The Ezirin region has be lacking in both defences and infrastructure I suggest we remedy both as show in this proposal. I would also like to but forward that the lords of the area all pay of half the expenses on anything built on their land. This improvements are made to safeguard the region against any Caliphate aggression and increase the quality of life in the region.

Lady Zhang Jie, famed for coming in 2nd at the Great Tournament at Lakton, has decided to put her hard won 5 million marks to good use.

One million marks is invested in founding the Councilor Foundation, a charitable organization that will provide homes for orphans, assistance for widows, fund schools for the poorest and deliver aid and medicine in times of disaster. The mascot for the organization shall be the Erdini lion named Mr Dini that she won at the tournament, it will also provide the basis for its logo.

The first donation is made by lady Zhang Jie herself. 1 million marks to be invested into buying carriage boards from Lectre Incorporated for troubled Trusted youths! 40'000 of them!
The kind gentleman Lucien Lectre forfeiting shipping costs in return for some friendly assistance with advertising Lectre products accross the realm and an exclusive deal for Trusted Paper.

Furthermore, 1 million is earmarked the spreading of the teachings of the Ancient Sages. Easy to read tracts are to be printed en masse and handed out freely to the common folk all over the realm. Furthermore schools all over Roggar will be gifted with classical books like The Quotations of Sharan and The Doctrine of Compassion. Benevolence and virtue are values to be promoted and cultivated in the population in troubled times such as these.

Her ladyship, a strong believer in the importance of friendship, gave her companion the Black Knight 1 million marks for her assistance and support.
She was last seen in Paitras, attending a hunt together with Sabreux Stelran, the Duke of Dorseel.

The last million was saved for the Zhang household itself, to be invested in renovating the estate, increasing their landed assets and salaries for the household guards.

In the end it was concluded that Lady Zhang Jie would pay back one million marks to Ludolf of Erden and she would get to keep the rest considering her achievements in the Grand Tournament.

Aside from the diplomatic initiative being farely successful - coinciding with a year that, according to Zhongi fortune-tellers, would be good for marriages - private mining initiatives in conjunction with the landowners, using the latest in mechanical technology, have opened numerous new mines - northwest of Lakton, the Coalenchasm is being exploited as coal is mined and transported up to the plains with complex machinery; near Stoman's Gate prospectors have found iron deposits;
This will bode well for the economy, as resources was the one sector in which there were concern, as old mines were starting to run dry.
Furthermore, Empress Wave's initiative to create a unified Imperial Mark seems to be going well - coins are being minted and we hope that gradually we will successfully phase out the old currencies, the Imperial Steward, Barlin Kragnan has stated in an appearance before nobles in the Imperial Capital.

Advances in metallurgy allow us a wider range of methods through which we can refine ores into metals - both mundane and magical. Bloomeries, blast furnaces, osmond process and finery forges - iron in particular is a metal that can be worked in many ways - you can make wrought iron, pig iron, steel, cast iron; Larger forges can create bigger slabs of metal, metals are more malleable - all things that, in particular, golem construction would benefit from.
Glassmaking has also seen advancement as artisans have refined the processes by which they can create various glass products - windows that can be either clear or decorated, a new kind of mirror that uses lead glass;
The coast of Vaes has seen amber become a prized product that is produced and glassmakers in Vaesgyolis developed "Vaesian glass" - Hand-cut, engraved, blown and painted decorative glassware.
Indeed, the glassware industry is one of the most promising ones in the cities and towns along Roggar's coast - the beautiful products that are the result are becoming popular among nobility and the middle class. Truly, a glorious time in Roggar.

A few days after New Year's Eve, when the celebrations for the beginning of a new century were over, a peculiar incident occured.
On the 8th of Divana, year 800, across the world Pantheonic believers could not hear their Gods. In prayer they could not recover mana, in communion they could not seek their wisdom.
On the next day, things were normal once more. News comes that on 8.1.800, Queen Nedala Velaris of the High Elf Dominion passed away. Priests explain that, after speaking to the Gods once more, they were told it was a "Great Day of Mourning". At present a Regent Council rules the Dominion, as Terruil and Nedala did not sire heirs.

The golemmancers and smiths of Gobbopolis have been working hard for the last 10 years producing the next level of golem which the new improved “gobpit” has created. By using illusion magic to project the outside world taken in from the golems “eyes” and secondary eye devices it allows the pilot to stay safe and have knowledge of their surroundings. With this problem out of the way the Golemmancers went to work building a new “Knight-Mare” model that named thusly as they hope to would replace both the Knight and horse in the coming years.

The first of the Knight-Mare V0.1 would roll out as thick bulky hunched over golems giving the pilot maximum protection though it does make them very heavy. However this problem would be offset by their movement not being governed by health or stamina but the amount of mana loaded into their cores before deployment. These nigh invulnerable iron juggernauts would surely break the strongest of lines with strength greater then several men and horses.

BootyBay: 5 houses in it
Magic: Golemanced Brooms

Faction Action 1 - Year 790. Finding success with the brooms that move themselves, the Goblins now want to experiment with Wheelbarrows that move themselves, or failing that, through the use of magic to aid goblins by making heavy loads light.

In such a way goblins and labor golems can focus on digging and pickaxing, while the wheelbarrows move dirt and rock out of the way and ores onto storage.

Faction Action 2 - Year 800. Lord Swift, having secured rights to Gresklum, the goblins of Booty Bay immediately load up on ships from their ally, Thornebush, to sail for Gresklum and proceed with mining operations there.

After decades of trial and error, intense theoretical debates and practical experiments - many of whom led to tragic casualties, sacrifices in the name of magical science - by Charodei's grace, the Wizards of Eternia, led by Talis Swiftwood, have surpassed their previous limits and reached the Seventh Circle of Spatial magic. It allows them to use communications to any point on our world, to use powerful mass-teleport spells and to levitate entire structures, potentially!

Thankfully, no earthquakes befell you - you have reached level 4 Earth magic. Something that priests of some Pantheonic gods have had for many years, but hey, let's be edgy rebels.
The issue with making ships of metal is the fact that ships go into water and water means rust. That is why a ship can not be entirely covered in metal - it will sink, not just rust, in fact. However, you have implemented partial use of metal in hull construction - lead at the bottom, to protect against the corrosion of wood, bronze and iron in some places up top - for instance at a metal ram-head, armoured palisades at the deck or on top of the masts. Given care, these defences will serve the ships they are put on well.

