In the Worllunan system the one of the local Eyegores remote satellites was suddenly bombarded with Necrotic energy signatures and a sudden gravity well that seemed to appear nearly on top of the drone. There was a flash of sickly green light and a moment later a corvette of Armada make emerges from nothingness.

Immediately strikecraft and picket forces began to mobilize at the arrival of the unknown ship that appeared mere kilometers from the Eyegores drone. There was a moment of confusion for the Think Tanks in the system as there was a psychic broadcast from the vessel and then the picket forces relax.

Only a handful move in to assist the corvette as the Think Tanks within the craft communicate with their Think Tank kin and the Deep Rot. The corvette was quickly recognized as the vessel that had been equipped with the prototype Necrotic Drive several solar days prior from the Horizon's Drop system.

You find it somewhat amusing that the Necrotic Driveship had only travelled at an FTL speed that would seem primitive to most other factions, rather than abducted by the Masked as several of the Think Tanks had loudly proposed. To encourage the Think Tanks you send a short message of thanks for their service in such dangerous projects. They swell with pride before they begin picking apart the data from the voyage to increase their progress on the research.

There was another notice from the Think Tanks, this time reporting of a grave failure among them. A lab conducting the Advanced Mental Reading projects has gone silent after a short psionic shout from the Think Tanks working on it. You were glad you had commanded the Think Tanks to conduct their research on the isolated scorched world after their repeated accidents.

Even as the Reconstructed cleaned out the remains of the burnt out Think Tanks and their brain-dead test clones, the replacement Think Tanks merely consider such failures as learning opportunities. They pour over the gathered data, searching for the mistakes to improve the safety of their projects or even unexpected results of the failed project that could be expanded upon.

The Think Tanks held little concern for their individual safety, finding the pursuit of knowledge and experimentation the highest satisfaction they could achieve. You were loathe to restrain their enthusiasm as long as the collateral damage could be contained.

Elemental Event - Arc Surge
>An unusual increase in Arc energy throughout the sector, and possibly the galaxy, allows for Arc based technology and weaponry to work better than expected including boosting research speed concerning related experiments. Arc wielders also report an unexpected ease to their abilities, once lofty feats coming easier to even the freshest novice.

Finished Research:
>Floral Genetics: Thanks to the Mindvines information the Think Tanks have expanded their knowledge of examining and manipulating the genetics of floral organisms on a level previously unattainable. This also provides a boost to the current Solar Agriculture research

>Arc Fount: Due to a deeper understanding of the Arc the Think Tanks propose a new form of energy collection and power based on the Arc.

>Anti-Wraith Tech Development: Reality Lock - Renewed cooperation between Think Tanks and Mindvines has already lead to a possible weapon or defense against the Wraiths

Experiment Update:
>Necrotic Drive Prototype reappears: The sub-capital ship that had been equipped with the Necrotic Drive prototype and had disappeared several days prior, has reappeared in the Worllunan system. From the reports of the Think Tanks on board a system malfunction had caused the engine to fire without warning and sending them into FTL. Communications had been severed during transit but the days allowed the Think Tanks to analyze the energies surrounding the vessel for much needed data. The Think Tanks are confident this new field data will assist their efforts in fine-tuning the engine.

>Arc Experiments development: A Think Tank has unveiled a weapons upgrade utilizing the Arc after returning to a previously failed project

Experiment backfire:
>Psionic Overload: Advanced Mental Reading - There was an alert from the research world of the lab dedicated to psionics falling suddenly silent. Upon entering the chamber Stingers discovered three Think Tanks whose minds had been somehow burned out while showing signs of near breakage from internal pressure. This was along with the bodies of several fresh clones of various species still within their med-pods each suffering an aneurysm that swiftly lead to death. Records state that an experiment into reading the artificial thoughts of clones lead to an unexpected event where the Think Tanks and clones became caught in a psionic feed-back loop until their minds burned out and the subjects died from the psionic stress. New Think Tanks have resumed the research in a new lab as the old is cleared out.

Unlocked:
>Arc Fount: Similar to a building sized Arc Condenser in structure the Arc Fount does more than just draw in and focus the ambient Arc energy of its surroundings. Rather it taps into the Arc itself, producing an impressive amount of the elemental energy. By the nature of the energy, Arc and Necrotic attuned wielders can draw upon the Arc Fount to fuel and strengthen their own wells of power and abilities while also delaying the progression of their elemental corruption. The energy produced by an Arc Fount can be used to saturate the local surroundings with ambient Arc energy, enhancing the effectiveness of Arc based abilities and technology with the capability of further increasing the ambient Arc energy to weaken Void based tech or abilities. The Fount is only constructible on a planetoid, moon, space city, and Battleship or larger sized vessels.

>Reality Lock Cage: A complicated device intended to capture and contain incorporeal entities. Using a collapsible cage of specially prepared metal and metamaterials the device is too large for easy transport, requiring it to be built into a strikecraft or land vehicle for deployment, capture, and transport. By utilizing Reality Anchor technology the interior of the cage is subjected to the crystalline derived energies theoretically forcing the incorporeal target to became physical as long as they remain in the cage.

Ammo Unlocked:
>Arc Rounds: Arc infused kinetic rounds and Arc elemental weaponry now provide an increased accuracy bonus for consecutive attacks with Arc weaponry

Research Unlocked:
>Psionics: Medium, possibly dangerous - The incident with the Advanced Mental Reading lab has inspired several Think Tanks to begin researching psionics by focusing on telekinesis gained from sources other than Necrotic energy

>Floral Necrotic Experiments: Unknown, Dangerous - A project proposed by a Think Tank, who worked on the original Necrotic experiments on the living that lead to the Immortals, has grown intrigued with the Armatocere Necrotic initiates and requests their aid in experimenting with Necrotic energies and floral organisms

With the immediate concerns of the Think Tanks handled you look over the other alerts that have piled up as you took your meditation seated on the hull of the Charnel Vault after it had returned to Horizon's Drop from the Refuge system.

Now seated on your throne in the command bridge the data is organized and streamed to you from the Deep Rot itself.

The Think Tanks stationed in the Andai system state that they have been unable to find any more evidence of the suspected stealthcraft that had landed down on Clour shortly after the last Confederate visit. They say they will remain on high alert as they search the system and planets.

Ruscuv and Tlacex send word they are on their way back to Horizon's Drop with their captives and trophies, due to arrive in several hours.

The Obsidianborn from their attack fleet send word as well, saying they are regretful for letting Muic be abducted when the Ahkam battleship escaped. The Lavafather wishes to speak with you concerning future campaigns against the Ahkam once you have the time.

Buddy and his partners were gathering their recruits for their return trip to Veraga Prime and the awaiting freighters that were awaiting them. You could feel their minds, a distant hum of thoughts and whispers in a corner of your vast consciousness as their Control Worms link them to the Deep Rot and yourself.

Both Eiton and Lorgul report that their new Disciples, both taken from powerful loyal soldiers of the Legion, have been Reconstructed. They say the new undead are eager to serve although Eiton wonders if you would speak to the first Arc Disciple should you gain the time.

There is a message from Raakah and Beqor, the pair of Blackscale saying their cousins had arrived in the distant system and were soon to meet up. They report that the Blackscale would be coming over to the Pestilence, making it much easier for your Harbinger to speak with the corrupted reptilians should the need arise.

Commander Rethak requests an audience with you concerning himself and the new Immortals, as well as the Necrolyte Legions future.

In the Drakon system an Eyegore was startled at first to feel a large gravity well approaching the system. They relax though as the light reaches them, showing a small number of rather large Treeships snapping from impossibly stretched matter into their proper shape in a split second, their massive engines igniting as they departed for Tenebrous. They send out a broadcast stating they were the scientific team sent to investigate the strange binary worlds and also stating their utmost appreciation for the opportunity.

To your surprise there was a message from the Solar Arbiter Sur-Quro who was still within Iti'a'Ropku helping train the floral initiates into the Solar. She requests an audience or even just a conversation with you. It seemed curious that she would approach you rather than Valresko.

There was much to do and tend to in your Armada. What shall you do first?

You find Commander Rethak with the other Immortals and Jor within one of the large cargo bays where bone-crates full of supplies had been pushed to the sides to clear out a large circle. They were shouting and cheering as one of their number, a nimble vorh Immortal, dodged and swerved the slashes and thrusts of a Troll attacking them with a thermal vibrosword. You watch as they dueled, the Immortal either sliding out of the way of the attacks or deflecting the blows by slapping and shoving the wrist or blade itself.

There was a quick flurry of movement where the vorh ducked under a slash then leapt up, their clawed feet digging into the armor of the Trolls shoulders and neck then twisting themselves backward so their hands touched the ground to throw the Troll over them as their body unfolded with an audible snap of bone against bone. The Troll went sailing unceremoniously through the air only to be telekinetically caught by Jor and lowered to the ground. The Reconstructed shook itself off and moved into ready position, the undead excited to duel with the Immortals.

Commander Rethak clapped a heavy hand on the vorhs shoulder then nodded to a human Immortal who hopped up off a crate to face off with the Troll as well. They seemed to spot you despite their lack of eyes and excused himself from the crown to walk your way. Jor turns to see you as well and nods in greeting before looking back to the wrestling match that unfolded before them.

Saluting the osjiic undead bows their head before you, "Lord Jadyk, I'm glad you could speak with me."

"Of course, Rethak. What troubles you?" you ask.

Rethak turns to watch the match between the human undead and the Troll, the human managing to grapple the larger Reconstructed to the ground to the cheering of their comrades. Finally they look back after a few moments, "Immortality. This will change much about the Legion. For the better I hope."

"You have doubts about its benefits?"

"Not of its benefits to us personally," they say and look to their hand of Reconstructed bone and chitin, Voidflame engulfing it, "For the first time in decades, I feel no pain from my Void. For the first time, if feels...natural," he says with a small laugh and lets his hand drop and the flame snuff out.

"Then what troubles you, my friend?" you ask, drawing your legs up under you to sit in the air eyelevel with them.

"Apprehension about the future I suppose. And how the rest of the Legion will react. I am sure they are wondering where I have been since we left for the mission. I want to return to the Legion and show them, show them that we succeeded and that there is more than just living and dying on the battlefield. That there is a chance for Eternity to be within their grasp," he says and you can feel his pride and excitement but also colored with apprehension, "I never thought the Legion would be what it is today when I came to you and suggested its formation. I've seen the good it has done, seen the people we have saved and the enemies we have subdued.

"This fear I feel, I am certain it is temporary. A reaction to this new unlife. I never thought I would attain my name but with the Armada and the Legion I am proud to have gained in your service," he bowed his head, "The Legion is yours, Lord Jadyk. How do you want it move forward? How do you want us Immortals to guide it?"

Commander Rethak asks your guidance for how to lead the Legion and introduce the Immortals to them

These first immortals have shown to be very good soldiers, however immortality should be reserved for the greats, those who truly distinguish themselves, not only as soldiers, but as individuals who can do what a reconstructed version of them(sans personality)could not.
Because of this,I think these immortals should be relegated to a kind of Suicide Squad:they will be sent on missions or segments of the battle that their prior selves would almost certainly die. This will give us more information on the abilities, limits, and learning curve of the Immortals and the survivors of many missions, whether an individual or the entire group, can have the equivalent of a pension,in which they can serve in the legion without constantly facing such odds constantly. Future Immortals will not have to face these trials if they do not wish, unless they were gifted on a spur of the moment or certain circumstances.
As for the Legion, they will be led as they have before, except, they can either retire after a long tour of duty,or keep serving as long as they want after that,in the slim hope that they can distinguish themselves. Make it clear that they should consider immortality a pipe dream because of its slim odds and to not attempt any heroic suicide charges in order to impress us. But also tell them that this shows that we care enough about them as individuals that we are willing to consider giving them this gift.
>>
>>1533213
I am actually ok with handing out immortality to any who serve the legion and through combat or service become too injured or are damaged to the point of being untreatable

But also those who have exemplary service or have served loyally for long enough can be offered immortality

It is a gift yes but one that must be earned

Mind you an immortal legion would be badass
>>
>>1533319
It would, but only as a last resort. Imagine if we were backed into a corner ,or a temporary threat emerged, but deadly enough that we could not be sure if we could survive it. In that case,we would take volunteers to become immortals and throw them at the threat. They would not be nearly as effective as soldiers trained to perfection, but as a sudden wave of reinforcements they would do fine. Until that though,Immortality must be an exceedingly rare commodity, like the medal of honor mixed with a purple heart.
>>
>>1533213
"Immortality is not a gift that will be given freely, Commander Rethak. It is an honor that must be earned at no small cost. They must prove their worth as individuals, to show that they have more value as an Immortal rather than Reconstructed into a Stinger or Troll. This may seem harsh but it is the truth," you say and look to where the human Immortal was replaced with the lone netu Arcdancer, Arclight flashing as they dodged the swipes of an addition two Trolls.

