Desoleum is burning and it’s all because of you. After a month of planning, you swiftly disposed of the Planetary Governor and the bearer of the title Lady Desoleum. It was almost comically easy for you to do so. You didn’t dwell on it though. You had much grander plans and greater concerns that merited your full attention.

The first of which was Feva’s new arm. She’ll require training from the ground up in order to use it effectively in conjunction with the new, daemon-forged chain spear you gave her. You imagine this will take up most of your time on the way to the Feral World of Enkidu aboard the Soul Inferno. Only around 150 cultists made it aboard the Inferno before the ship made the jump into the Warp, so you have to use each and every one of them effectively. Whether or not you’ll actually get off the boat at Enkidu is something you’re still debating, though.

The second (and perhaps most important) concern was the “invitation” from an individual who identified themselves as Usha. The note you received through your chain of command was fairly simple: You were to meet this Usha in a certain cargo bay at a certain time. You opted to go alone, as requested. Upon arrival, you found yourself opposite a feathered daemon of Tzeentch.

Usha’s purpose for this meeting was short and sweet: Whoever won a duel in hand to hand combat would bow their head to the other. But there’s no way you’ll lose, right?

If you’re a die-hard lover of canon, I suggest you turn away now. Like all things 40k, the gauntlet runs from “worshiping the printed, grimdark word” to “over the top silliness.” Most of the time it’s somewhere in between. Others it swerves hard to one side and/or breaks this model entirely. You’ve been warned in advance. I do try to keep things fairly reasonable though.

Alternatively, if you’re not at all familiar with canon or want more details on something, just ask! You don’t need to have played the original Khornette Quest to play and enjoy this one. I’m sure someone (or I) will explain any cameos that come up if you’re lost.

All rolls go against a specified characteristic in the style of Black Crusade. You’ll want to roll under the characteristic value in order to pass the check. The more degrees of success (every multiple of 10 counts as 1), the more awesome of a result. A 1 or an 8 is a guaranteed success, and a 100 is a guaranteed failure. NPCs I roll for only crit succeed/fail on a 1 or a 100.

Best of three rolls when it’s called for, with a 1, 8, or a 100 instantly taking precedence. If multiple characteristics are being rolled for each 1d100 counts for its respective test. Any rolls prior to the call for one and those not linking said post will be ignored.

I realize that /qst/ is much slower than /tg/ ever was, but I’d like to keep things moving. Voting windows will be a maximum of twenty to thirty minutes after the first vote. Same goes for dice rolling. This week we’re going to be running Wednesday (tonight), Friday, and Sunday.

Since we’re fighting another daemon to start things off, remember that you get a +5 bonus to all DCs during the fight thanks to your Malice blood! Try to keep me honest, though I’ll do my best to make sure the +5 is included.

That’s it housekeeping-wise for now. Onto the quest!

Usha nods and hops down from atop her seat on the stack of crates. Her wings flare and slow her down just enough that she alights gracefully. “All is according to plan. Now then, to business.” With a snap of her fingers, her fists become balls of raging infernos. The right burns a bright blue, while the left is a simmering red. She raises them up in front of her and takes on an offensive stance. “The deal is thus: If you beat me, I shall join your little party. If I beat you, you’ll become my little errand girl.”

“As if I’d lose to a daemon like you,” you spit. Though you are slightly amused. A Tzeentchean daemon that prefers to fight with her fists over her sorcery? It’s almost unheard of. Either you’ve walked into a very good trap, or there’s something greater at play here.

“Ah, but the fates will it!” she cries.

Typical Tzeetchean, you think. I’m sure if I don’t shut her up fast she’ll use every opening to claim every blow and counterblow is by some grand design.

The two of you glare at one another, the tension thicker than a Rhino’s armor. Then you both move at the same time…

You opt to rush at Usha, closing the gap between the two of you before she can properly react. By the time she starts to throw a flaming right hook, you’re already bringing up your left fist right into her stomach. The impact’s effect is extremely noticeable. Usha sputters as the wind is knocked out of her. Her blow sails wildly off to the right, missing you completely. So powerful is your punch (or perhaps because Usha doesn’t have the best constitution in the world) that you lift her up off the floor by an inch or two.

