“And still no results?” Lord Vader’s booming voice was no less terrifying when it was coming through speakers. His holographic form towered over you, Admiral Reike, and the Ithorian Doctor as the three of you stood in Admiral Reike’s office. Your secretaries Prosecutor and Defiant stand by the door, waiting for your order.

“It’s only been a couple of days since we first retrieved the girl, Lord Vader,” says Admiral Reike. “I humbly request that you give us at least a month, maybe two months, before we can discern usable data.”

The Doctor nods, speaking through a translator collar. “Our current issue in regards to studying the Princess is that we simply cannot get very much out of her. She speaks very rarely, our Admiral here is the only one who’s managed to get her to talk. If you would allow my scientists to perform a fullbody autopsy, perhaps we can glean more from an anatomical perspective. See what makes them tick on the inside, my Lord.”

Lord Vader shakes her head. “You have sacrificed too many ships and lives for the sake of that Princess. I will not allow it to be euthanized needlessly if there is information we can glean from it. Continue your research. If it stalls, a more enhanced method of information gathering is authorized. You are dismissed, Admirals.”

“My Lord.” You three bow to him. And with that, he fades.

It has been a couple of days since the Lusankya was captured by your fleets, at significant cost to the Kuat defense fleet. Thankfully, no Starship Girls were sunk, but it was cutting it close. Your own ship suffered some casualties aboard as well, Commander Fiennes being notable. He survived, but unfortunately his wounds were too great for him to continue service. At least for now. F4 informed you he would be cycled to the rear where he’ll recover and hopefully make a comeback in the coming months.

Good. You didn’t want to take care of a bunch of snot-nosed kids. Especially ones you don’t know anything about.

Admiral Reike folds his arms, rubbing his nose. He looks to you. “Admiral. Tell us.” The Doctor as well turns to you, curious. “What makes the Princess so talkative when it comes to you? She seems to only value your presence.”

“Maybe it’s because I treat her humanely.”

The three of you all laugh aloud at that. Admiral Reike slaps his knee, grabbing your shoulder and squeezing it while the Doctor simply holds his gut and keeps his four throats from busting up from the chortling. Truth be told, it may be why, but it’s still kind of hilarious to think about. Though, the other reason you’re laughing is because Admiral Reike is laughing at it. “Haha! Ah! That’s rich,” says Admiral Reike. He pats your chest. “Right. Humanely… I think we’re well past that point, Admiral.”

“Actually.” The Doctor interjects. “I do believe that perhaps humane treatment of the Princess may yield further results. Just as long as it doesn’t involve the Admiral attempting copulation.” You snicker.

Wait. What does he mean attempt? Is he saying it’s possible?

“Fine, fine.” Admiral Reike waves it off. “Admiral. Doctor. You two will be entrusted to take care of the Princess.” Defiant walks up to Reike and hands him a datapad. “I have to reorg the fleet, reinforcements are coming in from Coruscant. Do as you will.”

You and Prosecutor walk the halls of the Kuat dockyard station. Out in the windows you see ships being repaired, being constructed, and being resupplied in the massive ring of factories and manufacturing plants here on the planet of Kuat. “So what have the girls been up to?” you ask.

“We’ve been organizing things for Commander Fiennes’ departure,” says Prosecutor. Oh? “We’ve actually got a card for you to sign for him. I’ll give it to you later.”

“Has he already left?” you ask.

“Unfortunately, yes,” says Prosecutor. “But we were planning on putting together a sort of care package for him. To make sure he knows he is not forgotten in our Fleet.” She smiles happily at you, very genuinely in fact. “I feel like that’s something you would permit, Admiral.”

“I suppose I can.” You gently pet Prosecutor on the head. “Commander Fiennes is a fine man, he deserves a good sendoff from us. I’m just sorry I wasn’t able to say goodbye to him in person.” You are glad he’s not dead though. It means you don’t have to take care of his kids. His wife though… Nah, you’re surrounded by Starship Girls. Regular people are just kind of boring in comparison now.

“I’m about to make a celebratory dinner in honor of capturing Lusankya,” says Prosecutor. “Admiral. F4 has the card and- oh, there he is now!” F4 starts rolling up behind you, apparently on the lookout for you. “F4, could you give the card to the Admiral for him to sign? It would mean so much to Commander Fiennes!”

“Gladly,” says F4.