"I understand that, Lord Jadyk. Just as Estkri became Agona and my brother Voidsinger became Lorgul, there are a rare few that are capable of becoming an undead of their," he pauses then let's out a small laugh before correcting himself, "Our strength."

You nod, watching as the Arcdancer Immortal blinked around the Trolls with ease and tripping them into a pile of tangled limbs, "Precisely," you look back to him, "The Legion will continue as it has. Under your guidance. Those that serve well and complete a mandatory term of service in the Legion can retire if they wish, to join the citizens of Iti'a'Ropku or Vyi'a'Rthun or any other future cities. Those that wish to prove themselves and dedicate their lives and deaths even further to the Legion and myself, they may continue onto the path of Immortality once their deeds reach the glory of the gift. I am certain there will be exceptional cases, heroes who rise to the occasion, who may reach that goal sooner than the others and they will be welcomed of course."

Rethak was silent for a few moments as he watched the Immortals, Jor helping the Trolls to their feet only to be challenged himself by a cocky Immortal Voidsinger, a human from Clour. The Commander chuckles as he sees them square off, "Fool made a mistake," he mutters and watches.

The Voidsinger acted first, throwing a globe of Voidlight against the ground and Jor finds himself lifted unceremoniously off his feet with an indignant sound at the laughter of the Immortals. The Voidsingers own laughter was cut abruptly short as Jor twisted suddenly, righting himself and throwing a hand out then swiftly motioning upwards. It was the Voidsingers turn to let out a sound of surprise as they were catapulted into the air toward the Necromancer. Jor brought his legs up then kicked out, his boots landing on the chest of the Voidsinger as they flew up at him only to abruptly reverse direction from the blow to bounce off the floor of the cargo bay.

The Immortals were laughing and cheering, Trolls letting out their own amused hooting and stamping their feet. Jor lowered himself down and held out a hand to help up the Immortal who took it and stood, laughing good naturedly.

Rethak turned back to you, "With Orvca's and the other Voidsingers decision to become Disciples, that will add another option for those like me who do not wish to face the dangers and uncertainty of Immortality even if it means they lose their memories," he gave a quick shake of his head and straightened his posture, "With your permission I'd like to call a gathering for the Legion. To share with them this news. Fear not, Lord Jadyk. I will impress upon them that foolhardy and suicidal actions in the pursuit of valor will not earn them this reward."

You bow your head, "Very well, Rethak. You are the Commander of the Legion still, I trust your judgement but remember the gravity of becoming Immortal."

He salutes, thumping his fist against his chest, "Of course, Lord Jadyk. I shall not fail you."

"I have no fears of that, Rethak," you say and make to drift off into the Charnel Vault once more but Rethak motions for you to wait.

"How is Rosa? And the others?" he questions.

"They are recovering steadily. Their Blight Hunger infections have been eradicated and their replacement limbs have been connecting well from what I've heard," you say after looking briefly through the eyes of a Scourge tending to the med-pods in another chamber of the vast ship, "Some are awake and...yes, Rosa woke up earlier and is now resting currently. I am sure she will wish to speak with you once she is released."

"That is good to hear. I have much to discuss with her about her future in the Legion," he glanced at you then held up his hands defensively as you stared at him, "A promotion, don't worry," he says with a chuckle.

You nod with a small chuckle of your own before turning and disappearing into the depths of the flagship.

As the sun rose of Iti'a'Ropku their Armatocere guests spend their mornings basking in the dawnlight. This allowed Sur-Quro some time to herself before she had to train the Armatocere solar initiates. She spent it in her chamber, a decently sized room in a building close to the Floral Quarter, eating from a bowl of fried grubs and kelp rolled around shredded eel and crustacean while looking over a datapad at the short table she crouched next to.

The door to the chamber slid open, her head snapping up and body tensing instinctively only to let out a small sigh and relax as a Harbinger ducks under the frame and enters. Tapping the pad off she pushed it away and gulped down one more grub before rising to all fours, bowing her head in greeting.

The Harbinger gives its own nod of greeting, drifting over to seat itself on a stool that was almost comically short for the armored undead, "I was surprised to see your message, Sur-Quro. Does something trouble you?" it asks with your voice.

She seemed surprised by the casual attitude of the Reconstructed for a moment then retakes her seat next to the table, "Beyond being taken from home, forced into servitude to the undead, given elemental abilities, then carted around to train a bunch of different aliens? Some of whom's homes I invaded or don't even know what they are? Not particularly," she says and the empathic sensors in the Harbinger detects her sarcasm but it was as biting as you would have expected.

Instead the Harbinger looks down at her meal, "Fried Gnor Grubs and Rukorian eel wraps. I suppose visiting Rukor had some benefit for you if you enjoy their cuisine enough to request it on a completely different world."

Her lip twitches as she glances down at the food then shook her head, her nictitating membrane blinking over her eyes in exasperation, "I suppose you would be right," she squints at the Harbinger, "Are all undead as frustrating as you and Valresko?"

The Harbinger chuckles with your voice, "Many are worse," you say which makes her shake her head again, "So tell me why you wished to speak with me, Sur-Quro."

The yuyut looked down at her meal and speared one of the fried grubs on one of her claws, a creature that fed harmlessly on many of the ructu crops and was a common staple that was often fried or candied in a sticky sap, then eats it in silence with claws tapping on the bone table. Finally she speaks, "What is your goal, Lord Jadyk?"

"That is quite a loaded question, Arbiter," you reply.

>cont
>>
>>1533789
She makes a face at the title although the empathic sensors detect less disgust than you had expected, "Solar Arbiter. That's part of my question. What is your goal? With me? With the Legion?" she wove a hand toward the window that overlooked the Floral Quarter, a flicker of Solar flame leaping from her hand, "With defending the Armatocere and giving them these powers? Why take me, a Sub-Admiral of an enemy fleet that unleashed bioweapons against your allies and give me these powers?"

Her emotions felt guarded partially, mostly from her trying to seem impassive but you could sense the underlying bewilderment and helplessness. She looked to the Harbinger almost pleading for an answer, "Valresko says he values my experience, that it makes me a good assistant but he just has me training these other Arbiters when I myself feel barely trained. Says that I impress him," she says somewhat bitterly.

What shall you say to her?

Sorry about the loaded questions folks have for Jadyk tonight

Not very actiony compared to the last few threads

My goal is to make things better. This galaxy is in a state of chaos and strife, the Osjic, The Akham even the confederacy all at war trying to dick each other over, all dicing over thier subjects doing so. Part of this is my fault because if actions in the old days part of it is thier own stupidity. So because of all that my penance and mission is to make this galaxy a little bit brighter and more hospitable. The Aramtocere are like minded, they simply wish to thrive and grow unmolested and have been good freinds. So I offered them power in good faith because I trust they would be wise with it. As for training, you are the first solar intiate, undead and solar in general mix poorly as well. You're actions and growth are your training. The fact others can follow in your footsteps means you're learning well.
>>
>>1533794
At first we didn't have a goal, just making the most of the resources(people included)that we had.A time has gone by,we have seen that any of the members of the factions can be brought together to work on a mutually beneficial goal. The legion helps give purpose to the living in our armada, more than as simple civilians. It gives them a purpose to fight for,as well as using them as a moving anchor with which to connect the living. With you and the other elemental users, individuals are given power beyond that of others. You can help raise or raze others,as well as their hopes, dreams, and aspirations.
We help the Armatocere because they only wish to live and help others when it is not to costly. The galaxy loses nothing from that, and they have shown that they can be fierce and strong when they need to be.
As for you, refer to my first few sentences :you no longer have to tear things down, but build them up. You will be called upon to make war and destroy and kill, but your duties will not be composed of being solely a reaper, but also a sower and a grower. You have potential, and we would not have it wasted on shouting orders on a bridge above burning world after burning world with nothing to show for it. You are not much, but you could be so much more.
>>
>>1533818
As for long term goals:stoping moronic conflicts that result in the slaughter of innocents,as well as such things as slavery and equivalents. We dont wish to rule, only hold authority over the galaxy and only intervene to protect the whole, such as during an intergalactic invasion or the rise of an evil empire.

To kill entropy
>>
My Goal is to bring all under the guiding light of the wormstar. My imprisonment has taught me that outright domination and conversion to undeath leads only to stagnation, an eternity of entropy and an end far worse than true death.

Upon my, say, release I have discovered a universe in strife. False gods, Tyrant empires and confederacies of powerless individuals unable to help their own people by being binded into impotence by their own laws and systems, various factions all vying for control, and those who suffer the most are those unable to defend themselves, so many stories left untold because they are cut short before they can reach their full potential.

Much like yourself, In you we see potential, and with our help we would see you reach that potential, and with your new found power, defend those who cannot defend themselves so they too may one day reach theirs.

The Harbinger was silent for a time, long enough that Sur-Quro began to wonder if your attention had gone elsewhere. She gives a small start when you speak finally, "My goals. At first, I had no goals. Just making the most of my resources and ensuring my own safety. As time went by I began to gather more and more under my control. The early days of this new Armada are not prideful beginnings. Yet as I learned more about this modern age and saw the state of the galaxy, I began to have true goals.

"My goal is to make things better. This galaxy is in a state of chaos and strife, suffering spreading from system to system and trillions putting their lives on the line for the petty squabbles and glory of their leaderships. The Osjiic Empire, the Ahkam Dynasties, the Confederation, even your own UON, all at war with each other bickering with each other that costs the lives of billions. I realize much of the current state of things could be traced back, all the way to the Grand Necrotic Armada for which I was one of their greatest admirals, and the atrocities I helped inflict upon the galaxy and its inhabitants," you say, the Harbinger folding its hands in its lap, "Because of this, this Armada is my penance. To make the galaxy a little bit brighter and spread a little bit of hope where I can. To protect those that cannot protect themselves and to give them a chance so they may in turn protect another. That is my goal, to improve the state of the galaxy even if it means I must wage war unceasing against those that strive to keep the galaxy shrouded in fear and subjugated by their might.

"When I first created the Legion I did so so that my prisons would be lessened and that I may gain some benefit from the Living. But as it has grown, and I've seen them, members from factions that have been sworn against each other for decades or even centuries, fighting shoulder to shoulder to protect others. They fight no longer for conquest. They fight to help their new friends and families they have found and forged. The Legion gives purpose to the living in the Armada, gives them purpose to fight for as well as serving as a connection between the Armada and its living citizens," the Harbinger waves a hand and the holoprojector built into the walls project scenes of the Legion helping repair the damage in the Refuge system from building new homes and infrastructure to planting new crops or passing out food to lines of people. Even shots of Treeships in orbit over Hearth and Scatters funneling food and medicine to the surface by Coffin.

"The Armatocere are quite similar. They merely wish to live and thrive in peace, to grow and experience the universe and learn about it. If given the chance they are downright charitable if you are polite to them rather than burning down their worlds," you say, Sur-Quro looking away from the screens as shame welled up inside her, "Of all factions, they are the ones I trust most not to misuse these gifts I have given them. Even though they can be fierce when threatened, I trust them to be wise with it and use it for the benefit of all."

Sur-Quro seems ready to speak but says nothing as the Harbinger points a long finger toward her, "You are the first of the Armada's Solar initiates. The power Solar reacts...poorly with Necrotic entities as myself and the majority of all undead.

"You are the first Solar Arbiter and I have not given you this power for no reason, Sur-Quro. I did not pick that title or you to bear it for no reason. You no longer have to tear things down, to burn world after world. You no longer have to be an executioner, but a protector. You will be called upon to make war, to destroy and to kill, but your duties will be more than that. You have potential, Sur-Quro, that is why Valresko and I selected you. I would not have you waste it shouting orders from some warship with nothing to show for it. I will make you into so much more," you say, "There are entities, much like myself, who are not as enlightened as I and will spend their existence spreading fear and pain and suffering across the stars. The Solar Arbiters will be my response to those that would harm others for their own gains, to in time weed out those who would harm us from within.

"I have given you your powers, these powers that are anathema to my kind, because you will lead those that will make sure another Grand Necrotic Armada or Undying Court or any other undead Warlord will not rise up to threaten the galaxy. Your actions and growth are your training. The fact others follow in your footsteps means you are learning well. You are not much, Sur-Quro, but you could be so much more," the Harbinger extends its hand across the table toward her, "Will you join us? Freely and willingly?"