To her credit, Usha doesn’t stay flummoxed for long. Her wings flare out to either side and beat once, sending her backwards away from you. She uses the momentum to land and press up against a wall of crates, her feet sticking to it and defying gravity. With one hand on the floor, she looks up at you with a wild grin.

“It was foretold that you would land the first blow,” she cries. “But that will be the only one! You cannot defy fate!”

It seems you're not quite fast enough to sidestep her attack. Your follow-up grapple's pretty good though.

Lemme just do Usha's opposed grapple test here and I'll start writing.
>>
>>1445691
“Fate is meant to be broken” you reply. “Those who cling to it are weak and restrained by it. One must seize their own destiny through their will or else they will stagnate.”

“Deny it all you like, but you are fated to lose this fight!” She really seems fixated on this whole Fate thing. Typical Tzeentchean, you suppose.

With all the grace of a leaping lion, Usha launches off of the crates at you. In the time it takes you to blink, she’s covered a little more than half the distance. You prepare to dodge out of the way, only to realize all too late that this time you’re the slow one. Usha’s burning fist strikes your left side as you fail to move out of the way in time. It’s like being hit by an overloading plasma iron. You’re temporarily knocked off balance as jets of pain emanate from where she hit you. Said pain rages like a wildfire, searing your nerves, muscles, and skin (-5 wounds).

You’re not about to let Usha get away scot-free, though. You lash out with your arms and your tail in an attempt to grab hold of and grapple her. But both of your extensions grasp nothing but air. Usha soars past you unhindered to land sideways on the crate stack opposite where she started.

“Starting to believe me now?” she sneers.

“Never,” you snarl back.

“A pity. The lesson shall continue then.”

She readies herself for another drive-by punching. This time, you…

...square up your stance and prepare to meet Usha halfway. The very instant she starts to move, so do you. The two of you scream through the air at one another, and you meet in a great clash. Usha’s hits aren’t as powerful as the first was, nor do they hurt as bad (-2 wounds). The benefits of being hit once and subsequently becoming angry means you can mostly ignore such blows and dish out the pain twice as hard.

You return Usha’s flurry with one of your own. But you only land a few hits. She’s simply more agile and has better control of herself in the air thanks to those wings of hers. You do at least manage to graze her left shoulder and claw at her right thigh. Neither seems to have any effect. Rather, if they do, Usha’s not showing it.

Rather than land on another crate, Usha twirls through the air and lands on all fours, claws scraping the metal deck plates until she comes to a stop. She looks up at you, smirking.

“Why are you smiling?” you growl at her. “I just proved that your little fate not to be hit is bullshit.”

“Who’s to say I didn’t say that just to throw you off-guard?” she replies. “It worked once, did it not?”

You clench your right fist so hard that your claws nearly draw blood. “Oh and I’m sure you’ll claim it was all ‘according to plan’ even if I defeat you.”

Her smile widens. “Who’s to say?”

You can’t really form proper words at the moment, so you opt for gnashing your teeth and preparing for the next exchange.

You decide to test and see if Usha will be vulnerable to words. Granted, you’re not a wordsmith or exceptionally good at coming up with insults, but even putting her slightly off-guard would give you an opening. You start by taunting, “What sort of Tzeentchean uses their fists? Is your mastery over sorcery so poor that you’re unable to act like the rest of you kind?”

Usha’s eyes narrow as she rises from the floor. “My sorcery skills are far more advanced than you could ever hope to understand. The only reason I haven’t turned you into a pile of ash is because of the Gellar Field on this starship.”

“Uh huh. Meaning you have no real control over fire except to make your fists flashy. Pathetic.”

She flings her right arm out, index finger pointing right at you as the flames swirl around it. “I thought I’d make things fair by playing on your level. But if you truly wish to embrace your fate as my tool, then so be it!”

