A Coffins descends to the moon of Horizon's Drop transporting an important cargo. The moonscape was quite different from when you first set foot on it in your attack against the Dagger base. Once barren and pale its surface was now a den of activity as shipyards build and repair starships and hangars filled to the brim with Nails and Gunships waiting for the day that an enemy may arrive.

The Coffin entered a hangar carved into the side of a cliff and landing gently to open its cargo door. Dirges floated forward to gently lift the cargo, a pair of med-pods each with an osjiic inside, and carry them to separate hovercraft.

Standing nearby were Predator Eiton and Voidknight Lorgul who watched the arrival of the pair. Lorgul looked into the med-pod containing the Voidsinger, "A strong one. Probably won't have be a Disciple for long."

Eiton nods as he approaches the pod containing Orvca, "Orvca was one of those I considered to be a potential Predator. Disciplehood will prove if I was right."

The Voidknight chuckled, "I'm sure Nekris would approve," he said and glanced at Eiton only to clack his teeth as the Predator went silent, "Eiton, do not mope. Nekris was my brother as well. He was a warrior, not as strong as I of course, but he was formidable and knew that death is a possibility for all. Even for us forged and created from the deaths of others. All we can do is continue to fight and move on," he started to feel somewhat self-conscious, the Voidknight rarely speaking so much.

Eiton chuckles and nods, "You are right, brother. All I can do is attempt to build the Predator Order into something he would be proud of," he hops onto the hovercraft, "Let us go induct our new recruits. Make our orders stronger."

Lifting onto his own hovercraft next to the med-pod with a rippled of voidlight Lorgul laughs, "Wormstar guide you, brother," he says as the craft quickly move off into the miles of tunnels that honeycombed the moon, each heading toward their own temples to welcome their living students into undeath.

Across Armada space fleets amassed their strength as their undead commanders contacted each other. Similar to the round-table discussion that occurred shortly before each Reconstructed general spoke with holograms of the others.

Lich Ruscuv hunkered down before the table in her own battleship she had taken to calling her Palanquin until she could convince Jadyk to build her her own Flagship. Tendrils twisting with excitement for the coming battles she looked at the holo-displays showing the information of the nearby Ahkam systems, "Which shall we hunt? I am excited to begin," she says and looks to the holograms of Illuminator Tlacex and Punisher Muic.

Tlacex, seated in his own battleship he hadn't named yet, motions to the displays, "Tura has most of their fleets gathered around Tura'Ve with a generous amount of Ahkam Arc signatures detected. This system will likely be their forward base considering it is the closest to both our territory and the Empires."

Muic highlights the Rolan system, her own Pyroclastic Destroyer gathering both Obsidianborn and Armada ships around itself in a large fleet, "The Ahkam seem to be stopping here in Rolan, specifically the palace on Plecfo's moon before heading to Tura. The Obsidianborn believe that due to the large amount of Ahkam Arc signatures, not to mention the heavy warship presence, this must be quite important to the Ahkam in this sector. Thanks to the Eyegores and the Obsidianborns constant raids we could deep-strike at their forces there bypassing the defenses in the asteroid belt."

Which system should they strike at the Ahkam serpents?
>Tura - Attack the Ahkam inside their command ships
>Rolan - Attack the Ahkam Palace on their fortified moon
>Other (write-in)
>>

>Tura - Attack the Ahkam inside their command ships
>>
>>1483386
In the Tura system the Eyegore has detected at least six unique Ahkam Arc signatures ranging in strength.

The Ahkam Palace in the Rolan system has at least ten unique signatures with three in the warships defending it
>>
>>1483386
Its tempting to go after the Palace, but we cannot guarantee that we could take it before reinforcements from Tura arrive. It wont end the Akham threat in the sector, but it will make the final assault easier(or not).
>Tura - Attack the Ahkam inside their command ships
>>
If any anons are just lurking,it wouldn't hurt to support a proposal if you have non of your own to give.
>>
>>1483386
Let us hit Rolan and break whatever it is they care so much about. If we have any large nukes or such weapons in our ships, we should flt in and deathstar the palace, then skirimsh some. If they send soldiers from Tura to fight us then we can send more forces to tura for a hit and run while our main fleet escapes.
>>
>>1483386
Tura
>>
>>1483386
Ruscuv taps her fingers along the table-top in thought before finally speaking, "Tura will be our target. Will be easier to crack open the shell of a capital ship than the shell of a moon-palace. I think Lord Jadyk would like to help with that one in the future," she says and the other two nod.

"Very well, Tura'Ve is our target," Muic says and already her fleet begins departing from Bastion and entering FTL.

"This shall be an event the Chitin Choir sings about for ages to come," Tlacex says with excitement as his own fleet departs from Refuge while Ruscuvs leaves the B'Nan system.

With the three fleets en route for Tura you silently wish them luck with a short prayer to the Wormstar before you turn your attention to other matters. Your mind slots into the body of a Harbinger, the Reconstructed twitching slightly as it hovered next to Red-Leaf-Strains on the outskirts of Iti'a'Ropku.

She turns her head, seeming to sense your mind as she bows her head, "Welcome, Lord Jadyk. How fares Jor and the Commander? Is Klikli alright?" she questioned, betraying her concern for her fellow necromancers and the osjiic.

The Harbinger nods, a hand gently patting her elbow, "I cannot say they are whole, but they are well. Their mission succeeded and now the liberation of Refuge becomes a matter of clean-up and rebuilding," the Harbinger turns its head to look at the crowd gathered behind them.

Osogo who had already arrived dotted the large gathering, looming over the crowd as they awaited their kin. Armadan citizens had turned out in abundance, many of the former slaves of Kanda showing up to welcome the osogo as they themselves had been welcomed by the large natives. There were several tents of woven chitin where Reconstructed and living chefs prepared a veritable feast for the newcomers and the crowd. Even a number of pirates were present enjoying the festivities along with the first batches of Necrolyte Legionnaires sent back from Refuge for a much deserved break. Captain Troma stood nearby speaking with a handful of Armada esat citizens about the merits of cloudracing, an ancient and very dangerous Netu practice from their homeworlds.

"That is good to hear," she says and lifts her head to gaze down the slopes of the mountain along the wide road carved through it paved with cobblebone.

"Does something trouble you?" the Harbinger questions with your voice, its empathic sensors detecting a pangs of guilt under her excitement for the arrival of the pilgrims.

She was silent for a time, one hand gripping the large Reaver Staff that few among the Armada could lift unhindered. Finally she spoke, "I understand my duties are important, Lord Jadyk. I am very thankful and honored you trust me so much to welcome those that live under the Armada. Never did I imagine I would step on other worlds to meet the ructu or welcome those freed from slavery on a distant harsh world to give them hope and a new home. I have no regrets about that.

"Just a momentary wish that I could have been there to help Jor and Klikli even though I know I am no warrior like they are," her ears flit back then forward in a motion of amusement, "A protective instinct I suppose," she says while reaching up to pet the Gargoyle perched on her shoulder along its neck, the Reconstructed pressing into it affectionately

In the distance you could sense the convoy of hovercraft carrying the large herd of osogo rapidly approaching but you turn the Harbinger to Red-Leaf-Strains, "It is an admirable trait. Your desire to protect those you care about and to see them flourish is partially why I gave you these responsibilities. I have come to rely on your ability to tend to and guide those that wish to join us."

"Thank you, Lord Jadyk," she says, bowing her head then lifting it, eyes squinting into a smile as her excitement and jovial mood rebounded, "Let us welcome these newcomers and show them the light of the Wormstar."

Nodding you both turn to look down the path as the convoy emerges from around a ridge and cheers began to rise up from the crowd as they noticed. Several Drakes sailed over the hovercraft carrying the massive osogo, three herds from the plains, swamps and the shores. They had come, hearing the word of the Wormstar and the holy city of Iti'a'Ropku, guided by their dreamstone artifacts and Gargoyles or approached by Red-Leaf-Strains sisters who had eagerly picked up the worship of the Wormstar despite their lack of Necrotic potential.

The osogo were eagerly welcomed by the citizens of the Armada and their guests. The weary pilgrims were cautious at first but the reassurances from osogo already acclimated and the words of Red-Leaf-Strains eased their fears and soon they were sharing food and drink with those that came to greet them. Their injured and sick were attended to by other osogo and living medics while the elderly were guided to a covered tent where they could rest their tired forms on large cushions that dwarfed even an osjiic. The osogo young were the quickest to enjoy the journey's end, playing with other osogo and Armadan youth.

Iti'a'Ropku's population grows ever more.

Across Iti'a'Ropku another Harbinger drifts into the Floral Quarter where the Armatocere guests continued to enhance their living space, the air humid and warm despite the snowdrifts surrounding the city. Plants from alien worlds lined the paths of cobblebone, small creatures you recognized through the Harbinger on Yrre-1 flitting from tree to tree or perching among the brush of colorful leaves.

You find Sapling Slrrt near the center of the park where their Treeship towered over the canopy having a conversation with one of the Solar initiates, a mindvine that has a small mote of solar flame bobbing above its "head" and crest of leaves. It was one of Sur-Quros tests for the initiates having them maintain a steady flame without it growing out of control or fading away. The Harbinger could taste their chemical conversation in the air as it neared, the pair finally noticing its approach. Holding back you have the Reconstructed wait as they quickly wrapped up their discussion, the mindvine curling its vines in their version of a sign of respect to the Harbinger before slithering off still maintaining the mote of flame.

Sapling Slrrt bends their main stalk in a bow, their voicebox crackling, "Hello, forgive the delay. They were talking about how it is to have the Solar in them. It sounds...terrifying," the floral ambassador says as a shiver shakes them.

"It can be intimidating at first. They appear to be doing well so far though," the Harbinger says with your voice, "Have you received word from the Eldertrees?"

"Recently. They say we are to discuss an ongoing trade of biomass for metallic ore. The Collective is willing to match whatever quantities you are willing to offer," Slrrt says matter-of-factly, their small eyestalks twisting as they observe the undead diplomat.

Time to discuss the biomass-metal trade with the Armatocere. How much are you willing to trade per day?

With Sapling Slrrt connecting to the Collectives Mindvines and the Harbinger linked to the Deep Rot you are able to come to a quick decision with the Armatocere to help equalize your resource income. Once the deal was complete Slrrt confirms that the Collective would begin by sending a freighter with the load by the next Horizon's Drop sunrise while graciously thanking you for the additional gift of metallic ore.

Trade Route Established:
>3mil Metal <=> 3mil Biomass

The floral ambassador twists an eyestalk to watch a young esat buzzing around a nearby tree admiring the vibrant foliage while writing in a datapad. The Deep Rot recognizing them as a promising botanist who was once a gunship gunner for the Ahkam. Slrrt's voicebox crackles, "Your city is quite impressive, Lord Jadyk. It grows almost as fast as an Armatocere city, its beauty unique to itself."

