Schechei is much quicker to react than you expected, but she's still young; and while she may be a gish and may have earned a silver sword, she is nowhere near on a par with her lover, Auena, Tzanzi....or you. So you catch her blade on your bracer and slam Siobhan's quite solid hilt across her face, still bruised from the violence of her mating with Falna. She reels, which invites a half-hearted swing from Falna, but that you catch upon Siobhan's quillons. Schechei recovers quickly and slashes at you, which you take against your ribs, the bruises developing quickly though the magical forces that protect you prevent any real injury.

Schechei's eyes go wide as she looks up at you, realizing you struck her the first time to salve her pride, but you are no longer interested in dealing with her; she isn't a threat to you. Falna hefts her blade, caught between protecting Schechei from your wrath or trying to kill you in earnest. Her hesitation is far more than you need.

You grab Schechei by the throat, the black orb of power breaking apart between her throat and your palm. Black lightning erupts about the slender githyanki's body. She wails, a high keening cry as her life force is shredded by the potent spell, bolstering your own in equal amount. She falls unconscious – you suspected she was a hardy little thing, given how violent Falna has to have been in mating – and you turn your crimson gaze on Falna, who takes a startled step back. It isn't enough, because you are all over her. At the very instant Siobhan nearly makes contact with the first blow you channel the arcane forces that empower her, transforming her back into solid material, but making her more accurate....while muting the energies of violence around her, softening their power into something survivable.

The blast of ruby and sapphire lightnings that Falna absorbs is backed by the impact of your sword into her side and she staggers under the assault....the next two hits are a result of her lack of focus and her inadequate armor (she's mostly naked, and her magical protections aren't nearly the equal to yours. It's not nearly enough to kill her, but she's hurting badly, still in shock at your power and your willingness to kill the young acolyte. You look her in the eyes and then lash at her twice more, Siobhan shrieking in your mind as Malnae howls in helpless frustration as his distracted mistress is treated like so much practice material.
>>
Your second strike comes overhead, and crashes into her collarbone despite Malnae's warning; you sweep the blade up and under coming in below the same arm, and smash into the soft places just under her ribs. You pull back but she curls into a fetal ball, Malnae held tight. “Sssuccor, Leader, f-for Ssschei's sssake!” Her hissing lisp tells you that you may not have broken anything, but you've nearly battered her unconscious.

“For love's sake Falna?! After all my warnings, did you listen? You should have thought of that long before you came to me with your desires.” You smash Siobhan across Falna's exposed back, and she arches, her high pitched whistle of pain telling you that she can't take very much more at all – one more solid blow would render her unconscious for certain. Shaking, the warrior takes the hint and moves to a standing position before you, Schechei still clutched in your left hand by her throat.

You step back, exposing Tzanzi and Kteine. Kteine's eyes are narrowed in anger, her spurs bared by grit teeth. Falna's expression of horror and shock are enough; Kteine, whatever she may have been to Falna, is no longer in love with her. Tzanzi smiles faintly, vindicated in something, you're sure. “One betrayal too many Falna. You have lost much more than what you could have gained from me. Behold your new born githyanki, who has grown out of the love you once shared even as she became everything you wished of her by my hand.”

Falna's expression is utter despair, and then she looks at Schechei in your hand, and you can see something desperate, something violently and absolutely desperate move through her expression. Malnae gives of a low, soft moan of pain and anguish for her mistress.

“And now we come down to the moment of truth, Falna,” you whisper softly, your vengeance finally complete – even if it wasn't what you had planned for at all.

[] End the Oath with her. Release her to go her own way – you've fulfilled your Vows.
[] Brand Schechei and then brand her, mark them as untrustworthy to you, but keep her on.
[] Ask her if she will die in Schechei's place – you should take a life for this act of betrayal.
[] Release Schechei and tell her to go find a healer. You have no more time for them this turning, and will see them at the Gathering.

>Release Schechei and tell her to go find a healer. You have no more time for them this turning, and will see them at the Gathering.

Much as I would like to be done with their betrayal and pettiness, we cannot exactly afford loose ends. Killing one of them might end both, but that too isn't fully desirable.

What exactly would branding them mean with respect to the upcoming raid and the rest of Akko's cadre?

Also, is this when you usually run? No wonder I never catch these.
>>
>>1463942
This is when I usually run The Raiders, yes.
>>
>>1463980
You have my gratitude. This has been an entertaining quest to read, and my inability to participate has been slightly vexing. Regardless, thank you.
>>
>>1463844
Yeesh, this is a tough one, I guess I kind of feel like unlike that one one guy we killed, we've invested more into Falna, and if she can get her shit together, she might yield more results, but I'm not sure if I'm just being sentimental.

I'd like to ask her what she wants, why she thinks this is happening to her, try to impart some meaningful lesson here that will make her a more productive asset in the future, but I'm not really sure how.

Unless I can think of something, I guess I agree with the other guy's vote, because we do have a lot more on our plate.
>>
>>1463844
>[] Brand Schechei and then brand her, mark them as untrustworthy to you, but keep her on.
Something must be done to punish them, but I doubt other voters will want them dead.
>>
>>1464082
I guess I feel like Falna turning Kteine against her is already a fitting punishment, and Akko herself made a Githyanki out of Schechei, so I'm unsure about how appropriate a punishment would be there.
>>
>>1463844

>Ask Kteine what she wants to happen, now.

>Give Falna hopes that she just might fix all the things she just destroyed. Maybe.

>Release Schechei and tell her to go find a healer. You have no more time for them this turning, and will see them at the Gathering.

