In a small bar within one of the few quiet corners of the Lions Den, a girl tries to reconnect with her past life the only way she knows how…

“Gimme another!” Yells the girl, who would be beautiful in a cold sort of way were it not for the bruises, black eyes, and bits of bar stool marring her face.

“I really think you should stop…” the centaur bartender tries to say before a fistful of cash is thrown at her face.

“Fack you! I’m still payin, so shaddup and give me my fucking mead!” The wounded drake would have continued with her tirade, had she not thrown up her previous five drinks onto the floor almost as soon as the next was poured.

Sighing, the centaur prepared to give the whining dragon her next glass, when someone walked up to the bar and stopped her.

“Dammit Jane, why do you have to keep enabling her?” said the newcomer, a dragon like the other, but with alabaster scales instead of crimson

“You know exactly why, she literally throws more money at me than I know how to spend when she binges like this!” Says the bartender with a grin.

“Ugh, whatever, I don’t care at this point. Come on Daniell, we’re going home.” Said the white dragon, before grabbing her companion under her arms and hoisting her over her shoulder, carefully avoiding her broken wings and tail.

“But I don’t wanna!” The broken drunk slurred, earning an exasperated but sympathetic glare from her rescuer.

“Well too bad, you need to go to the hospital when you get your ass kicked that badly, not a different bar to drown your sorrows in. Just because neither of us can hold our liquor doesn’t give you an excuse to start mouthing off about people's girlfriends!” Said the former White Dragon of Merlin's tale, or a girl named Jess, depending on how you looked at things. Unfortunately, her former enemy had fallen asleep during her rant, hearing now of it. With a sigh and the smallest of grins, Jess hefted Daniell out of the bar, the centaur calling out “Have fun dealing with that stupid drunk bitch!” sarcastically as they got out the door.

“Yeah, but she’s MY stupid drunk bitch.” Said Jess with a smile.

It's just me drawfriend. I forgot my name on from doing a QM a second ago.

Maybe she's just jumping at the chance to pamper me? I mean I'll admit I'm not the easiest to take care of and treat to a bit of pampering and spoiling, since both those things mean I have to let someone else do all the work for me and lay around like I'm helpless or something. I mean I let Yvette do it sometimes, but...I guess its easier since I'm a little girl again? I dunno, I'm sure she's just letting off some of her pent up motherly affection, simple kindness or whatever it is that makes her like to take care of people so much. Besides if it wouldn't be bad, if I didn't get turned into a little kid for it to happen like this! its pissing me off being so small again!

Turning over as I hear yvette clanging and digging through the kitchen looking for more roots for me to chew on while she cuddles with me, I crawl up the back of the couch and peek over it to look at her. Whipping my tail back and forth as I look at her backside, while she's bent over trying to look through the bottom shelf of the fridge murmuring to herself. Can't hear anything about what she's saying, but I probably should be thankful for that. Since for all I know she's talking to herself about making me a "nest" out of blankets or something. I shiver at the though and try to clear my throat and find a way to talk without sounding like a little brat.

Pulling up the snaggled toothed hoodie falling over my head and horns with googly eyes I pull myself up and huff, drawing her attention back to me.

"Yvvy!" I shout as she stops rooting around the fridge for a second

"Yes? did you decide what you wanted? is it too cold in here? Do you need your fangs brushed again?" She asks, quickly, grinning as she looks like she's about to bloom. I whimper and shake my head

"No, I need you to stop babying me and to help me figure out how to fix..." I say, trying to sound as mature as I can, as she just watches me with a silent smile "Whatever this is! You can pamper me or whatever once its fixed, but I've had enough of being treated like a cute little puppy"

She pouts and slumps her shoulders, puffing her cheeks up as she hangs her arms in front of herself. Then she claps them and shoots right back up, standing tall and straight again

"Alright, but after a nap okay, can't have you going out grumpy can we?" She says, a little to happily.

Alright, starting to think Yvvy's gone kid crazy now. Cause she wouldn't act like this normally. Sure she can be a bit clinging at the worst of times, but she's never been this bad before. But luckily for me, she isn't exactly agile, sure she can walk around, but roots aren't really good for winning a marathon, or catching a tiny, running dragon girl.

Hey, it's the truth. And with how shit I've been feeling about this whole crisis, I think spreading a little positivity will do us all some good.

And like that I skid to a halt, nearly slamming into the wall as I try and turn around to make sure Yvvy didn't hurt herself trying to chase me around. Holding myself up with my tail on the ground and a hand against the bottom of a window, I look back at my girlfriend, my heart pounding as I start to feel a little scared for her.

She's laying slumped against the back of couch like a tree that fell in the middle of the road, holding her head and looking more than a little hurt. I gasp, and cover my mouth as she lays back with a painful sounding groan.

She glances at me, her amber eyes filling with tears as she slowly moves her hand away from her forehead.

"I'm fine...I'm fine" She repeats, as she shakes her head "Just took a bit of a fall, nothing serious, just a little bonk on the head is all just...gimme a minute...don't worry about me okay sweetie, just gimme a bit and we can take a nap...after a glass of water...maybe two"

She whimpers and grabs her head again, as I think once about going to comfort her, before realizing what she'd do if I did do that. So instead I steel my heart and leave my girl alone to suffer for a little bit so I can get away from her before she starts to smother me again.

So as much as it makes my chest hurt and how guilty it makes me feel, I scamper across the room, grabbing my cell phone from the nightstand I left it on next to the couch, as Yvvy reaches for me, trying her best not to cry from pain as I run for the lobby of the inn, as she sits there. Guess her head is aching too much to chase after me...or maybe she just learned her lesson. Can't stop to ask.

