Summary: In this quest, we're basically playing as a slowly mutating soviet named Stojan insert Russian last name here who secretly supports the monarchy and hates the communists. We've managed to escape the Russians, and now we're in 1939 Nazi-occupied Warsaw. We've also got a new character called Douglas Bison who is a Sean Connery agent, but less smart, a bit more lustful, and also much more aggressive. He already has a nerdy girlfriend too! Oh, and he got shot... And is of course, more buff.

Anyways, last time anons decided as Stojan to raid the penal soviet regiment and take care of their commanding officers.

You have about ten guerrilas. They are all armed with bolt action rifles, and have poor training.

What should anons do?

>Try to snipe the officer. (Low chance of success. Low chance of you being caught or losing someone.)
>Try to sneak into camp and kill the officer. (Moderate chance of success. Moderate chance of being caught or losing someone.)
>Try to infiltrate the camp and kill the officer or lead a mutiny. (High chance of succcess, but high chance of being caught or losing someone.)
>Try to get a inside man... (Increases chances of success!)
>Ambush them while they're on the move?

You decide to try and sneak into the camp and kill the officer.

Do you want to send one of your guerrilas, or yourself?

>Go personally!
>Send a guerrilla!

Guerrilas

Wulf Hacke (Moderate Education. Is trained in machineguns, bolt-action rifles, and sniper rifles along with pistols. Is a veteran of the First World War, and was an officer. Is trained also in leadership. Ex-Prussian Junker. Monarchist.)
Jannik Ganser(Low Education, trained with Bolt Action Rifles. Good at stealth. Is a huntsman. Male.)
Gerwald Arnoldi (Moderate Education. Trained with Pistols. Male. Was a police officer.)

You decide to go personally.

It isn't long until you find the penal regiment making camp on the side of the road, and you of course need to find a way to get in there...

Roll me a 1d20 to see if Stojan can come up with any creative ways to get inside.

+2 for ideas.

>>
Critical Success!

You of course, resort to the best tactical available.

You grab a cardboard box, and sneak into the camp, completely unnoticed. You also find yourself rather close to the officer camp... Now you just need to find a way to kill all the officers...

You note that in the nearby river, one of the NVKD commissars seems to be bathing himself, and has left his uniform...

What do anons?

>Try to set fire to the camp?
>Try to sneak into each one of the officer tents... (There's five tents!)
>Try to disguise yourself as a political commissar... Maybe you can convince the men to take up arms against the other officers? Or at least get a cool hat.

You of course, decide to close to hand to hand...

Roll me a 1d20+4 to see how well the rest of this goes.
+3 if Stojan can go beserk somehow while in the tent.
+2 if you can of course, try to make him feel like using his claws and teeth is completely natural and fine.

You go absolutely beserk and massacre the tent. A lot of blood is stained on the tent canvas, and you breath heavily... You erm... You seem to be completely covered in blood, bile, and entrails.

Everyone else has been completely and utterly massacred.

Actions

>...Resolve to try to never go beserk again? (Gain sanity permanently, and you'll never use your claws or fangs in melee.)

>>
You decide this is surprisingly fun...

You go into the next tent, a tent with about two officers smoking...

Roll me a 1d20+4 to massacre.

Actions

...After a few days, you hear that the remaining officer has been promoted to Colonel, and placed in command of the penal regiment, and you've heard quite a bit...

Colonel Isaak seems to be his name. Apparently a veteran of the First World War, and a highly decorated officer, having the medal of the Red Banner, the Order of the Red Star, Order of Alexander Nevsky, along with Order of Suvorov, 2nd class... And Order of Glory
1st class. He's a very, very, skilled leader, it seems.
A few of his deeds have been charging a machinegun position armed with only a knife, winning via playing dead, evading a Polish cavalry ambush and being the only survivor, and managing to sneak up on a Polish tank and take it hostage... Using it to blow up another tank. He's rumored to have been descended from the Cossacks as well, and was a member of the Russian Imperial Cavalry...