The fire about her claws begins to amass at the tip of her finger. It turns into a focused ball of energy, emitting a high pitched whine. You suppose you’re about to see just how much she’s hampered by the Gellar Field.

Rather than try and stop her, you practically invite her to try. You open your arms wide and leave yourself totally open for whatever she’s casting. You have an almost instinctual feeling that between the Gellar Field and your collar that it doesn’t matter what she throws at you. Such are the protections provided by the Imperium of Man and Khorne respectively.

It doesn’t take but a few more seconds for Usha to finish pouring energy into her spell. With a great roar of thunderous crackles, a confined gout of bright blue flame lances out at you from her finger. In the few moments before it impacts, you can’t help but hope that your hunch is correct. Otherwise, you might be in for a world of pain.

Just as the psychically controlled fire is about to splash across your skin, the collar about your neck grows hot. It’s a comforting heat though, and not at all painful. You then watch as the blue spellfire literally splits in two and goes around your body. There’s barely an inch between your skin and the flame, yet you feel no heat from it. As such, the psychic bolt splashes harmlessly onto the crates behind you. When you turn to look, you see that the entire side where the split beams hit has become utterly melted.

You look back at Usha with a shit-eating grin. “Lemme guess, you missing was also fate, hm?”

She looks between you and her finger, eyes widening. “I… I don’t understand. This is when I’m supposed to make you fear and tremble before the awesome might of Tzeentch’s mighty fire…”

“Well thank Khorne he spared me from that speech,” you snicker at her. Then, before she can reply, you rush at her and drive your right fist squarely into her face.

You must have put a lot more force into your strike than you’d thought, for it sends Usha spinning through the air into the metal boxes surrounding the open area where you were fighting. Her wings flutter in a desperate attempt to right herself, but to no avail. She crashes into the crates hard enough to dent them inward with her body. With a great creak, said crates topple over and all but bury the Tzeentchean daemon.

“Is that it?” you ask the metal debris pile before you. “I was expecting so much more, especially after that punch you landed. Or was that simply a fluke? Yes, it must have been a fluke. No wonder you cower behind fate so m-”

You’re cut off by a great explosion of fire. It sends the metal boxes flying everywhere and frees Usha. She rises slowly, her entire body wreathed in that bright blue flame. Her wings flare out to the side as she practically screams at you, “NO ONE. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO DECRY MY MASTER AND LIVE!”

“Uh huh. But what can you even do about it?” you taunt.

She screeches and lunges at you like a feral cat. You respond by…

In the moment, you forget the old axiom about how cocky and arrogant warriors are practically asking for their downfall. Because of that, you underestimate both how fast Usha can move and how much time you need to get out of the way. Like her first drive-by punch, she slams into your side and rakes at it again and again. Each swipe digs deeper and deeper into your skin, to the point where actual blood and other viscera splatters the deck. It actually kinda hurts (-7 wounds - Current total 6/20).

You’re not about to let that sort of thing go unchallenged. Before she can do any further damage to you, you grab both of her wrists with your claws, wrench her up over your head, and slam her back onto your tail’s spiked end. Your tail doesn’t pierce all the way through Usha, but it does cause a nasty gash to open up along her biosuit and the skin underneath. Blue blood pours onto the deck plates, mixing with your own boiling red. The combining plasma simmers and turns a dark purple, but you don’t have much time to appreciate that fact.

Before you can suplex her again, Usha somehow wrestles free of your grasp and leaps away. She waves her hand across the front of her body, but nothing happens. Or, well, you think nothing happens until a metal shard from the crates she destroyed whistles past your left ear. You glance over your shoulder to see tens, if not a hundred, metal fragments levitating in the air. Your collar can help deflect actual spells, but physical objects thrown at you still are a danger.

There’s no way you can take that many fragments thrown at you. There’s also no time for you dive behind cover. So, you’ll just have to make some.

