The Raiders – Part 13

For the price of a weapon that might as well be a Silver Sword, you have bought - or perhaps secured – Yashi's loyalty. That won't make her any less of a drama queen or a danger in general, but it will ensure that she stays with you when you leave the safety and security of the Stronghold and strike out on your own to avoid being eaten by the all powerful ruler of your race.

You're hoping that's just a euphemism, but you're really doubtful.

She has also stated that it is very possible that she, with the help of Rana Najla and yourself, can heal the severely damaged mind of one of your three slaves, the sweet natured and utterly broken Cyrillian. The possibility of her being useful to you in the capacity of a spy and intelligence operative if you do so is very high; you are uncertain, as of yet, if you want to subject your other two slaves to the trauma of returning to the physical world or if you want to sell or give them to trustworthy and allied slave keepers of your race. Technically you could free Yustuoc and she would be all right, but you've broken poor Mayune a little too well, and abandoning Cyrillian would be like tossing a newly hatched feral githyanki into the Ether to be eaten by brain moles and ethereal slayers.

Jiyua has made good on her promise to enchant the living metal rune embedded in your cheek, and you now possess the power of the run of the Inscrutable one. Not only does it protect you from both scrying and divinations, it will help make you aware of such attempts. A quick study in the mirror shows the painted symbols and marks she used are gone, subsumed by her enchantment.

Now you get to decide what to do with the poor scared little skulker.

[] Let her enjoy the Colloquy a while – she's not part of your cadre but she earned a respite.
[] Dismiss her with a warning/encouraging word or three for later use.
[] See if she's responsive to being played with before sending her on her way with no further owed favors.
[] Play with Yashi a bit and see if you can learn more about the lesser gish's capabilities.

>You study her carefully. “Attend. Serve me in these matters, and I vow you will see your arm restored to full use despite the damages done to it, and you will have repaid half of your debt to me. Fail me....” You imbue Siobhan with a bit more of the power you possess, with the awareness you are running dangerously low on the potent arcane force you hoard so carefully. The mutlicolor energies become a single seething aura of glimmering yellow light, and you lunge, sweeping her across the body of the warrior, then raising her in a wide arc to her joyful cry of wanton pleasure. The arc slices through the body of the knight, acidic energies consuming him and his hapless minion entirely, their armor corroding and their flesh dissolving.

>The sweep continued until you come full circle and sheathe Siobhan, relinquishing the potent energies. “....and there will be no body for the shroud to cover.” Siobhan growls playfully in your mind, pretending to be threatening because only you can hear said growl.

We did? In that case, I guess we should at least start to deal with that, though I'm not sure how. Like will Greater Infernal Healing cut it this time? Can we make a prosthesis and do we have time to do so?

I was more wondering what "these favors" extended to, but I looked it up myself
>“You will make me this rune. You will enchant it. I will provide the materials. You will provide three more slaves to me. You will arrange for spellcrafters to provide me with increased prowess of mind and body. You will do this in twelve hours.”

So it seems like she's done only one out of the three things we've asked her for, but considering our circumstances, I'm not sure more slaves are in the cards, so I'm kind of feeling

[X] Let her enjoy the Colloquy a while – she's not part of your cadre but she earned a respite.
[X] Write in? We're not quite done yet, you and I....

You turn your attention back to the skulker, the cut-rate gish that she is, and smile wickedly, only baring the tips of your spurs. She pales, shivering as you lean close and slowly caress her cheek, her throat. “I believe that takes care of one third your duty to me.” She relaxes slightly, but only slightly. Your hand drifts lower, playing with the soft leather jerkin she is wearing, the snap-close fastenings smooth metal and the straps buckled loosely. “I may not concern myself with the slaves – I will be acquiring a number of them, but I would require....” Your hand drifts over her breast and she flushes, more from shame than arousal, sadly. “....some kind of incentive to do so.”

Yashi is watching, her pale yellow eyes following your every movement of your hand and darting to watch the younger githyanki's reactions. Young being a more relative term than typical in the Astral, of course. Sadly you don't think she's terribly interested in females, or she's too scared to be properly aroused. More's the pity.

You stand up as she pulls the pouch that she took her tools from close and opens it. Her hand slips deeper inside than should be possible, revealing the extradimensional nature of the satchel, and she pulls out several gems. Though jewels is probably more accurate: a diamond half as big as your fist, a ruby that is as big as your fist and has delicate and carefully etched and polished runes on most of the lesser facets (planned for a periapt perhaps?), and three sapphires, each one the length and thickness of two of your extended fingers. While it is technically two hand-weights worth of gems, the cut value of them makes it at least three or four times that. These are all suitable for enchanting work.