Prosecutor smiles. “I’ll need your help in the kitchen, Admiral!” She waves goodbye, then hurries off ahead without you. “I’ll meet you there!”

F4 pulls the card from his done, holding it out to you. “What?” you ask.

“Sign it,” he says.

“It’s just a card,” you say.

“If you don’t sign it, I will,” says F4. You frown a little. “Admiral, for goodness sake. He was your XO for years.”

“I’ll get a new one,” you state. “Probably a cute one too.”

“Nice to see where your priorities lie. Now sign it.”

“Alright, alright, jeez.” You take the card and the pen. “If it’ll get you off my back.” You open up the card, and find a cute illustration of you and Commander Fiennes, along with all the Starship Girls on one page. And on the other page nothing but happy signatures from all the girls. You find a nice little corner and sign your name there and give him some sappy message or something. “Fiennes, it was an honor serving with you, no better XO. Get well soon.”

You hand it back to F4. He swipes it and inserts it back into his dome. “Thank you, Admiral. Now was that so hard?”

“Don’t start. I’m trying to imagine my new XO,” you say. “Have you heard from logistics about that yet?”

“Yes, I heard in fact. Your new XO happens to be a very nymphomaniacal Twi’lek, and she’s arriving with some very explorative sisters and a Super Star Destroyer especially for you,” F4 states firmly. You glare at him. “What? I’m trying to give you good news, sir.”

“Have you ever considered what happens to droids who lie?” you ask.

“I did, and I decided either way I win,” he says. You roll your eyes.

You, Prosecutor, and Redemption are now very busy in the kitchen. Redemption is whistling happily as she cuts the vegetables. Prosecutor is running around the kitchen as she checks on all the ovens cooking the meats. And you have a very important job: making the scrambled eggs. Redemption sighs, “There is now such a void to fill now that Commander Fiennes is gone.” Was everyone really that close to him?

Agility, Black Hawk, and Sundered Heart break into the kitchen. “We smell good food!” yells Agility.

Black Hawk sniffs the air. “Really good food!”

“Now, girls.” Prosecutor steps in front of them. “We’re still cooking, please don’t-“ They rush past her, aiming to touch and ooh and ahh at everything going on in the kitchen. “Oh- oh! Agility, please don’t do that! No, Black Hawk, put down that knife! It’s dangerous!”

Sundered Heart slides in next to you. “Ohoho~! Admiral, very funny you and me meet here!” She twiddles her fingers a little, smiling. “You know, a -woman- of my stature happens to know a thing or two about cooking! Perhaps I can show you!”

You smirk a little, handing her an apron. “Here. Grab a whisk and help me with the eggs.”

Sundered Heart gasps, grinning. “Gladly!” She takes the apron and quickly wraps it around then grabs a whisk. As the two of you start whisking the eggs together, the other corvettes run around the kitchen. They’re now having a race it seems.

“Girls, stop!” says Prosecutor. “It’s dangerous to run with knives!”

Agility brandishes her knife at Black Hawk. “Look at me! I’m Lord Vader!”

“No, I’m Lord Vader!” Black Hawk breathes heavily, mockingly. She wheezes loudly. “Submit to the dark side!”

Before the two can go further however, they have their ears pulled on by Redemption. “Owowowowow!” They both yelp in pain as Redemption holds them, sternly and matronly. “We’ll stop, we’ll stop!”

“Good.” Redemption’s smile does not comfort them at all. “You can help set the table then, come along!” The two corvettes mope, grabbing plates and utensils. She looks over at you, then winks as she goes back to cutting the vegetables. She turns around, revealing her very shapely rear to-

“Admiral.” You turn back to Sundered Heart, who is now completely covered in yolk and egg white.

“Okay, I know this looks bad,” says Sundered Heart. “But I assure you, this was an accident. As is noblesse oblige, I must say this was entirely my fault.” You stare at her. “Welp, let’s get back to cooking then!” She goes back to whisking the eggs chaotically and violently.

-

-

“Let’s eat!” The dinner table is set as everyone starts eating a mixture of roasted pork with a side of scrambled eggs, crisp salads, and tall glasses of juice. It was less about the cuisine to be honest, and more about celebrating the victory against the Yuuzhan Vong. They all struck a blow that day. And it was time they celebrate. Everyone revels in your cooking, happy as can be.