You throw yourself at the floor. You drive your claws into the deck plates and try to wrench a section up. It takes some doing, but finally a section about half your height and twice as wide bends up with a loud metal screech. And not a moment too soon.

Seconds after you hide behind the new cover, the floating swarm of metal flies at you. About half fly overhead to impact both crate and bulkhead alike. The rest slam into your deck plate with tremendously loud crashes. A few shards even pierce all the way through, but luckily by then they don’t have enough momentum to hurt you.

“And you call yourself a Khornate?!” shouts Usha. “What self-respecting Khornatecowers behind cover like some mewling human?”

“I’m getting real sick of your shit,” you whisper. You vaguely recall through the heat of the moment that there was some sort of prize for the winner of this fight, but now it’s a point of honor. You won’t stop until Usha is beaten senseless or yields like a quivering coward.

You blast out from beneath the deck plate you were hiding behind and round on Usha. She puts her hands up as if to stop you, but to no avail. You rain down a series of righteous blows in furious anger until one such hit causes her body to momentarily go limp. As her form collapses to the ground, you snarl, “What self-respecting Tzeentchean lets themselves get caught completely off-guard? HMMM?”

Usha doesn’t answer. Even through her biosuit-like wrappings you can tell she’s severely bruised all over. Were she not a daemon, the cracked ribs would likely have pierced vital organs. You loom over her, panting as the blood rage begins to boil off.

“No answer then?” you growl. “Fine. I’ll just-”

“BY THE EMPEROR! WHAT HAPPENED IN HERE?!”

You whirl on the spot to see a couple of deckhands have strolled into the cargobay, past the stacks of crates, and come right up to the edge of the clearing. They look with wide eyes at all the carnage and destruction, then at you.

You puff yourself up and try to look as intimidating as possible. Then you say to the two interlopers, “No cause for alarm! One Gellar Field malfunction has taken care of another. Everything’s fine here. Move along.”

The two humans bawk back. Suddenly, their eyes roll up into their skulls and they faint onto the ground. You guess you’re more frightening than you’d thought. But you do need to get a move on. These first two could be the beginning of many more. And you definitely don’t want to be outside of the relatively safety of your quarters when they wake up. Assuming they haven’t gone insane from this whole ordeal, the deckhands will likely run off to report this incident to someone. That’ll increase security and make it difficult for you to move around. You should go, now.

You look back at Usha’s prone form. You decide to…

There’s no sense in leaving Usha here. After all, if she holds up her end of the bargain, she’s supposed to bow her head to you now. Leaving her here will either result in her being caught by ship’s security or banished back to the Warp to stalk you in the future. You’d rather not have the latter come to pass. After all, you know all too well the kind of feelings that sort of thing can cause. So, you walk over, pluck Usha up, sling her over your shoulder, and begin to carefully head back up to your quarters on Deck 3.

You have to dodge several patrolling voidsmen and hide a few times along the way, but you eventually reach the segregated corridor that leads to your group’s hab block. The Fleshcutter guards don’t say anything as you stalk past them, but you do hear them start whispering to one another once you’ve passed. You waste no time in heading right for your suite. Once inside you deposit Usha on the couch Feva’s not currently passed out on. Of course, that means you don’t have anywhere to sit other than in the kitchen area. You end up perched on a stool like some oversized bird of prey as you think on what to do next.

It’s not long before there’s a beep at your door. When you call for whoever it is to enter, you’re quickly treated to the sight of an exasperated Niazach. She takes one look at Usha on the couch before gawking at you.

“What the fuck happened?” she asks.

You decide to fuck with Niazach a bit. An opportunity such as this only comes around once and awhile, after all. So you tell her, “Everything you wish I’d do to you.”

She looks back at you, aghast. “But… Even the bit with the chocolate pudding?”

“Yes, even that.” You smile smugly at her for a moment before you realize what was just said. “Wait, what?”

Niazach laughs and goes over to check on Usha. “Hm, let’s see. Well she’s a daemon of Tzeentch, that’s for sure.”