They paid her a huge fortune to move against you.

While the payment that was made to her is hers, and she could make a case for retaining the full value, you could claim part of it as were-gild very easily, especially if you decide against taking the slaves, as per the oath you made to the Silver Swords. Probably not all of it; she did attempt to do the duty she was paid for, and paid a heavy price for it. You kneel before her, and slowly begin removing the bandages about her arm. “You did your work well – the Rune is potent and effective. I take it you at least enjoyed watching the show – Rana certainly enjoyed you watching.” You glance at her and she nods slowly as you bare her deeply wounded and clearly painfully aching arm. You trace the edges of the wound; it's cauterized and clean; the energies Siobhan was flooded by made the wound a clean one by their nature, as well as burning and searing the flesh. “You have devil ichor?”

Yashi silently kneels next to you, watching you examine the wound. Shaking with pain, Jiyua takes a small vial, less than a quarter full, of a dark blue-black ichor from her pouch and offers it to you. You open the bottle one handed and place a single droplet upon her arm, just above the wound. You hand the bottle and cap back, allowing the githyanki skulker to struggle with it herself as you incant the spell.

So what do you guys think we should do with Yustuoc and Mayune?

Even if Yustuoc might be able to reintegrate with orcs, it seems like her sexual baggage would get her in trouble, also I'm not sure if she wants to be free deep down.

As for Mayune, I kind of feel like a good night's sleep could go a long way, and she might be too focused on us specifically to be able to deal with us not being around.

but maybe just two sapphires instead of all three, so it would be one jewel per owed slave?

...I don't know, I'm not sure how much a slave is considered to be worth but I am pretty sure doubling our amount of owned slaves isn't really what we need right now.
>>
>>1355073
She owes you three slaves, the gems are a fair price for them; Akko isn't being greedy here.
>>
>>1355123
okay then yeah, jewels seem more useful in the forseeable future than slaves, unless I'm missing something.

Like, in Akko's estimate, after the Raid is she gonna have to generally avoid the Astral until she finds out a way to turn the tables, or does her secret pocket plane kind of give her more leeway?
>>
>>1355135
She's mostly going to have to avoid githyanki, rather than the astral itself.
>>
>>1355025
[] Inquire as to whether or not she had to use your signet ring very much.
>[] Heal her first, then ask whether she'd prefer service or simply slaves and/or the gems.
>>
>>1355141
Still, it seems like we'd either have to move our slaves to a place the other Githyanki don't know about before the raid without arousing suspicion, or bring them with us to the Material Plane we're raiding and have to make at least some effort to keep them alive. (Or I guess, bring them with us, then during the Raid quietly set up a secret base in the Astral, unless it's expected that all Githyanki will stay in the Material Plane until the job is done)
>>
>>1355170
Like I'm almost tempted for
>[] Tell her that part of her were-gild will be taking and caring for your slaves.
But I'm not really sure Jiyua can provide our slaves what they need, and after all the hard work we put into tuning our slaves, it'd be a shame to give them to someone who doesn't know how to play them properly.
>>
[X] Take the sapphires, but....
[X] Inquire as to whether or not she had to use your signet ring very much.
[X] Write in? I honestly have too much to do to spend too much time and effort on new slaves....but perhaps you could be of use....

You finish the spell and her arm slowly begins to heal. The relief that the healing brings makes her tremble and you smile, pushing her hair past her ears gently. “I am uncertain how much more your debt to me is worth, really. The slaves would be nice, perhaps, as a bargaining tool....but I have no use for new slaves, especially ones that I have no time to train properly.” this earns you a snicker from Siobhan, and Yashi glances at you expressionlessly. “I said that with the slaves, the presentation of the payment made to you, and the Rune you crafted you would be half paid of your debt to me.”

She nods slowly, the healing of her arm slow and steady. It looks like it will be fully healed with the single casting, which is fortunate. Her eyes are wide and she's obviously still terrified of you. It is a very likely fact that you've scarred her for life in a manner that has nothing to do with her physical injury.

You pick up one of the finger-length sapphires, turning it over. “These are very beautiful. Worthy of crafting into potent tools; using them as mere spell components would be a waste, in my opinion.

The sapphires could be used to entrap souls, in the hands of a truly powerful wizard,” Yashi points out. Her voice makes your center clench, and even frightened and pained as she is, Jiyua shivers at the sound of your illusionist's voice.