Now I need some help, that want baby me like Yvette or try to make me look cute like she was.

Turning on my phone, I nearly trip over the tail of the jumper I'm wearing as I open up the contacts list on it

As I weigh my options, I sit down against the wall with a flowering bush at my back. Wrapping my tail around my waist as I think, I raise my knees up to my chest and sigh. Against my better judgement, I glance up, and see a circle of girls standing over me, there eyes sparkling like they were just given a puppy or kitten, pure joy that normally would make me a bit sick with just how sweet it was. Alright. Tiny dragon girl with unbreakable scales vs a bunch of girls with various sharp and hard bits. Some strong enough to lift cars or heavy enough to dent them. Hell one or one might be stronger or heavier than that. Feathers, scales, fur and even some metal against my scales and fragile fleshy bits. My tail coils up as I imagine the bones in it snapping from the sheer weight that's about to fall on top of me. My skin crawls as I think about claws digging into, not that they'd put enough pressure to make me bleed, but....well I think they might do it on accident trying to pull me away from their "Competition" for pampering.

So I run, without second guessing myself. Through the legs of a tall, pale girl, over the tail of a Lamia as it tries to wrap around me, under the many feet of a drider, and diving under the chest of a mimic who somehow leaped up into the air.

I hear a camera flash, followed by what sounds like a car crash behind me as I slide out of the door and down the steps, bouncing into the garden with a gasp, and oof and a thud.

Laying on the cold grass for a moment, I realize I'm still in danger, surrounded by more girls out here than were inside.

"Haa! can't stop this reporter" Rowen says smugly behind me

"OUT OF THE WAY NUTTER" the tabby girl who's name I really need to remember says, trying to push her out of the way as she claws her way out from under the pile of confused and frantic girls, trying to find me under each other.

Alright, that's really fuckin clever

Yep, not waiting to see what any of that is. I'm just going to burrow down as fast and hard as I can, because I may be small, but I still have my claws and a bit of my strength. Throwing myself back into the wet grass, I start to dig as quickly as I can as Rowen and the Tabby start to fight and argue, yelling about making memories, repaying debts, headline news, and needing to keep the little ones safe, and a bunch of other stuff I don't understand and really don't want to. So I just keep digging as fast as I can, my cute jumper getting stained with grass and mud as I claw at the ground as fast and furiously as I can, kicking up globs of dirt and rocks as I work my way through the earth faster than any normal girl or even man could.

Something grabs my leg, and I feel talons on my scales. I kick, not as hard as I can, and hear a harpy chirping and wailing pitifully as I dig deeper and deeper, the sound of my claws scrapping against stone and dirt drowning out most of the noise from the surface world.

but I do here Rowen shout "Hey wait May come back, I don't want to do anything weird, just write a paper on young dragon girls is all, swear!", the tabby yelp "Boss, I can keep you safe, promise" And yvette wail "May may! don't run off by yourself, its too cold out for yoooou"

Before I dig too deep to hear any of them clearly because of all the noise, and curl up in a safe little chamber I made for myself.

Its hard, real hard, and my fingers start to sting as my arms turn to jelly and it becomes hot and hard to breath down under the earth, I can't focus or think about anything else as I slowly tunnel my way through the garden of the inn and towards that shitty bridge leading to it. I feel rocks break against my scale covered fingers, and rip my jumper up as roots and worms brush against my face.I squint my eyes, and close them as the light vanishes entirely, blocked by dirt, rocks and my own body. I feel my face get stabbed, pocked and scratched by the shards of rocks I'm digging through. And more than once I get stuck on my upper horns into the ceiling that's literally just above my head or get my first set jammed into the walls to my sides. And then I have to wiggle, squirm and crawl like a worm to free myself. I feel mud and dust coating my hands, and getting under my claws.I slam my knees and toes into the rocks under me that I didn't push out of the way.

All in all, it wasn't fun....at all, and it only gets harder when I get to the rocky cliff just outside of the inns gates.

Then I have to basically grind and break and pull my way up, nearly getting stuck once or twice from the falling rocks I make, and I have to chew through a few before I finally see the light of the sun again and feel fresh air washing against my really REALLY DIRTY FACE

I'd...I think I'd like a bath now. Letting out a dusty wheeze, I cough out the mud and bits of stone I swallowed, slumping halfway onto the ground, my legs and tail still stuck underground.

I grown weakly, feeling my hair running over my face as i try to fill my lungs with as much cold...cold air as I can. it feels the first smoke of a day, or a bite out of roots...Yvette's roots to be specific.

I keep my eyes closed, just basking in being out of that self inflicted hell. Until I hear claws tapping on stone.And look up to see faith, waiting on the edge of the

I didn't really care much before, and thought it was a cool scenerio, but now I'm thinking Caught Up was right, in spirit, but not in level of revenge.

Well, I think the apology will be genuine since May is feeling a little guilty about embarrassing her in front of one of her friends. And after the curse is done and we're big again, we grab her by the throat, tell her to stay the fuck away from us and our friends, and then bash her face into a few rocks to make sure the message gets through, and then leave. Genuine apology followed by genuine rage. The little bitch even get's to keep her horns if all goes well, she's earned that much for the moment.

I think we should fight her in chibi form and win. That would feel the best. It's not mean, it's a normal dragon thing to fight, and if we win we win our respect and dignity back, we break the curse because we beat her, and then we can be the bigger person and admit that we were a heel when we're all grown up again and the curse is broken.

To me that's a win-win.

Anyways, the usual argument continues, I'm going to just let it end. I think we don't need to wreck or even scare Faith post fight. I am totally down with fighting her, totally down with apologizing, and willing to at the very least, let the past be the past after this is over. But I know that others don't agree. This is just going to be one of those things.