>>1464082

Fuck that, Schechei's only crime is having been stupid.

>>
>>1464171
Maybe, but perhaps we should limit how many people will kill in what is a fairly rapid clip.
>>
>>1463844
>[X] Mercy kill Falna for her own sack she just causes herself pain when she is alive.
>>
>>1464063
>[] Release Schechei and tell her to go find a healer. You have no more time for them this turning, and will see them at the Gathering.
To clarify my last vote if needed.
At the least, not a big fan of punishing Schechei, or at least not in a permanent manner?
>>
>>1464215
So do they deserve any punishment for their betrayal?
>>
>>1463844
>mark them as untrustworthy to you, but keep her on.
What does this mean specifically? Like is it essentially suggesting that this Githyanki shouldn't be trusted by anyone, ever, or is it more specific to them failing us?
>>
>>1464222
I mean, we just placed an obscene amount of hurt on Schechei and Falna was totally impotent to stop us, and Kteine has now completely turned against her. I guess I generally feel like sufficient punishment would be gratuitous, and might not be an efficient use of Falna's current desperation? Generally I guess I want Falna to never try to pull this shit again because she won't want to drag Schechei down with her, like you know, turn Falna's most glaring weakness to our advantage.
>>
>>1464223
Branding or Marking (one being physical, the other being magical) a public announcement that marks them as having failed and being untrustworthy to you. Being a Leader this information will be carried by the Slver Swords and given to other Leaders and Supreme Leaders.

Retallying votes.
>>
>>1464243
Adding
>[x] End the Oath with her. Release her to go her own way – you've fulfilled your Vows.

But also
>[x] Ask her if she will die in Schechei's place – but don't actually do so.
Unless that's horribly inappropriate, I suppose. The politics with these people is inscrutable.
>>
The Raiders – Part 16

[X] Release Schechei and tell her to go find a healer. You have no more time for them this turning, and will see them at the Gathering.
[X] Write in? The right to punish remains mine and mine alone; consider this a gift....but not yours.

You stare at the shaking, battered, bleeding visage of your one-time lover and now rival. In every way you have utterly and completely defeated her, though that wasn't entirely your intent. As her Leader, you have the power of life and death over her, and she has definitely overstepped a few boundaries. Siobhan is singing a soft, howling song of victory over Malnae, who moans softly at his mistress' pain and suffering.

She catches the limp body of her mate as you thrust the delicate gish at her, and you can't stop yourself from baring your spurs at her. Not that you would have, really, not at this moment. Insults be damned. “Go. Seek a healer. You will be at Dunzamn's Convocation with the rest of my cadre. Get out of my sight and stay gone until then – and know that you have earned punishment for your transgression, and that punishment is held in abeyance only by the fact I doubt you would survive it as you are, and your mate would not.” you narrow your eyes. “For her sake, as you asked, you live and you remain mine to command. Consider your penances well, for you have made fatal mistakes here, and live only by the grace granted Schechei, rather than any merciful impulse on my part.”

The crystalline wall of ectoplasm collapses into fine dust that fades away as Siobhan releases them. Falna lists one hand, saluting you with her eyes closed, and saying nothing, her battered flesh starting to bruise already. She rises, carrying the weightless body of Kteine's twin and she retreats, turning her back upon you as a further sign of her defeat at your hands. As she leaves, your cadre hisses softly at her, baring spurs and lifting their hands with fingers and thumbs together, walling her off of their sight and mind, a shunning that she has earned from them by her own reckless actions rather than any command you might have given.

You really did consider branding them, but the mental scars are more than brand enough for now; the brand is a warning to other Leaders more than anything your cadre would care about. They were here to witness her betrayal after all. On he other hand, the brand would be noted by the Silver Swords, and even if hidden or removed the brand would remain in the memory of the Swords until you struck it from the record. You glance at Kteine, who sits down where she is, her ankles cross and her knees spread, but her arms rapped about her calves, her sword set in the Astral Fundament to rest on nothing. She sighs and shakes her head, the loss not effecting her as much as it would have if she were not githyanki.
>>
Also:

How are you, XS?

>>1464222

I don't think we could inflict a bigger punishment on them unless we take a lot of time and effort. They basically hit rock bottom, here.
>>
>>1464222
The question isn't "what do they deserve".

Flanagan raised her blade in betrayal of her leader. Moreover she failed. She deserves whatever we choose to mete out.

The correct question is "what does Akko want to gain from this?"

Falnas love makes her exceptionally vulnerable to manipulation. Her knowledge of the events that just transpired makes her potentially dangerous beyond the reach of her sword. Her worth as a warrior makes her potentially useful.

I say we give her over in Oath to Tzanzi.

Who will likely be harsher on her than Akko.
>>
Yashi is breathing heavily through pursed lips, her realization that you are not merely a drama queen but a very deadly killing machine with uncanny powers having sent her into something of a panic. You grin at her, and then turn to the others. Your slaves are huddled in a corner far, far away from you and your wrath; just as well. Yustuoc probably couldn't keep her fool mouth shut. The poor Skulker Jiyua is staring at you like you are some kind of Nightmare Dragon or Astral Daemon, which is understandable. Yzia is looking at you with smug satisfaction, while she pets a thoroughly pleased Rana; Auena is looking relieved she didn't have to fight a cadre member, while Tzanzi is smiling at you, her eyes glittering with dark knowledge.

And desire.