>cont
>>
>>1534088
She stares at the offered hand for a long time then up to the eyeless face of the Harbinger, "Freely, I cannot" she says and you feel disappointment wash through you but she reaches out to take the offered hand in her own firm grip, "But willingly, I will join you. I will make sure you do not become too much of a threat, Jadyk," her grip tightens suddenly, sure to break the bones of a lesser undead, "Should you stray from this path you claim yourself to be upon, if you become yet another monster just as you once were, I will do all that I can to end your unlife myself."

The Harbinger lets out your laughter but nods, "Agreed. I hope that day never comes and that you will find happiness in your new life," retrieving its hand from the yuyut's grasp it rises to its full height and bows to her, "Enjoy the rest of your meal. The Armatocere await for you. Enjoy these idyllic days, Sur-Quro. Peace and calm is a precious if fleeting commodity," you say before the Harbinger departs.

The Wick was docked at a pylon reaching out from the orbital platform over Horizon's Drops oceanic equator, Reconstructed steadily packing its cargo holds full of dropkelp packed crates and hiding the masses of narcotikelp packages within the hidden compartments in the bulwarks. Several transport crates of the crops were also securely fastened to its underbelly by both physical restraints and a powerful magnetic lock to supply for their increased demand. Docked nearby were several Pirate Clan vessels, newly arrived and their crews being ferried to the surface by way of elevator down the Wormstar Finger then traveling by shuttlecraft to Iti'a'Ropku.

The platform and the other three orbiting the world was a hive of activity as Reconstructed crews begin the great task of forming the links that would unite the platforms into a world circling Fist. Space elevators and orbital cities seemed nearly common in this sector of the galaxy but none had ever made that final leap in logic to unite them. A large skeletal structure that dwarfed the vessels that moved around it was held up by massive engines floated near the orbital platform and crafted the first segment of the chain, Reconstructed crews working hard to shape the biomass and metal that was piped to them from massive reservoirs in the platforms. There was one of these large constructors for each platform, the Think Tanks plans guiding their motions high above the planet.

Buddy and Eigha stood at a diamond pane window, watching the large constructor and the swarms of vessels around it while waiting for the signal that the cargo was finally loaded and secured. The human smuggler absent-mindedly pressed his fingers against his stomach where the Control Worm had been inserted only to grimace when he felt the symbiot squirm slightly from the touch. Eigha noticed and gave his chest a half-hearted backhand, "Stop poking at it," she admonished and turned away from the window.

Shaking his head with a snort of a laugh, "What are you? My parent?" he retorted.

"If I was, you'd be my biggest disappointment," she taunted.

Buddy shook his head again as he felt her amusement through the psionic link they now shared. He turned away from the window and moved to a chair at the long table. He grabbed a piece of rukorian fruit from the bowls of food that had been brought for them then sat down and began peeling the purple rind off it, "I don't know why I agreed to have some undead worm live in my belly," he says before biting into the fruit.

Eigha's mandibles delicately held a straw as she drank some water as she took her own seat across from the table where her datapad was laying, "What can I say? Jadyk can be convincing when he wants to be," she says with a chuckle and begins tapping through the pad only to look up abruptly at the doorway the same moment Buddy did.

A moment later it slid open and Clud stepped in followed by an esat, kosda, and another netu, the "captains" they had recruited to command the freighters they were to receive upon their return. Seeing the pair staring at him he made a gesture with his hand, "Stop your staring, I know my beauty is radiant as ever," he said while scratching at the chitin under his beak.

Buddy just rolled his eyes and leaned back in the chair to sling his feet up on the table, "No offense to all that have it, but chitin just doesn't do it for me."

The kosda hisses a laugh and moves forward to pluck a kelp roll from a plate, "I could say the same thing about you softskins," she says before eating. She went by the name Verri, once a pilot for an Ahkam frigate she had worked in the hard-light races tinkering on hoverracers before agreeing to join them.

The esat Nzao buzzes around them to pick up a piece of fruit as well then over to the window, "They work even harder than we Esat do," it comments then bites into the hard shell of the fruit. They too had been a pilot for the Ahkam on a carrier ship before Nekris had captured it.

Clud takes a seat as well, pulling a steep sided bowl over to him to pull out a wriggling slug and gestures with it to the others as the other netu Marlob takes their seat as well, "So I spoke to some of the Daggers before we came up and they were going to the city. They hear from their contacts in the various cartels that our friends the Wraithborn are upsetting some of the others," he says then gulps down the creature that lets out a tiny squeak of dismay.

Marlob clacks their beak, "That's why we have our Necrolyte friends joining us, right? Wouldn't be the first time we've seen disputes like this," they say. They were once a Dagger like Clud who occasionally participated in the hoverraces.

"I am certain you can handle yourselves with the aid of my Necrolytes should any issues arise," you say as you glide into the room. They look up sharply at its arrival, hurriedly standing to bow in greeting, "Do you have your assembled crews ready to depart?"

Clud nods "Yes, sir. Just waiting for the signal that loading is finished. They're waiting at the docking pylon with the Legionnaires."

Eigha taps a finger against the table, "We made sure to do some trading with the Pirates so we could get some weapons and armor for them that weren't made out of bone and muscle."

Nzao buzzes over to the table, "We are eager to begin working for you, Lord Jadyk," they say, their own Control Worm showing that the insectoid was quite sincere. The others, Verri and Marlob, voice their agreement as well, their own symbiots feeling their similar sincerity.

Was there anything you wished to speak to Buddy and his crew about before they depart?

"When you return to Veraga Prime, I have a task for you all. Some information gathering, shouldn't be too difficult," you say as you move to the end of the table, motioning for them to retake their seats.

An image appears before them over the table showing the planet of Veraga Prime spinning before them, "I want you to learn about the Confederacy and their worlds in this sector. Learn how their citizens live their lives, learn how militarized they are. I am quite eager to know how they must be reacting to the news of the Armadas reemergence now that the Refuge Crisis is wrapping up," the image changes to the blurred faces of the newscasters from the underground news network, "If you can, learn what there is about this "Restricted Advice". They may prove useful and have seemed...sympathetic to our cause."

The image fades away and Marlob speaks, "We could also try asking Captain Troma for access to their information network or even just a few contacts. I know that we Dagger Clan," she says with a nod to Clud, "Have contacts in nearly every Confederate and neutral system in this sector. With this treaty you've signed with the Clans for protection, they may share information if we ask or trade for it."

You nod to her, "A good suggestion, thank you," you say then look to the others, "While you are gathering information, do your best to remain...discreet. I have a feeling that certain parties in the Confederation will be observing those that are too interested in the Armada. No need to draw suspicion on yourselves."

They nod and Nzao lifts a hand, "What should we do if we find people that may wish to immigrate?"

Chuckling you shake your head, "It is a little too early for that I am afraid. In time though, perhaps," you look to them, their minds open before you thanks to the symbiots connected to their nervous systems. You could feel their emotions, ranging from admiration and respect to well-hidden instinctual fear but you could feel each one, even without the persuasive nature of the Worms, would be loyal.

"How do your symbiots feel? Any discomfort?" you question suddenly.

They glance at each other and Buddy speaks first, "Feels weird when it moves sometimes but no, no pain honestly," he hesitates then lets out a small laugh, "Honestly I feel great."

Several of the others nod in agreement. Clud rubs a finger under his beak before speaking, "I think I can hear the Reconstructed. Not like, words or anything. But still, I can tell where one is around a corner now or if it is walking outside the door. An awareness I guess."

"Same thing with you guys," Verri says, "Nothing like whispers but, I dunno, like I could go deaf and blind and still know where you are," she says with a shrug.

"Yes, the psionic link the symbiot imparts. In time you will learn how to use it more effectively. It will be of great assistance should there ever be a disaster and you become separated or under attack," you say and they nod.

You could feel Eigha mentally shouting suddenly, calling out to the others in an apparent test of their connection. Amused you have the Control Worm broadcast it to the others and watch as they flinch reflexively.

Buddy scowls at her, "Oh great, now you can shout at me in my head too."

Eigha lets out a laugh, her mirth rolling out through the connection making several of them chuckle as well, "Sorry," she apologizes then nods to you.

Bowing your head in thanks you speak when they turn toward you once more, "The Wick is prepared and ready for departure. I would like you all to speak with the crews to explain my expectations to them while you are en route. May the Wormstar guide you and keep you safe."

The group rises from their seats to bow to you but when their right themselves your psionic image their symbiots had projected was gone. Your mind had turned to other matters as the Coffin carrying you to Horizon's Drops moon lands near the Arc Temple.

The smugglers all glance at each other as they realize what had happened.

Buddy just sighs, "Great, now he can jump-scare me whenever he likes," he grumbles but the Control Worm gives him a mild sedative that quickly calms his unease.

Clud just pats him on the shoulder, "I think he has better things to do than harass us like that," he says with a chuckle.

The human just glanced at him then past as they entered the hallway, seeing a ghostly mirage of yourself waving at him from outside a nearby window, the moon glowing in the distance, "I think you doubt how bored an immortal lich can get."

The Arc Temple's halls were thick with the ambient energy, the very air feeling like static against your bones. It was mildly invigorating as your necrotic energy soaked it in as you drifted through the halls. Deeper in the passages under your feet you could sense Vle'Karaks signature, it's strength noticeably increased since the last time you paid a visit but to your relief the Empathic Sensors in his chamber detected no urge to escape.

Turning your mind away from the Ahkam you find yourself drifting toward a large door carved in bas relief of Nekris stealing the Arc from the Ahkam. It splits and opens at your approach and you enter into the chamber to reveal the Cauldron bubbling in the floor and a sphere of sparking Arc energy to hovers above the roiling liquid. Seated on either side of the Cauldron with their hands plunged into the mix were Eiton and a Reconstructed that dwarfed him. Lifting their heads they look to you as you enter then stand.

Eiton approaches, shaking the liquid biomass from his hands then salutes with a bow, "Lord Jadyk, thank you for coming" they turn slightly and hold out a hand to motion to the Disciple that approaches, "Please meet our very first Arc Disciple."

You bow your head in greeting and the Disciple kneels before you, bowing her head and intoning, "I am yours, Lord Jadyk. I shall strive to bring honor to Nekris name."

Reaching out you place a hand on their head, "Arise, Disciple. I am excited to see what glories you bring the Armada and the Predator order."

They stand then, easily half a foot taller than you were. Their form was more compact than most Reconstructed osjiic but still heavily armored and definitely broader than Eiton or Nekris had been. Like many osjiic Reconstructed she seemed to have no eyes but her helm splits into segments and pulls back to reveal the gently shifting patterns and lights of her gorgons gaze, "I am honored to be here, Lord Jadyk. I know I am no replacement for Nekris but I will give you my all."

"I have no doubt of your dedication, Disciple," you say, patting their shoulder then drifting toward the Cauldron to inspect it and the manifestation of Arc energy, "I hope I did not interrupt an important project."

Eiton moves forward to stand by the Cauldron, "A break won't harm its progress. We were working to create new Reconstructed for the Armada. After the Voidknights and Punishers presented their own, Valresko and I agreed that we should create our own contribution to the Armadas armies."

"Very good, Eiton. This Surge would the be appropriate time for such an endeavor," you say while floating around the rim with hands clasped behind you.

"May I ask you a question, Lord Jadyk?" the Predator asks, the Disciple moving to the Cauldron and dipping her hands into the biomass broth once more.

"Of course, Eiton."

"When do you plan to attain the Arc for yourself?" he questions suddenly, arms folded across his chest as he looked at you.

How shall you answer?

When a suitable situation presents itself. As of yet, my solar and Void powers are not working so well in concert that I could contain a fourth power source without issue. But soon. I will probably rip it from an Akham when the time comes.
>>
>>1539057
At a time when we are not under stress or in danger. We had to meditate for a while in order to juggle Solar, the addition of a forth one will most likely also be difficult. Its not something to rush, but if the opportunity presents itself(a subdued matriarch for example),it will be taken under due consideration.
>>

"When a suitable situation presents itself. While my control over the Void is essentially solidified, the Solar still vexes me at time but I am gaining control of it. A fourth energy source may be beyond me still," you admit then add, "But soon. Likely I will rip it from an Ahkam when the time comes."

Eiton nods, "Very well, Lord Jadyk. I would recommend attempting so while the Arc Surge is still in effect. If I am there with you, you may be able to safely steal the Arc from an Ahkam," they tap their chin with a claw, "In fact, Tlacex is en route with one as his prisoner now. Or there are those two that have been helping the Think Tanks with their Arc experiments."