You were surprised by the admission of admiration and the Harbinger bows, "You honor me with your words, Slrrt. You must share you compliments with Jor when he returns, this city was his dream and vision."

"I shall," they paused a second before speaking, all eyestalks locking onto the Harbinger, "I am still surprised by how much has changed since the day on that ancient world when I first met Jor and the Commander. I am honored and grateful that I was the one chosen for that first contact."

"It has certainly led to benefit both our factions. I say that you did well, then," you say with a small laugh, the sapling bending their bodystalk appreciatively.

Was there anything you wished to say or ask of Sapling Slrrt before moving onto other matters?

"I recently brought up arranging a cultural exchange with your people by settling a small bastion not unlike this city near where my harbinger rests. What are your thoughts on the union of Collective and Armada peoples? Can the animal and the plant live in harmony?
>>
>>1484814
*Is there anything you or your people require to be more comfortable in the city

"I spoke to the Eldertree about the possibility of a cultural exchange in addition to the resources. I believe a decent way to begin would be to establish a small embassy upon one of your worlds, possibly even on Yrre-1 where the other Harbinger rests. Do you believe this is possible?" you question through the Harbinger.

Their voice crackles from the metal box set in their green flesh, "As long as Necrotic contamination can be prevented we see no issue in this proposal. You have been careful to protect our little grove here, I believe you would be equally cautious on Yrre-1 although I will have to formally confirm with the Eldertree there."

"Very good. I must ask you though, and forgive me for the bluntness of the question, bu do you believe animal, plant, and undead could coexist peacefully?" you ask and the sapling seems to recoil in surprise at the loaded question.

They were silent as they though, several of their eyestalks starting to look around the grove for a few moments before he answers, "We have seen plant and animal coexist. Several of our worlds host the remnants of survivors left behind or refugees who took their chances asking us for aid. They live peacefully, aiding us where they could.

"In reality it is not unlike you and your Reconstructed working side-by-side with the Living here in Iti'a'Ropku. From what I've seen and learned you treat them with respect when you could enslave them, welcoming their innovations and uniqueness while allowing them to choose their paths," they turn all their eyestalks back to the Harbinger, "In my opinion this coexistence is indeed possible. In the future coexistence may become Amalgamation."

"Forgive my ignorance, Slrrt, but how long do your people live for?" you question.

"In this state I can live for upwards of five hundred galactic cycles and if I prove myself worthy I may take root and become one of the Eldertrees. Eldertrees can live for many thousands of cycles without fear. No Eldertree has died of old age that we know of, the eldest members of our kind taking root in the Primal Grove, joining their consciousness with the slumbering Worldtree. I myself am only three hundred and fourty-nine cycles," the Sapling says, seemingly happy to speak of their kind.

"We have many centuries to face together then, I am certain," the Harbinger says with your voice.

"We can hope," the floral ambassador replies before politely excusing themselves to tend to a matter a Void-infused Cacti soldier wished to speak with them about.

Satisfied for the moment with the trade deal and your discussion you turn your mind to other matters, the Harbinger drifting its way back to Iti'a'Ropku. A small creature of shiny black chitin tries to land on it but the undead waves it off in mild annoyance, the alien insect contenting itself to chew on the leaves of a nearby bush.

Panic and chaos reigned in the dark forest of Calera as Council soldiers were hunted and butchered by the Armadas Reconstructed. The humans ran blindly through the wilderness, desperate to escape those in pursuit and driven into a mad panic as their comrades were picked off by entities in the darkness. They died not just by Reconstructed means though, many stumbling into each other and reacting without thought by firing at the first signs of movement or sound, several plummeting down hillsides or into ravines with shattered limbs.

The forest became a place of terror and madness, the mists in the air thick with weaponized panic pheromones deployed by cloaked Coffins flying just over the tree tops. The Wayward Disciple watched as the bioweapon was deployed in its first true field test, the Think Tanks eagerly recording the data of how the human soldiers reacted.

Yet there were several groups, united around stern or vicious commanders that managed to survive the snipers that stalked them. They had realized that something in the mists were affecting them and had donned their gas-masks even though it made them nearly blind in the darkness. The flares they fired into the air illuminated the dark forest somewhat while also signalling others around them. They managed to find other groups and lone soldiers, collecting and merging together into a somewhat stable mass that marched their way steadily through the darkness firing at anything that didn't respond to their coded call-signs.

The Disciple was less pleased with this group, their displeasure growing as they realized the course the survivors were taking was in a direct path of the hidden village. Something would have to be done to prevent their discovery.

The gargoyles keeping watch over the village report that the locals were finally starting to realize something amiss as their sentries in hides among the tallest trees along the sunken forests rim spotted the green flares leaping into the sky ever closer. They hastily awoke, their hunters gathering their antique firearms and spears while the children and elderly were ushered further into the tunnels.

What shall the Disciple command their troops to do?

If folks want to support it the Armatocere would likely be open to a large scale trade like that.

Previously their payments in biomass came primarily as a large blocks of compressed organic plant material that Wasting Sludge microorganisms can break down for easy conversion into Cauldron friendly biomass along with a large amounts of fruits and vegetables. They knew the Think Tanks enjoyed receiving new crops even if they aren't as impressive as their other strains of superfoods.
>>
>>1485507
im down for supporting the large transfer.

Also I would like to suggest a couple of reconstructed ideas

1 Reconstructed mounts.
Basically something similar in design to an Osogo designed for use by immortals or the Necrolytes as a form of transport that can navigate difficult terrain allowing for fast redployment and movement on the battlefield also able to carry some fire power but mostly designed for speed

Second idea
Horrifying Eldritch Wraith recontructed
Sure a talon or troll wraith can be scary in their way but lets see if we can make something truly hideous that isnt immedietly identifiable as a reconstructed so we can deploy wraiths while also claiming they are not nessecarily ours... This raises a curious question too, how human can we make a reconstructed look, or what happens if we wraith-i-fi a Zombie?
>>
Guys, when are we going to build more ships?

Someone suggest a list and I'll back it (probably, if I'm still capable of posting)
>>
>>1485555
we do really need to spam more ships, like alot of ships
>>
>>1485568
Yeah, at this point I don't even care what the list is as long as we order a shitton of ships, at least to eat up 80% of our stockpile.

I'll be mighty mad if we get defeated just because we didn't build more ships, though the reason is because the ship cost system hasn't been revamped yet
>>
>>1485741
fairly certain once its sorted we can back date orders
>>
>>1485555
Maybe we could just set a % that goes into ship building and another percent that goes into ground troops amen a final % that goes into economy.

50% into ships with a 1:100:500:1000:10000 ratio for flagship:battlecruiser:corvette:frigate:fighter/bomber/transport

20% ground troops split between all types

20% into building economy as a contribution to development score

10% held in reserve
>>
>>1486087
That works too.
Simplifying and streamlining the Civ aspect of the game would be a good thing.
>>
>>1486087
I vote for that or something like it. We have a hard time commiting to ship making, and it shpuld be automated outside of special ships.
>>
>>1486087
This assumes that we have enough ship production facilities to keep up
The bottle neck could be how many pylonswe have, unless that is included in the development score

Knowing not much time was left the Reconstructed moved quickly to intercept the group marching their way toward the hidden village. Stalkers ran in the darkness beyond the trees, darting between the shadows as the flares lit the predawn sky while just out of sight of the soldiers but their dashing footsteps and animalistic snarling unnerved them. Occasionally one would stop to spit up a stream of bone flechettes from the shardspitters in their throats but too far to do any significant damage.

The soldiers paused as a pair of flares rose from the nearby distance along with the piping of an officers whistle calling for aid. The remaining officers in the group speak quickly among themselves even as the the call of the whistle repeats itself until finally they came to an agreement and began shouting out orders. The group set off again but ignored the flares and the distress signal, not wishing to risk it being a trap for them.

The officer that had been blowing the whistle stared of into the distance mindlessly, repeating the whistling code as the Control Worm buried in its gut tightened its mandibles around their spine, medigel being secreted to heal the entry wound. Disappointedly the Think Tanks command the Worm to cease its whistling, instead the soldier hefting their weapon alongside the handful of others that had been taken control of and begin dashing through the forest after the group.

The group of surviving soldiers were counting down the seconds until dawn, hoping that with daybreak they'd be able to see and retaliate against their harassers but it was still a long hour away. They kept their march steady, the soldiers trying to keep the fear tamped down after the whistles and flares ceased. Crossing through a clearing where a partially frozen creek wound through it the group stopped momentarily for a brief respite, the soldiers keeping watch along the treeline. They could hear the footsteps and growling of the Stalkers hunting them, knowing they were only wasting ammo in trying to shoot their pursuers.

Calm almost seemed to fall down on them as they tried to gain a few minutes of respite to catch their breath through their gasmasks and heavy gear. The wounded had the few remaining medics look at their wounds which were surprisingly few, the gravely injured left behind or put down in a gesture of mercy.

Their calm was shattered when the clearing illuminated suddenly as flares were fired from the darkness outside of the clearing, six gleaming green flares launched into the center of the clustered humans that burn and spit noisily. They began shouting and scrambling to escape the green flames that began to spread, catching the dried grasses and several coats on fire. Officers shout to gain control but then a multitude of shrill whistles began piping around them in the forest, no longer concerned with codes they let out their shrieks that mingle with the shouts of the soldiers.

>>1488780
In their panic several of the soldiers began firing blindly into the treeline, quickly joined by the others but with the flares shining in their midst they were nearly blinded to the outside. Their shadows were projected against the treeline, a chaotic frenzy of light, darkness and sound. Gunfire returned against them, weapons gained from the injured and dead or dropped by the panicked in the hands of Reconstructed or the newly recruited with Control Worms guiding their actions.

Floating above the scene of chaos was a pocket of twisted light and sound, a single Coffin observing silently before its Pilot and cargo receive their orders. Without even having to open the cargo doors its passengers depart, the Specters phasing through the hull and dropping down toward the soldiers below. They didn't bother hiding, the soldiers focused on the outer perimeter they never expected an attack from above.

The Specters extend their wings just enough to slow their descent to avoid falling into the earth, the partially incorporeal undead wasting no time in launching themselves into a vicious attack. The gave no warcries or snarls, the ghostly Reconstructed slashing out with disruptor claws that slice easily through their armor and flesh. The screams of their victims only served to further throw them into chaos, the soldiers spinning around and nearly blinding themselves as the Specters gleefully attacked with the light of the flares at their back.

Claws phased through armor and sliced through the flesh and bones underneath, teeth ripping out chunks of bloodied flesh as the Specters tasted their first true sample of battle. Their eyes flashed with disorienting lights and patterns, further disrupting the aim of the soldiers causing them to hit their allies more than the attacking undead. The officers tried to regain control but they quickly fell before the undead as their internal organs became external and heads rolled away from spurting necks.

