For realsies this time.

Today has not at all been a good day for you. As when you tried to get snacks before your trip you stumbled upon a monster den and had to fight for your life(as well as snacks). Then when you finally got to your destination you somehow pissed off these huge sea monsters that proceeded to chase you through the underwater ruins and even up to the surface. Who would of thought sea monsters hated selfies so much?

Finally upon your return you realized the colony was in deep trouble. As there was no militia patrols inside its borders and everyone including the monsters were huddling in fright and hiding out. After some investigating the one girl you sorta knew was ambushed by some bandits and proceeded to get kidnapped after being tricked by her 'friend' and your longtime customer.

Thus you decided to chase hoping you could rescue her and get out of there in time before shit really hit the fan. Alas you were not that lucky. As soon as you started to rush over things went to hell. Monsters started to pour out of the colony and monster hunting forces started pushing into the colony from the surroundings. You were thus caught right in the middle...and you needed to somehow get passed them in order to rescue her in time.

Well hopefully they would be too distracted by each other that they wont pay much attention to you...but alas. Those monsters seem to have the biggest hateboner for you. To such a degree they were ignoring the monster hunters in order to come at you instead.

Today is really not your day and is it just you or for some reason do monsters REALLY have it out for you?

Be aware that you only have so much time before the kidnappers get away but at the same time the seemingly shortcuts isn't necessarily the best option either.

You noticed a problem...from where the densest concentration of monsters. Just so happen to be between you and the kidnappers. Plus those monsters seem to be especially full of hate towards you for some reason. So its not like you would just be able to circumvent them so easily...especially with how strong the hate flows and you don't think you may have enough time otherwise.

So you charged at the oncoming monsters revving up your alien plasma gun and becoming very thankful for the alien armor given how many times it has been shot and how many strikes it blocks from the monsters. Soon however you found your assault becoming increasingly slowed...due to the sheer unshakable swarm of monsters that are using their very bodies to block your way and even more shocking is the fact that they are mostly ignoring the oncoming militia and monster hunters. They instead appear to be most intent on killing or at the very least stopping you.

On the plus side you no longer need to aim in order to hit the monsters given how they are swarming all over you. Down side is...you really aren't making very much progress and according to your scanner the kidnappers are getting away.

What do?

Meanwhile in a certain part of the colony...

"Uh boss we sorta have a big problem in regards to retrieving the package."

"What do you mean by big problem? This was suppose to be a quick snatch and grab before the shit hit the fan."

"Well that is just the thing boss...the shit hit the fan right when we got the package...and now they are stranded in that shit show."

"...Well fuck so much for this being a quick and easy job."

"Oh it gets even worse boss...because the monsters highest concentration is located at in the shady district and real close to where we parked our ship."

"...Oh...oh goddamn it. GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!"

"..."

"...hah looks like this kinda clusterfuck is going to require me taking personnel action. Send out bird and cat along with the other sneakiest type to help them out. Primary forces are to wait here on my command...for now I gotta stop by a certain meeting."

"Uh...Boss...out there is all the monsters. Even if we escort you...none of us would make it far before we get swarmed and torn to pieces by those monsters."

"Yeah exactly...which is why you all are staying here," finishes the boss before going through the door and straight into the highest concentration of monsters in the entire colony. With nothing but a strange looking suit a bizarre looking energy pistol in one hand and an antique looking pistol in the other. All the while smoking a cigar under a hat into the heavy rain with the grounds crawling with monsters.

"Now," says the boss." Whose first," he continues as he brings his two pistols up and pointing at the monsters who dared to step up. "Well now...what a nice change of pace to get some volunteers for once."