"Hm, perhaps. How have those two been? They have been...unexpectedly docile guests. I would have expected them to take advantage of the Arc Surge," you say, crouching by the Cauldrons rip and holding out your hand to allow a portion of Kyn'tk to slither out into the Cauldron then reform itself in the Disciples hand as a tool for Reconstructing.

"I would recommend speaking to them sometime. Their spirits seem...broken. From what they said to Nekris and my own conversations with them, they believe themselves lost to the Dynasties. The female Cve'jok in particular says her mother would execute her herself if she were to return, disgraced after so long," he was silent for a moment in thought then continues, "I do not know if they would be willing to serve the Armada freely, but the groundwork for building their loyalty is there should you decide," he then gives a noncommittal shrug, "Although, I'm pretty damn positive that by how highly they regard Vle'Karak, if you are able to convert him to your service, they may be quick to follow."

"Or we could make them into Predators themselves," the Disciple remarks as she uses Kyn'tk to shape the bone and spin strands of muscle with relative ease.

Eiton chuckles and nods, "That is also an option. You asked me to assemble a list of potential Predator candidates, Lord Jadyk, and I believe I have a handful selected already. I will have to search through the captives that Tlacex and Ruscuv have, along with whoever Muic manages to bring back," he says then motions to a demi-Think Tank that had been perched in an alcove. The small construct floated forward to project a holoscreen showing a list of names both among the Legion and the Armadas prisoners.

Predator potentials:
>Epikor Gladiator, former honorguard of Vle'karak, their twin has Solar potential in comparison to their Arc potential
>Cve'jok, female Ahkam juvenile. Currently imprisoned in the Arc Temple on Rukors moon and assisting the Think Tanks
>Dne'tec, Ahkam male. Currently imprisoned in the Arc Temple on Rukors moon and assisting the Think Tanks

There was another short list now that the Arc Disciples had been created, several of them Arcdancers under his tutelage.

Arc Disciple potentials:
>3 Arcdancers

What shall you do with these lists that Eiton has given you?

Make some more disciples, but hold off making more predators for now.I would have preferred for Ruscov to have captured her Akham instead of nomming it in the hope of getting the Arc,but Im willing to wait until we get an asshole Akham. If it takes too long, then we could dunk the Gladiator in,maybe with Vle"Karak's blessing/him ordering him to.

Promote the dancers if they choose, same for the predator potentials. The twins are too popular too strong arm, and the akhanm could be... troublesome to convert if they do not go willingly.

Make the dancers into disciples, but hold off on the others.

Yknow all this description of the orbital platforms, its kind of got me thinking, how are the remaining osongo responding to this? Having entire constelations of stars appear over night, weird, but having orbital super structures covering the equator however loosely they may at the moment must be a huge sign to all the hold outs that the times are changing. Are the migrations growing in size?

"The serpents will still prove useful alive for now. The gladiator...they can wait. They are popular fighters and it would be much more satisfying if we can get Vle'Karak to convince them to willingly step into the Cauldron," you turn from the Cauldron to Eiton, "The Ahkam have not tried to escape but they may become desperate if they suspect their deaths. Safer to not tempt them into reacting when the Arc Surge is in effect."

"And the Arcdancers?" he asks.

"Ask them first," you look to the Arc Disciple, "Orvca's volunteering for it may be inspire them to follow her example. Should they refuse, I would feel somewhat guilty forcing it upon loyal Legionnaires so let them return to their ranks. They may aim for Immortality instead," you say with a shrug.

Eiton nods, "Yes, Lord Jadyk. Before you leave the Temple, Vle'Karak was asking for you earlier. Concerning the Arc Surge."

"Thank you, Eiton. Continue the good work," you look to the Disciple who meets your gaze with her multitude of hypnotic eyes, "I expect great things from you. Make Nekris proud, Disciple, and you shall rise to gain your name and title alongside Eiton."

The Disciple stands to salute you, Kyn'tk taking the form of a serrated blade in her hand. Eiton joins her once more and they kneel to resume their work on creating new soldiers for the Armada.

Do you wish to speak with Vle'Karak before you depart?

The door to Vle'Karaks quarters pulses with quasiphasic energy before the molecularly overlapping plates of armor slide back and separate enough for you to drift into the chamber.

Vle'Karak flit his tongue into the air as he looked down at you, a holoscreen projected by a demi-Think Tank flickering out as it floated back to its socket in the wall. The serpent gives a slight nod to you, "Jadyk. I sensed you were near," he says, uncoiling slightly and shifting himself to lay his chin on a loop of his body, "I was hoping you would come to speak with me soon."

"I am always glad to speak with you, my friend," you say, making the serpent chuckle with a ripple of Arclight pulsing along his scales despite the three Glutton collars he wore, "What is on your mind, Vle'Karak?"

"You or your Generals have slain one of kin," he states matter-of-factly, the empathic sensors in the walls detecting very little if any emotional response from him.

"What makes you say that?" you ask, folding your legs up under you comfortably.

"This Arc Surge, I am more attuned with the Arc than I ever have before," he shifts himself, lifting the portion of his body where the collars dug into his scales, "Even with these doing their best to dampen my strength along with the crystal you lined the walls with, I am a part of the Arc. My kin do not have the same...strength of mind or connection with it, but it is an innate part of every Ahkam naturally born. I felt the life of one of my kin be consumed, their strength ripped out of the Arc."

"Does this anger you?" you ask with genuine curiosity.

Vle'Karak stares at you, large tongue flitting out several times before he chuckles, the sensors detecting his amusement, "Not as much as it would have when I was a younger snake. No, I understand that to face your forces is to face death. So far your Armada has a nearly unprecedented success rate of taking us out. Only the Sunscale have a more impressive reputation, although they have been in the business of killing Ahkam much longer than you have.

"I have no genuine anger over their death. No, I called you here for another reason, to discuss with you something that has been bothering me," he says then falls silent for several moments before continuing, "My senses through the Arc are not precise. It is only through my meditations here and the Arc Surge that I have been able connect with it to this extent," he says calmly as a powerful pulse of crackling Arc lightning flashes along his body, one of the Glutton spheres set into a collar glowing with white-hot intensity then cracking with a large pop as it goes dark.

Relaxing he lets the charge fade from himself, no longer showing off, "I felt battles being waged, vast amounts of Arc energy used for combat and being consumed. I know one Ahkam has perished and that others were in the battles themselves. Your construct won't tell me who was captured or slain but I know they near this place. I can feel them, Jadyk," he stares at you with his remaining eye, "I can feel them but I also felt something else. Something, ominous, through the Arc. I do not know what it is and it frustrates me. But that is not why I asked you here.

"I can feel something else, approaching this sector. My favorite niece, the Matriarch Quantac'Vrix, is returning to Curou sector. I can sense her rage at these attacks you have unleashed upon her daughters. She comes to avenge them and perhaps even myself," he lets out a chuckle, "Thought you should know. While she may be coming to avenge me, if she knew I was alive, well, she may execute me herself if she learned how...friendly I've been to you."

"I...appreciate your warning, Vle'Karak," you say, tapping your chin with a finger.

Was there anything else you wished to speak to Vle'Karak about?

Is there a fall back position the Ahkam use for ship repairs of emergency storm jumps? We still haven't relocated Muic and its very likely she might have gone out of the sector and into an awaiting fleet of enemy reinforcements. We really aught to make relocating her a priority, because its pretty damn likely the longer we wait the less chance we have of seeing her alive again. Wouldn't want Agonas sister to show up again impaled on a spike on a Ahkam Battlecruiser.

"I would like you to follow me," you say suddenly as you turn toward the door and it opens for you, expanding even further to accommodate the large serpent.

Vle'Karak pulls his head up, looking in disbelief until you look back over your shoulder. With an alert swaying motion he slithers forward, uncoiling his large form to follow you into the passages. You could feel Eitons sudden alarm at Vle'Karaks movement past his cell but you reassure him through the demi-Think Tank in their central chamber.

For his part the serpent kept himself behaved as he followed you in silence, turning his head to inspect the passages and chambers you passed while ascending. Despite his size he was able to slither through the corridors with ease, scales rasping against the stone floors and walls. You were uncertain if he could sense the masses of Arc-attuned Dirges shadowing you in side passages but you make no mention of them, hoping to test his loyalties.

Emerging from the tunnels Vle'Karak lets out a hiss of pleasure as he lifts his head to stare up at the stars through the nearly transparent bubble of the biodome. He soaked in the sight for several moments, watching the ships pass by filling space with shining shapes moving through the void. Finally he looks to his surroundings, looking in surprise at the small field of grasses and small trees that grew on the surface protected by the shield of refracted energy. Hardy plants from Horizon's Drop surrounded you both, tall grasses and sturdy shrubs swaying in the artificial breeze. There were only a few local small arthropods from the planet buzzing around making one of the few sounds within the pocket of atmosphere.

Vle'Karak slithers over to where you sat floating next to a pool of water that filled a meteor crater watching the adult forms of the buzzing creatures swimming in the water. Finally he speaks, "This is...quite beautiful, Jadyk. Is this like your homeworld?"

You chuckle softly, "It is of my new home, actually. My original homeworld...it was a cruel place. I lived as a parasite, controlling corpses to hunt down new hosts as the old deteriorated. I have not seen it in untold eons but I remember it well. Kyn'tk was harsh and it helped forge me into the monster that would become the champion of the Wormstar."

The serpent coils himself loosely on the grass, empathic sensors relaying his enjoyment of the change of scenery. He was silent for a time, just relaxing for several long minutes before he speaks, "If you face Quantac'Vrix, even with your strength, you may perish. Even if the Arc Surge fades, she will be formidable. You may have slain and captured many Ahkam males and juvenile females, but you do not know the true strength of the Matriarchs. I saw the footage of that battle you faced her," he lets out a dark chuckle, "She was mad with grief. You had slain her children, the very first of her lineage to die in battle. She was not thinking straight, bringing such a mediocre fleet, believing it was the Void tyrants she faced she was cocky. She knows of you now, knows the danger the Necrotic has against her. She will be prepared and she will be determined, do not expect her to be a simple fight."

"Simple would not be how I describe a battle against a Matriarch," you say, "If I am to face the Matriarch, I will be ready. I know it would be folly to face her alone and I plan to have my family with me during that time."

The serpent lets out his clicking laugh, stretching with a twisting motion and a pulsing of Arclight along his form before he relaxes once more. He seemed ready to say something but you spoke first, "Tell me, Vle'Karak. Have you thought of my proposal?"

His tongue flits out, tasting the air before he replies, "Constantly."

"You asked for proof that Immortality is within my powers to grant. I have sent you the footage of my favored Commander and loyal soldiers Reconstructed into undeath, their minds and memories and loyalties intact," you say and the serpent nods, watching you with his single eye as you turn to face him while rising to your full height before him, "I can grant you immortality, Vle'Karak. An eternity of glory and purpose, free from the ravages of time. As I told you before, your strength is formidable, Butcher, but it is your experience and memories are what I value.

"Will you rot in your cell, waiting for the slow death of age to take you after years of languishing? Or will you make your choice and serve me, to become a Grand Wyrm of the Armada?" You make your demand once more, hands clasped behind your back as your empathic sensors struggle to read any emotion from the serpent.

Vle'Karak lifted his head and turned his gaze away from you to gaze up at the stars and the sphere of Horizon's Drop looming at the horizon. He was silent, tongue flitting out as he thought. A few pulses of Arclight run along his scales, the Glutton crystals around his collars glowing with each flash.

He looks to you finally, "Something tells me I should trust you," he says with all seriousness before letting out a laugh, "Had someone told me I would say that a cycle ago and I would have have thrown them out of an airlock near a star for the insult."

"Is that a yes, then?" you ask stoically.

His single red eye stares at you for a long time, head swaying from side-to-side slightly before he coils himself up. But rather than strike as you expected he bows his head toward you, "If you can promise that I never have to spend another day confined in that cell and that you can grant me the Immortality that you offer...then yes, I shall serve you and your Armada upon that day until the end of Eternity."

Vle'Karak lifts his gaze to you, "I will call you Lord and fight in the name of your Wormstar. I have lived as a false god. It may be time to be loyal one that may become a true God," he says, bowing his head before you once more.

You look at him, empathic sensors detecting no duplicity from the Ahkam.

With a wave of your hand the serpent tenses only to stare at you in surprise as the collars split then carefully remove themselves to reveal the raw flesh underneath. Spikes dripping with blood you let the collars drop to the ground, "Very well. I accept your servitude. I hope for both of our sakes that you do not betray my trust."