“What gave it away?” you dryly comment. “The big mark of Tzeentch on her collarbone? Or maybe the wings?”

“Well, besides those things, she’s definitely got more psychic potential than I do. That much I can sense without even- Eep!”

You look over to see the Usha’s grabbed Niazach’s wrist before the latter could lay a hand on her. The former snaps up at the daemonette, “Don’t touch me.”

There’s a somewhat tense moment as the two remain frozen. Then Niazach withdraws her hand. Usha sits up almost immediately thereafter, her wings turning translucent and forming around her lower half like a poofy dress. She takes a look around, eyes settling on the still-asleep Feva.

“So, the prophecy was correct,” she murmurs. “Even with that surprise earlier.”

You try not to sound condescending as you ask, “Right… So why are you here and why did you start a fight you couldn’t win?”

Usha glares back at you, but eventually her face softens. “Because of the prophecy, of course.”

“Yeah… you’re going to need to be a little more specific than that.”

She shakes her head and replies in a smug sort of way that one usually uses when teaching a small child. “The prophecy is thus: a group of second-rate daemons will come together and become a mighty force for Chaos. Every one of their followers will be outcasts from society. And…”

“Excuse me, ‘second-rate?’” you interrupt. “I just beat you senseless and you still have the gall to call me ‘second-rate?’”

Her smirk widens. “Ah, but I know for a fact that you’re still nothing compared to Cind-”

You cut across your body with a swift slash of your hand. “We don’t say Her name here.”

Niazach looks between the two of you, then asks, “Who’s this ”Her” you’re both on about? And what makes me second-rate anyways?”

“You were stuck in a mortal’s soul for decades,” you snap back. “As for Her…

OP, how many threads do you think this quest will run, ideally, assuming you don't die or burn out? Would you want it to be longer or shorter than the original?
>>
>>1451981

“Perhaps I should start at the beginning.” Your entire body tenses up as you grind your teeth together. You were hoping that you wouldn’t have to talk about Her to anyone for some time yet, but it seems that it’s unavoidable now.

“Long ago, I was a simple Bloodletter fighting Orks near the Skull Throne. But then She intervened. Not only did She take a kill that was rightfully mine, but she also took one of my horns. That was the beginning of my hatred for her. Things got worse when She accidentally summoned me to the Materium. I did what any Khornate would do and attempted to kill her. Yet I was slapped aside like a paper doll. Again and again. Nothing I did worked. Each defeat meant another lost body part. It was beyond humiliating.”

You pause as you hear liquid drops splattering on the floor. You look down to see that your claws are digging so hard into your palms that they’re oozing blood. Then you continue, “Eventually my loathing for Her grew so great that Khorne saw fit to reshape me and set me on the path towards finally defeating Her. That is my destiny, and where all this is going.”

There’s about a half minute of silence as this all sinks in. Then Niazach observes, “I see. So this is about a deep-seated grudge between two Khornates. And apparently you got smacked down hard and often enough that that makes you a second rate daemon. That’s gotta sting.”

You growl warningly back at her but say nothing. Usha takes the chance to add, “This was all foretold by one much greater than I. I merely am fulfilling my part in this prophecy.”

“What makes you ‘second-rate’ then?” you ask her through bared teeth.

She shrugs nonchalantly. “I am not great at planning things.”

“So let me get this straight: You were told by some greater daemon that all this was going to come to pass, and you took it as gospel?”

“If you knew this daemon, you’d understand. But yes. I am here merely to be a tool for the time being. That’s how you view all of us anyways, isn’t it?”

Niazach looks at you questioningly. Should you say something?

“How delightfully cruel~” purrs Niazach. “To be treated like an object… ah…”

“Did your little prophecy ever say whether I kill her for being an excessively annoying git?” you ask Usha.

Usha shrugs. “Not that I recall. But then again, you weren’t supposed to have a Collar of Khorne this early either.”

“So you’re admitting that there’s holes in it.”

“Only that there are different ways in which events may unfold that still lead to the same result.”

