Wanted to try out something new and fun, so let's begin.
You were one of many souls swarming in the Abyss, with no memory of your past life, has been drifting in the void for years or even centuries - the time is tricky on Astral Planes, so there's no way of knowing for sure.
You eventually got used to it, living a simple life with close to no thoughts, cursed for eternal wandering, but one day something changed, you started thinking, felt something was coming...
Everything was just as normal, but for some reason, you were getting more and more excited with every second passing, and when you were excited so much you were gonna go crazy something pulled you hard from behind and a single image appeared in your mind
>What was the image?

Great Success
You look around, slowly proccessing the informations your brain has gathered, and see the room you're in.
You see that its a small cellar, the summoning circle taking up most of the space.
You hear some voices behind you, so you listen.
"Damn you and your stupid spells Damien! You were supposed to summon a devil to kill the priest, not a flying lamp!" The person who said it was visibly angry.
"Calm yourself Victor, I bet it has enough power to kill us both... "
You turn around, but the two men are certainly not amused.
"So what are we gonna do with this excuse of a demon?" The person who said it was Victor.
You look down on the floor, the unfit sigils having no power over you.
What will you do?
(Sorry for the late response, I have a fever and didn't want to vomit on my laptop)

slight success
The man pose too much threat, so you fly away.
You leave the circle, shocking your summoners and avoiding the clumsy attacks they tried to hit you with.
Ability earned: Light as feather - You have a bonus to avoiding hits and flying speed, rolling a critical success for action related to move will render you untargetable and very fast.
Your DEX is beyond average.
You are behind them and head for the exit, but just as you near the door Damien says a magical word and 4 magically empowered strings that shoot from the doorframe tie you up.
The strings, thought weak had divine magic in them, making it very hard to free yourself.
"How are ya liking my trap? Not so bad, isn't it? " Damien grabbed the ends of all strings and shaked you.
"And now ya'll do what I say"

Failure
Despite the bad situation you are in you fight back.
The power is building up within you, you can feel it - dark and cold, but oh so pleasant.
You are almost done preparing the spell, but Damien suddenly pulls the string harder, cutting your skin and making you stutter while saying the power word, the results being pretty obvious.
You took 4 dmg from Damien's pull.
Hp left: 11/15
The curse you casted upon your summoner lost most of its power milimeters from his face, only causing his beard to grow a bit
You earned ability: Curse of aging - the user curses an item or a foe to age very fast.
Your wisdom is beyond average
"Tried to kill me? I'd squash you like a bug right now, but summoning demons is very expensive, soooo... You know, cooperate or die" he said as golden light danced in his hand.
What will you do?

Probably gonna go to sleep now, I'm feeling worse than before, so see you tomorrow!

almost success.
You aren't the kinda demon that would let anybody have control over him, so you fight back even when threatened with death.
You gather the cold power once again, let it fill your body and power up the words you say, and this time Damien wasn't fast enough to stop you.
You spit out a black fireball with gray smoke escaping it - a curse at it's full power.
Damien tries to dodge it, and so he does, but this time the luck is on your side because it hit the strings, making them fall apart because of their age.
Damien is shocked and you use that moment of shock to escape their cellar. When you get out you see a typical peasants home, except for the fact that there is salt under every entrance - you are trapped!

Critical success!
You look around and quickly see a hole in the wall made by some vermin.
The hole is just the right size for you to fit in, so you fly outside.
You are in a small village, with forest on your right side and swamp on your left side, the church being the biggest building you can see.
Damien and Victor ran out of the house, but can't find you - you can freely go anywhere you want.
What will you do?
>>
>>1645075
Fly to the church and write this on the door or wall:"Damien wants to kill you"
>>
>>1645088
You pick up a sharp stone and carve an inscription on the church's door saying "Damien is planning to kill you".
You go unnoticed and have a plenty of time until the dawn.
What will you do now?

