Iris winces in pain, her fangs peeking over her lips as I hold her as close to myself as I can. Something clicks in my head, and instantly I know what I need to do! I need to get her some place quiet, away from all of this noise, it must be like torture to her. I have to get her away from all the alarms before I do anything else.

Lifting her up with my lower arms, and keeping her stable with my upper set, I carry her as fast as I can down the hallway, to the only place I can think of where there aren't any alarms, and I'm pretty sure she's going to get mad at me for putting her there. Then again, I'm not sure how much she likes flowers and stuff like that, I've never thought to ask, since she always seemed happier to get a new book than anything else...besides my blood of course.

"I'm fine...I'm fine" she mumurs, putting one of her hands to her head, her eyes still closed in pain as I open the glass door to the open air gardens with my tongue, and set her down on a bench, closing the door behind me as it starts to shake.

She sits up, her ears slowly lifting back up and swiveling around as she lays back, still holding her head....she must have a killer headache from all of that. Can't imagine how much that must've hurt.

"Alright, you just stay here and I'll go solve the problem" I say happily as I turn to leave, still hearing the faint sounds of the sirens through the door. Yeah that is going to get annoying....hmm good thing this places runs on the magic I use the most, I could just turn those off with a flip of my hand.

"Mali, no you're not, I'm fine to come along and I don't want you to go alone" She says, standing up, still looking a bit dazed and pained....before she looks confused as to why the alarms go off, then upset when she realizes what I did "You....you could've just turned them off this whole time?"

"Oh" I say, feeling my cheeks start to burn as my skin turns pink, dark red, and light purple in a constantly swirling pattern

".....I love how scatterbrained you can be" She says, kissing me on the bitemarks she left on my neck

My skin turns pale blue with creamy white mixed in on the undersides of my arms and insides of my wings.

"Mali? Is something wrong? You're usually so excited to go rushing towards danger" Iris says, tugging on my arm...she sounds worried for me "Are you really that scared for me? You know I can handle myself"

"N..no" I say, turning back slowly, smiling weakly as she tilts her head in confusion and realize what I did just now "its just that"

"Oh dear" She says, smirking right before I finish speaking

"I LEFT LIFA THERE ALL ALONE!" I yell, rushing past her, as fast as I my legs can carry me, even folding my wings up so I can run even faster.

"You really are a good mother, aren't you?" She says from behind me, but I can barely here her since I'm already racing down the hallways as fast as I possibly can!

I frown and say nothing, just holding her closer.

Iris comes flying past us, landing with her wings folded around herself as the wind she was carrying makes my hair rise up for a second.

"See, I told you there was nothing to worry about, besides I'm fairly certain lifa doesn't need that much protecting" She says sweetly, adjusting her glasses as they slip down her nose

"I know but I" I begin to say before I stop to think what to actually say "I don't like leaving them alone, especially when there's danger around"

"Kind of ironic, considering how much you like to face danger just for fun" Iris says, scratching her chin

"I'm not complaing, she makes a wonderful pillow" Lifa says teasingly as Iris frowns

"But its not like she was in any danger, I mean they're still" Iris begins to says before

I stare at her for a second, as she looks me dead in my eyes. I slowly smile, and she shrinks away, obviously expecting me to tease her or something. I giggle and shrug

"Well lets get going then, seems like we can't waste much time" I say happily as her ears perk up and she smiles as well

"Well we could, but more people would die" Lifa says dully "And we can't have that, it'd just be....cruel...can you carry me there though? My legs are tired from cleaning"

"And it'd make our job of getting them out easier if we have more backup that isn't dead on the ground" Iris says flatly "And We don't need anyone else to die because of this"

"Actually" I say, snapping my fingers, black smoke surrounding me as my succubus armor slowly begins to appear on me, piece by piece....Lifa still tries to use my bosom as a pillow despite the breastplate now covering them "Shouldn't we figure out what they are first"

"I was planning on that actually" She says, placing her hand onto the side of the wall, closing her eyes as cooking magic mixed with change and a bit of...smithing? works its way into the wall from her fingers.

"Attention, if you're still alive down there, could you tell me exactly what you're fighting down there?" She asks, impatiently, her voice echoing from the speakers in the walls...even though she isn't moving her lips.