[] Comfort Yashi and Kteine a little. Only a little, you want them to remember this well.
[] You do owe Tzanzi, and she's clearly in the mood to take what she wants.
[] Dismiss Jiyua as well; her debt has been paid in part.
[] Ask if there is any other Business to be taken care of before you indulge other appetites.

Honestly Falnas issues could stave of ennui for centuries as she struggles to deal with us being better than her. Or trying to kill us. I would think Yashi would be all for that.

If I understand the time right we don't have a lot left.

Why only a little?

It serves no purpose to leave them scarred by witnessing our actual mindset and the consequences for being stupid. I think the lesson's cut as deep as a vorpal sword.

Hmm well, how about instead of doing things in half measures, we go about it with a certain pointedness and intensity that both comforts them and makes the right things stick. Sounds like her style.

>>1464286
>[X] Comfort Yashi and Kteine a little. Only a little, you want them to remember this well.
Is there a way to reassure yet unnerve Yashi and Kteine by reminding them of their prior agreements with us? ...Actually wait, did we technically already fulfill our arrangement with Kteine if she's now truly Githyanki?
>[X] Dismiss Jiyua as well; her debt has been paid in part.
Jokingly-but-leaving-open-the-possibility ask if she'd like to join us, give some reassurance that as long as she doesn't cross us we won't go after her after our business is concluded?
>[X] You do owe Tzanzi, and she's clearly in the mood to take what she wants.
Hm, how good is Akko at multi-tasking? Like can we do some of those things while Tzanzi ravages us?

Akko's good, but not that good.

The last time Akko enticed Tzanzi, Tzanzi literally attacked someone. The time previous it was all Akko could manage not to be torn open by Tzanzi's spurs.

Multitasking she can manage. Multitasking when she's being savaged....not so much.

So I'm not really sure what we're doing in the larger run right now? Like we have a potential opportunity to become a Supreme Leader, but as we told that inquisitor, we literally can't be parted from Siobhan which makes attaining that position problematic. So it kind of seems like our options right now are:
>Try and find a way to make Siobhan be a True Silver Sword whether through our own efforts and having that count as valid or getting a Silver Smith to do it
>Try and go on the run with Yzia
I don't know, what do you think, fellow anons?
>>
>>1464511
>Make a deal with a dragon... seems like a good idea.
>>
>>1464511
Turning Siobhan into a true silver sword probably counts as a mythic deed.

But more than that I would want to do it even if we wind up running away to the Material.
>>
>>1464517
If the alternative is offending that dragon? Yes, very much so.

And dealing with Yzia, who is a dragon, has really paid off for us.
>>
>>1464511

We were planning to go more or less on the run, but Ancient Dragon (possibly) went all "no, you have to stay".

Apparently the idea to start a L'air so we have authority suitting our power level enough that it won't raise suspicion for a bit wouldn't work for the big dragon's demands.
>>
>>1464517
>>1464535

We made deals with a dragon so hard we made love.
>>
>>1464527
True, but I'm not really sure if Akko is on that level yet. Like maybe crafting Yashi's weapon and studying a normal Silver Sword could help further our understanding, but I'm not sure if we're good enough as it currently stands. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the Silver Smiths are meant to be like the biggest zealots for Her Majesty, and thus Vermithrax might not have any in his pocket like he does Tcharik?
>>
>>1464432
In a manner of speaking. She can and will 'top from the bottom'. That is how she enticed Tzanzi to sexually and physically assault Yashi. In public.

>>1464536
Is that what the inquisitor said the dragon believed?
>>
>>1464547

Tcharik's an Inquisitor. Hard to do more zealot-like than that.
>>
>>1464536
I mean, yes, I get that this quest is called The Raiders and we have yet to do any raids, and switching to intense resource management could have some dull spots, but the alternative is kind of be hunted to the ends of the multiverse which seems like too high a level of excitement. The main problem seems to be that Vermithrax doesn't know the specific nature of Akko's power, particularly how it affected Siobhan, which currently makes his offer of having us be a Supreme Leader a cruel joke instead of a lifesaver.
>>
>>1464551

Dunno about what was said in particular, but a Lair was said to be off the table as far as the Inquisitor knew and the dragon told him.
>>
>>1464536
>>1464570

I think the main problem is that having a Lair is still too low-status for Yzia, which means we'd be separated, which would break her heart, and evidently it's for Yzia's sake that Vermithrax is intervening?

So it's pretty much Akko's fault for being such a skilled lovemaker she granted Yzia some Mythic Power.
>>
>>1464560
Hey, here's an idea. Why don't we just go talk to a Smith? Just to see if it's inside the realm of the possible (not that that would stop us.)

We can't be the first goth to ever forge a more personal than usual bond with our sword.

And presuming we don't do anything ultra stupid like allowing the smith to analyze Siobhan's dweomer or the like we should be fine.
>>
[XX] Comfort Yashi and Kteine a little. Only a little, you want them to remember this well.
[X] Ask if there is any other Business to be taken care of before you indulge (Tzanzi) other appetites.
[X] Write in? No half-measures. They deserve proper attention, as well as forthright warnings. Jiyua....hmmmm.

You release the power that you have given Siobhan and her voice becomes a sweet melody at the back of your mind, a warm and reassuring presence that is yours to enjoy for the rest of your life. Which, at this rate, is a somewhat questionable duration. Still, Falna's knowledge isn't as much of a concern as the inquisitors is. You know how much Falna knows and how difficult it would be for a Warrior to explain the insane potency of your magics despite her experience. Even Jiyua would be hard pressed to manage it, magician that she is.

