You feel an... emptiness about yourself. Looking over your body, you don't even have any features. Just a silhouette. However, the fatigue in your head makes you think it might just be an inability to focus.

Across from you, however, is a plenty-featured man. Lanky, tall. Smug. He rests with his back to a crumbled pillar, his air of assumed superiority palpable even in his injured state. Blood drips from your hands, each drop feeling like a punctuation to the vicious description for as to how you attacked him.

"Hey there. I'd like to say we have all the time in the world, but we don't. It looks like you forgot who you are, and I didn't figure out who you were before you managed to nearly kill me."

The air remains dead with a faintly awkward aura. The man resumes speaking without much of a thought.

"Good grief, just look at you, it's so bad you even forgot how you looked."

You look back at your hands again, and it's true. It wasn't a trick of the eye, you appear to just be a faded, smokey black silhouette with no real distinct features other than the blood on your knuckles and palms.

"Now thankfully, we don't need to play twenty questions here, as there's only seven people you could be."

He snaps his fingers, before a silvery, rippling-water like portal falls through the air, creating seven floating cards in its place. Each plain white, sans a pair of kana with each one. Names.

"To keep it simple, I'll give you the important information first so that way your memories may surface more clearly. There's a war right now. A war between me and someone else, and right now the city of Fuuto as the battlefield. Three are on my side unknowingly, three are on his side without choice. There's one who's in-between. I'll point to a card, give you their name, and a little rundown about them. It should help you determine if they're you or not. As for who I'm fighting, I wish I could tell you but even I don't really know who he is. I just know who's working for him and who isn't. If you turn out to be on his side, I guess you'll find out."

Starting with the leftmost card, you can suddenly more clearly read each one as he goes down the line.

"Tsugami. Son of Shouichi, his name is Sokichi. Always loved names like that. An Agito like his father, though for some reason Shouichi never trusted him using it. The one time I ever did see Sokichi transform, he turned into a green monster. He nearly killed me! Which is funny, since he's on my side. He uses the G3-X system to fight, given to him by, as he calls it, 'Uncle Makoto.' Good-hearted, but pretty timid when he's not on the job, makes me think he doesn't feel very sure of himself. Has a habit of knowing your name before you say it. He calls it a journalist's intuition. Speaking of which, he's a freelance investigative journalist. I was thinking of calling him Nogito. Short for Novus and Agito, but he isn't much of one at the moment, now is he?"
Beneath the kana manifests two helmets. One of a green, almost bug-like creature baring its fangs. The other of blue and silver helmet, sporting three horns above its red eyes.

"Kagami. Son of Hiiro, named Yuumu. Never did figure out when he found a girl to do that with, and I never bothered to ask. Somehow compatible with the Gamer Driver system. Has access to one of two Gashats, I can't remember which. Real fighty type, has his dad's ego but instead of stroking it by being a master surgeon, he got into martial arts. Also one of mine, the first I recruited. He's either going by Box or Sect, but if that's you, you'll figure it out."

"Minami. Son of Kotaro, his name's Shinji. Are you seeing a trend, here? It's an accident, I swear my life on it. Shame, he was probably the most normal one, other than his dad. I don't have anything against Kotaro either, it's just he's a very paranoid guy after the Golgom stuff. Didn't help his son got kidnapped by a remnant. Stuffed him with the same old Kingstone as his dad, was never the same. Real quiet, very abrasive type, but he intends to help more than anyone else. As such, he's my third and final fighter. I think he's got an NX in his title, calls himself the heir to the sun, since Golgom calls him the 'Return of the Black Sun' or some trash like that."

"Shinji. Not Minami Shinji, another Shinji. No relations whatsoever, he's a real peculiar choice by my enemy, I must say. Has his own driver with its own gimmicks I've never seen before. Calls it the 'Sonic Driver,' has little discs called 'Beats.' From what I've seen of him, he means well, but I don't see him rebelling any time soon. He's the only one of that bunch I definitely trust, however, since he helps everyone. Calls himself Kamen Rider Sonic, feel free to guess what he does based off of those discs. I always have tinnitus after dealing with him."

"Kirin. Not his real name, but it's the only one we've found that he responds to. Even weirder choice by him. You remember the Minami I mentioned, right? Well, Golgom works in duos. Two Century Kings to a battle, they fight, winner rules whatever's left of them for fifty thousand years. Kirin here apparently is the moon to Minami's sun. Has a Kingstone combined with... something. I don't know what exactly to call it. He calls it Laplace. He's trapped in his suit, and I think it pisses him off. He told Minami that if he wins the fight, he can turn off the contraption and finally be human again. Real light show of a suit as well, when it's time to fight. Very hostile, loud guy, a definite opposite to Minami. If you're him, you have my apologies."

"Kirihiko. Fuuto resident, uses a Gaia Memory and a broken Lost Driver. There's something wrong with that guy. Same name and Gaia Memory as someone else from Fuuto, but claims they're completely unrelated. It's called the Nazca Gaia Memory. I don't really know much about him, other than he's a bit of a romantic type I guess you could call it. Real fluffy wording, romanticizes everything, acts like he's in some sort of noir novel. Good with a sword though, I'll give him that. The last of my rival's crew."

Similar to Kirihiko, they're technically unrelated to their namesakes. On the other hand, he transforms with technology known as the NEXT System. A Mach Driver Flame and a Signal Bike, the Accel Signal Bike. Seems like a Terui cosplayer based on his gear if you had to ask me. STAT OVERVIEW
Each stat acts as a bonus to a roll for the relevant stat. IE, POWER would be used to punch a monster. After rolling a 1d6 and getting a 3, a POWER stat of 2 would make it a 5, which is fairly good.
POWER: How hard you deliver justice.
INT: How cleverly you deliver justice.
HEART: How badly you want to deliver justice.
GUTS: How much you can handle as you deliver justice.
SKILL: How stylishly you deliver justice.

For numerical reference:
1 = Lowest possible point. If it's INT you're either a moron or just have a very one-track mind, if it's HEART you're sort of evil.
2 = Extremely average human.
3 = Noticeably above average for a human, but about average for a karate bugman.
4 = Definitely above average, even for a karate bugman.
5 = Above and beyond even others.

(Credit for stats idea goes to Dangerous Zombie, the OP of the Kamen Rider Chronicle Quest!)

"So you're Shinji. I guess that explains why you fought me, though I never thought you'd try to kill me."

The man leans forward, tapping a finger on the card marked 真司, causing the others to fade away into the grey rippling barrier from before. The remaining card slowly floats towards you, before embedding itself into your chest. As you feel a tugging in your gut, you're suddenly seeing flashes of memories. The repetitive beats of different songs, a pair of corpses laying across from you, before finally one last image. A faded silhouette of a man, of similar material to your own before you remembered who you were. All you can see is him pointing to you and speaking in a lowly, demanding tone.

"Find the other Riders. Kill the other Riders. Only then will you find peace."

Finally, your mind flashes back to the "Now." In your hand is a bluish-silverb elt buckle, sporting a pair of headphone jacks. In your other hand, a set of small UMD discs of different colors. They all seem to have different names on them. "Sonic Beat," "Red Hot Kasai Beat," "White Flash Inazuma Beat," "Dark Heavy Kishin Beat," and "Silver Hard Taifu Beat." Each one seems to have a button in the center.

Looking up from your gadgets, you gaze at the man across from you. You now remember his name: Tsukasa. A Kamen Rider. He's nice, and as much as you want to help him, you don't have a choice. You begin to bring the belt to your waist, before Tsukasa holds a hand up. "Hold on. As much as I'd love to have another fight with you, I have things to do. So in the mean-time, how about I give you one more fight to make sure you remember everything." He snaps his fingers, lowering the apparent fog surrounding you both. You're in what appears to be a dilapidated old church. It explains the pillars sitting around, at least.

Shortly after, more silvery barriers appear, and out of them come... what you think are people. Humanoid, but they're all decked out in dark clothing, aside from hefty belts and white markings that appear to symbolize a skeleton's ribs. The masks on their face show only their eyes and mouths, from which they repeatedly shout "EEE!" Shocker Combatmen.

You look back to Tsukasa, but he's already slipping through his own portal by that time.

You look at the Sonic Driver and Beats in your hand, and then over at the grunts.

>Transform and fight
Well, you wouldn't have a HEART of 5 if you were just gonna run away from bad news like Shocker.