In a stroke of genius the golemancers decided - why make the golems only able to enter stealth-mode at night? Why not at day as well? And so, using combinations of illusion and light magic, your first line of Stealth Golems are able to cloak themselves in just about any environment and are armed well enough to be able to fight various foes - all while still featuring a protected gobpit.
You begin setting up a spy network in the Caliphate.

"Uproar between the nobility indeed! After all you defeated all of them did you not? Even the king of the Norsemen fell before your lance! The only one to stand up to you was a one of those cold blooded Caliphate fellows! And then they dare to sulk and act like their defeats at your hands were invalid! You did not even use a fake name for Juras' sake!"

"Uncle, please. There are rules for tournaments and on paper..."

"It's the GOBLINS I say! The eternal goblins! With their beady little eyes!"

"UNCLE! You can't speak like that!"

"It's true is it not!? They MURDERED Councilor Fish and ATE him! They tried to stab us in the back over money! And they were the ones pushing dragging your name through the dirt when this could have been settled quietly between us and Lakton! They're out to get us!"

"Uncle, the goblins are our greatest allies. Do you even know what year this is? You swore a blood oath remember."

"That's it! They want our blood!"

"Hush now uncle, you need to go to bed and have yourself something warm to drink. You're obviously tired."

"I don't have to go to bed! I am the law! I make the rules!"

"Yes uncle, whatever you say."

Faction Project:
Build school in Flamkor

The people of Flamkor shall be given access to the prime instrument of bettering their lot in life, education. An institute of learning shall be constructed in the settlement by Mount Flamkor. It shall be a beacon of civilization and a shining example of the doctrine of the Ancient Sages.
It will follow the same model of virtuous and benevolent teaching that was established in Foothold at the founding of the Councilors. A school were educated men give lectures and attendance is free for all. Nobody shall be refused entry and books, scrolls and other implements of learning shall be sold on a (almost) non-profit basis.
Furthermore, those displaying a talent for learning and an earnest desire to follow the way of virtue shall be offered to come to Roggar and have the long and demanding training of a Councilor.

Council project:
The Norsemen are our beloved allies, we should seek closer cooperation with them on all fronts.
The Tower of Law shall do their part. Offering to share our ressources, information, scholars and offering to provide training for their judges in Roggar. Perhaps we could even create a unified court system between us.

It appears Carl Markov is an incompetent fool who only managed to win the Contest by sheer luck. Having no knowledge of military matters, the position of Imperial Marshal could be given to few men worse than him.
Aside from being absolutely incompetent in his duties, Carl Markov attempted to use his position to get the Imperial Army loyal to him personally, dismissing competent officers and appointing yes-men.
Those officers that were dismissed have asked that the Empress relieve King Markov of his position before the Imperial Army is entirely destroyed by his actions.

The House of Lords approved the expansion of the Royal Army of Roggar.
With news coming of King Markov's latest failures, while he was meeting with the Council in the House of Lords, he dismissed the Royal Physician, Royal Admiral and Royal Spymaster from their posts after a heated debate, with most on the council supporting the motion that the King should abdicate. The former Royal Physician then attacked the King, in which he was joined by the also former Admiral and the former Spymaster.
Grandmaster Friedman Alexanders of the Rangers managed to use his technique to get through the Kingsguard and mortally stab the King twice, before himself being taken down by the Kingsguard(of whom he had killed one).
Other than those three, no others died in that room on the 8th of Charodis, 801.
The Royal Admiral, Nothos Andarak and the Royal Physician, Grandholder Thesaurus, along with their men, were arrested on the charge of assissting in regicide, the punishment for which is death. The trial is scheduled to be held after the Contest which the Council has declared will be hosted starting the next day - 9.08.801
Contest time, you know the rules, same as last time.
To be a candidate, you have to state your name,age,race/culture,skills and what you promise to do as King/Queen at the very least.

The three contenders - Lothos Pallida, Belatucadros Dragonscarred and Wave Petros - are all within the margin for a Rog'gora. The law states that:

13.Those running for king must be naturally be born on Roggarian land, be a child of two Roggarian citizens, or have naturalized in a process that would take roughly 10 years. A King of a long-living race must have their rule limited to some extent. A close Contest(under 15 differance) is resolved with a Rog'Gorra.

It doesn't say the Rog'gora must be between two contenders - therefore, the priests of Juras have spoken - there shall be a Three-way Rog'gora!

The Rog'gora is scheduled for the 31st of Charodis. The rules are simple: You may bring and use whatever you want; Killing is allowed, but not recommended, as one of you will be ruling over the others and their factions later. You may yield, which means you forfeit the match and will be put under protection from further attacks. Attacking someone after they've clearly yielded disqualifies you.

Now, we await the players to introduce their characters and the equipment they'll fight in. After that, rolling will begin.

Wave's frost ray hits the right leg of Lothere , who tried to attack Belatucadros, but missed after the Dragoncommander dodged both his and Wave's attack. A kind of love triangle, so to speak.
>>
Rolled 46 (1d100)

>>1477277
Roll to the side, away from where he was just hit. Trying to avoid any hits until he can somewhat recover from that frost ray.
>>
Rolled 86 (1d100)

>>1477277
Attack Wave while Lothere is Frozen
>>
Rolled 67 (1d100)

>>1477277
Start fighting defensively with the staff again.
Use sand from the arena to blind them if needed.
>>
Lothere moves away slowly, as both his legs are in bad shape - he's trying to recover from the freezing, while his enemies fight each other.
The Dragoncommander gets in close to Wave - the two are exchanging blows, Wave managing to hit him once with a rather weak blow, while he manages several cuts, of which two draw some blood.