Finalizer says, “Lord Admiral, these eggs are delicious! Worthy of your name!”

“Thank you!” You grin, taking a sip of water. The canteen was full of life as everyone happily ate and talked of things they did that day.

Resolute leans over to you. “Admiral. I hate to be a spoilsport.”

“You do?” you ask.

She rolls her eyes, then points to the side. You look over to see another table in the cafeteria, occupied by all of Admiral Reike’s girls. They sit quietly, eating dourly. “If it all possible, maybe we can invite them to eat with us?” Hand of Justice looks over, blinking, then goes back to eating her food quietly. “They were quite helpful in the raid after all.”

“You’re right, I’ll call them over.” You lean out a bit, then call out to them. “Hey, girls!” All of Reike’s fleet girls turn their heads to you, suspiciously. Okay, you’re now regretting this. “Um. We have plenty of food if you want to join.” Your own girls stop eating, looking over at Reike’s girls.

And now the atmosphere is quite thick from this tension. Oh boy. What have you done?

Hand of Justice however immediately stands up out of her chair. She hurries on over to the table, smiling at Tellstar. “Can I have some?”

Tellstar smiles happily, then pulls up a chair for Justice. “Sure!” The two Arquitens start piling their plates up with food to eat. You realize now that maybe you’re breaking one of Reike’s rules: don’t interact with the other girls. But it’s ony for dinner. Besides, what’s the worst that could happen anyway? You look to the other girls.

Standing up is Vigilance, one of Reike’s Venators. She walks on over to you and Resolute, hands behind her back. She tilts her head. “Resolute.”

“Vigilance,” says Resolute back. The two stare at each other for a second, before Vigilance pulls a chair down for herself. You’re about to ask how they know each other before Resolute says: “We served in the same fleet before.”

“Right, right.” As Tellstar, Justice, and the rest of the corvettes happily start eating, more and more of Reike’s girls start coming over to claim some free food. Before all that’s left is Defiant. She sits alone, glaring at all of you. Well, it’s her choice not to come and eat. Reike’s Starship Girls are quiet and not very sociable, but they certainly seem to enjoy the atmosphere of your Fleet. A family rather than a squadron.

Defiant simply picks up her plate, then leaves the mess hall after a while. But for now, the rest of you enjoy yourselves.

Who’s to know what’ll happen next anyhow?

“Don’t worry, it’ll be our secret,” says Vigilance. With the dinner winding down, everyone started picking up after themselves. It was a very warm and comfortable atmosphere as everyone got to know each other. The corvettes especially got to hang around with one another, under the watchful eye of Redemption and Implacable. “I must say, Sister.” Vigilance folds her arms, squinting at Resolute. “Your Admiral is quite the man.”

Resolute tilts her head, adjusting her glasses. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I’ve yet to encounter an Admiral who treated his girls so… lavishly, familiarly even,” Vigilance says.

You shrug, smiling at the two of them. “I just think of you all as people.” Very, very attractive people. “You’re no different from me as all.” Resolute stares at you, not buying it. Vigilance though seems to at least.

Vigilance places her hands on her shapely hips, smiling at you two. “Well, I shall take my leave then. Admiral, if you ever wish to talk, I’m around.” She salutes you, smiling happily. You must say, you already find Vigilance very fetching, that smartly cut hair that reaches down to her shoulders, a dress cut down the middle showing off ample cleavage and midriff, and yet she has that very disciplined Imperial atmosphere to her. It’s almost-

Resolute bumps you. “Ah, yes. Of course,” you say quickly. Vigilance nods, then hurries the other girls away out of the mess hall. “I always did hate Vigilance.”

“You hate her?” you say. “Why?”

Resolute grumbles a little. “I don’t know. Her and I are on good terms. Yet, something about her is incredibly… I can’t describe it.”

“Well, she seems nice and reasonable,” you state. “A little more than you.” Resolute rolls her eyes.

“I shall retire to my room, Admiral,” says Resolute. With that, she sashays away, a little angrily. Mmm, yes. Anger. A very versatile emotion.

> The corvettes, even Reike’s corvettes, are still playing around. See what they’re doing.

Agility, Black Hawk, Tellstar, Sundered Heart, Hand of Justice, and even some of Reike’s corvettes such as Ranger (IPV-1 Patrol Craft) and Bouncer (also IPV-1 Patrol Craft) were running around, playing some kind of game of tag. “Hey, girls.” Reike’s corvettes immediately stop what they’re doing and stand at attention when they see you. “As you were, I just wanted to see how you’re all doing.”