Driven into a blind panic the group of soldiers scattered wildly, dashing across the clearing and into the treelines where Stalkers and Scourges awaited them, Cyclops perching in trees picking them off with their silent spinecasters. The Specters took delight in ravaging the survivors and scattering them for their comrades hidden among the trees.

The soldiers ran blindly as they were pursued through the wilderness, the sky finally starting to grow brighter as dawn neared but in their fear it went unnoticed. The Reconstructed found it almost laughably easy to hunt down them down, claws and bullet taking down the panicked soldiers.

Yet there were several that managed, through blind panicked luck, that managed to head directly toward the hidden village. Their sentries and hunters hand scaled the tall ladders up to the lip of the sinkhole and were hidden among the trees, their old guns and spears gripped tight as they could hear the chaos in the distance.

Several soldiers blundered into a small clearing between the trees, several collapsing and wrenching the gasmasks away to catch their breath as they panted heavily. They spoke in hushed whispers, trying to keep quiet even as a Scourge and Specter sit in a tree directly above them watching and listening.

Both undead and council soldier look up in alarm as a trio of villagers, vorh and human, came charging from behind the trees with hunting spears in hand. Other members of the village tried to stop them but the attackers were young and eager to prove themselves. One did manage to run forward, impaling a soldier through the stomach as they tried to bring up their rifle and pushing them back with a shout of triumph. Their triumph was cut short as one of the soldiers pulled a large trench knife from the sheath at their thigh and tackled the attacking villager.

The soldiers and villagers quickly fell into a brutal melee, the soldiers more experienced and high on terror-induced adrenaline quickly overcoming them. They would have slew the villagers but there were shouts from the trees as others emerged, their weapons leveled at the soldiers even as they held their weapons high over the bloodied youths.

The stand-off was interrupted by a sudden shriek that filled the air, soldiers and villagers looking around in a panic only to shout in dismay as several Specters and Scourges fell among them from above. They moved quickly, Specters dragging off the soldiers to silence their screams of terror as the Scourges did their best to avoid spearthrusts and gunfire. Once the soldiers were dragged off the Scourges snarled and buzzed their wings, quickly taking off into the air once more leaving the bewildered villagers behind to tend to their fool-hardy youth. They saw that the undead had dropped the weaponry and ammo of the soldiers, the more cool-headed commanding the others to gather their gear and return to the tribe in confusion.

The Eyegore stationed in the Tura system watched the movements of the Ahkam fleets with building excitement. Yet when a portion of the Ahkam forces separated itself from the bulk of the fleets the Eyegore's excitement was soured with annoyance and apprehension. It watched at that fleet was engulfed by an impossible stormcloud that billowed out of nothingness from the battleship at its core, lightning flashing from within to show shadows of the warships within. It suddenly collapses in on itself with a flare of Arclight and both cloud and fleet were gone.

As another fleet moved away from the forces over Tura'Ve the Eyegore sensed a series of large gravity wells approaching, its excitement surging once more. Before the fleet could project its own Storm Gate it was interrupted by a series of alarms that raced through the system moments after an unexpected fleet appeared on the outer rim of the system closest to Tura'Ve.

As the light and sensordata reached the fleets they only had moments to react before the first of the kinetic rounds launched by the Obsidianborn ships collided with their shields and ships. The rounds punched through the shields and hulls of several corvettes before the geokinetic core of obsidian erupted sending spears of molten metal piercing through the interior of the ships, crippling them in one blow. The Ahkam forces quickly move to react, their Arc-powered engines allowing them to turn to face the approaching fleet of Armada and Obsidianborn warships.

The Eyegore almost felt bad for the Ahkam as two more distinct gravity wells approached the system. The Ruscuv and Tlacex fleets appear on opposite ends of Tura'Ve, their spinal cannons launching Necrotic infused kinetic rounds of bone and metal as soon as they moved past the curve of the planet for a clear shot. The Ahkam forces grouped mainly around the orbital platform fell into a momentary disarray as the new attackers emerged catching them against their flanks, trying to adapt and redeploy against these upstart attackers.

War has come to the Tura system

As the fleets of warships raced into battle the voice of Illuminator Tlacex rang out across the unprotected airwaves, "We bring Death to false gods! We come to break the shackles that these Deceiver Serpents have placed upon you all! Witness their weakness and revel in their death!"

It was uncertain how many of the Ahkams servants heard this broadcast but the Illuminator was pleased with his proclamation even if Muic found it a little heavy-handed.

The Obsidianborn and Reconstructed ships move forward in a grid pattern, their salvos colliding or passing the retaliatory strike from the Ahkam, kinetic rounds obliterating strikecraft before they strike shield and hull. The Ahkam, despite their recent battles against the Obsidianborn raiders and increase in power from the Arc Surge, found themselves still unable to counter the strange geokinetic technology of the Lavafather. Kinetic rounds with a core of molten metal and geokinetic obsidian ravage the interiors of the Ahkam sub-capitals that move to protect the larger warships, leaving them dead in space as they are unable to seal hullbreaches or find entire rooms filled with the rapidly cooling metal.

Under Muics orders she sends wings of the faster Reconstructed ships to encircle and surround the isolated Ahkam fleet. The Dynasty ships tried to accelerate in reverse to avoid exposing the rears of their ships to their attacks, allowing the Reconstructed ships time to curve around, cutting off their retreat. The battleship that the sensors could detect the Ahkam within moved to the center of the fleet that had ceased its retreat, instead turning to a sphere of protective ships that lash out desperately against the invaders warships.

The Ahkam forces tried to regroup near the orbital city connected to Tura'Ve by its space elevator but the Necrotic ships harried them, Ruscuv and Tlacex commanding their fleets to close rapidly and strike as they retreated. The confusion of the three-pronged attacked served them well, the Dynasty fleets nearly colliding with each other in their haste and leaving them open to the crossfire of their two fleets. They held back their fighters, pummeling the retreating ships with spinal cannons and flayers that lanced through the darkness and their shields. Despite their power increase from the Arc Surge they found their systems still susceptible to the Necrotic energies, no doubt alarming and confusing their crews who had been confident in their masters enhanced powers.

Shattered and injured ships were left in their retreat, many of their crew calling out for aid but the invaders ignored them, their sights set on larger prey. The warships containing the remaining three Ahkam signatures retreated closer to the orbital city where the strongest signature still resided. Tlacex and Ruscuv spread their fleets to become to encircling halves around the Ahkam fleets and their orbital city.

>cont
>>
>>1492430
As they approached though the Think Tanks began to let out their own frantic alarms as a large build-up of Arc energy swells from within the orbital city. Ruscuv sees from afar how the Ahkam ships began to part and she quickly orders her fleet to spread out and moments later their sensors were nearly blinded. Illuminator Tlacex's ships watched as a bolt of Arc energy leapt out of an anti-oribtal lance hidden among the structures of the orbital city, the beam flashing across the distance at nearly impossible speeds to strike several a portion of Ruscuvs fleet. The blast travels a distance of several lightseconds before it dissipated, leaving only charred wrecks where it didn't obliterate the ships completely.

Ruscuvs anger surges, tendrils lashing as she stood in the command bridge of her Palanquin and barked out her orders. The Think Tanks report that the attack was recharging, theorizing that the Ahkam presence within the station itself was boosting the weapons energy. Unwilling to let another blast strike her or Tlacex's fleet she commands her forces to surge forward, long-ranged weaponry locked on the anti-orbital lance. Kinetic slugs strike against its shields, a dome of refracted light flickering across the city with each blow. Tlacex quickly adjusted his own tactics, his fleet launching its attacks at the lance hidden beneath the shield.

The Ahkam were quickly to recognize their plan and placed their ships in the way, trading long-ranged blows in attempts to protect the powerful weapon until it was recharged once more. They even deployed swarms of Esat fighters and gunships, the strikecraft racing across the void with Tura'Ve looming underneath as they moved to strike at the invaders. Nails and Gunships also deploy, Reconstructed battleships unleashing their Swarmers that move across their forms like a living ablative armor. Space began to glow from the sheer amount of Necrotic and Arc energy discharges as the strikecraft dueled to protect the Armada ships, swarmers reaching out like pseudopods to engulf and destroy strikecraft that came too close or moving to absorb missile strikes.

As the Illumators and Lich's forces fought to break the orbital cities shields and its powerful weapon Muic and her Obsidianborn allies whittled down the protective shell surrounding the Ahkams battleship. Stonestar daredevils piloting Obsidianborn strikecraft they were psionically bonded to, raced between the protective sub-capitals alongside Nails and Gunships, the nearly foolhardy warriors targeting the battleship. Their weapons illuminated its shields as they strafed it with Necrotic and plasma beams, missiles raining down against it even as they dueled with the Ahkam fighters struggling to protect their leader. Finally the shields shattered and they swarmed for their engines, leaving it dead in space while Muic made her way to a boarding pod.

Punisher Muics command ship, a Pyroclastic Destroyer that was the merging of Obsidianborn and Reconstructed technology, lurches forward upon seeing the battleship sent adrift. With it crippled the encircling fleet increased their attacks against the defensive vessels, Obsidianborn and Armada warships firing side-by-side against their hated foes.

Guarded by a shield of defensive corvettes and boarding frigates Muics Destroyer races toward the Ahkams battleship, the corvettes intercepting the barrage of missiles and flights of fighters they sent to prevent their attack. Swarmers writhe across the surface of the Destroyer like a living armor, their necroflensers stripping the hulls from daring strikecraft or sacrificing themselves by colliding with missiles. Boarding a Coffin latched onto the side of her Destroyer Muic departs in a cloud of Swarmers as the frigates launch a barrage of boarding pods.

With the shields disabled the boarding pods were able to strike and burrow into the hulls, their anchor claws glowing with heat as they sink into the hull while their bits bore through the dense metal plating as a ring of flexible muscle creates a vacuum seal. The hull of the battleships crackles with Arc energy as the Ahkam attempts to fry the boarding pods but most had already injected their cargo.

Shock Trolls and Lurkers, each enhanced with a Necrotic Core, flood into the passages, their bladed armor glowing with thermal energy as they launch themselves against Tyrre and Epikor defenders. The undead were bolstered and enraged by the Berserker glands spread through their forms, the tight confines of the corridors leaving little room for the Ahkam soldiers to defend themselves.

Muics Coffin moved over a rent in the hull where a boarding pod had been dislodged and seals the breach moments before it opens and the Punisher enters the cramped corridor, having to stoop to follow the Molten Trolls that served as her personal guard, their bodies glowing in the darkness of the strobing emergency lights.

The ship rumbled as fighting spread through its miles of corridors and passages, the entire structure shuddering with each impact of other boarding pods. The protective shell of ships around the battleship was broken, Obsidianborn ships sending their own boarding parties of Stonestar and Obsidianborn constructs. It felt to Muic as if victory was all but assured as her forces clashed with the Ahkam defenders, their Arc enhanced weaponry stalling the Necrotic forces somewhat but Muic was patient and steadfast.