The crowd is now more entertained, as a proper three-way fight is underway, with constantly shifting combatants!
>>
Rolled 80 (1d100)

>>1477300
Lothere gets low to the ground and starts to use water magic to remove the frost on his one leg, and soothe the pain in the other while the other two combatants fight.
>>
Rolled 91 (1d100)

>>1477300
Use my staff.
Go for the nutshot.
>>
Rolled 56 (1d100)

>>1477300
Keep up the pressure on wave try to knock her staff from her hands
>>
Wave uses a Selaveni technique - a circular defense through which she knocks the spatha out of the Dragoncommander's hand with a leftward motion, then does a lever-like "pull" with the staff, its lower half hitting her opponent in the groin, causing him a lot of pain.
Meanwhile, Lothere is recovering from his wounds.
>>
Rolled 7 (1d100)

>>1477319
Sprint over to the other two combatants and start attacking wave.
>>
Rolled 6 (1d100)

>>1477319
"GRRRRR!"
separate her from that damn staff
>>
Rolled 60 (1d100)

>>1477319
Use a good sweeping motion to smack both of them as they come.
>>
Wave easily dodges the attempted attacks of her opponent and then does sweeps their legs - with Belatucadros' groin in pain and Lothere's two legs still wounded to some extent, they both fall down hard next to each other.
>>
Rolled 98 (1d100)

>>1477331
Roll away from the veteran and get up, putting pace between myself and the other two contestants.
>>
Rolled 52 (1d100)

>>1477331
Get back on my feet and recover for a few seconds before going after wave again.
>>
Rolled 70 (1d100)

>>1477334
Get back into defensive stance.
More sand in the eyes
>>
Lothere rolls away, picking up his claymore and stands at a safe distance, keeping up the healing on his legs as he observest the two others.
Belatucadros gets up and then charges at Wave, who's ready for him - with a motion of her legs, using the wind magic in her armor, a gust of sand flies into the Dragoncommander's eyes, followed by two staff strikes.
>>
>>1477343
BOOOO SHOW ME SOME BLOOD!
>>
Rolled 24 (1d100)

Looks toward Lothere
"Truce?"
If he accept going after wave if not still attacking wave by trying to find an opening in her staff defense
>>
Rolled 49 (1d100)

>>1477347
>>1477343
BOOOOOOO!!!
>>
Rolled 77 (1d100)

>>1477343
Keep up the offensive.
Wide sweeping moves to keep my protected while using my wind magic speed buff to overwhelm him
>>
Rolled 52 (1d100)

>>1477343
Move round to Wave and Swing at her, activate the enchantment if it hits.
>>
Belat and Lothere attack Wave, but she's fast enough to avoid their attacks, striking the Dragoncommander several times again - his vision is getting blurry, can he still keep it up?
>>
Rolled 2 (1d100)

>>1477363
Move around to the back of Wave, and try to tackle her down to the ground.
>>
Rolled 65 (1d100)

>>1477363
"I'm not giving up here."
Press the assault against wave strike fast enough to not give her time to retaliate.
>>
Rolled 7 (1d100)

>>1477363
Now that his focus is weak use bloodbending to control the dragoncommander and make him attack the duke
>>
Lothere trips on the fallen shield and lands nose-first on the ground.
Wave attempts to use bloodbending, but Belat is on her before she can cast her spell - she's pressed on the defensive, with several hits landing on her.
>>
Rolled 57 (1d100)

>>1477374
"This is quite fun. I must do another one of these roggora's after my reign."

Welp start defending and try to counter him so I can go into an offensive.
>>
Rolled 69 (1d100)

>>1477374
Get up on my knees and swipe at both of their legs.
>>
Rolled 24 (1d100)

>>1477374
Try and find an opening in her defenses to exploit
>>
Wave parries and counters a hit, hitting Belat in the head - then, Lothere's claymore sweeps in from below, cutting at Wave's feet, then moving on to Belat, who gets hit harder and loses his balance - with so much pain, he falls on the ground, barely able to move.
>>
Rolled 89 (1d100)

>>1477384
Leap up towards wave, claymore first, trying to finally activate that enchantment on her
>>
Rolled 58 (1d100)

>>1477384
Fall back and let wave and Lothere duke it out while I take a moment to recover
>>
Rolled 36 (1d100)

>>1477384
Dodge and counter the duke
>>
Lothere hits Wave with his claymore - first the water enchancement delivers a blunt force, after which the blade itself cuts into her left arm.
Meanwhile, Belat is holding onto conscioussness just barely, trying to catch his breath and keep the pain at bay.
>>
Rolled 79 (1d100)

>>1477396
Start going into an offensive against the duke.
I won't fall so close to the finish line
>>
Rolled 16 (1d100)

>>1477396
Try to disable her by activating that enchantment while the claymore is in her arm.
>>
Rolled 60 (1d100)

>>1477396
take a few more moments to rest then go back on the attack for which ever fighter leaves themselves open.
>>
Wave moves to the side, the sword leaving an open wound in her arm. She closes in on Lothere and hits him with several powerful blunt blows. Belat is now able to move. All three fighters are wounded. This could go to any one of them.
>>
Rolled 99 (1d100)

>>1477412
leap to the side and try to move behind Wave, leaving her other side open to the weakened veteran
>>
Rolled 50 (1d100)

>>1477412
Try to knock wave out of the fight while shes distracted by Lothere
>>
Rolled 46 (1d100)

>>1477412
Move back into the defensive stance and counter any aggressors.
>>
Lothere moves in a position from which he could hit either enemy - Belat lands a hit on Wave, who's trying to position herself, but is in the worse spot of the three.
>>
Rolled 18 (1d100)

>>1477425
Hit Belat with the blunt side of my blade, then reach out with the other arm and grab onto Wave
>>
Rolled 11 (1d100)

>>1477425
Try to push against the duke and avoid the DCs blows
>>
Rolled 11 (1d100)

>>1477425
Finishing blow try to knock out wave
>>
Lothere stumbles to the side, avoiding Wave's strike - he hits Belat with his pommel, which finnaly knocks the poor man out after so many blows to the head.
Now it's just Lothere and Wave left standing(shaking) on their two feet.
>>
Rolled 6 (1d100)

>>1477433
Time to go all out on Wave, use my superior strength to overwhelm her with fast sweeping attacks
>>
Rolled 19 (1d100)

>>1477433
That's it...
CHARGE Overwhelm the Duke with blows adding in quick water sprays to disoreint him
>>
Rolled 87 (1d100)