With that a huge energy beam exploded out of the crackling high tech pistol decimating all in its path. Vaporizing the rain into steam in an instant, leaving nothing but seared giblets, and smoking earth that was soon turned into swiftly filling stream. While the other pistol unleashed a bang which resulted in a strange bloom out of the gun. Which caused the rain to stop and hover in the air...before strange moving as if they were caught in a whirlpool. The strange whirling bullet first twisted the air....then the water and finally solid earth. As it dragged up the ground, sent monster screaming into whirlpool, and caused nearby buildings to crumble. Before just as it appeared and slowly built up...it too slowly started to fade. Leaving nothing but a stretch of barren desolation with no evidence of what just happened except for a strange bright light that appeared to be a small sun that for some strange reason looked like a strange magical flower before collapsing in on itself turning itself tiny black bleed that gently fell to the ground...in the exact center of the desolated landscape.

That was when the boss casually spat out his spent cigar and muttered two words to the remaining monsters. "Whose next?"

Meanwhile in some part of the colony some kidnappers carrying a KOed militia member and accompanied by a woman. Who carefully sneaking their way through the side streets. Trying to do their best to slip quietly past the moving and fighting militia and monsters. Only problem was every path they took kept on being blocked off by one if not both forces. They were quickly running out of options.

"Damn it...what terrible luck. Not only did they start the fighting just after we grabbed the person...now we cannot even find a fucking way through," hissed a kidnapper.

"What if we slip out of the colony into the surrounding wilderness and head back to base?"

"Idiots," hissed the woman. "The militia commander isn't stupid. The entire colony perimeter will be locked down tight to prevent any monsters escaping the purge. They'll kill anything that tries to escape...but if we take a ship then we can simply fly out of the barricade."

"Yeah yeah little witch but every goddamn route we have tried to take to the spaceport is blocked by one if not both forces. We are quickly running out of options. If you didn't get the boss to delay and grab your little friend we would of been long gone by now..."

the woman merely sneered and chuckled at the man. "It if is fortunate the boss is in charge and not you."

"Why you littl-" only to be interrupted by a strange squawk from a bird.

"twiddle Dee, twiddle dumb, and an evil bitch kidnapping an innocent little militia boy to ravage at her leisure."

"I think its WITCH, she is not fit to be a dog," hissed a feline looking creature as it climbed down as slippery wall without problem into the shady and now quite soaking alley.

"That is because your afraid of dogs pussy! So of course you will try to deny it but i a mighty bird with wings need not fear a measly dog!"

"Oh god it those two," practically weeps a kidnapper.

"I didn't even say aloud 'oh how could it possibly get any worse' and look at what happened anyway," complained the bandit carrying the 'package' but before the other kidnappers could reprimand him. The seemingly knocked out package lightly coughed and brought up a gun before saying.

"You can put me down now."

All these crazy rolls is payback for not running this past week ain't it?
>>
>>1357177
The dice liked my perfectly executed plan. A simple pincer should work on these guys well, considering they are agro, they are intelegent and may even have a comander of sorts but the rage and more importantly how much resource they committed they are, accomplishing their objective must be really important. They overplayed their hand, and are stuck either wiping themselves out or running, this seems like a major play for this type of monster I doubt they have much of a back up plan.
>>
>>1357206
I'd argue however such an attack only works if you have the man power to surround/pincer the enemy. Secondly even assuming we can there's an old saying "Quantity has a quality all of it's own". Personally I think the only reason this may work is because of the Nat100
>>
>>1357467
I would be amazed if there wasn't enough man power not around. We have the colony, the hunters and monster hating pirates after the target.
>>
>>1357530
Considering currently it looks like their plan was contain and then most likely either...

A) Slowly channel everyone outside containment one by one after alot of scans
B) Closely close the circle and straight up purge the place

I don't think we would have the man power. If your trying to hunt an enemy that looks like the civilian population even if they are openly hostile we would not go on an attack like that. The number of people to make a secure containment zone and maintain the no mans land buffer zone is enormous

You'd either do the methods mentioned above you'd do something called "Concrete Islands" my old man called them, which are really, really slow but effective and thorougher. Basically purge block by slow, step by step so there is never a break in the line. Bit by bit you move as a screen cleaning things up building by building, block by block. But that takes a really, really long time. You'd also have to start air flights and announce anyone leaving buildings gets shot, this also prevents hostile forces from gathering or communicating.
>>
>>1357206
Heh, RNG likes cool things a lot of times
>>
>>1357547
I guess we will see what happens then.