Without warning alerts came pouring in from the demi-Think Tanks within the battleship and the vessels outside saying the hull of the battleship was charging itself with Arc energy. A demi-Think Tank accompanying her send the psionic image to her, the battleship glowing with Arc-light crackling along its hull studded with boarding pods like parasitic ticks. A Storm Gate, hasty and malformed, began to materialize off the hull, billowing forward to engulf the strikecraft and boarding shuttles still swarming around it.

There was a shout of psychic dismay among the Obsidianborn fleet as the Storm Gate, barely larger than the damaged battleship itself, collapses on itself leaving a glowing after image of the Ahkam vessel where only empty space remained. Enraged by this development the Obsidianborn and Stonestar commanders gave furious orders and their fleet unleashed their full might against the remaining vessels, the Reconstructed quickly following the example.

As news reached Ruscuv and Tlacex of Muics abduction the orbital city's shields fell, their own sudden anger turned upon the orbital lance, kinetic rounds and flayer beams demolishing the structure in a detonation of crackling Arc energy. Despite the powerful explosion that sent a ripple along the length of the space elevator, the city maintained its orbit, the Ahkam fleets falling into a tighter defensive mesh around the city.

The isolated Ahkam fleet, commanderless and abandoned, was quickly reduced to burning wrecks and space-dust under the furious assault of the Obsidianborn fleet. Still not satisfied they quickly regroup and accelerate toward the floating city and the remaining Ahkam.

Tractor beams lock into the still burning wrecks of the Ahkam forces, several of them still managing to contain an atmosphere but stranded dead in space, the Obsidianborn and Reconstructed fleet taking the time to arrange themselves properly. Once satisfied they began to accelerate rapidly, dragging the wreckages with them through the void. Those ship still holding crew made use of their lifepods but they were quickly scooped up by Armada ships their passengers taken captive. Releasing their tractor beams they let the hulks continue with their unhindered momentum while the ships decelerate and regroup.

As the Obsidianborn and Reconstructed vessels set up their improvised projectiles the Ruscuv and Tlacex fleets fell back to the outer ranges of the Ahkam warships and strikecraft while continuing their long-range bombardment of kinetic rounds enhanced with Necrotic energy. The two forces moved into a pair of semi-circle firing lines, keeping the Ahkam forces clustered around their orbital city. The Think Tanks warned that they were likely to face reinforcements but Ruscuv waves it off, stating that they were given a goal and that Muic and Jadyk would want them to complete it. In fact warships that had been the picket fleets of the other planets in the system were nearing firing range, the Necrotic commanders sending portions of their fleets to intercept and occupy them.

The positions of the two fleets meant there was a large angle left unguarded and sure enough a group of warships moved out, likely to circle round and attack one of their fleets from the flanks. As predicted they began to curve toward Tlacex flank when their sensors finally detected rapidly approaching objects. The first of wrecks slammed into a battlecruisers side near the engine, the former frigate sending the capital ship into a spin before its engines erupted in a ball of flame.

The Ahkam vessels made to avoid the incoming wrecks, accelerating out their path on their way toward Tlacex. Only a few of their number had been clipped by the remains of their comrade starships and they seemed ready to continue on their mission. Yet following in the wake of the wreckages were Muics fleet, a Stonestar with the title of Warleader taking command ordering the attack and their molten and necrotic weaponry carve into the flanks of the attacking fleet. Kinetic rounds of solid bone and with hollow molten cores strike into the Ahkam ships, punching through shield and hull moments before they were met with a barrage of missiles that shattered their armor. They were quickly overtaken by the vengeful Obsidianborn ships, the Think Tanks negotiating with the Warleader that any lifepod was off-limits for destruction and considered captives of the Armada.

>>1493137
The still burning wrecks raced toward the defensive fleets, the now destroyed attack force sending word of their approach. The wrecks were met with a wall of weaponsfire and missiles, the void of space erupting into brilliant blossoms of fire and detonating Arc reactors. Yet momentum continued for many of the largest wrecks, their bulk carrying them past or through the Ahkam ships.

The remains of a destroyer, its bridge having been struck by a lucky Molten round and maintaining most of its armor, was barraged with anti-ship defenses and missiles from the floating city but still it struck the outer rim. It shears off a pair of docking and repair pylons to plummet to the surface of Tura'Ve below while the city visibly shudders from the blow. Smaller debris, burning portions of the destroyed sub-capitals and capital ships, make it past the blockade to collide into the orbital city a few even striking at the central palace under the smoldering remains of the Arc Lance.

In the confusion of the unorthodox attack the blockade had weakened when they redirected their weaponry against the burning wrecks, the Armada ships surging forward with renewed attacks. Several of the warships reported depleted ammunition reserves and stressed reactors but they continue on steadfast in their determination.

Ruscuv and Tlacex open a line between them, simple holoscreens displaying each other in their bridges. Lich Ruscuv showed obvious excitement, her barbed tendrils writhing as her scythe-like claws scratch at the deck, "It is our time, Illuminator. Our actions this day will be sung for eons by the Chitin Choir."

The Illuminator's beak pulls back, baring his blunt teeth in a wide grin, "I was about to say the same thing, Lord Ruscuv."

After commanding one last full assault of their long-range weapons they order the fleets to accelerate toward the orbital city. All three fleets converged against the Ahkam forces, riding the momentum of their success and keeping them on the defensive. Nails, Gunships, and Stonestar fighters race forward hungry for blood as they rode the wake of a wave of missiles that strike the shields of the remaining Ahkam ships. They dove and twisted through the void, letting momentum carry them as they twisted around, dueling with the swarms of Esat strikecraft and the slower heavy fighters crewed by kosda and epikor. Their duels became brutal dogfights as the esat and stonestar fighters used similarly crafted grapnels, spinning around each other at disorienting speeds while ripping each other to pieces.

Following not far behind the strikecraft came the fastest of the battlecruisers and sub-capitals, Necrotic weaponry clashing with the Arc powered vessels. It was the power of the Arc Surge that allowed the Ahkam forces to resist the sapping energy but their ships were already damaged and tired from the furious assault. The battles became close-range affairs, their spinal weaponry rendered almost useless by the ranges, turrets and fixed weaponmounts filling the brunt of the attacks. The battle began to resemble primitive naval battles as they fired their weapons in broadside exchanges while boarding shuttles and strikecraft leapt between them.

Obsidianborn and Reconstructed swarmers reach out from their parent ships, hundreds of their necroflensers and plasma waves stripping the hulls from their targets and melting their weaponsmounts down to slag. The Obsidianborn and their Stonestar partners fought valiantly to avenge Punisher Muic, their unique strikecraft crawling across the surface of the capital ships with molten weaponry carving through their weapons and defenses. Many of their strikecraft resembled the Stonestar themselves, four limbed fighters tearing out the engines of several vessels leaving them adrift and defenseless before moving on to other prey.

The Palanquin charged forward, barreling past several capital ships still in functioning order with only a passing exchange of fire. Ruscuv ignored them, focused on her prey a heavily armed battleship surrounded by strikecraft. Her shouted commands shocked the Pilots and Think Tanks of the vessel but they quickly obeyed, the large battleship barely slowing its descent as it aimed itself toward the Ahkam vessel.

Tlacex watched in amazement as the battleship barreled through the ranks of fighters and drones, its shields glowing bright as they bounced off along with the weaponsfire. It only seemed to slow moments before the heavily armored vessels collided, the Palanquin landing on top of the Ahkam battleship.

Both shields phased out as they collided, their hulls grinding into each other at obscene speeds that causes the battleships Think Tank to shout out in pain, the momentum causing them to dip down toward the orbital city. The Ahkam vessel desperately fired its engines, attempting to lift away from the city but the Palanquin responded by firing its own massive engines to force it against the enemy battleship. They struggled against each other, their turrets firing point blank against each other in their brutal fight but eventually Ruscuvs ships was reinforced by Armada strikecraft.

Gunships launch strafing runs against the damaged Ahkam ship and their acid-drop missiles cause one of the large engines to sputter then wink out. The Palanquin almost slides off the battleship as it lists but at her command the ship adjusts, pushing the capital ship down toward the orbital city. Finally the pair of capital warships collide with the city, causing it to tip slightly as Ruscuvs battleship traps the Ahkam vessel between it and the superstructure.

Illuminator Tlacex, not wishing to be completely outdone by the Lich, orders his own battleship to accelerate while targeting one of the Ahkam signatures inside another battleship. Nails and Obisidianborn strikecraft already swarmed it and dueled with its defenders as the battleship arrived with its escorts. Boarding cruisers moved forward, their grapnels launching quasiphasic harpoons that phase into their hulls and blossom into a web of metamaterials before locking their molecular structures together. Ion turrets bath the ship to little effect before the strikecraft move in targeting their weaponsmounts and engines rendering the vessel motionless, the cruisers firing their engines in reverse to drag the battleship toward Tlacex.

Departing from his battleship on a Coffin he raced toward the crippled battleship after promising his Juggernaut mount that it would join him in battle soon enough, the large Reconstructed too bulky for the confines of the warship. He himself was worried he may be too large for the corridors but pushed it out of mind as the Coffins latched on with its boarding claws, sealing itself over a rent in the armor even as boarding pods burrow into other sections of the hull. He was right to assume it would be cramped, the passages he found himself in tight enough that the crystal shards that erupted from his armor scraped against the walls and ceiling. He followed the Shock Trolls and Stalkers, waves of Necrotic energy rolling off him as he honed in on the Ahkams presence.

Hard-light constructs wedged themselves into the bulwarks that had sealed off the bridge from the rest of the ship, the corridor behind him painted in blood of the Ahkam faithful. The constructs carved through the bulwarks, rending under his might to create a large gap in the armored wall. Reconstructed surged forward around him as he looked toward the great blue serpent staring him down, Arc energy crackling along her form. Plates of hard-light armor materialized around him as he began to chant an oath to the Wormstar.

The Ahkam female hissed in anger at the sight of the undead filling the chamber as her servants hunkered down with weapons in hand behind their consoles along the teired bridge, "You dare attack us?! We are the Ahkam! Living gods and the Arc made flesh! You abomination shall suffer for your impudence!"[/blue]

Tlacex's beak pulled back from his teeth as he grinned at the Ahkam, Necrotic flames erupting along his body as if the hard-light armor itself was ablaze, "I am the Illuminator, the one who shall shine the light of the Wormstars fury and truth upon you, to show that the Ahkam are but mere serpents. Rejoice sinners, judgement has come!"