“I have a better use for this one,” you decide rather suddenly, and you press the gem into her healing flesh. Jiyua yelps, earning a bit of attention from several of the others, but you keep the gem in place, letting the wound seal around it, until the gem is melded partly into her arm. You close your eyes and murmur a powerful, strange litany, more than mere spells, but raw magical power pouring through your voice into the gem now embedded in her healed arm. The gem burns with an inner light, and a sigil slowly appears within the center of it, the gith rune for the unkillable enemy.

You finish the ritual quickly, and smile, sliding your thumb over the shimmering jewel in her arm. Her breaths are quick and unsteady and Jiyua is staring at you with awe and not a little fear. “I promised that I would heal you of your wound. So I have, and your wounds will continue to be healed by me, so long as you retain this periapt. The other two are mine, now.” You go to take the other two sapphires, but Yashi reaches for them. You give her a non-plussed look, and she moves a little closer, taking locks of your hair and beginning to braid them.
>>
>>1355025
>[] Take the sapphires and the ruby, in lieu of slaves.

>Get close to her as you heal her and ask her if she'd enjoy continuing a collaboration.
>>
Indulging the whim of the strange illusionist you turn your full attention back to the shaken and awestruck Jiyua. “I can think of several alternatives to taking the slaves I do not want from you. I could take another third of your treasure, perhaps; I can clearly make use of them. But I think you might be of use to me in other ways.” You take her hand in both of yours, and smile, using your thumbs to caress her palm intimately and then to play with the iridescent ring you gave her as a signet of yours. “Did you need to use this at all?”

Flushed and nervous, she nods slowly. “Only in two cases....those who know of you were eager to please....” She glances sidelong at the others, specifically Yzia, who is dancing with Rana for the entertainment of the others. “The women seemed especially eager to remain in your good graces.”

You lean in and lower her , though you keep one of yours around it. Your other hand caresses her cheek, and she looks up, alarmed. Her nerves are all a-skitter as you caress her cheek and smile wickedly. “They enjoy my attentions. I am not unskilled.” Yashi, who is carefully making a net for your hair for one of the sapphires, gives a soft hiss of derisive amusement, making it clear she considers that an understatement. “I am willing to forgive you entirely, if you will consider yourself one of my retainers....you could be of great service to me, and I may have need of such from you soon.”

She shifts nervously, and sadly, you're fairly certain that her fear is far too vast currently to allow her to accept seduction of any sort. With a soft sigh you lean in, kissing her brow. “I can see that I am not going to be receiving your favors this evening.” She flushes and looks down, her turmoil deep. “Enjoy the colloquy, then, and we will speak later.” She looks surprised, and salutes you her hand before her face. She slowly sweeps the two remaining jewels – aware you may claim one later or take the slaves you demanded – and the vial of ichor into her pouch. Finally Jiyua rises, touching the jewel in her arm gingerly, and moves to join the others, accepting a glass of some potent liquor from Mayune in passing.

Yashi finishes tying the other sapphire into your hair as you contemplate what you are going to do with your slaves as well as Jiyua. The potentials are strong in her, but you will have to work to earn something beyond terror in your presence. The soft, warm hands of your illusionist slide under your tunic, up your back. You are not used to your affections being rejected, she comments mildly.

>[] Her reluctance and confusion make her interesting.
Partially true, but since I've kind of been thinking about why we'd want to have sex with her, I kind of came up with, while reluctance, confusion and most of all fear, are certainly things Akko has noticed in people she fucks, those emotions were mostly exclusively found in slaves, not Githyanki, and it'd be kind of a novelty to see how a Githyanki wears those feelings in the bedroom as well as what you can use them for. Like can we transform horror into awe, or just keep the terror as is and see if we can add some lust into the picture? Either way, it's a pretty good challenge in a limited timeframe, which adds to the fun.

...Not really sure how Akko could verbalize that though, because I suspect even oblique comparisons of a Githyanki to a slave is like a major faux pas?

I think Akko is the kind that's pretty cool about being told "no", when it's done properly (not that it'd stop her if she really wanted to, but she wouldn't be offended). It's when people go out of their way to be insulting about it like Falna did that it pisses her off.
>>
>>1355322
I think Falna and Akko might have been lovers when Akko was younger, but Falna lost interest when Akko's body matured, and Akko's been nursing a grudge like you would a bonsai?

Could be wrong.
>>
>>1355307
Not a problem.
>>
Wonder if Akko could seduce a smart, strong-willed queen of a Material Plane realm.

>>1355341

They were certainly not lovers.
>>
>>1355341
Not entirely inaccurate....it wasn't the physical maturity that was the issue, however, but the fact that Akko was not a social climber at the time and Falna was.

