Previous thread!-

>>1451589

Last time on XenoMorph Quest we began our humble beginnings on a isolated Scientific Research Station conducting strange and probably illegal experiments in the space equivalent of international waters. We slaughter scientists and androids, create a queen and gain two powerful assets early.

Our current hive total is
1 Queen
21 eggs
4 drones
1 Shadow
1 Predalien
1 Heavy Warrior.

We have 12 Human Captives and a Tyrosian Thumper from the secure specimen storage.

>Tyrosian Thumper- Gain Bulky body mutation. Perfect for warriors and Drones who will see much physical activity. Bulky increases their Physical size and strength, making them much more durable.

>Implant to create 12 Drones

>Create 6 warriors

>Create 3 Heavy warriors

>Other.

>>1480477
>Create 4 warriors, and 1 Heavy warrior

have two tanks, and 4 more agile killers
>>
>>1480477
Let's pull a compromise and create 6 warriors, my reasoning is that we're bottled up with a limited number of hosts and eventually we'll have to capture a ship if we want any chance to escape. We need to be able to kill a greater fraction of hostiles than they kill of us, which means we need units that can both soak up some punishment but also deal out some damage, while being numerous enough that losing a few won't represent a massive loss of resources.
>>
Also before the end of this thread I will post a pastebin or google doc of the available mutations and molts available. But if you feel like suggesting something feel free to toss it up whether its a unit type, mutation or tactic.

AND THE DICE GODS HAVE SPOKEN.
>>
You secure the Humana securely the walls of the fledgling hive. Your Queen growls softly, sniffing over the offerings as eggs begin shifting, the scuttle of bony digits in the darkness prompting fresh screams of terror before they are smothered by grasping legs and choking tails...

>The next day.

Your group of new warriors standby ready, cleaning themselves of bits of flesh and fluid after their molt from their cocoons. After they had feasted on their hosts they turned their ravenous hunger on the remaining humans, tearing them to pieces and feeding until they were fit to burst.

>6 warriors gained. Warriors are the basic frontline units of the hive. These are beasts bred and shaped to kill. Next to the drones they are by far the most malleable of the hive, their bodies and minds suited to reshaping for new tasks.

>who are you and how many minions will accompany you

>Shadow-Runner adaptation, the hives Assassin and scout unit.

>Predalien- a beast of muscle and predator fury, the hives close combat master.
>>
>>1480616
Switch to shadow, take the new warriors with you. We should see if there are any more parts of the station left to explore. Do the warm living bipeds have a queen like the un-living bipeds? Are they servants of yet another queen of metal and silicon, or are they subservient to another living biped? Where do they coordinate their activities from?

You growl happily as your new warriors follow you into the ductwork. As you crawl along you peer the occasional grate, watching the increasingly sparse humans as they go about their work. Many are armed with shock poles or small pistols.

The androids have pulled back to the upper level labs, Mess halls and Dormitories, life support and Backup power, setting up barricades and killzones with the heavier weapons from the main armory. Human scientists and workers have joined them, the fidgety and sleepless looking humans sitting by in groups when not hard at work.

As you crawl higher the security increases, armored androids marching in patrols, armed with bulky rifles and shotguns.

Eventually the ducts narrow to the point that you cannot continue and you resort to simply watching as the humans and machines mill about.

A human with an escort of armored androids confronts a group of technicians, the woman's voice ringing through the halls

"What are you ingrates doing out here? Coffee break? Smoke break? We have Contagions loose on maintenance and cargo decks, main power is down, our shuttle bay is completely fucking SPACED!!!! And you fucks are on COFFEE BREAK??? If the Director even thought you shots weren't doing your jobs he'd have you fed to those monsters on Beta Deck!! Now get the FUCK back to WORK!!!"

The technicians scatter, rushing to get back to whatever gets them away from the irate assistant.

Let's take another crack at sabotaging the ventilation system. Continue sowing confusion and dramatically reducing the number of enemies while minimizing our own losses. The biped's little queen is one of them, none of their frail bodies can function outside a very narrow range of atmospheres, we have a distinct advantage here.

Lots of dubs tonight, lads. Drink them in.

Also, can we get a seduction type unit. I know it sounds insane, but it could be a viable distraction tactic. Have it vocalize like a wounded woman in a low light/high ambient noise area to trick other humans into approaching its location then BAM! tackled from the side by a drone.

Pic somewhat related.
>>
>>1480941
Actually that sounds kinda cool I wouldn't just have it have female voices though
>>
>>1480965
I get you. Make it excel in vocal mimicry and observed body language. If it can sound and move like its wounded, that would net you a few humans until they caught on. But then the psychological damage is done for now everyone is paranoid about going anywhere and trying to save anyone because it could be a morph.

Psych warfare mutant strain.
Fucking fund it.
>>
>>1480965
An infiltration unit would be pretty neat, some form that could perhaps kill a person and then replicate them by molting. It could retain their recent memories (a few days perhaps) and with upgrades could retain more and more till consuming a person gives the spy-morph all their relevant and important memories.
>>
>>1480991
Vocal mimicry will be allowed as a mutation

>>1480994
Physical mimicry is a bit much
>>

>>

I don't think Cursed would let us get such an overpowered unit
>>

>>
>>1481037
All of the perks I wrote up are in the previous thread, I don't know if QM is also making his own or not.

