New players are always welcome!

In this quest you assume the role of an aspiring student who is about to enter the Mageknight Academy. You must hone your skills, make some friends (and perhaps also some enemies) and fight battles in order to prove yourself worthy of graduating as a fully fledged Mageknight! Each year (every 100th turn) your character will be tested by the academy to see if your character is progressing well and meeting the Academy's high standards. After the 3rd year your character will head off into a their first mission for a final test.

How to Join:
New players must fill out their character sheets. The sheet must include the following information:
>Anyone can join at any time. Latecomers and laggers are given bonus action points to catch up with the other players.
1) Your character's full name
2) Your character's backstory, appearance and any other useful information.
3) You are given 3 Skill Points. Choose 1 starting spell and 2 other skills or spells.

How to Play:
1) Each turn you will be given 2 [Action Points]. Post your character sheet and your chosen actions along with a 2d100 roll.
>Normally your roll must pass the [Difficulty Challenge] of 25 in order to succeed.
>Getting a 10 and below is a [Critical Failure] while 91 and above is a [Critical Success]
2) All players must wait for the "TURN GO" post before submitting any actions posts. After which you must post your actions only to that post.
3) After all actions are processed and a new turn begins, update your character sheet.

Acquiring and Improving Spells & Skills:
1) Study, research, explore, train or take classes to discover and learn new spells.
2) Training an already learned spell or skill will raise it further to the next tier once enough [Progress Points] are accumulated.
4) The progress threshold is based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,2,3,5,8,...)
>Usually Spell and Skill tiers are named as Basic => Intermediate => Advanced => Expert => Master
>Alternatively you can label the tiers as T1, T2, T3 and so on.

Spellcrafting:
Spellcrafting involves fusing spells with various skills, knowledge and even other spells that your character has learned together creating a new spell or skill.
>The name of the resulting new spell will be determined by the QM. By default it will be "Cast A B C..."
>Your dice roll will affect the result of the spellcrafting. Lower rolls will result in weaker or negative version of the intended spell and vice versa.

Social Interactions:
1) Role playing with other players is a free action. Role playing with NPCs, however, will cost an action point to do so.
2) Collaborative Player-to-Player actions like trading, tutoring and PvP, will cost an action point to do so.

Combat:
1) Post 2 actions like you normally would. Your opponent will roll their own 2 actions.
2) To defeat your opponent, you must overcome their defensive or evasion roll and vice versa
>If you have not rolled an evasion or defensive roll then your opponent must pass normal DC to hit you and vice versa.
>If both combatants attacked successfully then it's a Double KO.
>If both combatants defended successfully then it's a Stalemate.

The invasion has begun. Demons emerge from the underworld in an attempt to attack Amsterdam en masse. Amsterdam has begun evacuating their civilians, transferring them to neighboring countries. It is likely that your families are a part of these evacuations.


Principal Katherine has advised everyone to transfer to the Mageknight Academy of Madrid as soon as possible, especially the first years. There is a high chance that a demon horde will attempt to take over Amsterdam. The reason for this remains unknown for now. Transportation will be done via teleportation.


The Holy Order arrived to the school and they started to reinforce the academy’s walls. Many of them say that this may be their last battle. Everyday they go out looking for survivors, and they come back with less people than they started with.

To everybody’s relief, a pair of students have returned to school grounds after they went missing for almost two weeks. Principal urges everyone to not to get careless like these two around times like these.

[=== Regarding the Transfer===]

As you may already know, the Mageknight Academy of Amsterdam has begun to slow down to the point of stopping. There are several factors as to why this is the case. Firstly, the previous Amsterdam QMs have left, prompting other QMs to pick up the slack. Secondly, the current Amsterdam QMs are overworked, as they must now compensate for the loss. Thirdly, the playerbase in Amsterdam is less than half of that of Madrid. With all of the new players joining Madrid instead of Amsterdam, the school has become somewhat separated. The QMs have convened several times on this, and we’ve decided to give the school a proper goodbye.

As per the event, Amsterdam will be attacked by a horde of demons. It will eventually be overwhelmed and overtaken by demonic forces. Mageknights are working together to stem the tide, but these demons are powerful and numerous. Anyone(player characters included) who stays behind will be considered dead or missing.