I'm not too happy about our only illuminator fight an arkham one on one in the middle of an ark surge
Hopefully those 2 100's have a lasting effect

Grave how dose multiple crits on the same roll work? Is that's part of the action even more successful? The is probably a limit to how good something can be done, or is the second crit used differently

What would be nice in events like this that we can store extra crits for later use to null a 1 or make an action better

Also with us likely getting more sneks we should make some of the ones we have reconstructed generals

Speaking of sneks we should have the immortal commander talk with papa snek so he can see the immortal process works

Fuck, I read all this thinking you guys were talking about Urist. That was a peculiar mental image.
>>
I remember a post about how each of the 4 main powers represent the 4 types of energy
Void is gravity
Necrotic is the weak nuclear force
Ark is electromagnetic
Solar is the strong nuclear force

But there are so far 2 more powers in accounted for
The power of the lava father and the power of the wraith queen
I think the lava father is heat, there is no power of cold because cold is not a force, it's only the lack of heat. You can't take something to absolute zero and add cold to make it colder. You can only add heat

The wraith queen I think is the frequency electrons vibrate. One theory on multiple dimensions is that several exist here in the same space as us, but because everything atoms included is empty space they just phase through us. The only reason our atoms interact with each other is because the electrons are constantly repelling each other. I hope I'm making sense English is hard

If this is all or in part true than there are uses of the powers we have not thought of yet. Like the lava father making things cold by removing heat

Void making things not affected by gravity (very useful when getting things off world, or harvesting materials from a gas giant or star)

Solar making nova bombs or jump starting a gas giant into a small star

Ark using sound to travel (if you can use electricity to blink teleport by traveling as electricity than you should be able to to do the same with a different form of electromagnetic energy like sound)

Or all 4 to make matter from nothing and in doing so win over entropy
>>
>>1494945
Sound isn't electromagnetic energy. It's vibration transmitted through matter.

Did you mean radio or microwave?

The city was mostly quiet beyond the typical sounds that filtered out from the night shift factories and the crowded bars and pleasure dens. The guards walked their patrols or sat around their lanterns playing cards or rolling dice, expecting only another quiet, peaceful shift.

This illusion of tranquility was abruptly shattered, a loud booming blast ringing out out as a ball of orange flame erupted from a storage building between the prison and the train station. Locals emerged from their homes to stare out at the skyline as pillar of black smoke rose from a warehouse used to store the crops before transport and moments later another eruption made them recoil in shock as the warehouse next to it ignited in a ball of flame as well.

Erupting into chaos the guards and soldiers of the city mobilized quickly, the barge tied to the skytower hastily being fitted with a pressurized water tank they kept in the tower for such an occasion. Firefighting volunteers among the locals raced through the winding streets while tugging on their heavy rubberized uniforms, human, vorh, and itru all knowing that a fire could be devastating in the cramped city. As the blaze continued to grow, threatening to spread to nearby buildings and even the prison walls, the soldiers stationed in the prison barracks were sent out to assist in combating the flames.

Within the prison itself its occupants were shouting and working themselves up as they demanded to know what was going on or to be released to help. The guards left behind stayed mostly at their stations protected behind sturdy metal meshes, ignoring the shouts of the prisoners as they listened to their radios trying to keep up to date with the unfolding situation. They ignored the startled shouts from several prisoners, not hearing them yell out when they saw ghostly figures floating along the corridors and walking through walls or cell doors.

On the roof-top of the prison by the metal tree of radio antennas and dishes a pair of the ghostly figures flexed their black talons as they circled around it as their complex array of eyes examine the tangle of metal and wires. At an unheard command the Specters claws lashed out, surgically slicing through bundles of wires and dislocating aged circuitry. The flatbody gargoyle curled around the open window of their communications chamber could hear the immediate shouts of confusion as their radios and communication consoles went dead.

Many lightcenturies away in the Tura system Ruscuv speaking soothing words to the Think Tanks and Pilots of her Palanquin that were chattering away reporting damages and updates as the Reconstructed battleship pinned the Ahkam warship against their orbital city over Tura'Ve. The Think Tanks linked into the ship itself say they could sense the occupants of the other battleship starting to mobilize along with surface defenders rushing toward the crashed ships. They report that somehow the orbital city, despite not having a bio-dome or shields covering it, had a breathable atmosphere allowing the "locals" to rush about without the need for environsuits.

The sensors also report that they could sense the Ahkam presence in the battleship appeared to be on the move. Ruscuv could feel its power herself being this close and she believed she could sense its frustration and fear. The Think Tanks state that the Palanquinp is still space-worthy despite several minor breaches in the hull and capable of escape. The notion of escape made the ancient lich warlord scoff in amusement before turning her attention to the Ahkam serpent she could sense attempting to work its way out of the mangled shell of its battleship and into the city. Likely to unite with the strongest Ahkam signal underneath the shattered Arc Lance

How should she proceed with her hunt?

Shouting several commands to her Think Tanks as she rushes through the corridors to an airlock Ruscuv ignores their concerned protests. She pauses only long enough inside the airlock to reemphasize her orders before she leaps from the hull of her Palanquin. There was some form of artificial gravity on the orbital city, Ruscuv finding her leap dragged down toward the hull of the Ahkam battleship that stuck out sideways from under her own warship.

Landing with a heavy thud her claws dig into the metal of the hull as Necrotic static pulses along her form, reacting with the ambient Arc energy that rose up from the hull. The Arc energy suffusing the artificial atmosphere around her seemed to energize and invigorate her own energy stores. The lich hisses with excitement, tendrils writhing as she hefts the pair of great scythes that crackle with Necrotic might to bring them down in the hull and quickly carve a passage into the vessel itself.

As Tlacex and her fleet continued to drive the defensive fleets into disarray several Armada ships break away from the battle to join protectively over the Palanquin and bombard the city and grounded Ahkam ship with boarding pods. Striking rooftops and embedding themselves in the sides of buildings and streets the pods burst open to unleash their Reconstructed payloads.

Shock Trolls and Lurkers rush from the confines of the pods, their screams carrying in the artificial atmosphere as they launched themselves into the crowds of Ahkam soldiers rushing their way. Several heavy drop pods unleash Brutes enhanced with Necrotic Cores upon the city to spread as much destruction as they could under Ruscuvs orders. Blasts of Necrotic energy erupt from their open maws even as the heavy bone repeaters attached their forearms fire streams of necrotic infused bone and metal from the rapidly spinning barrels.

Tyrre locals, many of them still sporting bandages and surgical dressings rushed from what must have been a hospital, their rage allowing them to ignore their various injuries and half-attached cybernetics as they threw themselves against the intruding undead. The soldiers of the Ahkam did their best to contain the undead released amidst their ranks but the eventful and destructive arrival of the Palanquin and the Ahkam battleship had damaged much of the local infrastructure effectively cutting them off.

Once the breach was widened enough Ruscuv moves inside much faster and nimbler than her bulk and armor would suggest. Reconstructed troops that had gathered around her on the hull follow quickly, their shouts and chanting filling the corridors as their simple minds somehow recognize the honor it was to fight alongside a Lich of the Armada.

>cont
>>
>>1505408
The halls were barely large enough for the lich to move through but Ruscuv hardly let that slow her, her bulk and necrotic aura allowing the walls to be widened in her wake and make it even easier for the tide of undead behind her to follow. Her cackling voice called out, echoing through the halls as she taunted the Ahkam in the ancient Wormtongue. As defenders finally moved to intercept she barely slowed, charging them down and trampling them under her heavy claws for her Reconstructed follows to dispatch or drag back toward the Palanquin for imprisonment.

She found the tyrre soldiers the most worthy of her time, the adrenaline fueled warriors finding her imposing size all the more reason to throw themselves at her with gnashing teeth and slashing claws. Retaliating with her great scythes darting out at impossible speeds despite the cramped quarters to slice them in twain or pin them against the walls or floor she carved her way through the defenses with an ease that unnerved even the most veteran epikor or kosda officers that saw her in battle.

Finally she found herself confronted with a large set of bulwarks sealing off the bridge, a familiar scene for many of the Generals in the Armada. Her heavy tail arcs over her form, the three clawed pincer at its end crackling with sickly green bolts of Necrotic might as the pincer slowly separates with a sphere of roiling energy suspended between them. With a triumphant hiss her body jerks as the blast of Necrotic energy leaped out from her tail to strike the bulwarks, the metal quickly glowing and rusting simultaneously under the power attack.

The beam cuts out with a burst of Necrotic radiation as the pincers snap shut, the Lich moving to inspect the hole melted into the bulwark only for weaponsfire and a pair of lightning bolts to answer her questioning peek. Cackling as she darted back she glanced behind her at the Reconstructed, many freshly splattered with the various colors of the blood of Ahkam faithful, who stood eagerly watching her for commands.

Turning back to the bulwark she took the strength of the trio of Arc-attuned Dirges that floated behind her to enhance her telekinetic powers and with a burst of energy bends back the bulwark to expose the teired command bridge. Her own telekinetic might was considerable but she lacked the pure strength that Jadyk, Tlacex or even Jor possessed. The Lich mused on this as weaponsfire resumed, bullets bouncing and ricocheting off the invisible bubble of energy the Dirges protected her with.

>>1505414
Now exposed, the Ahkam serpent, a dark-blue scaled female, flares her broad hood and coils up as if to strike from her cushioned throne at the peak of the teired chamber. Arc energy crackles along her form, her vibrant red eyes staring down at Ruscuv as the armored lich marches into the chamber once the weaponsfire subsides again. The serpent sways in agitation, her body loosely coiled in preparation for their conflict but she calls out, "Who dares?! Who would dare strike against me?! I am a chosen daughter of Quantac'Vrix! You will suffer untold agonies for your desecration!"

Ruscuv merely laughs which only annoys the serpent, Necrotic bolts sparking along her form as she drinks in the densely ambient Arc energy so close to the Ahkam, "I am Ruscuv. Even false gods must die, my dear, and I am your death. Try to face it with dignity," she says with another cackling laugh and tenses to leap into combat proper.

Reality seemed to stretch and elongate, everything narrowing and compressing while feeling an inexplicable pull to somewhere distant. Punisher Muic had never traveled by Storm Gate and she doubted it often as hasty and malformed as the emergency exit by the panicked Ahkam had created. She could feel the Arc, move around and through her, a stream of energy she felt pulling and guiding her. She felt something almost familiar about it but she was given little time to muse on it as her reflection on the Arc was interrupted abruptly

As suddenly as the strange sensation had washed over and through her while distorting reality had come, it was gone. Reality snapped back into rigidity and she was thrown forward along with the Reconstructed with her. Gaining her feet she cast her mind out to the demi-Think Tanks with her and took stock of the situation.

From the boarding Coffins and strikecraft that had been dragged along with the crippled Ahkam warship she swore to herself with a Stonestar curse she had picked up from her time on Bastion. The Ahkam Battleship had reemerged from the emergency Storm Gate, finding itself in a system the Think Tanks did not recognize and could not contact a local Eyegore.

Initial reports stated that they found themselves in a trinary star system flooded with cosmic radiation that made long-range scans from the small vessels nearly impossible. They did not need long-range sensors to detect why the crippled ship had begun to rumble and shake violently, the smaller craft watching as the battleship began to glow as it descended into the atmosphere of a moon in orbit around a massive world with a dense gravity well. Storm clouds billowed under the projected path of the falling battleship, a powerful storm covering a portion of the moon, Coffins spotting what may have been an ocean or large lakes under the storm.

Muic knew by the way the ship rumbled that there was no time for her escape the hulk but she was confident in her durability. Not to mention the flock of Armada strikecraft following its descent reported that the battleship was attempting to slow its descent to moderately safer speeds by extending braking flaps and firing their maneuvering thrusters to keep it steady.

Body glowing with heat she beckons all nearby Reconstructed to gather close to her, Trolls, Stingers, Talons, Stalkers and Gargoyles all huddling around her as she reaches out with the help of the Dirges. Her thermal abilities heating the walls into a pliable state she uses the Dirges to enhance her telekinetic gifts to encase herself and the Reconstructed in a protective shell of twisted metal and plasteel that seals tight around them as they prepared for impact.

>cont
>>
>>1505823
The wait felt almost unbearable to the Reconstructed gathered around her but her calm mental commands soothed their simple minds, the undead trusting their General even as the vessel shook ever more violently around them. The strikecraft peeled away from the battleship as it plummeted through the storms to the surface, many moving to perform recon and attempting to establish contact with the Armada while others take a more controlled descent through the atmosphere following the battleships path.

There was a tremendous impact as the battleship struck the earth and reduced a hillside into an explosion of dirt, leaving scorched glass and burning scrap in its wake. Its momentum carried it, the ship skipping off the hillside until it collides solidly with the sand of a tumultuous beach. The warship buries front third in the sand, much of it blasted into glass that cooled and cracked rapidly as the storm raged above them sending waves crashing against the ships side.

Bursting the seal of the protective shell with a blast of steam the Reconstructed flooded back out into the corridors of the ship but Muic had a different idea. Using her thermal powers and the Dirges she ripped a passage upwards through the decks and hull of the ship, no longer wishing to remain ensconced in the broken vessel.

Standing on the hull of the Ahkam ship once she pulled herself free she turns her head to gaze about eyelessly along the horizon absorbing the sights. Several flatbody gargoyles, their thin, narrow bodies not strong enough to propel themselves into the air properly, curl into dense balls and were hurled by the Dirges into the air where they unfurl to drift on the winds like kites to inspect the landscape.

The moon they landed on had a breathable atmosphere, a boon more for the living crew of the warship than the Reconstructed attackers. They appeared to be on the shoreline of a freshwater ocean, the sand dunes stretching off into the distance with the occasional clusters of thick trunked trees and hardy grasses. Rain poured down on them, hissing and evaporating into steam as it struck Muics super-heated form, reminding her somewhat of Bastion if not for the ocean and sand.

Her head turns when she hears a commotion further along in the vessel as airlocks open with hisses of pressurized air. Ahkam soldiers leapt from the openings or pulled themselves onto the hulls. It didn't take long for them to spot the towering undead with a pillar of steam wafting off their form and they quickly began firing their weapons, bullets and blasters striking her armor and doing little but chipping away at the alloy of stone, metal and bone.

>cont
>>
>>1505831
Ripping a portion of the shattered hull away she lifts it in front of her for a momentary relief from the annoyance of their weaponry as she thought over her options. Her train of thought was rudely interrupted though as several plates in the armored hull of the ship began to shift and part, startling the tyrre that had been running along it toward Muic. The large hatch bursts open with a billow of steam and a roar of anger as the Ahkam made her escape.

Coiling on the surface of the ship she doesn't notice Muic standing further along the vessel as they twist and call out curses in their native language. They ignored their servants that tried shouting at them to draw their attention to undead General or the Reconstructed starting to emerge from within the vessel as well. Finally she snapped out angrily at an epikor, suited in a heavy exosuit that resembled the Arc Condender enhanced armor that Vle'Karaks personal bodyguards had worn, that had gained her attention only to twist around when she saw the molten Reconstructed staring at her silently.

The serpent coils up quickly, her hood flaring as Arc energy crackled along her body. Baring her fangs she snarls out only a simple and enraged, "You!" before she launched herself bodily at Muic, moving with blinding speed.

Lightning flashed above, illuminating the scene in a brief moment of stark clarity that seemed to drag out as Muic stood her ground and the Ahkam slithered rapidly across the battleships ruined hull with fangs bared and hood of bladed scales outstretched. Time regained its cohesion and Muic darts forward to meet the serpent.

Heavy footfalls leave small craters in her passing as she charges, a blade of molten metal forming in one hand as she tears a chunk of armored bulwark from the hull and sinks her claws into the metal as if it were liquid, hefting it as an impromptu shield. The Ahkam spat out a bolt of Arc lightning striking her shield, the energy crackling along her form strong enough for her to feel how dangerous the creature was. Yet she was Reforged, infused with the Lavafathers intent to turn her into a weapon against the Ahkam and the Arc hardly slowed her as her own innate Necrotic might fed on it.

With a defiant shout Muic launches herself through the air with a telekinetic leap, swinging her improvised shield into the side of the Ahkams face as it snapped at her. Turning the serpents head away from with her strike she slashed out with the molten blade, carving through the scales of its neck with a gout of blood and a keening shriek.

Twisting through the air she lands heavily, grunting as she lifted the shield in time to catch the swipe of its bladed tail crackling with Arc energy. The blades slice through the shield and cut into her arm but she brings her molten blade up, deflecting the strike and carving off one of the dense tail blades in passing.

As the two titans of Necrotic and Arc might dueled their soldiers watched the battle for a few moments until they seemed to realize each other were still there and alive, leaping into battle themselves. Tyrre dashed across the surface of the battleship to tackle Shock Trolls or were dragged into breaches of the hull by hidden undead. Epikor and kosda protected with Arc-enhanced exosuits leapt through the air exchanging fire with the Reconstructed. They fought their bloody battle, eventually moving toward the rain-swept dunes, undead constructs and zealot soldiers clashing on an alien moon far from home.

The Ahkam's movements were wild and full of rage but she was still incredibly powerful, not only from the Arc Surge's boost. They were fast despite their size leaving after-images of Arclight as they struck or dodged the Punishers attacks. Even their scales offered protection against the painful strikes of her molten blade, blows from their bladed tail or large head enough to send her stumbling back a few inches with each strike.

>cont
>>
>>1506206
Discarding the broken hull fragment she leapt back from the serpent further up the battleship and slammed the palm of her free hand on its surface. The serpent dashed forward to strike but hesitated as it saw the hull of the ship beginning to glow with heat around the undead. This hesitation wasn't ignore by Muic and she gave a shout, lifting her hand and dragging a large mass of melted metal from the ship then flung it out at the serpent. The glowing blobs of metal flew out, propelled by her telekinetic burst, to splatter along the Ahkam making it shout out in pain and fury. The melted metal was too weak to cause significant damage against the serpent but Muic took her chance.

Rushing forward she leaps into the air with another shout that cause many of those fighting around them to look up in time to see the Reconstructed General lift up her heavy boots. There was an audible gasp of startled surprise as she drop-kicked the Ahkam right under its eye, her weight and momentum carrying them both over the edge of the battleship to land in the wet dunes. The serpent writhes wildly, its tail taking out a small group of tyrre and trolls nearby in it's confusion.

Pushing away from the serpent Muic landed at the top of a tall sand dune, glad to have proper earth beneath her feet once more. The fact seemed to resonate with her as she looked down at the sand all around her. The Ahkam righted itself, scales smoldering from the cooling metal it hadn't shaken off, swinging its head around in search for its tormentor. Spotting Muic it let out another snarling hiss and dashed forward, Arc energy crackling along its body as its fury increases.

Her blade loses its form, the metal rejoining the rest of her molten blood, lifts her hands and gave a sudden spin. The sand around her erupted, swirling around her like a localized storm that hid her form moments before the Ahkam struck. The serpents open maw passed through the swirling sand, snapping down on only wet masses of sand making it recoil and shake its head in an effort to spit out the coarse grains. Seeing that Muic had disappeared she twists around madly, searching for the undead before letting out a shout of frustation, bolts of lightning leaping off her form and striking the sand around her leaving glass in its path.

Finally they sensed the massive well of heat building underneath them and the serpent looks down in confusion as their scales became warm. Realization dawned on them too late as a wave of molten sand and stone burst up from underneath the Ahkam, reaching up like pseudopods of some massive amorphous creature of intense heat to wrap around them. Screeching at the massive agony as the orange glowing mass bubbled up the Ahkam struggled against it's captor.

The Ahkam soldiers around them slowly stopped their fighting against the Reconstucted as they watched their living god struggle against the engulfing mass of molten glass and stone. Muic burst from the mass, molten glass drenching her form as she threw herself at the serpent. Clenching her fists together she swung upwards, striking the Ahkam under its jaw with a loud crack sending its head falling backwards to land bodily against the sand.

Not wishing to let her opponent rise up Muic landed on the wet sand, reaching out both hands toward the dazed, burning serpent then dragged her hands back curling her fingers into wicked claws. The beach itself, molten and not, rose open like a wave and washed over the Ahkam then with a stomp of her foot compressed down, pinning the Ahkam to the ground. She kept her hands held out, fingers curled into claws as she looked down at the serpent beneath her.

How shall Muic deal with her opponent?

We probably don't have a domination collar on us ,but if we di,use it. If not, keep her slagged up like that. This world might be home to some Akham slaves and a bound and beaten God is a stronger message then a corpse of one. Still hoping for that dollar though.

Could we contain the thing? If so, Knock it out. If not, execute it now.

Ok, good. I wasn't sure if this was a "Jury-rig a spaceship/Distress signal for help" or something closer to the Wayward disciple, except with Ahkam.

Let's put it in a metal egg made from the ship hull, coated in molten silicate. We need her alive. She tries anything and we pour molten sand in her wounds. After we 'pacify' her and her troops, we can then interrogate her on relevant stuff, such as 'where did you warp us to', 'who do you think Jadyk is', and 'do you know Vle'karak'.

Hey guys what part of this sounds like a good idea

Stranded on an unknown planet
No real means of escape limited supplies
Just defeated a living wanna be God who is mind you still surrounded by a ship of fanatical followers. And rather then drain them while they are down so there is no chance of them revolting the second anything goes wrong we go "lock it in a box wait"

Why not just have Muic drain it so.it's no longer a threat Nid the remains for info or hell have music attempt to reconstruct it into a lava arc snake

Tlacex almost felt bad for the Ahkam soldiers trapped in the command bridge with him and the Ahkam as they fought, bolts of Necrotic and Arc energy leaping off their forms to strike console, crew, and floor leaving them charred and broken.

The bone segments of his staff loosen their hold on each other, whipping out like a Manglers arm to strike at the Ahkams snapping maw with a sphere of hard-light energy at its end sending the beast recoiling from the blow. Tlacex grins as he throws himself forward over the heads of cowering epikor and kosda, his free hand thrusting forward to unleash a sheet of Necrotic flame washing over the Ahkam making it scream in pain. The hard-light sphere around the end of his staff flickers, becoming a pulsing hard-light blade, the Illuminator thrusting the newly formed spear at the serpent and gouging a bloody furrow of cauterized flesh through the scales of its jawline.

Flinching from the searing pain the Ahkam retaliated with a sudden jerk of her head, striking the undead square in the chest to send him flying back hard enough to leave a Tlacex shaped indent in the wall. Spitting out a loose tooth Tlacex lets out a laugh as he pushes himself from the wall, "Tell me, serpent. Do you wish for your followers to die with you? Wouldn't you wish them to survive to live another day to mourn you?" he asks as he floats before the Ahkam, waving a hand toward the crew that still survived and hid from the crowd of undead milling about the bottom tier and blasted open bulwark.

The Ahkam glares at Tlacex, her scales bloodied from their duel, then glances at their crew staring up at them. Their hiss of annoyance became one of anger, Arc energy crackling along her body before she snaps out, "They will die if I see fit! I am their god and they will be honored to die with me if you are to be my executioner. Now die!" she shrieks out and dashes forward with blinding speed, leaving afterimages of Arclight as she struck.

Tlacex threw up a shield of hard-light before him and pulls back his free hand to unleash another blast of Necrotic energy but the serpent surprised him, her large form moving deceptively fast as he found himself pulled in. His hard-light armor expands, creating a sphere of hard-light around him as the serpent coils tightly around him. She tries to crush his shield as Arc lightning leaps wildly off her form, striking everything around her including her own loyal followers. The coils of her body pressed down and squeezed at the sphere, trying to crack it open while ignoring the chanting that grew louder and louder from within.

>cont
>>
>>1514801
The serpent seemed to sense something was wrong as they hesitated in their attack only for them to recoil as if struck but no matter how they moved and struggled they could not uncoil from Tlacex. The chanting, an oath to the Wormstar, filled the chamber as Tlacex rose his voice ever louder that was quickly picked up by the rough, immature voices of the Reconstructed who stamp their shields and spears on the floor.

The Ahkams Arclightning ceased suddenly, the serpent letting out a bellow of pain and dismay as the Arclight crackling over their scales was consumed and replaced by a blaze of Necrotic flame. Twisting and flailing they struck out blindly in their agony as the flames crept along her form until their entire body was engulfed in that sickly green flame, their screams of pain mingling with the chanting that boomed within the chamber. Many of the Ahkam loyalists looked away and shielded their ears from the sounds but there were those that could not draw their gaze away from the spectacle of their living god burning alive in a conflagration of unholy power.

Finally the coils of the serpent loosened allowing Tlacex to rise up into the air, seated with his legs crossed on a hard-light platform as he brings himself up to eye-level with the burning serpent. It did not seem to recognize that Tlacex floated before it until he snatched its neck in his telekinetic grasp forcing them to hold still as the Necrotic flames weaken suddenly to a faint sheet of green fire that ripples across their form much like liquid.

His voice fills the chamber, commanding and direct as he forces the serpent to look at him, "By the judgement of the Wormstar I have found you wanting. You are no more a god than I am, but I serve the closest thing to a true god that exists in this universe. I offer you this, an offer that extends to all those that live and breath here. Die and serve Lord Jadyk, the Conquering Worm and successor to the Wormstar itself, with your bones and stolen power. Or you can live and live that life in servitude to him and the Necrotic Armada for the rest of your days. This is the choice that is given to all. This is your chance for penance, o' great serpent of sin and arrogance. Make your choice."

There was a sudden silence then, broken by the sounds of battles still raging in portions of the ship and the crackle of Necrotic flames, as the Reconstructed halt their chanting. There was a sound then, a clattering as an epikor dropped their blaster-rifle stood up from behind a console on a tier close to where the Illuminator and Ahkam had fought, a voice deadpan and defeated speaks out, "I yield."

>cont
>>
>>1514806
Those words were repeated as other Ahkam servants dropped their weaponry and stood while casting their eyes up toward the serpent above them. The Ahkam stared in disbelief as their vassals surrendered one by one, Reconstructed moving up the tiers in a calm manner to bind their hands peacefully behind their backs with ropes of self-tightening sinew.

Finally their head drooped in the invisible grasp of Tlacex, unable to meet his eyeless gaze, "I yield as well..." they say.

Beak pulling back from his teeth in a grin Tlacex nods, "The correct choice."

As across the galaxy the Armada fought and conquered Arc Serpents, confusion spread through the Calera prison once the radios and communications were disrupted by Reconstructed saboteurs. Within the high security wing ethereal Specters drifted through the walls on silent wings, their disruptor talons flexing in excitement as they avoided the patrols of the guards with the help of flatboy gargoyles that slither and scurry with their spines in between walls or along the piping running through the passages.

With the radios cut the soldiers began hurrying faster through the halls, several of the prisoners picking up on their unease starting to jeer and shout at the guards. One of the guards in the high security wing walked up to a cell where a human and vorh were hurling insults and cracked their baton against the mesh nearly striking the fingers of the occupants. The guard shouted at them promising broken limbs to the occupants but their threats were never finished as their boy jerks suddenly, the prisoners letting out shouts of confusion as a hand with claws like blades emerges from the guards chest, the wildly pulsing eyes of as Specter staring at them over the dead mans shoulder.

The body falls to the ground the same time as the other guards, the nearest having their head nearly removed from its shoulders by a cut that sliced into the spine partway. The prisoners recoil from the bars as their jeers became shouts of panic as the group of Specters flicker indistinctly before them, their clustered eyes pulsing with hypnotic patterns as nearly incomprehensible wings flap without sound. The blood sloughs off their limbs in splashes as if for moments there was nothing solid to stick to.

Floating to then through the mesh of a cell the Specter tilts its head curiously at the human and vorh that recoiled from it brandishing make-shift knives of sharpened cutlery and scrap. Lifting a single claw to it's lipless teeth the Specter speaks in the rough voice of an Reconstructed not meant for speech, "Freedom...yours, from the...Council. Follow...silence. Follow, now," it says to them, the captives staring in disbelief.

The undead turns it's back on them to the locked door, one of its claws passing through the lock several times with the sound of crunching metal but with no visible effect. Nodding over its shoulder to the captives it drifts through the mesh once more with a wave of its hand to follow. The captives glanced at each other before the vorh moves over to the door, giving it a gentle push and it swings open, pieces of broken mechanism falling out of the lock itself. They emerged, one stopping to grab the baton and electro-pistol from the dead guard while the other saw that the occupants of the wing had had visitors as well as their doors swing open and they emerge. Several stared wide-eyed at the carnage of the slaughtered guards as the others followed the undead floating above them motioning for them to follow.

>cont
>>
>>1515071
As the freed human, vorh and itru followed the undead they step over the dead guards that seemed to guide their exit. Rather than ascend to the surface they made their way into the tunnels under the prison that ran into the mesa itself. In the darkness of the utility tunnels, lit by the electric torches taken from dead guards, the Reconstructed rescuers have them stop in a damp chamber. They motion for them to wait then slide backwards through the stone walls disappearing.

Seemingly abandoned the prisoners began to talk hurriedly among themselves until they hear and feel a rumbling in the wall where the Specters had phased out. A sudden crack appeared in the wall then spread before the wall crumbled under its own weight, the crystal form of a Dirge sitting in silent repose shining bright under the beams of the prisoners torches, refracting them into a spray of brilliant ruby light. The nearly freed prisoners stare in disbelief at the floating statue and it moves back into the darkness of the tunnel where the Specters waited and waved them on.

An older, scarred itru was the first to hop forward to follow them, prompting the others to as well. The tunnel twisted to the right then left sharply illuminated now with natural light as the passage ends at a sheer cliff. The prisoners recognize the city dump below them where the marsh was toxic and stagnant and mutated creatures that might have once been sapient beings rooted around through the debris. They turned to stare at the Dirge that floated at the edge of the cliff-face where the Specters floated in and out of visibility.

A ramp of bone extends out of nothingness to touch the lip of the tunnel passage, the prisoners gasping in surprise but the Dirge floats forward and disappears from view. The Specters motion for them to follow before disappearing in the same empty spot of air and the prisoners glance at each other nervously. The same itru clacked their beak and gave a very human shrugs before hopping their way up the ramp, hesitating only a moment at the edge of the visible ramp then hopped forward and disappeared as well but their voice calls back reassuringly from nowhere. This spurs the escapees into action as they one by one walk or hop up the ramp and pass through the cloaking fields of the Coffins awaiting them.

As the Coffins lifted off the curved around and above the city itself, the escapees crowding around portholes in the cargo-bay of the Coffins to watch. The fires had spread to a third warehouse but the efforts of the cities volunteers and soldiers had managed to contain the blaze before it could spread any further.

With the captives freed and en route the Disciple reclines in his seat of bone and muscle, satisfied with the operations results. He suspected it wouldn't be long before the other guards discovered the carnage and the fact that forty prisoners had escaped under their noses. He doubted the Council would be pleased and the lets out a chuckle at the thought.
>>
>>1515065
Technically anything seen by a Reconstructed is recorded so this battle can be broadcast or shown later. Memories from a non-gargoyle or Reconstructed without a Cyclopean Gaze are a little difficult to clean up for the visual medium but Flatbody Gargoyles are part of the standing boarding party composition.

So this means the Armada does have a good quality recording.
>>
>>1515092
Perhaps we should "accidentally leak footage of this to that underground news network I'm sure they would get a kick out of it
>>
>>1515116
I'm worried that would send the wrong message. See, people will think Jadyk believes himself to be a god, or godlike. True or not, that will cause people to distrust him the same way people distrust the Ahkam, for the same reasons. It will be used in propaganda, not that there is a shortage of materiel for that, but it will lower the Armada in the eyes of the living, making our efforts to destabilize the Confeds from within more difficult, and make it more difficult to pacify conquered regions. Its one thing if your conquered, its another if your conquered by a religious group whose leader believes himself to be a god you know? Its also harder to support from the outside.
>>
>>1515163
Just do like all true demigod should "always deny being a God when asked, but allow people worship if it brings them comfort"

We could also.edit the video to seem.like a recording from the ship but the data has been "damaged" so bits seems to skip omit certain parts like the sound fails during the chant video skips to the choice given etc and the Arkham surrendering

You know full propagandist mode
>>
>>1515197
Perfect.
>>
Just a suggestion. I think we should make the 2 current captives into predators. In fact we should be making as many predators as we can from the Arkham expansion campaign we can then use these predators to assist with ahem, liberation of the Osjiic territories due to their weakness to the ark, in turn we would be getting more void disciples and nom empowered hero units to be deployed against the Arkham or sunscale when they arrive

Just really use our resources to their full advantage. Also should we start taking Vlekarrak for walkers around the capital, let him see just what we are working towards. I am sure he can be trusted not to dick us about, the other two captive arkham I wouldn't trust alone in a sealed box though
>>
>>1515383
You mean the Ahkam Captives? I mean, maybe? There is a reason why there are Disciples, and I think we are going to create some new kind of General that is part of the Ark Family with them, or use them to breed new Ahkam loyal to the Armada. I agree with what your saying, but we don't want to water down Quality for increased Quantity.
>>
>>1515413
Oh no Arkham breeding would be too long winded plus I don't think Juveniles can reproduce we would need a matriarch and I don't think that would.work out well.