Qm is definitely making his own list. The queen gets mutations to egg production and hive control.
>>
>>1481027
That is a bit overpowered
>>
Here's some more perks, I've got others for the hive coming along, but I'll keep perk posts to clusters of two, since I can't fit three average sized lists into the character limit.

(Psychological Warfare Perks)
>Distress Mimicry
You’ve heard enough humans in pain to capably mimic these noises! Mimic them so you can manipulate them.
+1 to Ambush rolls

>Advanced Distress Mimicry
You’re learning now! You have a capable understanding of when and how to string together sets of human noises to convey basic concepts.
+2 to Ambush rolls

>Adept Linguist
You understand how to translate your complex experience into the simple grunting of humanity, deftly lead them to their doom with contradictory and incorrect instructions while impersonating important humans!
+3 to Ambush rolls

(Combat perks 2nd degree)
>Tetradontiforme
Specialized glands in fingertips, toes, and tail produce small quantities of tetrodotoxin which gather at the cutting edges of claws and the tail spike. Injuries inflicted by these Xenomorphs lead to difficulty breathing, convulsions, heart failure, paralysis, coma, and possibly death.
+Increased damage in combat
-1/4th of humans violently subdued die

>Bioregenesis
Xenomorphs develop an organ system specialized for self-repair and can more rapidly replace damaged cells and regenerate lost blood, tissue, and carapace.
+increased health
+reduced stealth

>Pressurized circulatory nodes
Killed Xenomorphs final act is to use specialized muscle groups and valves to spray as much of their caustic blood as possible in the general direction of whatever killed them, they might kill you, but they won’t do it cleanly.
+injures all hostiles within mele range
-reduced health

Yes im quite alive but was enormously sleepy and crashed on the couch. >>1481295
Excellent list. These are definitely in :)
>>
>83+6. Sabotage Ventilation system

As you scuttle through the ductwork back towards your stronghold in the cargo deck you detect a faint gust of cool air moving through the ducts. As the cool air filters through the grates the humans sigh in relief.

"Fucking finally. Damn air conditioning has been on the fritz since main power got knocked out"

You clack your teeth. Cold air is no benefit to the hive. The hive prefers humidity and heat to grow. This "air conditioning" must be stopped.

Following the gusts of cool air you clamber through the ducts, your warriors following close behind. You push aside gently spinning fans, worming your slick form through the gaps. Eventually the gusts strengthen to a breeze and then a near hurricane howl as the ducts grow wider, forcing you to dig your claws into the metal to prevent from being pushed back.

You rip your way through a tiny hatch in the ducts and find yourself in a small room overlooking a cylindrical chamber filled with large spinning fans. A pair of human technicians step back in shock as your squad if warriors follow you through the hole.

You snarl, gesturing with a claw at the terrified technicians, the men are backed against their consoles, eyes white and pants wet, the stink of ammonia in the air.

Your warriors approach, gripping them by the arms as they shrink away in terror. The powerful aliens turn and lift, flinging the men against the glass of their viewing station again and again. The material spiderwebs and cracks, shattering on the third toss, the shrieking technicians falling into the abyss of the ventilation shaft, their bodies rent into pieces by the spinning blades.

Far below the sound of rending metal reaches you, it seems the impact of a technicians body bent one of the fans, the powerful motors insistence on moving tearing the shaft to pieces. Alarms and klaxons begin blaring as the chain reaction crawls up the shaft.

Your squad dashes into the ducts and crawls away rapidly as the control station is annihilated by a wave of spinning metal, the massive fan blades shredding the room into metal confetti.

>83+6. Improve nest. All your basement are belong to us.

Over the next days, the entire bottom reaches of the station fall to the creeping black resin that makes up your hive. Walls, ceilings, floors, ducts, all are covered in layers of the glossy black substance. The ever increasing humidity condensates and drips from the ceiling and runs down the walla, collecting on the floors in murky puddles. Isolated maninenace androids are cemented to the walls, their plaintive voices echoing throughout the midnight halls.

Pockets of technicians and laborers are found as they attempt to escape the foul air, dragged back to the nest screaming and clawing, their cohorts fleeing towards what they perceive as safety. Your presence is most definetly known and there is nothing that they can do to stop you.

A visible demarcation can be found as an Android stronghold at an abandoned lab houses several humans along with their synthetic guardians. Your hive can advance no further until they are dealt with.

>Lower Station Levels are Now hive territory. The stifling heat and choking humidity are as effective a defense as your own teeth and claws. Humans will be hard pressed to advance into your territory.

I think we should lend the shadow the ability to mimic humans, perhaps we can trick the remaining station crew into sending a sizable force down into our hive. >99. Excellent success! Attack the android strongpoint!
>Bringing everyone. 4 drones, 1 heavy warrior, 1 Predalien, 6 warriors, a Shadow and a partridge in a pear tree.

The Androids manning the defenses of the Strongpoint, a heavily reinforced abandoned lab on Delta level, scan the darkness of the nearby corridor with their pistols. The flashlights beams illuminate the inky darkness and the scored holes in the walls show where they had taken potshots at the encroaching XenoMorphs. If synthetics could be nervous, these two would be terrified.

"Hostile lifeform detected"
"Opening fire"
A flash of inky black carapace in the darkness prompts a barrage of gunfire, the bullets sparking from the metal as the XenoMorph scurries away with a furious screech.

