Bit too late there good sir
"I am Ferdinand Von Brant, Son of Fredreich Von Brant."

Pride fills your lungs as you let out your name. Your Great-great Grandfather had been elevated to a noble after the unification war to make this glorious country.

The officer lazily nod and wrote your name.

"Yes, yes. Welcome to our great army. You will make the Emperor and our country proud." He drop the uniform bag in front of you, uncaring of your status. "Next!"

"Such insolence!", you whispers. "But no matter! Time will come when the Von Brant will rise again"

Calming yourself , you quickly snatched your uniform bag and went in line with these peasants. Making a ruckus here will not only shamed you but also denied the glory that Von Brant needed.

You Choose:
>To be an infantry. To capture the enemy for the glory of the empire."
>The Navy. Grandfather always say that denying the enemy supply is the best strategy.
>The newly formed Airforce. The great mind of the Empire could create such machine of miracle. God bless them

The Navy.

While you heard the allied kingdom across the sea used to have the largest navy fleet, you are confident that the Empire will crush them with their might Walkers and Boat.

You followed the navy line as people entered the bus. Chatters of excitement and rumors of beautiful foreign prostitutes fills the air.

It sickens you somehow to see your countrymen act like animals and you crammed with them.

The black metal box closes as it had it's fill and soon fumes began to excrete from it. Few windows are opened to let the cool air in as they are used to the black air of this country. Sounds of spluttering and shaking of the buss did not deterred the excitement of these young men

Some are silent,Some talk to the person nearby, some just look outside in melancholy.

(Seems everyone starts to doze off. Should i continue next time or just keep moving?)

You look outside the window, where yellow fields of grains and green trees moves. The clear blue sky with warm sun above while women and children waves at you as they harvest their grains. The sight of young siblings playing on the field and majestic mountain stood still on the background.

Nostalgia slowly creep inside you, infesting you with your mother bitter smile, your father's proud pat and your sister's worried hug when the letter of recruitment came at your door. Stiff bow of your butler Elbert as you left with your clothes sack and your family's saber.

you must do this...for the Empire...For your Noble lineage...F-for your precious family...

rubbing your misty eyes, you grip yourself and tried to endure the early homesickness.

"Hey!", Suddenly an energetic voice sprung beside you.

A messy blond haired boy grin at you.

"Not crying are ya? Cheer up man. We are paid to kill those blasphemers for ruining God's creation! and the- hey! is that a real sabre?"

"Yes...yes it is. Ferdinand Von Brant, Son of Fredreich Von Brant."
You sigh and let out your hand.

"A...noble?", he zoned a bit before accepting your handshake...with a strong grip."God be good. I am Garbriel Fisher, Son of Bert Fisher and of course, a fisherman!"

No wonder he's strong but his humor is terrible. He reminded you of your neighbor's dog. Finally he let go of your slightly red hand.

"So, How's being a noble treated you? Hand seems weak though. Can i touch your sabre?"

"Being a noble is fine and no you cant touch it. It's a family heirloom"

"Bummer. You nobles are really uptight huh? So...Which ships you are going? Heard they finally have the Anti-beast battleship built. Can you believe it? Those blasphemers meddling with God's creation can finally be dealt with. I want to join them".

(this is not a route-lock. Just Ferd's opinion)

"Ya goddamn right it is!", Gabriel happily slap your back like you two are old buddies,"Thought you will join the transport ship or sumthin. You know, why dont we stick together?"

You narrow your eyes at him and he met yours.

"You just want to touch my saber don't ya?", It was a bit of an effort to keep your tone serious

"W-wha? ye-i mean no-i... Yer joking are ya?" He caught your smirk and before you know it, both you and Gabriel break into laughter with him playfully punching your shoulder.

"I got you didt I?", almost everyone is watching but it's pretty hard to stifle your laugh

"N-hehe-nah ya didnt", he isnt ashamed of being watched.

"Sure Gabriel. Let's stick together!". He take a bit to recover before he let out a hand and you shook it again.

"Friends called me Gab or Gabby"

"Von Brant", you replied

"Aww, cant i call you Freddy or Ferd?"

"Only if you buy me dinner first"

Both of you break into laughter again as the scenery changed and your destination is near.

----

"ALRIGHT GENTS! Move it! Move it!"

Several officers are already coming to welcome the recruits. Not even your mother could scream like them as all of you were formed into a group and quickly led into the barracks.

The air is thick with salt and you can almost feel them on your tongue but you cant see the ocean nor the beach, just grass and sands.

The officers led your group to a wooden barrack where neatly placed bunk-bed are ready to be used.

You scan around until you finally see your new friend already approaching his target.