Up side since we are a beacon for the monsters (likely because we started this war on them). I feel it will not hurt the line to much. Plus our also prefect info gather/scanner. Is something that will help them clean up any that try to move around. Assuming that it's range is a sizeable chunk.

We must have more man power seeing as they use our own people against us, so unless they have taken control of a majority of our population we do outnumber them alone, not to mention we have reinforcements, also not to mention previous scans show our military is mostly intact so our best fighting forces will be up against the monsterized local rabble, who likely have less fighting skill and certainly less equipment. There is no way they can win this in a straight fight. That is unless the monsters are expert fighters, possible, but as body snatcher style monsters I would imagine their less than optimal host bodies couldn't compete with trained, hardened space police.

You decide to rally incoming friendly forces. Who were an odd mixture of professional monster hunters, militia, and...pirates. Using the forces you took it wasn't too hard to pincer the incoming monsters between you and another force of friendlies. Mostly due to your fancy scanner telling you where friendly forces are and the monsters really hating you enough to ignore some of the other threats. Soon the monsters found themselves slammed between your forces, allies, and buildings. It was only then the monsters realized they were in trouble and proceeded to disappear into the buildings and underground. Climbing up walls, jumping through windows, or simply tear grates off and diving below.

You meanwhile were able to link up with a forward command posting which had a few officers, comms, and support hanging around a building that was under heavy guard. Inside you were able to show them a scan of the battlefield with your tech. Which according to their own reports...yours was much more in detail. After realizing this fact and sending out some forces to confirm(aka breaking into a few buildings that held civilians or disguised monsters). Once it was confirmed there was an explosion in chatter over the radio over the new found discovery and the result of your alien tech scans were downloaded into the network.

After that you found yourself wandering what you should do...as the militia assault as slowed down a bit as they were now going through purging block by block according to the info you provided. The perimeter of the colony meanwhile was still under close guard...but the monsters and that missing person was still out there.

It is unknown as to what the monsters are planning next.

Seeing that things were mostly in order. You decide it was time to track down the kidnappers like you were previously intending until the monsters decided they had a beef with you...again. Which is strange given how you don't recall having really done anything that could piss them off so badly.

So you walked in the rainy streets following the tracker surprised that the monsters were for once leaving you alone. So you were finally able to make some ground...at least when you didn't detect monsters or fighting. You always made sure to take the long way around whenever that happened given how obsessed the monsters are. Which did certainly create some delays.

You knew when you got there because besides the heavy downpour and flooded streets. Along with darkened street lights...the buildings were all without much light along the street. You found where the kidnappers were. Located in a warehouse area close to the space port. It was hear you heard a very familiar screeching bird and hissing cat person.

"Bloody fucking idiots letting a little girl beat them up," hissed the cat.

"In their defense she is not a little girl," countered the bird.

"Oh yeah like getting beat up by a woman is much better."

"Hey at least she fought like a woman!"

"...How wasn't she?"

"You ever seen how poorly a woman combatant is when she fights like a man?"

"P...point taken. Well at least we are almost there but...uh where the fuck is everyone?"

"Maybe hiding from the rain...unlike a certain dumb ass cat."

"You ever tried to sneak around when its raining and not get wet?"

"Oh how I love water proofed feathers."

"Oh yeah rub it in...but seriously you seen anyone?"

"Nope."

"...Well that isn't good."

"Backup plan states to retreat to the ship."

"Are you purposefully forgetting the fact of how important this spot is? You any idea how fucked things must be if they aren't here?"

"Then should we not hurry to the ship?"

"No you idiot. There isn't any sounds of fighting there which is even worse sign. Fuck why do the damned militia bastards have to jam the damned frequencies..."