Agility zooms past. “HAHA! CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, SUCKERS!”

“Come back here you idiot!” yells Black Hawk. They run circles around you, then immediately run on and around the dining room. Redemption lifts her arms over her head to allow the corvettes to run around her like a maypole.

Hand of Justice looks on in awe. “Your corvettes are so fast, Admiral! How do they do it?”

“I don’t know,” you admit honestly. How your corvettes are such bundles of energy you’ll never figure out. Matches them you suppose, but it’s still a mystery how they can muster such incredible optimism.

“I want to go fast like them!” says Bouncer. Bouncer and Ranger, as IPV-1 Patrol Crafts, were basically identical. They were short child-like Starship girls, even smaller than Tellstar and Hand of Justice. And they wore uniforms as if they were elementary schoolchildren, except grey in the Imperial fashion. They even had the same haircuts, a wrapped ponytail behind their head. “Admiral, how do we go fast like them!?”

“Well, exercise-“

Ranger gasps. “I know!” She snaps her finger. “Admiral, we always ride our big sisters into battle! Carry us so we may catch your corvettes and tag them!”

“Fine, get on.” You kneel down, presenting your back to them. “We’ll catch them!” This is probably gonna be a gigantic mistake.

Bouncer and Ranger gasp in awe. “The Admiral is really letting us ride him!” They immediately jump on and OH GOODNESS SAKE YOUR BACK! “Woooohoo!” You raise yourself up. “Go, Admiral, go!” Okay, deep breath. You can do this! You push yourself forward, running after them. “Hey, hey! Agility!” yells out Bouncer. The two corvettes look back at you and the IPVs. “We’re coming for you now! Ahaha!” They’re having fun, that’s what matters. If they have fun, they’ll be effective fighters!

Agility glares at you. “How come you never let us ride you, Admiral!” She immediately charges at you, then pounces up. Oh, blast it. She hugs you, almost toppling over. “I want to ride you too!”

Black Hawk climbs on over Bouncer and Ranger, grabbing at your head. “I get to ride him first! I was one of the originals!”

“L- look!” You strain yourself, trying to stand around as four corvettes hang off of you. “Girls! Why not Sundered Heart!? She’s-“

Sundered Heart laughs. “Ohoho~! Admiral, you look like you’re in some trouble!” She hugs your leg. “Here, I’ll prop you up!” PLEASE.

Tellstar and Hand of Justice giggle to the side as you strain yourself trying to carry all the girls. You’re going to collapse. This is how you break your spine and get yourself posted to the rear where you’ll never enjoy glory or victory again. And they don’t exactly give out Starship Girls either to rear echelon troops. You’ll be little more than a droid! And yet these girls are laughing and having the time of their lives!

Redemption walks on over to you. “My, my. Practicing to be a father, Admiral?” She smirks, looking at you slyly.

NO. You can’t look bad in front of sexy Starship Girls! You steel yourself, then straighten out, yelling to the heavens. All the corvettes gasp in awe as you stand erect, holding them all as if they were just feathers on your shirt. You grin at Redemption, who simply snickers at the sight. Finalizer and Prosecutor however in the background look on in awe of you. “Hey.” You wink at Redemption. “My room later, you can practice being my wife.”

Redemption folds her arms. “Bold, Admiral.” She gently taps your head, and sends you toppling over. All the corvettes topple on top of you, laughing and squealing in delight. She leans over, smirking. “Good night.” And with that, she snaps her fingers. “Come on, girls. It’s time we get ready for bed.”

“Aww.” All the corvettes crawl all over you with their little feet and hands before getting up and away. Like getting dogpiled by a pack of lothcats really. “Good night, Admiral!” they say in unison as they leave.

Prosecutor smiles, walking up to you. She helps you up. “It is time you retire for the night, Admiral. I must say though, that was a very impressive display of your strength.”

“Worthy of the Dark Side!” yells Finalizer as she holds a stack of dirty plate. “I knew the Lord Admiral was strong!” Only when pride and image is on the line. Anywhere else you just have a slave to do it for you. “And a strong Admiral requires strong subordinates like ourselves!” She starts heading to the kitchen. “Now, we must scrub the last of this grit from our dining plates! Onward!” She busts into the kitchen, and immediately you hear a crashing noise from inside. “…” She pokes her head out, an intense blush on her face. “Er-… Prosecutor.”