Vle'Karak hisses softly to himself as he stretches, pain from the wounds making him tense but his joy at having been freed was quite apparent even without the sensors reading his emotions. He turns back to look at you, "You take a great risk by unrestraining me, especially now during the Surge, out here without your walls of crystal to contain me," he bows his head again, "Feel at ease, Lord Jadyk. I am merely content right now to lay here, under the stars for a time," he looks up to the stars again, "I hadn't realized how much I had missed them," he says as he coils himself up in a loose pile, his single eye turned upwards.

You give a nod of your head, "Very well. Take some time to enjoy yourself. When you are ready I would like to announce your loyalty."

He looks to you then, "You want me to publicly renounce the Dynasties, before you...Reconstruct me," he says more as a statement than a true question.

Hands spreading before you, "Only if you would oblige my political machinations. Your allegiance can be a powerful weapon against my enemies, but I can understand if you are reluctant to so soon after deciding it. No pressure, Vle'Karak."

Tongue flitting out before he answers, "Let me think upon it, Lord Jadyk. I have much to think about."

Giving a short bow you turn and descend back underground leaving Vle'Karak to rest under the starlight in silence. Below you pass by Eiton who had waited and now follows you through the corridors.

Finally you break the silence, "Disappointed in my decision?"

Eiton looks at you in surprise, "Disappointed? I am amazed you convinced him. I might've left at least one collar on, but I trust your judgement, Lord Jadyk."

"Trust can not be gained if we do not offer it ourselves first. I think being freed from his cell will help convince him. After all, is that not how my Legionnaires became loyal themselves?" you ask rhetorically with a small chuckle.

"I suppose you are correct, Lord Jadyk," he says and makes to turn down a side passage to return to the Disciple but he turns back around, "Oh, I nearly forgot," he says before giving a flick of his wrist and the portion of Kyn'tk slithers through the air to rejoin its core within your ribcage.

A Coffin floats in orbit over a moon, its sensors turned toward both the moon and the trio of stars that blazed in the distance. A massive white giant shone with blinding intensity, flooding the system with radiation as a pair of red and blue dwarf stars chased each other around the giant. The waves of radiation made communication between the strikecraft difficult they attempted to decipher where they had been stranded by the panicked Ahkam.

The moon possessed an atmosphere thanks to its dense core while being protected from the solarwinds by the magnetosphere of the massive and very dense world it orbited. They could see the planet possessed an atmosphere but it was highly toxic with rivers of mercury and lakes of burning sulphur decorating its surface. It was because of the powerful gravity well of the planet and the moon that the grav-thrusters of the strikecraft were able to perform at peak performance, helping save on fuel. The grav sensors of the Coffin detect the shadows of other planets but without attempting to explore them they knew little other than that they also possessed strong gravity wells.

Below the orbiting Coffin Muic stood in the shadow of the crashed Battleship where it had crashed on the alien beach, the sky patched with clouds after the rains had ceased. Reconstructed, Obsidianborn, and even a few Stonestar milled about her as they helped dump the last ingredients needed into the crude but simple Cauldron before her. Wrapping her fingers around one on the opposite hand she gives a twist to wrench the digit off and cast it into the Cauldron. There were a pair of muffled shouts then a pair of splashes as two bound and gagged tyrre were shoved into the mixture.

With the sacrifice of the creator and a sacrifice of flesh and mind the Cauldron sparked into being, the liquid quickly beginning to boil and churn, changing from a multi-colored slick into a rich, deep black. The primitive mind of the Cauldron reaches out to Muic and she responds, dipping her hand into liquid to acquaint herself with it and it eagerly latched onto her will.

The Ahkam across from her hissed in disgust then in pain. Muic looked up, pulling her hand from the liquid with her finger restored and nodded to a nearby Dirge who carefully lifted the Cauldron and placed it by the first already made, "Do not move so much. Those restraints must be painful and your wounds must heal," she says as the hollow shell of another Cauldron to be awakened was placed before her and Talons began dumping barrels of caustic liquids and piles of the cancerous yikyak meat into it. Trolls stood nearby, each one restraining additional tyrre for the Cauldrons sacrifices.

Her hood had been pierced through by four barbed anchors with a dozen other piercing her neck and tail, each linked by heavy chains that disappeared beneath the sand. Three Arc-attuned Dirges floated around the serpent as Talons and Scourges tended to the massive burns her prison of molten glass had left her, carving away the dead flesh and slathering it with medical pastes that sizzle and scab over into artificial scars. The medical supplies of the battleship had been ransacked for the purpose although Muic doubted they would perish from these wounds, the serpent already stubbornly deriding her as she worked, "What is your goal, undead? I will find a way to escape and I will slay you," she goaded despite the spikes of a Domination Collar bug into her scales.

Muic merely shrugged and turned to the demi-Think Tank that approached her and spoke into her mind, <We have established contact with the Deep Rot finally although it was very brief. The radiation of the triple stars seem to be disrupting our connection somewhat. While the connection was brief we were able to deduce our location. We are in the Throne system, located in the far corner past the Ahkam territories. We only know of it from Pirate databases and Ahkam rumors. A system that is best avoided due to the ferocious solar winds and a shocking amount of lost vessels that attempt to explore it.>

"A deceptive name for this system," she says mostly to herself then looks to the restrained Ahkam, "What do you know of the Throne system?"

Hissing in distaste the Ahkam shook their head slightly, making the chains clink together, "It is a system that devours ships and fleets. It's solar winds are a menace and make long range communications near impossible."

Muic nods, "About what we know about it as well. Why did you bring us here?"

They were silent until Muic held a hand out to her and the serpent felt a pressure squeeze around her throat. Snarling she shakes her head then answers, "It was not intentional. I was aiming for Quarrus where my sisters fleets were waiting in reserve," not seeming to care that she was sharing a fairly important strategic detail.

Shaking her head Muic released her grip on its neck, "I doubt we have to be here long."

"Then why build your blasphemous tools?" she asks, nodding toward the Cauldron as two tyrre were dragged up to it.

Muic calmly broke off another finger different from the last while looking up at the serpent, "Because I am Muic, a Punisher of the Armada and Reforged. I do not wait for others to save me. These blasphemous tools will be used to keep you and the other prisoners safe and protected until we can depart from this dreary moon."

As for us, prepare a stealth fleet, we can't launch a attack so deep in Arkham territory during the Surge, furtivity is probably a better solution.

might be hard we would have to go through their territory to pick them up, and then back again to get home, and trying to go around has the same issue only with the osjiic.

Having looked at the map I think our best option is to focus on conquering the Sneks first, for 3 reasons.

1 Corner of the map, cant be flanked by osjiic or confeds [easily] and we can continue to then push west.

2 Having all of their Arc attuned under our sway will make conquering the Osjiic that much easier on our continued March west.

3 Tamer of Sneks and toppler of False gods is a cool title. Will also make confeds and Osjiic shiver in their little booties as our boarders continue to expand.

dont most of our FTL drives operate by tageting gravity wells, eg stars.

Until we create something to hide energy signatures of the drives perhaps but trying to jump that far might burn out the engine or lead to... catastrophic side effects, nothing a good dice roll wont cure i am sure

We must also take in account that they will probably try to follow us if they see a fleet. And we will need some time to retrieve Muuic and the precious snake. If they attack during that time, things could get south, especially since we know they have their reserve fleet not far away from Throne.

So since whe are not in rush, let's talk about long term project.

I think we should begin the construction of a Arc Fount in the Predator Temple, to be precise, around the first cauldron Nekris ignited. It will be a monument to Nekris Glory and a tool to build more powerfull and dangerous being attuned to the Arc. Necromancer should also make a trip here, to slow down their corruption.

We should also pursue the B'nan project. I don't know if anyone remember the Asteroid Defensive grid Network ( ADN !) and the shock drome ? Should add the construction of a Fortified/Industrial Fist of the Wormstar here too.

On this note, did the Research on the Factory City is complete ? I don't see it in the list, but I can't see it in any research result either.
>>
I've been thinking about some things and I gotta tell you guys, we are woefully unprepared for Akka-Tor.

Her wraiths can float invisibly through deep space and phase through solids and probably just fucking teleport at will too. We've developed some solid counter-measures, but that's also all they are and we'll be hurt badly if she decides to attack us with force.

I want us to build like thousands of eyegores for every system/planet in a system and place them all around the planets with their eyes trained at them along with eyegores near deep space also facing inwards. We need to really saturate our space with them.
The thing is, we've got what, a single city per world, if her wraiths show up on the far side it would take hours or even days before we can respond while they scorch the earth and eat the planets from behind. We're making big promises to keep our people safe, a single such attack will make us look weak and impotent or worse, a liar. Imagine if they're just floating down to the surface from the dark side and phase through the ground to pop up and eat Iti'a'Ropku.
>>
>>1541042
I feel like you've missed the part where we have space elevators surrounding the planets. There is no unwatched far side.

Yes, we do need to be wary of Akka-Tor, but we also need to not overextend ourselves and keep building up infrastructure.
>>
>>1541042
What are you talking about? Our cities are warded against those kinds of attacks, as are our ships (or at least anything corvette sized and above). The only reason our cannons don't have any Anti-Wraith ammo is because the intangibility schtick makes the bullets more than useless.

Also, Akka-Tor knows that Jadyk possess the power of Void and Solar on top of his mastery of the Necrotic, and has probably (and correctly) assumed that he instructed his Generals and mortal followers in how to combat the wraiths from both past experience working WITH her and from his fight with one.

IE She's staying waaaaaay clear of him until she can whip up a trump card.

To be completely honest, I'm more concerned with the Sunscale. Anything that made killing Ahkam Matriarchs look like a morning jog is worth treating with caution.
>>
Y'know what's missing from our defenses? The vast, innumerable clouds of Crit Crawls. They aren't expensive and do really well against invaders, so we should be spamming the absolute shit out of them to add to the defenses of our planets and systems.

What's more is Lavabro could potentially modify some of them to explode with molten metal or incredibly nasty acids, completely ignoring the Arc shields of the Ahkam.
>>
>>1541099
Well, they are a part of this >>1540543
Critters Nest and all.
>>
>>1541080
I consider her to be one of the greatest potential threats(considering she can eat stars),but she also seems to be a planner. She likely views us as tools to be used/give her an opportunity to do something. She is likely as far beyond her wraiths as we are from our most basic reconstructed. If she feels like cutting loose, she would almost certainly obliterate us. But as I previously mentioned,we might be more useful alive for now.
>>

Ok graves we have a big angry snake coming with possibly everything Shen has
We NEED to be able to make more ships
I don't know how far along the new cost list is but we need to work with something
Just let us use the old cost list with everything X% more expensive and retro actively make a bunch of ships, because it's unlikely that we would spend this much time in game not making any

>Shockdrome
Thanks for reminding me, I'll make sure to add it to the pastebins

>Factory City research
A little ashamed about this but I removed it from the research because I couldn't figure out a way to make it work without making things too complex for myself.

I'd rather focus on the stuff that will affect the story rather than the resource accumulation. Also we hardly spend any of what we produce anyways, so having a sudden increase would just bury us even further

What I'm trying to say is I'm lazy

>>1541099
Currently part of the defenses of Armada worlds includes corvettes dedicated to going out and spreading Crit Crawls in the path of enemy attackers with a good amount of them already in orbit over certain worlds and infesting asteroid belts

The Crit-Crawler bioship from the pastebins will be getting upgraded to have a stealth field so they can deploy Crit Crawls much closer to approaching ships or setting up ambushes

About the Factory City, I suppose we would say it's a kind of Vehicule factory leveled up, that spend less ressource in building because of it's metal production or something like that.

feel free to double check my maths or Add more to the order but here's a base start and an alternative idea if we feel like being big spenders.. I call this the "Unleash the KRAKEN" special

1000 X Battleships
10,800,000B
15,700,000M

600 X Mirrorsoul Battleships
6,900,000B
9,480,000M

6000 X Kraken
1,500,000B
600,000M

6000 X Squid
600,000B
300,000m

1000 X Swarm Battle Cruisers
4,100,000B
4,200,000M

500 X Hangar Battle Cruisers
1,450,000B
1,950,000M

25,350,000B
18,100,000m

NEW TOTALS AFTER SPENDING
66,250,000B
74,500,000M

if we decide we want to build twice as many of those ships suggested the new totals for reserves would be

40,900,000B
56,400,000M

This would give us..
2000 Battleships
1200 Mirrorsoul Battleships
1,2000 Kraken
1,2000 Squid
2000 Swarm Battle Cruisers
1000 Hangar Battle Cruisers

>>
>>1544240
Wait, why are we producing as many Squid than Kraken ? Squid are big fighter supposed to be use en masse, but Kraken are cruiser sized, number should be different.
>>
>>1544327
1000X Destroyers
4,300,000B
7,900,000M

1000X Plasma Weaver Heavy Cruisers
1,100,000B
2,200,000M

5000X Common Frigate
4,750,000B
9,900,000M

12,000 X Squid [add to original order new total of 24,000 squid]
600,000B
300,000M

10,000 Support Corvette
6,000,000B
9,000,000M

20,000 Gunships
1,800,000B
5,000,000M

Costs
18,550,000B
34,300,000M
New stockpile totals
22,350,000B
22,100,000M

This would add to our ship list a nifty...
2000 Battleships
1200 Mirrorsoul Battleships
12000 Kraken
24000 Squid
2000 Swarm Battle Cruisers
1000 Hangar Battle Cruisers
1000X Destroyers
1000X Plasma Weaver Heavy Cruisers
5000X Common Frigate
10,000 Support Corvette
20,000 Gunships

Any other suggestions/modifications?