"...This is situation is indeed appearing to be very fucked."

"More like extremely. Goddamn it let me bring out that manual the boss hands out that contains all those plans that we are suppose to follow...i don't even know which number or letter we should be on at this point."

"Better make it make it quick. Who knows what the hell else will go wrong."

"Yeah yeah bird brain using your bird eyes to keep an eye out."

"...In the rain?"

"Well you DO like to brag about how good your eyes are so get using them."

"Fuck you its pouring and nighttime. You have better eyes at night!"

"Can you flip a page without tearing it with those oh so sharp talons that you cannot shut up about?"

"Why the hell is it you only pay attention to my bragging when it comes to using it against me!"

"Oh hurry it up already. I don't wanna be found by the monsters!"

"...Your forgetting the important fact those are human preying monsters. Either one of us human?"

"Our package is you idiot."

"...Oh fuck that's right where did we stash that package anyway..."

"I thought you had her?"

"Didn't you have her."

"Oi you bunch of fucking idiots I am the one who has her," yells a strangely familiar female voice belonging to one of your best customers. "And what the fuck did you give her...she is still KO and is heavy as fuck. Goddamn why did she have to take out the muscle..."

"Oh right we completely forgot you were there," says both bird and cat at the same time.

"...i swear when I am done here I am SO making a fur and feathered coat from your hide and feathers."

"Just keep your friend doped up," mutters the cat.

"Yeah and eye on her too! Bitch did some serious damage before we took her down again."

Ok we got Bird Brain and Pussy Cat to deal with besides our best customer.

>Time to breach and clear
Cook a number of low gravity nades and chuck them from the front door through the roof or a high window make sure Cat and Bird are in the air and vulnerable then using the Electro mode target them through the walls and hit them with an Electro Bolt enough to K/O them at the very minimum, no half chances. So they can float in the air nice and useless then that leaves Miss Food Runner.

Throw in a sucking nade to draw her into the open or make her dive for cover then, chuck on in to increase gravity to hold her in place and unable to move.

Give her a cheerful wave and run away back too command with the package.

............................................................................................................................................
If the whole plan goes to shit instantly: We just walk in full Predator Mode and let out a cheerful "Hi" and friendly wave. "Could you kindly return that Militia Woman to me, I believe she wants to stay". Have a Nade ready to repel the Cat and Bird from us if needs be and shield ready to protect us.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about this. We kind of owe those guys for saving our ass. It'd be a different matter if we could be sure this is in fact the right thing to do, but let's think about this. We're in a small colony with as big a battle as such a place allows going on between shapeshifting human-eating monsters on one side and monster hunters, militia, and pirates on the other. The catch is that the monsters really fucking hate us specifically (I want to find out why that is btw) so it's a terrible time for us to be carrying around a rescuee. She can take care of herself and would actually be an asset...if she hadn't been heavily sedated; that throws a wrench in our plan.

It just doesn't sit right with me to start a fight with people who don't want to literally eat our face when there are people around who do. Also we're outnumbered by some people who are no fucking joke. So our gear may not be enough to carry us if we go that route.

So I vote that diplomacy should be plan A rather than plan B. Start with diplomacy, or maybe call for backup, initiate diplomacy, and if they can't be convinced to see things our way, try to stall them with talking until backup arrives.
>>

>>1368045
Ok would you like to just waltz on in and ask them to hand her over nicely
>>
>>1368050
Yes, and, if given the chance, point out the faulty logic behind grocery girl's actions*. I suppose we could use an area gravity nullification first, if nothing else it'd probably have an interesting effect on the behavior of the rain. Thus helping with a dramatic entrance.

