Continuing the quest to help Delilah throw the best birthday ever!Because academia and slow drawing is making me take forever. =Archive for Melancholic Quest and Delilah's Birthday Questt=http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=aCowboyNamedSue>Do I need to play MQ to play this?Nope! The only things you'd be missing out on are character cameos and references. Feel free to join this short silly drawquest anyways!
"Excuse you!" The audacity of her to even suggest something like that, it nearly leaves you speechless. "I will have you know that is very unprofessional behavior in the workplace, and I am a very professional person.""Soooo....you don't like Lawrence?""No! I mean, I like him I just don't um... like like him-""Why are you blushing then?" Marilyn grins, forcing you to turn away and hide your shame."Even if I did like him, you couldn't tell him anyways cause we're still on the job and that's against the rules.""Oh. Then I'll just tell him after the party."
You absolutely refuse to let Marilyn see your embarrassment, even if you can just feel the fact that she's relishing in it. This unfortunate timing has left your backs exposed, and as such easily get caught by the threat that looms around. The hand that grabs your shoulder glimmers with dark nail polish, a foreboding warning as you dare a peek up. Stern eyes outlined with equally dark eyeshadow looks down at you, her gaze alone enough to keep you both in place."So, you two are the ones roaming my halls. Neither of you are old enough to attend here," she pauses for a moment before ushering both of you down the hall, "To my office, let's go.""W-W-W-..." Marilyn chokes up all wide eyed, doing only slightly worse than you."A-Are you g-going to call the police...?" you choke out, noticing a fire alarm right outside of the office you're lead in to."No, I'm going to call your parents to come down and pick you up, " she explains, seating you down in the chairs right before her desk. "Unless you've been doing something illegal I should know about.""Um, nope. Nope not at all." You attempt to hide the banner out of view, Marilyn refusing to look up at all. The woman, who you assume is the principal, looks over one of her notes before walking to the door."Seems there was reports of a third person, an adult. Let me go ask my hall monitors about this, you two stay here." She walks out of the room, heel clicking fading as she walks down the hall. "I don't want to get in trouble..." Marilyn whispers, and quite frankly you're going to have to agree. How can you throw the best party ever if you're grounded? This is obviously divine intervention giving you a chance to continue this goal- you shouldn't waste it!>Just run out, she can't catch you in those heels!>Pull the fire alarm, chaos will help you escape>There's an intercom on her desk, you could totally dismiss school for everyone right now>Write-in

>>1315564>Pull the fire alarm, chaos will help you escape
>>1315564>There's an intercom on her desk, you could totally dismiss school for everyone right nowOr at least cause general chaos in the halls. Maybe we can tell Lawrence to run, will he know what we mean if we call him Wolf Man?>>1315571But that's a misdemeanor.
>>1315564>>There's an intercom on her desk, you could totally dismiss school for everyone right now
>>1315955This.We gotta try to make a deeper voice though. Hopefully Law will still catch the drift.
>>1315972*adding to that, we may want to wait for the principal to have put some distance between herself and us, otherwise she'd probably just run back to us immediately to stop any further misuse of the intercom and lock us somewhere.
You look out towards the door, waiting for any sign of a quick return. It looks like the coast is clear and opportunity presents itself on her desk. "Don't worry. we'll be out of here in a jiffy." It takes some fiddling around with the buttons and switch, but the red glow lets you know that the intercom system is on and waiting for your message."H-Hello students-" Clearing your throat, you start again with a deeper, more adult sounding voice. You scan the desk, catching the name plate that rests on the edge. "This is Ms. Du-...bois? And I am um, announcing that classes are cut short today and that students are to be released to go home earlier. That is all- oh and erm, if L-...fuzz face wolf man would make sure to go immediately to uh..."You're trying to think of a place to rendezvous with Lawrence, Marilyn's face lighting up in the short time as she seems to come up with a location.>Meet at home base!>You need those guests still, to the shopping center!>Ask Marilyn for a location>[+]Take this time to promote a totally awesome and unrelated party taking place tonight>Write-inthe gif may have errors from rendering wrong and i apologize in advance for that
>>1319817>Ask Marilyn for a locationPromoting our party would reveal who we are, though. That'd be bad.Maybe we'll bump into someone in our tactical retreat.