Fly to Damien's house, take the longer route to the back of the house. Let's see if they left or not

You fly back to the house where you were summoned, wanting to see if they are there.
You go through the hole made by vermin and see that the house is empty.
You fly around it and find a few books that might be useful to you.
Will you:

Luck/10
CRITICAL SUCCESS!
You fly out of the door and travel through the village with much ease, not being noticed by anyone, and head for the forest.
As you fly through the forest you can feel a weak pulse of power in the book, so you sit on a nearby tree and start reading.
The book speaks of many things that are very hard for you to comprehend, as the magic of humans is completely different than the magic of demons, the human magic using the powers from the outer astral planes while your magic is generated inside you, but you manage to learn a simple spell.
You earned ability: Telepathy - you can move small objects from medium distances using your mind.
Your Intelligence is beyond average.
The power running through the book is stronger now, and you feel that you haven't fully used its potential, but you are tired of learning this strange foreign magic
What will you do?

this
>>
>>1645954
>>1645349
You hold the book in your hands and go to sleep.
In your dream, you are in the Abyss, but it isn't the same, something has changed - the void is filled with low buzzing, and you could feel a weird power, certainly not that of a wandering soul.
You approach one of the souls floating nearby and try to grab it to see if it reacts.
You touch the flickering flame that was once a person, but it doesn't seem to bother, the same thing happening with every soul you try to make contact with.
You are infuriated and try to attack one of the souls, but the results are certainly not the ones you'd expect them to be...
When you swing your arm at the soul its light is absorbed by your fingers, then you are filled with an extreme feeling of satisfaction, you feel something grow inside you.
You want to hunt for other souls, but the sound of church bells wakes you up and you see that the sun has already risen, but also that the entire village has gathered under the church.
You look at the book, the magic within it pulsing fast like it was lusting for something...
What will you do?
>>1645365
Yeah, gonna swap it in the character sheet (https://pastebin.com/haYHFaRF)

Sorry for the late reply guys, a good friend of mine came over and I just couldn't write
>>
>>1645988
Read the book for more magic
>>
>>1646024
You decide to ignore the events in the village and learn some more magic.
You open the book and, to your surprise, the contents of it are completely different than before!
You are freaked out, but assume that it's due to magical nature of the book, so you delve into the lecture.
This time there's fewer spells and more theory, the contents are too complicated to read the whole thing before the dark.
You will read the chapter:
[1] Inner powers of the mind
[2] Chaos magic and curses
[3] The powers of Astral Dominions
>>
>>1646044
[1] Inner powers of the mind
>>
>>1646058
You decide that reading about the mind powers would be the most beneficial for you, so you start reading.
The chapter speaks of three main aspects of the Mind: Consciousness, Subconsciousness, and Superconsciousness.
The first part is the one responsible for your decisions, the second for your instincts and the last one is the one that is responsible for your magic energy - and is also the one you will be trying to develop.
While it remains asleep most of the time it might go awake under certain circumstances like casting a spell or in close proximity to certain beings, but for the most time, a good sigil will work and, lucky for you, one of those is included in the chapter.
>Roll a d20 to see if the sigil works

Great success!
You reach for the sigil, and as soon as your fingers reach its surface it explodes with bright light, blinding you for a moment.
When you regain your sight you see that the book is now sealed shut, you can't possibly open it now, but it doesn't matter because you got what you wanted - when you look at your reflection in the books lock you see that the sigil is burned into your eyes.
You smile as you feel that the power inside you has grown, circling through your body, but you don't have much time to think about it as you hear loud chanting coming from the village.
What will you do?
>>
>>1646127
Listen to It. That are they chanting exactly ?
>>
>>1646097

So could we end up becoming an absolute nightmare of a demon at some point I'm guessing? If so, bueno

>>1646127

Anyways. Listen and figure out what the chanting is
>>
>>1646146
>>1646141
You want to listen to the chants and understand their meaning, so you fly closer to the village to hear them better.
When you are around the edge of the village you understand that you will never understand them because they are completely devoid of sense - they sound more like a madman's mumbling than human speech...
You look around to see what's happening and see an interesting scene, the Damien was tied to a pole in with chanting villagers surrounding him, and standing before him was the priest!
He was clothed in gold, his face covered by a mask, in his hands a magically imbued staff, and a recitation on his lips.
While you didn't understand a word of what was being said you knew what was happening - the priest was making a sacrifice to something.
What will you do?
>>
>>1646166
Observe
>>
>>1646166

