about something "But anyways, from your story I hear you haven't rested for quite some time, so why don't you go to sleep and we'll talk again tomorrow?"
>Go to sleep?
>Refuse and talk/study/other(write in)
>>
>>1659064
Meh we can study tomorrow let's just get our 2 magic books from the forest and go to sleep.
>>
>>1659069
"Sure, I'll just take my books from the forest and go to sleep"
"Books? Would be glad to see them, but that's a thing for tomorrow - I'm off!" He said and went to his room to sleep.
You took the books without any trouble and went to sleep in what appeared to be a guest room.
In your dream nothing was certain, you only saw shapes, but those were great shapes, and great was the energy that emanated from them - You certainly weren't in the Abyss...
When you woke up you felt something was changed inside you, but it was yet to discover.
You look for the Druid but he is nowhere to be seen, will you:
>Study

>>
>>1659082

Where will you look for him?
>Forest

>Cellar
>His room
>Attic

>>
>>1659102

>>1659124
You enter his room, thinking that maybe he didn't wake up yet, but he isn't there, the bed is done and everything is nicely lined up. You are about to leave and take a quick glance out of the window and see him standing there!
You rush out of the house and fly in his direction, surprising him a bit

"Still wanna see my books teacher?"
"Wha... Yeah, Yeah, just let me finish picking those herbs" Salazar seemed even more surprised by your question. "You could help me, you know?"
After picking the herbs you go inside Salazar's library and you give him your books to examine.
First, goes the one about sigils. When you hand it over to him you can see nostalgia in his eyes, but it quickly changes to amusement.
"No wonder that those villagers couldn't make you obey them, my brother's guides are only good as a tinder for your chimney" He laughed "Let's don't waste time on this piece, show me the second one"
You pull out the other book and this time the druid seems genuinely dumbstruck.
"I have no clue what this book is, it must be a very old one..." He pulled the lock and suddenly it opened!
You could feel that this time the books magic is other than always, it felt like a delicate breeze of power, not the raging pulse you usually felt from it. You looked at Salazar's face and saw that he was shocked like he saw a ghost.
"What is it? The book always pulses with magic, thought I have to give it to you that it's different this time."
Salazar looked at you and said, "Can you please tell me what was the book's title when you first held it?"
"Title? The arts of magical Arcana." You said, with no idea what he was talking about.
"Then look at this!" He pointed at the books front cover, now saying "The cycle of life - About nature and runes"
"I don't understand what we have here, but one is sure, it teaches you what you most need, and if the priest gets this, no one will have enough power to defeat him." He said, gravely serious
"But now I have a question, can I read this book?" He said, hungry for knowledge
>Yes/no

Feeling better today, gonna quest for few hours then I'm gonna go to the doctor to get checked
>>
>>1660945
Sure let's read It together.
>>
>>1661005
"Sure, but only if we read it together"
"Okay, after all it's your book" the druid responded.
Yousat down to read it, but despite the fact that Salazar was reading it like a normal book, you couldn't concentrate on it and the letters were dancing all over it's pages.
You thought that maybe when he read it out loud you could understand it, but no - the voice was loke coming from far away and you couldn't hear a clear word, so you blamed it on the books nature and decided to do something different
>What was it?
>>
Bump
>>
>>1661226
Instead of bumping you could've pushed the story further...
>>
>>1661056
Practiced more sigils
>>
>>1661355
"I'll go and practice some sigils then"
"Sigils? I only have my brother's books on this topic, so go straight for the most advanced one, the others are useless theory" The druid dwelved into the lecture again, better don't disturb him.
You go and search for the book, and after a short while you find it on the lowest shelf, covered in dust - it wasn't touched in years.
Some of the books contents were damaged by the flow of the time, some didn't make any sense, but two chapters were intact, and that's good for you.
You will be reading chapter:
>Summoning demons and residents of the Abyss
>Shaping the reality
>>
>>1662436
>Summoning demons and residents of the Abyss
>>
>1662450
You decide that reading the chapter about summoning will be better, so you read it.
It's fascinating but also weird to be reading about it, just as it would be for a human to read about birth, after all this spell put you in this world.
The summoning itself is easy, you just need to write the properties you want the summoned entity to have, then you connect them into geometrical shapes, put some power into it and the demon is at your service!
Ability gained: Lesser summoning- say what purpose the summoned entity should serve, then you roll a d20 and gain a servant + a minus to int as long as he serves you.
You are thinking about trying out your new ability and then you hear a knock on the door!
Salazar gets up and says "come in! " and the person comes in, his apperance surprising the druid.
"And you are who? " He asks.
"A simple hunter, never searching for a fight, thought this time I might have found one... "
"What do you mean? " Both you and Salazar are intrigued
"You see, we were riding throught the forest as usual, hunting, the out of nowhere there is a village, and a huge one. You understand? A huge village in the middle of fucking nowhere, it was obvious we'd check it out." he took a short pause and continued "So yeah, we walk inside the village and all of sudden the villagers run at us, screaming. My comrades decided to confront them, I chickened out, and that saved my damn life... " This time he took a longer pause, thinking about something "But I couldn't let their deaths go for waste, so I spied inside the village and ummm... Basically... It seems we are gonna have a war!" The last sentence was shouted, as if he feared being interrupted.
>your reaction?
>>
>>1662581
Curiosity; who are these villagers and how did the village get where it is? Investigation into the cause seems a worthy goal though for now we should learn more spells. We may very well end up like the hunters friend.

