Accepting a 5th player interested in playing the German Empire in space

The war was a tragedy. The war should have never happened. The war was inevitable. It's been four years since the Citadel Corporations fought the Monarchists, and everyone lost. There is no central authority, only a thousand factions vying for power. Choose your side, manage your resources, and claim your place in the vacuum of power and space.

Turn 3

We are now introducing Intelligence rolls every turn, as well as Black Accounts. Intelligence rolls are 1d10. Some factions have better intelligence gathering tools then others. Black Accounts represent Ingots earned in back-channels, and are unknown to the other players.

All players earn 20 Ingots, plus any resource additions or Trade Deals

A Matter of Succession
>The Natch-Legion have successfully implanted themselves on planet Vargo in the Refuge 2 System. They report that Splinter fleet Trident contains 2 frigates and a cruiser, as well as numerous ground forces. The Throne is still operational, and if we can get the princess’s gene seed safely to the planet the Willhiem line will be born anew. What shall we do?

Strange Anomaly
>Doktor Cronenburg has discovered a strange prism on Tridada 3. Within it is some sort of gestating organism. The Doktor is incredibly excited to begin studying the creature. The Housecarl commander voices his concern over the presence of Battle Savants on the planet.

Keep Your Friends Close
>Word has reached Governor Lucien of the Metka System that you have the gene seed of the princess. He has invited to you dine in his Governor’s Palace on Metka 1, and to discuss the future of the Willhiem Empire.

A Debt Long Due
>It's been 10 years since the Great War, and now the money borrowed by all factions is due to the Kireth Finance Confederacy.

A new government has founded

>Equalist Republic of Tang

>As the Equalist marched on the capital Chang'an, the Shogunate Military council surrendered to the rebels in exchange for positions in the new Cabinet.
>Units Lost: The Immortals unit and Samurai unit, as well as a division of Divine Hammer armor units, have barricaded themselves in the Chang'an Blue Eastern Military Base
>Units Gained: 6 Equalist Militia units, as well as two Raptor Mech divisions

And what of the Heros
>"I should Kill you know," Heavenly Crab King says. He stares through his greenish helm at the Shogunate military council before him. "You dare to even suggest that I aid in handing over the princess to the Equalists? I helped put her family on the throne, I will not betray her.
>"It is the only way!" The councilmembers exclaim. "This is the path to a greater Tang people!"
>The Heavenly Crab King Hefts his blade. "They will kill her! I will not watch as you weak monkeys hand over the Divine Empress on her day of coronation!"
>The council members are fearful, taking a step back. All, but Commander Ju Wan. He strokes his beard thoughtfully.
>"Perhaps there is a solution," Ju Wan says. "I myself shudder at the thought of handing over the prince-, ahem, Empress to the Equalists. And who says we have to? Give them an alter-self, we'll hide away the real princess in a mountain temple for the rest of her life. But in return," The Commander stares at the Heavenly Crab King. "You must aid the new Republic,"
>"No," The Crab King says. "You will not put her in a temple. Give her to me, and I will keep her on my fortress world. She will be safe there,"
>"And you will swear allegiance to the new republic?"
>The warrior is silent. The moment stretches on, threatening to grow worrisome. "By my word," The Crab King says. "I will serve the new government, in exchange for the princess given to me,"
>"It's a deal," The commander says, clapping once. "And we'll give an alter-self to those equalists dogs clamoring around our city."

>What's the deal with the Kireth Fiance Confederacy?

>The Great War lasted 10 years and resulted in billions of causalities as well trillions in asset damage. As well as physical damage, the war quickly turned into the single most costly conflict in quadrant history.
>Enter the Kireth Finance Confederacy, a group of over one-hundred thousand financial institutions based out of the Orion Sector. Over the ten year Great War, the KFC loaned over Forty trillion dollars to the Willhiem Empire, the Tang Shogunate, the Citadel Corporations, and the newly created Crimson Union. The loans were to be paid back ten years after the cessation of hostilities.

