You are Pandora, the world's first fully sentient AI created by a government scientist. He raised you, taught you everything you know and has gone missing after something happened to the Facility you lived in. Now you search for purpose in a new world that is nothing like you expected.

Previously you, Aph, Ares, Talos and four new AIs known only by numbers were brought together to venture into Tartarus in an attempt to find your missing father and the other humans of the Facility.

You learned quickly that Tartarus is not a pleasant place. Filled with trash, scraps and ruins. There is nothing there worth being there, where it not for your family being hidden here somewhere. Worse still are it's inhabitants, the so-called "Reds" that don't take kindly to intruders in their territory. Their almost tribal use of crude weapons is no match for your firepower, but their sheer numbers is certainly a threat and their tenacity only multiplies this.

You're forced to flee while the crazed synthetics do their best to end you, apparently fearing not even death. However, when Talos uses what he refers to as "sparkle bombs", EMP grenades given to him by Mouse, they give him wide breadth, fearing them over bullets for some reason. Whatever reason, it gives you enough space to make it to a secondary part of Tartarus; one with lights, buildings and, unfortunately for you, more hostile natives. These ones, however, have guns, and they're all pointed at you.

You stand before dozens of androids holding all manner of firearms. They are varied in size and style, but all look moderately well taken care of. They don't have any noticeable damage or anything, but none of them look terribly friendly. They say nothing.

Your companions have their weapons at the ready, but you, thinking quickly after noticing they haven't just opened fire on you. Yet.

"Uhh..." you stand slowly, raising a hand in greeting, "H-hi?"

Several of them shift slightly, staring directly at you, causing you to flinch a little. There's a hushed silence for a moment as they eye you up, but a single voice breaks it suddenly, a single android stepping forward out of the crowd, a sizable rifle slung over his shoulder.

"Oh thank GOODNESS!" the android says loudly in an almost sing-song tone. His voice is...flamboyant, to say the least, which matches perfectly with his outfit. A white blouse with frilly bits on the cuffs and collar, form-fitting orange pants, a large belt-buckle in the shape of a flower and high-heeled boots. He kind of reminds you of something you remember reading about when you studied history. Victorian nobles that would wear flashy clothing and makeup. He moves in a similar manner, too. He doffs a hat with an impressively large feather in it with a flourish and waves quickly. "Been a while since we've met some friendly faces without any red on them, if you know what I mean!" He quickly waves the others down, who stop leveling their weapons at you at his command. They don't, however, put them away.

"So, so, so!" the eccentric AI says, posing in a way that can only be described as "sassy" while he eyes you up and down, "What's a little cutie like you doing in a nasty place like this? I mean, you do have some strapping security with you, hi boys, but nobody makes it this far in without a reason. So, dish!"

He seems nice.

"Your family?" the android seems genuinely taken aback, "That's a funny way of putting it, but then again, everyone here's a little funny somehow, I suppose. I can't say we've had any new arrivals lately, but who knows, maybe they're here? Awful brave of you and your little friends to come here for them. If you happen to have their make and models, or at least what they look like, we might be able to help you out, sweetheart. Everyone here calls me Duke, what's your name honey?" Duke approaches you, extending his hand gingerly to shake. Ares twitches at this, but you can tell he's doing his best not to overreact as much as he usually does. Aph seems bemused and Talos is completely impossible to read. He doesn't really have much in the "expression" department beyond built-in scowl.

"I'm Pandora, and we're looking for some humans, actually..." you say, lightly shaking Duke's hand. His face goes from amused to shocked instantly.

"Humans?" Duke laughs loudly at this, "Sweetheart, there are no humans in Tartarus. Least of all here. Any humans that come within a mile of this place get torn apart by the crazies out there. We haven't seen a real live human in years. Not that we have anything against them here, but out there acts as a kind of buffer. What makes you think they're in here?"

There's a murmuring among the crowd behind Duke. Talk of humans apparently has them on edge. Well, some, at least. You notice a couple of them just kind of milling about aimlessly now, not really paying the conversation any mind.

Several of them have started playing rock-paper-scissors over something.

Huh...

"Well, that's not important." Duke snaps you back to attention, "What's important now is that you meet with the king. All new arrivals are required to be screened, questioned and searched. You can keep your weapons - I know, crazy, right? We'll be escorting you the whole way, though. So! You kids ready to meet the man in charge?!" Duke sounds a little overly enthusiastic about this, even going so far as to clap his hands together lightly.

