We’ll see.” Her tone is much loftier and happier than her words, but you get her meaning. “Shower and get dressed, because you’ve got a big breakfast to cook. I bet you’re as hungry as I am, too.”

You follow her instructions, still pretty content from last night. Dad really meant what he told you about girls in Loanah. You should call him and check in. Laki’s gone when you get out of the shower. Everyone is gathered in the kitchen and getting ready to split up after breakfast. You let Bella back out, since you almost forgot you put her away last night.

“I’ll still come with you to your contest.” Hana tells Valerie. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

“Thanks!” Valerie smiles.

“I think I’m going to go home for a quick visit.” Polu says while stuff down a pancake. “Then I’ll go to Huka after.”

Valerie nods. “Where are you three going? If it’s on the way to Huka, I can give you a ride.”

Keira looks to you. “I’m good with anything.”

“Tabo is pretty nice this time of year.” Laki says. “But yeah, good with anything here too.” Other than being extra relaxed and doing a little humming this morning, she seems completely unchanged from last night.

It seems like you're just making the other options more palatable, and when we vote to spend time with or do something with Laki you write her in an obnoxious way that's almost guaranteed to make someone mad.

Like Jane, some more emotional honesty would seriously push up my ranking of Laki. Laki was ranked highly for me at first because she was willing to maker herself vulnerable in our first one-on-one scene with her.

I like Laki. Ive been on the Laki boat since thread one. I'm starting to shift though. She's been getting more and more abrasive as we go. It's gone from playful and charming in its own way to abrasive.

I feel like Herb need a to have a serious talk about where they stand. As friends or whatever else. As much as she does obviously like him, she certainly doesnt seem to respect him at all. No relationship can last without respect.

I think Herb should stop with the massages. And if not stopping, atleast keeping it professionally distant.

I think, this is personal mind, that I'm not used to Nuanced characters in quests. Any other quest that would've been a waifu lock and Laki would probably have taken a 180 in attitude. Even in OG Pokemon quest we stuck with one waifu for so long we never really did get to experience some of the nuance in a relationship.

Also it's kind of a reverse Kat x Robin situation, with us on the other end.

She opens the door and heads off into the inside of the ship. You stay out and watch the waves while holding onto the rails. You don’t get much time though, before a slap on the rear brings you right out of your thoughts.

I think the tone was too formal,rehearsed, and made it sound like we were scolding a child. You've gotta cut quickly to the core of the issue so it doesn't turn out like a lecture. For instance, don't talk about the lewd when the point is respect. Furthermore, don't tell people how they feel. Saying "you're not respecting me like you should" is accusatory. Saying "I don't feel like you respect me when you call me Dildo" is better, because it's more specific and doesn't assume that you know her internal world. Be even briefer and informal if possible. "Please don't call me dildo, I don't like it." Or even better: "I'm not liking the new nickname." Brief, informal, unassuming, specific.

Of course, writing realistic dialogue is different from writing diplomatic dialogue.