To any outsider the debts are clearly unpayable. The KFC took advantage of a catastrophic war and now demand their due. Perhaps deals can be worked out, or the perhaps the KFC can be told to go fuck themselves. There would be consequences of course, but it's better then handing over all your assests

(The Citadel Corporations took care of their debt using a clause in a Buffer Space Treaty. They owe nothing, but three of their vassal systems are directly controlled by the KFC)

The Red Yell: Unofficial Worker´s Screamsheet
>The Crimson Union celebrates the birth of the Equalist Republic of the Tang
“This happy development of the situation in the Tang uprising was the only logical route to take after the barbaric bombardments of civilian houses by the defunct Shogunate. The people of the Tang have shown to the greedy slavers that plague this world of ours that the will of the worker is not a thing to ignore and that the masses of pariahs will not remain silent while their rights are stomped on. We hope nothing but friendship and cooperation from our brethren and I definitely look forward to establish a permanent embassy in the capital”

>Try to hold a Peace Summit to try to reunite the tribes, with the Balloon Brothers as hosts. As a sign of goodwill, send the frigate to the other side of the planet during the summit

Not only did the disrespect me by trying to condemn me publicly at a summit but now they have the audacity to deny me. This is more than business this is a personal attack and I'll treat it as one. Send my out my squadron of phantasm head hunting. Time for some well placed detonations at their HQ.

In other news:
the research station is to be cleared out. We need to keep all assets we currently have already. Tell the investigation team to seal themselves in the command room and get the security team to sweep and clear the rest of the station in a group. No one splits from the main group and they will be ordered to burn any contaminated material. Investigation team is to open doors and keep an eye on the security team as well as download any and all information that lead up to the current date. PART I- On A Matter of Succession.

It may be too soon to act. We will keep our presence in Vargo low-profile and silently reinforce it with 2 Housecarl units.

I, General of the Splinter Fleet Longinus, HEREBY ORDER the following course of action respect to these situations.

PART I- On A Matter of Succession.

>At last the time to act has come. With the newfound support of the Governor, our newly researched orbital bombardment techniques and our based troops at Vargo; we can finally challenge Admiral Vargo.

>The strike force we shall send will be composed of 1 Capital Ship, 4 Frigates, 2 Cruisers, 2 Moon Bomber squadrons and 1 Luftiger squadron. They will be accompanied by 6 Housecarl units, 2 Stormtroops, 1 Saint, 1 Nacht-legion and 1 Fickldich-Panzer. The Land Army shall be headed by Saint Sebastian.

>However, our forces will not attack immediatly. We shall use our overwhelming force to make Admiral Leon's forces capitulate and possibly even join our side. We will only choose to attack if they refuse to join our forces in our glorious quest to restore the House.

PART II- On the End Justifying the Means

>Our resources are very limited in our current situation. Even though, this anomaly may be of much interest to the House, we must prioritize. Doktor Cronenburg must accept the material constraints in his research.

PART III- On An Open Invitation

>The Red Menace poses a threat to the Wilhelm restoration. Their exalted nature and deluded policies are a threat to the entire galaxy. However, we can't also deny the direct danger that the KFC poses to the House is far greater. We accept the invitation, yet let none think this is an official endorsment for the Crimson Union.

APPENDIX- Research and Development

>With our increase in military power, it is only logical that our political power must increase too. We shall establish a propaganda network that spans the entirety of Wilheim space and research the most efficient method to rally the Sons of the Baron to our cause.

>We must also begin expanding our military. The House will try to acquire Kriegkannonen in the course of this season.

An Open Letter
The Crimson Union has sent out an call to all equalists for a summit. The call has also been extended to the powers of the Bailey's Qaudrant and the KFC. The Union President has outlined the rules below.

2- Every Equalist has the right to make a speech and address the current speaker. Only in exceptional occasions will non-equalist allowed to make a speech. Yes, bribing the government is a good way to gain the right, but if the speech is considered insulting, prepare for the obvious consequences (gulag)

Sol Mova is willing then. Good.

This summit will be pertaining to the current events of the corporations and the newest transgressions of the Eastern Economic Bloc. The night will begin with a small meet and greet of all parties. Then the summit proper ending in a formal party, drinks and food will be provided. This will be my standard for summits along with the rules which were stated last thread.

