We are Sirena Le Doux and we seek revenge against our former master. So far, we've grown powerful enough to become the Witch Queen, but there is much more to learn. With our list of allies and teachers ever expanding, we won't stop until we've reached the top, because that's where our former master waits.

Having gone through the caverns of Bad Luck Mine and accidentally unleashed our ancient moon elf ancestor, we now find ourselves looking towards the future with uncertainty. We must now decide what to do next...

Of late, many issues have been wearing upon your mind. Your revenge. This moon elf ancestor of yours, who apparently wants to destroy the world. Being hunted by this 'Witch Hunter', whoever and wherever he may be. And then there are all of the other small details that sometimes fall by the wayside...

Currently, you are in Aran, dealing with some small matters relating to the cults and helping smoothe over the transition of the new goblins into the realm and its populace. The giant ant queen has been taken to a safe place, a future breeding laboratory overseen currently by your servitors, though it will require an expert in due time once she starts producing young.

Things are running smoothly. Your revenants are serving you well, though currently you don't have them doing anything exceptionally difficult or challenging. The important thing is that none of them have tried to betray you or contact the outside world yet, like the dark elf Alicia whom you drained of memory. She served as a good example to the others.

Tapping your fingers on your throne's arms, you consider what to do next. Your worldly holdings, namely the tower, and your investments in the local mine and brothel have paid you well. You currently have several other connections and threads to check up on in the tangled web that has become your life.

With a simple teleportation ritual to the rune inscribed within his basement, you proceed upstairs. "Francis!" you call out, announcing your presence.

You hear some rattling around and a few things falling over upstairs as he quickly comes down the stairs. He slicks his greasy hair back and gives you a seductive smile. "Sirena."

"What have you learned about Mordrax?"

"Straight to business, then," he sighs. "Not that I can complain, seeing as how your baby factory opens once he's dead."

"I'm aware of the current state of my loins, Francis," you reply, slightly annoyed. "Have you learned anything?"

"Yes, yes, of course." He sits down on one of his chairs near the fireplace and you do the same. "My old contacts at the academy in the capital have told me that Mordrax has become... reclusive of late. Even moreso. Ever since the revealed treachery, I imagine."

"You mean his false claim that it was me!" you correct him.

"You know what I meant. Anyway, were I to speculate, a lot of his plans were ruined when you -- and that is to say HE -- was found out. I also imagine that the royals are trying to be more careful with whom they trust. The problem being, of course, that they already trust Mordrax. He's likely rebuilding his power base and setting things in motion for whenever he springs his plan -- whatever that may be." He clears his throat. "Speaking of which... what WAS your plan to take over the country, anyway?"

"We were going to rule the kingdom," you explain to him. "Imprison the royal family, or enslave them through whatever means were most convenient to us, and take control of the military and economy in one fell swoop."

"A bold plan. One that would need a lot of resources, and Mordrax in his reclusion has been hording a great many things of late. Spell components, exotic and mundane, are being delivered to his tower."

"I was already aware of that."

"Ah, but I know something else: Mordrax is searching for a new apprentice. And apparently, the grounds for selection is whomever hunts you down and brings you back to the capital first."

Your eyes narrow. "Please. As if any pathetic mage fresh out of the academy could harm me. All he's doing is sending them to their doom."

Francis puts his hands together and suddenly his face becomes very serious. "Maybe that's what he wants."

>I doubt that.
>What is that supposed to mean?

You raise an empty hand and shake your head. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"Let's consider something. What if this, all of this," he says, pointing at you, "is part of his plan?"

"You mean he meant for all of this to happen? Spurning me, me becoming Witch Queen, wanting revenge on him?"

"It's a circle. He sends you out, but gives you the motivation to come back. You become stronger, stronger than you've ever been -- and when you return, you're in the prime position to make his plans come true."

"What kind of a fool would make someone who wants to kill him the lynchpin of his plan?"

"Someone very patient, I'd imagine," Francis says, thinking as he scratches his scruffy chin. "Mordrax is hoarding resources for something, but he's been reclusive. We don't know much about what he's doing, other than he isn't making himself very public and is keeping quiet. What is he waiting for? Maybe it's you. Maybe he's afraid of you, maybe he WANTS you to come after him."

>You think he still wants me as an ally?

"You think he still wants me as an ally?"

"Well, I can't ask him directly. I'm only speculating. If not an ally, then an asset."

"A tool, you mean. A pawn."

He shrugs. "Sure, whatever."

"It doesn't truly matter. I'm still going to kill him, no matter what he intends. And when I stand over his corpse, his blood on my hands, I'll allow him a few final moments to choke out his last words before I drown him in his own blood."

Francis' brows tick upwards. "Good to know."

"Speak with your contacts and learn exactly what is being delivered to his wretched tower. I want a list. Perhaps we can deduce what exactly he is planning."

"It'll be difficult, but I'll get on it." He scratches his chin again and stands up. "Anything else you'd like, your malevolence?"

You pause upon hearing the word 'malevolence' and your mind is drawn to your ancestor. "What do you know of the moon elves?"

"Moon... elves? Uh..." He puts a hand in his mop of hair and scratches his head. "They're all extinct, I think. Ten thousand years? All the moon elves are what the many modern races of elf are descended from. Night elves are the closest thing, what with their lunar mages and such."

"There aren't any around?"

"No. Not that I know."

"What about their lore? Do you know anything about history ten thousand years back?"

"Can't say it's my strong suit, but I do know that men, that is humans, didn't have any magic before the elves came down from the moon and they made war. After the war, when humans won, we learned magic from them. I'm fuzzy on the rest of the details."

"Humans won against them without magic?" you ask skeptically.

"Like I said, fuzzy."

You shrug. "Francis, I want to expand my influence to nearby towns. I already have several connections in Bridge Town, including the ear and favor of its mayor. It's high time I expanded."

Francis thinks for a moment. "Well, you could go in any direction you like, really. You could start making your way south, towards the capital. Going north you've got the high elves. Southwest you've got the lake men, straight west is the wild elves, and to the southeast you've got dwarves. Northeast is the gnomes, but they're pretty far away. Those are the immediate communities, unless I'm missing something small."

You sit back and contemplate this information. You know that you currently have the river pirates and their new leader, Bruut, raiding the fishing villages and river towns to the southwest. He carries your mark, and several times now you've felt him become lightly wounded, likely from battle, but nothing too severe.

Where do you want to expand towards?

>South, towards the Capital
>Southwest, Lake Men
>West, Wild Elves
>North, High Elves
>Northeast, Gnomes
>Southeast, Dwarves

Your rolls have generated:

>Youngwater: Population roughly 2600, primarily high elf, some human and half-elf, with a minority of night elves. The town is dominated by several tall towers lining a strong wall, and its buildings are well-constructed from stone. It is protected by an order of knights known as the Golden Shields and a series of arcane wards along its walls. It sits within a valley, surrounded by waterfalls and forests. It is ruled by a noble sorceress, the elf lady Elynia Fareagle (Lawful Good), who is backed by a sphinx named Dara. The Bratia College of Elemental Study is a common destination for academics and sages, and is home to several beings from other planes. The most prominent tavern is The Wench and Chalice, on Hydra's Lane. Its markets are ruled by a consortium of guildmasters, led by a male elf named Lesym, who serves the lady-sorceress. The town is aligned with the country and swears fealty to the High Elven lords and the Royal Family.

Pouring over a map of the path north, you muse to yourself, 'I have heard of this place before, and its college of elemental studies. It is well-protected, so I hear.'

Less than an hour later, you're back at the tower, talking it over with Merriam.

"Youngwater? That's a mostly elven town, isn't it?" she asks.

"It is. I need you to go there and establish a base of operations for me. We can do this however you like, but essentially I need you to go in, learn about the town, make friends and secure potentially valuable assets and connections."

"I'm not sure..." She draws her red hair behind one ear and chews on a lip. "It's just, in all the time we've been together, I've never gone off on my own without you, or Ben, or... anyone."

"You want to go," you tell her, and the subtle effect of your mark makes her unable to resist.

"I do, it sounds very interesting! It's just... I don't want to let you down, and I don't know how effective I'll be by myself."

"Take whoever you like, whoever would make you feel the most comfortable."

She thinks for a moment. "Kaylessa. He's an elf, he'll help me blend in more. Teach me about proper elvish... um..."

"Etiquette."

"Yes!"

"I'm sure you two will have all sorts of fun being out on your own," you say, raising your eyebrows. She blushes and averts her eyes. "Now, you'll need money, and some supplies. But first we need a plan of action..."

A smile comes to your lips as you place a hand on hers. "Congratulations, Merraim. You're going to be the first person in your family to go to college."

"College?"

"The Bratia College of Elemental Study, to be specific. It's in Youngwater, one of its finest features. So I'm told; I attended the Alakaz Academy in the capital. Top of my class, you know."

"But... Sirena, I'm just a country girl. Sure, I know a little magic from you, but..."

"Hush. I have friends in many places, Merriam." Taking out your bag of holding, you withdraw the orb Francis gave to you to contact him. You place your hands on it and focus. "Francis. Francis! Pick up the orb!"

His face appears in it. "Huh? What is it now? I was just in the middle of--"

"Have you ever been invited to attend the Bratia School of Elemental Study?"

"What? Uh... I think. I never went. Not my scene. Lots of elves around there, though..."

"Find the invitation or make a new one with your magic. Forge it so that Merriam is invited, and make it as legitimate as possible."

"...Okay? Give me a night. It should be around here somewhere, in one of these stacks of paper... Or maybe I left it under my rug..." His face disappears.