Sinking Siobhan's tip deep into the wall of your cell you turn and move to Yashi who quickly gets herself back under control. Her pale eyes are wide and bright, and you can nearly smell the commingled fear and awe streaming from her. Moving with deliberately wide and slow gesture, you slip your hand around the back of her head and move close. The illusionist stiffens, but only for a few seconds. Then she is relaxed and pliant in your hand, allowing you to pull her close as you gently force a kiss upon those soft, tender lips.

I trust that you understand not to play too freely with my life, beautiful and ancient Yashi. I am not a thing to be trifled with any more than Tzanzi is. The lithe female shudders, and you slide your hand down her body, caressing her through the tight materials she wears. No, she will not underestimate Tzanzi either. Lesson learned.

Not that you expect her to not incite drama; millennia of games don't end just because of one shocking revelation.

With a soft sigh you break the kiss, the tingling taste of those metallic studs along her tongue tingling upon yours. Maybe you'll have her perform some on you. It's an intriguing thought. But you have others to comfort.

Kteine looks up as you glide to her, moving through the fundament with the same ease as Rana does, but with a great deal more grace, in your opinion. You've been at it longer than she has, you merely chose to use your muscles when you may. Yzia appreciates the results, after all. You settle on your knees before Kteine, whose marigold eyes are deep, yet sharp. The burned shade has gone from them – she is no childer at all, but a full fledges githyanki. You slide your hand through her soft fall of wild hair, moving it over to the side in a sweep unlike that of her twin. The gesture is not lost on her and she lowers her eyes.

“I am not certain that I should thank you for all you have done for me, Akko,” she murmurs softly. You smile faintly and incline your head to encourage her to continue. The psychic gish frowns a little and lowers her head, thinking on what she wishes to say.
>>
“To Follow Gith in Her Ways is more than merely fighting the enemy and being true to our kind, Lovely. It is making those difficult choices that others impose upon us, and doing so in a manner that serves Gith's ultimate goals, goals we all share. Falna, for all her anger at me, did what she thought was appropriate in thinking to assist me against the inquisitor.” Kteine looks up sharply, her expression shocked. “Of course it is possible she was in the right and I was in the wrong. But you chose to follow me as Leader, and fulfill your oath to me, even if I was in the wrong. Our oaths bind us as a people, are a deep and significant part of our culture. And there is this to consider too....that I am serving Gith's ultimate goal as I see fit, her ways and mine are not divergent.”

At this she becomes thoughtful again, as you suspected she might. Multiple points of view are not discouraged except by the Knights, and they're nearly a cult anyways. “Then I don't regret my choice, Akko. Still....” Kteine shakes her head. “It is a painful loss. Schechei means a great deal to me.”

You lean over and slide your arms about her shoulders. The lean young githyanki looks up at you, startled. “Do you think Yzia and Tzanzi mean little to me merely because I am not in love with them?” Siobhan's mental chiding is difficult to ignore, but you persevere. The youthful gish's blush is soft and delicate, becoming on her coolly colored cheeks. “Love is dangerous. You saw first hand how it can be used against you, how it can destroy us. Falna is a much better warrior than that. She could have put up a very real fight if I had not had Schechei at my utter mercy. Think on that as well, if you will.”

You kiss her, softly and slowly, and she hesitates at first....then kisses you back, slow and deeply, and accepting your kiss. You knick her tongue with a spur and she starts, but you do the same for your tongue, mingling your blood together in your mouths. When you break the kiss, you look her in the eyes, still holding her. “You are githyanki now, and while I may not have borne you, I am no less your mother for that.” Kteine blushes even more deeply, and you laugh. “Please, such taboos are meaningless in a race that could have a daughter older than her father and mother are together!”

She nods, and you touch her lips. “I have fulfilled my oaths to Falna concerning your and your twin's nature. You are now both Githyanki. She is held to me by the Oath of obedience to her Leader now, and nothing more. But she owes me great, and I will have my due – all my due.”

Her expression is calm and without worry, and more importantly, she clearly understands the situation. “Yes, Akko,” she murmurs, accepting that you are Leader, and Schechei and Falna owe you deeply.
>>
With a wicked grin, and the amused thought that you're going to get to bed her sooner or later, you leave Kteine and approach the others. Rana smiles up at you, her glittering eyes filled with wonder and awe, while Tzanzi, who patiently sits next to Yzia and plays with the ifrit's shadowy hair, gives you a quick, knowing glance. Yzia laughs as you give Tzanzi a wry look. “Oh please, after what you did to Yashi you have no place to judge me for being interested in Kteine.”

“And here I was, under the mistaken impression that my mind is unreadable,” Tzanzi murmurs in that sultry, smoky voice of hers.

Yzia leans into Tzanzi's shoulder, and the tableau the trio of them make is gorgeous. “I think that Tzanzi has waited quite long enough. I want to see this happen. In truth this time, not as part of a mindscape crafted by some clever inquisitor.” You hiss at her and she smiles sweetly, while Tzanzi gives her an odd look.

Rana speaks up. “I will weave you the tale, if you wish for it, great warrior,” she offers, and you give her a sharp rasp of annoyance, but don't forbid it. Oh, you could threaten her, perhaps, but you won't forbid her from enacting her free will, as much of it as she possesses. Yzia is snickering at you again and you turn to Jiyua and settle on the cushions to walk to her. She looks up at you, and she flushes faintly, the sight of you wearing little more than glimmering jewels and your own power apparently enticing to her.