*She's presumably doing it for militia girl's own good. But traditionally, it's considered bad to kidnap and drug someone. Seems rather hypocritical to both defy tradition and use the "it's for your own good" defense. Really, we just want her to respect militia girl's wishes here, right?
>>
>>1368052
My thinking is that if we charge in firing and foil their plan by force, at some point down the line we'll be yelled at for ruining everything, and under the circumstances, may in fact end up ruining everything. Like, she's not going to be of help fighting in her current state, and they're probably at least trying to take her somewhere safe. I don't know how much in-character reason we have to believe that, but I'm pretty sure it's at least "some." My point is that they have a point (even if it's because they fucking drugged her) so we should try talking about it, in addition to the other reasons I mentioned (they did us a solid, they're too badass for us to do a clean takedown)

>>1368050

I just don't think they'll let her go because it's their job so getting the jump with my action plan would be wiser, they are NOT giving her up and nor is grocery girl so this is going to end in a fight and the longer it takes the more likely their back up arrives, I do not wanna get hit with their bosses guns.

>Other
1) Activate the Stealth on our Armour and have the shroud cover our footsteps i the rain so they can't track our shape either from the rain outline.

2) Set three grenades too Mode 8 and use the Nanite Shroud to cloak them when thrown so they are not noticed, they can then explode and leave everyone adrift (for the max time setting) and helpless in the air unable to push off of anything and creating a really cool rain effect.

3) Speak while cloaked and try to convince them to let you take the Milita Girl away with this little speech. Have another Grenade in hand set to Mode 10 with us as the center of control so we can influence the area around us if needs be and we set it off and keep the scanner activated to our shoulder gun so if any back up arrive we know and can shoot any nades they throw out the air (or disarm) without even looking

"Hi, how is everyone? Having a good monster hunt, I know I have been! But I digress."
Point to the Militia
"I'm here too take her home now the Monster's are almost finished been dealt with. You do realize that not only have you dragged her all the way out here against her will but you've put her in even more danger than she would have been in if you'd left her with the faithful? I know you mean well, truly I do, but you need to let her make her own choices".

Hopefully we get away with this and as we leave she asks who we are because then we can get our Super Name and a bad ass walk away into the shadows and rain

Partly why I been tempted to do a more war heavy game sometime. Given how I am not so good at small scale stuff. Which is troublesome given how I am trying to get better at writing.

Social hero wise...yeah you shouldn't be getting into fights if your alone. Your super weak alone only when you have numbers does a social hero not suck in combat.

Squishy wise even magi and psion heroes are tougher then you. Only the real nerdy science types can compete in terms of squishy.

Intrigue and politicking wise your one of the best possible hero types with only shadow type being able to compete.

Gameplay wise there will be colonial management, ongoing combat interactions, and slowly ramping up intrigue. With cape shenanigans becoming more common as the colony increases in development. At least that is the current plan when I am trying to ignore the waifuing.

Will probably throw waifuing in with the intrigue and turn up the heat. Make you feel the pain that is romancing and politics muwahaha.

"Oh bird droppings," says the bird.

"What now bird brain...better be good," calls out the cat as its still flipping through pages and cursing under its breath.

Which then tosses some grenades out which...nullifies the gravity. Rain stops mid air...and a puddle is swiftly forming on top of the gravity anomaly...right in front them and the strange figure both.

"OH SHIT," caws the bird creature.

That was when you naturally spoke quite confident you made one hell of an impression...shame about the missed throw for those grenades. You sorta threw them short...

So you spoke and pointed at the militia woman in the arms of that one petite customer with surprising amount of strength and balancing capability.

"OH FUCK ME WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SHE WAS A GODDAMN SACRIFICIAL VIRGIN YOU CUNT," screams the bird at your favorite customer as it flaps away from you.

"HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW THERE WAS A FUCKING CULT HERE OR ABOUT THAT FUCKING OUTSIDER LOOKING THING," yells back the customer as she proceeds to run away.

The cat person meanwhile finally pokes it to see what the commotion was all about...and stares unblinking in your direction before looking down at the book. "Goddamn right when I thought I had everything...now to include suspicious looking humanoid figure of darkness and nightmares...check. This is such a terrible fucking day and plan says to..."

