Whats up my favorite bunch of sadistic murder-aliens. CursedQm is back and ready to party. Last time we started asserting our control over Echo station and eliminated not 1 but 2 Android kill teams and took control over Delta deck and a large portion of Main deck. We may have some company soon however.

Main deck is slowly becoming another section of your hive. The armory lies in ruins, the doors splintered and slugged, the interior a mess of blood and chunks of still twitching androids.

Resin creeps along the walls, propagated by the slowly growing Hive node, the pulsating lump of tissue leeching moisture and nutrients from the air and using that to fuel the growth.

Your forces advance toward the last major StrongPoint on main deck, the shuttle bay. Preliminary Recon from the shadow team reveals that the androids and humans are dug in thoroughly, spotlights revealing the nearby hallways and the duct entrances welded shut with sheets of steel. Barricades of welded panels and tables sit at the crossroads to the shuttle bay entrance. As your scouts watch a Ex-suit stomps by, a pair of modified cutting torches fitted to its claws and flickering softly. It seems they are determined not to lose this position.

Going straight down the middle would be a massacre, and attacking from all directions would just spread our forces and increase their kill count.
Use our incinerators to target the Ex-suits and our AcidCasters to target the humans with the heavy weaponry (all of this behind a defensive wall of Guardians)

One of your shadows creeps along the hallway to the right of the fortified position, scuttling loudly and rattling the pipes and grates attached to the floor and ceiling, screeching loudly and darting in and out of eyesight.

The response is immediate. With cries of
"Contact!"
"Splatter that fucking bug!"
"Opening fire!"

The entire side of the formation lights up with muzzle flash, more and more of the defenders piling onto that side to pour bullets onto the rapist retreating Shadow.

"Woo! Yeah! Fuck you bug!"
"Contact lost. Resuming duties"
"Fuck you too bolts! We got that lil shit"
"Hostile lifeform sigh-"

"SCREEEE!!!!"

With a cry of rage your Guardians and heavy warriors fall upon the defenders from their unguarded side. Smashing aside the barricades they slash wildly, rending synthetic and natural flesh with equal ferocity. AcidCasters and incinerators fire through the gaps in their shields, engulfing the defenders from the rear in tides of fire and acid.

The defenders attempt to rally, falling back and opening fire on your Guardians, splatters of hissing blood dotting the ground as their relatively soft backs are targeted.

Your warriors and drones scramble over the barricades, claws ripping weapons from hands and heads from shoulders. Tail blades sweep and slash, spilling blood and fluid in equal measures. Several drones fall and lay in mewling piles or simply very still.

Dutch advances through their lines, heedless of injury, bullets pepper his hulking form as he slings aside those that oppose him. His claws rend entire bodies, leaving their former owners to collapse in piles.

The Ex-Suit pilot bears down on a wounded Warrior only to be clubbed aside by a heavy warrior. The brute roars in rage, locking its claws around the suits arms as it attempts to bring the cutting torches to bear.

"FUCK.... You FUCK! Gaaaaaahhhh!!!"
Yells the unfortunate pilot as his torches are forced back to fire into his face. The scent of burning flesh rapidly fills the hall as his Ex-suit teeters and falls.

Eventually your forces push them back to the shuttle bay doors, a ring of bloodsoaked faces and half empty weapons facing a swarm of furious Xenomorphs.

Bullets carve chips and gouges from the shields as the heavy Xenomorphs advance, their growls and hisses almost drowned out by the gunfire.

The humans and androids alike are consumed by a rolling green fireball as they are doused in the volatile chemicals. Skin melts and sloughs off the bones before the split under the immense heat. Androids simply boil away, sinking into puddles of bubbling slag. Ammunition left unexpended cooks off in the blaze, small pops sounding off as your Xenomorphs move their wounded and dead begin feasting on the fallen humans.

You peel aside a welded grate covering and drop into a secluded storage room. You can hear hushed voices from nearby. You can also hear a gurgling growl and shuffling coming from further into a unlit passageway. The steady tramp of boots is approaching from the right

You creep along the ceiling of the hallway, your shadows following while the rest of your team retreats into the ducts. The sticky pads of your feet glue to the metal, anchoring you as securely as if you were on the floor.

As you advance shapes become apparent to you, strange forms crouching over the body of a human in a stained jumpsuit, tearing away pieces of flesh. They seem to be several differing species yet they work together for the benefit of their makeshift "pack"

You twist in the air, one of the needle sharp darts carving a furrow in your shell as they embed themselves in the metal ceiling.