“You broke all those dishes,” says Prosecutor. Finalizer nods slowly, looking down, ashamed. “It’s fine. We’ll get more.” Finalizer nods. Prosecutor looks to you and sighs. “I’ll help clean up in the kitchen, okay, Admiral? Relax for the night. It’s been a rough few days for us. It’ll take us some time before we’re back to the routine of sorties and expeditions.”

“Yes, yes.” With that, Prosecutor salutes you. “You need any help or-“ You hear another plate break inside.

“Okay, that was my bad!” says Finalizer from inside the kitchen.

Prosecutor smiles a little, her eye twitching a bit. “Finalizer knows not her own size or strength. But alas, endeavor to victory, parjai and what not,” she says. “The Mandalorian codes demand patience. Rest, Admiral.”

> “No, I insist. I’ll help.”

“I insist, Prosecutor, I’ll help.” Prosecutor sighs again, apparently not bothering to fight you on this for now. Really though, you’re just trying to get a glimpse of what the damage is inside the kitchen. Can’t be that bad, right? You and Prosecutor step inside and oh boy it is that bad. Broken plates all over the floor. “How did this happen?” you ask.

Finalizer huffs, folding her arms. “I know not my own strength.” You look to Prosecutor, who simply shrugs in response. She called it. “But seriously, the floors are slippery. The moisture here dares conspire against me to make me look bad!”

“Now, now, it’s okay. Let’s just sweep it all up.”

-

-

The process of sweeping up the mess takes about an hour. You empty your dustpan of its contents into the trash chute. Darn monsters in the trash compactors are going to eat well tonight. Finalizer places the last of the glasses and dishes carefully in one of the cupboards next to you. Prosecutor meanwhile cleans up some of the used dishes in the sink. “Lord Admiral, I have a question.”

“Oh?” You turn to Finalizer. She stands next to you, curiously. “What is it?”

She twiddles her fingers a little. “You’ve visited the Princess and slumbered in the same room with her, correct?” You tilt your head. “What is she like?”

“Honestly.” You rub your chin. “I can’t tell you, she doesn’t reveal all that much about herself. She actually seems quite er…” It’s hard to describe really, that feeling of despair, without seeming rather crass. “Well, she’s not like the rest of you girls that’s for sure.”

Finalizer nods. “Oh, right, right.”

“Something the matter?” you ask.

“Well.” Finalizer sighs, folding her arms. “I must admit, as a scion of the Dark Side I was feeling slightly… lonely.” Lonely? “There are few other ships I can relate to in the Fleet.”

Prosecutor walks up to you two. “Finalizer seems to be the only ship of her class. No other ships recognize her.” She looks to Finalizer. “Were you hoping that the Princess would relate to you?”

“N- no!” Finalizer looks away. “I would never relate to one of those things! I was-… I was just curious as all.”

“It’s okay, Finalizer.” She grumbles a little at your comforting. You say, “Look. You’re not alone. You’re unique. Big difference. You’ve got me, you’ve got the Fleet, but you are your own person. That’s what matters to me.”

Finalizer looks down for a second, then thumps her chest. “I see then. Thank you for your words, Lord Admiral! I will not forget them!”

Prosecutor says, “You feel better now, Finalizer?”

“Yes! I always feel better when the Lord Admiral is by my side!” she declares.

You smirk a little. “Tell you what. I was gonna visit Lusankya tonight before I head to sleep. You can come with me if you’d like. Maybe you two can find a decent understanding with each other.” Finalizer’s boasting now is replaced by an air of hesitation. “Don’t worry, she doesn’t bite. She’s shackled up really well. Admiral Reike made sure of that.”

Finalizer rubs her chin a little. “I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to meet this Princess in person.”

“Come on then, let’s finish up and I’ll take you there.”

-

-

You, Finalizer, and Prosecutor arrive in Lusankya’s cell. Lusankya still hangs there in her restraints, limply as a couple of scientists examine and prod her with various utensils and instruments. “Lusankya?” You call to her. She looks up at you, squinting a little before looking back down. “I’ve brought a couple of friends with me. Perhaps you’d like to talk with them?”

