You frown, well your out of clorth to make a second and its not too bad looking...

It's pretty cool actually! You look like some sorceress from Lukewarm Heraldic Ensignia. You think you can wear it... You flip open your holo, you know its almost mothers day so the very least you can do is call her.

The holo flickers as you stare at your mothers face, long pale hair held perfeclt as the woman sighs, one of those fancy cigerrette holders in her mouth.

"Hello Gurie, how are you." The woman says sighing as you hear something... screamish from the holotransciever, Tallie aka your mom, turns behind her. "Gyro Ball" You hear a crash and the sound of breaking metal.

"So anyway how are you doing?" Your mom says as you frown.

"Um... is this a bad time?" You ask as your Mom tilts her head, a brief whizzing sound heard.

"If it was would I have answered?" Tallie said as you think you hear a chocked sob. "It's not important."

You decide you should probably warn your innkeeper, you motion to Carl to follow you as you head to the hall.

"Oh hey Gurie." Mrs Nyarth says. "What is the matter?" She says cocking her eyebrow.

"Um... My mom is visiting and I'm worried shes a little intense."

Mrs Nyarth chuckles. "Oh dear I've dealt with all kinds. I'm sure we can handle anyone, what is she a gym leader?"

You smile. "Oh okay then, but no shes not a gym leader shes just a police detective. Officer Tallie Niamic."

Nyarth leaps from her chair, hiding behind her desk. "TALLIE? Steeltoe Tallie?" She says poking her head up. "She's the toughest officer in the business. I've heard her Steelix eats trains for breakfast."

You frown. "That's not true, Sherman only gets up at two."

Nyarth whimpers as you turn to Carl. You must admit he's taking the whole thing rather well, all stotic.

Carl collapses, his cowboy body limp on the couch. "It's over, they gonna take me to the hooscow." He mutters as you continue to frown.

"Guys please don't cry in front of my mom its embarassing." You say without any trace of irony. "I was just trying to warn you ahead of time, I still need to figure out a nice present for her."

You deciede the best thing to do was get to stitching something simple as Carl and Mrs Nyarth decide to make their way up Route 18 to... look for pokemon! That's how Ms Nyarth used it, pause and everything. Carl just sortof got dragged off in a deadman's shuffle.

You get to stitching and you make your mother her own Epaulette, silver trim dangling from the weird millitary shouldar pat things with the old Niamic crest sewed in purple.

By the time the work is finished you hear the rumbling that implies a train is heading over.

You promised icecream and Ice cream it is! You mom is a lot like the pokemon she uses, once shes set on something that's it. It's writ in iron.

You look around and find a branch of Pryce Creamery set up in the fancy hotel.

Pryce, who is apperantly this old guy in johto, managed to make big with ice cream, turns out living near a huge ranch and being able to easily freeze things gives you a edge on these matters.

Who would've guessed.

You walk through the doors, a bell chiming as you walk into the small parlor. Pryce Creamery has this weird selling point where no matter how many they are, each one has this sortof hole in the wall feel.

Also the first one was originally a souvenir shop that the Rockets used as a front for illegal evolution experiments but we don't talk about that.

Regardless of the vague mob ties, the place is homely, the walls covered in that stuff diners have... you know stuff. Whatever they found that was local. Anything. you see a piece of railway hanging from the ceiling as a chandelier, there are pictures of the local pokeschool soccer team, and at least five hollowed out pokeballs.

It's a little much for you but in your increasingly absurdly large list of things you are good at, interior design is nowhere on there so who are you to judge?

The woman at the counter smiles at you... wait... you recognize that smile.

"It's you." The cotton candy lady whispers. "That girl who fainted in the festival."

"I'd rather not talk about that." You say as you had up to the counter. "I'll just like to order some ice cream please."

You frown. "Can I have a salac sorbert for myself, large and with toasted coconut and for my mom how about... a nanab split with choclate, coffee, and of course vanilla, toasted almonds, and... just in case throw in a pecha milkshake."

The woman, to her credit doesn't even blink. "Would you like to try our new polar pizza?" She asks as you raise a eyebrow.

"Polar pizza?" You say as she points to the freezer.

"Yes ma'am it's a giant cookie with icecream and toppings on it. Its the anti pizza." She says as you nod.

That DOES sound nice... "I think we'll just order more when we are done with what we have." You say as the woman nods and hands you your receipt.

"Coming right up miss." She says as she wanders away.

You look at the list of icecreams. "Is there anything here that is good for pokemon?" You ask as the lady smiles.

A few minutes later you are outside the store your mother tapping her boots into the floor impatiently as you hand her the overladen sundae.