I think whe should also add Void Destroyer, Voidspear Battlecruiser and Void Weaver Heavy Cruiser.

We have the luck of being able to use many different type of energy, we should use this to our advantage.

All of this make me think that we lack in this domain : we don't even have Arc attuned dedicated ship. I know Eiton was probably designin some during his "repentance" but still. Maybe we should use the same system than the shockdrome : some weapon emplacement are "mobile" and when we construct let's say 10 of this type of ship, 2 have void weapon at this emplacement, 4 have arc, 4 magmatic and the rest is necrotic.

For example on a battleship:

Battleship: 10,800B 15,700M
Size: 1500 meters
Capacity: 800
5 Pike Missile Bays
2 Hull Spinal Cannons
4 "Mobile" Spinal weapon
8 Fixed Necrotic Flayers
8 "Mobile" Fixed weapon
6 Turret Chain Flensers
8 "Mobile" Turret weapon
6 Auxiliary Repeater Cannons
2 "Mobile" auxiliary weapon
Reinforced Shielding
Hardlight Plating
6 Swarm Hangars
4 Docking Bays
6 Fighter Hangars

Okay one of the rules for building and designing a ship is that all of the mounts of one type must be the same weapon

Can't split the turrets up, they'd all have to be Chain Flensers

This just makes it easier for designing ships

Now if I ever make a quest where the players only have control of one ship, I might make an exception
>>

Halas crual world. But the "mobile" thing still work, altough given the difference between the type of weapon, it might be more wise to design proper model. Can't do it right now halas, it's 01:30 am for me, and I need too sleep.

Eyes blink open as the liquid was drained from around them, falling to around the waist before the door to the medpod swings open and the medgel splashes out onto the floor and channeled into a nearby drain for recycling. Reaching up they pull the respirator mask from their face and began coughing up some of the fluid. Running a hand across their face then back across their buzzed hair to clear it of the biogel they finally open their eyes, squinting into the light.

Rosa lifted her newly replaced Reconstructed hand to shield her eyes to look around the infirmary. Reaching out she pulls herself forward out of the pod only to give a start at the clacking of her feet hitting the floor. Looking down she frowned when she sees her new Reconstructed prosthetics, simple set-ups until she could design and request a combat worthy model.

One of the hovering medical Reconstructed draws close, extending one of its many limbs to hand her a newly woven Legionnaire skinsuit. As she dressed it questioned her about how her prosthetics were feeling and if they needed any fine-tuning before she departed from the infirmary. She answered quickly and shooed it off, the medic drifting off to check on a medpod with another Legionnaire nearly release as well.

She moved behind the medic, scanning the names of the soldiers still in their pods recognizing them as members of their mission on Spindles moon. Stopping at the pod of another human she frowned in surprise when they shifted in their pod to reveal the Spinal Tap burrowed into their flesh. Reaching behind her Rosa felt the segmented armor of the symbiot, flinching as it shifts under her touch.

Turning on the medic she was about to demand what the thing was only to be interrupted by the sound of the door opening and the sound of footsteps, one pair being much heavier than the other. Rosa turned to see Necromancer Jor and Commander Rethak enter.

"Ah! Good, you're awake!" Jor says cheerfully as he approaches, patting her on the shoulder only to give a grunt then laugh as the stronger human wrapped her arms around him in a powerful hug. He pats her on the back until she releases him, "Glad to see you're okay too. Klikli will be very happy as well."

"So he's alright, that's good, I was worried. I'm guessing I have him to thank for saving me," she says somewhat sheepishly.

"He says it was part of his duty but yeah, I hear he showed up carrying you on his back while missing one of his legs and brought you right to a medpod himself," Jor says.

Rosa nods, "I owe him big then," she then looked to the large Reconstructed and squinted at it for a long moment until she blinked as something in the back of her head spoke to her, "Commander?" she asked incredulously then saluted smartly.

Rethak chuckles and salutes in return, "It's Commander Rethak now but yes. The mission was a success and this was my reward," he says, gesturing to himself.

>cont
>>
>>1550519
Approaching him she reached out and took his arm to inspect the armor critically, "Impressive," she then let it drop and looked up at him, "Did it hurt?"

The osjiic undead gave a small shrug, "I can hardly remember any of it honestly. Just Jor defeating the Immortal then waking up as an undead," he says with a laugh.

"Wait, Immortal?" she asked incredulously and ran a hand across her scalp, "Shit, I lost the bet. Thought it was an old war buddy of Jadyks," she says to the laughter of both Jor and Rethak.

"Come along, I'm sure you're hungry. I had them fly up some real food from Iti'a'Ropku," Jor says and motions for them to follow.

"Just a sec, I have a question about something first," Rosa says and they look to her expectantly. She turns and drops the skinsuit open enough to show the mass of scars from blades, bullets, blasters and burns that made up her back and the Spinal Tap buried in her skin, "What the fuck is this?"

All three give a start as your voice speaks from the Harbinger that had descended from a hatch in the ceiling above in silence to stand between the two, "A newly created Reconstructed symbiot. The Think Tanks call it a Spinal Tap."

Jor takes a step back and shoots a glare at the Harbinger, "Do you have to sneak up like that?"

"Yes," the Harbinger doesn't turn its head as it replied, instead looking to Rosa who redressed and turned back to the undead, "It is a new tool created for the Legion. You are among the first to be granted this," the Harbinger holds its hand out toward Rosa's vacated medpod and from a small tray set next to it a Domination Spike is pulled over to float above its palm held out to her.

Rosa stared at the spike for a long moment then reached out to take the barbed piece of carved metal and turned it over in her hand, "No more pain?"

"Not by our hands. You will still feel pain, Rosa. That is part of being a Legionnaire," its eyeless gaze stares down at her, "If you would still help Rethak guide it, the Legion has much need of you Rosa."

Clenching the spike in her fist she salutes and kneels before the Harbinger with head bowed, "My life is yours, Lord Jadyk. To Death and through it to Eternity, I have pledged myself. My oath still holds."

After excusing yourself the Harbinger disappears into the twisting corridors of the Charnel Vault as the trio move to the impromptu galley where several other freshly healed and awakened Legionnaires ate and spoke with a few of the Immortals. Leaving your servants to socialize and recuperate your mind turns to the report sent from the Teuthan system.

With the presence of undead throughout the system building defenses you had sent a stealth fleet to investigate the system closely. The news they have sent back is troubling.

>System: Teuthan

>Star: Yellow Medium

>Planets:

>Rocky world: A small tidally locked world that has forgone colonization due to the extreme variations of temperature between hemispheres and the powerful storms that brew as the day strikes the night.

>Honiv: A moderately large planet with a higher than normal gravity but still within comfortable ranges for most Confederate races. With a rich biosphere it was selected to be a potential farming world harvesting the local plantlife and the goal of domesticate a local species of large arthropods. A colony set near the temperate equator where only a few thousand lived and worked to shape the planet to their needs, the population supposedly mostly ecologists, engineers, xenobotanists and xenobiologists. With the planet almost equally split between sea and land the planets tides were heavily affected by the twin moons, the largest of which has a small station.

>Rocky world: With landmarks suggesting the now airless and barren world once held liquid oceans it has been left alone beyond several automated drones and shuttles performing mineral surveys for potential mining operations in the future.

>Binary ice worlds: A pair of small ice balls that share a handful of moons appear unremarkable except for the presence of active geysers on the larger shooting pillars of ice and water miles into the atmosphere making the surface hazy with atmosphere.

>Gas giant: A typical gas giant of swirling muted colors. It's largest moon possesses a small unmanned automated outpost run by a simple VI with the goal of setting the groundwork for a future fuel refinery.

>cont
>>
>>1553419
On Honiv the once lush fields of growing crops had been burned and cleared for the construction of various armored buildings and even several airstrips for the surprising large amount of shuttles and strikecraft that patrolled its orbit. Little seems to remain of the original colonys buildings, replaced in the last few days with structures that were definitely inspired by the old Grand Necrotic Armada.

The first of the ship construction pylons on its moon was completed and already the framework for sub-capital ships were being made as another pylon was being erected by the swarms of shuttles.

The rocky world was showing the presence of surface bunkers and fortifications built up over the mines exits. Anti-air defenses were detected hidden among the rocky hills and cliffs, waiting for the day they may be attacked.

The broadcast that the virtual intelligence N.I.M. was the broadcasting from the largest moon of the gas giant hadn't changed much beyond an increasing desperation and subtle deterioration in its messages. The shuttles and harvesting vehicles milled around a growing refinery on another of the moons, freighters transporting the refined fuel to Honivs moon.

While lacking the sheer numbers of the undead during the Refuge Crisis these forces did sport an impressive number of strikecraft and shuttles patrolling their space. Your stealth ships had attempted to establish a ground recon but strikecraft had swarmed in their direction as they attempted to enter the atmosphere only to fall back as the Armada forces retreated back. The Think Tanks theorize they must have some form of weak gravity or necrotic energy sensor preventing your stealth Coffins to investigate.

After the attempt a transmission was broadcast from the fortified colony on Honiv aimlessly into space. A vorh spoke over the audio transmission, their voice stilted and rough, "Attention unknown hidden vessel or vessels. You are encroaching in a restricted star system. Depart immediately or face elimination. This system is now a territory of the New Necrotic Armada."

The transmission was repeated only once more as patrols over Honiv and its moon increased.

The Think Tanks assigned to the investigation request your input for how to proceed

There are plenty of types undead historically in the galaxy and the Confederacy does not understand the Necrotic very well. Im pretty sure that if the Confederacy approaches us and points that the Rouge Immortals look just like our Immortals,we can just say that they are a relic of the Old Armada that was being planned but never finished before we were imprisoned. We can just say some shmucks stole the "blueprints" and either went crazy when changed or were killed by their creation.

One of the stealth frigates separates itself from those over Honiv and sends out its own broadcast toward the colony below. The colony and the strikecraft buzzing around it became a flurry of activity as the signal was received and the frigate appeared out of nothingness high in orbit.

"I bring grave news. I am the Harbinger of the New Necrotic Armada. I would speak with whoever claims to be in charge."

There were several moments of silence as strikecraft moved to bring the frigate within range of their weaponry but they hold back to your relief. Finally surface-to-orbit shuttle of Confederate make sends its own message in reply. Only this time the voice that comes through it is not a vorh speaking the common trade language but rather one of the ancient languages that you recognize from the old Armada.

"It seems I am not the only one to have survived the purge. To whom do do you serve, Harbinger? Red Rot? Plaguedrinker? Vyrrk? Wraith?" the voice demands as you struggle to remember which faction this language belonged to, "I suppose it matters not. Only that I am not as alone as I assumed. Will you accept and meet with my envoy? On your ship or one of mine, it matters little to me."

Whoever is control of these undead wishes to send an envoy to speak with the Harbinger in person

The words of two undead our of equal value to the Confederation:zero. They will believe that its our fault, with or without evidence, just to get something to smear us with. They would still have no evidence. The immortals dont have any evidence other then their own bodies, and any claim of theirs can be easily brushed off.
>>1553702
The Frigate. We have nothing to lose and having an emmissary enter our ship makes it feel like we are more powerful, rather then us going to them.
>>
>>1553702
>Meet on the moon

I find it odd that so many of the old armada are active now
Also that there are no remains of any conflict older than that
How cool would it be if we find a ship in the empty space between the stars that dates tens of thousands of years older than the old armada
>>
>>1553791
Could be that the Masked dredging up the remaining remnants to make things even crazier.
>>

A Coffin detaches from the frigate and slowly moves forward to meet the Confederate shuttle that approached as well. With the stealth fleet watching cautiously the two shuttle twist and dock with each other, a flexible ring of muscle securing a seal between their airlock that slide open with a hiss of pressurized air.