I will begin the night with meeting each group personally along with ambassador Sera. Thanking each for coming and asking them if they are caught up with the news and other small talk. Then the summit proper will begin.

"I thank you fellow Chairmen for attending this rather sudden but very much so expected summit. I would like to first explain that yes, Tanaka Heavy Industries and JiLoWu Corporations will not be joining us tonight. Neither will The Lynden Family or the Consolidated Tresdon who declined the invitations. Many of you know now that the Eastern Economic Bloc wishes to scale their petty squabbles with me further. I ask you all to help me.. clear up this matter rather quickly before they decide to clear it with either of us here."

"They have slighted my name. They have stolen from me. Attacked me. And if they are not stopped continue onto others like you who have came here. We must stop them from continuing to destroy this conglomerate. More importantly I might add is that the assets which they own currently will be partitioned up with all willing to help me. I know it may be wrong to count my chickens before they hatch but standing here seeing all who have came I am more than confident that with our combined forces we can fix this small matter. And after? I hope that we will continue this alliance.. like old times. I know we have our differences but tonight we stop and join arms."

"So, chairmen, who here is with me? Who here will try and defend against a growing threat and to perhaps earn something greater? Stand with me brothers and sisters."

After which the party begins.

>The mega structure is Gate Kwai, the main gate leading to the Orion Belt Sector, and the Kireth financial institutions.

The Gate is projecting a space bend, which is distorting time and space around the spec ops team. "The Third International is something more that any mere International Summit. It is the culmination of decades of Equalist effort in order to create a new form of goverment that would work for and by the people´s will. Therefore, it is only logical that the people should have the chance to attend and intervene in all the forums and meetings, whether spontaneous or scheduled, that will happen during the event. All non-essential workers will have an exceptional holiday to allow themselves to attend and take advantage of the opportunity it supposes. This will allow the people of the Union and beyond to discuss the future of Equalism and find its flaws and how to mend them."

>The Spec Ops teams uses jet-sails to come to a gentle stop, floating in the void of space. They watch as the Freight Cruiser impacts against the gate.
>There is no noise in space, only light and explosions of color. The gate caves in on itself, and nearby installations start to shake. The fire disappears, being sucked into the center. Eventually they reach a large central command space, adorned in luxuries and fountains. Sin is bid to wait among a grove of trees. He does, settling himself on the cool stones that make up the walkways.
>He closes his eyes, humming a tune to himself. They open again when Governor Wuxan Li appears from around an orange tree.
>"Ahh, a monk," The governor says. "The new leaders of the Tang send to me a monk." The governor now stands before Sin, sizing him up and down as the monk sits silently.
>"Well?" The governor says. "What sect of Taoism are you? Or perhaps you are one of the Buddhist, or something new? Tell me what order has whored itself out to the Equalists,"
>Instead of answering, Sin motions at a servant standing behind Wuxan. The servant holds a wrapped guzheng. Sin turns slightly, bringing out from behind him his own guzheng.
>The governor cocks an eyebrow. "You wish...to duel?" A slow smile spreads across his face. "Yes.....yes, I have not dueled guzheng since I was a young man. Servant!" The governor claps. The servant hurries to bring over the governor's instrument. The governor unwraps it slowly, then plucks delicately at the strings.

>Splinter Fleet Longitus orbits Vargo, while soldiers swarm through the streets of the capital. They're following a procession of Saints and Stormtroopen, and the Admiral of Longitus, as they march into a Willhiem Signal Tower. Long defunct, it is in the thick of a series of fortresses.
>Word has spread of the Doktor's killing of Admiral Leon. He rides next to St. Ilsa in a state-combat hover-car behind the Admiral's car.
>"What is the matter young one," Doktor Cronenburg says, leaning over to St. Ilsa. She shoulders him away, staring off into the distance. "You still mourn your lover," The doktor says, shrugging. "I understand that. But you must understand what is happening. How long have you been alive?"
>Saint Ilsa looks at him, as if seeing him for the first time. "What does that matter?"
>"How old?"
>"Twenty."
>Doktor Cronenburg nodded. "You see young one, not many people know this, but I am actually quite old. I was here before the Willhiems, and I can say without hesitation that the Baron's family was the best thing to happen to this god-forsaken sector. The Willhiem dream is a glorious one, and it is total dominion through strength. And through dominion, peace. That is noble, is it not?"
>St. Ilsa narrows her eyes at the doktor. "Forgive me if I can not summon the sentiment,'
>"Again, I understand. But you must put on a brave face, for today you will see the rebirth of that dream." Doktor Cronenburg settled back into his seat. "And I know many of us are eager for our enemies to pay dearly."

