Last time on Xenomorph quest we turned Echo Hive into a bonafide Space Hulk, stole human tech and became mobile shortly before entering a new system and bitchslapping a much smaller station into submission via a flying station headbutt. Also Frigates are literal glass cannons. We released a facehuggers swarm and greatly bolstered our numbers and made our engines more eco-friendly and efficient. Dirty hippies.

Screeches of rage and excitement echo through the halls as your hive gathers for an assault. Claws click and clatter along the metal floors and walls that have yet to be coated in thick, wet black resin.

Your Goliath and Heavy Warriors barrel ahead into sealed doors, some still glowing from their welds in the center. The metal is bashed open under repeated strikes of their bulk. Humans scatter in fear, some firing as they run and others ducking into cover as your weapon equipped warriors fire into them. Needles, spines and shards of chitin fly through the air alongside bullets. Men fly back and lay in crumpled piles, bodies pierced a dozen times. Xenos squeal in rage as they are flecked by bullets, gouges torn from their hides.

Battle is joined.

Your Guardians rapidly form up, their Shredder cannons thumping heavily. Shards of razor sharp chitin whistle through the air in clouds as men and women scream and fall, clutching bloody stumps or coughing up blood from pierced lungs.

Quiet slings a cloud of needles over the shield wall, peppering a group of men who fall nearly simultaneously, lips and tongues swelling as they die. The cruel Xenomorph rushes off to find his next firing position.

Dutch shrugs off the terrified humans firepower, bullets glancing from his hard carapace as he slashes in rage with his claws. His heavy limbs break bone and allow the bladelike claws to rend limbs.

Your Needle Warriors and Spine warriors cluster behind the Guardians, firing through the gaps as they close in. Many a Human falls studded with spines or pierced a dozen times by the slender quills.

As the shield wall advances you leap over, followed by the rest of the drones and shadows. Pouring over the suppressed humans you lay about with fang and claw, blood arcing high as you whip from one foe to the next, ducking under fire and slashing wildly, spilling entrails and gore in tides of crimson.

Your Swarm moves forth, swarming over the dead and wounded humans after those that flee. The Goliath leads the charge, a pair of needle warriors clinging to its sides and firing into the humans while chattering gleefully.

A crewman falls in front of the Goliath, his terrified scream cut short under a massive clawed foot as the beast crushes him to jelly. Your Heavy warriors charge behind, their crushing blows flattening men against the walls and smashing bone to dust.

The humans that do manage to flee your retribution are few in number, several crowding into escape pods and fleeing the station entirely.

The heavy bulkhead doors seal shut ahead of you. The remaining humans opting to leave their wounded to you.

The seam between the doors glows briefly as the humans attempt to weld it shut, spatters of molten metal dripping onto the floor as the metal is fused together. Perhaps if they had more time they could hope to keep you out.

They do not.

Your Goliath barrels into the doors like a juggernaut of hate, knocking them free from their mountings and crushing the humans working on them into a fine paste under tons of metal. The tide of chitin that moves in behind the Goliath swarms o Er any resistance, most of the humans simply staring in shock as they are pulled down and subdued by the rampaging xenomorphs. Every crack and crevice of Beta station is inspected, ever hiding spot scoured until the crew is secured in resin cocoons in the rapidly expanding new addition to Echo hive.

All across Echo hive and its new addition Builders scurry and toil, drones following diligently. They vomit forth the nodes of pulsating tissue, securing them to the walls and floors in corners. As they grow and spread their living resin across the stations the metal underneath begins to bubble and corrode away, the chitin surrounding it taking on a metallic sheen. The nodes spread as the metal beneath is eaten away, bubbles of the black chitin spreading like slow oil across the exterior of the hull.

The floors and walls within Beta and Echo begin falling away, the resin forming large chambers and rounded corridors within. No longer a twisting maze of human made hallways. A hive of swirling passages and open, dark chambers underneath a thick, metal enfused shell.