"Contact lost"
"Network connection error. Pursuit canceled. Returning to Guardian protocol"

The synthetics turn to resume their patrol around the labs outer defenses but are met by a towering wall of muscle and Chitin. The Predalien and a pair of your warriors growl softly as the Androids process the situation.

"Hostile liform detect-"
"Opening Fi-"

A single swipe of the Predaliens scythelike tail rends both of their heads from their shoulders, their bodies twitching spasmodicaly as their mouths work without voices.

Inside the lab behind barricades of tables and chairs sit several human technicans, some crouched by themselves and others huddled in groups, darting their eyes about at the exchange of gunfire that had been uninvestigated by the remaining Security. You peer through a slat in ceiling, growling softly as you watch the Androids vigilantly watch the doors and man the barricades, weapons trained and eyes unblinking.

Yet they are facing the wrong way. With a screech you rip through the flimsy metal, dropping upon a Security android, followed by four of your warriors and all of the drones.
"hostiles detected! Hostile detected! Opening fire!" repeats the pinned synthetic before you jam your claws into its head, pulling back until the twitching ceases. Your warriors and drones leap upon the nearby technicians and Security, bowling them over and mauling with tooth and claw. Across the room the remaining androids turn their weapons upon your group, several shots crashing into the walls and furniture, a unlucky drone being caught in the midsection with a growl of pain and a spurt of acidic blood.

>cont
>>
>>1482254

But in turning their attention to you they seal their fate as lumbering footsteps turn into a thundering charge. The flimsy barricade is smashed aside by a arm the size of your body. The androids standing nearby can do nothing but be smashed to pieces by the lumbering might of your heavy warrior. Behind its bulk comes the rest of your forces, falling upon the increasingly outnumbered security like wolves.

Eventually the shooting stops with the sound if ripping synthetic flesh, the last shell casings falling to the floor amid puddles of blood and synthetic fluid. Your hive has won its first assault and proven their superiority.

You grab half of a human, the upper half you think, its hard to tell with all the gashes and pieces missing and drag it to a secluded corner as the Heavy Warriors gorge on refuse and chunks of meat and bone. You tuck into the juicy meal and stuff your belly, following your queens wishes and feeling her presence guiding your body...

>Hours later.

You emerge from your slumber, yawning and stretching happily as your claws sink into the soft material of the hive. You growl and are surprised when the noise comes out...different. Its less harsh, more of a mammalian sound than the grating voices of the hive.

As you rejoin your family you note that the Heavy warriors are lumbering up as a pair. Their carapace are thicker and stronger, bristling with ridges and plates of armor. Their bodies bulge with muscle and tissue, each limb thicker around than your body. They growl deeply, vibrating the air as they drop to all fours, shaking the ground slightly as they whip their heavy tails around.

You press against a grate and attempt to push into an empty room only to find strips of steel welded over the grate. It seems the humans have wished up to your strategy and blocked your main point of ingress.

As you continue on you hear the regular thump of booted feet. A steady stomp of heavy figures marching along a corridor. You maneuver through the vents and finally manage to catch sight of a group of heavily armed and armored androids, nearly twenty strong, marching into the Freight elevator. They are led by a team of men with large backpacks, a small antenna extending from one.

>99+6. Ambush in hive proper.

The androids step from the freight elevator, weapons raised and sweeping the corners as they advance. Their human controllers stand within the center of the formation and guide them via verbal orders and small wrist mounted displays.

Your squad pulls back to the depths of your hive, spreading out as Dutch moves forward, taking a position near the entrance.

"LT.. what is this shit on the walls? Its some kind of... Yeeuck please tell me that's not their shit" one says, shying away from the slick walls. Their glass helmets are connected to a series of oxygen tanks on their backs.

"Jeez boss. Look at the temperature and humidity down here. 137.8 Fahrenheit and 97% Humidity. Jesus fuck. Reminds me of home" says another, grateful for their climate controlled suits.

"Both of you shut the fuck up. These things are probably already watching us. You've all seen the security footage. Theyre SMART. Damn smarter than you Micheals so keep your heads out of your asses and the bots moving." snaps the third, an older looking human with several stripes on their armored suit.

The first pair of androids approach Dutch's position and he snarls in vicious glee as they walk obliviously closer. They are armed with bulky rifles, bodies encased in a thick, polymer armor.

Dutch clambers to the ceiling as the androids and their human handlers approach, weapons raised and lights sweeping the shiny black corners.

"Negative contact"
"No hostile lifeforms detected"
"Continuing search. Seek and destroy protocol engaged"

The first Squad of androids move forward, a staggered formation allowing them to cover each other and move as a unit.

It matters not one bit.

"1st squad has contact!"

"Enemy lifeforms sighted. Engaging"
"Opening fire"
"Opening Fi-"

Your first group of warriors and drones falls upon the first group of androids, bullets whistling by as they leap and dodge in the near perfect darkness. The androids deaths are illuminated by muzzle flashes as claws pierce through armor and rend synthetic flesh. Tailblades sweep arms and legs from torsos, opening body cavities and piercing skulls. Soon the 1st squad lies rent and twitching, bodies littered in pieces throughout the hall.

"LT 1st squad is down. Theyre all fucking down sir." yelps one of the humans, rapidly checking his wrist display.

"Five armored Security Androids... Down in seconds! Fuck LT! FUCK!"

"Ok ok.. Lets fall back a bit. Let these shits come to us"

The group begins pulling back through the tunnel, weapons fixed on the maw of your hive as they desperately attempt to gain ground.