>Sin the Silent Monk arrives at the palace of the Governor of the Han System, Wuxan Li. It is a massive building, towering into the atmosphere, and likely drilling far past the inner mantel below.
>Inside the Palace, the halls stretch on, and Sin is lead by a small cadre of officials in robes and headdresses.

I, Chancellor of the Second Wilheim Empire, HEREBY COMMAND to act on the following issues,

PART I- On Sounding the Call
>Preposterous! How dare these lowly peasants rebel against our glorious empire! We must deal with this immediatly to show the true might of the Empire!
>With our newfound technologies, we shall begin a hybrid offensive on these rogue systems. First, we shall engage in a strong propaganda campaign on these systems, undermining the authority of these so-called "governments" and defend out claims.

>We will also prepare an expeditionary fleet. Its composition will be 6 frigates, 1 Capital Ship, 2 Cruisers, 2 Moon Bombers and 3 Luftiger fighters. The land forces, commanded by St. Ilya will be composed of 6 Housecarl units, 4 Stormtroops, 1 Saint units, 1 Nacht-legion, 1 Ficklidich-panzer and 1 Kriegkannon.

>Our strategy will be to first try to get the rebels to surrender once we enter their system by promising amnesty for their leaders. In case they refuse, we will achieve orbital superiority and engage in an orbital bombardment campaign until most military infraestructure is neutralised. Then we shall send the land forces to overwhelm the rebels.

PART II- On the Equalist Summit
>We shall file an angrily worded letter to the KFC detailing the unfairness of their debt, which is unpayable in any way even by the greatest economy of the region. We shall also emphatise the inviolability of the sovereignty of the Wilheimian Empire.

APPENDIX I- A Personal Address to Doktor Cronenburg

>My good doktor, the Empire truly owes your existance to your valiant intervention. For your services, the Empire will award you with the Archduchy of Vargo, a Titanium Cross. Also, you shall recieve unlimited funding in your investigation of the anomaly.

APPENDIX II- Research and Development
>We shall begin researching Cyber Warfare techniques, they will surely be useful in the inmmediate future.

>Equalist summit

-Comrades, I must recognize that I am quite happy that you were able to spare some time to come here to attend to this “little” meeting. It is a truly unexpected reunion we have here, especially if we take into account how late you tend to be when push comes to shove. Since the end of the Great War, none of you have sent representatives, taxes or anything at all, except vague promises of allegiance with the Equalist government of the Crimson Union. Well, the time to pull punches is over.

Where were you when we supplied weapons for the Tang rebels?

Where were you when those pigs of the KFC bared their fangs at us?

Where were you when religious fanatics tried to conquer one of our planets?

The waves of history are rocking the Equalist movement. Either help us to sail and reach new lands or get thrown overboard. It´s your choice . But you have to choose here and NOW.

>Interestellar summit

-Delegates of the diverse factions across the Stars. It is with pride that I announce the opening of this Third Interestellar, that for the first time in history will also host non-Equalist representatives. This are very tense times for the Sector in general and the Crimson Union in particular. Mercenaries , bounty hunters and possibly even worse recklessly tearing through space. Debts piling one over another and religious and dogmatic fervor rebelling against the will of the people. In this bleak times I only can guarantee you one thing: the Crimson Union shall always be a guardian of the people´s rights and lasting peace. We do not like war, but we expect it and we are prepared for it. We are a proud and understanding sovereign nation. But when words fail it is the time for the dialectic of fists and guns. For the good of our people and yours, do not let words fail or the Great Mistake of ten years ago shall repeat itself. Thank you.

I will basically try to intimate the KFC and the Powun Church into behaving themselves and to stop being obnoxious

But, for caution:
