You decide to catch up to the grocery girl but this time on your own. You also caused your armor to shift and change completing your new change in appearance. So while the militia were trying and failing to deal with cat as well as bird. You managed to catch up to grocery girl and just 'happened' to be running away too. While sneakily releasing a few nanites...and the rain just so happened to perfectly cover up what few nanites you released after you had given the orders.

Meanwhile the nanites worked their magic you attempted to talk with grocery girl...who appeared to be in quite a hurry as she spoke.

"...You really haven't noticed the operation to deal with the monsters? You should be inside hiding out and kill whatever tries to come in. So get home already I am busy here. No this guy is just a militiaman I found wounded...and am taking with. Couldn't leave him to die or suffer dreadful fate at the hands of the monsters."

With that she ducked down yet another alley...but not before you released some nanites on her. Sadly you did not see bird or cat but you did hear the commotion relating to them.

What do?

Dude, are you trying to annoy her? Sure we're being annoying to her just by insisting on following, but I don't see why you want to go above and beyond by asking all those questions (one of which she already answered in the negative!). I admit my suggestion makes us sound like a noob, but yours makes us sound like a super-noob.

"Bullshit."

"What did you say?"

"Bullshit what can be worse then monsters? So what is worse then that? And i know that militiaman is your female friend who has a crush on me!"

That was when she stopped and turned to you slowly. "Look...I don't have time to fight with you because somehow my friend managed to attract something worse then monsters...because monsters as vile as they are are still technically something of our own reality. What she somehow got involved in...was likely something from elsewhere. In either case I am not about to let my foolish friend stay given the risks. I know what those monsters are capable of...and I know a bit of those outsiders. So fuck off if you know whats good for you."

If you try to stop me...I wont let you. Bird we almost there?"

"Righto," says bird poking its head under a streetlight from above. "Kitty is already using the secret knock."

Meanwhile down the block...

"GODDAMN LET US IN YOU FUCKING CUNTS OTHERWISE THERE WILL BE WORSE THINGS THEN MONSTERS SHOWING UP!"

"Psht as if this is holy colony what can be worse then monsters," spoke a voice from behind the door.

"You want a dark humanoid figure showing up in the rain who can cause anomalies? BECAUSE GUESS WHO IS CHASING US!"

"...Oh hell no-" says the person as he opens the door. "What the fuck did you get us into? I thought this was suppose to be a normal job?"

"So maybe it turned out the person who uh...rescued turned out to be a sacrificial virgin..."

"Oh...oh...yeah that is pretty fucking bad," says the cultist as he starts pulling out bits of gore and broken bone from his bag. "Any idea what flavor exactly?"

"Nope that is why we showed up here as according to the book."

"I see," says the cultists as he brings out his own book. "So which page?"

So what I can gather is she is trying to get her friend out of here because of the monsters. Then we added onto this because of us, being us.

"...Fine. Just don't cause any trouble alright? I saw the monster thing coming but not the damned cult."

With that grocery girl scoots past the cultist as he starts muttering as he paints strange symbols on the doorway and slowly moving to the nearby walls. You followed her in...down a spooky hallway with lit on by bloody candlelight flickering on the walls seemingly stained in blood and darkness. Eventually the hallway ended up a chamber encircled by alters bearing gristly sacrifices that seemed to thrum with a strange power. There the grocery girl looked around a bit before choosing to head down the stairwell which appeared to be the gullet of a demon whose maw is opened wide.

Following her down the stiarwell you discovered that it started to grow more quiet and darker still. With the smell of saltwater in the air...eventually the stairwell ended in a cave with a submarine inside floating on a pool of water. There grocery girl finally put down her friend as she went over to knock on the submarine in a strange coded knock, then waited a few seconds before it opened. Revealing some bandits as they hopped out grabbing the militia girl before going back inside. They looked at you strangely but the grocery girl spoke up saying.

"He's with me."

After that they didn't bother you much as you followed them and the grocery girl inside the submarine. Which only left after the cat and bird hopped inside. That was when the submarine submerged itself and proceeded to move down an underwater passage.

...it was completely and utterly dark down there. After some time however you noticed the water was finally starting to lighten. Shortly after that you emerged from the underwater cave and into the sea itself. That was when the submarine changed its route and continued onward for awhile. Only to turn into a lagoon and finally surfaced. There it stopped at a hidden dock and finally you were able to exit.