Echo Hive now is a shiny black conglomerate in space, protrusions of resin hiding the weapon emplacements and sheltering the engine. The remainder of Beta station bulges like a tumor from the lower portion of the hull, the metallic chitin spreading slowly across the outside.
Truly the hive is now alive in the vacuum of space.

Researchable tech is pretty much anything in reason. Biomechanical weapons, Upgrades, Armors, additions to the hive, really that's the "Xenomorph this this thing" option. Better engines, new ship based weapons, new Xenomorph types, new weapons, new Tech. Its a write in.

The braces are built into the walls, each room, passage and chamber supported. A thick layer of the structures are woven into the outer layer of the hive, bracing the shell against even the most cataclysmic of impacts

A xenomorph that can utilize the technology we have uncovered to get around in space, namely for boarding actions. Basically, the ability to endure the vacuum of space a bit better than most, and have some sort of miniaturized reactor/ engine system.

A Xenomorph adapted perfectly to survive and move in the airless void of space. Its carapace is layered with a particularly viscous "blood" that hardens in the flash of an eye to seal any gaps. Advanced air recycling organs line the inside of its body cavity, allowing it to function for days without air. Tubes of highly pressurized gases line its limbs, allowing to maneuver in 0g. Extremely sticky pads along its foreclaws and feet allow it to adhere to the hull of Echo hive or an enemy vessel easily.

The Ship has devolved into chaos in the meantime since your boarding crew made their violent entrance. Asphyxiated and boiled corpses fill the lower decks of the ship, the crews unable to repair their life support because of the silent killers that inhabit the very walls. Every man who ventures out is never seen again. The remaining crew have locked themselves into the main battery and hangar bay and are attempting to either escape or trigger some sort of last ditch explosion. It isn't good either way.

The humans that had sealed themselves into the hangar had behaved as though they were combating beasts. The bulkhead doors were barricaded with shipping containers and sheets of metal. Men and women move about, loading shuttles with supplies and watching the doors with their weapons never far from their hands.

They never expected the attack to come from beneath them.

The slats of the floor burst open, black carapaced Warriors emerging and dragging humans under the floor. Blood fountains through the gaps in the floor as the Warriors tear them to pieces.

Drones leap into groups of the humans, moving too quickly for the panicked crewmen to even draw a bead on them. The humans attempt to flee through the barricaded doors but the rampaging xenomorphs fall upon them like a tide of claws and hunger.

The main battery of a frigate is in essence, a giant armory for the various point defense cannons and minicannons that stud the hull. The massive shells for the main cannon line the walls, sitting like silent monoliths as the remaining humans move about in their purpose.

Charges are rigged along the high explosive shells, the cannons rigged to fire misloaded shells and rupture the hull. The humans intend to scuttle the ship and deny your hive their ship.

Their efforts are for naught.

With screeches of rage your boarding crew tears through the very walls, climbing along gunbelts and exploding from ventilation shafts. The few humans entrenched within the battery are surrounded, overwhelmed.

They fight valiantly, the lack of fear known only to men who know they are already dead. They fire into the Xenomorphs and attempt to set off the charges before they are cut down and ripped apart by merciless black claws.

Your Boarding crew report back to the queen. They have captured the ship. What is her will?

I just recently read this quest. It has me thinking up some new Aliens horror scenes.

A small crew of builders enjoy a much gentler journey than the sudden jarring explosion of movement the first boarding spikes experienced.

They clamber out of the spike as it pierces the hull of the frigate, the resin it is composed of rapidly being broken down as your Builders repurpose its mass to repair the hull and begin the process of Hiving the ship.

Modified thought: If we could make a single roll to convert the remaining frigates into minor hives that mirror our own structural/ engine upgrades, and some sort of boarding spike system...tl/dr: a complete mini hive: why? In each Frigate we put a few warriors, some drones, some eggs, and a juvenile queen as a sort of "hive starter kit" and send them on their way.

Eventually we get to butt heads with these other hives, and its up to the QM to determine how they evolved, what became of them, if they were successful, wiped out, or somehow enslaved by humans, etc.

Gives more story options.