That’s not railroading at all, you think to yourself. You instead say aloud, “Whatever. We’re all tools to one another. Such is how daemons interact. So long as you remain useful to me we won’t have any problems.”

Niazach sighs deeply and replies, “So what now, Mistress?”

In the Immaterium they can generally be whatever they want. Changing form in the Materium, however, usually means they have to be a psyker. Or, at least, that's how I always explained it to my tabletop groups. Daemons don't have to breathe though, and thus can survive underwater and in the void.

You shrug and turn to head towards the master bedroom of the suite. “Now I rest. I don’t care what you all do in the meantime. I don’t want to be disturbed unless it’s absolutely necessary.”

“Of course~” Niazach replies. “I’ll make sure that your little fight isn’t traced back here.”

“And I’ll just take this couch for the time being,” says Usha.

“Great, you all do that.”

With that, you retire for a time. Normally daemons don’t require rest, but something in the manner in which you’re bound to the Materium has weakened your daemonic constitution. It’s something you may want to take up with Niazach and now Usha in the future. Until then, sleep it is.

You don’t really dream per se. At least, if you do, you don’t remember it. However, you do wake suddenly in a cold sweat some unknown amount of time later. Looking around, your eyes come to rest on the chrono resting upon one of the end tables. It’s been eight hours since you first laid down. Eight hours is plenty of rest. Anymore and you might as well be a daemon of sloth like some Nurgling. So you hop off the king-sized, satin-sheeted bed and stalk back out into the suite at large. It doesn’t take you long to come upon a somewhat strange sight.

Usha and Feva are sitting opposite one another with their sides facing you. The former’s wings are shifting between their normal, large, attached-at-the-waist state and being simple feathers attached to her arms. The latter is slowly changing her daemon arm back and forth between normal and not.

“Yes, that’s good,” comments Usha. “Keep focusing on that flame we talked about. Let it wax and wane, just like your arm. You control the flame and the transformation. It does not control you.”

You figure it’s probably best to let them keep at it rather than interrupt. You begin creeping towards the door, doing your best not to move suddenly or to make any noise. However, about three stride-lengths from the exit, your tail smacks into a metal trash can with a muffled thunk. Naturally, you freeze in place and slowly look towards Usha and Feva. The latter doesn’t seem to have noticed, but Usha does turn her head to look at you.

“Ah, there’s Ember. Come, I think you’ll pleased with your pupil’s progress.” She waves you over, and you reluctantly do so. She looks back to Feva and says, “Now, show Ember what you just showed me.”

Feva holds up her arm that’s currently in its daemonic state. Then she screws up her eyes and furrows her brow. Her arm begins to shift and shrink, eventually to the point where the black and red daemon skin is replaced by a soft pink. For effect, she wiggles her claws-turned-fingers and waves at you.

“Very good,” you comment. “How long can you keep that up?”

“Only about an hour so far,” admits Feva. “It’s very taxing.”

“That’s largely because of the Gellar Field,” replies Usha. “It’ll be much easier on you when you’re not surrounded by one. The fact you’re able to change it at all is remarkable, for a human.”

You smirk and say to Feva, “You’ve done well in such a short amount of time. You should consider that arm a gift from Khorne himself. But have you been keeping up with the daily task I set you on?”

Feva’s eyes go wide as she jumps up from her seat. “O-oh! That’s right! I have to train with my spear! Um… thank you, Usha!” Before Usha can say anything, Feva rushes off to collect her spear and to find a place to practice in.

“What was that all about?” ask Usha, her wings remaining arm-feathers for the time being.

“She needs to learn how to use her newly dominant arm,” you reply. “That and how to use a chain spear properly. Before now she was limited to human appendages and basic bladed weapons.”

“She’s… not exactly part of the prophecy,” Usha admits. “I don’t know what to make of her.”

“There’s that ‘prophecy’ word again. What does it say happens next, anyways?”

Usha brightens up. “Well, it says that we go to Enkidu and help break the blockade around the planet. Also that we might meet someone aligned to Nurgle along the way.”