They walk directly into the claws of your remaining forces.

"Hostile lifefor-"
"Enga-"

They have only the briefest moment to react before they are hit from both sides by your warriors, drones, shadows and heavy warriors. The heavy warriors simply shrug off the bullets, the high velocity rounds sinking into their thick tissue. They swat aside security androids and grind them into paste under heavy claws.

Your drones leap from the walls and ceilings, tackling the synthetics and bearing them to ground, claws slashing wildly as milky white fluid sprays into the air.

The humans are caught within the center of a ring of their android servants, firing to little effect in all directions. Directly beneath you.

The humans cluster up, their android guardians firing into the swarming Xenomorphs, rounds sparking off of the walls or rarely releasing small spurts of acidic blood.

The leader of the humans keys his communication relay in panic. The teams of his superiors and coworkers in the security headquarters are treated to the live video feed from his rifle camera and the squad leaders terrified voice.

"Command! We're experiencing heavy resistance! Up to-Get back you fuck!(Gunfire) Back! Up to 60% casualties! We're surrounded! Repeat! We- MICHEALS! NO!(Gunfire and A unintelligible scream) WE NEED SUPPORT! THERE'S TOO MANY!! Oh god NO!(Gunfire followed by a pained scream)

The security team hold their breath, gripping their desks tightly as the video feed shows only the small section of floor illuminated.

The whispering voice of the squad leader comes shakily over the comms
"Ple-please.... Come get us.... They... They killed Micheals... Dragged Thomasson off... Please...."

His voice cuts off with a terrified scream of agony with a wet rip of flesh. A bony clawed hand flips over his lifeless corpse, Newts dripping maw hovering over the camera.

"Shhhhhhhhh...."

With the android menace dealt with for now your wounded Hivemates drag themselves to the nest and curl into balls, letting their efficient bodies repair the damage dealt to them.

You lead your group of Xenomorphs back up the wide open Freight elevator, crawling through the hatch on the roof of the car into the dimly lit corridor of the next level.

You think you may be able to catch some humans for food if you're careful.

Yet you may also he able to find some lab animals and bring them back to the nest

Catch humans, animals after all cannot operate weapons or oppose us in an organized manner. The humans haven't reproduced even once to our knowledge, so every one they lose is one they can't replace. We'll wear their numbers down with attrition while swelling our own and then overwhelm them.

If we can start breeding, say, rats or rabbits, it'd be a steady source of food for our youngest members, rather than wasting potential human hosts.

Also, we should try and nab some of those caged alien predators, try and pick up some more mutations.
>>
>>1488453
The humans are reduced to several dozen and there are easily over a hundred androids remaining, concentrated on the other levels.
>>
>Catch Humans.

You creep along the walls, sticky pads of your feet giving you firm purchase as you search for any remaining humans. Your pack stalk along behind you, maws dripping clear slaver.

"I don't know Whats going on ok? None of us do!"

"Command issued some kind of lockdown and told us to stay here! Apparently some specimens got loose and started breeding in the cargo hold"

"That killteam must have sorted them out right?"

"I heard up on Beta deck they rigged a lifepod with some kind of beacon and jettisoned it. Are our main comms still down?"

You growl happily. It seems a small group of humans have remained on this deck, dutifully following the orders to remain at their "secure" station.

You pull loose a panel from the ceiling, slithering into the narrow space while your warriors adhere themselves to the wall. You creep ahead, following the humans voices into a nearby Dormitory, its door blocked from the inside.

The humans huddle around a small terminal, one is elbow deep in its wiry guts, possibly attempting to fix it as the others discuss what is possibly going on.

Well. No rest for for the wicked and they will learn soon enough.

You smash your claws into the ceiling panel and it falls inward, the heavy sheet of metal shearing off one humans leg as he kneels to hand the technician a tool. The others scatter, some running to the door and throwing away the flimsy barricade before dashing into the hall. Their screams of terror cutting off abruptly as your warriors snatch them.

You leap upon a human advancing with a large chunk of metal, the foolish biped assuming the weapon will frighten you off. Your tail blade pierces his chest and your momentum sends the man flying, his chest split open and organs falling free.

Your drones pour in through the open door, leaping upon the remaining humans, bearing them to the floor and smashing their heads into the metal.

The technician has barely had time to push himself from his station before you grip his head in both bony claws, lowering your toothy jaws to his face.

"Oh god WHAT THE FU-"
*CRUNCH*

Gore and thick Grey matter splatter the wall behind the unfortunate man. Your hive gathered much food and even some live hosts. A job well done.

Deep within Alpha Deck, a group of Security Personell cluster around a flashing terminal. They wave over a older human male to show him the alert

"What's going on?"

"Micheals locator beacon! Its activated and... And its moving! Its in.... The upper level of Delta deck? How the hell has he gotten there?"

"Who gives a fuck HOW he got there! He got away from those... THINGS! Get me Barracks on the comm!"

"This is Chief Baker! I want two fully armed Sweep Teams on... Deck 9, Lab 11C Delta Deck fucking NOW! We've got a man down there!"

"YES SIR! Barracks out!"

>Delta Deck

Micheals groans, struggling against his resent restraints as you and a pair of warriors secure him to a chair, his arms glued to the armrests and his feet secured to the floor. The flashing beacon is jammed in his pocket as he attempts to wriggle away.

Your troops secret themselves into the floor and ceiling, remaining statue still as the elevator doors at the other end of the deck open.

The Sweep teams step from the elevator, weapons raised and ready. Some even carry rectangular polymer riot shields, small shotguns poking through the slots in their centers.

There are well over forty of them, surrounding their human handlers, the men clad in armored climate suits, wildly swinging their rifles about, trying to illuminate the inky darkness.

"He-HEEEELLLLPPPP!!! HELP!!!! HELP ME!!!!"

"What the fuck! That must be Micheals! Where the hell is it coming from!"

"Up ahead! Keep your eyes on the motion tracker Zhang, don't want these fuckers creeping up on us!"

"Gotcha boss. No bugs are getting by us"

Humans pull forward, their android guards struggling to keep up as they turn one corner, then the next. They push open the door, dashing past several of your warriors without notice, unable to distinguish carapace from resin.

They pull to a stop as as they enter the lab, the back of Micheals head visible over the top of the chair.

"Micheals? You ok buddy? We're here to get you. Come on man, youre safe now"

The Security officer steps forwards, spinning the chair around as Micheals groans and shakes his head

"Fuck! What's that shit on his face? Is he... Glued to the chair?"

"Chief what the fuck is going on here? You guys seeing this?"

"Boss... If his mouth was covered who the fuck was screaming?!"

The first officer manages to get the resin from Micheals mouth and the terrified man sucks several desperate breaths before screaming
"GET THE FUCK OUT! RUN! THEYRE STILL HERE!!!"

A wet gurgling whisper comes from the nearby hallway

"Shhhhhh...."

"Oh god.. Oh god just fucking shoot me man just shoot me don't let them get me again shoot me shoot me shoot me"

The isolated androids continue to fall. Your warriors striking from above, below, behind, striking from the walls themselves and fading away like shadows.

You creep slowly along the ceiling grate as they manage to get Micheals loose from his resin restraints, taking the exhausted mans arms over their shoulders they begin advancing toward the door, weapons ready.

"We gotta-gotta go... Gotta... Get out of here. Theyre.. Theyre gonna get us Zhang... Gonna... Gonna get us all."

"Hush man, well be fine. We just gotta get to the elevator"

"Reynolds, how many Bots do we have left?"

"32 sir. Fuck wait. 29. 27. Fuck! Theyre dropping like flies!"

"Form em up around us. We're getting out of here"

A wet, rasping voice echoes from the ceiling
"Runnnn.... Dieeee.... DIEEEEEEE"

A flurry of shots answer, bullets punching neat holes into the metal of the ceiling. A screech of fury echoes as claws scrape along the metal.

"Did that fucking thing just fucking TALK!?! What the fuck are these eggheads cooking up here!?!"

"We need to get the fuck out NOW!!"

"Micheals NO! Don't do-"

*BANG*

Micheals lifeless body slumps to the floor, blood gushing from his temple. He had lunged And snatched the pistol from the nearby Zhang, splattering the walls with his brain.

"Oh god man OH FUCKING GOD WE GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE"

Several of the team break and run, desperately fleeing toward the elevator. Their teammates attempt to catch up, drawing the tight formation into a long scattered line.

Perfect.

Your warriors fall upon the android guards nearest the elevator, the androids simply unable to react fast enough and promptly disemboweled by slashing claws, milky white fluid splattering the walls and running in thick streams along the floor.

The first members of the team round the final corner, starting in shock at the sight of their guards being mauled to pieces. Before they can even lift their rifles they are swatted aside by the heavy warriors, bones audibly splintering as they impact the walls.

All along the scattered formation your warriors and drones attack, a Android or human that strays from the other is pierced through and left twitching or dragged screaming into the dark.

Dutch wades into the clump, shrugging off fire as he lays about with his claws and tail, his massive strength cleaving heads and crushing bone.

After several minutes the screaming finally stops. The last bullet casings clatter to the floor among puddles of blood and android fluid. Your hivemates secure the new captives and lick their wounds, growling happily at this great victory

Do these hive-wide perks require food, some other research, or can we apply them whenever you give us the option to apply a mutation?

You do have food what with the rotting corpses you have hanging around. Enough to easily upgrade your warriors and a drone to builder to begin upgrading the actual hive.

Hoplite Xeno'll look something like this, using regular warriors.
>>
So the consensus is to mutate 4 Warriors into Guardian Warriors. They will be larger than average, slow moving with a one forearm covered in a large, thick chitin shield and the claws of the other arm extended into long, slashing claws. Their tailblade will be narrowed into a piercing point with no edge.

Yes?

You also have enough food to mutate a Drone into a Builder to begin improved Hive Upgrades

>95+6. Amazing success. Attack next deck. Claim hive space.
>4 Guardian Warriors created. 1 Builder created.

A group of your warriors rip their way free from cocoons of Resin and flesh, stretching their newly shaped limbs as fluid and scraps of tissue fall away. They are hulking beasts, nearly as tall as your heavy warriors. Their head is wide and short, a dome of carapce protecting their heads and necks like a helmet. Their chests and legs are thick and heavy, coated in layers of overlapping chitin as hard as iron. One entire foreclaw has been shaped into a massive shield of chitin, the glossy black surface sloping away into rough edges nearly four feet across. Their other claw consists of thick fingers extending into long, razor sharp claws stretching twice their original length. Their tail curls over their shoulders, long and thin it ends in a needle sharp point of hardened chitin perfectly shaped to punch through the enemies of the Hive.