“You have partly paid your debt, Jiyua, and I am grateful for that. You are free to leave, for now, and I will look forward to seeing what you have to offer to me next – that being slaves, perhaps, or more services....” She inclines her head, lifting her hand in salute. She seems a little less shaken now, and that is a good sign. “On the other hand, your work has impressed me,” you murmur, touching your cheek. The half-gish looks up startled and a little pleased even. But wary, very wary. Which you do not blame her for.

She should be wary.

[] Offer her a place in your Cadre, knowing that it will make it difficult or even impossible for Yzia to carry you all.
[] Tell her you would like her to replace Falna and Schechei in your cadre.
[] Ask her if she would take on a permanent position as one of your coterie, one of the many who share mutually owed favors.
[] Steal a caress and send her on her way with the mild scare alone.

We probably have to, since we still have one Silver Sword just lying around our room that we need to turn in.

Like if we became a Supreme Leader we could have just given it to Schechei or Kteine, but since that wouldn't have solved the True Silver Sword thing and since we technically haven't yet accepted the position yet, we have to return it to the Smiths.

Ya gotta stop attracting all these Gith Akko, dragon can't keep up!
Undecided between coterie and replacement. Honestly I hate leaving threads unwound but Falna has been quite the obstacle so far and I dunno if we want to risk her on a raid. Plus it'd be kinda funny for the rejections to come full circle, and from her own faults.

Not that it matters too terribly much, but what are her thoughts on all this? (Sense motive)

>Offer her a place in your Cadre, knowing that it will make it difficult or even impossible for Yzia to carry you all.

She has to find her own ride. Not too difficult.

We may yet need to "replace" Falna. Best not to be understaffed.

Besides she did a better job trying to kill us than Falna, and the nameless fool before her.
>>
>>1464597
She is technically a skulker, (being a bard) but her bard archetype is 'Arcane Duelist), which gives her a few of the magus abilities to grant power to her sword and to the weapons of others. She lacks spell combat and spell strike, though she is capable at combat and spellcasting, so Akko considers her only half-gish.
>>
>>1464590

Question: do we need our dragon to carry all of our Cadre? Or is it more a "this is an useful way to go in battle" thing?

>>1464597

Jiuya can use weapons and spells equaly, but she's not a Magus like Akko, meaning they don't have the same spells or class perks.

Akko is very well known in the Stronghold, and has a number of ex-cadre members who owe her, like her, or are willing to trade favors with her. The 'badge' that Akko gave Jiyua allowed those people to recognize Jiyua was working for Akko, and helped her get supplies and materials that she required. These are people that are less than friends, but more than simply other githyanki warriors. Jiyua technically qualifies, in that Akko would like to heal her, and she owes Akko quite a bit still.

Most Leaders and all Supreme Leaders have fairly expansive cotieries.
>>
>>1464610
Usually a dragon prefers to carry the entire cadre, but Falna claimed she would take care of Schechei, herself, and Kteine. Obviously circumstances have changed.

Kteine and Yashi can be carried as one person - if they're very cozy about it (they're delicate things). That was originally how Schechei and Kteine were going to be carried.
>>
>>1464635
Now that I think about it, we were thinking of maybe bringing Cyrillian?

Which reminds me, now that she's conscious and her psyche is theoretically intact, we should maybe take a little time to check up on her?
>>
>>1464648
Okay so adding Jiyua would make it difficult or impossible for Yzia to carry everyone is relying on the assumption that we would want to carry everyone on Yzia, and not let Falna and Schechei travel separately? Like I'm not sure, if Falna doesn't request to leave our service, what motive to we have to not just let her make arrangements for herself and her mate?
>>
>>1464660
I mean, I guess it could further the rift between Falna and the rest of our Cadre, which could negatively impact teamwork?

[XX] Ask her if she would take on a permanent position as one of your coterie, one of the many who share mutually owed favors.
[X] Offer her a place in your Cadre, knowing that it will make it difficult or even impossible for Yzia to carry you all.
[X] Write in? Maintain the Long Game as always, regardless of your remaining in the stronghold or not.

You slowly crouch before her and she looks into your eyes, trepidation and dose of fear mingling in her expression. “You could join my cadre. It would be worth your while, as this is a slave takign mission, and I am generous to my cadre.”

She glances at Yzia, who nods pleasantly, while Tzanzi (who is straddling Rana's bare back and working those powerful fingers into the muscles of the girl's shoulders to soft moans of pleasure) murmurs softly, “I have never had cause to regret serving Akko.”

She looks at you and seems torn. “I will not force you. But if not my cadre, then one of my coterie.” her eyes brighten – that type of offer is mutually beneficial, and cannot be anything but, lest someone complain to the Silver Swords and therefore the Knights. Only a fool or desperate person would dare try to cheat or take too much advantage of someone in such a position. Word travels quickly among telepaths. “I did say that I would heal you of your wounds, and I have wounded you deeply. So, consider this a measure of my repayment for your willingness to remain and risk your life while at our colloquy.”

Her expression blanks, and then Jiyua realizes what you mean – the inquisitor. You smile. “Not that this entirely absolves you of your assassination attempt, mind you.”

“No, Gish Akko, I understand that the debt is imbalanced. But yes, I will accept your badge.” Having her as a deeply indebted member of your coterie will let you keep tabs even if you should need to flee the Stronghold, at least in theory. If you would not have to submit yourself to another Supreme Leader's personal interest, moving to a different stronghold would have been an idea. Too late for that, but leaving Jiyua here to participate in your coterie might be worthwhile in the long run.
>>
“Then you may keep the one I gave you. It will serve to identify you as the others have to you.” There is also the invisible Arcane Mark buried in the flesh of her arm where you stabbed and healed her. That gives you a very powerful target for Scrying, Teleportation, or other spell-work. “You are dismissed, Jiyua.” You rise and she rises as well, but you step into her slightly, letting her body brush along yours intimately.