With the sly move of a noble you quickly rushed there before he mark his bed.

"Yo Gabby! Dibs on the top bunk", and quickly launched your bag. Close to hitting someone but it land perfectly on the middle of the top bunk"

"Damnit Von Brunt! I was gonna...place my bag on the bottom bunk anyways" Smug grin on his face.

"Shut up G-"

"ALRIGHT LADIES! HERE'S THE DRILL"

Officers quickly entered the bunk and everyone drop what they are doing.

"We are your instructors. I am Herr Edburd and this is Herr Kord and Komandant Rosch." The scarred instructor point at his colleague, fierce looking guy and bearded guy respectively."

"We are going to make you into a great sailor! Starting from now, you are to listen to your instructors and answer 'yes sir!' . Understood?"

"YES SIR!"

"Damn right, now lets get walking!"

"But Herr Edburg, we arent fini-" Glasses quickly went quiet as the instructors marched on him.

"What was that sailor?"

"N-no sir..."

"WHAT DID I JUST SAY?"

"Lets get walking?" You can see cold sweat on him and hope you didnt get this treatment as three grown and hardened instructors look at him with eyes of rage.

"I SAID TO ANSWER WITH YES SIR!"

"y-yes sir"

"WHAT IS THAT BUZZING NOISE HERR KORD"

"I DONT KNOW HERR EDBURG! MAYBE THE RECRUIT IS MUTE. ARENT YOU RECRUIT?"

"Y-YES SIR!" Oh boy, glasses's gonna cry is he?

"GOOD! ONE MORE SHIT LIKE THIS AND ILL ADD A MILE FOR ALL OF YOU! NOW LETS WALK!"

The recruits quickly follow the instructors with a jog.

And if this is a walk, you dont know what running is...It's been a few hour since you 'walk'

You keep up with your pace and control your breathing. Few people seems to falter but not you...nor Gabriel it seems. He's just as happy as he can be. The air slowly thicken with the smell of the sea

Finally you can see a slab of metal... No, that's more than just slab of metals...That's a building! Gloriously crafted in the perfect vision of the Empire. You could see soft white steam coming out from one of it's chimney and the sea behind it.

"This ,recruits, will be your training ground." Instructor Edburg point."This is where your blood, sweat and tears will be shed in the next 9 weeks. Welcome to 'Blut Harbor' "

Few patches of rust on this colossal building and few construction crane working tirelessly. Almost as large as the Emperor's castle itself and it's clanking voice smothered the calm sound of the ocean. Truly the embodiment of the Empire's naval power.

"But not today! Get back to your barrack and unpacked your things!"

Few grumbles but a stare from Herr Edburg quickly shut them up.

Then began the march back to the barrack.

----

"That was a refresh walk and that sweet smell of the sea too! Ahh, i missed Mama's Herring soup", Gabriel stretch.

"Already homesick?" you smile bitterly, you missed Mother too.

"eh...a bit. I am going to wash myself up. Later", he wave with a towel on his arm

Guess it's time to increase your social circle, as Father used to say.

The brown haired man carefully unpacked his things from his leather luggage, which is mostly books.

"Need a help?", A small smile should suffice for first impression

"I-oh!-err...sure..." He answer meekly as his eyes inspect you, up and down. You felt a goosebumps in s few instance.

Drowning this feeling, you quickly help him. Inside was just dozen spares of clothing, few glasses and the rest are covered in books.

History of the Empire

The basic of Walkers

The Manual of Aeronautics

Mechanics of Steam-Engineering.

"So you like to read huh?", These books are not for your average readers and you recognized some of them.

"O-oh yes! I wish to be a teacher...before the recruitment..." He whispers on the last sentence.,"A-anyway, i havent introduced myself. An-ehem- Albert Borsh. nice to meet you". He bow.

"Ferdinand Von Brant, Son of Fredreich Von Brant." You offer a handshake and it took him few seconds before he hastily grab them. Compare to Gabriel, his hand is much more fragile and softer...must be a scholar hands.

"Are you going to to join the Anti-beast fleet?", You resume unpacking the books

"I...dont know. I wish to join the engineering class...much more safer", His meek personality is beginning to irk you.

Those books remind you of something.

"Hey Albert, have you seen the Duke's Stormwalker? That machine is a beast!" Another row of book tucked out before you realized Albert staring at you with eyes that could power the lighthouse for years.

"Y-You mean the Imperial Family Walkers? The Humanoid walker with thick metal plate, canons and razor grip? I YEARNED for that!"

Dear Lord! What have you gotten yourself into...

"Not only the allies cannot penetrate the thick armor but also the metal claws of fabricated animals. I heard the Skirmish with Russian that the Storm walkers
defeated the largest fabricated Bear:The Ursa major!"

