New players are always welcome!

In this quest you assume the role of an aspiring student who is about to enter the Mageknight Academy. You must hone your skills, make some friends (and perhaps also some enemies) and fight battles in order to prove yourself worthy of graduating as a fully fledged Mageknight! Each year (every 100th turn) your character will be tested by the academy to see if your character is progressing well and meeting the Academy's high standards. After the 3rd year your character will head off into a their first mission for a final test.

How to Join:
New players must fill out their character sheets. The sheet must include the following information:
>Anyone can join at any time. Latecomers and laggers are given bonus action points to catch up with the other players.
1) Your character's full name
2) Your character's backstory, appearance and any other useful information.
3) You are given 3 Skill Points. Choose 1 starting spell and 2 other skills or spells.

How to Play:
1) Each turn you will be given 2 [Action Points]. Post your character sheet and your chosen actions along with a 2d100 roll.
>Normally your roll must pass the [Difficulty Challenge] of 25 in order to succeed.
>Getting a 10 and below is a [Critical Failure] while 91 and above is a [Critical Success]
2) All players must wait for the "TURN GO" post before submitting any actions posts. After which you must post your actions only to that post.
3) After all actions are processed and a new turn begins, update your character sheet.

Acquiring and Improving Spells & Skills:
1) Study, research, explore, train or take classes to discover and learn new spells.
2) Training an already learned spell or skill will raise it further to the next tier once enough [Progress Points] are accumulated.
4) The progress threshold is based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,2,3,5,8,...)
>Usually Spell and Skill tiers are named as Basic => Intermediate => Advanced => Expert => Master
>Alternatively you can label the tiers as T1, T2, T3 and so on.

Spellcrafting:
Spellcrafting involves fusing spells with various skills, knowledge and even other spells that your character has learned together creating a new spell or skill.
>The name of the resulting new spell will be determined by the QM. By default it will be "Cast A B C..."
>Your dice roll will affect the result of the spellcrafting. Lower rolls will result in weaker or negative version of the intended spell and vice versa.

Social Interactions:
1) Role playing with other players is a free action. Role playing with NPCs, however, will cost an action point to do so.
2) Collaborative Player-to-Player actions like trading, tutoring and PvP, will cost an action point to do so.

Combat:
1) Post 2 actions like you normally would. Your opponent will roll their own 2 actions.
2) To defeat your opponent, you must overcome their defensive or evasion roll and vice versa
>If you have not rolled an evasion or defensive roll then your opponent must pass normal DC to hit you and vice versa.
>If both combatants attacked successfully then it's a Double KO.
>If both combatants defended successfully then it's a Stalemate.

Of course this comes with a hook already. The last thing you find is a Grivel tactical hammer, one with a long handle and one with a small handle, which you know is used to assist you in climbing. Its used to bash on the wall and use it as a support for your weight. This is even sometimes tied to the rope

I feel a surge of inspiration upon me. Quick to the workshop!

Do: Use Pandoran Production to remake my MOD GUN into a Sniper Rifle with a few added features such a collapsible stock, Laser Scope, telescopic barrel that extends for sniping/retracts for storage and can fire in short 2 shot bursts in exchange for being close-to-mid range instead of Long Range like Sniper Mode. Sniper/Assault Mode uses .338 laupa rounds and the under mount is a 12 gauge shotgun that can also shoot 20mm grenade/gas capsules. Adding the usage of enchantments such as spatial warping and kinetic reduction to reduce the gun's recoil (hopefully recoil less) and also give some explanation on how it compresses along with good engineering. More explanation in the following post.

With your inspiration kickin in and all your knowledge you start the arduous process of disassembling your gun to make room for improvements and with a list of what you would like to accomplish you start tinkering. You engineer a [Beautiful foldable stock] that is both elegant and pretty darm functional. You manage to build a [Laser Sight], even when you don’t know a damn thing about lasers. You only read a small excerpt online and with that you managed to do it. The [Telescopic Barrel] was a very easy feat for you with [Transmutation]. You added a quick [Mode Selector] near the trigger for easy swapping between sniping and assaulting, or for no-scoping noobs.

Using spatial warping you manage to make the gun completely recoilless but a bit on the heavy side. You feel pretty accomplished with your new Modgun.

After hearing the notice of the Inter Academy Tournament, you go for the sign-up sheet and fill it up. When you go to submit it to the Student Council Assistant, she says that the signs up have been extended until we get the proper paperwork from Madrid.

With your sensitive but enhanced eyesight, practicing your Spirit Gun is a walk in the park. You shoot every target on the center and you gather a small group of people that are in awe of your shooting proficiency.