She shivers and immediately moves back, floating an arm-length away. “Perhaps another time we may speak at length in more intimate surroundings,” you murmur with a smile, making her flush again, though her expression is more confusion than anything else. Her fear makes her desires difficult to cope with, but it is gratifying that you can manage some progress at least. With a polite salute, she turns, giving you her back in acknowledgement of your superior combat skills, and leaves.

Siobhan giggles and conjures a shimmering curtain of opaque silvery material, some kind of silver-cloth that covers the doorway to your cell. Yashi is speaking with Kteine, and your slaves – all three, interestingly enough – are once more gathering food, alchemics, and drink, while Yzia busily kisses Rana, and Tzanzi stretches rather becomingly.

What's confusing anon? You scheme, you flirt, you raid, you bite, you fight and you absolutely don't fall in love. Simple!
>>
[XX] Teasing Tzanzi into another mindless assault might be fun....painful, but fun.
[X] Write in? Yzia might want to watch, but this is something that Tzanzi desires more than most would dare....

Despite Tzanzi's apparent ease with the others – and perhaps because you are not entirely sure how much the others recall the very vivid fantasies you have about the female in question, though you would never dare admit as much – it is to her that you leave the choice of allowing an audience to her marking of you.

You also recall that you are now capable of strengthening your mystic bracers and the protections they provide. The memory of her slowly biting through that defense is very vivid in your mind currently, which is not really a surprise.

Walking towards Tzanzi slowly immediately catches the interest of the others, particularly Yashi and Yzia. You take a deep breath, knowing that this comes with some element of risk, and not merely because it's acknowledgement that you are more than merely friends. You may not be mates, cannot be mates, but Tzanzi is your friend, and that carries perhaps more meaning to you than mating might with another. She watches you and slowly unbuckles her breeches as you move towards her, apparently unconcerned about whether or not you have an audience. She slips free of them, 'levitating' as she lifts her legs to strip off the short boots and tight leather alike, her loincloth shimmering in the same manner as the black material of her half tunic.

You slow even further, taking time to admire her graceful movements and sleek tone. Taller and more muscular than you, she is nonetheless both beautiful ad alluring. Her thick and very long hair cascades along her body as she reasserts gravity to match yours. Her tunic comes off easily, and the braids at the back of her neck she unties from her hair, letting them fall in dark ropes along her back and bottom under the cloak of her free hair. Idly you wonder if she might let you have one of them to enchant in some manner or another.
>>
She smiles, and you feel heat flash through your body; only Yzia looks at you with such raw, naked lust, though Siobhan protests that she desires you just as much. Reassuring your lover-blade that she will have her chance later, you take Tzanzi's extended hand and move close, your larger breasts sliding below hers as you lean your head back to accept a lingering kiss. Your hand slips to her waist and you undo the loincloth, baring Tzanzi for all to see; you move closer, and feel a surprising smoothness between her legs, much like your own.

“That is different,” you admit, the sensation peculiar to feel reciprocated; you wonder whom did the duty.

“I thought I might indulge your own peculiarity for my own pleasure,” she purrs softly, making you shudder as she nibbles your neck. “Take them off.”

At first you don't quite understand what she means.

“Take them off,” she repeats, tapping your delicate glass and jeweled bracers. “All of them.”

The idea of being utterly defenseless save your magic before Murderer Tzanzi, who has proven your defenses inadequate before, is a terrifying sort of thought.

Oh, the alien culture isn't really confusing, you made it coherent and it makes sense internaly as to why it'd be like that. Issue is that it's kind of hard to determine what choices are appropriate in which context, and the context itself can be kinda... blurry I suppose.

Tzanzi may not be my favorite not-waifu for Akko (dragon a best) but she sure has the hottest dynamic with her

One is playful, the other challenging. Both are teasing, just in different ways. Tzanzi has experienced both from Akko before.

No choice is bad for this section, as sex with Tzanzi is inevitable as was implied in the original votes for what scenes were wanted at the party. Only the type of resulting sexual interaction is different.

You lean into her, your hands sliding down her back, to cup her extremely firm derrière as you tilt your head so that you may slowly lick at the throbbing artery in her neck with a delicate tracery of tongue to skin. The words come out as breath, barely audible, though in the rather intense silence that has descended upon your Cell they can be clearly heard. “And if I do not, what then?”

Tzanzi's hands slide through your hair, caressing your scalp slowly, and you shiver delicately against her. “I was under the impression that you desired this very badly, Akko....perhaps I was mistaken?”

….

Certainly you discussed this. And you used this very fact to incite a mad lust upon Tzanzi when Yashi thought that teasing you was a good idea. But this is far too blatant a shift in her temper. The cold flash that shoots through your body isn't lust at all, but you draw your nails quite hard along Tzanzi's derrière, making her gasp loudly as you very nearly break skin. “Regardless of who she is owned by,” you tell Tzanzi with unnecessary volume, “I think that Rana now belongs to me, so that I may suitably demonstrate my ire to her at some later date.”

Yashi stares at you, while Yzia makes a soft noise of amused awe and distinct pleasure, while Rana looks quite alarmed. Auena glances at Rana and murmurs “I warned you against it,” very softly, having been witness first hand at how final your decisions tend to be where it concerns your personal life.