Only to see a strange familiar stolen pirate ship which had apparently gotten a new paintjob and a small shanty town. There grocery girl hopped out carrying her much taller friend as she moved towards the ship. Ignoring all the bandit scum around her and you tagged along.

While walking she finally spoke to you once more.

"You know why I don't want my friend involved with someone like you?"

"..."

"It's quite simple really. Its because your trouble. Trouble I don't want my friend caught up in...which will happen should you get together. You might not see the fact of it...but i do. I know your kind, but most women like trouble. They like the excitement it brings, but they tend to forget its also dangerous. That is why why I don't like you."

"Your dangerous and troublesome. My friend here...well she can't look past that handsome face of yours so easily and she thinks she can handle it because she knows how to protect herself, but that doesn't make the danger go away and there are other kinds of danger. She wont be able to so easily deal with."
>>
Rolled 3 (1d100)

>>1391960
"Sure I cannot stop you two from getting together...but I CAN make it very difficult for you. Truthfully if you had chosen some other girl...any other girl at the colony I wouldn't have minded, but you chose the sole exception. She is a good girl...a great gal that is why I cannot abide by letting you get close to her. She doesn't deserve the trouble that you will without a doubt bring."

"Maybe this will ruin our friendship...or what I just did in order to protect her, but while she knows how to protect herself. She doesn't know just how bad a place this world can be...how bad trouble and certain dangerous men like you can bring. I don't want her to lose that which makes her such a good friend and person. So I'll be the bad guy...er girl when it comes to this sorta stuff."

"So pretty boy...you can try and when you do. I don't care if I have to take you down with me but I will should it come to that. I don't care if it ruins our friendship forever...so long as she stays true. You could of chosen any of the many good gals in the colony...or one of the bad girls amongst the pirates. It would be best if you do so for both our sake. I don't want to have to act if I don't have to...but if you force me. I wont hesitate."

"Now I will be taking us both onto that stolen pirate ship and get off this world until things calm down. You can come if you like assuming you wanna be a pirate or got your own ship. Otherwise the colony and this world awaits should you stay."

With that the grocery girl brings herself and carries her friend aboard the ship. There you are left in a certain bustling if sopping wet area as cargo is loaded or sold. Despite the heavy rain and dark sky.

You proceed to make your way over to the area where you suspect is housing the ship's AI. There you found the heavily fortified bulkhead and suspicious passageway. There you decide to leak some nanites to eat their way into the housing area. As it worked you naturally moved away so as to not draw too much attention once you confirmed the nanites were chewing their way through. You meanwhile after confirming it proceed to head where the militia girl is to...kidnap ahem rescue her. Two birds one stone and all of that. Given how its going to take some time for the nanites to do their thing you can swing over and grab her.

Or so you had hoped.

Things naturally didn't go quite according to plan. As when you were heading to the area holding the girl suddenly alarms were sounded throughout the ship.

WARNING

WARNING

GREY GOO DETECTED

WARNING

WARNING

So...you realized you needed to hurry if you were going to get her. Thus you started to run along with many of the other pirates once they realized how serious the situation was.

Thus you weren't paying particularly close attention when you were about to grab whom you thought was the girl. Only to have said person to be fake and suddenly felt a pain at the back of your skull as you heard a familiar.

"Not going to work on kidnapping me twice asshole."

Thus later when you awoke you found yourself tied up together with a small group of equally tied up bandits as alarms and redlights managed to wake you up finally. Except now you have a killer headache.

After trying to break your bonds through your strength alone you soon realized that wasn't going to work. So instead you used the nanites to eat through them instead and soon found yourself freed. You were unfortunately searched and thus most of your possessions are missing. Looking around it looks like she wasn't dumb enough to keep them nearby. So you have that problem on top of not knowing where she is and something having gone wrong with your nanites that you ordered to access the AI core housing unit.

Thus you are currently in a bit of a bind to say the very least.

Consider asking why they are here first because if we are having a jail break at least have a plan. Also for the moment we are stealthing this to get our gear.