"Uh...its uh" A new voice, different from the last one says, sounding terrified "Well....they're all covered in blood. There's some old bloke in a torn suit looking like he's never had a drink in his life that just points at people and they....pop, some chatty bastard in some creepy robes with a scythe nearly bigger than he is that he swings like a little shiv, a woman that's been...been eating my mates, even the monsters, and some creepy quiet girl that ...she's doing things that I don't really understand, pretty sure at least she and the creep with the scythe have magic, but...but they're human, and we aren't supposed to be able to"

"Ah....hello sir, I believe you shot me just now" a different voice chuckles as Iris' eyes fill with surprise and fear "

"....Scourge no" the other voice whimpers

"Hey, we just wanted to talk, you only have yourself to blame for this"

And then comes the most horrible scream I've ever heard. It starts out high enough for me to feel in my bones, then turns to a wet, low gurgle before I hear a wet splash mixed with the sound of leather tearing.

Most of the maids are crying now as Iris slowly turns around to face me, adjusting her glasses and looking nervous.

"Thradrick....Jack the reaper, Alive the puppeteer, and Sitari" She says calmly as her ears swivel around rapidly

And before I can ask who they are she says this "My mother's four "familiars" as it were, I'm actually surprised she sent all four of them to bring us back home"

I don't want to know, I'm already worried and scared as it is, so I just snap my fingers and stop Iris before she can add any more horror to this.

I groan, lifting my arms up so I don't drop either of my babies, holding my motionless girlfriend against my frozen daughter so I can get a better grip on them....which just so happens to mean I have to grab Iris' ass, I tell myself. Even though I know I could just put my arms under her legs to do this. My chest is burning, and I've already carried these two down a flight or two of stairs. My back is killing me, and I think my legs might actually be turning into jelly. WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME! My blood red hair falls into my eyes as I slowly tip toe my way down this third set of stairs, digging my fingers into Iris and Lifa to try and keep my grip on them as I do my best not to trip and fall on top of them.

Gah....they're so much heavier together, its like carrying an entire cart of potatoes! But worse because I could drop a cart of potatoes without having to worry if any of them got smashed. Sweat flows down my face, tasting sweet as honey as I slowly continue on.

I can't feel my arms anymore, and somehow I'm beginning to lose feeling in my wings!.

I'll just close my eyes, since I'm pretty sure there aren't many more stairs from here on out and oh would you look at that....nearly tripping down another flight of them great! You know what, fuck this! I'm turning them all into a slide. I sigh as I lay back, guiding my lover and child so they don't hit the walls as we slide our way through the winding corridors of the castle, nearly hitting a frozen Naga as we fly past them or smacking into the chest of a big, bone covered lizard monster thing lifting up a monster with a bag over its head by the noose round its next.

....Wait, I think we might be going a bit too fast! Everything's a blur right now!...still grey though.

Which is a real sham because this is really fun~! I can't help but to laugh as we zip and zoom through the castle, going faster and faster every passing...well every frozen second, since time isn't passing for everything but me right now. I grin widely, laughing even louder as the rush starts getting to my head, making me feel light and tingly all over, as I get really excited and caught up in the one moment this is taking. Ah, I should do this more often! Hell I should make it higher and cover it in oil so I go even faster, this is amazing. And then that wonderful feeling shrinks a little, as I remember that we're going to have to stop at some point, and its probably going to hurt.

I sigh, but its not like I can't still have my fun. I snap two of my fingers as I slide between Iris and Lifa. Golden lights fly under me, measuring out and creating pillows of all different sizes, from cotton, silk, cotton candy, frozen frosting, soft metal, fur, leather and other things. I fall into them, laying in them just in case they aren't enough, giggling and hollering happily as we all start moving way too fast, but I don't really care anymore! this is just too much fun!

The grey's become darker, and I begin to smell blood. I smile, breathing out a cloud of cooking magic, the pink cloud flowing behind me as the scent of blood is washed away with the sweet, sweet smell of a cake....a massive one.

I hit it, and then Iris and Lifa hit me as I sink into it

Diplomacy first when it comes to sort-of family.

"Mali let me" Iris begins to say, but I'm already jumping out of the cake when she starts, making her sigh heavily.

"SURPRISE!" I yell, spreading my frosting covered arms out as I look down at the four people standing before the cake "ALSO DO YOU KNOW HOW RUDE IT IS TO TALK ABOUT SOMEONE LIKE THEY AREN'T EVEN THERE, The nerve!"