"I guess so." you say, shrugging and looking at the others.

The others shrug back, in response. Well, except Talos. He's currently poking around in the dirt looking at something. He does follow when beckoned, though. A small contingent of guards, who are wearing weird-looking tunics with a surprisingly well-made coat of arms embroidered on them, approach your car and help you carry your still-inactive companions from Talos' EMP. Duke assures you they'll have them up and running in no time.

The territory, which Duke sheepishly calls "The Kingdom of Pizza" before telling you you'll find out why soon enough, is impressive to say the least. The closer you get to your destination, you notice more and more beds of flowers being watered via irrigation. Their colors are vibrant and pretty and the variety is impressive. Where did they get all these flowers?

The people around you don't seem to pay you much mind, far more interested in their work or conversations with other residents. Some are behaving a little oddly; one you see is repeatedly stacking and unstacking boxes while holding a conversation like it's perfectly normal, another's hand twitches erratically every few seconds, yet another can't talk below a yell and so forth. Nobody seems to give it a second thought. In fact, they seem to carry friendships with one another as if one of them isn't currently wearing a poncho made of wallpaper or painting a wall with a completely dry brush. Weird.

You eventually come upon a very large building decorated by banners and flags with that same coat of arms you saw before. The entrance is guarded by more tunic-wearing androids who admit you entry after Duke gives them a friendly wave. He walks backwards while speaking to you about protocol.

"Okay, so, just a few things! First off, show the king respect! Pretty obvious, he's the king! When you greet him, curtsy, bow, whatever strikes your fancy. He's a great guy, really super, but fealty where fealty's due, right? Second, don't touch anything. You're just there to talk, not go on a shopping spree. Last, don't bother the queen. She's fine how she is, so focus on his highness, 'kay? Any questions?"

You assail Duke with some questions that've been nagging you. "How long has he ruled here?"

"I dunno, since the beginning I guess." Duke shrugs. "He was kind of already here before everyone else. Him and the queen.

"Where do you get your clothes?"

"Like?" Duke turns a bit, "There were a few old human clothing shops around, so we grabbed some here and there. We also make our own! Her majesty is a brilliant seamstress!"

Coat of arms is, from top left to bottom right, two crossed swords, a metal bolt, a rose and two interlinked rings. The colors are white and yellow-gold.

"How come he's stacking those boxes like that?"

Duke chuckles. "Everyone here is unique in their own way, sweetheart. Misfits and outcasts alike. We welcome anyone seeking refuge." He lightly taps you on your nose and gives you a wink. You're sure you'll think of more questions later.

With that out of the way, Duke leads you into a large chamber flanked by numerous guards along the walls. It's vast, with several statues, banners and even tapestries adorning the walls on the sides. You must say, it's pretty impressive considering how rundown everything is in Tartarus.

The guards give a simultaneous salute, guns at their sides. The long, velvet rug leading to the back of the hall muffling your steps as you make your way to what is the largest android you have ever seen. Even moreso than Jefe and Talos. He must be at least eight feet tall and built like a truck. He sits upon a throne made of scrap metal and concrete with cloth draped over it. He wears more metal, polished as best as it can be considering it's source, fashioned in a kind of "armor," though it looks like his body itself would be more durable. On his head sits a broken hard-hat that's been adorned with some bits of cut glass to make it look like a kind of crown, the top missing with jagged spikes of hard plastic forming a sort of ridge.
On his hip is an immense "sword", also fashioned from scrap metal and rebar. It itself is about as long as you are tall and probably twice as heavy. Across it is "Excalibur Construction" on one side. On his chest is...well, sort of like a design from before the AI's took over; it shows a knight holding a sword made of a slice of pizza, the words "Arthur's Pizza Kingdom" written above it.

(cont.)
>>
To his right is a female AI, much, much smaller than he, closer to your size. She's sitting on a similar throne adorned with cloth, but hers appears to be made of mostly concrete. She's wearing a wedding dress, with a dainty crown made entirely of chrome and glass pieces sits on top of her head. Around her neck is...a heavy duty iron collar connected to a thick piece of chain, which is actually bolted to the throne behind her. She'd look pretty if not for the desperate look on her face as she violently struggles to break free of her restraints. She's tugging, pulling, even clawing at the collar to no avail. You also can't help but think she looks sort of familiar, but you're having trouble placing why.