Akko's social status now is a kind of revenge on Falna, though it was always her intent; Falna just never realized it.

Falna does like her lovers petite though!
>>
>>1355354
Certainly true, and I realized that after I posted it, considering what that means for Githyanki specifically, but not sure what else to use. Like "mates" is even worse, and I'm not sure "girlfriend" is a concept Githyanki recognize because I'm not sure "friend" is a concept Githyanki recognize.
>>
>>1355360
So Akko practices "Living well is the best revenge" in addition to "revenge is the best revenge"? It's kind of funny how in a lot of ways she really goes against the mold for how Githyanki behave, but in others she seems to exemplify it. She's a really fun character actually.
>>
[X] Careful, pretty one, or you'll take her place and we will get nothing other than you done.
[X] Her reluctance and confusion make her interesting.
[X] Write in? I am a little bit beyond being emotionally manipulated by a peculiar illusionist or hurt by a terrified githyanki, you know....

A passing thought to Yzia lets you know you require her plaything's assistance shortly, and her amused reply is an image of yourself accepting the slave-sorceress affections intimately. You let her feel your amusement and agreement that it will happen, but that isn't why you need her at the moment.

You lean into Yashi's caresses, and stretch slowly, your muscles rippling. “It is an interesting quandary. She finds me interesting, but our initial meeting has traumatized her deeply; it is a wound I will have a much harder time healing than the one I inflicted upon her arm.” Yashi's hands explore your sharply defined muscles as you relax, and she shivers faintly, a tremor you can feel in your hands. “I think she is old enough to appreciate the affections of another female, and I am certainly not insulted by her rejection, any more than I would be insulted by someone insinuating I cannot manage a seduction effectively.”

If you could distill Yashi's delicate, feminine chuckle, you would be able to sell it as an aphrodisiac. “Careful, lovely one....while I may not be the beast that Tzanzi is, I am perfectly capable of taking what I want from someone as eager to offer as you are. We have work before us.”

Pressing her sleek body along your back, her hands drift to your belly and the hem of your pants, caressing the sleek, hard muscle through your soft skin. The slave is occupied, and we have a moment. I am still curious as to why you are toying with the poor skulker. You hum in response, agreeing that she has a point, and you have been rather standoffish a bit – or rejected a little, you suppose. Her hand caresses your breast, exploring the softness of the large mound of flesh with the hardened nipple rising under her delicate fingertips. Her other hand slips lower, and she makes a soft noise of surprise at the bareness of your sex.

“Ahn....I am not unfamiliar with rejection. Not every pretty githyanki female is receptive to the advances of another, and if she has no interest that is fine. But she is confused and frightened now, and that makes the attempt a pleasure for me in other ways.” You gasp softly as two of her fingers slip past your hardened pearl and into the wet heat of your body. “That she has not outright rejected me is...mmm....interesting....and I find it worthwhile to....that is really distracting, you know.”
>>
Yashi is sliding her soft body along your back; her pierced tongue is caressing your ear intimately as she fondles each of your breasts by turns and slips her fingers even deeper inside you. Her mental amusement is complex and layered, and almost as much of a pleasure to explore as her body has been. You obligingly spread your legs wider for her as you kneel, and she responds by adding a third finger, and tracing the back of your neck with the jewels and studs that decorate her tongue.

“I did make oath to heal her wounds, and while I have fulfilled the word in depth, the spirit is still lacking....” Closing your eyes, you roll hips in time with her delicate hand. You reach back, grasping her hip lightly and laying your other hand along hers over your blouse, as hers clutches your breast beneath it. “If I can....aauu....if I can seduce her....then that....that would mean I have healed....the wound, would it n-not?” Yashi hums her own agreement.

[X] Call Cyrillian over to watch, let Yashi see what she's got to deal with.
[X] Let the lovely creature finish you off. In a manner of speaking.
[X] Teasingly ask her if she has scars from Tzanzi's attentions....

You press back against her and she redoubles her efforts, her mouth closing on the nape of your neck and her spurs digging into your skin as she works her fingers in and out of your wet heat. Her nails dig into your breast, and you gasp softly, your boson heaving as she pleases you. Your desire to have Cyrillian watch causes the slave to turn to you, the subtle thoughts enough to make her aware that you enjoy her attention, despite how difficult it is for her to be aware of you as an individual, as opposed the person she truly desires

Yashi, for her part, licks at the soft skin trapped by her gentle bite, the studs and gems abrading your skin with far more effectiveness than her tongue along might. Indulging her desire to leave at least some small mark, you make a deep, soft whining noise, your hips moving faster as she plunges her fingers in and against the soft flesh between your legs. Did Tzanzi leave you wounded and bleeding, beautiful? Do we share a few small scars from those wicked teeth of hers? The images accompanying your question leave little doubt as to the intensity and pleasure that accompanied your own experiences of Tzanzi's vicious lovemaking.