"Right...and how about the empire walkers?"

"Are you even an Empire citizen?" He pout

Rude...

"the basic Bi-pedal tanks are the staple of the Great Empire forces, capable of evading the mines and trenches while shooting the enemy due to their incredible height!"

He took a breather while you are almost done with the book.

"Dont forget about the Hekules Transport Walker! With 8 legs, they could carry soldiers to the front line AND destroy the enemies in their path. Those elegant steam technology in it's efficiency and size. Imagine thousands of soldiers safely transported to the front-lines!"

You are done with your part, now you unpack what Albert should have unpacked

"If we are invaded, our farmer tractors can be transformed into a war vehicles! Those damned Allies cant even compete with our technology and superiority!"

He wipe the exhilaration from his face the continues

"Let me tell you about the newly formed Air Force!"

Lord save me...
>>
>>1541514

"The Air Force have successful inventions, especially the newly made Behemoth Airship capable of bombardment and air superiority! With plenty of helium gas, propellers and elite soldiers, they could even destroy the Legendary Leviathans! Men with wings and planes can deploy from there"

You are done unpacking his stuff while he kept ranting

"Last but not least, our naval Walkers! Cruisers and battle cruisers made for both land and seas! Their long legs prevent any blockades and their firepower could eliminate cities. 13 main engines with claws to salvage and repair themselves! Oh glory to the Empire walkers!"

You wave at shirtless Gabriel with his wet towel on his shoulders and he waves back

"Cant you see the Glory in Walker technology? I had heard rumors of electricity engines and machines being developed...but those are just rumors...so,err"

He finally went out of his head and realized you are done with his stuff unpacked.

"Oh! I am so so sorry Fredin-"

"Von Brant"

"Von Brant! I was just...excited bout walkers"

"Yeah, I can see that...so, isnt being below deck more dangerous? I mean you could get locked and drowned."

"I....",Oh! he went meek again," I mean, I am not good with many people so....i guess it's better...?"

You shrug

"ALRIGHT 10 Minutes before light out!", the instructor shouted.

"Welp, better get going. Later Albert"

"T-thanks again Von Brant"

Week1:

This is hell.

They woke you up before the sun and made you run 30 laps around the base. Then push-up, then pull up, the another...then another. Your arms and leg burns

Grandfather told you a story about this with a smile. He told you to pace yourself and control your breath.

Then they told you to carry scraps of metals and empty ammunition the size of a tree.

Thankfully you and Gabriel carry them like normal sacks of potatoes but the others.... Albert bruised his knees while some just collapse, like the noble there.

Blood and few nails flows on the barrack showers. Foods are just mashed potatoes, questionable meat, vegetables and freshly squeezed juice. You missed Mother's Bratwursts soup.

You are thankful Grandfather put some exercise discipline when you were little.

Week 2:

Another hellish week but you are used to it...almost all of the recruits are used to it.

Waking up became automatic, lifting became easier, blood and screams no longer seeps from scrapes or punished feet.

You can feel some muscles slowly developing from your lanky arms and Stamina.

Gabriel is still the same while Albert gained few noticeable muscles.

>Gain Perk [endured]

You, as a noble, hear the calling of being a leader so you took the Tactics and Leadership class. Gabriel took Deep fighter and Gunner while Albert took Engineer and Medic Class.

Instructor Rosch will be your instructor for both classes.

>Tactic class

He taught you about the historical tactics of the Empire, even the failures ones. SO much theories and planning needed, especially in a naval fleet. How to deal with water beasts and using the walkers to their efficiency.

Only you and the noble are excited, the others almost snooze most of the class.

>Gained perk [Sharp Wits]
Use this per thread to re-roll wisdom saving or to create new tactics in battle

>Leadership Class

Morale can keep a soldier steady but charisma can change the tide of the battle. You learned how to lead, negotiate and comfort your squads. It's the psychological damage that are invisible and dangerous.

You and the noble are still the only one who understand the basic of this leadership class. You can almost feel the rivalry between you and him.

>week 5&6
This week you are trained to move inside the ship and how to create an efficient teamwork.

Finally, the recruits are able to visit the waited 'Blut Harbor' and Albert is giddy enough to quickly lined up.

You are picked into a random party of recruits and march toward your simulation training.

>Week 5

Running in tight spaces is pretty difficult, especially with other people bumping you. The corridors are small and humid salty air almost choked you. Few vomited after the first day.

This building creaks and groaned and sometimes you can feel the moving with the waves. It feels like at any moments, they would collapse under their weight, bringing everyone with it.