You dig your claws into the creatures hide as you impact, your strong limbs holding it until your shadows help immobilize it with resin.

The Quillbacks growls are silenced by a leaping facehugger and the creature falls into its final sleep.

They chatter in excitement as the parts are pulled away and inspected by deft fingers, voices arguing and coming to consensus in the hivemind.

Their joy as one of the shells is popped open, the rounded buckshot within thoroughly inspected by claw and tongue.

The Builders rejoice as their inspection comes to an end, the fearful human weapon is dismantled completely and tossed idly into a corner.

Your builders drag a protesting warrior into their lair of chitin and metal, pinning the struggling xenomorph in place with restraints of molded resin.

The voice of the Queen descends upon its mind and pushes it into the deep of slumber. When the warriors struggles cease the builders begin their intricate work.

Chitin and flesh are peeled away by razor claws exposing the delicate nerves and intricate muscles. The eager builders spin carefully mixed resin into strands of Biomechanical muscle and bone. Crafting specialized tissue and organs into a rounded shell of chitin over the drones forelimb.

Shortly afterwards the drone awakes and begins inspecting its new limb. At the urging of the Builders it takes aim at a resin encrusted barrel a short distance away.

With a deep thump of pressurized gas a burst of razor sharp shards of hardened chitin fly through the air, embedding themselves deep into the metal. The weapon shifts and hisses as air is pressurized again and new shards are grown in moments and pushed into position.

Lead and flame pour into the gap as the massive claws pull harder, a gap larger than a man appearing as they heave again. A particularly brave (or stupid) human charges forward, firing his shotgun as he approaches, hefting a homemade explosive

With a wet ripping sound the top half of the mans body simply dissolves into wet chunks, shards of chitin as sharp as razors and the size of a mans hand whistle through the air before burying into the barricades.

A wall of chitin shields begin pressing through the gap as the heavies extend it even further, the bulky Flechette cannons mounted on their limbs thumping repeatedly. Man and machine alike are thrown back in torn pieces, heads and torsos shredded into chunky paste.

The rest of your warriors and drones pour in behind the guardians as they fire again and again, opening large gaps in the defensive perimeter.

You climb into the gap and take a moment to asses the situation as Dutch and Newt lead their respective squads into battle

Newt leaps to the ceiling, a pair of shadows filling him as he scurries along. The few humans that notice his squad take potshots as they approach but the untrained humans can't even land a hit.

You whip your tail as you leap out of cover, a flurry of needles flying through the air and burying themselves in the chest of a man who stood a bit too far from the barricade. He collapses with a mouthful of blood, his heart and lungs perforated.

Newt advances, screeching diabolically as he scurries along the ceiling to the human barricade, dropping behind their lines and lashing out with tail and claw.

A android turns and readies a shotgun but collapses into a twitching heap with a 6 inch needle protruding from his skull. Any that turn to fire upon the elusive shadow are peppered by flechettes, raked by claws or studded with quills.

Dutch roars in rage and pain as he is peppered with bullets, his thick acidic blood splattering the ground in emerald droplets as he bears down on a group of Humans. His claws rise and fall, lit by snapshots of muzzle flash as the ceiling and walls are coated in blood like ruby paint.

With terrified screams the remaining humans break and run, firing back as they run, wounding more of their own number than yours.

The fleeing humans may have expected or hoped for your forces to be occupied with feasting on the fallen and dragging the captives back to the nest.

They are wrong.

Your warriors and drones sprint along the hallways like wolves, leaping on any human that falls behind the main group and bearing them to the ground.

You flick your tail and a human goes down screaming, pawing at the needles protruding from his back. Another flick and a man staggers, gripping the barbed point emerging from his thigh before he is impaled on your claws.

With a leap and a twist a shower of needles fills the hallway ahead of you, the humans within range flopping bonelessly as they are completely skewered by dozens of the darts.

The unprepared humans of Beta deck had counted on their (supposedly) lethal killzone to defend them. The rest of the Deck is woefully, no, laughably, undefended.

Screaming humans scatter before your rampaging troops, claw and tail rending the limbs from bodies of those who try to fight.

A valiant few androids and humans attempt to put up a token resistance but they are swept aside barely with any notice. Many die with their weapons fully loaded and eyes open as the chitinous tide sweeps over them.