No I mean those two Arkham serpents we have tethered to assist with Arc research.

They could still do research and actually assist in our expansion if we just turned them into reconstructed hero's wielding the Arc
>>
>>1515458
Oh ok. Maybe? I mean, we should Probably turn Papa Snake first, and then do it, otherwise we would probably train them from the beginning,as their minds would be destroyed from the turning process to make them loyal to the Armada. With Papa snake around they will be redundant for that purpose as he knows more about the Arc then anyone we know.
>>
>>1515479
I dunno about waiting, idle snakes are the devils play things. It's just overall better to make them predators and 've done with it where as I feel papa Snek is worthy for immortality if he can prove his loyalty
>>
>>1515479
I'd prefer for some of our new captured Akham to be reconstructed, preferably the more unwilling ones. The two juveniles have helped us,all be it unwillingly, for a while now,so I just think they shouldent be our first choices for reconstruction.
>>
>>1515530
>>1515564
The one with Muic? Definitely, The others? Fine, though I would like to keep some for more experiments and psychological testing. I don't think the other two we have at the Arc temple are females, unless I'm mistaken. I just didn't want to put them through training again, and I was concerned we would Alienate Papa snake, but you guys are right, more servants of the armada are better then Idle snakes.
>>
>>1515581
So maybe have Jaydk drain one for arc, then study the corpse, convert the second captive and have music try her hand at hero creation?
>>
>>1515831
I always figured we would drain the Matriarch for Arc, kind of on reflex, except Jadyk can't hold it without reforging his body, I don't think. Which we still need to do. But I think your plan is a good one though.
>>
>>1515581
I mainly want to see what reconstructed we cook up,plus the experience with new species is always nice. I just would prefer those Akham that havnt benefited the Armada in life to be first in line for the choping block.

Ruscuv cared little about the living that were caught in the fray as she dueled with the Ahkam serpent, many of them electrocuted from bolts of Arc energy or rotting away under a stray blast of Necrotic energy. It did not take long for the survivors to attempt fleeing from the battle after several of the Ahkams guards were quickly dispatched by the undead monstrosity, many of them fleeing directly into the claws of the Reconstructed. Ruscuv had given no commands for capturing the living, the Think Tanks stepping in to order the capture of the highest ranking officers if possible.

Tendrils writhing with excitement Ruscuv leaps back from the Ahkam, scythes bloodied with new nicks in the blades and new scars in her armor. She lets out a laugh that shakes her armored form, claws kneading at the ground as her tail pincer clicks together with anxious energy, "You fight well for something that is alive," she complimented the Ahkam.

Swaying with her hood flared the Ahkam hisses in disgust, marred with slashes and burns from the Lichs attacks, "You believe this to be a game?!" it demanded, sounding almost offended, "Your bones will adorn my palace!"

"I was going to say the same thing," Ruscuv retorts then charges forward, each heavy step of her clawed legs leaving craters in the floor or trampling consoles in showers of sparks. Belching forth a blast of crackling Necrotic energy it strikes the Ahkam making it recoil slightly but it twisted its body around, bladed tail glowing with Arc energy as it slashes at the Lich. The tail strikes her shoulder sending her spinning but she just turns into it, using the moment to shift her angle suddenly and charging with a surge of speed.

Her scythes lash out, carving into the dense scales of its body and the Ahkam hisses in pain. It strikes with blinding speed, the Arc energy crackling around its skull exploding out in a shockwave when it struck Ruscuv sending her flying back and landing on a lower tier. The Lich lets out a laugh even as her armor was scorched even worse, Necrotic static crackling along her form.

She didn't tarry long though, dashing and clambering over the tiers and consoles as the Ahkam spat a continuous bolt of Arc lightning from its open maw. The bolt chases the Lich passing over consoles that explode in its wake until it struck her tail. Ruscuv let out a yelp in surprise as her body twitches, the bolt sweeping over her to strike her armored form dead-on. Her body curls in on itself in a reflexive motion the dome of armor over her back letting her tuck her lower body and tail up into an oblong shape of dense armor.

>cont
>>
>>1516001
The bolt ceases only for a moment before another boom of thunder rippled through the chamber as it shot another Arc bolt at the hunkered down Lich. This Ahkam was older than either that Tlacex or Muic had faced, their strength second only to the one still hidden within the orbital city palace. Motes of twisting light began to fill the room as the serpent opened itself to the Arc, drawing in the power of the Surge to enhance her strength even further in an attempt to slay the Lich. Arc lightning leaps from her form, her scales crackling with the build-up of energy enough to damage objects around her with the leaping bolts.

Finally the Ahkam ceases the attack, panting heavily as the Arc energy continued to course along their form as they looked down at Ruscuv. Her armored form sparked occasionally with the lingering Arc energy, the chitin and bone scorched and unmoving. The Ahkam began to emit their guttural laugh, believing themselves triumphant until they were cackling in relief and excitement.

Their laughter fell silent though as they saw the Arc energy crackling along her form be consumed and replaced with the sickly green light of Necrotic energy engulfing her form. It was Ruscuvs turn to laugh as she uncurled from her defensive mode, Necrotic energy pulsing along her form in waves to gather into a roiling sphere held suspended between the trio of pincer claws.

"Don't look offended, my dear. If I had been anyone else but a Lich of my caliber, that would have killed me. Take comfort, I will remember this battle for eternity. Tell me your name," Ruscuv demanded even as bolts of Necrotic energy began to arc off the tumultuous sphere of light.

The serpent rises up, hood flaring in defiance as they engulfed themselves in Arc lightning as well, the very fabric of the ship deteriorating around them from the massive build-up of energy as she taps into the Arc Surge, "I am Cze'Nol, daughter of Quantac'Vrix and fourth in line of for succession of her throne. You are not my death, abomination, I am Ahkam!"

Inhaling sharply then out she unleashes a truly powerful blast of Arc lightning that could damage or destroy a sub-capital with its strength. Ruscuv retaliates, sinking her scythes into the deck as her body is pushed back from the beam of sickly green energy leaps out from her tail-pincer to strike the Arc bolt dead on. The two beams of elemental energy meet with a powerful blast that flattens consoles and sends powerful bolts of both energies leaping out wildly.

Ruscuv was impressed with the strength of the serpent and its ability to channel the Arc Surge into their attacks. Yet as before when she had curled up into her defensive form she hadn't merely withstood the attacks of potent Arc energy, she had consumed it. Let it infuse her body and fuel her own Necrotic might as she consumed the energy of the attack to rejuvenate her.

>cont
>>
>>1516004
This was no different, the beam of Necrotic energy not a meeting of an opposing force but as a connection for Ruscuv to feed on the Arc blast. The Ahkam realized this tactic much too late as the sickly green beam neared closer and closer, the aura of Necrotic energy around Ruscuv growing in strength until the very deck and consoles around her began to corrode and rust from her very presence.

Ruscuv spread her humanoid limbs and sweeps them inwards as if pulling the ambient Arc energy to herself, "Yes! Yes! Show me your strength Cze'Nol! Show me the strength of the Ahkam gods so that I may consume it! Give it all to me!" she shouted her scythes lifting from the deck of the floor as she rose up to her full height with her tail still maintaining the beam.

Cze'Nol seemed to grow ever more alarmed as Ruscuv started approaching her and she tried to pull away, to cut her connection to the Arc but the Surge flowed through her still, the ferocious Lich keeping it open as she feasted. With a great effort of will the Ahkam managed to close that connection with a shockwave of Arc energy that made Ruscuv stumble only for a single step. With the Arc bolt failing the beam of Necrotic energy strikes the Ahkams face, stripping away scale and muscle to the bone in the flash of an instant before it recoils and Ruscuv ceases the attack herself.

She gave the serpent no time to recover though, throwing herself forward on her sturdy legs and leaping at the Ahkam to tackle it bodily. Humanoid hands sink their claws into the scales of the serpent as her scythes rise and fall rapidly, carving through flesh and bone. Wide maw opening to take massive bites of raw flesh in her ravenous hunger, the serpent screeching out in untold agony as they were feasted upon, blood and viscera flying as they tried to buck the Lich off them but she clung doggedly to the Ahkam in her frenzy of limbs.

>cont
>>
>>1516005
The sounds of Cze'Nols death rattle fills the chamber, leaving only the sound of the gruesome feast. With her hunger slaked Ruscuv lifts herself up from the ravaged corpse, blood painting her form with a thick coat as Necrotic energy pulses along her form.

She focused in on herself, attempting to draw out the Arc itself but she could only feel that familiar rotting sensation of the Necrotic. With a small sigh and shrug of both pairs of shoulders she gave up at the attempt and turned to look down at the clusters of Reconstructed that filled the tiers below her. The bowed, prostrating themselves before her as hymns and praises to the Wormstar issued with their ill-formed voices.

Ruscuv looked down at the lifeless eyes of the serpent that looked up at her almost accusingly, "You will be remembered Cze'Nol. A true warrior despite being a false god," she says to the corpse then orders the Reconstructed to begin evacuating the warship before reinforcements could come from the orbital city or the remaining Ahkam vessels fighting with the Armada ships above. She nods to a pair of Dirges and the telekinetic Reconstructed begin carefully carving Cze'Nols head from its body for transport.

That was awesome. I love the contrast from our new undead generals and the old guard's brutality.

Jaydk: I don't understand an entire fleet conquered but nothing to loot!

Jor: would probably help if the reconstructed had eyes...

Jaydk: (glares) They can see just fine! We are not having this conversation again..

Jor: I mean even the Cyclops they have no depth perception they assume the box is too far away so they give up looking through them.. not to mention the Talons and trolls seem to think they need to personally notify you every time they find a foot..

I appreciate the thought but dice should be final
Now we could take more time and do a better job looking or some event takes place that cuts out looting short

But dice should be final in Allen situations

Fortunately, this wasn't an Allen situation.