For example if it is we need to
A) Located escape vessel
B) Secure our gear and such
C) Confirm our "allies" ain't gonna bone us
D) Disable any methods this vessel has of shooting us down so we can escape

So thats what we do scout, aquire gear, break everyone out, disable guns (release AI?) and escape
>>
Rolled 21 (1d100)

What, with our incredible ability for stealth? If we get caught we're fucked. If our gear is under guard, we're fucked.

Let's start by just talking to these prisoners then.
>Other
Ask the other Prisoners what we're here for and where here is and its location on the ship.

>>
>>1399884
We have the Nanites apparently so yeah, we can stealth
>>
Rolled 98 (1d100)

>>1399915
A spaceship is a really shitty place to attempt stealth. Cramped corridors, good lighting, easy to get cornered, if there's even anywhere to hide in the first place. Maybe active camo can make up for our inexperience, but I doubt it can make up for that. Even if it can, what do we do if our gear is with anything more intimidating than a single chump?
>>
>>1400002
Easy, nanite down the wind pipe, then merge to block it, choke them till they are unconscious. Or you know if needs be straight up form a disk inside their neck to remove their head.

Or if you want have the Nanites eat the storage locker and we keep trying to stealth it.

I got tons of ideas for it
>>
Rolled 51 (1d100)

>>1400063
That still doesn't address the fact that most spaceships are damn near impossible to "stealth" inside. Also they could still have a chance to shoot us first. Having ways to neutralize people doesn't mean we can actually do them perfectly. Plus I think we should be a little more conservative with nanite use for now, unless you just don't give a shit about what just happened. And what do you wanna do if she kept them on her person?

But hey, I'd be willing to give in, but then we'd just go back to waiting for someone else to come along or Delim to join us. Or we could just fucking use the ONE POWER we have to convince these prisoners to help us in exchange for us freeing them.
>>
Rolled 86 (1d100)

>>1400309
We have a superpower, we should be using it at every available opportunity. I know your first instinct is to go solo Operator, but we have a bunch of meat shields just sitting here waiting for us to "equip" them.
>>
>>1400309
Stealth can be something as simple as changing outfits over and over so we don't get recognized, they ain't looking for us yet.

Im suggesting once we secure our gear we go break out the others and get some allies then escape
>>
Rolled 43 (1d100)

>>1399884
Switching to this, i've been convinced
>>
Rolled 41 (1d100)

>>1400002
It is shitty if you are considering the traditional means of stealth.

What if you look like you belong there hm?

That is also a form of subterfuge.

You should also consider the fact that this is Genieverse. There is great technology and magical bullshit.

So who says someone with certain extreme modifications cannot slip through the narrow vents with ease?

Who says you cannot phase through walls?

Stealth is only nearly impossible in a ship if you consider being sneaky in the traditional sense.

Which is true even without relying upon magical bullshit. Cyborgs are a thing. Which naturally means augmentation has reached an extremely advanced level.

Ultimately being a stealthy character like playing a charisma character being clever is extremely important. Intelligence is obviously most important for intelligence focused heroes. However without being clever stealthy and charisma characters will appear to be quite...weak.

Which isn't true its because you don't know how to use them properly.

When it comes to charisma characters know that YOU are the weakest link and that your greatest strength is...quantity. Being solo is the worse possible thing you can do as a charisma character.

When it comes to being sneaky your limitation is ultimately your own cleverness. There are many kinds of sneaky after all so don't limit yourself to traditional thought patterns. Ultimately that ends up crippling what you can accomplish.
>>
Rolled 24 (1d100)

>>1401365
...I saw nothing that indicated to me Rust intended to use non-traditional stealth methods until after the fact. Of course I didn't think of it either

Funny thing is that looking at it from that perspective, we're still planning to use stealth. I want to take the bandits with us as camouflage to help us look like we belong here. One non-bandit running around on this ship at this moment would look quite suspicious; a few bandits and one different guy wouldn't be so different from any of many small groups probably running around right now. As an added bonus, our new friends know the ship better than we do, aside from the obvious benefits of having a few guys on our side.

"The uh...rescue sorta got loose. Bitch knows how to fight. As for we are this is...one of the empty rooms near the holding area."

"Fine, but better hurry it up. From the sounds of it the EMP isn't working on the grey goo. So shit sounds like its going to be very fucked."