Tzanzi's eye is glittering with amusement as well as desire and her hands slowly slip down to your neck. She wraps her fingers about the torc which toughens skin and fortifies mind and body. The powerful warrior slowly bends the ends away from each other, opening it as it is designed to be opened. You feel the magics slowly dissipate in your skin, body and spirit; one layer of defense gone as she drops the torc into the Astral Fundament. “And what, pray tell will you tell her father when he demands his entertaining little slave back?”

You lift your hands and slowly take off her half mask, unconcerned by what the others may think. Tzanzi does not seem to care either, her smile still present, and her eye upon your lips. “I will tell him he should have taught his slave better than to spill my secrets,” you murmur softly, her warm, calm gaze and your anger countering any embarrassment you might feel. “Now I am tempted to refuse just to see where you will take this topic of conversation,” you murmur moodily, as her smile widens, the tips of her spurs barely showing.

She turns her head to whisper in your ear, her hands sliding down to your hips. “Take them off, Akko, because if you do not, I will nail you to the wall by your wrists and ankles through those lovely decorations of yours, and cut you open so that I can bite your beating heart.”

The flush of heat that washes through your body is commingled terror and desire. You're not built to enjoy that level of pain, much less torture, but by the Dead Gods she makes it sound like a pleasure. The tiny whistle of fear in your voice isn't entirely false. “Tzanziiieee....I have not enough Devil's Blood to manage such a wound! I dare not take so much healing time as all that; Dunzamn would be displeased at a Leader shirking him so....” You make a soft, shocked chirp as her hand moves between your legs, her fingers plunging into your heat and her nails digging into the tender inner flesh, writhe in pain-pleasure and nearly gush sexual fluids.

“Akko,” she hisses between her bared teeth into your ear, “do I sound like someone who is playing at this moment?” Her fingers move, pressing, spreading, and you clutch at her back, nails digging in fiercely.

[X] Now acquiesce willingly!

You shudder and write under her grasp, her other hand sliding up your back to tangle in your hair again. You arch your back as she presses that trio of fingers even deeper inside, touching you in places most others don't dare try for. “AHN! T-Zan-Tzi!” Her name comes out as a plea, and she looks you in the eyes with her one good eye, and smiles wickedly. She slips her fingers free of you and paints your lips with your own oils, as you pant softly, your legs shaking so badly you're fairly certain that if gravity was anything but how you willed it, you would be collapsed at her feet.

“I have been waiting for this too long,” she whispers softly, before she licks your lips. You lick the underside of her tongue as it passes along your upper lip and she accepts the invitation, kissing you and sharing your taste with you. You tremble in her arms as she strokes your body slowly. You work the fastenings of your bracers, and let them tumble away from you, before you lift each leg in turn, to remove the ankle-cuffs from them, letting the last of your magical protections fall away from you.

Shivering you lean back, letting her see that you have foregone the last of your personal defenses at her demand. “I do not think I have been his vulnerable in decades, merciless fiend,” you murmur softly, your ands moving to cup her breasts, her nipples lightly squeezed between your fingers. The murderess sighs softly, looking into your face, her expression warm and pleased. Her expression makes you embarrassingly giddy for having put it there.

You lean in slowly and kiss her throat, licking the warmth of her skin and imagining the actinic taste of her blood in your mouth, likening it to yours in hers. The power fantasies the inquisitor fed you return, and you shiver, recalling that more than all that power, more than all that sorcerous might, the feel of Tzanzi coming for you as you tore into her soft flesh is what made it real.

Tzanzi traces you curves slowly, draws lines with her nails along your sides, your hips. She slips her moistened fingers behind you and you tense a little as she touches you in a rather perverse manner from behind, and you pull back slightly so you can look at her face. “If you wish to do that, Tzanzi, you will need more than a little of my moisture on your fingers,” you tell her mildly. The chorus of gasps, titters, and amused chuckles that erupt from around you reminds you that you have an audience. Nevertheless, you look into that warm, brown eye and that cold brown eye, your offer sincere.
>>
Smiling at you, her other hand caresses your cheek, cups it, and you close your eyes and sigh, shivering in anticipation of a sudden attack. “Do you know you are the only one who looks at me in that manner?” she whispers, her breath hot along your neck.

You don't open your eyes, and instead lick the join of shoulder to neck, your legs wrapping about her waist as you massage her breasts firmly. “....what manner?” you ask absently, a little bemused.

The words are a soft, breathy whisper, her lips barely caressing the serrated edge of your ear. “As though I am not crippled,” she confides....before she buries all four of her spurs in the softness of the place that you just licked upon her.

The whistling shriek is inevitable and you press your body against hers, your nails digging into her breasts hard enough to draw blue furrows in her skin. She moves against you, sliding her body along yours, her hand moving further beneath you to slip fingers inside your tight, clenched sex, her other hand cradling your head, keeping you there for her. She bites hard until you can feel her teeth bruising your skin. Gasping you let her hold you so, allow her the full measure of her pleasure. Your pleasure.

You mutual desire.

[] Bite back now.
[] Ease her into pleasure.
[] Tell her she never has been crippled in your eyes.
[] Tell her to do it again.
[] Write in?

Was honestly surprised she didn't assert herself by going in dry after that exchange.

[X] Tell her she never has been crippled in your eyes.
[XX] Tell her to do it again.
[X] Write in? She slaughtered an enclave, how 'crippled' could Tzanzi be?

You desperately try and control your breathing, attempting to relax before you harm either yourself or her by accident as opposed to on purpose. Well, you already have, really, but she should have expected it. And most likely did. You force yourself into slow, deep breaths, and that lets her fingers slip more easily inside you, while her spurs slowly relent, leaving you bleeding and bruised, but not torn.