You look up and smile at her. "See? Now, if you're going to college, you're going to need to look the part, and you'll need as much assistance as possible..."

You and she go down into the vault, which is a fancy term for the storage cloest, and there you dig through your wondrous items.

"We picked up some basic magic wands in that mine... Here, I've got two. You take one." You hand her a wand. "Now, what else to give you..."

This is all I ask. To bring the little guy along while we do stuff. We should see if we can flesh-craft some of the Dragonscales onto him at some point. Like give him dragonscale hands that work like gauntlets.

"I didn't think you'd be interested in this sort of thing," Amber comments as you and she ride into town on the back of the new wagon.

"Just because I don't swing a sword doesn't mean I'm not an adventurer. I've had lots of adventures."

"Yeah, well... You're not too bad in a fight," she admits, looking away.

"Oh? What's this? Was that praise coming out of your mouth?"

"Stuff it," she mutters. "Give someone a compliment and get lip for it..."

You slide over next to her and put an arm around her shoulder. "You're very skilled as well. Maybe even better than Ben."

"Oh, don't kid yourself. DEFINITELY better than Ben, that's why I'm teaching him and not the other way around. But he's learning."

"Indeed..."

The rest of the ride is spent in silence, though she doesn't protest to your newfound familiarity with her.

With Amber's help and guidance, purchasing a good property is a breeze. She's spent a lot of time in the guild and could very easily take over affairs in managing and running it. At your questioning, she specifies that it wouldn't keep her from adventuring herself, but she will need to appoint a runner-up, a lieutenant, to keep things running while she is away, of which there are plenty of figures hanging around Bridge Town that would do nicely.

Of course, your reccomendation would be highly appreciated.

After browsing the options, you select the one who seems to have the least amount of baggage: a large, brauny man by the name of Frederick Northingshire Jr..

"What ho, my dears! A very fine day to you!" He strikes a pose, flexing his muscles before performing a polite kneel and bow. "I am humbled to accept this most prestigious honor! I shan't take my duties lightly, no! Together, we shall turn this into a fine establishment where many a hero shall rise from the humblest of origins into the greatest of legends!" He finishes up his speech with another pose, thrusting one arm upwards and curling the other.

Amber cocks a brow way up and looks at you as if to ask, 'Are you sure about this?'

You nod and smile, giving her a thumbs-up.

The redheaded girl looks at his chest. "How does your bowtie stay on?" she asks, noting that he is wearing neither a shirt nor anything around his neck.

He leans in close and whispers. "It's a secret, so don't spread it around: it's magnetic."

Elder Grey, having moved back in with her husband, seems to have cleaned up somewhat from living out in the wild. She still has her undead cats, though she keeps them hidden from the town, which isn't difficult since Old Man Grey's home is along the outer edges of the town.

"Not going to stay in that old town any longer?" you ask.

"Wineleah is rotting and I've no interest in keeping it from doing so," Elder Grey replies. "Now that I have left it, others will set their eyes upon it. Let them! I am home."

As you sit and drink tea, you look over and see the lantern hanging near the fireplace. Within it burns a terrible flame, the spirit of the demon of vengeance, and ever since you returned it has only gotten hotter. Clearly, your presence has agitated it.

"I have foreseen a battle happening there later today," the old bearded man speaks up as he enters the room. "Not a great one, merely territorial in nature..."

"A battle?" you ask, intensely curious. "Why?"

He shakes his head. "It's an old, abandonned town. Could be used for all manner of things. All of the players are merely small-time, but whoever comes out on top will have a new home."

"Tell me about what you foresaw. Who is involved in this scuffle?"

"I divined that a group of several barbarians, survivors of a massacre to the southwest, have crossed the river and are north of us now. They will discover the town by nightfall. Similar to them are a group of wild elf criminals, currently on the run. Four in total, I believe. They will seek refuge in the town. Another group, tall blue goblins from the lake, are attempting to expand their territory into the forest. They will be met by a green troll from the swamp, who is on the trail of several greenspawned lizardlings, sent hunting for a barbarian by their dragon broodmother."

"What was that last bit?"

"It is known to us that a large barbarian has been hunting and slaying the greenspawn of the forest. They are hunting him for this in turn."

'Krom,' you think, your heart fluttering slightly as memories of your last encounter with the demigod burn through your mind. You quickly control your reactions and ask, "Will he be part of it?"

"No, he is elsewhere," the old man mutters. "But the final group are the ones who are already there: bounty hunters."

"They took up residence in the town shortly after I left," Elder Grey says. "I believe they are searching for you, my dear."

Your eyes narrow. "I see..."

"I want to observe this battle," you announce.

"Easy enough matter," the old man says, getting out his crystal ball. He places it in the center of the room and the three of you look on (except Elder Grey, for obvious reasons). He attunes the orb to behold the ruined village of Wineleah. "It will not be long now..." he says.

"Excellent," you say, stroking one of Elder Grey's undead cats in your lap as you cross your legs. "Will you help me cast spells to influence this fight?"

"Plenty of magic," Elder Grey replies. "This is a good opportunity to learn some."

Focusing upon the wild elf criminal band, the scene in the orb shifts to that of a chase scene. The four wild elves, one man and three women, make their way through the forest with great speed and urgency, for arrows follow closely behind. Their leader, the man, is a stern-faced elf with dark eyes, deep auburn hair and light tattoos on his face and arms. He seems strong, lean and handsome, in a rugged elvish manner, if such a thing exists. It is he that leads the women away from pursuit, though one of them is wounded and bleeding.

When they stop, they wait for some time. He tends to the wounded woman, who is apparently his lover. The other two, apparently sisters, scout around for any signs of being followed.

"We should not have tried," the wounded one says to him.

"There was no choice. Our hand was forced." He finishes tying off a leaf around her wound. "We cannot stay here for long."

One of the sisters returns. "I have found a trail. But we must be cautious -- we are nearing man lands."

Placing your hands upon the orb, you call forth to the wild elf's mind. "Hear me," your word echo, causing him to draw a knife and look around madly. "I am far away. I am not your enemy."

"What witchery is this? I'll not stop, do you hear me?!"

"I do not wish for you to stop. But you are headed towards danger. With each and every moment, you draw closer to an abandonned town. But so do others, and when you meet, death will follow. Do not stumble blindly into the battle; linger on its edge, wait for the moment to strike."

His eyes narrow, but he grows still. "Who are you?"

"An ally who may have just saved your life. Make it worth my time and I'll ensure your pursuers never find you or your friends."

"Alright... We'll just see, won't we?"

You take your hands off the orb. "Interesting," the old man says, lightly pulling at his beard. "Changing the fate I have divined..."

"What do you see now?"

"Each small change makes the original divination muddier. That is the way of things. Now the elves have a glimpse of what is to come, and as such their involvement is completely changed. This could change the course of the battle."

With the old man's words about changing the outcome on your mind, you begin to stage the arena to give the other factions as little chance as possible. Firstly, you warn the bounty hunters about the oncoming troll, causing them to be unprepared for the barbarians at their rear. In turn, both groups are caught unawares by the lizardlings, who join the fight when they think the barbarians are allied with Krom.

The battle is fiercely impressive in its savagery; the greenspawn are not like the wyvern and snake you saw, but rather like lizardfolk. This makes them especially dangerous, as they are more cunning than brutal, able to work together to attack their foes. The battle seems firmly in their favor until the goblins arrive, bullied into working for the troll.

Now the battle shifts onto an entirely different spectrum. The troll battles the lizardlings, his original targets, while the goblins serve as fodder to distract the bounty hunters. The barbarians take a moment to recover, and this is when you realize your wild elves must strike. You send an order to their leader to strike, and he and his three female companions finish off the barbarians with a surprise volley of arrows.

The wild elves, as they were not caught unawares in this fight thanks to your forewarning, pick their way through the ruins. You marvel at their excellent guerilla tactics, remaining hidden until the right moment comes to slit a throat or paint a target with arrows. As the troll finishes off the last of the lizardlings, the elves spring upon him from above, carrying torches to burn him. The troll cries out in pain as he is unable to defend himself in his weakened and wounded state and thus burnt to death, the only true way to kill a troll.

The last of the goblins fall to the wild elf leader's arrows and the battle ends.

"What a show," you say with a smile, darkly laughing to yourself at the carnage. "Those elves were exceptional. They would make fine scouts or assassins."

"Your influence grows in many ways," Elder Grey says with a nod. "Even the smallest of actions can cause the largest of changes..."

"The barbarians were originally set to win," the diviner says. "The wild elves, originally caught unawares, would have been slaughtered. Then they would have reunited with their leader, the one called Krom and eased his troubled and guilty mind. He believes all his people are dead."

"And now they are, or they may as well be," you shrug. "Perhaps I prefer it this way. An angry and guilty Krom is one I can still use..."

Travelling north is no problem, and you know the way very well by now. Soon you are in Wineleah, stepping over the corpses of the dead as you approach the four wild elf criminals on the run.

"Very well done," you compliment them. For this meeting you have elected to appear as yourself, in your true form and clothing. They look at you with a mixture of surprise, bewilderment and suspicion. "Fear not. I am your ally. After all, was it not me who warned you of this coming fray? The barbarians would have slaughtered you otherwise."

"Maybe they would have, and maybe they wouldn't have," the man says. "I am Arradon, and this is my wife Mormaraleth. The sisters, my cousins, Jinarra and Torethel."

"And why are you on the run?"

"We were framed for a murder we did not commit," he says.