You make some distance between the slowly moving in grunts before slamming the belt onto your waist, the strap forming on its own around you, even creating a case for your Beats! Lucky you!

You fiddle through each UMD, before you come across the most plain one: Sonic Beat. It's labeled and is blue and silver, but is otherwise completely mundane. You tap your thumb over the button in the middle, before a robotic voice drolls out a "Sonic B-B-Beat." A moment later, and it begins to play a rapid, if quiet tempo on its own, making it vibrate in your hand.

Holding it in the air, you yell out a "Henshin!" before slamming down the UMD into your belt.

You feel your body grow encased in armor as the beat loudens, adding more instruments and a variety of tunes before an actual song begins to play quietly. You then realize it's due to the headphones around your neck, which you proceed to slot onto your helmet. Now it's really kicking in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw-UtEBJvsg

You look over the grunts before oyu, as one more portal opens. Stepping out of it appears to be a mechanized creature of sorts. Part turtle, part artillery device. It seems to be muttering something as it moves towards you, Shocker Grunts finally beginning to close in on you.

You look around in the newly formed HUD. In the corner appears to be a sword icon, and it runs through a variety of short tutorials, mainly just for movement.

>Start on the Grunts, since they could overwhelm you.
>Go straight for the turtle monster.
>Figure out what the hell that sword icon is about.

>Start on the grunts with fists, then move onto sword

You begin paying attention to the tutorials presented to you to figure out your steps first, weaving in and raising your speaker-covered fists.

Initially, your swings are wild and uncontrolled, until you notice a consistent trend: When your hits match up with the beat, it seems to hit harder, as the combatmen who are first hit by them actually get sent flying, while the others simply just get knocked over.

Taking advantage of this, you begin to repeatedly knock around various latex-covered hooligans who can't even speak normally like toys, before deciding you may need to actually start doing more than playing with them.

Another tutorial comes up: "Sonic Sword." It explains how the various in-suit functions are both physical and optical. To summon the sword, you simply need to focus on the sword icon for a few seconds. Doing so begins to highlight the icon, before suddenly in a flash of blue, a hefty blade is put into your hands. It doesn't look very practical, but then again so is your entire armaments, so you can't really complain.

It's a success!

You begin to carefully level your sword, steadying yourself before rushing over to Kamebazooka, repeatedly slamming the blade into him. For every successful slash into him, two are blocked by his hefty shell.

"My shell's too thick for your weapons, Kamen Rider! You're gonna need something with a bit more kick to it than that if you want to hit m-"

His speech is interrupted by a slash across his torso, where you continue to pile in hits. What you lack in grace, you make up for in the sheer volume of attacks you're unleashing on him. He groans in pain as he stumbles back, stunned from the impact.

Across the bottom of your HUD it says "FINISHER PROTOCOL" while showing various diagrams of you plugging in the headphone jacks in your belt into your forearm, leg, or sword.

Well, you know you cna't sword all that well, but your little adventure with the grrunts earlier showed you at least know how to swing a solid punch when needed.

You toss away your sword, which dematerializes in the air after impaling a nearby Shocker grunt (Purely a lucky accident), you tug out the leftmost jack in your belt before jamming it into your forearm.

"MAX Sonic! PUNCH!"

You feel the song that's been playing reach a crescendo. With each following beat, your arm continually vibrate, and each shake seems to harden it. At the same time, the speaker on the back of your fist begins to glow blue. Rearing your arm back, the turtle monster and the few remaining combatmen begin to circle in, before you decide it's now or never.

You then proceed to slam your fist down into the ground, shaking the church's tiles off their foundations in a following tidal wave of force, slamming all the nearby monsters into the wall, before they each burst into their own explosions.

Looking over the aftermath of your fight, you tug out the UMD, causing it to let out a trilling, quieting in volume "Encooooore!" before it shuts down, your armor shattering off of you.

The church, in ruins, doesn't seem like it offers much of a place to stay. Walking out towards the front door of the church, you shove with all your might to open it, revealing a devastating sight.

Fuuto City, under subjugation. Various monsters of all kinds pulling around humans like cattle in chains and manacles, some yelling at other humans for various things. If cities could show their feelings, this one would be sobbing in defeat.