"And just who the hell are YOU!"
"A demon summoned by one of the said villagers in order to kill their priest, and I wanna fulfill my purpose..." You said, the hunter distrustful, but deciding to talk when you mentioned killing the priest.
"They are crazy, they don't talk among themselves like they knew everything about each other, but once they see someone new or are doing their whole rituals they break up into incomprehensible madman's speech..." He thought for a moment and started talking again "And no children. There only were old people and adults, no one under 20 years.... "It means they will fucking attack!"
He is now refusing to talk, possibly reliving the death of his friends, but there is more to worry about - if they attack then you need to hurry up and prepare!
You turn to Salazar, but it seems that he got the same idea.
"I'm gonna message my brother about all this, we may hate each other but as a family, we also have to help each other out..."
He then left to send his message

The help of powerful treants would be nice, so you fly to the forest and search for them.
At first, you can't seem to find them, but after stabbing a few trees with a stone you finally hear the crackling and a low ouch-like song that was made by awakening treant.
Along with him the rest woke up, and circled you, curious at what do you have to tell them.
You flew higher and started talking.
"Tree people! There is a person that is threatening to both of us, and he's coming here, we need to defend our home!"
Despite the fact that you aren't a great communicator you bet they wouldn't understand even when a king was speaking to them - you only innervated them

Sorry for late reply guys, my pc decided to be an ass on me and not show any replies.

You go deeper into the forest, thinking that since you can't count on treants help you might as well just get stronger yourself.
After a bit of searching you see a small deer, so you try to hunt it.
First, you try to kill it with a thrown stone, but you miss and it starts running, so you use your curse on it, but yet again it misses, only killing some grass....

Critical success!

You decide that after you found such a good animal you won't let it go so easily.
You fly through the forest with extreme ease, catching up to the deer in no time, then using telekinesis to kill it with a tree.
The tree was rather old and damaged, but you broke it at just the right moment to hit the creature on its head, killing it in place.
The corpse was unobtainable from under the tree, but it was no trouble for you, as you devoured its soul without even touching the dead carapace.
You leveled up!
Upgrade one stat and then choose one of those abilities:
>Swift Telekinesis: Allows you to move objects at greater speed, in effect gaining more force.
>Curse of Aging III: You can precisely say how much does the target age

You look around to see if there's anything more left to do and hear faint hissing in the bushes

You bait out his attack, and when he rushes you send a sharp stone down his throat, which -as expected - kills him in place, so you feast on the souls that still didn't escape their bodies.

Perfect!
You let the power flow through you and spit it out in a form of a small fireball that quickly engulfs the eggs in a black flame
Their shapes shift, like puppets in a shadow theater, to finally take a form of three giant spiders, twice the size of the ones you saw before and it seems that the curse changed something in them - they are covered in very hard, black chitin armor.
You approach them carefully, but they seem calm and submissive, which isn't a big surprise, considering that they spent their entire life staring at you.
Skill earned: Curse-based hatching - You can hatch an egg using your curse, resulting in a pet with some changes in their general structure
You now have 3 spider pets!
It's getting late and you haven't seen Salazar in more than one day, considering that a battle is nearing you should visit him and let him know everything is good (On the other side there is a good chunk of chitin that you could make use of, lying in a nearby hallway...)