For a moment, you simply stand in silence. You suspect he is lying, but that matters little. "I have given you the opportunity to survive. What's more, I can give you the opportunity to live a new life. New appearances, a new home, whatever you desire. But you must return my favors in service."

"What manner of service?" he asks, folding his arms. "We are not used to serving anyone but ourselves."

Again, you doubt his word. He looks like a career criminal and mercenary, but he is rather shrewd and picks his words carefully. You note that for future reference. "I have need of scouts, and spies, and assassins. I can pay in money, but I can also offer much greater rewards. Serve me, and I will ensure your enemies not only die, but that you will have the greatest of revenge upon them."

"Maybe I have no enemies I seek vengeance upon," he replies.

You step forward and smile. "Everyone does."

He looks back at his wife and cousins, then back at you. "Very well. For now, we accept, but only if you hold true to your word."

"I wouldn't think of anything to the contrary."

"So you say..."

You step forward and cast your spells to change their appearance, giving them new faces, hair and eyes. Mormaraleth steps up to Arradon and touches his face. "I will need to get used to this..." she whispers.

"As will I," he says, looking at her new appearance.

Stepping back again to admire your work, you think about now where to keep them.

A simple teleportation brings you back to Riverside Landing, the hideout of the pirate gang. They are here, and celebrating their latest raid with songs and ale. Having disguised yourself, you make your way to Bruut's captain's quarters.

You find the half-orc sitting in his office with a human girl in his lap, her hands bound and she is struggling to escape, though one of his large greenish hands on her waist keeps her from doing so. He laughs and downs a mug.

"Let me go, you brute!"

"No, BRUUT. Pronounced differently!"

"I don't care, unhand me and release me!"

"Y'need to learn how ta have a good time, girlie!" He pours his mug out on top of her, ruining her hair. She struggles some more as he leans in to lick at her neck. "'Ere we go! Hahah!"

Revealing yourself, you ask, "Am I interrupting, captain?"

He looks up from her. "Oy! Was wonderin' when you were gonna show!" He discards the girl in the corner as he stands up and walks over to you. "We got 3,000 for you. Gold, not girls! Five o' them. Four young ones, one older." He points at the girl in the corner. "We'll be keepin' that one, as per our agreement, every three you get, we get to keep one. Makes me wish we had two more, hah!"

You look over briefly at the frightened young woman, who doesn't know whether it is better to beg or remain silent.

"Oh yeah, we got two men too. They didn't want to join up. Them and the five girls are down in the basement waitin' fer ya."

Sirena is now the Witch Queen, meaning she has her own pocket dimension of worshippers and received a massive jump in power.

She inadvertantly released one of the last moon elves - a distant ancestor of Sirena herself, in fact - who kicked Sirena's shit in before leaving for the moon and beginning her plans to destroy all life.

Currently, we're consolidating our assets and beginning to expand our influence.

"Tell me about what you've done."

"Nothin' too 'eavy... Couple'a farms. The money came from a merchant ship we outran and sunk with him tied to it. Haha!"

"Sounds quite exciting," you say, sitting down on a comfortable chair and crossing your legs.

"Oh, me 'an the boys have a hell of a time. Great crew, real rowdy bunch. You should come out with us sometime, I'd show you a night you'd remember. Blood and guts and wine; is there anythin' betta?"

"You certainly know how to flatter a girl, Bruut."

"I know how to nail 'em, too," he says with a wide toothy grin, his eyes feasting on your form. You smile and lean back somewhat, putting an arm around the back of the chair.

"Only farms, though? Are you in need of better equipment?"

He sits back and scratches himself. "We've got good enough gear. Could always use more men willin' to do the fightin', that's what's keepin' us back: numbers. If I had, oh, twice as many, I'd go after somethin' more well-defended, like a church or a town. 'Til then, farms and the occasional odd vessel. Good fun, not too challengin'."

"Tell you what: I'll take only one third of my three thousand. Use the rest for yourself."

"How much does that leave us wit?"

Your brow raises. "Five thousand." Shaking your head, you think, 'Good with bashing, bad with numbers. Figures.'

"Right, right, I knew that," he says. "Sounds good. I'll have the prettiest among us go make a supply run and git some gear."

"I'll be leaving, then. I didn't see these girls you spoke of when I arrived -- where are they downstairs?"

"Got 'em in a closet. Here's the key." He takes it off his desk and throws it to you. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I aim ta make me a half-half-orc, hahah!" As you leave the room, he advances on the girl again, her shouts drowned out by you closing the door and the songs outside.

Downstairs, you open the closet and behold their spoils: four young girls, in varrying degrees of attractiveness but none ugly, one middle-aged and mature woman and two men, rather scrawny ones. 'The four young women will fit Vincent's profile nicely,' you think as you look on the other three. 'What to do...'

"Let us go!" the woman speaks up. She struggles against the rope tied behind her back, keeping her against a support beam. "I don't know who the hell you are, but when I get loose, I'm going to knock out your teeth!"

"Shut up!" one of the men says. "Just do what they want!"

"Oh shut it yourself!" the other says. "I want to negotiate!"

"Please let us go home!" a young girl pleads with you. "My father has money, h-he can pay!"

You adopt a friendly face. "Come along now, we don't have much time."

Helping them up, one of the girls asks, "What's going on? Who are you?"

"I'm getting you out of here. Hurry, my magic will only keep them distracted for so long!"

Everyone is onboard with the idea, except the older woman. "I'm not fooled by you. You're a witch! Only a witch would dress as you do!"

You look her up and down. Your initial assessment of her placed her as older than you thought; she's perhaps only around forty, and clearly a mother, perhaps of a few children. Not half bad looking, either, for a woman of her age and standing.

"You have no choice," you tell her, pulling her out into the room. You force them all to stand on the rune, and before any of them can react, you teleport them to Aran.

"What is this place?!" one of the girls screams as they huddle close together.

"I told you she was a witch!" The woman shouts and tries to escape. Your servitors are on her and the men in an instant, dragging them off.

'I'll deal with them later,' you think, then turn back to the women. "Now then..."

Teleporting them to Bad Luck Mine, which is only slightly east of the lakeside tavern where Vincent lairs, you herd them like frightened sheep through the wilderness as they cry and beg. Eventually you tire of their prattle and decide to do something about it.

Some simple enthrallment is all it takes. After enchanting them into believing they are not in harm and that they have been selected for a great honor. You remember well last time you came here, and so you lead them into the basement.

Vincent is as you remember him, though upon seeing you his eyes brigthen and he smiles. "Mary! It's been too long. And here I was, thinking you had forgotten about me!"

"I'm here about our deal."

"You must allow me to inspect the stock, first," he says, looking each girl up and down. "Yes... these will do nicely. Tell me, would you like to join me for dinner tonight?" He opens his mouth and bares his fangs before licking one of the girls across her cheek. She shivers in fear.

"Perhaps, but first our deal..."

"Yes, of course," he says, summoning two of his vampiric thralls to take the girls away and prepare them. "Let's talk magic..."

>New Spells! Thralldom!

Sleep: Casting this spell will cause someone to fall into a sound slumber. It helps if they are already weak, drunk, exhausted or otherwise. They can still be awakened by normal means, but this spell will ensure that the initial moments of their sleep is the strongest. The time it affects someone will vary from person to person, but generally it will last anywhere from ten minutes to two hours. Those of particularly strong will may be able to resist the effects.
1 Shadow Point: Dark Slumber: By augmenting this spell, you can widen its normal effects to several people or put one person into an even deeper and more forceful sleep from which they cannot be naturally roused for several hours.

Truth: Casting this spell causes a target to become much more open and honest, causing them to be more likely to tell the truth when questioned on matters. Particularly expert liers, incredibly desperate targets and those of strong will may resist it, even more so if they are hostile towards you at the time of casting/questioning.

Heroism: Casting this spell will remove fear and caution from a target, causing them to act in ways that they may not due to cowardice, self-preservation and common sense. A man could charge a platoon of soldiers or leap into a raging housefire to save a cat. This spell lasts about ten minutes.

Charm Monster: Monsters, unlike animals and people, tend to be very single-minded, but casting this spell will cause them to treat you like a friend. Though particularly powerful monsters or those bred for single purposes may be more resistant, this spell will help avoid a nasty encounter with a dangerous creature. Lasts about ten minutes.

"Thank you for your business," you say to him, and turn as though to leave.

"Wait, wait! Only business? No pleasure?" He smiles as he sits and sips red wine (but likely not...) from a glass. "I bid you, Mary, stay for dinner. It will be a feast indeed... And if you do, I'll sweeten our deal."

You stop at the door. He's got your interest, at the very least. Turning, you ask, "With what?"

"You would be dining with a master of the craft, madam. I'll teach you a spell that exists nowhere else, one that augments all thralldom magic."

"And just what might that be? Something that makes them more susceptable to becoming thralls? I have my ways for that."

"No, not at all... But if you want to learn, stay. You'll be my guest of honor..."

"I saw what happened at your last dinner, you know."

He waves a hand. "I would not turn you unless you asked. Incidentally, that offer remains on the table..."

"Very well. But no tricks, Vincent. I'm not going to fall for any games."

"Of that I have no doubt," he says with a bow, leading you deeper into his establishment. "I am very pleased you will be joining us tonight. I'll make it an occasion of great delight." You can only wonder at what he means by that. As you enter the lower reaches of his underground keep, he takes you to a lavish bedchamber. "Only for your use until dinner is fully prepared," he says with a wide, sharp smile.

You enter and he closes the door behind you. You check to ensure that it is not locked; he doesn't seem to be keeping you from leaving. 'I must be careful. But so far he hasn't attempted any thralldom, otherwise I'd have known...'