However, we know how much time some of you have put into your characters. We also know that simply closing the school and removing these characters would be more than a little discouraging. Thus, this transfer will be a little different from usual. Firstly, transferring is a free action. Secondly, you don’t need to convince NPCs to go with you, as they will automatically move to Madrid with you(unless they are school faculty, in which case, they will require convincing). Thirdly, Reputation will carry over to Madrid, fluffed as being known among the other Amsterdam students.

Perhaps after some time has passed, when we have more QMs and players, we can begin the Crusade for Amsterdam, in which the school will reopen. For now however, we will be closing the school. We thank everyone who has participated so far. Whether you choose to transfer, or make a new character entirely, we hope to see you in Madrid.

A sudden sense of nostalgia invades your mind as you think about your more distant family members. In your childhood you haven't met too many kids of your age due to homeschooling and your strict parents. Sometimes your cousins from different branches visited over and you made precious memories with them. There was a single girl standing out from the crowd of cousins though. Her name was Dorothy Cnidus. The Cnidus family specializes in Information gathering and Divination magic they are also good detectives and are very prestigious. You shed a smile if you think about how you two used to outwit your preceptors and your siter. You two were close maybe a bit too close for cousins. But everyone makes mistakes especially when they are young. Curiosity took the better of both of you and you try to not remember it as a good memory. You reach out to your phone to call Dorothy, you haven't heard of her in ages. But before you reach out your phone starts to ring. Dorothy is calling you. When you pick up you hear a thin and weak girly voice “ Hallo Aine! Were you thinking of me?” *girly giggling* What the hell? She explains it to you that she can sense it when a relative thinks about her it's some sort of divination stuff. You talk with her for about 20-30 minutes and you find you that she already has many achievements as a divination mage and she is doing very well although she is concerned about her wedding coming next year. It’s merely diplomatic marriage she doesnt wants, but willing to do it for her father. When you ask her if she could visit, her voice grows dark. “That would be unwise… I can sense a great danger in your future. I already told your father, but he said not to tell you about it, he said this event will decide if he raised a fool or someone worthy of the Boros name.” Her voice changes to worried. “Promise me you won't do anything stupid… please come home Aine! I… We miss you! “ You can't help but promise her to calm her down. Soon you put down the phone and feel a heavy aura around you, you can't shake off the feeling that something bad will happen to you soon.

You lock the door to your room and make sure you are not bothered while you are in the process of making this beauty. Elements are shifting around you and they start to form a Visor made of Iron. Coal is mixed into it to create a more durable alloy. As you create the smaller mechanical bits you realize that your room starts to run out of oxygen. You open the window, but you feel dizzy. When the parts are ready you start to assemble the bits. Some of the bits wont fit and you recreate them swiftly, it makes you think how complex this thing is. When both the gauntlets and visor are ready you try to enchant it, but the thing is not coming to life. You realize you are out of mana.

Gain [Gloves and Visor] (feel free to name it). For now it is just a non-magical armor piece granting you an extra T1 of armor and it looks nerdy. You can enchant this with another action to finish inventing every nerd’s wet dream.

A small portion of your magic power still won’t go through it despite you clearly made sure that the suit recognizes your magic. You wonder why and come to the conclusion that even if some people are capable to harness magical powers this power maybe still comes from some sort of higher being or maybe god itself and we mere mortals are just borrowing this force to make wonders. The DC to cast a spell while you are under the Anti-Magic Ward effect has been decreased to 26 (25+1)

Fortunately for you these RC plane schematics are all over the internet. You dont know much about plane designs but you make up for it with your confidence. A small electrical engine will move the plane made out of tin foil and cardboard. It has to be light to fly well. You attach a proximity sensor and WP pack with fuse to its nose. If the sensor notices anything directly in front of it, the WP explodes.

As you approach the evacuation point for pets and animals, you meet a faculty member with a lots of animals. She is trying to convince the bus driver that she could evacuate on the same bus as the animals are. The driver gives a questioning look, but agrees with her. When you walk up to her she introduces herself as Selene, the magical beasts teacher. You ask her if she could take care of Mercy on the road. Selene gives you a bright smile “ Of course I can! “

You take a small stroll through the Campus. It's weird seeing the campus as a battle field, with all the Holy Order members running around getting ready for the upcoming invasion. As you walk your mind drifts around in Memory Lane about all your good experiences in the Amsterdam Academy. You take a deep sigh as you pass in front of the Library and think about Ginny. Would she be able to endure this hell¿

As you enter the library you see that Ginny is helping various members of the Holy Order at once to get the books that their need. She is running back and forth and even using the [Book Return Carts] as a way to move faster around the Library. She gives you a hand gesture that means “just a second” as she flies away with a pretty hefty stack of books from the [Forbidden Section].