But you carried on and learned how to efficiently evade running recruits. Gabriel and Albert are dong fine this week

>Week 6

Now you are stationed in a loading dock scenario, where you have to move boxes after boxes with 5 crew-mate. Two of your 'crew-mates' clumsily hurt themselves with one tended them, you and the rest kept moving the boxes...Until an alarm blared and water suddenly rushed in.

You panicked as water rises....
better save yourself first...
Boxes? they might float...
You quickly grab the floating boxes and tell the guy working next to you to hold them too...
Shamed the other three didnt make it as they are swallowed by the raging water.

As the alarm receded and the water flushed out. The drowned crew-mates grumbled with their soaked uniforms while you and the other guy are only half wet. A mediocre progress as the instructor point out how you could save all your crew-mates

(Decent rolls)

>Week 7

The anti beast class by Instructor Edburg and you sat down with Gabriel.

There are a lot of classifications about fabricated animals: From Feline size to colossal. The most known colossal are the Leviathans. The poor whale produced hydrogen to lift themselves while the riders strap themselves below the whales like a parasite.

You take notes of the known underwater beasts:

>Dolphin Scouts
Recognized by their blue fins and fitted with waterproof cameras in their eyes, they are able to capture enemy movements and can destroy ships if strapped to a bomb.
The best way to deal with them is using bait or mines. Capturing them can gain intel if the operation succeed

>Sabotage sharks
Using their rotating sharp teeth, they are able to make hole on the bottom of the ship. Sonars can easily detects these cretins and few underwater harpoons can kill them.

>Swordfish Salvos
Perfect missiles that can penetrate armor and usually strapped with explosives. They can be caught but they are difficult to shoot down.

>Kraken
Dangerous colossal giant class that could tear down battleships. Tentacles are your primary target if you are on deck and try to avoid where their head is.

Evade them at all costs if you are alone, in person or in ship.

>Week 8

There are few people here in the Advance tactics and of course, the noble is here.

Today's lesson is about maneuver strategy used to take down enemy ships and beasts. The Ironclad battleship usually became bait themselves and use their claw to immobilized beasts while the other cruiser circle these beast and shoot them down.

Other strategy was for two ships to grab beasts and tear the in half. Although it is dangerous, it is effective.

You are stating to understand the anti-beast maneuver while the noble scratch his head.

>Week 9

"ALRIGHT SAILORS!", Instructor Edberg shouted."It's time for a battle simulation! Two group will manned a training cruiser. One should defend objective while the other captured it"

This time, Instructor Rosch continues."Which one of you will be the one to lead the glory and which one of you will be severely punished for failures? Captains, step in front!"

You stepped forward before anyone else. All those classes are invested with you being an officer rather than being a crew.

" Ferdinand Von Brant, ready to take command", Pride fills your voice and Instructor Rosch nod while the noble leer at you.

"Adolf Von Wasser, Ready to lead you to glory!" He salute, tone filled with seriousness and vigilance.

"two noble being a captain? Man, hope they arent measuring their dicks in this contest"
"Shush, he said he's a Wasser!"
The recruits began to mumble before the instructor shut them up.

A Von Wasser?! That is a high noble famed with naval expertise and commended by the previous Emperor. What is he doing here?

"Good! Now take these files and do what you must. Tomorrow, the training began!", The Instructor then left with both you and Adolf staring at each other then move to meet .

"Von Wasser", you smile with a handshake

"Von Brant, was it?", he too smile while accepting your handshake. The room became tense as two noble gave out a chilling aura.

"For the Emperor and Fatherland, von Wasser", You gave your smuggest grin and glare at his blue eyes,"May the best man win."

His hand went stiff for a bit before returning his grip...which is not that strong. What's with high nobles and their soft, fragile hands...

"Yes, may the best man win", and he quickly left before you could say anything else. You just shrug in response and quickly went to your friends.

"Pretty ballsy moves there, Von Brant", Gabriel smacked your shoulder

"A-are you sure you're up to this?", Albert ask softly.

"Yes friends, the Von Brant always up for a challenge" the brown folder rest gently on your hand," Lets open this thing"

All three of you went to the cafeteria for breakfast and tables. Munching the hard bread, you opened the folder and many files regarding your upcoming battle

>Position:Defense
-You must defend a merchant boat with your cruisers.

This is going to be interesting....

"A cruiser? They are quiet fast due to their size but they do not have strong hulls",Albert analyzed," I am willing to join your crew as an engineer captain", He let out a giggle.

"Hey! I am willing to join your too my friend. I am specialized as assault squad",Gabriel quickly interject

So now your crew consist of:

Captain: Ferdinand Von Brant

Engineering: Albert Borsh
Perk: [Mecha-nut]
Knowing the inner working of walkers, he could increase the speed of the ship by over-driving it

Assault: Gabriel Fisher
Perk:[Fisherman]
Can swim faster and dive deeper tha usual sailors. Good for silent assaults or boarding scenario.