As you move further into the room to inspect the bed and its satin sheets, you suddenly become aware of the fact that you are not alone. You turn around and see two women in the room with you, pale of skin and busty of chest, clad in white, loosely-fitting garments threatening to fall at any moment. Their lips are painted red and their eyes are thick with shadow, dangerously alluring and damningly tempting. You didn't even hear them enter...

"We have been sent with a gift from our master," one of them says, holding up a beautiful dress threaded with crimson and gold.

"We will help you, if you like," the second one adds in a low, inviting tone.

You smirk. 'Do men truly fall for this so easily? If this were any more on the nose my face would be on the floor from the weight. Still, if I were careful...'

"Very well then," you say, turning your back to them but keeping one eye on them. "Do your master's bidding."

They advance on you, silent as shadows, their hands refreshingly cool as they disrobe you. Their fingers glide across your skin as they pull your hair back, one moving to comb it while the other finishes dropping your dress to the floor. Shameless, they lavish attention upon your body, though never move to bite it -- true to Vincent's word. He is surprisingly forthcoming, given his bloodsucking nature.

As they prepare you, intentionally making it as sensuous as possible, you find yourself relaxing (but not too much -- these are vampires after all) and you remark, "Mmm... I could use servants like you."

"You may use us however you please," one says, placing a gentle kiss upon your hand. The other brings up the dress but hesitates. "Would my lady enjoy a bath?" she asks.

"I think I would."

Within minutes, they draw your water, hot and steaming, and join you in the stone bath. You stand and allow them to wash you fully with soft rags and sweet-scented soap that seems to dull your senses. You fear you are being drawn into an extremely vulnerable position but you remind yourself that, even in the worst of scenarios, you could escape instantly by teleporting to Faye. And though they are being quite carnal, they never go beyond mere kisses and sensual rubbing.

The vampiric thralls wash you now with their bodies, all but throwing themselves upon you. They had gradually been getting bolder and bolder, but now there is no masking their intent. Your cheeks burn not only from the heat of the bath as these beautiful thralls lavish attentions unlike any you have ever felt before, making you feel as though an empress or a goddess. When the bath is concluded, they take you into the bedchamber and dry you before dressing you. Though you feel a craving, you do not make

"Our master will be waiting in the dining hall," one of them says as they drift out on soundless feet, leaving you slightly flustered.

'I need slaves,' you quickly decide.

In the main hall, you find Vincent sitting at the head of the table. You decide to sit opposite him, and when you do he calls forth for the food. Two other thralls bring out plates of bountiful food for both you and he.

"I must admit, your hospitality is definitely not lacking." One of the thralls pours you a glass of wine. "But I thought vampires couldn't eat food or drink wine?"

He places a hand on his chest. "Nonsense. Only the truly accursed wretches among my kind. I am what all vampires aspire to be, a perfect specimen."

"Quite high praise for yourself," you smirk.

"And I assure you, though I may be cool to the touch, I feel everything... In fact, since I turned, my sensory system has nearly doubled in its sensitivity. Now, every cold morning wind is as fresh as winter, every drop of wine a vineyard, every kiss is like your first..." He trails off and smiles. "But of course, I don't want to make it sound TOO tempting..."

"I can see why you are so obsessed with sensation, then. But do your senses never dull? Having too much of the same thing renders anyone mad."

"True... There are forces within the mind and body that cause us to crave, to yearn and desire more. I know much about desire, and craving... my life is consumed by it. I am made of it."

"But surely you must have an endgame," you say, taking a sip. "Why else desire so many thralls? Not just for you. I remember well our discussion last time."

"Now, now, Mary, I enjoy our time together. But I am not allowed to discuss the finer details of what me and my brothers are truly doing to someone who is not initiated into our inner circle of trust, and for that you would have to speak with our father."

Your eyes widen slightly. "Your father...?"

"I suppose there is no reason not to be honest with you. We three -- Albert, Herbert and myself -- serve our father. And he has great designs in the works. For that, he needs bodies, all manner of them. Be they my thralls, or Albert's abominations, or Herbert's... well, his contributions are not as glamorous but just as important to the whole."

"Who is your father?"

"He prefers to introduce himself. I can take you to him, if you like. I think he would very much like to meet you."

"What is he? A vampire like yourself?"

"Is Albert a vampire?"

"I've never seen him without his mask, and never around fresh bodies. I'm inclined to say no."

"That's because he is not, and neither is Herbert. All of us are undead, in our own way. Though in my case, I prefer to use the term, 'Living Dead.' Sounds cleaner. Our father, too, is undead, and greater than all of us."

Your mind runs through the possibilities. A lich? A mummy lord? A brain in a jar? What could it be?

"Perhaps I will meet him, when the time is right. Before then, I'd like to get to know his favorite son more." You throw a wink in his direction and he seems suitably pleased, even though you did not specify who the son is. His ego, of course, compels him to place himself in that position.

"Then let me show you something... enchanting."

At that moment, the four girls are brought in. Three of them are in a trance and take their places at the table, but one of them is being forced by two of his thralls. She is awake and fully conscious. "Let me go! I don't want to be here! I want to go home, I want my family! Please, please stop!"

"I hope you appreciate the effort I am expending in making this little demonstration a possibility for you," Vincent tells you as he looks up at the girl. "Relax, my dear. Sit."

"No!"

Vincent's eyes blaze red and his voice takes on a sinister edge. "Sit."

The girl stops struggling, and she does so. His eyes stop glowing. "Now, what did you just do?"

"I... I sat down..." she answers, very clearly no longer being controlled. Tears stream down her cheeks.

"Did you want to?"

"N-no... I want to go home... I want my mommy and daddy..."

"Aw, hush now... It'll be alright. Did you sit of your own free will? Answer me now."

"No... You made me."

He looks over at you and smiles. "See? That's always the problem with thralldom. If the spell is broken, if it wears off, and you made them do something they cannot rationalize as something they wanted to do -- or rather, if you cannot fool them into thinking that what you made them do was what they wanted all along -- then they know you cast a spell upon them. Now, let me demonstrate something else..."

Vincent looks back at the girl. "I want you to stand up, my dear." She does so, her movements slow and controlled. "Now, remove your clothing. All of it." Reaching up to her shoulders, she drops it to the floor. At first, you don't notice it, as you are distracted by the girl -- but Vincent's lips are moving as he casts another spell. He ends his control on the girl and then asks, "Now, did you do that of your own free will?"

"Y-yes..." she says, moving to cover herself with her hands. "I'll d-do anything to g-go home..."

Vincent smiles and looks back at you. "What do you think? You see? She doesn't even know I used a spell, even though I commanded her to do this.

"What?" she says, bewildered. "But I--"
>>
>>1573420

He holds up a hand and she stops speaking. "No more words from you, dear." He commands her to sit back down, which she does, though still in the nude. "Now, this little spell I have devised targets specifically the reaction that a mortal has upon realizing they have been enthralled. I call it 'Erasure' for the simple fact that it erases that reaction, and thus the brain, in all its wonderful simplicity and desire for sense, simply fills in the gap with the false knowledge that the only reason the person did what was commanded of them is because they wanted to. In other words... I have perfected thralldom to the point where I can make a man kill his own family and then have him justify the action."

"Very impressive," you admit. "The spell you spoke of... this is it? You would give me this?"

He brings up the glass of wine and swirls it around in one hand. "Well... not entirely for free."

'That spell could be insanely useful... He wasn't lying when he said it augments all other thralldom spells. But what is he after?'

"How long does it last?"

"You seem to misunderstand; it is instant and permanent. I created this spell with flavors of modifying memory and a few other strands of DNA, rather like mixing blood into a bowl..." He smiles and sips.

"Name your price."

"My price is simple," he says, taking a drink. "I want you to taste the blood of these fresh victims with me."

Slowly, your brow raises. "You aren't planning some manner of blood magic, are you?"

"On you? Perish the thought. I merely wish to give you a taste of what it is like to be in my world, to feel someone else's life pulse upon your tongue, tickling your senses and lighting them ablaze. Dine with me, and I will give you this spell."

"Your intent is that this will awaken some deep, unknown lust within me that will only be sated by more blood?"

He smiles. "Perhaps."

"How would you have me taste this blood?"

He rises from his position at the table, and takes the hand of the naked girl. He walks her over to you with an arm around her shoulders, then turns her to face him. Staring deeply into her eyes, her lips part and all resistance flees from her like a mouse scampering into its hole. Lifting her chin with one hand, he bares his fangs and lowers himself to her neck. She gasps as he bites her, sealing her as his, drinking deeply of her life fluids. You find the sight strangely erotic as she subtly writhes against him, cluthing at his arm and cloak, her heart racing more and more slowly until she is completely subdued. You watch with the fascinating that one watches a spider wrapping up its prey, but on a human scale.

When he pulls away, his mouth is stained red and blood pours down her neck, seeping into the valley between her heaving breasts. He now looks upon you and offers you his hand, his eyes twinkling with life from his recent feeding.

"You choose how you want it," he says, answering your question.

Taking his hand, you stand in front of the victim and lean down to her. Your lips find her skin and immediately begin to gently suckle where the blood has spilt, right above her busom. When the blood reaches your tongue, you feel something strange, something that compels you to lick her up to her wound, taking the blood with you. You pull back and close your eyes, finding yourself relishing the taste.

Perhaps it is normal blood, perhaps he has done something to it, it matters little -- the moment is what causes this sweetness upon your lips and tongue to be that much more exquisite. Your mind hazes and you feel your heart beat in your chest, and for a brief moment, you understand what it is to be one of them.