Nearby a drone pulls itself from a similar cocoon, stretching its limbs and chittering in displeasure at all the work that hasn't been done yet. It is bulky, stronger than an average drone with a small pair of secondary arms extending from its torso. These are small, with delicate fingers well suited for intricate work. It immediately commandeers a group of drones and sets off to extend the hives holdings.
>Builder gained. HIVE upgrades are now possible. Upgrades to Hive structures and even Biomechanical structures/weapons can now be created.

Your warriors and drones begin massing at the freight elevator, chittering for the fresh battles to come from above.

>Tactics time. No rolls required for first hit.

>Full assault from the freight elevator. They are unprepared and you can cut them off from the armory and shuttle bay if you move fast.

>Enter the ducts. Attack from everywhere as you force them open while your heavies attack from the elevator.

>Sweep and clear. Move as a unit, clear each room one at a time. May lose potential hosts as they flee.

Here are some class mutations. More hive perks and structures up next.

>Ravagermorph
Derived from: Standard praetorian
The ravager class of Xenomorph is an unrivaled engine of slaughter, completely forsaking the functionality of it’s normal hands, it’s forearms develop into massive scythe like monomolecular chitin blades capable of cutting through starship hull metal, heavy vehicle armor, all grades of body armor, and flesh with equal ferocity.
+Does massive damage in close combat
+Incredible health
-Sacrifices armor of similar sized morphs for raw damage
-Ravagers cannot subdue targets, only slaughter them
-Ravagers are HUGE, cannot effectively into stealth

>Hammermorph
Derives from: Standard Praetorian
The Hammermorph is the tankiest tank that ever tanked, coated from clawed toes to dripping fangs in superheavy chitin plates, the Hammermorph’s oversized fists fuse together to form crushing bludgeons of bone and armor. While it cannot inflict the same kind of carnage as the Ravagermorph, it compensates with an incredible capacity for absorbing injury.
+Absorbs massive damage in close combat
+Incredible health
-Sacrifices raw damage of similar sized morphs for protection
-Hammers are HUGE, cannot effectively into stealth

Scissormorph
Derives from: Standard Warrior
The Scissormorph wields twin blades similar to those of a Ravager, but at a much smaller scale. Monomolecular chitin can cleave through human-sized body armor almost as easily as the flesh beneath it, but simply lacks the weight and force required to inflict that same damage on heavier or more robust armor.
+Straight upgrade to warriors, they inflict more damage in close combat with human sized targets

Castermorph
Derives from: Standard Drone
The Castermorph sacrifices the functionality of one arm to develop a novel organ which is capable of lobbing exceptionally caustic blobs of acid to long distance with pressurized gas. While not as caustic as Xenomorph blood, and thus incapable of hulling ships or stations, acid projectiles are more than capable of dissolving body armor and flesh with gruesome efficiency.
+Ranged combat
-weak in close combat with the use of only one arm

>Sweep and clear.

If the android guards remaining on the main deck had the initiative to guard the main elevator they would notice the massive claws emerging from the gaps in the door, muscles straining as the doors are bent inwards, easily forming a large gap. Inky black figures swarm through as the massive figures emerge. Several of them sporting massive shields of chitin move to the front of the group, overlapping their shields into a walking wall of black carapace.

The first Strongpoint is a reinforced mess hall, the occupants having formed crude barricades from the metal tables. Their android guards open fire as your warriors break the door down, advancing inside as the humans scramble behind cover. The first of your guardians reaches the synthetics and smashes one against the wall with its shield, tail whipping out to pierce another that attempts to fire at its back. Your heavy warriors burst through the formation, smashing aside the barricades and crushing several humans and androids under the hastily welded tables. massive claws sweep down, slashing and crushing synthetic and natural bone with ease.

You leap onto the ceiling, using your momentum to carry you into the back of the androids formation, one of your shadows plucked from the wall by a hail of bullets, its squeal of pain accompanying your own howl of rage as you drive your claws into a androids eyes, ripping its face apart before leaping to the next.

Behind you comes Bruce, impaling a android on one claw and using it as a shield to advance upon the nearest group. His large claws and heavy tailblade shear through their bodies, leaving them to topple to the floor in pieces. The bullet riddled android is flung into the wall with such force it hangs in the dent, fluid dripping down the wall.

Only when the last of the synthetic guardians lies bisected on the floor do you calm, chittering in glee as the remaining human captives are bundled in resin and pile near the elevator.

>2 Drones mildly wounded.

>Aggressive terraforming
What you call home is a far cry from the soft and friendly climates of weaker creatures, your hive and hive nodes pump out heat, spores, and caustic vapors. You couldn’t be happier but other lifeforms will be hard pressed to remain alive in such a vicious environment.
+Enemies who enter your hive or hang around your hive nodes suffer from reduced health
+You are warm and cozy

Here's my AOE class. Hive structures ACTUALLY on the way now.