To your surprise, she does not have any deep marks or scarring, though her own images of the experiences shared with Tzanzi are so vivid, richly nuanced, and sensual that you come immediately from the experience of being violently taken by Tzanzi from Yashi's singularly perceptive and all too intense point of view. You bite down, keeping the loud cry of pleasure to yourself, though you allow Yashi to experience the pleasure through you that she gives you, sharing a deeper and more intimate bond.

It's nothing like mating (or so you have been told), merely a momentary telepathic contact that you allow her.

You gasp for unneeded breath and leans against Yashi, who willingly supports you, though it's only the astral medium's lack of gravity that allows her to do so easily. She slips her fingers from your sex and you shudder as they trace your sensitive nub at the apex of your slit. You wrap your hand about her delicate wrist and bring her fingers to your mouth, licking them clean with a tongue easily as dexterous as her own. The delicate illusions flushes with warmth and amusement at your willingness to taste your own liquors, something that is apparently a rarity among women she's had sex with – which is a surprisingly small amount, from what she 'feels'.

Cyrillian comes to you at your behest, and Rana is also sliding through the Astral fundament to you. Rana comes up behind the broken slave and whispers a few words in her ear, her other hand tracing sigils along her brow.

The delicate, mind-broken slave collapses and Rana gently pushes her to you, and painstakingly lays her out. “Your dragon-” She stiffens as she feels the white hot gaze of the dragon's alien eyes upon her. “Ah, my apologies. The gracious and most benevolent dragon that allows you to be her companion,” she says, smiling apologetically, “has explained to me your desire as best she could.” she looks to the illusionist. “She said that you have an understanding of how to go about this?”

It takes Yashi a moment to phrase her thought process into something that won't overwhelm the sorceress, and in the meantime you gently bind and gag your unconscious slave, just in case she suffers any discomfort. Stripping the half-elf naked is unnecessary, but fun; she is a lovely thing.

Rana is looking a little dazed when Yashi finishes her 'explanation', but she seems to grasp the concepts and the required magics easily enough. “I believe that this can be managed successfully, Akko. It would require you to utilize my power as a wish-crafter, so you would have to wish for the thing you desire to be done aloud.”

“You need not concern yourself with that,” you reply blandly. “I have some experience in making such requests.” Responding to a telepathic demand, Mayune places the pouch of spell components from your cushions at your side before returning to the entertainments of the others. Yashi accepts the oils and incense and starts setting the ivory tablets in place.

Her plan is simple: she will cast Legends and Lore upon the slave, and learn everything there is to know of her. She will them impart the 'corrected' and enhanced visions of that life to you and Rana. You and Yashi will then use your innate psychic powers to essentially erase her entire psychic existence, leaving her with little more than a newborn's mental capacity. Finally, Yashi will guide you and Rana in crafting an entire life, a paired set of Scripted Hallucinations that will serve as the entirety of her existence, imprinted in place of her current mentality. As she recovers her mental faculties, these hallucinations and implanted experiences will revivify and reinforce her true memories, until she is as whole a creature as she can possibly be.

She may not be as tractable as slave as she is now, but she will still be loyal and appreciative of you, Akko, Yashi warns gently.

[] This plan sounds fine.
[] Adjust the plan to assist Cyrillian in being a more effective infiltrator.
[] Give Cyrillian even more individuality and strength of will, even if it means losing her as a slave.
[] Remove the memories of her life previous to being a servant of the queen; she doesn't need to know those things.

>[] Remove the memories of her life previous to being a servant of the queen; she doesn't need to know those things.
Wait, what queen? Were these prompts meant to be after Yashi had cast Legends and Lore and given us the details?
>>
>>1355510

I mean duh. Making someone a slave who cannot rebel is a Mind Flayer's ideal
>>
>>1355515
Technically she's going to be less tractable by default, we just don't know to what extent. Like if it is still too much of a pushover for our standards, I think we should be able to cultivate more of an independent streak, assuming being built on secondhand knowledge and falsehood nonetheless lays a stable mental foundation because Akko, Rana, and Yashi are all very good at what they do.
>>
>>1355512

Dude, what are you talking about? We know she was made to serve a queen.