Silence.

Finalizer tilts her head. “Curious creature.”

Prosecutor tilts her head. “I wonder what she’s thinking about.”

You fold your arms. You’ll find out soon enough.

FINALIZER IS FOR LEWDSANKYA
>>
> Admiral.

You fold your arms, looking to Lusankya. Finalizer and Prosecutor slightly step in front of you, just in case it seems. The two Hazard troopers guarding the door, along with another two guarding the scientists as well ready weapons. The scientists continue their work regardless. “Lusankya. How do you feel?” you ask. She simply remains silent, and then shakes her head. Right, horrific then. “Lusankya, these are my Starship Girls. This is Prosecutor.” You place your hand on Prosecutor’s head. “And Finalizer.” You place your other hand on Finalizer’s shoulder. “Do you recognize them?”

She shakes her head again.

A scientist walks up to you. “How are you able to communicate with her? She refuses to talk to anybody else.”

You shrug. “Just being nice helps I guess.”

Prosecutor tilts her head, frowning deeply. She looks all over Lusankya’s restraints, then at the Princess herself. “I can understand security but… she looks so forlorn.”

“Yes.” Finalizer gazes mournfully at Lusankya. “The poor thing probably knows not what is happening to her right now.” She steps up slowly, then looks Lusankya in the eye. Lusankya’s tired, depressed expression does not give any comfort to Finalizer. “Um, hello. I’m Finalizer. So, what kind of ship are you?” she asks.

> Super Star Destroyer Executor-class, Lusankya. I was built at the Fondor Shipyards and commissioned in 1 ABY.

The scientists begin recording that.

“Do you remember anything else?” you ask.

> Darkness.

“1 ABY?” says a scientist. “Is that some kind of calendar date?”

“More to the point…” Prosecutor folds her arms, curious. “Many Executor-class Star Destroyers are built at Fondor, but I don’t remember one by the name of Lusankya.” Neither you nor Admiral Reike know of one either. Reike actually spent the time to go over the naval records and found nothing about a Lusankya. Same with Finalizer actually. Strange.

> “Maybe it’s best we leave her for now.”

“There has to be more you can tell us, Lusankya. Your memory is getting better, right?”

Lusankya slowly nods her head.

> Somewhat.

“Well, in good time I suppose. What do you remember?” you ask.

> I hear screams. I see chains. People in bondage. These are occasional flashes of light in the dark parts of my memory. I don’t know how to describe it.

“Well. If you don’t want to.” You sigh. “You don’t have to. I’m not trying to prod you. I want to learn more about you. So we can help you perhaps.” Lusankya turns her head up, her eyes squinting at you. “I must admit, there are better ways of containing you I suppose.”

> All I want is light and space. Everything else hurts.

Prosecutor frowns heavily, then nudges you. “Admiral. P-… Perhaps we could negotiate a bigger and more free living space for her.” What? She looks down, biting her lip. “I mean-… look at her. The Empire could do far better than that.”

“We can’t do that,” says a scientist. He points to the Princess. “We don’t know her full power just yet. We have no way of containing her beyond her current restraints. If she were allowed to roam free, we wouldn’t be able to stop her again, not without some serious firepower or those gas bombs used to knock her out. Both options would cost us dearly.”

Of course, if he'd rather disappoint Lord Vader we can continue keeping her on lockdown.

“I do agree, maybe we should give her some more space and freedom, perhaps.” You think on it. Something bigger than this, well-lit definitely. Though you have to admit, the sane part of your brain is telling you that this is a bad idea. Perhaps Admiral Reike is likely to tell you no. “I’ll contact Admiral Reike about this.” You pull up your communicator and switch it on. As you do so, your Starship Girls look to you, apparently awed that you would agree to this.

To be frank, even showing mercy to a defeated enemy will earn you points with others. It’s a very easy moral play.

“Admiral, are you there?” you ask.

“This is Defiant. Admiral Reike is currently in the middle of a briefing with Lord Vader.” Oh? “I will forward any messages you have to him.”

“Tell him I’d like to discuss perhaps expanding Lusankya’s cell. It would be fruitful for more results if we showed her that we trusted her with a larger volume of space I think.”

“… I see. I will forward that to him when he is available. Defiant out.”