>>1477433
Try to get back up
"I...refuse to stay down."
>>
While Lothere and Wave both try to use the same fighting style against each other, only tiring themselves, Belat manages to open his eyes and get up! He can't feel his left arm and it's hard to breathe, but he has his spatha in his right arm and he can move his legs(mostly) - and that's what matters!
>>
Rolled 36 (1d100)

>>1477442
Sweep at Waves legs and jump to the side of her
>>
Rolled 31 (1d100)

>>1477442
Try to finish off the duke while evading the DCs blows
>>
>>1477442
catch my breath for a second or two then go attack the duke
>>
Rolled 71 (1d100)

>>1477445
>>
While Lothere manages a slight cut at Wave's leg, Belat comes in from the side and stabs him again in a gap in his armor on the left side, knocking the breath out of his lungs with the momentum of the strike! He's back in the fight!
>>
Rolled 60 (1d100)

>>1477453
Smack the Duke on with my staff.
Avoid DC Blows
>>
Rolled 61 (1d100)

>>1477453
Go for the knockout blow on Lothere.
>>
Rolled 57 (1d100)

>>1477453
Avoid Wave and retaliate in kind against the veteran
>>
With a blow coming from the right and another from the left, Lothere is hit twice, then again - he's breathless, down on his knees and in pain, barely clutching onto the claymore with his right hand.
>>
Rolled 79 (1d100)

>>1477465
Try to roll backwards, get back up and slash at either with the claymore
>>
Rolled 73 (1d100)

>>1477465
Move to try and attack wave from the side.
>>
>>1477471
Roll back with a frost Ray at either of them.
>>
Rolled 52 (1d100)

>>1477481
>>
Belat hits Wave, but Lothere hits Belat, while her frost ray slightly stings on Lothere's side. It's chaos on the arena sands!
>>
Rolled 22 (1d100)

>>1477485
Try and dodge Lotheres attacks then go after Wave.
>>
Rolled 85 (1d100)

>>1477485
"I. WON'T. LOSE."
Start hitting whoever with my staff
>>
Rolled 77 (1d100)

>>1477485
Move away from the veteran and go after Wave. trying to stab her left leg
>>
Belat falls back.
Lothere moves towards Wave, but she's faster than him and hits him several times, keeping him on the defensive.
>>
Rolled 10 (1d100)

>>1477495
Move around Wave so her back faces the veteran again, while exchanging blows with her,
>>
Rolled 61 (1d100)

>>1477495
Go for slashing attacks against wave
>>
Rolled 29 (1d100)

>>1477497
Go back and do more sweeping blows to keep people away and attack the duke.
>>
Wave is keeping Lothere between herself and Belat, but the latter manages to close in as well and they are now in a kind of triangle, each having a wounded left arm.
>>
Rolled 82 (1d100)

>>1477502
Keep pressing wave, moving away from the veteran, so one of us is behind her
>>
Rolled 89 (1d100)

>>1477502
Back up and throw a frost bolt at cent
>>
Rolled 31 (1d100)

>>1477502
attack wave from her left side try to overpower her defense
>>
A lucky frost bolt hits Belat in the face, the blow and pain managing to finally knock him out for good.
Lothere closes in on Wave and starts exchanging blows on her, having the initiative on his side - one of those two will win this Rog'gora now.
>>
Rolled 73 (1d100)

>>1477516
Activate the enchantment and keep trying to land a hit on her>>1477510
>>
Rolled 81 (1d100)

>>1477516
Dodge and try to land another frost Ray on his other arm.
>>
Wave dodges the blow, sparks of lightning flashing by, but barely missing her - with the wind keeping her faster, she extends a hand and for a second grasps onto Lothere's right arm, putting her freezing into it before she has to back away again. His one good arm is more sluggish now.
>>
Rolled 64 (1d100)

>>1477526
Drop the blade and try to grapple her to the ground, aiming for disabling punches on her limbs
>>
Rolled 87 (1d100)

>>1477526
When he goes for the grapple use storm magic.
Shocking grasp.
>>
Lothere tries to use brute force to take Wave down, but she has a counter-action planned.
Taking one step back, she knocks his hand away with one of hers, spraying him with water - she turns and, using her other hand, uses a shocking grasp on Lothere, stunning the man.
>>
Rolled 75 (1d100)

>>1477541
Move backwards as best as i can, avoiding her attacks while i try to regain my senses
>>
Rolled 17 (1d100)

>>1477541
Fire a shock bolt to keep the pressure up along side firing a water spray before that.
>>
Wave's shocks only served to "wake" Lothere up - his body fires up, through the pain his brain once again controls the rest of his body. The claymore is on the ground. Wave's a few feet in front.
>>
Rolled 44 (1d100)

>>1477547
Reach for the claymore and then leap/ sprint-hobble over to her, trying to stay close and use the pommel to pummel her limbs
>>
Rolled 98 (1d100)

>>1477547
Another freeze blast for the chest.
While he's trying to get the claymore
>>
Wave takes a deep breathe and charges in - dodging her enemy's strike, she hits him with a freezing blast point-blank, putting her entire magical power into it - Lothere is blasted away and falls to the ground, unable to move and losing conscioussness.
>>
Rolled 44 (1d100)

>>1477558
Try to stay woke
>>
>>1477558
"That...was a fun time...let's do that again some other day..."
>>
After a few last attempts at moving, Lothere's vision goes dark - the mages can sense he's out of the fight.
The Rog'gora is over! Wave Petros is once again Queen of Roggar, along with Empress of the Holy Pantheonic Emprie! All hail Roggar! All hail the Empire! All hail Wave!

I will have started funding the arts within my own lands, especially Thornebush and the Northern Isles, with annual competitions to attempt to see new designs and styles that my company can then buy from the artists. Other artisans such as sculptors and artists may also participate, with the feel of the "sculpted city" being a theme occasionally, as each contest has a theme. Manaborn themed artwork will receive additional bonuses. My goal is to get ducats and make my cities look pretty while reinforcing my Manaborn culture which will hopefully increase citizen happiness.