Second mate (Navigator)

Gabriel brought you two across the hall, excited as a puppy playing fetch but it was a nice serene trip before the upcoming storm. You flip through the profile quickly:

Hartmut von Kurtz

Note: He has a talent for management, a potential for first mate

Karl August
Second Mate
Note: Remind me of you. He shine in the ways of old histories and tactics

Horst Griff
Third Mate
Note: Very freckly but a wildcard. He raise the new time record by crashing the lifeboat through the barriers.

Suddenly you felt multiple strong slap on your shoulder.

"there's the guy! Get him Captn!", Boy! he sure is excited.

It's the dark haired guy with sharp eyes...sharp golden eyes.

"Hey!", you wave at him,"Are you Falk?"

He nod

"Wanna join my crew as a gunner?"

he nod

"Not much of a talker are ya?"

He nod

You shrug and two of you shake hands. How simple the world could be sometimes.

Before you left, he said something.

"Von Wasser already recruit Dargo. Better get on your feet"

Damn! he's even to the point but his advice is sound. Von Wasser is recruiting! Better hurry...

"T-that was pretty cool speech,Von Brant", Albert smile

"Yeah man, pretty awesome. no wonder yer a noble", He slap your back...a bit hard.

You covered your blush and increase your speed, hoping that the two friends didnt see it.

Here is the Pier and...there are boat. Lot's and lots of different size and shape.

"Hartmut, give me your opinion of creating a great fleet"

"Yes captain. Since we are on defensive, the optimal will be:

>2 cruiser
I could control the defensive ship while you take the offense ship. This way one can keep the merchant safe while other take the fire or defeat the enemy.

>Offensive Ship
Crew:
Captain: Ferdinand Von Brant

Engineering: Albert Borsh
Perk: [Mecha-nut]
Knowing the inner working of walkers, he could increase the speed of the ship by over-driving it (Increase knot speed for 2 turns)

Assault: Gabriel Fisher
Perk:[Fisherman]
Can swim faster and dive deeper than usual sailors. Good for silent assaults or boarding scenario. (you can sent assault squads to infiltrate the enemy ship)

Second mate (Navigator):Karl August
Second Mate
Perk: [Mind of Old]
Studying every old tactics, Empire or Allies. He could track where the enemy would go ( for 3 turns, he could predict the actions of the enemy)

Take Karl, Gabriel and Albert with you. A hit and run will be better or if you are bold enough, you can use the ship's claw to board the enemy's.

>Defensive Ship

Hartmut von Kurtz
First Mate
Perk:[Empire Management]
Born to an old aristocrats, he learned how to manage efficiently from a young age (Passive increase in fleet Teamwork)

Falk Dresden
Gunner
Perk:[falcon eye]
His trained eyes could calculate the the exact position on where the firing trajectory will land (increase ship's aim for 3 rounds)

Erwin Dwurf
Carpenter
Perk:[Quick fix]
Studying the art of carpentry, Erwin can quickly fix holes as long as there are spare metal (ship gain 3 health and he usually have 2 scraps stored)

The defensive should at all time, keep the enemy at bay and survive long enough to send the merchant fleet on their goal. That is why i propose bringing Falk and Erwin with me.

>Assemble an efficient team, Find captains that are aggressive and tactically adept for the other three cruisers. Have him go with Gabriel. His picks are to be immediately accepted into our force.

and

>Study the Map and Karl Study the trade route, Have karl study the trade route the have him plot a different one as Wesser will assume we will follow the route. You find the places in the map that would put your fleet at an advantage and Wesser's at a disadvantage incorporate the information we found new course avoid any spots where we are at a disadvantage lest it is necessary.

Didn't say we had to stick with the trade route only get the merchant boat to it's destinations. Can we assign the Albert to the merchant ship? need it to keep up with the cruisers.

Also have karl captain another cruiser in our fleet. he can tactics better than us. Hermutz put into communications so he can better coordinate and manage the fleet.
>>
>>1548159
Modify, Gabriel for Falk

Wesser will most likely keep his fleet together better to outshoot them than engage up close.
>>
>>1548186

Sorry ta burst yer bubble dude but Notable captains or crews are already recruited by Wesser.