He seems to be a daredevil, overly brave, but also quite resourceful...

Shit.

Colonel Isaak also seems determined to root out any dissidents and has now requisitioned a private guard after his near-death experience...

Double shit.

The Penal Regiment is loyal towards him, if only because he's actually competent.

Holy fuck.

Critical Success.

You find out everything.

He seems to have a penchant for drinking booze and womanizing at a bar on the border.
He's also extremely skilled with a knife and saber, and apparently has been given an officer's sabre for his new promotion.

He has an uncanny talent for getting out of the way of bullets, and is extraordinarily lucky.

He seems to have just joined the Communists just for a chance to strike back at the Tsardom, and seems his family really are Cossacks. He's not completely in love with Stalin either, or Communism, but certainly doesn't like Monarchism.

He's has a penchant for expensive art, and goes out of his way to look for it, and seems to be a huge fan of Matthias Grünewald's paintings, and Hans Holbein the Younger's paintings... However, he does have an embarrassing secret... He can't read or write, and tries his best to avoid either of those activities.

Alongside that, he's also a very big fan of horses, owning three and preferring to ride them rather then drive in a car or jeep. He rides a Russian Don as his horse of choice, and even is rumored to sleep next to it!

Actions

You are now Douglas...

Recently, due to some injuries, you've been lying low in an abandoned cabin... Dominika's been taking rather good care of you, and she's patched up your leg.

Though you've been forced to sleep in the barn, since apparently sleeping on a wooden bed tends to... Well, it deforms it, and slightly... Crushes it.

Yeah, you weigh a lot. It's not good to say, but you are a bit afraid to check your weight.

Oh, and you've been slightly freaking out over the fact you lost your feet and are now replaced with hooves... Yeah, that's interesting.

Oh, also your body's a bit... Different. That's unique.

You decide to get her a bouquet of hand-picked Russian flowers.

Roll me a 1d20+2 to see how much she'll love this...

+3 if you can combine it with something else romantic!
+2 if you can think about how to present it with a romantic gesture..
+1 if you can give her a sweet compliment... Like how she's attractive... For a nerd.

If everything's done, it'll be an autosuccess.

morning, nice nat 20.

+3 and plus +2

Line the way from our end of the bed to the door with flower petals, they will lead outside to the basket. then we will knock on the door and sneak back inside. when she get to the flours, ambush her with a surprise hug from behind.

+1 tell her how touched we are that she went through all that for us, don't forget to sniff her hair while paying it's complement, chicks like that right?

Just woke up anons.

You celebrate the new use of your legs by getting the best-smelling flowers... Its pretty peaceful, actually. You decide to make the largest bouquet you can, and after collecting exactly one-hundred flowers, you get to work.

Of course, you head back to the cabin and line the way from her bed to outside with flower pedals, which lead to the basket... You also make sure to unlock a window allowing for you to get back inside and ambush her with a hug,,,

However, you also decide to add a little extra to the mix. You also somehow managed to get the German Shepard inside the basket, meaning that once she picks it up the dog will reveal itself, and of course, you've also made a rather American meal for her out of the steak you had remaining...

It's nearly eight in the afternoon when you put your plan into action. The cabin itself lacks electricity, making it hard to see... However, once Dominika notices, she follows it like you planned...

You sneak behind her through a window and wait... She picks up the flowers, and of course the German Shepard barks, scaring her a bit... Scaring her right into your arms, which gives her an extremely large hug.

Oh, and the dog of course also licked her nose rather than bite it off. It seems to be quite sweet.

"Hey... I erm... I just wanted to tell you that I was really touched by how much you went through for me... I um... Hey? I think your hair smells nice."

"Yeah... I erm, I washed it this morning."

"That's good,"

This plays off awkwardly, but with genuine sweetness...

"...So erm... I was wondering... Do you think if I grabbed the Vet and tied him to a tree, do you think he'd be willing to work for free?"

"Douglas... Come on."

You feel quite calmed by her.