“Breaking the blockade, eh? In case you haven’t noticed, this ship isn’t exactly mine. And even if it was, it’s pretty small. I doubt it could take on anything larger than another frigate.”

“It never said that such a task would be easy.”

“Uh huh. And what happens if I decide we’re not going to waste our resources and manpower on ‘freeing’ a Feral World from the grasp of the Ecclesiarchy?”

Usha shrugs. “Then something you do will set in motion a chain of events that does break the blockade in the future.”

You roll your eyes at this. “For someone who apparently sucks at planning, you seem to be pretty sure of all this.”

“Like I said, if you knew the daemon who foretold…”

“Whatever. I’m…”

“...going to see what Niazach can tell me about this ship we’re on.”

“What about me?” Usha asks.

“Do whatever. Just don’t get in Feva’s way.”

“Right…”

You leave her to her own devices and head out of the suite. It doesn’t take you long to track down Niazach. As seems to be the usual for her, she’s still in her human form that resembles the mortal she was once trapped in. You find her discussing things with Rikiar in what resembles a canteen for this hab block.

“Ah, Ember,” calls Rikiar as you get closer. “Come, join us. You’ll want to hear this.”

“What’s this about then?” you ask as you find a seat at the head of the table they’re sitting at.

“Well, as I was just telling him,” says Niazach. “We were recently visited by a group of voidsmen. They wanted to know if we had noticed any strange phenomena. Apparently a few eyewitnesses saw a cargo bay torn apart by two daemons.”

“And that’s not even the good part,” adds Rikiar. “Our men almost started a fight when the voidsmen said they wanted to sweep the block just to be sure. They’re growing restless.”

“It’s only been a day, maybe two!” you say incredulously. “How can I, a daemon of Khorne, have more patience than simple mortals?”

Rikiar shrugs. “They’re still riding the high of taking down Desoleum and of leaving the planet behind. Simply put: they need an outlet. Badly.”

“I see.” To Niazach, you ask, “What can you tell me about the Inferno?

“Not much. I haven’t really had a chance to slip away and wander yet. But I do know that the security around critical areas has likely been increased ever since the cargobay incident.”

As much as I'd like to keep updating during peak hours, something's come up that requires my attention elsewhere. Sorry guys! We'll pick things up either late Saturday (tomorrow) or Sunday afternoon.

In the meantime, here's a silly vote to pass the time and prompt discussion:

What sort of character should the Nurgle one be?

Something different!

Maybe something along the lines of a tiger mom, since we had a full on motherly character already with She Who Will Not Be Named.

how about a space marine for each daemon? like a second in command for our cults
>>
>>1452916

That might be fun, of course in lore there are several instances of chaos cultists killing chaos space marines and taking their shit and it working cause lol chaos.
>>
>>1453065
look if they die to a fucking group of cultists then they are not WORTHY to work for us!
>>
>>1453040
I don't think the other demons should have their own cults, due to the natural animosity between the gods, it seems like it would be trouble down the line.

Did we take any of those slanneshi tech cultists with us or are they back at the hive?
>>
>>1453079
Yeah, what I was hinting at was Rikar or Feva killing one and looting his shit. Probably Rikar since Feva is going champion route.
>>
>>1453086
I hope we brought them with because I think we don't have anyone with tech skills in our cult.
>>
Rolled 7 (1d10)

You brought at least the three that were with you and Niazach when you went through the Prime Spire. Whether or not others made it... I'll roll for it.

4-6 = Six total
7-9 = Nine
10 = Special Surprise

nine is good

A Biologis that has way too many foreign body parts that aren't even human?

Wait a second, next time we see Usha, we should ask her why she fought if the prophecy said she was going to lose? I'm starting to think she might be lying to us.
>>
>>1452916

Since we are second-rate daemons I`d say there is great potential for daemon who represent aspect of death rather than decay with that backstory.
Out of place and strange for other Nurgle forces but really want to prove usefulness.
