Mother Senzu crouched low to the ground getting ready for the promised fight with Roni. As the young teen prepped himself, Mallow and Nodal found a nice spot on the sandy banks and sat down to watch the fight. "Stay alert Roni! She may be faster than you are!" Nodal instructed.

Roni nodded and kept his concentration on the fox as she started to circle his position. Roni turned to watch her. He blinked and in that moment she was on him striking. Roni blocked as many hits as he could and finally caught balance and shoved her away from himself. "I'm not going down that easily."

Mother Senzu jumped into the air for a spin kick. "Good!"

Since we got a picture of Mallow I'm now trying too get a picture of Roni now.

Mother Senzu's foot made contact with Roni's jaw dropping him to the ground. Nodal and Mallow flinched in pain from the hit.

"Get up Roni! You been hit harder than that before!" Nodal cheered.

Roni could feel his face swelling and thriving in pain. He struggled but finally got to his feet just in time to see his opponents fiery fists coming at him.

"BLAZING FOX FISTS!" Mother Senzu roared as she pummeled Roni back a few steps. Every hit feeling harder than the last. Roni dropped back down to his knee.

Mallow stood up with a worried look on her face. Nodal followed. "C'mon Roni. Hit her!"

1. Uppercut Mother Senzu as she attacks.

2. Sweep Mother Senzu's legs out from under her.

In between powered up punches Roni took an opportunity and spun, tripping Mother Senzy. He shook his head to try and clear it before attacking further.

"You should have attacked. Now this fight is mine!" Mother Senzu spun onto her hands whipping Roni across his face with a quick heel kick. As Roni stumbled backwards he tried to block another hit to his face.

UMPFF!

Mother Senzu delivered a finishing Blazing Fox Fist uppercut to the stomach of Roni, knocking him unconscious and ending the fight.

"He didn't stand a chance!" Nodal proclaimed as he walked over to the unconscious Roni.

"I've had much more training over the years than all of you. With some training, you all have the natural talent to become great fighters." Mother Senzu knelt down to care for the unconscious Roni.

Nodal comtenplated over what the fox had said. "Mallow, what's the plan now?"

1. Stay and train with Mother Senzu.

2. Make our way on foot into the Diablo Desert.

3. Make our way on foot to Tower City.

Mallow and Nodal agreed. "We're going to stay and train with you, if you'd have us."

Mother Senzu nodded. "It can get awfully lonely around here protecting the stalk. You three will need your own home though." She tilted her head towards the edge of the forest. "Your training begins now. Get some lumber from the forest."

Mallow looked around confused. "D-do you have an axe?"

"No my dear. You'll be cutting down those trees with your strikes. Hands and feet only. This helps build your strength with a side of survival from the elements." Mother Senzu fed a Senzu Bean to Roni as the two went to begin their training.

Roni's eyes opened from the immediate effects of the bean. "What hap- You beat me didn't you?"

Roni looked around taking in the results of their fight. "I thought I was going to be faster than you for sure."

Mother Senzu crossed her legs while sitting on the grass. She patted the open spot in front of her indicating that Roni should sit. "Its a big world out there. You were probably the fastest person where you come from but remember, there's always going to be someone better than you out there."

Roni nodded at the lesson. "Master Bossoon taught me to push myself even when I didn't need to."

"Sounds like a smart man." Mother Senzu replied.

"I miss him." Roni turned and looked off in the direction of his home island.

Mother Senzu clapped her hands together and stood up. "Your friends are training and building a shelter for you. Lets get some food cooked up for them."

Months went by as Roni, Nodal, and Mallow trained with Mother Senzu. The three fighters could feel the improvements in their fighting techniques. Between training sessions, she would teach them about the Senzu Stalk and its healing properties. Rarely were they ever interrupted.

1. Mother Senzu's training improves their individual fighting techniques.

2. Mother Senzu teaches them how to harness Ki.

3. Mother Senzu tells them of some interesting news.

Mother Senzu called Mallow, Roni, and Nodal over. "Sit. You all have worked very hard over these past months. I've seen a lot of promise in all three of you. Nodal has told me about how your Master Bassoon used a technique that could emit a flash from bringing his wrists together. That flash is called Ki, and what he was doing is harnessing that Ki as an attack."

All three fighters perked up at the explanation. "Today I am going teach you how to harness this energy found within yourselves. Bring your hands together in front of yourselves. Relax and find the Ki inside of your bodies and bring it out through your hands."

All three students of the Fox sat in a line straining to manifest Ki in their hands. After a few minutes Mother Senzu shook her head. "Don't force it. You need to control it. Keep trying." The students took a deep breath and centered their focus.

Nodal and Mallow's eyes grew wide as they flickered Ki between their hands. Nodal looked over with jealousy. The two students couldn't hold the energy for more than a moment before both slumped over exhausted. "We- We did it!"

"You're getting there at least. We will keep practicing." Mother Senzu congratulated the Roni and Mallow. She looked over to Nodal.

"Ki harnessing isn't an easy technique. Its not something that most are naturally good at." Mother Senzu patted Nodal on the back reassuring the young fighter.

"Lets all get some rest and continue training later."