The massive bulkhead doors leading to Alpha deck slide closed ahead of a large crowd of scientists being forced back by burst of small arms fire

We do NOT want them near our glorious queen. Shield wall, shread them in open combat with flechette arms, caster projectiles, Quiet's quills, and incinerators. When they retreat send the heavies after them and let the drones/shadows flank.

Have them enter mess hall with a drone moving about making noise. Then have the walls come alive with the guardians moving to push the marines through the hole(s) bruce and the heavies made in earlier assault. Have heavies waiting on that side and crush the humans between shield and fury.
Sidenote, I really enjoy strategy and group tactics, thank you for running best quest. Quiet picture eventually.

Seems interesting but a little wonky right now. Probably have to build up to that point. Start smaller perhaps? Give a facehugger a shock body similar to an electric eel to help immobilize its prey. Then when the new xeno comes out it can generate a stronger field, immobilizing any creature that it comes into contact with for short bursts. Then for mutations perhaps stronger/lethal shock, and the jel organ then a jel shooter. The orbalisk idea seems something for a queen of a colony to protect itself with honestly.

The Squads of Colonial Marines move through the resin encrusted hallways slowly, weapons sweeping side to side to illuminate the darkened passages. Here and there a relic of the former inhabitants can be seen jutting from the inky black substance.
Here a coffee cup, a chair, a spent and cracker rifle, a shattered skull. The Marines breath hisses in their respirators as they make their way through the Alien environment.

"This is fucked man... Fucked. We just got their last message what.. A week ago? Week and a half? Picked up that distress beacon three days ago? This... This couldn't have happened THIS fast"

"The fuck are these eggheads fooling with on this station?"

"Stow it marines!"

"I got a bad feeling here boss. I can feel it. Dios mio... Bad juju here"

The group moves on, a pair of Marines armed with bulky weapons held from harnesses move to the front of the patrol, activating small displays on their helmets.

The Marines push further into Main deck, further into Hive Territory. The Temperature rises as they go, stinking water dripping from the ceiling and gathering in murky pools on the floor.

The Squads of Marines charge into the devastated mess hall, the shattered doors and barricades funneling them into a tight group as they bring their rifles to bear on the single drone leaping around the far side of the room.

Your drone rapidly begins leaping and dodging the bursts of bullets flying in its direction. It manages to wriggle into a gap in the wall and mostly escape. A burst of fire from a autogunner clips off the end of its tail im a spray of acidic blood.

The marines chuckle and highfive each other for a moment in self celebration before a chorus of distant screeches catch their ears

Whatever the marines plan was becomes irrelevant as your Guardians and heavy warriors peel themselves from the walls silently. The first few marines simply cease to be as the close range shredder shots evaporate them from the boots up. Warriors and Drones begin pouring from the vents and walls from all directions, popping through the ceiling and floors to drag away screaming marines.

Globs of acid, shards of razor sharp chitin and bursts of flame fly amid bullets, slugs and grenades as the marines formation dissolves under the assault. A bulky Autogunner fires wildly into the onrushing storm before falling with a long chitin quill protruding from his eye. He collapses to his back, his nerveless fingers firing into the ceiling until the barrel slags.

Heavy warriors wade into the group behind Dutch, brutally strong blows cleaving men into wet chunks, claws piercing bodies and leaving them to choke on their own blood. Dutch weaves in and out of his foes, wounds forgotten as he slashes and strikes, ripping flesh and shattering bone with every movement.

The Guardians fire again and again, pulping the Marines who fire ineffectually against the chitin bulwark raised against them. Men and women alike are eviscerated by the flying blades, arms and legs are severed into gushing stumps and others collapse pale faced, staring at the shards perforating their heart.

The marines fall back into a tighter circle, firing in all directions as they attempt to break free of the ambush

"Cap! Cap we gotta get out of here!"

The Remnants of the marine squad manage to pierce your swarm, leaving their wounded and dead to your predations. They flee back towards the shuttle bay, back towards perceived safety..

"Ok boys and girls... Ok. Lets get our fucking heads on straight. We've taken massive casualties from a vastly superior enemy than we were led to believe. We need to get back to the shuttle and regroup and rearm, well need a hell of a lot more support to fry these bugs"

A chorus of "SIR YES SIR"''s ring out as the marines trembling hands still, taking their positions as they begin the process of resuitting.

"Contact!"

The Facehugger never falter once in their furious, greedy charge. Your warriors and guardians would falter in the face of such opposition yet the Facehuggers advance into the jaws of death.

