This was a wonderful experience.

It’s a feeling the likes of which you couldn’t describe to anyone by words, it’s something you just need to… feel for yourself. Like losing your virginity or skydiving. Your first time at a strip club or finally learning how to ride a bike. It’s momentous and glorious all at once and pure and the afterglow of those sensations… this feeling though… it’s like all of them rolled into one.

Paused time slowly begins to move again, gradually accelerating as milliseconds pass and you float back onto the ground. Doctor Voodoo brings down his arm he was using to block the light from blinding him. He takes a few cautionary blinks just in case.

“Well,” he speaks, “that was unexpected. But welcomed. Tell me Mr. Burges, what did you learn just learn of this book?”

Just then, you hear the voice of Fernando speak, though it is greatly reduced in volume from the previous interview, like someone had shrunk him. The book seemingly floats from your pocket and up next to your shoulder.

“He has learned much! I am free once more to speak! Oh, Lord, what a relief! Another person! You there! Negro! Please! Tell me your name!”

“WOAH!” You exclaim, “Fernando! Not cool!”

“What? What did I say? I wanted to ask this Negro’s name, hos is that related to temperature?”

Doctor Voodoo looks upon the situation with a cocked eyebrow and a quizzical look, taking in the fact that a book just slurred at him in a chipmunk voice.

Doctor Voodoo’s quizzical look only deepens as he listens intently.

“Apparently he was part of the crew that went looking for the Fountain of Youth with Ponce de Leon way back in the 1400s,-“

“A thousand curses upon his lineage”

“-and was the previous owner of the book. When he died during their expedition, the book took him as it’s new occupant.=, as it’s been doing for, how long exactly Fernando?”

“Since the time of our Lord Jesus Christ so… a good few centuries at least.”

Voodoo takes a moment to assimilate this new information, eyes occasionally glancing from Fernando (the book really) to you.

“I see… that is a strange circumstance… then I assume Saint Andrew was at one point a resident within the book?”

“I can only assume so.”

You feel if he had a beard he’d be stroking it. For the moment though he simply… shrugs.

“While that is unfortunate, it is not that far from what I had been expecting. Honestly I had thought a Seraphim had chosen the book as a vessel.”

“It is humorous you should mention the Arch-Angels, as I believe there is a verse deep within calling forth Gabriel himself! Oh I hope we live long enough to see him!”

You admit the prospect of meeting an Abrahamic deity would be very interesting. Imagine what kind of archeological dig sites he could lead you to! Without having to sell your goddamn Rolex to any goddamn Cuban fishermen. Voodoo speaks once more.

“I see… than this book is indeed an object of immense power... In which case, Mr. Burges… I ask you something of great importance…”

“What would that be?”

“Would you like to meet Dr. Strange?”

“What?”

“There is a clause however. There are things need be done first and certain obligations need be met. But once those are done we can re-unite with Doctor Strange.”

While we're waiting for people to vote, Iet's talk potential costumes. I'm potential costumes. Not the same anon, but personally, I really liked the idea of using the crusader armor(link related) as a template for our costume. I think we would do well to really play of the knight angle. We could also go by the name

Since our powers seem to get stronger as we act more piously.

I'm not great with names and I'm not sure if these are taken in the marvel universe, but I personally like each of them. Could also be cool if we got a sword that is perfectly normal, but we make it a holy/magic weapon when in our hands, maybe light it with angelic flames or lighting/electricity.

This is a theme that we don't really get to see played all that much when it comes to superhero stuff, so I'm really getting into it.

just the overall theme/look. It shouldn't actually be medieval knight armor, that would be horrendously inefficient. But a more modern rendition would look pretty good, and I've always been the kind of guy that's preferred armored heroes over tight body suits.