"Yeah, yeah... I was just joking, ok? I wouldn't actually punch him just for looking like a communist..."

Actually, you totally would of, in all honesty.

Actions

>...You know, this is... Really nice. She just makes you feel so calm... (Being around Dominika makes Douglas less aggressive.)
>...Dominika may be really nice, but if anything you should try to make sure nothing happens to her... (Douglas becomes very "protectionist" to Dominika.)
>...This is nice and all, but Dominika's just a sweet girl... You however, aren't, and don't plan to be. (Douglas will remain very aggressive around Dominika, but won't be aggressive towards her.)
>>

>...You know, this is... Really nice. She just makes you feel so calm... (Being around Dominika makes Douglas less aggressive.)
>>
You just think this is really nice... You hold her tightly for a bit.

You think she absolutely loved the flowers and presentation... Judging from how hard she's hugging you.

Actions

>So... I kind of also made dinner for you. A steak.
>...You know... Maybe you should ask if the two of you want to actually become a couple. Boyfriend and girlfriend... That sort of thing...

She goes to chow down, and you feel different again. Strange.

You feel your heart absolutely POUNDING! Yeah!

You feel quite energetic and less slow now, and your body is making more blood for a man like you!

Of course, you pat her on the back.

"So Douglas?"

"What?"

"...Why exactly do you Americans like steak so much? Also, how exactly hasn't this gone bad?"

"Oh, you know... I have ways. Family secret, really..."

You personally just add a shitload of salt and a lot of other shit.

"So you Americans eat a lot of this? It is really quite good."

"I am saying that!"

"Yeah... So... What's the plan exactly?"

"Plan?"

"I mean, I don't exactly know what to do now, since your up again... And if there was a plan briefing I think I missed it."

"I suppose you can say that."

"Not complaining doc... But honestly this is really cool. Muscle, horns... Reminds me of my family's cows back home! Well, certainly more attractive though."

"You were born on a farm?"

"Ranch, technically... Dad was off the boat and was a Scottish Catholic... Mom was also off the boat and was a German Evangelical... Dad met mom at Ellis Island, you know how it is. They got married after two years in New York... He was just a factory worker wanting a farm to himself... Mom wanted to get to a land of opportunity and didn't want part in any war..."

"You know a lot about your family."

"Well, I mean, I'm named after my dad, you know. Douglas... Anyways, what about you?"

"I erm... My father was a professor at Moscow... He taught at one of the universities, a very big fan of history and mathematics and genetics... He kind of got me hooked."

"So being a nerd runs in the family?"

"I guess you can say that. He died during the revolution... My mom tried to raise me. I got to go to college... I graduated top of my class... I erm... I live with my mom."

"Really? A top-of-the-line geneticist living with her parent?"

"...I'm not going to leave her out in the cold after what she's gone through for me. I hope she's alright..." She seems quite worried.

Dominika smuggles quite a bit of food thanks to her security credentials, and eventually comes back home with a nice 150$. It was rather easy...

She buys enough stuff to work in as much safety as she can...

Douglas has to get restrained and Dominika uses a syringe to test a blood sample from him... He's very agitated.

Roll me a 1d20+3 anons.

You get back to Warsaw quite injured, dirty, and not really looking the best.

You of course head back to the bed and breakfast place you've been staying at to get some sleep. At seeing your rather poor condition, your proprietor tells you to take a bath and offers to wrap you up in bandages. However, once he finds out you can't exactly walk right now, he helps you to the bedroom...

"Jesus, you weigh like a brick..."

"...Yeah... Sorry."

"...It is fine... Just surprising."

He takes you back, and looks you over...

Ignore my roll.

"...Is there something wrong with your skin?"

"I erm, a little, I suppose."

"You should see a priest and a doctor about that, then. You are... Hm. You sort of remind me of those old tales of werewolves."

He seems very suspicious of you, given the lighting, and seems to be noticing the fangs and ears...

"...I can scarcely tell the difference, in fact... Do you have some strange condition I don't know about?"