The Man in the hood frowns, blood dripping down his gloved hands as he looks up at me, his throat torn to tatters and blood staining his face and beard as his frown turns upside down into an amused smirk. The other man just swirls his glass of blood around, barely even paying attention to me with a nasty looking bite in his neck. The mad woman behind him with wild hair peeks over his back, looking at me like a cat would a mouse, soaked in blood like the rest. The girl with blonde hair and a blood and dirt covered blue dress glances at me, not saying a word.

"Well? why should we be polite?" the older man asks

"Because its common courtesy?" the man with the hood...who I think I may have met before, pretty sure he's the jack fellow "and we were being rude"

"Haa, so? we have a job to do here" The woman growls "We aren't here to be nice, we have our commands"

"Yes as I was saying, we didn't come here to ask" The older man snorts

"But.....forcing them back would be a bad idea" Jack mumbles under his breath, running a hand over his scythe's blade to clean some guts off of it

"Did you even try to talk?" I ask after a long, cold silence

"Oh, me and Thradrick did" Jack says happily "but...Sitari got hungry and we got a bit mad"

"That is an understatement" Thradrick says smugly "I'd say furious, enraged...either works really"

"Tch, they were going to attack us anyway" the mad woman says...guessing she's Sitari, meaning that little girl is....alive? what a weird name, but its still a little too close to....

I glare at her, and she looks confused as to how she's pissing me off.

"So I assume you know why we're here, demon" Thradrick says bluntly

"We aren't going back without Marla" I say sternly, crossing all four of my arms

"Oh, is that right?" He asks, flashing a cruel, hungry smile "Well, our orders were clear, protect Layla's youngest from heartbreak and keep that dog out of our home"

It looks like the work of a bad butcher or some kind of hungry animal, torn meat and body parts spread over a thick pool of blood that I realize is slowly draining into them. Yeah I'm pretty sure I'd survive that but....I don't think I'd want to...it just looks painful.

They turn to start arguing and I clear my throat, not screaming so I don't hurt anyone.

"Listen to me, I know why Marla got so violent, and I know things were happier when the whole family was together" I say slowly, clapping my hands together just over my mouth "Mom....needs her sisters, they help her stay somewhat human, sure me, my siblings and papa do that to, but...they keep her social, they keep her from just ignoring everything else, they force her to interact with the world and would probably do a lot for keeping her grounded, because....they know what it means to be human"

I pause as Jack and Alive smile, and Sitari growls. Thradrick just sips some of the blood of the men and monsters he and the rest murdered to get up here.

"Me and my siblings are...we were born dead, and we may have emotions, we may not be as violent and bloodthirsty as our mother was at our age, but....we don't know what its like to be human, we were born monsters and never went to school or had friends that weren't working for us in some way before mali. We don't know what it means, and we can't help mother keep what little humanity she has and nurture it. But her sisters did, they were around her when the world was just humans, they know how normal people act, and unlike mom they actually go out of their way to meet with other people and meet new ones. And don't start with, your mother is doing fine, she has become a recluse, and she's barely gotten better with her two sisters I've brought home already, Sure jasmine reminds her to be kind, and Elizabeth reminds her there is fun to be had besides killing or staying with the family, but that isn't enough. I know why Marla left, mom went too far before I was born, I can understand why she did it but....Marla knows why she shouldn't have, she knows about justice, and sure alex does to, but he's too into it, he loves the law. And its the same way with all my siblings, Karla needs too care about everyone in the country equally since she keeps its running, Vera cares too much about her own fun.

Should have pick this instead of just saving her, oh well. Pretty sure Alith won't do anything that we wouldn't let her do, since she's bound to us.

I sigh, and hold my hand in my head as I watch them start to fight. Thradrick gets a hit in, tearing open Jack's face before he grabs his scythe and spins it around in a smooth motion, nearly cutting the old dead vampire in half as he continues tearing his face apart. Bringing his swing to an end, he tosses the grey haired ghost to the ground spraying rotten blood everywhere as he hits it with a thud. He gets up on all fours, growling at him and showing off his mouthful of fangs, which look much more terrifying than mine ever do....or I hope they do at least.

His nails turn to claws, ripping through his hands as jack pulls up his hood, electricity running down his scythe as he gets ready to fight.