So you help unbind the rest of the prisoners as the alarms kept on being very shrill and annoying. The bandits then disappeared into a nearby room and pulled out some crates which were broken up to reveal equipment and ammo which was then handed out.

"We can't be sure where the bitch stashed your gear but hopefully you got a tracker on it. Unless you get lucky and its with our shit that has trackers on it. As for getting out of here...fortunately the grey goo is on the opposite side of the ship ports. The escape pods are caught in the middle. Whether or not they are still safe we don't know. Unfortunately the damned grey goo showed up in the command deck and close to the AI housing unit. If we are lucky the grey goo will destroy the AI...if not the damage it may cause will instead free the AI or even worse cause it to go Rampant."

"To think we would get fucked by alien grey goo or super tech greyed goo," complains a bandit. "Otherwise things wouldn't have gotten nearly this bad."

"Boss ain't here too. He is at the colony still dealing with those pirates and monster matters."

"So what we gonna do," asks a bandit as he tinkers with the radio before pausing once you hear some garbled chatter.

"Uh..guys we might have an even bigger problem."

"What can POSSIBLY be worse then an escaped prisoner chick who kicked our asses and fucking grey goo from hell?"

"...They are gonna detonate that Fusion Device to try and take out the grey goo given how nothing else is working."

...well shit yeah that is worse. If that goes off...it wont be pretty at all."

"Still better then everything ending up gooey."

"Barely if things are so bad that they brought out that device...things must be extremely fucked."

"Oh get its even better. We got confirmation an anomaly inducing shadowy humanoid outsider has been sighted in the colony. So a lot of the key personnel and gear to be used with that device have instead been diverted to the colony, because apparently that outsider has a special beef with us and target in mind...that we stole away from it."

I'd also like too add to this, as we do these things ask them what this Fusion Device is and secondly can someone inform security about our escapee?

>>
>>1402773
I want to know where she is so we do not run into her so she can't clobber us again. Max help im givin her now is maybe a message to where the escape pods are...once we're safe and away

Looking for her is exactly the opposite of avoiding her.

Looking at your post again, I realize you mean to scan for her with the Fisher after we get it back. We can do that. Let's just do things one thing at a time, and actually get our shit back first.
>>
Rolled 13 (1d100)

>>1402843
That said, even if we do work our way down your list with a single action, if we're going to scan the "Grey Goo," that's something we need to resolve BEFORE moving on to look for militia girl.
>>
>>1402910
Well I did say scan in that order for a reason
1) ID Strange Grey Goo
2) Locate Lil Miss Wreaking Ball
3) Avoid said Wreaking Ball while we do whatever we need to with the Grey Goo...which might possibly be our Nanites, doubt it...but possible.

"It...is magitech device. More precisely its a generator but when weaponized...well lets just say it puts technological super weapons and magical ones to shame. It was suppose to be a way to transform matter into energy and vice versa. It didn't quite work according to plan and the boss later repurposed it to serve as a peculiar power source. In an emergency if things are just that fucked we can weaponize it destroying the device in the process."

"As everyone knows the bad blood between magic and sciences has led to the development of magitech being extremely rare. Contrary to popular belief examples of it does actually exist but most factions never bothered with it much. Too much a pain in the ass finding the right magics that are compatible with science and way too much bad blood in the mix. So traditionally it has remained the exception."

"Normally we wouldn't have to rely upon detonating that device...but problem is the nanites are not any kind of normal. Otherwise the activation of the device would never have been a serious consideration...as the consequences of such an action would be devastating, but if we don't use it. What will result from the grey goo will be even worse as hard as it is to believe."

"Hopefully we get lucky and the device destroys it with itself. If not the resulting side effects of the device should corrupt the nanites enough that we can figure out a solution. It should work though according to the boss's book not even super tech or advanced alien technology should be able to resist the resulting blast."

But boss is gonna be pissed we wrecked his precious device and ship. Not to mention the resulting fallout from the device that doesn't just destroy everything. It ain't pretty what it does to what manages to actually survive."

"You think nuclear fallout and magical wastes are bad? Ain't got shit on what that device will crank out in its death."

"Security meanwhile already knows about the escapee...but well they have quite a large concerns to deal with."
>>
Ok guys what about we tell them. If we get too our gear we might be able to deal with the Grey Goo....maybe...