Sliding your hand into her hair, you nuzzle your friend lovingly, placing soft kisses on her cheek and ear, shaking from the rush of adrenaline and pleasure and intense pain. “You are Tzanzi, legend and murderer of an entire enclave of the enemy. How crippled can you possibly be?” She shudders and you feel the oily sting of her blood along your breasts from the scratches you inflicted. Your other hand searching, finds hers and you clasp it tightly as you tilt your head, offering the wounded flesh to her.

“Now....again,” you whisper, as you bare your own spurs.

She doesn't have to be asked twice.

>To Be Continued....

Thank you for reading and playing.

Net result....well, anon is going to get his wish about Tzanzi breaking off a spur. Kteine and Auena are going to get an education in githyanki mating rituals, and Yzia is going to need attending to as well.

One last scen for the party, and then it will be the meetign with the other raiders.

At that point you will be expected to make decisions on who to deploy how, whether you want to keep Falna and Schechei on, and which group you will take on first, Humans or Elves.

Of course, the Akko's Research scene will be just as interesting as this one I hope.

Also, the character sheet has been close to updated.

Thanks for running! After the rollercoaster of tension and revelations of power, it's nice to give our cadre a show to enjoy that isn't a malevolent illusion.

Also, despite something very similar to this being the initial subject of that mental attack, it's nice to see Akko still enjoying the pleasure of ceding control like this.

...I forget, do spurs grow back?

Yes, they do.

Also yay, knowledge!

And after that, do we have to turn in that Silver Sword?

Thanks for writing XS, lovely ending

It's not pressing - she can do it before or after the conclave.

And to answer another anon's question form a while back, the potential to make Siobhan into a True Silver sword is possible, though not necessarily easy nor without risks. there is also the possibility of by passing that and simply making Siobhan an artifact weapon of her own. Akko possess the powers and skillset to do either one, with some research.

What a coincidence, she's planning on doing some research soon.

Thanks for running XS.

Most of the stuff on the poll is close to done now? So raiding soon?
>>
>>1465137
Good to hear we have some options. Artifact weapon sounds like an interesting approach. I'm looking forward to seeing what kinda info we can glean on these ideas next time.
>>
>>1465138
That is correct.

One scene left, along with some attendant happenings, then the Smiths and conclave, last minute preparation, and then raiding. Akko will have one more chance to change her spells and prepare magics before leaving.

I like how Akko is walking a very fine line just short of a (detestable) loving relationship.

I do hope that spur gets broken off and left in. But I would dearly love to know what Yzia thinks about all of this. Not that Akkos going to be in a sense motive position for a while.

As for Rana, I hope her punishment will be suitably epic. Just because Akko did want this is no excuse to meddle. Damn meddling wish crafters.

Also looking forward to someone breaking in Auena. If she makes it the entire raid virginal and unsullied it will mean Yzia died in the first few seconds. I'm half tempted to present her oiled, nude, and perfumed atop a hill sized pile of Gold and treasure. But that might tempt Yzia to think more highly of Auena. Hmmm, better have Akko present herself right alongside. And any really attractive Elves we steal. And the attractive humans. Maybe we'll run into a Nymph. What I'm getting at is Yzia an insatiable sex/treasure monster. And I for one wouldn't have it any other way.

The thing that confuses me is if we make Siobhan a True Silver Sword, or an Artifact Weapon on a level beyond that, will the Githyanki accept that when matched with the station Vermithrax gave, or is that one of the most heretical things a Githyanki can do that don't have to do with Illithids and Githzerai?

Like, what's Akko's best guess since this seems like a fairly unprecedented situation?
>>
>>1465159
Akko doesn't have a best guess. It is, as you say, an unprecedented situation as far as she knows. She could be mistaken, and she suspects that Vermithrax is playing his own game, but to her knowledge there are no cases of elder Power being exhibited in recent knowledge, and she has never heard tell of a True Silver Sword - or even a Silver Sword - beign forged outside the knowledge of the Smiths.

That said, she does know that Githzerai can make silver Swords, but they cannot make True Silver Swords. that alone tells her there is some secret beyond the pale that is required for the forging of a silver Sword, but that it is possible to duplicate with relative ease, while the secrets of making a True Silver Sword are not possible to glean so easily. The fact that the githzerai make Silver Swords and go to as great legnths to retrieve them as the githyanki do tells her that the making of them is known to githzerai, and they aren't stolen weapons.

She is curious as to what the differences may be as well, but not so curious that she's going to go steal one without being prepared for a massive retaliation.
>>
>>1465171
How does someone become a Silver Smith to start with? Like earlier in her career, could Akko have become one if she wished?

Or is that too kept as a secret?
>>
>>1465179
As Akko understands it, it is a life-long obligation that one decides upon when one is capable of crafting magic arms and armor and has either magical or psionic talents to back it up with. Most gish are capable of choosing that route, but it's a one-way door, as she understands it.

That doesn't mean she can't learn enough to figure the trick out on her own. It's entirely possible that if anyone ever figures out who intelligent she truly is, she's going to the list of vanished people immediately as opposed to soon.
>>
>>1465102
Thanks for running.
>>
Man, I guess it might just be the pain thing, but I really do like Yzia more than Tzanzi
>>
>>1466266

Tzanzi's good, but it's true I enjoy Akko interracting with Yzia a bit more.

But it's pretty clear Akko loves Yzia, if in a very non-Githyanki way.