The Merchant ship is not in our control. You can move your cruiser freely but you cant control the merchants. If Albert is placed there, you cannot easily use the perk

>>
>>1548163
>>1548175
Bruh, Think of it from Wesser's point of view. Their objective is the ship, and only the ship. If he splits his ships he'll have much less of a chance of winning an engagement with us if his ships attacks separately. Gabriel can best used for silence assaults up close but that will mean we will have to deal with the rest of wesser's fleet by having falk we can still hit substantially hard and do so in our terms since we can disengage more easily if we engage wesser from afar.
>>
>>1548202
Can we take mediocre captains?
>>
>>1548210
You automatically get mediocre captain and crews to fill up the empty positions but limited manpowers so that's why the max is 3 cruiser. 3 cruiser, yer crew could be stretched thin

Have Karl lead the mediocre crew accompanied with gabriel. I kinda want to go full offense Gabriel and Karl heading for close up assault while your ship provides cover.
>>

Our goal is to protect the convoy. It's better with our shooter to stay with the defense ship which we know is gonna be shot at. Along with the fact it can last longer.

"Captain, i have analyze the danger zone but i cannot predict the path in which Von Wasser would try to attack", he gave you his notes without taking his eyes off the map.

"Sorry captn. Got nuthin here. Am just a man of action after all",Erwin scratch his head.

"Thank you, Falk", He nod and stood up.

"Here ya go cap, now i deserve some rest", And he left, humming something to himself.

Well... The plan's pretty good with him scouting and ambushing IF the enemies are there but might be a danger if enemy board your ship.

"Alright captain. I think the good formation is Offensive at front and Defensive at rear", Hertmut suddenly perked up,"Not side by side mind you. It;s not flexible on our first turn"

"GET UP YA LAZY WHIMPS!"

Instructor alarm is the best alarm in the world. Recruits wake up and automatically went in line. you heard a loud thud as recruits slowly opened their tired eyes.

"Now here! This is your uniform." Instructor Rosch continues ," White for Offensive and Blue for defensive. Take the uniform yourself and if you didnt get the team color you want. Too bad...take the other one. OFFENSE! You have 1 hour then huddle to meet me at the dock! DEFENSE, you have 2". then they leave.

A silent few seconds before people charge to the uniforms like a hungry peasants. Some got what they want, other negotiate or just accept their fate. Your crew took the right uniform and that is what matters.

It's a pretty good uniform, with hat to complete it too...Bit warm but not restrictive or tight fit. You like it and felt pride in wearing this. You wore it like a proper captain, formal but approachable.

"Not bad, captain" Gabriel approached you, his uniform is slacked like his everyday style. Albert on the other hand is too formal, with all the buttons locked up.

"Heh! Better get ready, Assault Leader. Offense team is already leaving.", you twirl your hat.

"Oh man! Already a promotion? Sweet!" He grin,"No wonder nobles have many friends. Haha!"

"Oh well, our secret is out," You jest and two of you shared a laugh.

"Um...Captain", Albert gently pull your uniform,"T-Thanks for um...last night". Gabriel's eyebrow went up. Damn it Albert.

"No problem. I just need you to be in your prime condition", you replied smoothly and glare at Gabriel.

"Sooo-"

"Dont."

"Ok. ill ask later then"

"DEFENSE! 5 MINUTES!"

Oh well, time to pack up...

Luckily you got a First Mate to explain the Falk's plan. He is good in delivering and explaining the plan too. After no question asked, he came to you.

"LET US GO FORTH AND WIN LADIES. SO THAT WE MAY HAVE A GREAT NIGHTS SLEEP."

"YES CAPTAIN!"

They salute in synchronize fashion. You can feel their burning energy as they feel yours. It's very intoxicating.

>Starting Morale increase (20 morale each ship) & Teamwork increase

In the bridge of your ship, Some of the metallic walls are already rusty but everything still functional. You can feel the gravity pull and waves as the ship un-docked and float to the sea. On the bridge is just you, a driver, a communicator and sensor expert, Karl ,and a watcher.

"This is the SS Protector", buzz the communicator. Simple name ...," Everything is accounted for and is ready to fill the formation. Over.", Your fist mate finished.

"Go it It Hartmut, over", and you signal the ship to be in the front position.

Perk: [Mind of Old]
Studying every old tactics, Empire or Allies. He could track where the enemy would go ( for 3 turns, he could predict the actions of the enemy)

Which one is our ship, the merchantships and the protector?
>>
>>1551805
Ah right

Green circle is your ship and the brown circle is the merchant convoy with SS. Protector.

Blue rectangle is the enemy ship
>>
>>1551792
>>1551811

Right. Since we got confirmation that both sides got roughly the same number of officers, this mean that because they have more ships, they're gonna be poorer in standard compared to any one of our ships. Fewer standout crew and poorer sailors.

>Tell them to take care of the oncoming cruiser while you deal with the hidden two

Since we very likely have the quality advantage, the SS Protector should be able to engage this vessel with a good chance of winning.