At last year's' Abagarian Fair the most promising designs presented were those of "The Dry Dock" - in some forms utilized in Anglanorse and Selaven already, the idea behind this construction is not too hard to comprehend.
A dry dock is a narrow basin or vessel that can be flooded to allow a load to be floated in, then drained to allow that load to come to rest on a dry platform. Dry docks are used for the construction, maintenance, and repair of ships, boats, and other watercraft.
This can be especially useful for building large ships - our previous limit was more or less a ship the size of the Superboat and even that was a very arduous shipbuilding process.

These passing years, Lucien Lectre has begun to take ill, and as such I, his younger son Solomon, shall be taking control of all Lectre businesses henceforth. Now, I am told that we failed to report in during project readings for the year 800, so allow me to fix that. In accordance with new terms within the Lectres, I shall be summarising each project before I speak.

Faction Project: Establishing a new settlement (Londor) in the Lectre-Steppe borderlands.

Council Project: Research aviation; define and design a rough, basic flight concept.

For the years 790 to 800, the Lectres began work on a new settlement in our acquired territory on the borders of the steppe, which we have dubbed 'Londor', as part of our efforts to expand and grow to provide for the people of the kingdom. The original concept called for it to be constructed south east of Starling, but difficulties may have arisen - I still await the full report during this transition.

In regard to my role upon the council, I have acquired documents of Lucien Lectre wherein he observes the flight of birds and extensively talks about their movement patterns and such; he seemed set on being able to consistently shoot one down as it soared across the sky. Towards the end, he began to ponder if we might fly as the birds do, outlining some key ideas that may be of use in the design of some sort of flying machine.

Thus, I have given his notes over to several of the top craftsmen of the kingdom, Lectre and not, and asked them to work in conjunction with whomever they must among the sciences in order to create a feasible design for such a thing. Soon, we may glide through the heavens - as I live and breath. That will be a fine day.

We'll do BOTH! Because we CAN! We'll build Dry docks and start building a collosal statue to Rog close to the harbor. It won't be one massive golem, but will feature weapon systems in some places.

You set up Londor.
Research on aviation produces theoretical papers and schematics of a wide variety, with some failed prototypes so far, but high hopes for the future.

Indeed, his line is direct from Leina Vance, elder sister of the famed Claudette Vance!
His red hair and impressive height, known attributes of Lady Vance, have only added to the expectations of this young man being Lady Vance reborn as a man. His build might be scrawny and experience lacking, but in time he will surely live up to his responsibilities and win great glory on the battlefield.

To seek what enlightenment we can in matters of spirituality, we shall journey to the Temple of Greater Sunset - on the edge of the capital, it is a large complex near a roosting ground - there is always at least one dragon present there.
We go by horse - partway there at a security checkpoint we are asked to dismount and give up our weapons.
The warrior-monk in charge says:
"These are grounds of peace and serenity. No blades are allowed and from here on you must walk the path by your own strength. Do not worry, this is one of the most easily accessible temples in that regard - if you want to challenge yourself, you should visit some of the mountain temples."
"If you have any worries, rest assured - we guarantee the safety of all guests who come in good will - even enemies of the Empire, if in accordance with the proper ways, are not harmed on these grounds."

It's less than half an hour from the checkpoint to the temple complex itself - by this point it's afternoon and it is easy to see why the place was named "Temple of Greater Sunset" - it looks towards the sea, with layers of protective walls and towers guarding the advances by land. It rests against a small mountain rising up about a thousand meters.
We enter the temple complex, under the protection of the monks - climbing upwards we see that there are large, open grounds that are likely made to be able to allow dragons to land and move around a bit.

They treat you to some local beverage made of rice, fruits and honey - it's not weak stuff either.
>>1482208
>>1482213
Speaking to some monks, they talk to you about their faith - the way of the Serene Dragons. Though originally the Serene Dragons were all Wind Dragons, over the centuries their ranks have attracted others as well - while the Empire conquered other Kingdoms, some of those had worshipped Dragons of their own - where possible, the Dragons of enemy kingdoms were persuaded into joining the Serene
The Serene Celestials ,as they are also known, are a kind of "Draconic Pantheon" in a way - there is no formal structure and they number in the dozens - most are still Wind Dragons, but in their ranks there are also Dragons of Water from Gajaxlan, among whose group is also one Ice Dragon. From Drezvak there are Fire Dragons and recently from elsewhere there have been new Dragons joining the Serene - Dragons of Storm and Earth.
As we walk alongside the monks, we reach one of the upper levels of the monastery. They introduce us to a man dressed predominantly in white and red - his features are that of an elf. He introduces himself as Sheng Rang - one of the Celestials of Wind.
"Aspirations of wisdom are a noble ambition - with mutual respect present, exchange of ideas may come - thus, I will speak to you as guests of this temple. Follow me, if you would."
He leads your leaders(since you chose to come with a small army there's not enough room for everyone) to a nearby building in a nicely furnished guesthouse to sit with him and drink tea.
"I hope the tea will be to your liking. Let us speak, then."
>>
>>1482262
"Thank you for having us. We've heard word of this religion you seem to have developed here. I must say, is there a hierarchy? Or is it just fully freeform? Who does someone worship as their idol?"
>>
>>1482262
Azeil calls over to his men, "Who here is the most well read on foreign interactions?" One elf raises his hand as the others point too him.
"Ok your coming in here with me".

As Azeil moves towards the Tea House he leans back to the other five of his men, "you could always ask to watch these Warrior Monks spar if you choose?"

Azeil bows before entering the Tearoom.

"So you are Wind incarnate? truly fascinating, You and your kin have built quite a tranquil place here, was it always so?"
>>
>>1482262
"The tea is splendid, m'lord. And the booze, admazing! I've never had anything like it before. You mush tell me your secrets."
*cough cough*
"Huh? Oh, yes, what of the women here?"
*facepalm* "Sir, the religion."
"The women are religious? Are they in the same vein as Batahl's women."
"No sir. We need to talk about religion."
"Huh? Weren't we just talking about the religion?"
"By the gods, sir, I am not translating that!"
And thus Robert tries his hand at some bad Zhong while the adviser tries to save his ass from embarrassing himself further.
>>
>>1482279
"We each guard over a portion of the population of this Empire, from which we recieve individual worship. There are over twenty dragon temples you can find - homes of a dragon - or two - that protect an area. Of course, we do not force the people into worshipping a particular dragon. Some go on pilgrimages to visit all the Dragon Temples. This place is a Monastery - training grounds for monks and dragons, a place of serenity and creation - great works of literature and art are produced in places such as this, fine crafts are cultivated by the monks - the local specialty is fine tea, but you may have also tasted brew from one of the monasteries not far from here. There are many monasteries across the Empire and in some of them you will also find Dragons - those of us who are very young and those of us who wish to spend time in more solitude, dedicated to a purpose."
>>1482282
"Well, Zhongian was united over five centuries ago by the Dragons of the day. Our philosophy and the structure of the religion has evolved over these centuries into the way it is today."