"Well WHAT'S THE FUCKING PLAN," shouts the bird at the cat.

"...Quick question to the shady figure over there or anyone else with an answer. You are connected to the uh...faithful here yes? Which means...cannot go to nearest holy site. Is said site compromised...yes. Alright I got the plan now!"

"WELL WHAT IS IT THEN CATSHIT."

"number 1 alert nearest uncompromising faiths, number 2 call the hero hotline, and number 3...this," shouts the cat as it lobs a strange look sphere that blinks in and out of existence. Before creating a strange rumbling that starts to tear space itself apart. The cat person meanwhile had already pulled themselves up onto the wall and slipped over the roof. While in midair it shoots a strange looking flare that howls as if it were a banshee and whose strange light creates a peculiar light show through the rain. Clear for all the colony and quite possibly space pirates to see.

Meanwhile a certain petite chick was carrying a much heavier doped out militiaman on her back while sprinting through the rain and shadow covered alleys.

"Bird brain what the fuck was that?"

"The goddamned dark figure whom you just HAPPENED to forget to mention?"

"HOW THE FLYING FUCK WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW SHE WAS CAUGHT UP IN THAT KIND OF SHADY SHIT? I thought I was the shady friend damn it...and I meant that strange not so little light show."

"...Boss knew we are dealing with faithful magics so we made sure we had a counter for that sorta thing and then he made sure we had a counter to that counter. Cat just used our counter's counter which SHOULD delay whatever the fuck that thing is and give us a head start to run away."

"Oh...so you wouldn't happen to have more then one? Or a way to kill it?"

"unfortunately," interrupts the cat dropping down from a nearby wall at the end of the alley before raising its clawed paws to halt them. "The few we have to deal with those sorta things...are not with us right now. They were suppose to be at the warehouse and ship in case of shit like this happening. Plus I am afraid we only have one of those counter balls left. Which is in the bird possession and we do not have anything that can easily kill it."

"...So not only do we have to run through a colony crawling in monsters and over eager militiamen we ALSO have to dodge whatever the fuck that thing is?"

"...Yup!" state both of them at the same time.

"...Please please tell me you have plan."

"Now that we do," says the cat opening the book with one paw and a claw pointing at it while it looks beyond the alley mouth. "This plan is for this kind of scenario."

"Bullshit," says the chick as she takes a closer look at it. "..."

"...You were saying," taunts the bird.

"Does your boss really have so much fucking free time he came up with an entire book full of those possible scenarios and plans we should follow in case they occur?"

"Yup," states the cat. "Boss says those kind of books are necessary since the majority of us are a bunch of fucking idiots and thus have need for such a book."

"...Now I don't know whether to be more impressed your boss is that far thinking or horrified that such a book is even necessary much less common issue."

"Standard actually," caws the bird. "Everyone gets one but only one person is required to keep it on them at all times per a group. Usually the stronger guy who has enough wisdom to not lose it and just enough smarts to make others follow its instructions. Though technically all officers are forced to read through it once and keep the book on them at all times. Hell those poor bastards even got a cheat sheet of an index for it for rapidly finding the particular plan and scenarios. Such a shame pussy was too much of a pussy to grab said cheat sheet."

Meanwhile back at the place...you stared dimly at the strange gravity anomoly and even stranger lightshow that is giving you a the creeps. Plus whatever that fuck upped barrier is doing which has slowly expanded creating a shimmering wall where the rain hitting it just...vanishes without a ripple on its surface.

After thinking about it for a brief moment. You decide it would be very...bad idea to try to go straight through the barrier given both what it looks like and what they mistaken you for. So after looking around a bit and checking your scanner. You proceed to veer off and go around it.

As you walked you could clearly hear sounds of increased fighting before a strange burst of shrieking static before a garbled voice starts to appear on the colony emergency broadcasts. Looking at the map...you realized that for some reason there is a sudden and unexplained explosive battle that abruptly erupted near the space port and the large monster nest located close to it.