You wait near the mysterious cave, thinking worriedly about what could dwell down there. But, as time pass, you realize that it doesn’t matter. They’re just ghosts, after all. Shadows of the past, unable to hurt you. To put it simply, you aren’t afraid of no ghost. This makes the long wait a lot more bearable, and when she finally arrives, you are confident, at ease. Whatever it is, you and your friend will take it on, and win.
>You gained the [Bravery] perk. Gain a +10 on any rolls to resist fear. Note that this only affects fear, any other mental effects remain unaffected.

After you managed to reassure yourself, you were able to cram in some swordsmanship training while waiting for Dania. You mostly work on your stance since you don’t have a dummy or a sparring partner. You move around while staying on guard, striking down imaginary foes. Ghosts could be coming from anywhere around you, so you work harder on your situational awareness. You try to see the whole picture at all times, even while attacking. You don’t really know how much your training helped, but at the very least, you know that it got you used a little bit more to your weapon, and that’s always good.

You meet up with Adal, finding him in the middle of some sort of sword training. Before you two enter the cave, you ask him to show you his boots. He obeys, and you enchant them with your catwalk spell. The soles of his shoes start shining as a cushion of mana forms under them. You give the boots back to your friend, and prepare psychologically to enter the cave while he puts them back on. The night goes on as you both delve deeper and deeper into the cave. For about half an hour or so, you could find nothing but the sounds of squeaking of bats as you walk upon the rough paths of the cave. Eventually, the cave walls grow larger and as you put the lantern to see higher, bats nest above and different paths have finally shown itself. 3 paths can be seen, each having some kind of runes etched to the right of the openings. The walls start right and you notice the it becomes smoother as it goes closer to the pathways. Let me fix this.

After following the light, you start to see a clear flow of a nice blueish color start to bounce in the walls. Following the light, you finally hit a ledge and what you see is beautiful. You see a small spring glowing with light. Where this light source is from, you can't tell. The pond floor can't be seen with the bright glow. The roof from the water is not very high, only being around 10 to 15 feet. The walls are rough around and you can see a small 3 by 3 foot hole that leads to another room.

You go into the Library and ask the librarian about the mythology section and about the coins. She points you towards the second floor towards the Mythological books. You log into the computer and go to check the shelves for the books you thought. After a while you have a really high stack of books for you to check out. And methodically you start to check out each book for the information regarding fate, coins and history.

After checking about a whole stack you start to notice an alarming trend, almost all of the books have been defaced with permanent markers. All the phrases that correspond to the fate and coins have been blacked out, the images and illustrations have been defaced and some of the pages have been torn off the books. You start getting weirded out about this because book after book, you find the same thing. Everything defaced and censored. You do the right thing and report this to the Librarian. She thanks you and takes the piles of books away.

After walking out of the Library disappointed, you start the hike back to campus. On your way you find an old man wearing a hood lying on the opening of an alley. “Hey kid, want to know about the coins, eh?” This piques your interest as the man continues to ramble. “You think they are a joke, right? Something out of myths and curiosities sold to tourists, huh? They are wrong, those coins are real as you and me kid. I have seen what they are capable of, I have seen complete armies decimated thanks to the fate of the coins.” You can see his twisted smile. “Obviously these coins are only given to the real people of the Lord. People that the Lord has specifically chosen to do his work here in Earth.” He pauses for a moment as he stands up. “Do you know about History? Do the name Pelagius of Asturias? What about Pepin the Short? Probably this name sounds familiar to you, Pope Urban the Second?” He stares for a moment to react. “Sure those were extreme examples” He spits and continues “But the coins were involved in all of that. The coins gave them their calling. And they aren't the only ones. Joan of Arc?” He steps aside clears his throat. “Those coins are given to Servants of the Lord, the Venerable ones, the Blessed ones, the Saints. You catch my drift, son?”

I just cut myself with that edge, boy.
You decided to reject your humanity, at least for a small moment, to channel your inner beast into the overworld using yourself as a conduit. You use a portal to open a connection to the [World of Midnight] and do the small projection ritual to try to bind the image of [the Beast] to your body. For a moment, everything goes black and you feel like you are about to pass out but also feel the extremely strong, maybe you aren’t just projecting the image of [the Beast]. You feel a bolt of darkness shooting through your body, painful but at the same time soothing, quickly you try to look yourself in the mirror to see if it worked and it does! You can only see how horrifying the face of [the Beast] is and after a few moments you fall unconscious to the ground.

Apparently, circuits all have to be in a closed loop with the battery, and you learn that parallel circuits share the same voltage, but have different currents, while circuits in series share the same current, but have different voltage. And, Boolean logic is basically just a bunch of garbage about true/false tables and things, which all seems pretty easy.