A Harbinger garbed in robes similar to your own hiding their armor drifts with a pair of Trolls pulling themselves through the airlocks into the shuttle. Once a cargo transport it had a relatively large cargo bay for a shuttle its size and standing awaiting the Harbinger were several undead. Zombies of human, vorh, and netu held onto the rigging of the wall, their dead eyes watching the Reconstructed closely with their weapons firmly holstered. Yet it was the unique undead that stood solidly in the cargo bay who appraised your soldiers that drew your attention.

A vaguely human skull looked at them from under its glass visor, green Necrotic flame roiling off its bones. It wore a suit of heavy armor with arms folded across their chest. They gave a short bow to the Harbinger, "I am my masters envoy. Welcome to my vessel," they reply in the standard trade language

The Harbinger returns the short but polite bow, "I am a Harbinger of my masters will."

The armored skeleton laughs, "Not gonna reveal who you work for first, eh?" they shake their head then touch the side of their helm, resembling more an environsuit rather than a protective helm, then looked back to the Harbinger, "Very well. I am the envoy of my master, Admiral Zekrul, once a grand general of the old Necrotic Armada. Who is it you serve and why have you come to our little corner of the galaxy?"

At the name you have a rush of recognition and you nearly laugh through the Harbinger. Admiral Zekrul was once an Admiral like yourself who, despite their own individual successes, never reached the level of your own success or reputation. You vaguely recall a time where their patron, a Necrotic entity that called itself the Charred God and considered one of the weaker members of the Undying Court, had dared to speak out against the Black Flame nearly leading to Voidlord Ghul paying a vengeful visit to Zekrul. You yourself had intervened on the Wormstars behalf, speaking to Ghul and convincing them that the Charred God was merely posturing to make itself feel more important.

How shall you reply to this former comrade of the Armada?

Greetings Herald of Zekrul, I am the Harbringer of the lich Lord Jadyk
It has been a long time hasn't it, how did you come to find yourself in this new age?
>>

THis, keep it casual, the charred God would be pissed I feel we used too many titles

Also could this be the first time we find a living patron of the court? A living god
>>
>>1553937
Zekrul was a servant or patron of the charred God not the actual God itself. Or that's what I got from Jadyks memory of him
>>
>>1553830
"I am the Harbinger for Lich Lord Jadyk, Champion of the Wormstar. My words are his, his voice is mine," the Harbinger gives another bow before the envoy who went rigid and tense at the names but they did not reach for the truncheon or gun at their hips.

Instead they look from the Harbinger to the two Trolls holding onto the wall behind it, "Ah yes, my master Zekrul recognizes the...Reconstructed was it? It has been...a long time since they have heard these names."

"Indeed. Lord Jadyk found himself imprisoned during the Necrotic Wars for quite some time. We were responding to reports of a colony going dark and undead roaming the surface in its place. How is it that Zekrul finds themselves in this new age?" you question through the Harbinger.

They were silent for a moment, likely communicating with Zekrul on the surface of Honiv, before replying, "Master Zekrul says that after the defeat of Lord Jadyks fleets the Crystals swept through the other undead lords. Zekrul...does not know how they were imprisoned but they were freed after the cavern they were entombed in was broken by a seismic event."

The Harbinger nods, "That is similar to Jadyk's own story. Does the Charred God still speak to Zekrul?" you ask suddenly, the envoy giving a start.

"The Charred God is dead. Same as the other members of the Undying Court. Zekrul felt them be slain, their power devoured by the Crystals," the envoy says.

The Harbinger mimics your disappointed sigh, "Lord Jadyk was hoping that was not the case."

"Master Zekrul is grateful to see that they are not the only remaining member of the old Armada and finds it amusing that both they and Lord Jadyk selected the same title for a resurrected Armada," the envoy says with a small shake of the head then looks to the Harbinger, "Master Zekrul wishes to speak directly with Lord Jadyk, either in person or through a direct line. I can escort you to Zekrul if you wish or await for Lord Jadyk to arrive."

Zekrul requests a direct contact with Jadyk

First Ruscuv, now Zekrul. Old contacts keep popping up.
I advise going personally to Zekrul, because it seems like he's an attention-hungry type (or at least, his god was). Our being there shows that we respect him, and we expect the same from him; this will undoubtedly please him.
>>

So the power of the court was eaten by the crystals
And the crystals disappeared mysteriously
And the masked showed up shortly after

>Personally visit the system
Since this guy was entombed against his will,he was likely in a state similar to ours in the begging of the quest(even weaker since he was originally weaker then Jadyk).Though he must have regained more of his former power,he has only taken a colony and seemingly not made contact with the wider galaxy. We should easily be able to take him, especially since we can use the Solar as a surprise attack.
>>

I was just saying it to remind us that we dont need to worry about a trap or sudden aggression.

"Very well. Lord Jadyk will come to visit shortly. He is looking forward to speaking with Zekrul," the Harbinger says with a small bow.

"As is Master Zekrul. They say you may keep your ship in orbit or land in the fields outside our fortress on the surface if you wish. Your vessels appear to have a stealth cloak, any others hidden in this system are welcome to land as well," the envoy gives a small bow as well, "Until we speak again, Harbinger."

With the Harbinger and Trolls returned to the Coffin the shuttles detach and drift apart. The Coffin returns to the frigate as the shuttle and the various strikecraft either descend to the surface of Honiv or resume their patrols. The frigate does not reenter stealth and enters an orbit around Honiv but the rest of the fleet maintains their positions hidden in their pockets of warped light.

As you prepared to depart the Deep Rot itself contacts you to your surprise.

<Lord Jadyk, if we may speak briefly.>

Seated in your Charnelt Vault you tap your chin with a claw, "Of course," you say outloud, a few Pilots looking back at you before turning back to their consoles.

<Are you certain this is wise? Leaving the Armada during such a tumultuous time is ill-advised. Vle'Karak has stated that Quantac'Vrix is en route to our sector while the Teuthan system will take at least two solar days to reach it. By that point the Matriarch or other Ahkam may mobilize against us and as formidable as your Generals and Ruscuv may be they will still need you guiding them to victory. Forgive our presumptions, Lord Jadyk, but we were created to help you guide your Armada and it is our decision that this decision is poorly formed. Aren't situations such as these the very reason you created the Harbingers?>

The Deep Rot itself has voiced its apprehension about you personally visiting the Teuthan system to meet Zekrul in person. This is the first time it has spoken out against any of your plans and you can sense its own apprehension for questioning your decisions.

Do you wish to continue with departing?
>Yes, travel in person
>No, rely on the Harbinger
>>
>>1554094
Tell the Envoy that there will be a delay due to battle preparations. Maybe give him a live feed of the battle to help sate any impatience.
>>
>>1554094
Tell the envoy that our meeting will need to be delayed for a few days, we would prefer to meet in person but a giant angry snake the size of a mountain wants to kill us

>>
>>1554094
And deep rot harbingers are for keeping contact or dealing with the living
The first meeting with an old member of the old armada requires a personal touch
>>
>>1554094
"Do not worry, Deep Rot, I am confident that you would be able to coordinate the New Necrotic Armada in my stead while I am indisposed. In some cases, a direct contact between old friend and potential ally is needed. Know that this decision is not based on a lackadaisical whim, but a thought-out one considering the potential eccentricities of Zekrul. If it all goes right, we may even gain an old new ally into our fold."

Cue Ahkam Matriarch jumping in while we're on a diplomatic visit, and our generals holding her back just enough so we can rally our troops and beat her and eat her Arc out.
>>
>>1554171
>eat her ark out
Jydak is not going to be unbirthed by a snake you akham fuck
Muic is
>>
>>1554094
"Perhaps I let my enthusiasm get the better of myself. You are correct, I am needed here," you agree with the Deep Rot and you can feel its relief that you were not upset with it.

<Thank you, Lord Jadyk. I believe that Ruscuv and Tlacex fleets are nearing and will be here shortly>

The frigate orbiting Honiv sends a message down to the growing fortress where it had tracked the shuttle carrying the envoy. It was an audio only message of your voice, "Forgive me, Zekrul. I feel somewhat foolish but the inevitable breakout of hostilities within my territories require me to delay our meeting for a few solar days. I can speak to you directly through my Harbinger if you wish to speak with me if you do not wish to wait. Fear not, Zekrul, I am eager to meet an old comrade face to face and will endeavor to arrive as soon as possible."

There was no reply for nearly an hour before a message is broadcast in return from a passing shuttle traveling to the moon, the voice the same one speaking the language of the Charred God you had heard when you made your initial contact "That is...regrettable, Jadyk. I understand the importance of being in the battle yourself though. The luck of the Charred God upon you."

You hoped they were not upset by the sudden change in plans so shortly after making them. Memories of Zekrul showed the undead to be more patient than his patron had been but not by much.

Grave what do we know about this guys powers? My guess from his emissary looking like a flame covered skeleton and from the name "charred god" this he specialized in area of effect necrotic abilities
That's could be very useful, he might be able to absorb ambient ark energy into necrotic better than any of our guys, or use an area of effect ability to in part null ark energy.

We might actually need this guy to help debuff the matriarch

After offering to send the Harbinger down to further explain the dangers that have arisen Zekrul replied saying they would accept the Harbingers presence once they have the time. To that end the Think Tanks reconfirm their permission and a single Coffin descends with the Harbinger and demi-Think Tank to rest in a cleared field outside the reinforced colony waiting for their signal. It did not take long for several zombified colonists to arrive and stand watch over the Coffin with a message stating that the Envoy would arrive to guide the Harbinger when the time to meet Zekrul came.

Hoping you could appease their ego you turn your mind to another subject, one less stressful and joyous.

The Deep Rots prediction was accurate, not long after speaking with you grav sensors at the edges of Horizon's Drops system send alerts of approaching ships. Several lightminutes away from Horizon's Drop there was a mass of flashing light and radiation spikes as the victorious fleets returned home. Tlacex and Ruscuv's ships were joined by several of the Obsidianborn vessels, most returning to Bastion instead.

The fleets approached, falling into orbit around Horizon's Drops moon. From its surface Vle'Karak watches the large fleet as he relaxed in the crater turned pond, tongue tasting the air as he sensed the Ahkam within Tlacex's battleship.

Seated in your Charnel Vault holoscreens of both Ruscuv and Tlacex flicker into being around the same table the attack had been planned around. They each bowed their heads before you, Tlacex glancing to where Muics image had been.

"You have both dealt grave blows against the Ahkam Dynasty. A favored daughter of Quantac'Vrix slain and devoured and another forced to surrender before their mortal vassals. Impressive feats," you congratulate the pair.

Ruscuv laughs, tendrils swaying in a relaxed motion, "A grand feast indeed. A shame I was not able to steal the Arc same as Nekris but their skull will make a fine addition to my future throne."

Tlacex leans forward somewhat, the crystalline growths indistinct in the hologram, "Have you heard from Punisher Muic? The Stonestar chieftain that joined her followed as well, wishing to learn of her fate on behalf of the Lavafather."

"We did manage to establish contact with her, however brief. She survives, stranded in the Throne system beyond the Ahkam territories. She interrogated her Ahkam prize and learned it was a desperate attempt to escape that marooned them on a moon. We have sent a fleet to retrieve her and her prize along with the the Stonestar and Obsidianborn that were dragged along with her," you say.

Ruscuv and Tlacex nod, the lich making a motion with her humanoid hand, "That is good to know. I like Muic."

"Where would you like out latest "guest" to be taken?" Tlacex questions, "Give them to Eiton to imprison or would you like to speak with them?"

What should Tlacex do with his Ahkam captive?

What we have is the only way to study every aspect both physical and spiritual if that should the right word, how the powers relate to the soul of how a power user isn't made and what makes someone a power user

We don't have to make it happen although it would save time and it would be a nice gift to Vle'Karak to be able to raise one of his own kids
With us getting more and more akham onto our side one of them will become with child. We can study the development process in detail then

At what's stage do The you need to be to reproduce? Because we might just be able to let the akham we already have mingle with each other and let nature take its course, then study the development of the new arkham whenever that happens
>>
>>1557610
Technically all the female Ahkam you have captured and faced have been "Juveniles" which is the term I use for the females that haven't reached the Matriarch stage which only a select few can actually reach.

You haven't interrogated them for what leads to a juvenile to become a Matriarch yet. You do know that it is possible for an Ahkam female to die of old age without ever becoming a Matriarch and is actually the common fate of most. It is unknown if the non-matriarch females are unable to reproduce or if they are capable but cultural taboos prevent that

>speak with her
Regardless how willing she is to serve us she will need to stay in the ark temple until we develop a better way of control or a better and more long term home can be built for her.
But it should be treated as her room not her cell. She is free to move around the less sensitive areas of the temple and its surrounding area (under supervision of course)

Lets test the captives for elemental potentials (really that should be a standard thing done in transit with new captives)
>>

>What is the difference between controlling worms And a spinal tap in terms of the strength of the control on the subject?
no noticeable difference. The difference is how they are deployed.