>Sporemorph
Derives from: Standard Drone
Sporemorphs completely retool their biology, shedding their armor to grow bulbous sacs which exhale clouds of caustic vapor that burn the eyes and lungs, weakening enemies in it’s vicinity. The sporemorph’s body is compromised by these new organs and as such it cannot excel in combat like it’s brothers. The sporemorphs chemical factories can be heavily modified to cause varied effects.
+AOE debuff reduces health of all enemies in the sporemorphs vicinity (1 deck/level of a spaceship or station, whatever the area of combat is if the sporemorph is included in an attack party)
-Poor health
-Poor damage

>6 Drones. Release 1 to spread Psychological horror.
>Molt 5 to Create CasterMorphs
>Builder gets a shotgun to tinker with.
>Builder builds Hive node.

Your Builder climbs up the elevator shaft, its drone attendants following it positively laden with squirming Facehuggers. They immeidately latch onto the human captives, forcing their embryos into the hosts. While the humans are implanted your Builder ingest a large amount of fresh meat and offal, a large organ on its chest swelling before it kneels next to the elevator opening and disgorges a pulsing mass of resin. The gluey orb latches onto the wall, spreading thick black tendrils along the wall as the self sufficient mass of neural tissue and resin links to the hive mind.

A drone offers up one of the bulky, squarish shotguns wielded by the androids. The builder snatches it from the drones hand and retreats into the hive proper, eager to inspect this new treasure.

One of the freshly implanted humans is dragged to the edge of the nearest Strongpoint territory, his restraints cut free and the Facehuggers pried from his head. In a few hours his precious cargo will emerge

The cocoons of resin and flesh are torn open as your new CasterMorphs enter the world. They are sturdy, squat creatures, similar to a drone but more muscular. One entire forelimb is reshaped into a tube like organ, pressurized sacs along its length filling with viscous acid and pressurized air. They growl happily as they test the new organs, the globs of acid burning shallow holes into the metal walls. Your Hive will continue to adapt and thrive

Your drones set to work on securing the nearby rooms, smearing resin on literally everything and prying open doors to reveal rooms that have been previously used to house humans hiding from the encroaching menace.

Several contain corpses of those who had chosen to escape in their own way or had succumbed to the decreasing air quality and rising heat of this deck.

As your drones advance through the hallways a whirring sound is heard in the darkness ahead of them. Bright red beams if light leap from the darkness and settle on their carapaces. Curiously they scratch at the beams of light shortly before the source is illuminated by muzzle flash, the drones thrown back he the impact of the high caliber bullets.

The incineratormorph sacrifices the functionality of one arm to develop a novel organ which consists of a large reservoir of highly caustic accelerant and a reservoir of highly pressurized gas. When ejected from this modified limb, the accelerant reacts with oxygen and ignites at a temperature of 1350 degrees C. This metal warping, lung incinerating, caustic napalm burns with a sickly green light and is superb at causing entrenched enemies to crumple under the blistering heat and clouds of acidic vapor.

Here's hive structures, part one.

>Thermobaric spore mine
A modified hive node, the spore mine exhales a thick cloud of highly reactive chemicals, acid, and metallic powder, igniting this already lethal mixture with a bioelectric spark and producing a conflagration hot enough to fracture metal and carbonize flesh.
+Damages enemies
-Damages friendlies, stand clear

>Caustic spore projector
A modified hive node, the spore projector develops a specialized organ which stores and spits half-strength xenomorph blood. While this powerful corrosive cannot usually outright kill humans, it can severely wound or incapacitate them if they aren’t wearing specialized protective garments.
+Damages enemies

>Structural valves
The hive structure develops natural irising valves around intersections and at the hive’s entrance. These organic doors can be opened or closed at will to impede the progress of invading enemies and slow their progress into a hive.
+Improved hive defense, enemies must destroy doorways before they can continue into the hive.

>69+6. Attack Armory.
>2 AcidCasters mutated into Incinerators

A pair of your newly made AcidCasters tear into piles of bleeding human limbs, stuffing their bellies to fuel the necessary caloric process to change their bodies once more.

>Hours later.

The armory is under assault. Android Security stand at their posts, assault rifles perched atop metal barricades, muzzle flash illuminating the oncoming force as the Autocannons thunder. Your Guardians march forward, the Heavy Autocannons high caliber chewing into the thick chitin of their shields, globs of acid arcing over their defenses, splashing down among the android defenders. Several reel backwards, pawing at the viscous liquid as it melts away their faces, flopping to the floor as their heads dissolve.

One of your Guardians stumbles as a shotgun slug punches into its knee, splitting the carapace and spurting thick green caustic blood onto the floor. The limping Guardian resumes the relentless march into the hail of gunfire, leaving a trail of cratered metal behind it.

Finally the formation closes on the barricades and tiny gaps appear in the shield wall, a pair of circular limbs extending from the slots. Before the androids can switch targets the Incinerators release their destructive payload. Vibrant green flames coat every surface ahead of the formation, metal warping and cracking in the intense heat as the Androids simply fade away into piles of slag and carbon. The Autocannons explode as their rounds cook off, showering the remaining defenders in shrapnel and ricocheting bullets.

The Main defenses breached, your Troops begin pouring around the Guardians, smashing down the flailing Androids and attempting to Pry open the locked door.

Your Incinerators growl happily, chattering to one another as they begin bathing the Armory door in emerald flames, the metal warping and glowing under the intense heat, fissures appearing as large flakes of metal fall away or are atomized by the flames.

They step away, burbling proudly as the thick metal of the door ticks and pops, mechanisms within melted into slag. One of your Heavy warriors steps forward, swinging a heavy limb forward and shattering the red hot metal into a burst of scorching shrapnel. As the metal ricochets around the room there are hisses and pops as they connect with androids, the metal sinking into their flesh and boiling away the tissue. Screams of pain signal the presence of humans within, the scent of burnt flesh evident they did not expect the sudden destruction of the door.