This week lessons goes about Alternating Current, the professor starts with some pretty complex mathematical formulas about how to understand the word Power in a electronics class context. He also gives you the recommended books for this class and says that one of them will be pretty special and our guide for the following classes. [The Big Book of Electricity Theory] he reads aloud from the book, gives some examples and starts to work on the problems written down in the Textbook. The Second lessons goes more in depth about the AC Current Waveforms. This is getting pretty interesting really fast and you consider purchasing the book.

Not bad but I still need to fix a few things. He makes sure the wards are turned off as he starts working on a helmet/gauntlet combo and tweaking the suit.

Do: Create Pic Related. A Helmet that can completely cover the face but can open up the mouth for easy speaking and also so I can eat with a pair of gauntlets that sync with the suit and are a hybrid of the Intel gloves and the power glove. The left glove would have the power glove keyboard and the right glove would have a projector/scanner (think Star Wars) with a processor that allows it be used as a computer in conjunction with the keyboard on the left .

The gauntlets would be able to be used as a computer that connects to the disc interface with the suit and displays the info inside the helmet. They would also be able to keep a firm grip on objects I'm grasping and have a magical lock with objects I'm holding via enchantment, especially things I created (MOD GUN) to prevent disarmament. The helmet in conjunction with the scanner in the gauntlet can store data such as pictures and an analysis of what's scanned as an action such as chemical composition, age, etc. In combat it can be used to lock on to the opponent's magical signature which would give a +2 bonus to accuracy checks to hit the target.

Do: Repeat the last action if the previous action failed. If it succeeded work with my ComTux to have it attuned to my my magic signature and my MOD GUN so it does not affect my outgoing magic spells or MOD GUN attacks.

-Clue: The Coins are divine gifts from Heaven, given only to chosen people to help aide them in their holy missions. And the "Witches", the creators of the coins, were something more akin to prophets

It was a somewhat an unexpected appearance, an old man dressed in robes selling information about the coin, but at a price the young man could not afford, especially with his investigations depending entirely on the object at hand "I thank you for the information, but I have to refuse the offer, especially since I've already know much of what you've said, in particular the more 'peculiar' part about these coins" Said Zav, taking a short pause to give a slight sigh to follow through with his reply. "If you really know the importance of the coin you know full well that I can not hand it so freely, much less to someone I just met in an alley in the middle of the town." raising a more intimidating instance compared to his previous posture young Erdna raised his voice to a heavier and more threatening tone, with a angry look on his face he asked the unknown oldman in he alleyway "Who are you? How do you know that I have one of the coins and how did you know where to find me?" with his threatening tone Zav hoped to make this person tell the information he wanted to know.

Taking a closer look to the chest plate with his family insignia Zav responds lessening his suspicions with certain surprise in his eyes "That's responds a lot of things actually." more calm than before the young knight continues to reply "I accept your proposal to follow you, there's a lot of questions that require response right now." with this the young man begins to follow Elbert.

The trip back to the Academy turns to be a silent one. He walks with his right hand hidden under his robes and with a serious expression on his face. You look at him at his expression changes to a friendly one; you feel like a little kid before with all the guards of the house.

When you arrive to his hut in the woods, he asks you to wait outside. “It’s safer outside than inside.” As he enters the hut you notice a Sword and Shield with the Georgius Family Coat of Arms on one of the wooden walls of the hut.

He gets out with a few pieces of wood and he lights a small bonfire. He places a small pot on the fire and tells you he’s making tea. He clears his throat and coughs a little.

This, this... is kind little hard to believe but living in a world where are people that can bend time and space by will is a little unbelievable too "But what happened after that ray of light descended from the skies? How he defeated the demons?" So many questions popped up on Zav's mind as he drinks the imported tea that Elbert had offered, how he never this storie before?

The sun starts to set as the tale was told.

As he says this an arrow falls on the bonfire. The arrow tip is covered in strange runes that you cannot decipher and the rest of the arrow looks like a piece of charred wood. The mysterious arrow made the flame of the bonfire change to a deep purple color. “To the hut, young Knight!” He pushes you to the side and a rain of arrows starts to fall down. He takes one of the embers from the flame with his bare hands and throws it towards the woods. This lights up a nearby bush and you can see 4 mysterious silhouettes coming towards you.

Taking visage of the people charging in his direction Zav drew his Zenith lance while he asked confused "What's happening old man? How are this people?" asking this the young knight follows Elbert's order to enter the hut for protection against our enemies.

Inside the hut Erdna tries to concentrate on his senses to try to identify the enemy attacking them, and with luck counterattack if possible.

Taking both the equipments that the old warrior offered him Zav asked a last question before the before the confrontation begin "There's something a must know about them before we fight? Like a weak spot or weakness?"

Wearing the leather armor the young knight was ready, with both shield and lance in hands and leather armor in his body he was ready for the battle to come. Waiting for the action of the enemy Zav casted Spirit Overdrive to enhance his senses e to help detect any trick of the enemy alongside giving him a better aim.