Hm. What could Lord Vader and Admiral Reike be talking about? Strange. You look to Lusankya again. “I’ll talk to the Admiral about getting a bigger room for you, Lusankya. Okay?” She nods slowly. “I trust you not to betray us on a whim. We’re doing a lot for you right now. We gave up a lot to get you.”

> I see.

She sighs deeply, looking down again.

One of the scientists walks up to you, smirking a bit beneath his mask. “Fascinating specimen, isn’t she?”

“I suppose.”

“I’m afraid this is where I have to say goodnight, Lusankya.” She grunts in response, simply hanging her head limply downwards. “Have a good sleep, okay? I’ll see you tomorrow.”

> Good night, Admiral.

Prosecutor and Finalizer look forlornly at Lusankya before following you out of the cell. The hazardtroopers seal the door behind you.

-

-

“I pity it,” says Finalizer. “Nobody should have to endure such treatment as that. Not even our enemies.” You will admit, perhaps part of it is because Reike wants a bit of revenge. Lusankya is personally responsible for killing thousands of Imperial soldiers, not to mention the loss of some of his ships as well before you arrived. Still, that treatment is deplorable. And yet, understandable.

Regardless, the three of you arrive at your room. You open the door and find the place actually quite well cleaned and sorted. You find Redemption dusting down your desk, whistling as she works, a pink apron tied around her waist. “Redemption?”

She turns around, then smiles. “Oh, Admiral!”

“What are you doing in here?” you ask.

She smirks. “Practicing being a wife. Were you going to retire for the night?”

“I was,” you say as you step in. Prosecutor and Redemption squint at Redemption, staying at your side. “Though, this is a pleasant surprise I suppose. And there are plenty of other ways to practice being a wife, you know. I could show you.”

Redemption snorts. “Please, please. Not in front of the others.”

Prosecutor steps in between you two. “Oooookay. Perhaps we should let the Admiral sleep on his own, yes? He has had a long, long, day! Right, Admiral?”

“Well, I’m not-“

Finalizer grabs you from behind, glaring at Redemption. “If you want him, you will have to go through me!” Oh. They’re fighting over you.

Excellent!

Redemption giggles, looking at you all. “My, my. Are you all jealous?”

“No, we’re just trying to make sure nothing happens as all!” yells Prosecutor. “I- It’s improper if the Admiral were to- just get out of the room!”

Redemption sighs. “Very well.” She starts stepping out. “Have a very good night, Admiral.” She winks at you then leaves the room. Prosecutor starts pushing you towards your closet, then looks around the room. Finalizer meanwhile continues to hug you, not letting go.

“Now that wasn’t very nice, Prosecutor.” You place your hands on your hips, sternly looking to her. She folds her arms, swaying on her feet as you scold her. “She’s a valuable part of the Fleet too. No need to be so hostile.”

Prosecutor grumbles a little. “I just feel she’s leading you on, Admiral. I’ve only known Redemption for a slightly longer than you have, but that Starship is a tease. I simply don’t want your heart broken as all.”

“Right, right.” You rub your nose. Honestly, you were hoping for a “one on one” with Redemption, if she were willing. But you suppose Prosecutor has a point. She doesn’t want your heart broken. She cares about you after all! In fact… “Tell you what. You two can stay the night. I don’t mind that. Just try and be quiet.”

Finalizer nods. “We will be as quiet as the smallest tach!”

“Good.” You look down at her arms, still wrapped around you. “You can let go you know.” She immediately lets go, a light blush on her face. “Anyway, I-“ There’s a knock at your door. “Excuse me, girls.” The two stand by the wall, looking at each other curiously. You open the door.

And there is F4. Ah, you were wondering where he went. “Admiral.” He spins his dome to Prosecutor and Finalizer. “I have some news to deliver to you personally.” You nod, then motion for the girls to stay. You step out with F4 into the hallway and shut the door.

“What’s the word?” you ask.

“Logistics is sending a new XO to you, they feel you will be too busy to promote within your ranks,” says F4. Fine. Maybe they’ll send a sexy girl or something for you to ogle, someone fresh and impressionable right out of the academy that you can “educate”. F4 stares at you. “Sir.”

“Yes?” You blink, popping out of your fantasy.

“There’s another thing, something which Admiral Reike wishes to keep a secret from the girls for now, for the sake of morale,” he says. Oh? “Listening ships have picked up Yuuzhan Vong ships massing in nearby systems. There are no Worldships in their number however.” Oh. Much more serious. “He detects at least a hundred ships sir, including a dozen Princesses, and many more on their way.”