You do your best to try to convince her to come to Madrid with you. Explain that she will be safer there. But she says that her duty is with the Library. And that she will go down with this Library if it's necessary. You understand and give her a hug.

You sign up and start with the packing of your belongings. You notice how much stuff you made and you decide to donate some older prototypes to the Holy Order to help them in the cause.

You find Carol on the school rooftop. She’s holding a strange white rifle with the Holy Order emblem engraved to the stock. She’s holding her breath and you attempt to get closer without breaking her concentration, but the sound of your steps on the roof made her react in a way you never saw coming. In less time that it took you to blink, she already had turned around and had a small handgun pointing at your face. “For the Lord's sake Numbers, you scared me. Don’t do that ever again, unless you want a hole in your head.” She apologizes and explain her duties as a reserve sniper for the school. The strange rifle is modified to shoot blessed bullets and they are almost a guaranteed kill and smite.

You have a brief chat about the Transfer and she tells you that she’s ready, but she will be one of the last students to leave. “I want to help this school as much as it has helped me. You are one of the only members of the Club that is still here. Would you like to help me out? I can teach you some special things about being a Sniper.” And so you accept. You spend until the next morning out there on the roof with Carol helping her with headshots and cover fire for the demons that tried to sneak into the Academy.

When you arrive an older-looking man with a Holy Order uniform tells you: “Kid, we need you to guard the Beasts trailer while we load it up.” So while you wait, you hear the desperate cries of a woman and a lot of puppies crying. Sure, nothing else happens during your watch. But you learn how to watch and care for suspicious movements. After your time it’s over, you swap places with a Holy Order soldier.

She’s in her room right now. And you decide to join her, but you know that the Female Dorms are on the other side of Campus. A long and possibly dangerous trip.

Inside the Academy is relatively safe, but you decide to not keep your guard down about any incoming threat. The Knights of the Underworld are laying siege on Amsterdam and having your guard down could potentially be lethal. So equipped with your ModGun in Shotgun mode, you walk through the Academy on the way to Carol.

During your walk, you notice how the Library is bustling with civilians, tents and families. You recognize a few faces from when you used to roam freely into town. You see the old lady from the grocery store and the mustachio’d man that sells you raw materials for your projects. You smile to see that they are safe.

A howling rips through the relative peace inside the Academy and you notice a small army of undeads trying break in through the fences keeping the Academy safe. With your trusty shotgun you mow down rows of undeads. You know that undeads and civilians don’t mix up well and you know that right now you are the only line of defense. In the first moment you can, you radio up for reinforcements.

You meet up with Carol on the Outside of the female dormitories. She’s helping a few third graders to Ward up the Building with Holy Protections Spells and Wards. “Numbers, we need you guard while we are put the final locks on the first floor.” You stay guarding with the entrance of the building and doing a few rounds when you start to hear a galloping sound coming towards you. Before you even have time to react, you get slashed by a Undead Commander’s Axe. You shoot a few rounds as he’s galloping away, but he turns into smoke before you could even put a bullet in his demon skull.

Carol and the other third graders found you passed out under a bush. They tend to your wound and take you to bustling Nurse Office. They manage to quickly patch up but the Holy Order Nurse that help you recommends you to move. You are no longer in condition to fight at the moment. Carol says that if she will take care of your stuff. Also she’s crying and repeatedly saying sorry for not being with you.

After your adventure with the Naginata, you decide to practice blacksmithing. You don’t care about the newly imposed rules. You are a student and you still need to learn about things. But with the Blacksmith Workshop packed with people mending their weapons, accidents are a real possibility. A Holy Order Soldier’s red hot sword slips from his hand and lands on your leg. The blade burns quickly through your blacksmithing gear and pants. You notice that the blade has several runes and you recognize a few of them like [Holy] and [Fire].