The marines stand their ground, firing in short bursts into groups of the crawling horrors, shredding their fragile bodies. Grenades and flames arc out over the hastily prepared barricades, rendering the last of the swarm to smoking, twitching gore

The grizzled leader of the marines turns in one fluid movement, drawing a broad bladed combat knife from his belt as he whirls, flinging it just as the slightly scorched Facehugger leaps. The razor sharp knife buries itself in the center of the unfortunate creatures body, nailing it to the wall as it twitches softly, its acidic blood burning through the blade slowly.

The Marines begin their sprint to the Shuttle, their heavier weapons abandoned in their flight. Behind them comes a swarm of chitin, flechettes and bullets flying in both directions as fire is exchanged. Humans and drones tumble and fall, blood of both kinds boiling in the vacuum of the spaced shuttle bay.

The marines pile onto the on ramp, firing wildly as the hydraulics slowly close the metal gate. Your warriors attempt to advance and dodge at the same time, several silently squealing as their bodies are nicked by bullets.

With a solid *clang* that can be felt through the floor the door shuts, cutting a fallen marine in half at the waist. Your warriors and drones begin crawling over the shuttle desperately, searching for a way in.

The shuttle engines begin spinning up, super heated gas flowing through the exhaust as the shuttle begins their liftoff procedure. The humans mean to escape, scattering your hive among the stars.

Not so fast.

Shredder Guardians and AcidCasters begin firing repeatedly into the engines, chitin shards and acidic globs shattering and burning away delicate components.

With a burst of flame and shrapnel the engines blow, ripping themselves apart in the violent crash of metal. The shuttle drops back down to the deck forlornly

Your incinerators clamber aboard the shuttle, tapping their claws along the metal, searching for weak spots in the hull.

Your forces screech silently in the vacuum, clawing at the metal and tearing away pieces of the softer portions and exposing the delicate wiring beneath.

Success!

Your Incinerators adjust the outflow of their flame limbs, narrowing the flame until its a white hot cone of plasma only a few inches long. They begin aiming the jets into a seam in the hull, sparks and slag slipping onto the floor of the shuttlebay.

Air rushes out through the gap as the metal is melted away into nothingness. The heavy warriors leap into action, prying the weakened sheet of metal back with their massive claws. Inside several marines are clawing at their throats and their vac-masks as other who reacted faster are firing their weapons in the silence of the vacuum.

Your guardians and Flechette warrior move up into the gap again, laying down suppressive fire on the hunkered marines as Dutch's commando team approaches. They avoid the gap however, moving up toward the nose of the craft.

Shards of chitin whirl through the vacuum, burying themselves in torsos and heads as marines peek from cover, blind firing over the rims of their seats and the bodies of the fallen.

One pops up, hefting a thick black tube as the others take covering positions on him. A puff of smoke is the only warning your Guardians have before they are flung aside by a wave of heat, their chitin warped and cracked by the detonation. The Flechette warrior tumbles away in several pieces, its body limp and torn

Your Acidcasters move up to the gap, lobbing globules of acid into the Marines cover, the caustic liquid burning through their vac-suits and venting the precious atmosphere as they collapse, clawing at their throats.

Those that manage to fire off a few rounds toward your units are shocked to see a tide of drones and warriors pouring through the gap, heedless of bullets. One marine breaks away from the formation and runs backward, firing wildly as he retreats. He thinks into a solid, fleshy barrier and looks behind himself slowly. A snarling maw of chitin and hate looks down at the quaking marine before a sweeping claw severs his head from his shoulders.

His decapitated body flies backward, propelled by a powerful kick into the other Marines as Dutch and his commandos rip into their unprotected rear. The marine commander attempts to rally his men, firing his assault rifle at Dutch but the hulking Predalien lifts a struggling marine in one powerful claw, the mans body perforated by bullets as Dutch advances.

The commander tosses his empty rifle aside, falling back and pumping the trigger rapidly as Dutch tosses aside the leaky marines corpse. A single bullet slams home in Dutch's shoulder before the Predaliens razor sharp claws slam home in the Captains chest. The grizzled human is lifted high in front of Dutch's maw as he spits blood against his mask, his mouth working soundlessly.

Seconds later his body flops to the floor in two pieces, blood boiling on the floor in crimson pools. The Colonial marines detachment has been utterly annihilated...

Dutch actually has pretty decent stealth abilities. He is a devastating close quarters fighter with a massive amount of damage absorption. His stats put him at the durability of a heavy warrior only much more agile.