Watch, and smile at Damien
>>
>>1646173
>>1646184
You sit back and observe what happens, waiting for the priest to finish his job.
As you fell that the ritual is about to change you fly closer but only as close as it's required for Damien to see you, and as he notices it you send him the most shit-eating grin you can pull off.
"YOU DAMN BAST-"
Damien wasn't given a chance to finish his sentence as the priest said the last word of his formula and his magic began to work.
What happened now was something you have never seen - the sky darkened as if it was night, the earth started shaking, the Priest's clothes started glowing and a giant half transparent hand came out of the ground, grabbed Damien's soul and pulled it underground.
While it was impressive you didn't lose your head, you flew away to a safe spot behind the nearest house and thought on further strategy
What will you do?
>>
>>1646202
Go see if you can loot the dead guy's house while everyone is occupied with the ritual
>>
>>1646202
Fly to his house and if there isn't anyone there go inside.
>>
>>1646208
>>1646210
You want to make use of the fact that everyone gathered in one place and fly to Damien's house, check if there's anyone inside it, and when you think it's empty you enter.
Nothing changed there, the only outstanding thin is that the salt under the door was refilled, so you go searching for things that might be useful.
You found some gold and a talisman of sorts, but nothing more - it was the time to check the cellar.
You fly inside and see the books lined up nicely on the shelves, the summoning circle gone now.
As you fly deeper into the cellar the door behinds you slams shut and a single lamp lights up, it seems you are in a trap because you see Victor sitting in a chair in front of you
"So you came to rob his house... Tell me, do demons really only have that much sense of honor? But after all I guess you can't expect a magical candle to be too smart."
What will you do?
>>
>>1646229
>Honour ? "Laugh" "abruptly stop laughing" You lecture me ? From my perspective you tried to kill an innocent priest. I saved him. I am the good guy here and you DARE to play the victim, do you have even a LITTLE bit of self awareness.
>>
>>1646229

>"You're telling me about honor? I'm a demon you cunt, what do you expect me to be? A paladin of righteous fuckery? Not like you have any honor either, and lecture me about how I'm stupid? I escaped from you and your now dead lover. Tell me how that is."
>>
>>1646254

No, we don't say we're the good guy goddamn it. We're a demon, we act like it. Get your shit together and let's plan on finding exciting ways to cause misery and torment.

"Honour? Are you trying to lecture me? From my perspective, you tried to kill an innocent priest. I saved him. I am the good guy here and you DARE to play the victim, do you have even a LITTLE bit of self-awareness?"
The man started shaking with anger, but his voice remained calm.
"An innocent priest? Do you know what you're speaking of, you filthy creature? This man is a monster that has no right to walk on this planet, not only he brought his bloodlusty God to our land, he also killed most of the people that lived there. If you consider someone like this innocent then you too have no right to live there..." Victor said as his hands started glowing with golden light.
"I might not be as good as Damien was, but I do know something about this whole magic

Yay It's not dead !
>time to learn about sigils
>>
>>1649966
You open the book about sigils and start reading.
Learning about sigils comes really easy for you, as they are essentially a type of alphabet - each symbol has its own meaning that never changes- and learning alphabets is usually very easy for wisps.
The book is rather thin, so you read it in no time, but it really was a beginners guide, there was no information on how to actually make use of sigils!
You are disappointed, and then you see the name of its author on the last page - Alvadar Ozexdor, The sigil master of the city of Karim.
It provides you some information on who might help you out, but people usually don't like demons( on the other side sigils are most commonly used for summoning them).
You acknowledged the Sigil Alphabet!
You think about what should you do when a group of deer gallops near you, and following them is a hunting crew coming from the heart of the forest!

Great succes!
You hide between the leaves, your form concealed so well that not a single person sees you, nor do the dogs seem to bother.
You grab the heavier book and lift the second one with your telepathy, then you fly deeper into the forest.
You fly for a good few minutes using the same track as hunters did, and finally, find yourself standing on a crossroad.
>Will you go right or left?
>>
>>1650400
Left
>>
>>1650402
You decide that you will go left, considering how there are hoove prints on that road.
You go for some time, but the road is pretty long and you are exhausted when you see a house not so far away.
>Will you:
>Rest there?
>Go inside the house?
>Rest in the forest?
>>
>>1650412
Examine your surroundings then rest in the forest.
>>
>>1650417
You examine your surroundings.
You are hovering over a wide road, it's probably used a lot, on your right side is what appears to be a small farm ending with the house, on your left is a glade, and behind the glade is a forest for which you head.
You sit down on the branch for a moment, wanting to rest, and some time passes.
As you think you are ready to go further down the road you hear a weird noise, like a mix of ringing bells and buzzing insects, then you see small lights flying everywhere - There are Wisps in this forest!