On our side:
>Creep in slowly and ambush them
>Send Gabriel

Gabriel to try and move in on the furthermost ship from us, when things go loud, we open up on the closest vessel.

Theres also another problem.

Their location is on the trade route. Depending on the curriculum of this exercise, the merchantship may be forced to go about the entire path so that the attackers have ample chance to plan a proper ambush.

Thus just disabling their engines will be insufficient.
>>
>>1551928

"Give them rain of HELL!" Adrenaline keep pumping in your system. The sound of shells being unload violently seems like an orchestra to you...and Karl it seems.

A hit...a hit...aand a Hit...with one of their artillery destroyed. Beautiful.

(christ, really?)

All of the sudden you saw a white flag...s. Countless white flag with Gabriel coming out to the deck and waving at you. He has bruised on his face.

You..Won!

[ss.Lion surrendered]

The whole SS.Salvation crew cheers, chanting your name. You felt like the king that just conquered an island. With minimum damage and great strategy, you have defeated Von Wesser.

"Oy KID!", you heard a shout outside. Peeking though the window, you saw the 'merchant ship' beside yours and instructor Rosch giving you a salute.

"Let's get back on the dock. We got a debriefing to do"

----

Loud cheers from the defense team as they put their feet on steady land. Albert quickly pounced you, hugging you from behind while Gabriel head-locked you with his arm. Soon, the whole crew of SS. Salvation and SS. protector salute at you and chant your name...until the instructor slam the ground.

"ALRIGHT! HERE. Defense team, congratulation! Those are bold move you just did and none of the cargo are damage! FULL MARK!" Instructor roach approached you," Captain Ferdinand Von Brant, you did amazing performance. I am proud of you, son" And salute you then went back to address the crowd."As reward, defense team can get my alcohols in my shelf...enjoy". Now the crew suddenly picked you up and went to the Instructor's cabin

Last thing you heard was" OFFENSE TEAM! PREPARE FOR HELL!"

These are expensive rum...and he have tons of them on the shelf. There are other expensive assortment of alcohol there too. Spiced, vodka, Rare whiskey...and so on.

Before the party started, Hertmut tap his glass with a spoon.

"Alright people. Before we start, any word captain?"

We told them they'd be the winning side thanks to having such a fine set of officers and crew members. Now we're going to keep to our word and have them celebrate.
This is what happens when you bring everyone together.

"We told them they'd be the winning side thanks to having such a fine set of officers and crew members. Now we're going to keep to our word and have them celebrate. This is what happens when you bring everyone together." you went silent for effect,"I told you we are the winning side, Now time to pay up my dues. DRINK!"

"CHEERS!" they raised their glasses and drink....

BURNS! Your throat burns! You saw some cough, other almost spit their drink.

"AUUUGHHH!" Falk screams in agony, clutching his neck before falling down on the table....sleeping.

This shit is very potent...You can almost feel your head buzzing. Only Gabriel and Erw- nope his face is already red..
A bit more time and familiarity, the party went on full swing.

If we can't go see the losing team, we should check on what happened with the other ship during the battle.
>>
>>1552498
You can check the enemy team tho. They will be at the barrack

Anyways, you wish to switch vote?
>>
>>1552547
>>1552548
Oh, alright. Yeah, checking in with the officers to see if there were any faults, any issues that should be addressed later sounds good. Maybe a debriefing later.

On another note, turns out we only needed 1/3 turns in aware mode because of how far we were from enemy lines.

Everybody's getting drunk. You really think now's the best time for a debrief?
>>
>>1552573
What, you don't think getting shitfaced is the best time to ask questions?
>>1552558
>Maybe a debriefing later.
I did say later, that was to notify them and ask for their thoughts on the matter.
>>
>>1552587
I suppose I'm using the term debrief a bit too liberally. What I meant to say is: Are you sure this is the best time to ask our officers to think critically? It makes more sense to ask them when they're more clear-headed.

Time to know what happened on SS. Protector. Scanning the room for your First and Second Mate, you found them sitting on the table and sipping the drink.

"Hey there" You approached them," enjoying the drinks?"

"Ah, our most prestigious captain," Hartmut smirk," Come, have a seat. I know you are dying to know what happened"

You oblige and sat beside Hartmut as he began.

"First when we detect SS.Ram heading toward us from the blindspot of the Barren Rock. A good hiding place indeed. He was coming to ram us bit we still have distance so I ordered Falk to shoot but he missed the first time."

He take a sip, letting the drink quench some thirst

"After we received your order, we detached from the merchant and focused on SS.Ram. Suffice to say we hit our mark and enough to slow him down but not enough to evade his claw. We are ready to be boarded but strangely, they were skeleton crew and their champion was Gunter Smitz. That man can rage as he pitted against most of our crew, even dueling mano to mano with Erwin."