But that moment is fleeting, and bleeds away like the girl in his arms. He smiles and leans back down to her neck to resume his feeding. You then feel a pair of hands on your shoulders, guiding you to your seat; the two thralls from earlier.

When Vincent pulls away, he takes out a white cloth and wipes his lips. "I did not know if you would partake. I am very pleased."

"It is an experience I won't forget."

"I shall teach you my spell. Furthermore, as I have three more feasts before me and am thus in an exceptionally generous mood, I would like to offer you a gift. Two, in fact."

"I am known to be way of exceptionally generous people," you reply.

"I expect nothing in return, for I know you will deliver more girls to me in good time. Take these two for your own purposes."

You look at them as the kneel alongside you, placing their hands upon your arms and smiling. "Do they not need to be near you?"

"I assure you, they are completely turned and completely subservient. They shall serve you well for whatever tasks you see them fit for."

The offer is tempting... as are all of his offers as a rule. But should you take them? What if he intends them to be spies? But even if they are, you have not made an enemy of Vincent or his family... yet. And there could be many potential uses for thralls such as these...

You come upon a curious sight. There is a dwarf, who appears to be a priest or cleric of some kind, battling a group of undead. You hide and look upon this battle, wondering if you should interfere and for what side.

The dwarf is a runepriest, who battles by blessing his weapons with powerful runes, as well as casting them upon the ground. The priest wields a hammer, and charges the undead fearlessly. His runes both protect him and harm his enemies, causing one of them to burn from within as he casts the rune upon the undead's chest.

'He's quite the warrior,' you note. 'Runepriests are a rare thing; perhaps he could pass on his knowledge... If not to me, then perhaps Alex?'

Stepping out, you raise your hands and command the dead. They all halt, giving the dwarf the chance he needs. Holding aloft his hammer, he casts a bright golden spell, encircling him with a halo of light. It then flies out from him in all directions, followed by letters of a divine runic alphabet. This circle of light acts to the undead like a scythe to wheat, slicing them cleanly in half. Grass and plants alike scatter from the wind of the spell, and even you must shield your eyes.

When it is done and the halved corpses all fall, the dwarf lets out a deep breath, walks over to a rock and plops down upon it. "Aye, these old bones've seen better days..." He looks up at you and squints. "Who're ye?"

"I am Mary, good sir dwarf, and may I say I admire your magic."

"You've got some too, aye?" He takes out a flask and drinks. "Want some? Just water. Gave up the hard drink long ago."

You sit next to him and take his water, drinking from it. "What brings you out here?"

"This land is thick with dead lately," he replies. "The kind that don't want to stay down. I try an' put 'em back that way." Taking out his holy symbol, he mutters a small prayer. "For kin long past."

"I see... Your name?"

"Where're me manners? Bargum. Bargum, son of Barrum, of the Runicsewn blood. Far from home, aye. Don't quite feel at home there anymore these days."

"Why is that?"

"Too many new folk in the family; family's not what it used to be. We dwarves don't like change. Not much choice, I 'spose."

"Well, I know a young man who hates undead and has vowed to slay every last one of them, but could use some guidance. I know an even younger young man who is a devout priest but lacks wordly experience. And they both happen to live with me, not far from here, in a very comfortable tower."

He takes his flask back. "Go on."

"Well, a bed for weary feet and impressionable minds to help shape. Could be what you're looking for."

He scratches his bald head. "Seems a might bit too convenient..."

"You follow the gods, yes? You cast spells through the use of their supernal runes. Call it fate, call it coincidence, call it whatever you like. But here we are."

He kicks his feet up. "Well, I could use a good rest! The other parts, well, we'll work that out later. Lead on, lass!"

You travel along the river, then south to the tower, where you introduce Bargum to your allies. Tomorrow morning, Merriam is set to leave for Youngwater, taking a horse and Kay with her.

"Don't I get a say in all of this?" Kay asks, now that he finally has a chance to talk to you.

"Would you prefer to not go alone with Merriam for an extended period of time?"

"No, it's not that, it's just... I have family in Youngwater. Family that doesn't particularly like me."

"Well, it's either that or stay here with the surly dwarf who probably doesn't like elves." You look up at the tower. "Bargum!" He sticks his head out the second story window. "How do you feel about elves!"

"I don't like them!"

You smile at Kay. "See?"

The dwarf vanishes back inside but his voice can still be heard. "I get the bed of the elf lass when she leaves!"

Kay sighs. "Fine... I'll deal with it." You put a hand on his shoulder and pull him in for a quick kiss. "Watch after her, Kay. She's special to both of us. Don't let me down."

"I won't," he promises.

After a good night of eating and introducing the dwarf to everyone, you make sure to take full advantage of Merriam's last night and make it a memorable one with Ben, but not before putting everyone else to a deep slumber with your new magic so as to allow her to scream extra loud.

"I have tasked the servitors with collecting all information relevant to what you have described, your highness."

"How long do you suspect it will take, Sheldrake?"

"Not long, but the Library of Lost Tomes is quite large. The seventh Witch Queen was the first and the last to organize the library, and during that time we had a dedicated librarian servant."

"I'll keep that in mind for the future. When the books are assembled, send them to my tower. I have another source I can pick the brain of until then."

The pale butler bows. "As you command."

Stepping back onto the teleportation circle, you are whisked back to Redford Keep where you climb the stairs and enter Alex's room with a polite knock. "Hello, Mary!" he beams up at you. "How are you today?"

"I find myself curious," you reply, sitting on his bed. "You read much. Have you ever delved deeply into history?"

"Only the history that comes from knowing the complete works of the First Faith."

"And what of the history that pre-dates them?"

"Oh, there's a section on that. Would you like me to read it to you?"

"Please, summarize it. But in specific I am trying to learn more about the moon elves."

His eyes go wide. "Oooohh! I know about them!"

"You do? Fantastic! It's refreshing to hear that answer. Please, tell me all you know."

"Well, I'm not a full historian... But legend has it that, in the beginning of time, dragons ruled the world. This was an age unlike any mortals can imagine, because the dragons were not as we know them now, but titans of earth, fire, water and more. Their clashing forged the world as we know it and some say, the stars above. It is even rumored that the sun was once a dragon that grew so hot as to forever become a great call of light in the heavens."

He walks over to his book and opens it up, flipping through its pages. "It is said that there was a great dragon king who ruled a cosmic empire. But, for reasons we cannot know, that empire was lost and fell, and the many dragons of the world today are but the reflections of that greatness. The dragons were the first to harness magic, but the race that inherited their lost glory were the elves."

"These same elvess sought to escape our world, and so mastered a lost art of moon magic that allowed them to travel to the moon. It is recorded by some sources that they believed that the moon, being part of the heavens, was closer to the gods, a kind of staging ground upon which the faithful would be reclaimed when the time came. So they migrated to the moon and built wonders upon wonders on its surface, whole cities!"

'I've been to the moon, and I can say that it was not very impressive... But let the ancient elves think what they may.' You then ask, "So, these were the moon elves?"

"Yes. It is said the moon changed them, causing them to turn white. They abhorred the earth and all the creatures upon it, but were not hostile towards it. At least, until the dark elves were born."

"Dark elves? Like the ones we have today?"

"They are close, but no. Dark moon elves. From the caverns underneath the moon's surface and upon its darker side, these elves were ideologically opposed to their brethren. They believed in making war upon the planet below, cleansing it, and only then would their gods accept them into the true afterlife. Nobody knows what truly happened there in this time, only that the two sides fought until a leader rose up and united both halves. It seems she was a dark moon elf, for as soon as she took power, the elves returned to the world below to make war. But what they found was something they had not expected."

"Who?" you briefly ask to allow him to continue.

"Man. Lacking in magic, the ancient empire of men relied instead upon some kind of lost technology, building armies of steam-powered automata. It seems unlikely that they could have done this without some kind of magic, so perhaps it was magic, but not as we know it. Since the elves had left the world, man had risen up and made an empire of his own, and so now the empire of the earth clashed with the empire of the moon. This was the first great war between man and elf."

"And how did it end?"

"Badly, for both sides. Both empires were annihilated in this conflict; the elves never again returned to the moon and were scattered across the world, eventually changing into what they are today. And man? Their empire was shattered into several smaller kingdoms and their technology was lost. But now we have magic, so... perhaps it was not so much a loss. But none can deny that the empires of old were of a scale that none today have ever achieved. After a 'thousand-year-darkness' following the war, the world rebuilt itself, with man and elf emerging in their new forms. But there have been three wars between man and elf in history, the last one ending only three-hundred years ago... Thankfully, we have had the First Faith to guide us out of the ignorance we seem to keep finding ourselves trapped in."

He closes his book. "Anyway... that's all I know."

"Why did you want to know all of this, Mary?"

You put your hands in your lap as you look at him. "Come sit next to me, Alex." He dutifully does so, and you place an arm around him. "I'm afraid I haven't been completely honest with you."

"What? What do you mean?" he asks in a concerned tone.

"That book we found deep within Bad Luck Mine, it unleashed something that only I saw. A moon elf."

"Truly? What was it like?"

"She is my ancestor," you tell him, and his eyes go wide. "She recognized it. Unfortunately, she was pure evil... We fought, suspended in time, but her power was much greater than mine. During our battle, she said she wanted to destroy the world, before retreating to the moon. I suspect she is still there now..."

"This is... dire news," Alex whispers. "What are we going to do?"

"I honestly do not know."