Soon on the open broadcasts...you could hear what sounded like multiple voices speaking in overlapping symphony of clearly different people trying to talk about different things at the same time. Soon however it adjusted...to what sounded like speeches, singing, chanting, and screaming. All manner of sounds start to tear out of the voices.

It was then you realized the there was something going on with your scanner and whoever hijacked the broadcast channel. Were not the militia if the burst of chatter coming from their encrypted channels were anything to go by. Your scanner meanwhile...start to crackle and warp as it would spaz out. Attempting to breakthrough some kind of strange interference or possibly even outright jamming. That or its getting overloaded by too much information that it is attempting to sift through.

The militia meanwhile continue to close in encroaching at that mysterious large fight that suddenly burst out. The monsters also appear to be gathering their forces...focused upon that fight which isn't the militia. They have also sent out forces to fuck with encroaching militia.

Something is going on and your not sure what.

Realizing there is now too much interference and that may result in you losing track of the kidnappers. You decide to switch modes on the alien gizmo scanner. Thereby locking onto the missing militia woman. It also vastly decreased the point of interference to the point of illegibility...only problem is you are now blind when it comes to everything else but the target.

So you now have to move through the colony without the scanners assistance. Good news is at least you don't have to worry about losing the girl. According to the scanner...they would appear to be heading towards the area bordering between the temple district and the pirate one. Which is unusual as it means they are no longer heading directly to the spaceport.

"So wait you been out there in this clusterfuck...to chase a missing militia member?"

"Yeah...pretty much. So uh I could use some help and don't worry I got the intel. Just gotta cycle through the scan modes. Unfortunately...I have no idea how to get this data uplinked to you given its an ancient alien gizmo."

"Just tell us where they are headed. We got some squads we can move around as to delay them. Until then keep on going. We will have some techs go to you. Hopefully they can help with the data exchange."

"Sweet."

So you continued on noticing when you switch it over to large scan that as per the officer stated. There are squads of militia cutting off the kidnappers forcing them to take detours or pick a fight. They appear to be much more keen on running away then fighting through them for some reason.

Thus you advanced after locking on and switching out to see how the situation is in the colony overall. On the way you encountered a mobile command center that drove its way over. Being made up of some technicals, two tanks, an apc, and said mobile command center. With the techs there they fiddled with their own instruments and you messed with the alien device. Unexpectedly it was the armor that provided the solution. As a part of bubbled forth and a strange stench emerged. As it slurped its way into some ports in the command center and creating a strange module upon the alien device. At first everyone obviously started to freak out...but then the image came through on the device. As the data started to get downloaded and translated for militia use. At that point what you saw on the device was now being openly broadcasted on the militia network.

So long as you are willing to ignore the horrifying twisted modules strung out everywhere it worked quite well.

So it wasn't hard for you and the armored convoy to get ahead of the kidnappers. Especially given how they unlike you had to duck the militia patrols. Problem was those bastards were very slippery. Every time you thought you had them pinned down they would somehow slip away. Fortunately you had the cheat of the alien tech to keep you from losing them. Only problem is you haven't been able to come up with a way to pin them down, but if you can delay them long enough.. The more militia forces that will be available for use. So eventually you could drown them in bodies, but that is assuming you can do so before they can complete their own goals.

>Ambush the kidnappers
Set up a trap for them so when they get funneled into an area we're waiting for them, we know they have one of those Spheres still and while they don't effect us lets instruct our gun to blast it the moment its taken out so it can't deploy/go off.

As for the Ambush itself I suggest a trap that increases gravity on Bird and Cat so they can't move/escape and as for Grocery girl I suggest a trap that we use gravity to suspend her in the air, then tranquilize everyone with something we borrow from this command center.

Plays out like
1) Traps go off nailing those two to the floor, they get Tranqued
2) Grocery Girl gets tranquilized while suspended in the air. Though with my suspicion that she has SUPER Strength this may not work
3) Recover the Package without making contact with Grocery Girl
4) Take the book of plans from the K/Oed guys.
5) Have our Militia back up pick them up.
...............................................................................
My plan here is to later use our SUPER Charisma too secure their release and gain a favor with them through that. While at the same time we've done the Militia a solid.