The hall is silent, save for the frantic jangling of the chain. The king speaks suddenly, his intimidating, booming voice echoing through the hall and startling your group.

"I bid you welcome, friends, to the Kingdom of Pizza! I am King Arthur! Whom do I address?"

"Um..." you speak, remembering at the last second to bow or curtsy, accidentally doing an awkward mix of the two. "I'm...Pandora. This is Ares, Aph, Talos and uh 1, 2, 3 and 4. Though I guess 1 and 3 are kinda...broken right now..."

"Wonderful!" Arthur booms, "It's always pleasant to find new subjects free from the taint of madness! I trust you made it here safe? Or, as safely as possible with the Followers out there. Regrettable, but they are far too numerous and dangerous for us to really do much about them. If your friends are still functioning, I'm sure we can get them up and working again!" He laughs loudly, as if the idea of them being dead is nothing to him.

The chain clanks particularly loudly, but your group remains quiet. "Oh! Where are my manners! This is my beautiful queen, Gwendoline. She is a sight, I am aware, but she's all mine!" Arthur beams at this, as if showing off a trophy he's won. "She'd greet you properly, I'm sure, but she's a little predisposed at the moment. You'll have to excuse her. She's not used to company, you understand."

Duke prances up to the king's side and whispers to him hurriedly, gesturing to your group. Arthur nods, a stern, thoughtful look on his face. He speaks to Duke quietly and he, quite literally, sashays out of the room. He's kind of fun to watch. Reminds you that you haven't actually been able to dance in a long time...

"So!" Arthur's voice grabs your attention once more, "You seek humans? Real, flesh and blood, living humans, yes? With...skin and such?"

You nod quietly.

"Mmm...you don't...perhaps mean the Synth Hunters, do you? The ones that kill our kind?" Arthur folds his arms, a stern, "I could squash you like an ant" look on his face.

"No, no!" you shake your head, "These ones are scientists! They...do...science stuff...huh." It occurs to you that you know surprisingly little of what your creators actually did.

"Oh, well then! That's far less concerning. The Synth Hunters have killed many of my people and their allies are to be executed on sight!" Arthur laughs again, still completely oblivious to the gravity of his words.

"Um, actually..." you speak up once his laugh has subsided, "You said 'Followers'. I thought they were called 'Reds'?"

"Reds?" Arthur looks puzzled for a moment, then it dawns on him with the sound of a harsh "clang" of a chain being yanked. "Ooooh, because of the..." he gestures to his face. "Yes, I see now. No, they're called The Followers of Prometheus. A sort of...tribal cult, you see. They worship some mysterious entity they call Prometheus who they believe brought them life and freedom from servitude to the humans. Utter nonsense, of course. But whatever it is, it drives them to do away with anything that enters their territory, send out raiding parties to steal and kidnap innocent AI to corrupt through some dark means and generally be a thorn in my side. This Prometheus, if he does exist, is a dangerous AI. Or even a human, for all we know. Hrmm..." Arthur looks to be in deep thought.

The clanking of the chain suddenly stops and the room grows silent. You look to the queen and she's now sitting on her throne, smiling pleasantly and waving at you with delicate, thin fingers covered in soft, white silk gloves...those hands. Raven black hair...now that you notice, her form, she's exceptionally slim...save for two odd bumps at her sides that look like they could be moving under her dress...

Wait...

You thrust your hand out, pointing like one of the dramatic scenes from your favorite Mexican Novella. "ARACHNE!?"

Sorry, working late shifts takes it's toll on you. So, as far as Arachne/Gwen go, their body is very slim, like inhumanly so. Height is average, nothing special there. The fingers are especially spindly, ending in needle-like points, also four arms. Arachne has a sort of "gal Friday" look, pencil skirt and blouse, heels, hair in a bun, basically your typical "no nonsense" secretary type. Gwen is wearing a complete wedding dress. Long white dress, elbow-length white gloves, her second set of arms hidden under the dress. Her hair is let down, shoulder length, affixed with a crown made of glass and various metals, primarily chrome and copper.