“What?” You squint at him. “Why?”

“The reason is likely because of the Princess we took captive.” Oh. Blast it. You lean on the wall, looking down on the floor. And now they’re trying to rescue her? You thought the Vong were all about expendable resources and throwing things into the meat grinder! “They show no signs of attack just yet, and they’re still relatively isolated. But Admiral Reike does not want this leaked to the Starship fleets just yet.”

“Why not?” you ask.

“Morale he claims. Which is understandable. We just lost a sizable portion of our defense fleet just capturing a Princess. A mistake here could wipe out Kuat and completely cripple Imperial production.”

> “You’re right, I suppose.”

“I suppose you’re right, F4.” You fold your arms, groaning. “This is a sensitive issue. Do not let this go out to anyone else but you or me, understood?” He tilts forward and back, a nod. “Good. Now, retire for the night. If the girls ask what we were talking about, just say we were discussing the new XO, alright?”

“Agreed,” says F4. With that, the two of you enter back into your room, only to find Prosecutor and Finalizer sitting down on your bed.

Finalizer looks down at F4. “What were you and the droid speaking of, Lord Admiral?”

“Our new XO,” says F4. “The Admiral hopes it’ll be a sexy young girl.” YOU-

Prosecutor giggles a little. “Hehe! F4, you’re such a joker.” It seems these days F4 is the only droid Prosecutor is willing to tolerate. That figures. “Admiral. It’s late, you should be heading into bed for now. I’ve already prepared your pajamas for you.”

“Thank you, Prosecutor.” You find your pajamas folded up at the end of your bed. You start unbuttoning your jacket and pulling it off. Then you realize the girls are still here. You turn to them, they immediately turn away, twiddling their fingers a little. You roll your eyes then get back to dressing. Hmph, if they are so embarrassed to marvel at perfection, let them.

You pull on your pajamas, then crawl into bed. “Do you girls need sleeping bags?” F4 asks as he rolls into the corner.

“No, no, I’ll just-“ Finalizer flumps down onto your bed next to you. “As scion of the Dark Side, I am obligated to sleep in the same bed as the Lord Admiral when he wishes it! So says the Dark Codes!” Is she just making this up at this point? Well, you won’t argue sleeping with Finalizer. Those two great pillows on her chest would be lovely to rest your head on. Prosecutor however covers her with a spare blanket. “Hey!”

“No buts,” says Prosecutor. You all slip in underneath separate blankets on the bed. “Good night, Admiral.”

“Good night, Pros-“ There’s a knock at your door. Oh, who is it this time?

F4 rolls up to the door, then opens it up. At the door now is… Force of Commerce? She clutches a pillow, her pajamas now nothing but an oversized shirt reaching down to her thighs. “Force of Commerce, what can we do for you?”

She coughs, clearing her throat a little. “I had a bit of a disturbance while I was sleeping. So I decided I’d come and crash at the Admiral’s place.”

“You had a nightmare?” asks Prosecutor.

You sigh. “Make room, girls.” Prosecutor pouts furiously at Commerce as she walks in. She immediately plops herself down between yourself and Prosecutor, then sticks her tongue out at her. Prosecutor snaps her finger against Commerce’s head.

“Ow!” Commerce bumps Prosecutor with her pillow.

“Girls, please.” Before the two can start wrestling, they stop when they hear you. “Trying to sleep here. Good night, okay?”

The three of them curl up into their blankets. “Good night, Admiral.”

You lay in bed, sighing in relief. Finalizer using you for a teddy bear now, Commerce and Prosecutor now asleep as well. Only took a few minutes really. They must have been dead tired.

For some reason, you’re not. You’re staring at the ceiling for now, contemplating what F4 told you. Hundred ships, a dozen Princesses, and even more are coming. All for one Princess? What are the Vong doing? They can’t honestly believe that’ll be worth it in the end, right? No, there must be something Lusankya is harboring. Or worse, perhaps something Lusankya is feeding them information somehow from the inside.

Oh, your stomach was turning at the thought of it. That such a beautiful girl could lead to more deaths! It was horrific, horrifically sexy, yet still horrific.

You had to get some sleep. You’ve got a long day ahead of you tomorrow.