Blood crawls up Thradricks arms as Alive and Sitari turn to eachother. Sitari licking her lips as the younger girl raises a few of the dead as her puppets, strings of blue magic connecting them to her fingers.

"So, are you going to let me finish my quest now?" I ask, as they all stop and turn to face me, looking a little annoyed I interrupted their fun


"YES" they all yell, clearly intent on tearing each other apart first.

"Alright then, thanks for being so understanding" I say, turning my back to them as I turn back to the whole in the cake, seeing Mali looking like she's about to cry and Lifa trying her best to comfort her....guess I effected her more with my speech than anyone else.

Smiling I glance back to them, shouting "Tell my mom I love her when you get back"

"Iris that was" Mali tries to say before I put a finger on her lips.

"Easy right?" I ask, smiling as she pulls me into one of her pillowy hugs and holds me tightly "Now how about we go grab the girls and go out for awhile while these four tear each other apart"

She smiles and nods happily, too enthralled with embracing me to say a thing

Walking out of the cake with Mali nearly hanging on my back, and Lifa walking besides me as I can hear the four of those dead men and women fighting each other, ripping each other apart and regrowing from the blood they spilt up on the way here. I shake my head and sigh, guess they must've had a lot of pent up aggression.

"So....is it really alright for them to be ripping each other apart like that?' Mali asks as Lifa shrugs

"They can't die, their souls are just bound in my mother's blood right now and given phsyical form, if they die they just return to her" I say calmly as Mali pauses, still smiling before disgust slowly spreads over her face as she grimaces and groans

"Sounds like some really nasty magic, that could spread diseases and"Lifa begins before she tilts her head towards me, her single eye narrowing "Wait how does she even"

"Yeah, how and why can she do that! Why does she do that its just....disgusting" Mali groans as I shrug

"I can't answer that" I say as I slap the wall with one of my fur covered hands, sending a bit of magic through the walls to send the all clear signal to the rest of the mobile fortress "But what do you two want to do"

Sure its surrounded by broken trees and rusted war machines like tanks and some of those plane things Iris told me about, but it is still lovely. Even Lifa loves this place since nature has reclaimed it. And it has, flowers are growing among the rusted metal, and the grass is growing wonderfully...but isn't too high yet.

I sigh, wiping sweat from my brow as I toss another bundle of branches in my logs into the bonfire sitting by the edge of the lake, with a few of the braver maids who came with us sitting around it as Galina rests inside of. She's growing as the flames grow, looking lost in thought but it looks like she's enjoying herself. So it can't be all that bad. I grin, seeing Iris trying to teach Maya how to swim in our "reality" as she wades around in the shallows, wearing a one piece swimsuit while I'm just wearing what I always wear.

I sigh happily, this is just so wonderful. Everyone is enjoying themselves, even blondie is since Lifa decided to provide the waves for them. Even if she butts head with me, its nice seeing her having some wholesome fun with her friend, surfing and laughing....

Seeing how well we do before asking for help.

"Hmm, that's actually a pretty good idea" I say happily, handing Alith one more milkshake before I leave, this one flavored peppermint and chocolate, before I skip over to the edge of the "Beach" my bare feet sinking into the mud and silt as my skin turns varies shades of green and blue. It slowly turns darker as I wade into the freezing water, shivering and wrapping my arms and wings around myself, waiting a minute or two to get used to the cold before I dive into it and start to swim as fast as I can, breaststrocking and kicking my legs for a little more push. Hmm, I think I could go faster if I just kept my lower arms hugged to my stomach.I smile, swimming along over to Blondie and her friends as another wave comes their way.

I jump a bit, realizing its going to hit me but...that sounds exciting, and I've done a lot more dangerous things while flying so why not. So I just sit, floating and waiting for it to hit me, and when it does I get tossed around like a piece of ice in an empty glass or a ship in the middle of the storm. Colder than ice water slips in and washes over everything, making me feel numb as I get thrown and pulled around, barely able to see what is up.