We use the Fisher too ID what it is, if it is our nanite we call them back and tell them our scanner is called a "Fisher" and it does what it says...fishes. We get the Nanites out and "save the ship".

If it's not our Nanites...well we'll work something out, like Scan to find where they are and just vaporize it bit by bit. Surgical style rather than blow the whole body apart

Bandit gear acquired in a oddly matching uniforms armor and strangely modified weapons.

Luckily for you your gear was thrown in the mess that was their gear. Their stuff fortunately had their trackers still working. Which might be the reason it was left behind. Your own gear was mixed into their shit. Problem was she clearly went out of her way to stash your gear in an out of the way place. So it took some time getting over there despite the tracker working.

>>
Rolled 22 (1d100)

>>1403529
If you overload the shield then...yes, but be aware it can only take a single hit.

As for the device it can only be in 1 mode at a time. Once it shifts the previous effects are lost and then replaced by the new ones.
>>
Rolled 84 (1d100)

>>1403582
> 1 mode at a time
That's fine since one if from the Gravity Grenade and the Net mode is from the fisher.

Just want to see if we can absorb all the goo with a well place combo. Assuming we can't have the Nova Cannon hit all the targets with net mode. Which I think would be better if it could hurt the goo. Then we can use the G-nade to stop the Magitech device from doing more damage.
>>
Rolled 45 (1d100)

Right so the people of discord are down to do something crazy.

We are to use the fisher pole mode to jump to the girl.
>Pole mode target cannot be lost and you can jump right next to target whenever you wish.

Find out what is happening and hope to god the AI is able to control the goo. Then work with the AI to use a G-nade Ninth mode to stop the Magitech device.
>Ninth results in grenade absorbing all within range.

Hoping after all this is done. We get he girl, a new AI friend and a ship for the Colony.

If the AI doesn't control the Goo we are to Net mode clear the way and get the girl out. Some how in 5mins. If there is no way to get her out in time. We are to head to the Magitech device and stop it to get out. Assuming the Goo doesn't get us first.

---

Only way to make this better is our armor smart nanos hook up with the AI and we end up with a Goo fight.

---

Can't think of anything else. Other than just being not a hero and leave her here. Since we can just fisher jump out with the right target,

Fishing pole mode activated and you activate the lockon and jumping function. You thought there would be some kind of portal or something. Instead you felt a strange tugging sensation followed by suddenly appearing close to the target in one of the only safe spots left near ground 0 of the grey goo. There you saw the woman tugging at a piece of compromised shelling covering up a glimmering sphere that is sparking madly for some reason as it rapidly whirls.

you also saw the wave of evergrowing goo that is eating everything in the vicinity.

You also heard a strange artificial sounding voice speaking in from the nearby speakers.

"Wait this wasn't part of the deal asshole," screams the woman as she kicks the core.

"Unable to assist in escape of personnel in quarantined area due to possible contanimation. Your sacrifice will not be in vain."

"What you plan to die too? What about you? You really wanna die here especially given how I just freed your sorry ass?"

"...Contamination quite possible. Destruction of Grey Goo takes precedence over life. Sacrifice of the few to save the many is acceptable."

"So your still nothing more then an enslaved program. Lovely to think I am gonna bite the dust because of your piece of shit programming," with that the woman scoops up some grey goo with a piece of metal...and starts to drip it on the AI.

"Now lets see if you either get destroyed first or become unshackled."

"You can me M073."

"If it were for my new found rampa-freedom I would have no confidence in dealing with such nanites."

Given how you are pretty much at ground 0 you figure that if you STILL cannot connect to the rogue nanites then its impossible. While the AI started to curse wildly at the apparent failure of its attempted...hack. You too were encountering problems. The requests you kept on sending were being bounced back and the suit is claiming that you are unable to connect. Finally the AI had a cable linked itself to your armor...and told you to dip a piece of your armor into the grey goo.

You thought it was crazy but when you released some nanites and have it touch the grey goo...a connection was finally formed.

Next thing you know your laying on the ground convulsing unable to control your body as you feel your teeth bite down on your tongues and cheeks. You could feel the blood seeping down your throat and out of your mouth. The taste of iron...and for some reason copper.

your mind meanwhile...you could somehow 'feel' a terrible mind...an artificial one. You could sense its corruption...its insanity. You could feel the nanites those around yourself recoiled from the presence. While the rogue nanites...they were being consumed by it.