Azeil gives the girl i light tap on the head, "Please forgive the girl, the young are so inquisitive are they not?"

The Girl sinks into her seat a little and murmurs to herself some.
>>
>>1482331
"We do not believe in an inherent hierarchy of elements, but rather in balance and unity, for which we use one word - Serenity. The faith has its united tenets and philosophies, with individual dragons having branched off into certain aspects of belief."

Your preachers must pay a tax to be allowed to preach here and there is a small minority of Pantheonites that are not persecuted for simply living, though their temples are also taxed. With your business here concluded and your tea consumed, you wander around for a bit before bidding the monks farewell.
On the next day you visit the Imperial Palace in Daguoshin. As diplomats you are admitted to meet the Empress of Zhongian, Jilian Kai.
She awaits you on her throne, her eyes going over the visitors in her Palace.
Your guide asks that you all bow deeply as soon as you enter and then bow again if you plan to speak to the Empress.

The Empress stays on her throne. She wears a long red dress and plentiful decorations, that's what's instantly recognizable.

We've upped our propaganda game.
International news time.
Akeshisu has conquered the Karamori Islands after their second war against the native sea elves.
Sayo Akajima has proclaimed himself Demon Emperor of Akeshisu. Rumors of the demonic fleets and armies of Akeshisu start spreading - it is said they posess magical capabilities, discipline of steel and ferocious combat abilities unsurpassed by any other force.
In the Aurilen Dominion after years of Interregnum, a council of nobles and priests have chosen the new King - Regulon Renatus, he is known as a nobleman who fought in many battles during the War against Anavark, rising through the ranks of the military, after which he similarly climbed through administrative positions - many think he dreams of restoring the Elvish Dominate.
It seems last year Rhoznax launched a military campaign into the south, against the Realm of Goranak, the Fire Titan - determined to quash his resistance and claim more lands and people for Anavark.
Interesting times may soon be upon us once more.

On the 8th of Charodis, 806, a brawl was rumored to be had in the Arena of Dragonstomb. Very little was known by the peasants, as it was meant to be a noble exclusive event. In fact, little was known even to the nobles - it was merely billed as "a brawl like that of the Age of Heroes." Some of the younger nobles, who had recently learned about the Age of Heroes in school, begged their parents to come with them. Most parents complained to the servants and relented, who told their families about the event, and so it happened that the stadium was packed full not by letter but by word of mouth. Among the crowd were the likes of Ardan Dorsi, the man who had married the beautiful prize of the Lakton tournament a decade or so prior, the fourth Marcus of the proud Abagarian Archive, Wave's student Nothos Andarak, and even Wave herself. And that of course, is just the audience...

The participant for the Hawthornes was of course the leader herself, Countess Nasca. While she was not sound of mind insofar as her intelligence, Nasca was surprisingly talented with scientific matters, such as that of remedies. In the past she had received a nasty slash across the face when she ran into a duel accidentally (she won of course - brute strength trumped reason) and her face was further scarred by the result of experiments with herbal teas. She was a capable fighter, and decided to join the brawl after her godfather, Jac, had encouraged her to do it. She was clad in mostly leather, with tiny plates of metal shielding her legs and stomach from any uncouth tricks.

And with the death of the tomato, all hell breaks loose. A pumpkin is thrown into the arena, hitting no one, this time by some nobles angry at losing a bet over who the tomato would hit. Wave soaks her surroundings through a decent use of water magic, assisted by Nothos, who douses the peasants where the tomato had come from. In the arena, Marcus the IVth hits Nasca in the abdomen, winding her, while Belus goes on the offensive against him - and misses. He then trips, and creates a pile, from bottom to top being Nasca, Marcus, Belus, Arthur (who had tried to escape only to be dragged back in by Nasca).

He then brings him to the Tomb, on the charges of inciting civil unrest. Nasca manages to land a few hits on Belus, as Arthur manages to move back a few steps and catch his breath. The three opponents rushed each other, the blood pounding through their veins only being quieted by the desire to win that echoed throughout their mind. Nasca charged Arthur, trying to knock down what she saw as the weakest link - a thrown punch was almost blocked by him, but by the time his arm got to the right position he was already falling. At that moment Belus knocked out Nasca with a sharp elbow jab to the head, leaving him the last man standing. As the crowd roared, he looked up - only to be shocked at what he saw. A muddied, bedraggled, and thoroughly bloodied crowd stood there applauding him. His only question was what in the Gods' names had happened while the fight was going on.

The assembled councilors, having just agreed upon electing Councilor Marek, man of education and moderate temper, is suddenly made aware of the screaming mob at the gates.
The inflamed citizenry of Trusted Defense, enraged at the many years of income inequality and elitism in Trusted politics, have taken to the streets to show solidarity and to fight for a peaceful revolution. Carts are torched, slogans shouted, the unsolidaric beaten and trash equally distributed across the street.
The newly elected Trusted Councilor Mavek attempts to calm the crowd with his diplomatic skills, a man dressed in black and face hidden by a scarf bashes his head in with a club while shouting about how “Intolerance and hatred shall never be tolerated!” Many more join in and the corpse is soon pulp.
At this time, an old man with beady eyes and a nervous expression appears from the crowd. Hesitating, he finally carefully steps over the dead man and climbs upon a crate to address the crowd:
“Those who preach hate and violence shall not be tolerated! We shall build a society of equals where love, diversity and equality for all is placed first and foremost.”
The crowd goes ecstatic, “Death to all who say otherwise!” as well as “Vanders! Vanders! Vanders!” are their cries.
With the will of the people made clear and no soldiers close by, the assembled Councilors agree that this Vanders fellow should be placed in charge of everything. Trusted Councilor Vanders first act as supreme commander is to allow his followers to take to the streets and redistribute wealth with their own hands. Stores are looted and the wealthy educated with regards to the new order.
After several days of chaos, looting of rapine, the Grandmaster of the Knights of Juras finally deploy his men and scatters the mob with sword and lance. The Trusted Councilor is given a stern lecture on issues of law and order and eventually stutters: “O... okay then...”