Then it all stops and I rise up, spitting out all of the water I swallowed, as Blondie screams in surprise

"W...what are you doing here!?" She says, hanging onto her shark patterned board as I sit next to it, trying to cover herself

"Hey I brought you out here?, Can't I swim a little?" I huff, crossing all four of my arms as she frowns and sighs "So rude'

"You know what I mean, why are you....here" she says sounding a little angry

"Oh, I want you to teach me how to surf" I say cheerfully as she frowns and tilts her head

"Why?'She asks sounding confused "I mean, you don't seem like the surfing type, and why not ask one of them"

"Because, they like me, you don't, we could bond" I say excitedly as she shakes her head

"Noooo we won't" she says, sighing as I frown deeply "Are you sure you want me to teach you?"

"Yep, no chance of you being distracted by all this" I say motioning to my wonderful figure, as she gets distracted by it

"Well, you usually don't, you just lay on it and paddle or straddle it most of the time....you should know how to do that right?" She says smirking as I smile, she laughs at her on joke and then continues "Haaa, anyways don't stand on it until you catch a wave"

"And how do I do that?" I ask as she smiles, seemingly forgetting the fact I kind of sort of kidnapped her and her friends

"well...you have to paddle up it then stand up" She says "then when you get high enough, you stand and balance to ride down it, there's different ways to do it, but we'll just start at the basics"

"alright...I'll have to ask Lifa to make smaller waves for me" I say Nervously as she shrugs, and I just hug the board

"That'd probably be for the best, even if you're a demon, can't imagine hitting your head on a rock would be very fun" She says smiling before she frowns "and don't worry about falling, you have an extra set of arms and wings to keep you on it, and all that magic of yours has to be good for something right"

"Yeah, nothing to worry about right?" I say nervously as she walks besides me, still not getting too close to me

"Yeah, just try not to scare yourself into falling on your ass" She says, poking me with the back of her board "and don't try and go to fast and do what you can't, just follow me and learn how to paddle right first, then we can move onto the real surfing....and don't actually follow behind me"

"Oh want to get a good view then?" I say teasingly, sticking my tongue out as she stammers and turns even redder as I laugh

Oh sweet beautiful fuck... I almost want to take Carol for the eventual panic attack she'll give Mali, but that would be far too mean, and being the first dragon magical girl sounds really fun. And so many combinations to choose from! Oh man, this is going be a really tough choice, I love it! And a question: How long will the original Destructive Saviors be locked in contractor form? My favorite quest for drawing is monster girl cause I been with it the longest and hm had an actual art reference on top of my legend versions.

So may is the easiest, and um, super nova is fairly easy, its in my style, the innocence thing, soul reaper kinda got an idea and wasn't too bad either, but this one, very hard cause her description is like 10 thousand years long and I don't know much about the quest, plus no visual references.

That Celeste char I intro'd you guys too is one of my oldest characters in terms of playing and playtime. I'm usually a gm as I've said before and never a player, so she's a char who I played the longest.

I played/wrote for her off and on for about 7 years. Going months at a time or maybe a year or two at one point of player her very steady. So I know her super well.

At first it felt a little bananas. When you're used to playing more than one char always, sticking to just one makes you bored sometimes, even if that character is really interesting or a fav.

I'm just saying random things for the sake of talking by the way. Feel free to ignore. XD

I know for me there are pet characters, like Celeste who are just, so good, that it's like they had to exist. or something along those lines.

That's the kind of thing I was thinking about.

That's why I asked which game was your oldest. And I noticed everyone really excited for this game all the time, wanting me to draw for it.

So I thought maybe you feel that way about this particular game/setting and character kinda deal. As I do about Celeste etc.

With more than one char you get to play with plot! And interactions. And add more spice and interest and wonder to the game for your players etc.

Mmm yah. You can really get lost in there. I find the funnest characters to play are ones who share important personality traits with your real self, that you exaggerate, with a few aberrations or differences from yourself.

The more different form the real me, the less time I really want to play that character. Even if it's a villian it has to have some aspect of the real me.

Not carbon copies, just aspects, exaggerations, etc. maybe a similar interest or just a little something.

If I play a char who is like, half and half removed, definitely so different from the real me that it's odd feeling, I can still get 'into' them and play them well but it's a use it or lose it situation. I have to play that character for a loooong long time, and not miss a day, kind of thing, or else if I leave that character and come back later, I'll screw up and forget the nuances, I'll warp them, or some aspect of the real me will leak out and change the char.

I had that happen to a really decent character once, and it was kinda disappointing. It was just too hard for me to capture her 'essence' and remember it again. So I could write 'from that place.'