A Control Worm is for stealthy control of a subject without external indicators while giving them the psionic connection to you and their regenerative bonus.

The Spinal Taps provide the same bonus but are for the Legion allowing them to link up more effectively with Cauldron forged armors and technology. They also can either have emergency anti-grav harness to protect from falling damage or a torso-only hard-light armor covering

All this was in the pastebins

We'll we should really ask them about it, we can do I think when tlacex talks with the newly captured akham

I'm going to guess the akham are like Bees in this regard, with only queens or matriarchs able to lay eggs (do snakes lay eggs?) and with some substance like royal jelly needed to turn a drone female in to a queen. Although with bees the royal jelly is added in the larva stage so hatched drowns can't become queens

Come to think of it there are a lot of similarities between akham and bees, and wasn't it an insect race that uplifted the akham?

Nru'jok coiled herself into a miserable pile in the center of the chamber that was once the cell of the Ahkam Cve'jok before she was transported to the Arc Temple over Rukor. She paid little mind to the medical Reconstructed that moved across her form, their pincers and hard-light scalpels slicing away the burned flesh and slathering medical paste that fizzles as it helps stimulate the cells to regenerate. A Domination Collar was clamped firmly around her body below the hood of bladed scales, the glutton crystals pulsing faintly with her natural biorhythms.

She lifted her head and flares her hood out reflexively as the quasiphasic doors slide out of each other, allowing you to enter seated in your throne with Tlacex and Eiton following close behind. The serpent hisses faintly, eyes flicking between the three of you before locking on you as you spoke, "Welcome to the Arc Temple, Nru'jok. I am Lich-Lord Jadyk of the Wormstar. I believe you already know my herald, Illuminator Tlacex," you say with a motion to the large undead who stood with arms folded across his chest, "And this is Predator Eiton, a fellow Arc manipulator," you introduce the Predator who stares up at the serpent with his large unblinking eye.

Tongue flitting out to taste the air as her head sways slightly from side to side, "I am Nru'jok. You are the one your monster calls master?" she questions, Tlacex's beak pulling back from his teeth in a snarl but you wave him off.

"Indeed I am. And I am the one that you will be calling master. You yielded to Tlacex, pledged to serve me for the rest of your days. I am here to make certain you know how severe that pledge is. Tell me, how would your mother Quantac'Vrix react should you come before her and tell her that you yielded and vowed to pledge your life to an undead monstrosity?" you question her, fingers interlinked resting your chin on them while leaning forward in your throne.

The serpent was silent for a time and cast her gaze away to coil herself up, the medical Reconstructed moving in annoyance as she interrupted them, "She would rip my scales from my body, tear the Arc from me and cast me out into the void," she says with a deadpan voice but continues, "What she would do to you will be much, much worse," she says with a hint of malice to her words only for her to let out a choking gasp as the Domination Collar sends her body into a convulsing fit of searing pain.

With a wave of your hand you let the sensation fade from her and the serpent's tense body relaxes as she pants heavily. Your throne lifts up closer to her, "You are confident in her powers. While I have no reason doubt the strength of a Matriarch, she and all her family will discover they are not as invulnerable as you would like to believe."

Was there anything specific you wished to speak to her about?

How likely are the other matriarchs to intervene if we defeat Quantac'Vrix and conquer the remaining Akham worlds in this sector?

Hold on, so are you saying we can make an artificial womb or something equivalent to it and grow akham?
Because the entire purpose of studying a developing akham is is the only way to study a developing power user and know it is a power user. The only reason the experiment will use akham is because they are always ark users

So from the way you said that then study of this stuff will be in a lab because no lewd that would have to mean an akham made this way would have the power ark.
Witch means we have the ability to make ark users
We could make an army of ark users
Or if they take too long to reach fighting age we could just use them as an never ending source of of ark power to super charge our ark users

We wanted more void disciples immediately, we had some void potential people am dead we wanted to make them disciples right away
Grave said it would not work
"To use a power they need a spark. once they gain that power the spark becomes a flame. The more they use that power And the more energy they drain the bigger the flame. The flame needy to be big indeed to survive getting quenched by the cauldron. It's like the difference between dumping a cup of water on a candle or a campfire. One would be put out completely, the other would steam but still burn"

At least that's how my tired mind remembers it

"Tell me, child of Quantac'Vrix, what do you know of my Armada? What tales do your family share in hushed whispers? What do your servants and spies say of our power?" you ask, meeting her stare with empty sockets.

She was silent for a time, only shifting to allow the medics access too the flesh that had been burned and corroded in her battle with Tlacex. Finally she spoke, her voice cautious and controlled, "With the deaths of our kin, we know you are powerful. The fact that we've traced their deaths to you when the initial intelligence suggested it was the Empire becoming emboldened, proves you are devious and admittedly skilled in deception. Even my mother fell for it when my siblings and cousins were slain.

"When I saw the wounds she sported after she returned, saw her injured more than she had ever been, I knew it could not be the Void Tyrants. Their weaponry is a mere annoyance to a Matriarch but these were more than mere Confederate entropic weapons that injured her. After seeing the undead leap from their shattered vessels to claw and tear at her even as they were shaken off into the void or incinerated without care, we knew the Necrotic was returning in strength," she ruminated only to let out a bitter chuckle, "We dared think the Arc Surge was an omen that told us to retaliate against you and the Empire. I myself was to lead my fleet against the heretic Stonestar and Ructu until your Herald interrupted my departure," she says with a glance to Tlacex who only grinned back at her.

"What do your strategists know of our strength?" Eiton asks, taking a step forward as he rests his hands on the hilts of the Ahkam blades at his hips.

The serpent looks at him, tongue flitting out several times before she looks back to you, "Our strategists believe your Armada relies on harvestable biomass. That while many of your units may be the reanimated remains of your dead enemies the majority must be created through some, "necrobiological nanomolecular construction process", as it was explained to me by one of the esat scientists. Said it was more advanced than the cyborgs the Confederates send after us.

"It is assumed that the Obsidianborn's rapid progress from primal elementals into starfaring adversary was because of your interference, an assumption we confirmed after our spies revealed the presence of obvious hybrids between the Obsidianborn and your undead on the battlefield of Kanda displaying their geokinetic powers. I'm certain you've made this assumption already but the Obsidianborn and that Lavafather the stonestar worship are among my mothers targets for elimination for their heresy. I was only going to be the first wave, the vanguard to test the defenses," she says, resting her chin on a burnt coil of her body.

"We are uncertain of your fleet strengths but after reviewing our past conflicts, your invasion of the B'Nan, Clour, and Refuge systems our strategists believe your production capabilities to be...quite impressive or that you have been stockpiling warships for decades. We also know of your habit of using captured ships of the Empire and our own to goad each other into combat," she lets out another bitter chuckle, "A simple, deceptive, primitive, but very effective strategy it seems. It's been a matter of shame for us and our mother who fell for the ruse."

"You almost sound like you admire us," Tlacex says with a chuckle.

The serpent looked to him with one eye, "I am not so foolish as to deny somethings strength. You may think us Ahkam as megalomaniacs blinded by our own power but it was through our cunning that we built our Dynasties. We know the threat you possess, not only do you manipulate the Necrotic, our eternal bane, you have stolen the Arc for your creations as well as the Void," her tongue flits out in your direction as she lifts her head somewhat, "I can even taste the Solar within you, some thing that is as big a paradox as an Arc and Void hybrid. I know to fear you, even the Arc Surge betrayed me for you," she says, tongue thick with betrayal.

Eiton glances at you then to Nru'jok, "What do you mean?"

She looks at him incredulously, the empathic sensors in the walls of the cell picking up on her confusion, "When I faced Tlacex," she glances at the Illuminator, "I could not reach the Arc Surge. I only had at my own regular strength to call upon..." she goes silent for a moment in thought, "No matter how desperately I reached out to it, to draw it into myself as I had earlier that day but something...hindered me," she looks to Tlacex firmly, "Are you telling me it was not you who hindered me?"

Tlacex was rubbing a finger under his beak in thought, "I had thought your strength wasn't as strong as it could have been with the Surge. When I first boarded your vessel I thought your signal was stronger than it was when we fought. Beyond my natural ability to consume the Arc around me, I don't believe I have such a gift as you describe."

"Nor do I," Eiton says.

Nru'jok hisses in anger, the blades of her hood flexing, "Then something held me back!" she snarls then looks to you as you slowly lift your hand and she quickly forces herself to calm as she feels a spasm of pain ripple through her, "I am left with two conclusions, Lich Lord. Firstly, either something or someone hindered my ability to connect to the Arc Surge," she says only for the sensors to detect a rush of melancholy wash over her, "Or the Arc itself has forsaken me in favor of you," she barely gets out before letting her head drop onto a coil of her form.

>cont

>>1558530
"Either way, there is nothing that can change the outcome of that battle now. Rest and heal, Nru'jok. There is still much we have to discuss including how you be serving my Armada," you bow your head and the serpent stares back at you then gives a short nod before you depart with your generals.

Once the doors slide into each other once more and lock at the molecular level you look to Eiton, "Have you felt anything through the Arc yourself?"

His eye turns down as he taps his chin with a talon then shakes his head, "Only the Surge. Although I have not meditated on it as much as I could have, I will look into it with my Disciple."

"Thank you, Eiton. Speak with Vle'Karak, he may have some insights," you say and the Predator gives a wary nod and you look to Tlacex, "You continue to perform admirably, Illuminator. This is one of the more talkative and informative Ahkam guests we have entertained, a good catch."

The Illuminator salutes and grins, "She is my gift to the Armada and the Predator Order," he says turning to give a polite bow of his head to Eiton who laughs and returns it.

Results of elemental potentials:
>5 Arc
>2 Necrotic
>2 Solar
>2 Void

Of their number the Think Tanks believe at least one of both the Arc and Solar potentials, an esat and kosda respectively, are capable of being made into Disciples if a member of their elemental order where to personally attend to their Reconstruction.

Reconstruct the Arc and Solar potentials into Disciples while the others join the Legion branches of their respective elemental orders?
>Y/N
>>
>>1558264
>>1558486
It is easiest to turn an already practicing energy manipulator into a Disciple or hero Reconstructed because their physical forms are already attuned to their elemental power.

An elemental potential that shows enough promise does have the chance to be remade with their elemental powers infused into them.

This is what happened with Eiton as his "source material" was an Arc potential that Nekris instinctively detected before Jadyk was able to fine tune the process of searching someone for elemental sparks.

The same thing happened with Nekris, his source Clanship Captain Krotur was a similar Arc potential that carried into his Reconstruction, allowing him to steal the Arc from the Ahkam.

Similar situations have occurred throughout history, most familiarly with Necromancers unlocking their powers through exposure to Necrotic energies. You also knew of Void manipulators that joined the Black Flame and other Void entities who discovered their powers through similar means in the old Armada.

I think that the next Illuminator should actually be composed of a both warriors and priests.from our own loyal subjects, rather than a reconstructed enemy.

There aren't any Osogo or Stonestar who stand out besides Klikli and Red-Leaf-Strains (am I getting those right?), but they're both becoming potent necromancers in their own right. There's also the Ructu and those tripod-folks from Calera to consider.

Our generals have mostly been reconstructed from the Osijic. I'd like a little more variety.

It's didn't work for dead matriarchs because there is already a pantheon for living gods, but all the undead gods where killed leaving a vacuum.

I finally catch up in the archive and I am reading the ask.fm, and I notice the part where the Netu fleets sometimes trade or even purchase ships from other factions. Once the Wormstars Fist is completed maybe we could sell them ships and retrofit their current ones.
>>
>>1562839
Definitely possible, but if they begin trucking around in ships of our design I believe it won't be long until they lose their neutrality in the eyes of other factions. For their sake it's something we should be careful with. >>1563826

Why? We have no need for money, instead we can't trade captured ships of one faction to a different one for them to try and reverse engineer stuff

>>
>>1567468
Just to win some point with them; they seems to have issue finding and producting ship; helping them with this issue could soften our relation with them.
>>
>>1568985
We have pretty great relation with the pirates. But I can see what you are saying.

Problem is, that we will be giving ships made with our tech and others could study and reverse engineer it
>>
>>1569135
The question I was asking was just about that : to wich point can we mimic their technology ? If we can build ship for them, with some minor upgrade ( or of tech we intend to give them anyway); that would be perfect. Same about the Clanship, if we are sure that they would take it like a gift and not as a insult, we could build them some.