Also, why would you vote for something that pointlessly cruel. We're trying to give her her mind back, not butcher it.
>>
>>1355505
>[] Adjust the plan to assist Cyrillian in being a more effective infiltrator.
I like this one, but I'm not really sure what, if anything, we'd need to kind of scooch out of the way to make it fit.

>>1355521
I wasn't voting for it, I was asking for more information.

Then vote to strengthen her mind. We're not getting a second shot at this.
>>
>>1355512
Akko knows that Cyrillian is actually a human-formed serpent-person who was transformed into a human to infiltrate a kingdom and serve the queen as adviso, lover, and adored handmaiden, so the serpent people could influece said kingdom.

>>1355515
Yashi is only informing Akko that her rebuilt personality will include the loyal service and appreciation that is already present in Cyrillian, not that it will be 'enforced'. Her rebuilt personality will naturally and of necessity make her more self-aware and capable of rebelling, as with any normal person who is a slave.
>>

Sorry. Greentexting a vote option to open a post makes it look like you're voting for it.

>>1355526
I don't know, it doesn't seem like it's a guarantee she'd even be that deficient in those areas, so I'm not really seeing the incentive.

>>1355529
I remembered that we were able to figure out she was a snake person, but I forgot that we gleaned her actual purpose and thought it was just very good guess-work.
>>
>>1355529

Fair enough.
>>
>>1355538
Akko's guesswork is more accurate than most solved mathematical equations are. there are deific beings less intelligent than she is.

>this plan sounds fine

>However, ask Rana if she can assist Yashi in divination to discover more about the girl. And see what you can do to make it more effective as well.
>>
>>1355548

I mean, Rana and Akko might not be diviners, but they got to have a trick or two to assist.

QM, could we let Yashi borrow our INT-increasing mask for this operation?
>>
>>1355505
So yeah to be clear, I'm going with
>[X] Adjust the plan to assist Cyrillian in being a more effective infiltrator.
Assuming that it wouldn't strain the process unduly, if it would, I'd rather settle with what we do have and could maybe mold later if we want then waste a good amount of time and magic.

>>1355541
So from what Akko was able to understand, is there a way to reverse Cyrillian's transformation beyond essentially doing what Falna did to Kteine and Schechei (aka not really worth it)? Like not now, but in the future maybe.
>>
>>1355561

From what I get, Falna made her girls be transformed until Githyanki was their true shape, while our slave's snake form is still her true self, just under a very effective false one
>>
>>1355561
That would require a Polymorph Any Object spell. She's still a serpent person under her human flesh and blood disguise.

>>1355558
Yes, you could do that.
>>
[X] This plan sounds fine.
[X] Give Cyrillian even more individuality and strength of will, even if it means losing her as a slave.

“I think this will go well, but there are two things I would like to adjust if it is possible to do so.” Yashi gives you a strange look, which is understandable given you're doing something that is too close to the enemy's work to be comfortable. Rana seems to have no qualms of course, but then she is both a willing slave and comes from a race of people regularly enslaved by others. “She is not human – your spells will reveal this, Yashi – and she was trained and transformed to be an infiltrator of a human kingdom. I would like to strengthen her will and individuality, so that she is free of those masters as well.”

Yashi blinks, and communicates to both you and Rana. Akko, this cannot work.

You blink. “Why not?”

The serpent peoples' minds are completely resistant to mental effects designed to alter their minds at all. Our psychic abilities and the spells to manipulate her memories and mind will all fail instantly. They are naturally telepathic, so we can communicate to them, but the hallucinations and the ego destruction spells will be utterly ineffective. Her communication is tinged with both sorry and regret. Even spells meant to heal her mind will be useless. I do not think we can fix this without even more powerful magics. The most powerful magics might be enough....but even those cannot be guaranteed to work against a mind such as theirs. And thus, hers..

Siobhan senses your irritation and grasps the situation; she likes the pretty slave, and has possessed her and loved you with her as well. She promises you the power to manage this, regardless of what it may reveal.

You look down at the sleeping slave, bound in white silk and delicate silver chains.