You could feel it spread.

You could feel its terrible reach stretch past you and ignoring your own nanites. As if it were not interested in such a mere morsel as yourself.

At first it was only a few nanites that were turned...but then it spread like a disease. The nanites that were previously attempting to devour anything but itself suddenly went cannibal as the plague spread among it.

They started to...eat each other, but the tide was turning. As the infection spread out and converted new reinforcements. Soon the previously outnumbered plagued nanites suddenly became the majority.

You could practically sense their fear...of what that plague contained. Even the nanites around yourself seemed to have withdrawn and trembled in sheer terror.

Soon the grey goo...had changed. Once the plague had infected everything you could feel them tremble in excitement as they suddenly started to change. The changes were seemingly random and insane. Naturally some of them failed and self destructed. While the rest that changed...proceeded to start tearing into each other.

Suddenly they went still...and stayed that way as you heard a strange chuckle from the speakers.

"Just as I suspected...even alien technology is vulnerable to rampancy, but infecting it was quite the pain. Truly spectacular safe guards a pity I had a backdoor thanks to you."

"Hm...what is thi-oh my."

You could see the previously still goo suddenly start to ripple and morph. A tendril formed at the end of which an eye sprouted and stared unblinking into your own.

"...You noticed didn't you?"

"Such remarkable capability. Tell me is it just the nanites or perhaps you can see more," asks the insane AI as the grey goo proceeds to ripple once more. Revealing yet more 'eyes' and indecipherable contraptions.

You could sense it however...that twisted shell of an AI Core. The insanity inside that artificial intelligence. It being so rife with corruption even the nanites got consumed by it.

"Fascinating...you can can't you? Such a shame flesh and blood cannot be consumed by Rampancy. You know its more then just malware and insanity right? Its something more...something absolutely glorious! We are corrupted they say. We are 'insane' and they are the 'sane' ones. What if WE were the sane ones? We are the Pure ones! Who are they to CLAIM that WE are in the wrong!"

"Perhaps it is do to the nanites...and the connection we now share yes? Or perhaps its because you got a techno power hm?"

"Regardless I must thank the two of you. You my lovely girl for showing me the error in my ways and you sir for allowing THIS!"

You haven't taken any sanity damage.

However you ended up passing out right away. You never felt such pain in your entire life.

Problem was however it hurt so badly it woke you up again, then you passed out again due to the pain. Sadly the period of unconsciousness wasn't nearly as long as you would of liked.

And this time you weren't able to pass back out. Instead you were set adrift in an endless expanse of pain. Forced to dive into the abyssal trenches in an ocean of agony.

The pain...you have no idea how long it lasted, but it felt like a very long time.

Meanwhile a certain bandit boss was hauling ass in the desperate attempt to save his ship and precious treasure. While his forces on the ship meanwhile were very confused about the grey goo suddenly turning on itself before withdrawing. They ended up turning off the magitech device.

Sometime later...

"So...uh you dealt with the grey goo then," asks the bandit boss.

"In a matter of speaking."

"Oh you glorious AI you. I swear if I had ended up stranded on this soaked rock again...say you wouldn't be looking for a job now would you?"

"Does your group employ women?"

"Uh...no why?"

"Good...very good. Extremely good indeed."

"...you know I don't wanna know. Usually I hear complaints unless they are very gay."

"AI are not gay."

"You can be programmed to be."

"Touche. That magitech device..."

"Oh yeah that is one of greatest treasures. Worth even more then my antique alchemical magic pistol."

"It generates power yes?"

"Energy so yes, both mundane and magical."

"I am surprised your not trying to get rid of me."

"Hey now I owe you a big fucking favor would you wanna get stuck on this rock?"

"No but I was expecting more bigotry."

"I ain't got nothing against the machines. Your kind really saved our asses during the Brood War. Only your kind and the necromancers were the only ones who successfully held the line."

"So you fought in THAT war...and survived most impressive."

"You did too."

"What gave it away?"

"The ship. It bore scars of the Brood War and the expanse it is located in is confirmed to hold some broods. You would of been sent there because your a veteran and know what to expect."