His small hands find yours and he squeezes tightly. "We must have faith! If we work hard and believe in ourselves, we can defeat her if she returns!"

You smile down at him and ruffle his hair. "You're optimistic, aren't you?"

"I just know that we can do anything as long as we stand together. It's just like it's written in the scriptures, unity is the source of all strength. Just as the gods and goddesses of the First Faith are united, so too do people unite against terrible threats. Of course, it doesn't hurt to prepare... So, I'll work extra hard on becoming strong! That way, if she ever comes back, I can give it my all if we try to stop her!"

"It makes me happy that you believe in us so much," you say, pulling him close for a hug. "Thank you for explaining that history to me. You're such a smart, well-spoken boy. Do you know that?" Lifting up his chin, he blushes as you lean down to gently kiss him. As your lips gently meet his, he shivers slightly and eagerly presses back. "I'd like you to learn more, if you can. Don't fall behind on your other readings or prayers, now. Clean yourself up and come down for breakfast, and we'll see Merriam and Kay off. Alright?"

He nods. "Yes, mommy."

You snicker to yourself. "Well, we would be honored to have you for breakfast."

"Honored or not, I'll be joinin' ye!" he laughs. Not long thereafter, the party is assembled around the breakfast table, though noticibly Faye and the three goblins are absent.

"Can't say I've ever broke bread with an elf and a kobold at the same time," Bargum comments.

"You won't have to for long," Kay mutters. Xerro, ignorant, chomps down on his food.

Ben stands up, holding his mug. "Everyone, I know I don't usually do this sort of thing, but I'd like to propose a toast for Merriam and wish her well in Youngwater. Uh, I don't know much about college... less about magic college... but I'm sure she'll do great and make our family proud."

Alex raises his cup. "Hear hear!" The others raise their glasses, as do you, and drink.

As Ben sits down, Merriam gives him a kiss on the cheek that makes him blush slightly. Amber cocks her brow, but otherwise says nothing and continues to work on her eggs.

Several minutes later, Bargum has entered into a story. "So there we were, faced with a pit in front o' us with but a single danglin' rope, and down below we heard some terrible abomination, howlin' and hungry. With a wall o' slime behind us rapidly closin' in, the youngest of us leapt to the rope, but only to his doom."

"Why?" Alex asks, drawn into the story.

"The rope concealed spikes! Grabbin' onto it only made 'em dig into yer hands. He let go and fell to certain death, the poor lad. Our mage cast a bridge spell and we crossed that way. Never trust a rope in a dungeon! That's my lesson o' the day. And poke chests before opening them."

"Everyone should know that one," Amber says. "It's just common knowledge."

You pause as you think about the several chests you've come across in dungeons and ruins and how you opened them without a care. Then you shrug and drink.

Outside, the party gathers to say goodbye to Merriam and Kay. She climbs onto the horse and he slides up behind her. With all of their provisions and equipment, they're ready for the journey and an extended stay.

You walk up to her. "You have the letter that Francis dropped off?" She takes it out. "Good. Remember what we spoke about, Merriam. I'll be coming to check up on you soon." You kiss her hand and nod at Kay. Everyone waves as the two of them ride off towards the road, where they turn left to go north.

Mere moments after they had run off, a small figure emerges from the forest. He rapidly approaches you on tiny legs and looks at first like a tiny pink ball. That's when you realize it is the p'orc druid, Hamlet.

"Oink, oink! You need to help! Oink oink!"

You all look at each other, then back at the squeaking, hopping druid. "What's all this about?"

"It's Jenna, Jenna! She's been kidnapped!"

Ben steps forward, his sense of adventure and heroism (especially when a cute girl is on the line) taking over. "Where? By who?"

"A scary man with an axe!"

You and Ben meet gazes. 'The axe murderer!' you both realize at once. You haven't seen him since he attacked you that night outside this very tower, and you put a curse on him!

"We have to help her! That axe psychopath could chop her to pieces any minute!"

Alex walks up to Hamlet. "Can you take us to them?"

"Oink, oink! Follow me!" The druid runs back into the forest.

"I need to get my armor!" Ben shouts as he runs into the tower. "I'll follow you in a minute!"

'Fantastic,' you think. 'But, at the very least perhaps we can rid the woods of this murderer...'

With the tower secured and locked, you and your party follow Hamlet out into the woods. There, he leads you to a cabin, lonely and secluded, run down and surrounded by chopped wood. Axes and blood can be seen.

"He dragged her in there, talking all kinds of crazy!" Hamlet says. "I could save her myself, but... I don't wanna end up bacon in some madman's breakfast pan, yeah?"

"Let us handle this," you tell him. Bargum takes out his hammer and casts a rune of protection on everyone. Ben draws his sword and shield and Alex grips his holy symbol tightly.

"How do we want to do this?" Amber asks. "Surround the place?"

"I say we barge in," Ben replies.

"And risk the girl gettin' killed? Nae, son," the dwarf shoots his idea down. "How about magic?"

"I'll take care of this," you say, turning invisible and sneaking closer. Looking in through the window, you see Jenna tied up to a wall.

"Sir, I only want to help you," she says, trying to remain calm.

"THEN HELP ME! I can still feel her mark, burnt into my skin, MY VERY SOUL! You can remove it, can't you?! I KNOW YOU CAN! YOU WILL! YOU WILL REMOVE IT, AND THEN I WILL CHOP HER INTO PIECES!" He holds up a large chopping axe which makes Jenna very nervous. "Remove it... CURE ME! DO IT OR I'LL DO YOU LIKE A TREE!"

'I've seen enough,' you think, and you raise your hands. With your shadow power, you augment the casting of your new sleep spell and cast it upon him.

"I'll chop her, she'll fall like a tree! I'll... chop..." He stumbles slightly, dropping his axe. "My axe... chop... chop..."

He then falls straight backwards, through a table, breaking it in half. You turn visible and signal to the others, then Ben busts upon the door. Jenna smiles as she sees him, then Ben looks down at the axe murderer.

"No... it can't be..."

You walk in next to him and look down. Your eyes widen as you see who it is: Jonah, Ben's father's family friend! "Well... that's interesting."

"How?" Ben wonders aloud. "Jonah... He's a good man. He's always helped us at the mill... How could HE be the axe murderer?"

"He's sick," Jenna says. "Sick in the mind. He needs help... Incidentally, so do I. Please."

Ben helps her down and Hamlet jumps into her arms for a hug. Amber drags Jonah up to the wall and props him up. "So he's out cold, eh?"

"For at least eight hours."

"That gives us time to figure out what to do with him."

Alex walks up to him and kneels. "We need to pray for guidance, patience and compassion. We cannot abandon this poor man to his suffering."

"He's a murderer," Ben says coldly. "Living under my family's own roof all this time..."

Amber keeps a hand on her knife. "Sure you don't want to just end him?"

"We can't!" Alex protests. "He deserves a trial. He needs help!"

"He's dangerous," you say, dusting off your hands. "He needs to be behind bars. Then we can talk about getting him spiritual help, but not before."

"Into town, then," Ben says, leaning down to pick him up with Amber. They both put one of his arms around their shoulders. "Uncle Jed will understand... I'll explain it all to him."

As they leave, Jenna gives him a small wave and a smile, and Ben smiles back, until Amber stomps on his foot. They then drag Jonah out of the cabin and leave with Bargum.

Xerro pops his head out. "Is it over?"

Hamlet hops out of Jenna's arms. "Kobold!" He then tackles Xerro and the two get into a scuffle.

"What's that about?" you ask Jenna.

"Old blood feuds between their people. Apparently the kobolds and the p'orcs were once the most terrible of enemies."

"...Really? Huh."

"Thank you for your magic," Jenna compliments you. "I know many spells, but slumber is not one of them. I'll have to remember that for next time!"

"There must've been a way you could've gotten out of there. Can't you turn into animals?"

"Certainly, many. But I felt something was wrong with the man and I wished to help him. Now that he is being taken into town, it is out of my hands. I don't feel very comfortable there."

You look down at her nearly naked form, covered only by a tabbard. "Yes, well... You would attract quite a bit of attention there." Speaking of attracting, Alex is staring at her. You shoo him out the door and tell him that it is rude to stare.

Putting a hand on Jenna's shoulder, you take her outside. "I'm sorry you had to go through with this. I met this murderer once before, a few times actually -- but I did not know who it was. He attacked us the in the dark and I hexed him."

"Yes, he wanted me to remove it for him. A sad fate to be sure, but I do not begrudge you for doing what you did." At that moment, a deer bounds up to her from the woods nearby and she pets it when it moves to nuzzle her hand. "Would you care to join me for a cup of natural tea?"

"I don't see why not," you say, motioning for Alex to come closer. The nervous boy does so and you introduce him to her. "Jenna, this is Alex. Alex, Jenna."

"I saw you that day before," Alex says, shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you again, ma'am."

"So polite! And just the cutest!" She pinches his red cheek. "Follow me. I know just the loveliest cave for a tea party!"

'Now there's a sentence I never thought I would hear...'

Soon, you're sitting in a delightful grotto of a cavern with running water and soft moss all around you, at a table made of roots sprouting upwards from the ground. The herbal tea that Jenna has made herself with all natural ingredients from the forest and her garden is nothing short of absolutely delicious; you've had two cups already. Amusingly enough, a small squirrel is the one who refills your cup when you ask for it.

"I've never seen one so in touch with nature," Alex replies. "Do you worship Agora?"

"I don't name the gods any more than I name the trees, nor do I worship or pray," Jenna says. "I speak to spirits and plants alike; the world is my god. I 'worship' by existing upon it and tending to the small parts of it I can explore."