[] Do it anyways. You can MAKE this work....even if it means revealing the Elder Power.
>Spend 1 Point of Mythic Power + 1 Hero Point.
[] You can achieve the impossible – your will is inescapable and inviolable.
>Spend 1 Hero Point
[] You'll manage this regardless of the cost.
>Spend 2 points of mythic Power.
[] You'll just have to wait; she means a Wish might be the only way, and you haven't any.
[] Write in?
>There is no way Akko will be able to obscure or hide the Mythic Power from Rana or Yashi if she uses it, though the others may not notice.
>Hero Points are regained at one per level, so this is a reusable resource, but it may take a long time to regain it, and even then you only regain one. Akko can only ever have three total.
>>
>>1355592
>[] You can achieve the impossible – your will is inescapable and inviolable.
>Spend 1 Hero Point
>>
>>1355592
Interesting. Well, Yashi is a drama queen but if she knows the score, she also knows that even in the timeless expanse of the Astral, Akko may be the only one with the ability and inclination to make Yashi's dream come through, and in a way, she made her choice last thread

As for Rana, isn't she just here on Yzia's behalf? In a way, none of our stuff falls under any obligations she has.
>>
>>1355592
So does the 1 hero point option have a lower chance of success than one hero+one mythic?
>>
>>1355592
Even if it's a gamble, I'm fine with
>Do it anyways

Also I hadn't considered the Githyanki would object to mental tweaking, but it does make sense for that to be a taboo, or verge on one at least.
>>
>>1355592

>[] Do it anyways. You can MAKE this work....even if it means revealing the Elder Power.
>>
>>1355623
forgive me if I am mistaken, but wouldnt shatter mind blank bypass any immunity to mind affecting, or is that just effective against spells and not natural immunities?

if not then I say spend the mythic. having an intact spymaster is useful.
>>
>>1355613
Also... I'd be pretty surprised if Yashi didn't have some suspicion of what Akko's been up to, since coincidence seems a hard thing to believe in, and no matter how clever a smith/jeweler/enchantress Akko is, I guess I'm not sure I buy that being enough for Yashi to think Akko can create something on the level of a Silver Sword.

So really, Rana is the wildcard, but considering Yzia brought her specifically to help us... Hm, is there a way to unobtrusively check with Yzia in a way that won't cause her offense? Like just to make sure her response isn't HOLY SHIT NO? Like... 90% sure that won't be the case but still
>>
Also wait, how are points of Mythic Power spent?
>>
>>1355634
No, because in this case it is a natural resistance - Shatter Mind Blank is also a mind effecting spell.

>>1355635
Not really. If anything, trying to explain beforehand might make it more likely she'll react in a way Akko doesn't want her to because she'll have time to think about it and respond to Akko's explanation. Surprising her with it at least gives Akko the opportunity to come up with explanations after, and she's more likely to keep the discovery to herself, being a wizard and all.
>>
>>1355637
By chosing to do so, activating a power that requires them, or by doing something that Akko isn't aware she can't manage without them and is absolutely dead set on achieving (Using Wish to make Schechei a githyanki minded person, for example).. This will be the first instance of her doing so in advance of a plan..
>>
>>1355645
And how do we gain Mythic Points?
>>
>>1355642
hmmm i figured that might be the case.

any chance we could magic jar her into another body?

Ah nevermind, we are encroaching evil mastermind territory already. no need to go full Illithid.
>>
>>1355651
They replenish after resting, and you gain more with each mythic tier she achieves (3+[2xtier] total). Incidentally, Akko can force-recharge her body and mind and arcane power as well as memorize her spell list from scratch by spending mythic power and taking a power nap or meditating for an hour. She's only recently become aware of this ability.
>>
>>1355592

Dunno if it's too late to vote, but if there is still time, I'd like Akko to say

>"Cyrillan...I look forward to meeting you for the first time."

Before they start.
>>
>>1355657
Huh that's easier than I thought. I'm generally still feeling a mix of hero and mythic to cover the bases, but maybe we should give more consideration as to what Akko will be doing in each instance, and potential ramifications.

They seem mostly in the same place in terms of overwhelming power, but option 1, to me at least, seemed the most... Channeled?
>>
[X] Do it anyways. You can MAKE this work....even if it means revealing the Elder Power.
>Spend 1 Point of Mythic Power + 1 Hero Point.

You stroke the soft hair of the strange creature you've become so fond of, that Siobhan has shared the body of, and that you've tormented in some subtle and strange ways. You lean down and kiss her forehead, whispering to the sleeping mind. When next we meet, it will be for the first time that we see one another truly.

Rising, Siobhan's promise ringing in your mind, you look at Yashi seriously. “We can still attempt it. I would rather make the attempt and fail than make an assumption and be wrong.” Rana smiles and nods agreeably. “Besides, she has earned privilege of my making the attempt. Siobhan would be pleased to see me try.”

Rana looks confused. “Siobhan? I have not met this person.”