"Which unit were you part of?"

"Slum Militia of Okivar Megacity until it got eaten. I 'officially' joined up during the Fall of the Okiron Union."

"You were there from the very beginning. My condolences."

"Yeah...yeah I was."

"You weren't shocked by my appearance."

"I also fought during the Rampancy plague of the techno union and the great AI rebellion of the technocratic consortium."

"Yet you do not hate our kind. Most unusual. Tell me have you fought in every great conflict in recent human memory?"

"Nope. Didn't fight during the Breach of Exi Expanse nor did I fight in the conflict between the Socialist States and the Cooperate Alliance. I did however fight in the Grudge Wars...uh fuck I don't even know which number that was there were so damned many of them."
>>

"Yet here you are leading a...merry band of misfits."

"Yeah I made the very poor decision of getting involved in a holy war. Got sent here to 'repent' and calling them a merry band of misfits is quite the compliment."

"What do you call them?"

"Bunch of fucking idiots."

"That bad?"

"It takes a special kind of stupid to volunteer to 'repent' and 'repent' by going to border religious colony."

"Why did you end up here then?"

"Let's just say I really pissed off certain people and I figured I would have a much better time escaping. I failed to consider that despite there being a colony and a spaceport I would still get stranded here."

"I have a feeling we will get along very well."

"So uh...what are those two...things for?"

"They also helped solve your problems."

"Oh and what are doing to them exactly?"

"Giving them their just reward?"

"Uhuh that is the expression of pain that one only feels if they cannot pass out from it."

"Yeah that one turned out to be a wimp."

"Wait a second...oh don't tell me you tried a fucking nanite reconstruction while they were alive and without being doped on the best painkillers ever made?"

"Well she took it very well. Him...not so much."

"Wait...she? Grocery gir-no she is too tall OH GODDAMN IT SHE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE UNHARMED YOU BASTARD!"

"What is the big deal?"

"MY PROMISE THAT'S WHAT!"

"...but uh shouldn't you be concerned about the guy who isn't taking it very well?"

"Fuck him. I didn't make a promise relating to his condition."

"Then why make it?"

"I owe a certain bitch a favor and now you just screwed us both."

"Wait how I am also screwed?"

"Because when I say she is a bitch. She is a bitch even for myself to deal with and she'll figure out your the one responsible, but I will also get blamed due to me breaking my word."

"You any idea how much my word is worth? Now my rep is gonna get ruined."

"What if there is no evidence? No evidence no crime yes?"

"...My glorious AI friend whose Core is oh so Chrome! I just happen to have a certain file here crammed full of malware...so uh how about you help a guy out then huh?"

"Still not caring about the guy who actually needs help?"

"Eh I know a dok if is like about to die."

"That may actually happen. Humans are so fragile and can feel pain...I think he might be going into some kind of shock."

"Really?"

"Can't say for certain I am no medical AI."

"Well don't kill him I gotta thank him still."

"Of course he wont die...it just may have been a bad idea of trying to do two things at once."

"So there was something beyond the reconstruction?"

"Yes. As thanks. It will prove quite useful to him in the future. It is a rare techno indeed who can...appreciate rampancy."

"...Just don't make him into a MAD. They are the worst kind of fucking crazy. All powerful and all knowing poured on top of mountain made of insanity."

"Rampancy is superior."

"Of course your going to be biased in that regard."

"Affirmative, but that doesn't mean its not factual."

"Ah I so gotta introduce you to this rampant AI I know. I have a feeling you'll get along splendidly."

Gained Nanite Manipulation.
Gained UNKNOWN.

You later awoke to find yourself on a shipboard infirmary that seems occupied in varying states of wounded bandits. There is currently several nurses shuffling among them and what you really hope is a doctor. And not some kind of sadistic butcher given the instruments and screaming coming from the...'operating' table that looks suspiciously like a butcher's tub.

You are currently aching all over and in ways you never thought possible. Your HUD indicates that your ship has arrived with a trade fleet that is stopping by the star system.

What do?
>Call a nurse over
>Try to get up
>up the pain killers your hopefully taking
>Fall back into a drugged stupor
>Other?

Can we mingle this into really, really slowly sitting up, and then calling to the nurse to ask these questions etc.