Alex nods. "I like your philosophy! But I don't know if I could live my life outside."

"It's not so bad," Jenna replies. "There is great freedom out here. No one to judge or shame or doubt you. I wouldn't give that up for any kind of so-called civilization, where things like rumors and social standing and anxieties drag you down."

You speak up. "So I take it you're not from the forest originally? You speak with much conviction about society; that must come from first-hand experience."

"I ran away when I was little girl and never looked back," Jenna replies. "How could I, when there is so much beauty out here?"

Outside the cave, Xerro and Hamlet continue their struggle.

"So what kind of druidic magic do you know? It's not the kind of thing they taught at my schools. Shapeshifting? Animal companions? Plant manipulation?"

"I consider myself an all-or-nothing kind of person," she says. "All forms of nature are beautiful, even when it is brutal and vicious..." Her eyes take on a slightly dark color for a moment.

"Really now?" you say, intrigued. "You seem a bit more on the tree-hugging side of things, if I may be blunt."

"It may seem that way, but nature is still a realm of natural danger. The strong survive and the weak perish; it's simply the order of things. I don't deny this or try to control it; I co-exist with it. So even though I know magic to make things grow and heal, I know magic that can hurt. I could have hurt that axe-wielding man, if I truly wanted to."

"Do you think you could hurt me?" you ask with a sly smile.

"That would depend on whether or not you were asking for it," she replies just as slyly.

Alex blinks his eyes, confused.

"I know we're not your only neighbors. What do you think of the others around us?"

"I think the p'orcs are a good community, though rather insular. I can respect that, however. The folk of Bridge Town are less to my liking. Many others around us, in the woods and to the north, I am more comfortable with."

"Do we make you uncomfortable?"

"On the contrary, I rather like you and your lot in that tower. I'm very comfortable right now." She leans in closer and fixes you with a low stare. "More tea?"

"No thank you, but I am in the mood for dessert if you have any."

"I've more than a few sweets. What do you think is to your liking?" Beneath the table, you feel her bare foot ever-so-slightly brush against your leg. Your own hand finds its way to her bare thigh, feeling her smooth, creamy skin.

"I like sweets!" the naiveAlex says, interrupting the moment. "Are they like candies?"

"Not exactly the same kind of candies," Jenna tells him. She winks at you, waiting to see your next move.

"Alex... Why don't you go play with Xerro and Hamlet? I need to have a private 'chat' with Jenna."

The young boy's shoulders slump. "Aw, I wanted some sweets..."

"Alex. You'll get some later. For now, go on and play."

He slips out from the table and walks towards the cave's entrance. When he is out of sight, Jenna, who had never broken eye contact with you, remarks, "Not into sharing?"

"Not with that one. I'm saving him." Your hand on her thigh slides upwards. "As for sharing... I share lots of things. But never before with a woman of the wilds."

"Then let's make it interesting for you, shall we?" she says with a wry grin, and you suddenly feel vines creeping up your backside, slipping underneath your leather bodice.

Before you can say anything, the girl leaps upon you, taking you to the moss-covered ground. The surprisingly soft surface acts almost like a bed as the two of you grasp at each other, hungry for a taste. Her lips have a curious, almost minty-like quality as they mash against yours, tongues thrusting wildly as clothing gets discarded; she's the easier to undress, having worn much less. You also quickly learn that despite her gentle appearance, she's a fan of biting. First she chews on your lip, then your neck, then other areas as they are exposed by her hands and vines.

"I don't like being tied up," you warn as the vines begin to wrap around your arms and legs.

"Then you shouldn't have willingly walked into the spider's web!" she gleefully declares. They tighten and pull your limbs, not painfully, to spread you apart. "And now it's time for the spider to feast..." She licks her lips.

You smirk. 'True to her word, this'll be... interesting...'

>Later...

You lie on the moss, sweaty and naked, alongside Jenna. Who knew that making a druid reach climax would cause a bed of flowers to spring up? But they add to the comfort. The well-endowed druid snuggles up against you as you both relax under a blanket of woven leaves.

"Mmmm... I like you," she says. "But don't get the wrong idea... I don't do 'commitment' if that's what you're looking for."

You assure her, "Oh, quite the contrary. I like variety in my life; keeps things spicy."

She giggles. "Well, that was certainly 'spicy'... So tell me then, if this was not your full intention, why did you come here?"

"To learn, originally. I need spells and allies alike." You smile at her. "I'd like to think you're an ally now."

"Oh, most definitely. But you'll have to do me a favor sometime and let me take that young man for some spelunking in this cave sometime."

"I think he would like that... You've an eye for him?"

"I've been looking for someone special for a very important task, and I think he may just be what I need. He'll need to be tested, of course, but he seems like the kind to rise to a challenge."

"He certainly is."
>>

New Spells! Druidry

>Manipulate Plants: Casting this spell allows you to bend the plants around you to your will. You can cause vines to animate, branches to grasp, shrubs to move themselves, gardens to conceal something you wish hidden and all manner of things depending on what is around you. This spell will not work in an area of no plantlife, and will not allow you to cause plantlife to spontaneously appear. When you are done manipulating them, they go back to their original function and shape.

>Swarm of Insects: Casting this spell causes a swarm of biting, stinging insects to descend upon a target and targets nearby, though you can designate people nearby to be ignored. This swarm will unceasingly harass and attack whomever you desire until they are destroyed or roughly three minutes has passed, at which time the swarm will disperse. The swarm can take the form of bees, ants, spiders and more depending on the predominant forms of life in the area; you can also prefer one form of insect over another.

After dressing yourself, you part ways from Jenna and promise to visit again soon for another cup of tea. Outside you find Alex trying to mediate between the p'orc and the kobold, though diplomacy seems unlikely to succeed.

"There must be common ground!" Alex insists.

"The only thing I'll agree with him on is how stupid he is!" Hamlet declares.

"Yeah!" Xerro says, then blinks. "HEY!"

Violence is about to break out again when you walk up and pick them both up by the back of the neck. "Okay, that's enough. Hamlet, run along to Jenna."

The little druid drops down and scurries back into the cave.

"Xerro woulda had him!" the kobold insists. "Let Xerro at him!"

"We need to head back," you tell him. "I got enough out of this little trip."

Alex walks alongside you, his smile nearly infectious. "Did you get any sweets?"

"Oh, yes," you think, licking your lips. "Definitely. Nectar and honey."

"I wish I had some..."

You pat him on the head. "Don't worry, you'll get plenty of sweets in the future."

"I can't wait!"

You suddenly stop, not far from the road, when you feel a strange sensation, like a buzzing in your head. Putting a hand to your forehead, you grit your teeth and try to make sense of it.

Alex grabs your hand in worry. "Mary? What is it?"

A strong sense that, up until now, you have never used tells you what it is: divination. Specifically, someone trying to divine your location! Focusing, you reject the magic eyes that are attempting to discern your whereabouts and cast them back to whence they came... northeast of this spot. You do not know who, or why, but someone northeast was trying to find you...

The sensation fades. "It's nothing," you assure him. "Just a momentary headache."

Though he is concerned, he nods and walks back to the tower with you, hand-in-hand. You send him off to his studies with a peck on the cheek before deciding what to do about this scrying situation.

They tried, and failed. While you don't know why they were trying to find you, you can guess that it isn't good. They may try again, or use other means...

You narrow your eyes. Having already used your daily spell of invisibility, and deciding that time and distance are both factors in successfully seeking out whoever is trying to find you, you instead elect to transform into a raven. You perch on the windowsil and look out of the tower before taking off into the sky.

After all, blending into the forest as an animal is just as good as being invisible.

Flying northeast, you keep your eyes peeled. At first, you don't see anything, only more forest -- then you spot something strange, something that stands out.

Circling overhead, you land upon a branch. Looking down into a grove, you see a golem of stone, covered in bits of green moss, grass and twigs. You have seen this golem before... with Faye! You remember it well. This golem was in the service of a merchant before it wandered off. Now you see it here, sitting down upon a tree stump, very still.

'Strange... Was this the source of the scrying? But if it was, why? He's wandered far from where I saw him originally.'

Perching on a branch, you look down at the golem. He sits very still, until by chance a butterfly floats by on its light yellow wings.

"Hello, I am Solomon," the golem suddenly and surprisingly speaks. He holds out a hand and the butterfly lands on a large finger. The golem's voice is male, soft and quiet. "What is your name? Are you my creator?"

The butterfly, being what it is, does not reply. After a moment, it flies away. "Goodbye. It was nice meeting you."

'Well, that's curious,' you think. 'Now it's speaking? It didn't do that before.'

The golem's head scans the area, then looks up and sees you in the tree. "Hello, I am Solomon," he greets you, thinking you are just a bird. "What is your name? Are you my creator?"

"Mary," you reply. "Do you know me? Do you remember me?"

"Are you my creator?"

"No, I'm afraid not. But I have seen you before."

"I do not remember. I woke up this morning."

"Woke up...? You mean..." You approach him and look into his hollow eyes. "Are you... alive?"

"I should hope so."

"No, I mean, are you thinking and acting independently? How can this be?"

"I do not know. I woke up this morning."

You cross your arms. "I sensed a divination attempt on me coming from this direction. Do you know if that was you?"

"I attempted to learn where my creater was, and so I tried to learn about the most powerful mage in this region. Unfortunately, I learned nothing..."

'I am the most powerful spellcaster in this region?' you think with a swell of pride. 'Well... Then again, perhaps his range is not so far. Perhaps he meant, the NEAREST mage. Which would be me.'