You hold out your hand and turn it, closing your fingers about the hilt of the Silver Sword that appears in your grasp. You lay the snaked blade along the supine body of your slave as she floats peacefully. “She is not a person,” you comment mildly as Yashi begins the spell, obedient to your will and making the full effort despite any doubts she might have. “She is my lover, and this is she.” Rana shudders at the regard of the intelligent weapon upon her. “If I were to have a mate, it would be she.” Siobhan sings your praises in her mind and Rana gapes as the song fills her mind as well.

You walk around to sit on the opposite side of the resting slave. “Let us prepare, shall we?” Rana nods and you lace your fingers with hers as you both lean over the slender half-elven beauty's sleeping form. Opening your mind to the wishcrafter's, you share the thoughts and desires you have for the lovely slave girl with her, and she shows you the most effective and best ways to impose the illusions and hallucinations into Cyrillian's mind.

It seems only moments later – though you know it is longer – that the illusionist's complex, rich thoughts join yours and Rana's. She shows you a much detailed and very strange vision of the ancient race of serpent people, how they fell to the ravages of time and ancient beings, how they sought to preserve their race and ideas by taking over human kingdoms and secretly controlling them. She shows you the willing sacrifice that Cyrillian made in becoming human in appearance, forever forsaking her true nature. She is, like all her kind, ageless; only the abuse of previous githyanki masters and the strangeness of the Astral Plane itself breaking her already strange mind.
>>
You and Rana incorporate these visions in your planned spells, and those additions are further informed by truths you were not aware of: how Cyrillian became fond of her human mistress and eventually became her lover, rather than the mere advisor she was meant to be. How the humans were turned against the serpent people by an unknown faceless threat (The enemy? you ask silently. I believe so, but I am not sure, is the reply) and how the queen was protected from the revolt by her alien lover.

How the githyanki raiders came, destroying and taking the needed slaves, supplies, and treasure from the already embattled kingdom (I believe this is proof that the enemy was involved., comments Yashi) among them the queen and her lover. The queen died at the hands of a cruel githyanki master, and that is what began the breaking of Cyrillian's mind. The cruel master continued to ruin Cyrillian's mind, unaware of her true nature. Three masters later, she was taken in by Akko, who used her to take care of the victims of Baleful Polymorphs and transformative curses, as well as her gardens. Though the girls mind steadily decayed, it was a gentler way to pass into oblivion than others.

(Yzia said that the depth of soul you possess was not to be underestimated – or misunderstood, Akko. You should keep musings of my generosity of spirit to yourself – you will find few who agree. It is well known that to cross paths with Akko means crossing paths with the psychopomps that follow her in hopes of her generosity being shown. .....)

The working begins by you concentrating your will and the power of the Elder Githyanki into a diamond sharp thought that shatters the ordinarily unbreakable mental defenses of the serpent-folk. You eradicate the half-elfin serpent-folk's mind with the lash of the Ego Whip, while in a display of her own skills and power, Yashi eliminates all by the barest traces of her will and her personality with simultaneous uses of the same power. Immediately, you and Rana begin the workings of the hallucinatory spells, wrapping her mind in thick, heavy draperies of memories that nearly, but not quite match those she would normally have possessed. Siobhan's power is added to yours and Rana's, her own skills and the memories of many possessions of the beautiful creature combined with the mystic power of the elders that links the potent blade to you and you to her. The the understanding of magic that she grants you intensifies the potency of the spell you craft, and you grant some of that same understanding to Rana through the wording of your wish to her.

The castings and spells take what feels like hours, perhaps days. Yet when your minds slowly withdraw and each of you half collapses with the incredible efforts, only moments have actually passed. Siobhan slows with shattered rainbows, and thee shimmer faintly about the floating half-elfin slave's form as well. Rana sighs happily. “Such magics are done so rarely....” she murmurs in a voice reminiscent of sexual satiation.

Yashi, on the other hand, stares at you with hose pale yellow eyes of hers. She looks at Siobhan, and then back to you. You smile faintly and lay your fingers upon your lips. She nods once and closes her eyes. You are....far more than you allow others to know, in many, many ways, my Leader. I will serve you until I die, or Her Majesty calls me.

I cannot let her do so, so you will serve me well and long, beautiful one – in many ways. That brings a smile to her delicate lips as she closes her eyes and rests from the intense ordeal.

You turn...and discover you have a far more interested and intensely attentive audience than you had been expecting. Yzia smiles faintly. I will enjoy seeing you explain this to her.... the wicked dragon teases.

You'd love to know how to do just that, as Tzanzi towers over you all, looking at you with a strange expression.