Your Heavy warriors step into the armory, thick bodies simply absorbing the bullets fired at them, calmly observing before springing into action. Androids are splattered against the walls, synthetic bones shattering into countless pieces. Massive claws sweep downward, splitting body armor asunder and crushing unfortunates into the floor.

Your warriors leap in, crawling along the walls, slashing with claws and tail, rending open those that oppose them. Androids and humans alike are cut down, left bleeding and twitching on the floor as their lifeblood is sprayed across the floor.

Your Guardians smash aside the remaining opposition, shields crushing bone, tails piercing enemies and nailing them to the floor or walls. Foot long claws bisect entire bodies, leaving the victims to fall to the floor in pieces.

We do have someone researching the tech behind the shotgun. Perhaps when we upgrade the hive defences we can create some sort of biomechanical turret.
This could even be used as a tool for aggressive expansion. Instead of clearing each room one by one, we could just make a beeline straight down the middle and set up turrets to keep the resistance at bay (thinking like a Xenomorph version of blitzkrieg).

Can we upgrade the Predalien in anyway?
>>
I'd like to know this >>1496357 as well, will the Predalien just be upgraded like a Standard warrior or should it have it's own specialized upgrades? If so I'll write some up right away.
>>
>>1496377
The Predalien will have custom mutations due to its unique class
>>
>>1496357
Yes you can. Whats your mutation idea?

>Custom Mutations
Oh QM, you know just the right things to say to me.

I try :)

I was hoping Spooky would have some... I'd be happy with retractable wrist blades and a general stats boost.

On the way!
>>
>Hunter’s Instinct
Applies to: Predalien
The desire to stalk and kill prey runs deep in the veins of both your species, your expertise in tracking the prey, striking from the shadows, and making the kill are fully expressed with this mutation.
+2 to Stealth rolls
+2 to Ambush rolls

>Proto Queen (Multi-stage mutation)
Applies to: Predalien
The Predalien casts off imperfect genes and becomes a latent queen, it loses it’s inner mouth and in exchange it can implant human hosts to grow the hive. You’ve taken your first steps on the path to a new and unfamiliar path!
+Can create new Xenomorphs
-Xenomorphs created by Proto-Queens can only be warriors
+Improved damage resilience
-Reduced damage in close combat

>Pred-Queen
Applies to: Proto-Queen
You are a new entity within the hive, your DNA the perfect fusion of two supreme killing machines. If something could possibly surpass the perfect organism, it would be you! Molt and become a Predalien Queen, extraordinarily strong and resilient, a truly superior killer!
+Great damage resistance
+Great damage in combat
-20% lower reproduction rate
-HUGE, cannot into stealth
-There can be only one! To assert your dominance you must slay your mother and take her place!

>Close Combat Specialist
Applies to: Predalien
A derivation of the Scissormorph mutation, the Predalien develops a pair of extra limbs, each one ending in a wickedly sharp monomolecular chitin blade. The Predalien’s ribs and flexible but tough carapace thicken and fuse into a barrel like case of dense overlapping chitin plates nearly impossible to pierce with small arms fire, offering extreme protection for it’s vital organs. This combination of physical alterations allows the Predalien to drag enemies close and cut them to ribbons without any fear for it’s own safety.
-2 to stealth
+Increased damage in close combat
+Increased health
+Increased damage resistance

>Caustic Exhalation
The Predalien sacrifices it’s inner jaw to develop a specialist organ which allows it to regurgitate a spray of it’s own acidic blood, blinding, burning, and weakening them before it closes in to crush them with overwhelming physical aggression.
+Short range projectile attack

Predalien exclusive mutations.

I say we chase the Hive Node mutation like it owes us hosts. Too damn useful by half.

>46. Research Shotgun. Slim Failure.

Your builder crouches over the strange, blocky human weapon that the hive had claimed in battle. So far its attempts to divine the secrets of the weapon have been fruitless. It has remained stoic and silent, refusing to roar with flame and death for the Builder.

In aggravation the builder grabs the shotgun by its barrel, shaking it back and forth. Suddenly the grip along the bottom of the tubular portion slides back and forth, ejecting a bright red cylinder with a loud KA-CHINK. curiously the Builder inspects the weapon, turning it over in his claws and twisting it this way and that. Suddenly one of its claws sticks into a loop of metal near the bottom of the weapon where a small spur of metal resides. Unknowingly your builders claws pulls back the spur.

BOOM!
>1 Drone Moderately wounded

A nearby drone squeals and flops over, pawing desperately at the spurting gouge torn from its flank. The deafened Builder squeals in shock and flings the human weapon away. It speaks!

>42. Research shotgun again.

Your builder approaches the smoking shotgun as the wounded Drone is carried away to recover. This human weapon is so... Angry! So loud! Surely there must be some way to inspect it without incurring its wrath

The human weapon is gingerly picked back up and placed on a small outcropping of resin. A delicate claw pokes and prods, scraping small furrows in the synthetic grip and stock. Small inscriptions stand out along its side, a small collection of notches along its barrel.

The weapon fails to cooperate however. Remaining silent about its secrets despite the insistent Builders advances.

>Shotgun Research is progressing slowly.