Temples were vandalized - with words such as "False idols" written over the statues of the Pantheonic Gods. The attackers, religious extremists proffesing loyalty to the Old Gods, managed to attack the Palace itself- it seems they were well acquaintanced with its interior as they managed to rapidly maneuver in elite forces armed with enchanted weaponry and golems - in some places they were teleported in, we believe. Fighting their way through the Palace, the assailants managed to kill Empress Wave Petros! The reports indicate that Imperial forces were able to subdue the attackers and kill or capture all of them.

You all learn of this during a session in the Dragonstomb House of Lords.
What is to be done?

Actually we need to interrogate these guys now.

She killed my grandfather aye but he got a march too.
So shall she
>>
It was not just our Empress that was slain - her husband, Gustavus and their child, Advi, were also killed by the assassins.
A massive procession follows as their coffins are taken from the Palace to the river docks, where they board a ship headed for Eigersil. With priests of Mor escorting them along the way, performing all the proper rites, they are finally buried on Wave's home island.
The investigation of this incident has been given over to the Royal Spymaster and Royal Cartographer. While they are conducting it, we shall host the Contest - there must always be a King of Roggar.
You know the rules, same as before:

Nothos Andarak, student of Wave Petros, has won the Contest with a decisive victory!
On the 7th of Zemis the nobles of the realm are gathered in the Grand Temple of the Pantheon. The Pontiff of Dragonstomb, Miranos II, has just laid the dragonbone crown atop our new King's brow - Nothos Anadark is Dragonking of Roggar! Long may he reign!
He shall now give a speech before the nobles of his realm.
>>
>>1487089
"Praise his majesty, may he continue Empress' Wave's noble work to benefit the common people and avenge her cruel murder."
>>
>>1487089
May you rule with the wisdom and clarity of your predecessor. I'm sure your going to make her proud.
>>
>>1487089
Another king. May you not end up like the last one.
>>
>>1487089
After being coronated, Nothos goes to recieve the audience and say his peace.

"Men, and women of Roggar. I cannot thank you enough, for this opportunity. The opportunity to serve you all. The opportunity to mold this nation into the model others will seek after. Through desolate and eery times, Roggar has stood. Through the wrath of the Ice Dragons, our men took up their arms and marched. Roggar has stood testament, that if you believe, it can and will happen. When my forefather, Vodmus Andarak, came to this nation in search of riches, he was sorely disappointed. When he cast his contest, he was met with disdain and paranoia. 'How could a foreigner get so many votes?' They said. It was not through subterfuge, or evil magics. But it was through preserverence and belief. My belief, is that Roggar will stand for the rest of time. And I will gladly lead it until I no longer can. These 'prophecies' purported, of the Old Gods returning, the earth cracking and the skies splitting asunder do not scare me. Roggar has seen 800 years, and it shall see 800 more! Hail Roggar! Hail the Empire! HAIL THE PANTHEON!"
>>
>>1487156
Hail the Pantheon!
>>

Amid the congradulatory clapping and the occasional sentence spoken by the guests, two figures step forward. A man and woman wearing robes over their clothing. The Kingsguard move to stop them, but when the man takes off his hood they stop in place.
The woman speaks. A voice familiar to all present.

"King Nothos - it is wonderful to see that someone has taken the mantle of Dragon king to lead roggar once more. The Expediency with which this has happened really amazes me as to the strength and fortitude to us roggarians as a people but I must say it is quiet annoying that I must put this rumor to rest."

The woman takes her hood off to reveal the orange hair, lightly tanned skin and iconic hairstyle of Wave Petros - her clothing is rather simple, but she bears some of the Imperial Jewelry on her. It is unmistakenly her - the man beside her is Edgar Parrick, commander of her Imperial Guard.

"Which is to say my supposed death. I am alive and well. No matter what any ursurper or murderer may try I shall never leave my seat and will always seek to protect my people. I shall never abandon my people or the Empire. So I must say thank you, my student. You have come a long way to be able to come so far - were there need for it, I would definately have thought of no better candidate to succeed me as ruler of Roggar. Yet you need not burden yourself with the weight of the crown - I am back."

"It is good to see you, wave. When I heard the news, I was distraught. What they did to your child.....How are you alive? But regardless....I am dragon king now. You surely cannot expect me to step down now? After I won the contest? And was Coronated in front of the gods?"
>>
>>1487248

"I told you Arthur."

Wave speaks:
"The assailants slew my body double...but also my husband and child. At that time I was away on private matters, accompanied by Edgar - I let few know of the fact, all of them slain by the assassins."
"The grounds on which this Contest was held was the assumption that I am dead - valid until proven wrong. As you can see, so it has been. It is Juras' law that a person pronounced dead, upon returning and proving to be alive, has the right to be returned all property and previous legal status. I only just arrived in Dragonstomb, which has led to the present circumstances."
She stops adressing the crowd and turns to the man with the crown.
"Nothos - you were my student for many years. I gave you the positions that allowed you to gain so much experience in leadership and governance. When you participated in regicide and were charged with a crime, the punishment for which is death - I pardoned you. Surely you understand that I am in the right here. I am the rightful Dragonking of Roggar."
>>
>>1487346
Aemor saunters across the way to deliver another Jug before settling back down with a few hearty gulps...

>>
>>1487361
"I appreciate everything you did for me, truly. But I cannot step down. Instead, I put my stocks in the gods. Both of us wear the crown. We must hold a rog'gora to decide who wears it after this day. With the Pontiff here, we can be assured the gods are watching. Only through this way can this be resolved."
>>
''Please everyone calm down. As physician, i have knowledge of wave's conditions. If it is Wave that stand before us, Surely, i can confirm it before everyone in this court.''