He let out a bitter smirk.

"We got him down but Erwin went down also....But your action was much more bolder i would say. 1v2? I would not even thought of such foolishness"

"But luck was on my side", you grin

"Yeah", Falk replied," You see, they were using SS. Ram as a bait and then they will flank us. If you look at the crew from SS.Ram. SS Lion and SS Fortune; It was 1:3:2 respectively. We are lucky they got spooked first. Truly the Wesser are terrifying but not today! Fortune favors the bold!" He toast, and you and Hartmut follow.

That's pretty much the debrief you can get.

After a few shots, you leave your officers in peace and try to find your friends...Which is...oh no!

you can see Gabriel forcing Albert to finish a bottle, with the latter trying to get out of his grip.

Captain to the rescue!

"Whoa! Gabby, calm down! Put the bottle down" He look at you like a deer caught the scent of danger and slowly put the bottle of Rum down," that's it...good. Now what did happen here?"

"Welp. Al here's a bit of party pooper, sayin we are too young to drink", Gabriel point at Albert, who's face is beginning to be red

"Yesh, we werz jus 17 yers. Too yung", Albert tried to stand, his leg went wobbly.

"Aaaah Details. Lemme tell you how i got these injuries", Gabriel point at his black eye," Thanks to your ambush, we got in easy! Sneak to the engine and BAM! Punch the shit out of it. Damage was done and then we got swamped by angry crew...Good times"

"Yeah, you did gave us time to finished SS Fortune,"You raised your glass," Cheers"

He clinked your glass with his bottle,"Cheers". Another warmth on your belly

"Cheeerz", Then Albert fall on you, grabbing your shirt and fall asleep. You stare accusingly at Gabriel and he innocently shrug and skedaddle away

You sigh and carry his lightweight ass in bridal style. Not your fist choice as back carry or fireman carry have a chance for him to puke on your uniform and you dont want that.

He mumbles along the way as well as touching/slapping your face. Glasses all fogged up and face red as a tomato. Probably due to those alcohol...you gotta get back on Gabby later...

As you planned your revenge, you entered the barrack to find the offensive team laying down like a dead man on their bunk, without even changing their uniform. You can hear someone agonizing somewhere but you dont care. You unceremoniously dump Albert on his bunk, take his shoes out and tuck him in...just because you are in a good mood.

"Mmmm...Von bsent?" He mumbled

"hm? get to sleep Albert." His respond was a mumbles so you take your face close to hear what he says...When suddenly his face went forward and kissing you right in the lips. Taste of vodka and shame linger in your mouth for few seconds before he went down again.

You are shocked of what happened here, snapping you out of the buzzing haze in your head.

"Wuv u", he mumbled before snoring. hopefully he forgot about those.

"Von...Brant?" a voice behind you. you quickly turned. lo and behold...

"Von...Wesser?" But something's wrong with him...he's covering all his body with towel.

What a strange night to be drunk...

I guess being a noble makes ya a weak limp dick or some shit then.

I enjoyed the run, Still trying to firgure out how a training test like this means we can fight animals.
>>
>>1552742

This is to show how the game will be and to show the recruits how battles are/ looking for potential candidates . Of course the real ones are very brutal.

With this winning you can get to any fleet you want.
>>
>>1552748
Really? Any fleet? What are in the running?
>>
>>1552738
Thanks for running, it was a lot of fun! As someone who owns all three of the Leviathan books, it's cool to see a quest being run in that setting. I do have a couple pieces of advice though. First, I would recommend you get a twitter so that you can keep players notified of when you plan to post new threads and whatnot. Also, it'd be nice do get some more detailed descriptions of the characters and world around us, not really a huge deal, but a little added fluff can go a long way. Other than that, great stuff. I'm excited for the next thread.
>>
>>1552754

As you know there are:
-Silent hunters (Submarines)
-Anti-beast (fleet specialized in defeating beasts)
-transport fleet (frontline land and sea ships)
-Iron Fleet ( the main body of the Fatherland's fleet)
-Royal Fleet (The best of the best and newest tech implemented)
>>
>>1552767
yeah. Ill see about making pastebins and twitter on the second thread. Ill post them on around Sunday or monday. Thanks for playing dude. Really want the Manuals of Aeronautics. they have great designs and details of the worlds
>>
>>1552768
Oh boy the Royal Fleet, and Anti-beast fleet sound great.
>>
>>1552777
You will get the training session after you joined the fleet
>>
>>1552772
Thanks for running.

We got really lucky with some of those rolls.