Great success!
You are scared by their presence, so you magically throw rocks at them.
The rocks are flying everywhere, hitting each one of them, but since they are literally ghosts you only hurt some nearby trees and a squirrel.
The wisps don't seem to care, they are swarming around you in a friendly manner.

The wisps fly away slowly, showing you a road they want you to walk.

Tell them to give us some time. While we do this: Screw this ! With our genius intelligence and deep as abyss wisdom, we can figure out how to use sigils ourselves ! (write the word for light in sigil alphabet on the branch and try putting some magical power into It.)

P.S. How was the party OP

You signal that the wisps should wait, and so they do, gently hovering over the path.
You turn to the branch and think that since you have nothing better to do, you could practice using sigils.
The branch is wide and relatively straight - perfect for writing sigils, so after few quick moves of a sharp rock an inscription appears.
It means light, for that was your first thought in this new life, so you thought it'd be aproporiate to make it your first sigil. Then there's the charging - a power builds up inside you, but this time it's different, full of life and joy, it reminds you of sunlight, and looks like it too - a ray of light so warm it almost hurts.
The sigil catched the ray, but didn't manage to hold its power - it exploded, and so did the branch. The wisps flew away, but it didn't seem like they were escaping the explosion - they were hiding in holes at the forest edge, as if scared of something that has yet to come...

Thanks for asking about the party! It went great, I danced all night, meet some awesome people, laughed at drunkards and generally had loads of fun, how was your day?

Also sorry for barelly posting today, but my Dad decided that we will "strenghten bounds" so no pc for one day (writing this on a phone in my toilet :\)

My day ? Oh nothing out of ordinary the people we let camp in our land left and I helped my mom change grandmother's diapers.

But enough of that WE HAVE A FREAKIN LASER NAO.

>>
>>1653889
Don't beat yourself up for It. Miscommunication can be a bitch. For example I assumed you were making fun of me, because I assumed I got laser ray spell from sigil experimentation.

But anyway let's hide with wisps.

Almost success!
You decide it's better to play safe, so you follow the wisps and hide in a hole.
At first, nothing seems to happen, but it changes soon, as you can hear light cracking that grows in power over time.
When it reaches deafening levels of loudness a nearby tree moves! You look around and realise it wasn't only one tree, almost half of the forest is alive and looking for someone... (tip: it's you)
Your hiding place seemed to be safe, treants walked near it but didn't check the inside, but suddenly one of them grabbed you with his hand, his speed much higher than you'd expect from such a giant creature. It looks at you, not friendly nor agressive, just curious.
What do you do?

Also regarding the laser spell: you don't have it, you were just charging the sigil.

Success!
"What do you want from me?" You say, your voice almost calm considering that a treant was holding you.
The giant face before you put on a confused expression, as if you asked about something obvious, then the treant pointed at his friend's arm that was damaged by your spell.
"Listen, I'm sorry and all that, but I don't know how to heal him, Im a demon, and not a damn druid"
Most people wouldn't be pleased if that was your apologize for blowing off their arm, but in this case it seemed like it was just the right answer - when your wooden "friends" heard the word druid they became excited and headed off to the small house near the road, effectively taking you there as they still didn't release you. When you reach the houses door, the talless treant knocks on it and - because of his great power - breaks it out of its hinges, the noise surelly alarming the house's owner.
A quick walk can be heard, and in less than a minute a person walks out of the door. He's tall and old, his gray hair bound into a long ponytail. His clothing wasn't too extraordinary, he was in a brown robe and had a cane in his hand, but there was some weird power emanating from him.
You wanted to say something, but he was quicker.
"You did it third time this month, this is getting annoying, when will you learn to knock LIGHTLY!?" he took a short pause and looked at you "But I see you made a new friend, who is he?"
>Your reply?

"Someone who can't differentiate a tree from a treant apparently" You said and waited for druid's reaction.
"I see you, so what did you do? Wanted to cut them down for firewood, hanged a swing on one of them or what?"
"Blowed one of their hands off" you said it straightforward, assuming it will be the best way to do so.
"And you come to me ith that? Oh please, it will regrow in a couple of days without my help, I'm not gonna waste my time on that!"The druid was irritated. "And now go away, I've got stuff to do."