Wave, the Royal Physician and one more witness go into a nearby room to inspect the validity of the claim.
They return soon after. This is the real Wave - she has the same scars from her two Rog'gora fights, is the same height as reported before, has the same measurements and so forth.
"Well? Still don't believe me?
>>
>>1487452
We have moved on without you. The king has shown that he is unwilling to step down. The last thing we need is another power vacuum to weaken this centuries prosperity. I beg of you empress, please back down.
>>

"Both have been elected by the same, rights of passage and both have been given the chance to wear the crown. They are equal in the eyes of Gods and Law."

"This situation is unprecedented there are three options for us all here today."
1) Rog Gora between these two to decide the matter
2) We throw away all our time of peace and spill the blood of our countrymen over this
3) One of them steps down

"We all know the third option will not come to pass and we all know there is little sense shedding the blood of many for an argument between teacher and student."

Rog Gora is the only way.
>>
"Whiskey tango foxtrot i need 6000 troops here in dragonstomb, whats their eta over" barius whispers into a portal while drinking underneath the table
>>
Wave sighs
"I am dissapointed, but I suppose I will have to prove, for the third time, that the Gods favour me."
"We fight today! No delays. I wish to get this done with as fast as possible."

Wave heads to the Gladiatorum with Edgar. As she walks the streets some commoners are confused, others are extremely happy - she's back, she's alive!

The 3 knocked over Marcus who tumbled straight into Nasca's outstretched hand, sending them to the ground in a heap. The minotaurs meant to be guarding the proceedings began to interfere with the rioters, taking any unsecured belongings. Wave holds position, focusing on ranged attacks - as Nothos tries to close in with his water jets for an attack with the staff, Wave manages hits him with a water blast with her right hand and an ice blast from her left from a close distance, knocking Nothos back.

The dragon commander falls into the crowd, and is just barely saved by the Grandmaster, Arthur. With his fall, the defense of the gates collapses, and some minotaurs escape. However, many more are swept further into the arena as drunken revelers on the streets celebrating Wave's sudden appearance move in to watch the fight. The brawl suddenly extends to them as even the few peacekeepers are beaten up by the Marshall. While Nasca and Marcus kiss, completely oblivious to the crowd, the Dragoncommander, Grandmaster, and Trustsky are standing on the edge of one of the balconies, precariously close to tumbling into the arena.

One spectator thrown from the stands falls on top of Nothos - as he manages to get him off himself, a tomato thrown is Wave is used by her as a projectile - the high percentage of water inside it - alongside other things flying, including the water that was being used for spells. Several repeated water blasts hit Nothos as Wave closes in and starts beating him up with her staff. He is now barely holding onto consciousness, knees heavy, palms sweaty.

The swipe barely does damage to Wave - she does a point-blank water jet and frost touch combo, launching Nothos, who was just healed by a spell from a caster in the audience - in clear violation of the rules, which security is having trouble enforcing - at the nearest wall. He's in terrible shape now, were it not for that heal he'd be out already.

WITH A "Then fall, Commander..." AND A WELL PLACED SHOVE, BARIUS THROWS THE 3 FURTHER INTO THE ARENA! They land heavily, although others below took most of the brunt of the impact. Some minotaurs had fallen earlier, which cushioned the fall as well. Meanwhile, Marcus, Nasca, and Barius lead the charge throughout the streets of Dragonstomb, in which the riot is quickly spreading. Carried aloft on the shoulders of the peasants, they seem to be heading for the Tomb, as the options of the merchant's district was stopped by weapon wielding halflings and elves.

Wave, wasting time on showing compassion and offering her foe surrender, makes a grave mistake - Nothos is ready to deflect her spells just as she prepares them, the result being them exploding in her hands. He's able to get back on his feet and take several seconds of breath, steadying himself up as Wave also recovers from the stunning effect.

The deranged screechings of thousands of peasants, guards, and all the others caught up in the crowd come together in a cacophony of noise, and as quickly as they came, they are replaced by something more terrifying. From behind the revelers their leaders see minotaurs tripping and falling, running from... something. It is indistinct at first, but becomes more and more obvious as it draws nearer. The Grandmaster, Dragon Commander, and researcher are drawing near on some form of extremely wagon! It appears to be propelled by several air mages in the back pushing it forward - and suddenly, it surges into the sky, drawing ever closer. In the heads of the rioters, they know now this is now or never. Time to make a stand, as they, well, stand side to side outside the tomb.

It was a hard, long fight, but Wave was the master and Nothos - the student. With her superior magical capabilities, she battered Andarak into submission with water and frost until he could no longer move. The judges, after managing to get a clear view through all the fighting, all called the duel to be over by knockout - Wave Petros has won her third Rog'gora!
Now the issue of the chaos across the city remains as Guards rush into the arena grounds to protect the combatants and get them out. Army forces are entering the city as the Guardsmen are trying to regroup around checkpoints, to secure the Tomb and other vital positions.

A flame was lit in the hearts of Roggarians that day - one quickly extinguished by one of the air mages who pushed oxygen away from it before anything could be done. All Nasca managed to do was get a nasty burn. As the wagon landed, it crushed several minotaurs beneath it, along with Marcus the IVth and Barius's foot. Some say you can hear both of them yelling to this day - but that's a story for another time. The Dragon Commander and Grandmaster rounded up the ringleaders and brought them to the city square where they were paraded around in nothing but tribal minotaur garb. That is to say, thin furs and very little else. As Belat, Arthur, and Lon sat back in a bar as the last few strays were brought to the square for punishment as decided by the new Queen, a certain song began to be played.

With order gradually being restored, Wave Petros is once again officially the Queen of Roggar. She will have to decide on Council appointments(if she'll change anything from what the council was a month ago, that is) and punishment for those who participated in the riots that threatened not just her life, but that of thousands of others in the city. While many were jubilant and found it to be fun, those who ended up losing their lives, limbs or teeth were generally not as enthusiastic about going through a second riot. News of this event shakes Roggar's international prestige, but some locals say that this is a sign that we're returning to our true Roggarian ways!
>>
>>1488161
The riot is quelled. I suggest all instigators be hanged for their crimes.