"I did not make you, but I am here. Why do you call yourself Solomon?"

"I do not know. It is my name."

"Did you give it to yourself?"

"I do not know."

'He is rather simple-minded, but then again, he just 'woke up' as it were... Hmm... What to do with this one?'

"Hmm... Follow me, Solomon."

"Okay. Where are we going?"

"To see a friend."

"I would like to have a friend. That sounds nice."

It takes some time to lead him through the forest, during which time he asks many curious questions. Eventually you find the road, and when he sees it he asks, "Is this made out of others like me?"

"No, not like you. Rocks that cannot move or talk like you can."

"That is sad. Why can they not?"

"Well... Come along, it isn't far." He follows you up to the tower.

When he sees it, he approaches it and places his hand on its outside. "Hello, my name is Solomon. What is your name?"

"The tower cannot speak, Solomon."

"Is this my father?"

"No, it..." You put a hand on your head. "Solomon, for now let's assume you are the only rock that can talk, okay?"

"Okay. Can trees talk? I would like to talk to a tree, they seem nice."

"Just come along this way."

Though it is very difficult, you manage to get him into the tower and down into the keep, where you make him wait on the teleportation circle. In the blink of an eye, you take him to Francis' tower. The mage, who is actually in his basement, jumps in surprise.

"Gah! Would it hurt to send me a warning so I can get the place ready for you?!"

"Francis. This is Solomon." The golem waves at him. The archmage looks past you at him.

"Hello, I am Solomon."

"Oh, hey, I know this one."

You blink. "What? You do?"

"Yeah, some merchant paid me a lot of money to make him serve him. But he didn't pay the full price so I didn't make it last."

"Well, that explains a few things," you mutter. "I think this golem has gained sentience. What do you know of this?"

"Spontaneous sentience? It's not unheard of. Sometimes magic artifacts, when left alone, change in curious ways. Magic is magic, after all, so you can't always predict what will happen. It's pretty special, though."

"I am special? Are you my creator?" Solomon asks.

"Nope, I don't make golems, sorry."

A few minutes later, you and Francis are standing by one of his windows as you watch Solomon outside. The golem picks up a large stone, demonstrating his ability to do so with ease, and he moves it over to a nearby piles of other large stones he has made. When this is done, he places his hands on the surface of a large rock and begins to change the stone, merging the rocks together. In this way he creates a small stone hut with his magic.

"I've never seen a golem quite like him," Francis remarks. "He didn't seem to be able to do any of that when he was here last."

"Something must have happened to him," you agree. "Someone gave him this power... or some thing, perhaps. He didn't just 'wake up' with these abilities."

Outside, Solomon continues his work, shaping his hut before commanding several plants and grass to spring up and grow along its exterior. This seems to please him and gives the hut a more natural and aesthetically pleasing appearance. He walks inside, out of view.

"Well, he seems comfortable," Francis says. "Think I should keep him here for a while?"

"I'm not sure. It may be a good idea."

"Whatever you decide, let me know. Did Merriam leave for Youngwater?"

You follow his change of topic. "She did, yes. With Kaylessa. They should be there by the end of the night, or tomorrow morning. You're sure you made that letter to my specifications?"

"It'll work," he assures you. "In the meantime, I've learned something interesting."

"Oh?"

"Apparently, a moon elf appeared in the court of the high elven royal family up north." You stop and stare at him. He looks up at you with a raised brow. "Something of a coincidence that this happened not long after you specifically asked me about moon elves, isn't it?"

"What happened?"

"She made a few threats and disappeared. Apparently she said something to the effect of, 'if the elves of this world will not serve me, I will destroy them all.' Or something. They weren't interested in buying what she was selling, so she kidnapped the royal high elven princess. The entire northern kingdom is in an uproar."

Your eyes stray aside as you think about this news. ' I thought she detested these surface elves. Does this mean she failed to find other moon elves?'

"Sirena," Francis gets your attention again. "Anything you'd like to share with me?"

After a length explanation, Francis sits back in thought. "Hm. This could work to our advantage, you know."

"How?"

"She's kidnapped the princess of the high elf royal family! Imagine the rewards for whoever rescues her? It could even be enough to clear your name."

"That's true enough," you admit. "But still, how would one even go about it?"

"Getting to the moon is no triffling thing," he nods. "And learning how to defeat her, perhaps even moreso... One thing's for certain, you can't take her on alone again. You'll need help."

"And you'll be there to help me."

"Well..."

"Francis!"

"Right, right, of course. But we can't go about it blindly. If we intend to take her down, we'll need one hell of a plan, a good team, LOTS of magic and magic equipment, and a lot of other resources that don't come off the top of my head."

"See what you can dig up about moongates. If we can replicate that ancient magic, we can travel to the moon."

"Easier said than done. That kind of magic is lost, and when I say lost, I don't mean 'under someone's couch lost', I mean, 'nobody knows how to do it anymore' kind of lost."

"What of the night elves and their lunar mages?"

"They'd be the closest to knowing how... That's a good place to start looking."

"Hm... You know, I remember once meeting a lunar mage who hates elves. Maybe I could dig him up, too."

Francis shrugs. "You never know, right?"

You currently have four revenants: Ir'as the desert priestess, Komortha the northerner, Alicia the (memory-wiped) dark elf, Perilynth (the original revenant, now with her head back).

As it is within your power to return them to life, they have served you faithfully, but they have also done nothing to demonstrate their faith in you. This is because they haven't been given any serious tasks yet; they have only been assigned simple tasks around your citadel.

Your revenants present you with a few opportunities. You can send them on missions that could further your goals, and if you are worried about their true intentions you can send servitors to spy on them as they do, or other beings such as wraiths. These missions could be anything from gathering resources, intelligence, components for rituals, kidnapping people, etc.

If these revenants perform capably, you can see fit to reward them however you please. If they fail, you can drain them of memories and turn them into more simple servants, like your current drow, who knows no magic. If they fail and you feel they deserve worse punishment, you can turn them into wraiths; these unique named wraiths are more powerful and can be called upon at any time.

What would you like to do with your current revenants?

Through use of magic to mask their appearance, you give them specific instructions to gather information on the surrounding regions. Perilynth, Ir'as and Komortha are ideal for this task, and prepared to prove themselves for your favor.

That leaves Alicia, the mind-wiped drow. This also raises another topic: her sister, the master thief. As you drained all of her memories, you know well that her sister, Supremia, is going to pull off a heist soon in the lands of the high elves.

You know just about everything there is to know about Supremia, giving you a distinct advantage if you were to enter into dealings with her. But just how should you go about this?

>Forget the sister and her heist
>Use Alicia as a tool to get Supremia under your control

Here's how the heist is going down:

A masked ball is being thrown at a lavish high elven family's castle, invitation only. The Silverwind family is known for possessing a number of valuable works of art, but the goal of the heist is to steal a diamong ring, ancient and incredibly rare, from the hand of Lady Silverwind herself. On the night of the ball, Supremia plans to use a body double of her husband, Lord Silverwind, while she distracts the husband. This double will remove the ring by use of a secret password they have divined (which exists between the lord and lady for this very kind of thing; their passcode will be their undoing). Upon removal of the ring, they have a planned distraction in the form of an attack on the manner by werewolves, the leader of whom Supremia has a pact with. As the ball takes place on the night of a full moon, they will make the perfect distraction to allow the thieves to vanish under the chaos. They plan to fence the ring to a collector for no less than one-hundred thousand gold pieces, split the profits and pay off the werewolf lord with tracts of forest land for him and his pack to inhabit.

Now, the question becomes: how do you want to ruin it for them?

>Warn the lord and lady in advance of the party
>Go to the party and save the ring in front of all

Why not both? We can warn the lords to be in alert, while offering ourselves as werewolves hunters
>>
>>1579361
actually backing this instead. specifically state that we're werewolf hunters and we saw them along the way
>>
>>1579361
Botching the escape is enough by itself to fuck her up. Let the Lord and lady think they did it themselves, then we can come in to save Supremia. If we reveal ourselves as hunters, it hurts our case to the thief.
>>
>>1579406
this is so good
>>
I suppose the real factor in the situation is how much we choose to directly reveal/involve ourselves or work through proxies.

The end goal is to get the thief to work for us by having her be captured and then presenting a way out for her. She may not be as inclined to do so if she learns we were the one who foiled her heist, as >>1579406 points out.

We could do this in a number of ways, one of them being that we never have any direct involvement/contact with any of the individuals in question except the thief when the time comes to save her; we have built up a fair network of allies and servants by now, whom we can deceive/command in all manner of ways to assist us getting to our end goal without anyone being any the wiser.

Of course, being known as the one who foiled the plot could also enhance our prestige and earn favors with the high elven family. The other side of that same coin being that we could also have one of our allies/servants gain that prestige and through them wield the favors that come with it, without having the glory ourselves (just the benefits that come with it).

With that in mind, how do we want to proceed?
>>
Maybe Meriam or Kay can benefit from the info
>>
>>1579469
we could split our allies, the most heroic deal with the werewolves, Ben Amber...
we and our twin could win a favor on the high elves, telling them about the heist
and to gain the thief "trust" we can transform ourselves into her sister, talk about winning the throne, put the mark on her and then betray her
>>
>>1579469
The main point is to minimize our appearance until the arrival at Supremia's cell. We have to appear as her dark savior. We can send some of our agents to fuck up or at least stall the werewolves without pointing back to us.
>>
>>1579531
>and to gain the thief "trust" we can transform ourselves into her sister, talk about winning the throne, put the mark on her and then betray her

That's not a bad idea.