Rolled 93 (1d100)

You decide it best to take personal action when it comes to dealing with the kidnappers. So this time you took part in the ambush...or what you hope will be an ambush anyway.

As you slink over rooftops and trying very hard not to slip. The streets despite the streetlights are quite dark creating a thick gloom. Mostly due to the sheer humidity and not due to the lack of sunlight. As the twin stars light up the moons very well...so well in fact there is almost constant fog and it gets worse at night due to the added gloom.

So trying to peer past the gloomy fog and rain you became very thankful for the alien gizmo. As you cannot see them if it weren't for it. Thus you popped out a few grenades and adjusted their settings.

That was when you tossed them out once you knew where they were. First came heavy gravity. Which had more effect on the bird then the cat if the crashing and familiar screeches are anything to go by. That was when the militia hopped out as you threw out yet another grenade to catch the grocery girl and the kidnap victim. As all swiftly advancing attempting to catch them...you noticed the grocery girl had somehow escaped the gravity field and is crawling over a rooftop through an alley. The bird meanwhile is following up behind them cursing at you all while shooting a strange alien guns attached to its chest and shoulders.

...That was when you realized the cat wasn't there. Which gave you a terrible feeling followed by screams coming from your side. You barely caught a glimpse of the feline as it pounced on a group of militiamen from above shredding them with its claws and fangs. While shooting with a pistol. While on its tail you could see a grenade cluste being all fung with the pins already removed-oh fuck.

*BOOMMM*

At this point you were very thankful you had hung back as the grenade cluster does its job at scattering the militia. As the cat bounds up to the rooftops with its claws and grabs two militiamen from below before tossing them off the roofs as it flung itself up. Up there you now heard more screaming as the cat got busy with the militia on the roofs as it pulled out.

Heres the idea we get ahead of her again and basically when we know which direction they are going we run into them as if we're a fleeing civilian (so yes our Armour off our head we're pulling a Rorschach here). When we make contact let a few nanite onto her and have them begin to eat away at the bonds of the militia girl and also Grocery Girls weapons so they don't work, we give it some time to work while talking too her.

We ask whats happening? Whose in the sack? Wait you guys are not going to the Safe Zones, hang on is that...is that your sister?

If we get Bird and Cat back here with us just let some Nanites escape from our trouser legs and begin fucking up all the wiring and such in their gear too. Naturally it'll take some time we we talk, what we do best while their gear is ruined from within.

AND because it'll take awhile we'll look unrelated because other stuff will go down before the effects are noticed.

Best of all if needs be we just get the Nanites to start eating them, go on itch off the Nanites all in your fur and feathers, Grocery Girl won't have much choice either if needs be...

We can have them munch on muscle tendons to snap peoples limbs in directions, we can get them into the blood stream and into their very brains and just give then a lobotomy on the spot!

Really though, I think I've just had enough. If it comes to it, I'm going to vote against your gruesome offensive use of nanites. We aren't doing that unless it's against someone who deserves it.

But I'd also like to say that we need to test out capabilities of our gear as best we can when we're not in battle. Also use/develop our damn power! And oh yeah, still supporting use of nanites to sabotage gear in case that wasn't clear.
>>
>>1382065
Like I said there is an Order of Priorities here for the Nanite usage.

Their primary goal is to neutralize their gear, maybe eat the binder out of their plan book so when someone pulls it out it explodes comically.

Next level up is using them to just neutralize, like get them to much on their ear drums just for a moment to get everyone buckled over in pain to escape as they return to us. Maybe just nibble a few nerves to deliver enough pain for the body to pass out

Up another level is the straight up kill stuff

As a containment thing, if they get separated from us/loose signal, they are to disassemble one another so that they can't be discovered.