>>1319817This call is stuttery enough without us puttina hand on the mike to ask Marilyn's opinion.I suggest we tell him to meet us at the bakery (where we first encountered him), unless that's too far compared to the shoppong center (the day won't last forever after all).Also,>>1319821>Promoting our party would reveal who we are, though. That'd be bad.>Maybe we'll bump into someone in our tactical retreat.I agree with this.
>>1319817>You need those guests still, to the shopping center!
Rolled 3 (1d3)Since it's a tie, dice fate will decide
Your mind swirls with what to say, but you finally manage to blurt out, "The sh-shopping center! That is all!"The moment your finger leaves the intercom button you leap toward Marilyn and drag her behind, once again lugging the banner with. From the window, you watch as a classroom door open from across the hall and a teacher desperately trying to keep his students inside. When you see students, and one teacher very excited for her early weekend, heading towards the exits you decide that it is safe enough to venture out. With a brave face and Marilyn close behind, you sprint for the closest exit. Soon you'll be free, and-"Hey, wait a second!" You only stop by instinct, your shorter colleague cowering behind as you dare a peek. Rather than a very angry principal, you are greeted by the two, much more confused, student council girls. "Was that you on the speakers?" Jessica asks, her friend looking around the growing number of students in the hall with worry."Mrs. DuBois is going to make us get everyone back in..." laments Hanna, making Jessica look around again."That was you, right? What did you do that for? Where's your-" Uh oh, it's time to use your amazing negotiation skills to get out of this one."P-Party.""What?""Me am having-, I'm h-having party. Tonight." You start to push Marilyn through the doors with you. "Wait, don't leave yet!""You guys should come.""I think we need to-""We have to go now, byyyye..." you mumble off the address before grabbing Marilyn's hand and sprinting down the sidewalk. The weight of the banner makes you go out of breath rather quick, forcing you to stop for a breather.
"That was close!" you gasp, the poor aching muscles in your arms making you miss Lawrence more than ever."I bet that lady is really mad at us right now..." Marilyn looks back toward the school, box resting at her hip. "I hope they don't tell her which way we're going... where are we going anyways? You mean the shopping center down town? Have you been there before?"You must have been too busy thinking about the party so far and how much still needs to be done to make it totally rad, as Marilyn doesn't wait for any answer before speaking up again."Um, I know you're wanting guests and all. If you want, and promise not to laugh, we can stop along the way where I have some um...friends that could come. It wouldn't take long, it's along the way."Take the detour?
>>1332185Yes, maybe we'll lose anyone trying to follow us to the shopping center.
>>1332185Let's go get us some guests!
>>1332185More guests is always good
>>1332185The more people the better
"Okay, but we have to be quick-""Yeah~! Down this way!" Marilyn hardly gives you a chance to finish recuperating, moving in what is pretty much a random direction for you. It's your turn to stay half a step behind, your arms soon becoming sore once more. If it means more guests, than it must be for the best, right?..."Wait, which street are we looking for again?" You ask, looking around at the various street signs. The moment the both of you strayed from the main road, everything became new and confusing. There had been hope that Marilyn would know right where to go, but she looks as lost as you are."Um, Keeler. I think, or maybe it's Oak...""We're lost, aren't we?""No way! We aren't lost! Just um...misplaced. Or something."You can't help but sulk, wondering if Lawrence is already at the meet up point. This is going to end up wasting more time than you have, and there's still so much to do.
"I'll fix this...!" Marilyn starts to cry, her expression quickly snapping to alert mode. Motioning for you to kneel down to her level, she whispers as her eyes shift over to the sidewalk. "Don't look at him, but I think there's a weirdo up there..." she says. The moment you even try to sneak a peek she forces you to face her again. "I told you not to look!""I'm sorry-""Keep your voice down!" Marilyn hushes you, making you feel bad for even thinking about speaking."Sorry! Er, sorry... I think I saw him though. He's just standing there, why?""I dunno, there's a lot of weirdo's living here though." she grimaces, lowering her voice further, "And I think that's the way we need to go...">Chin up and no fear, walk right past him!>Don't give him a chance to follow, take an alley detour!>Go find a responsible looking adult ASAP>Write-in

"Okay so, you know how animals can sense fear and that's why they'll attack?" you whisper."They can?" Marilyn asks shocked and you nod."They sure can. Stuff like sharks and dogs and dinosaurs- all of them can tell when you're afraid.""But I'm scared of all of those things!" She can only cup her face in fear, going pale as she says, "And I'm scared of that guy!""Oh me too. But we can't let him know we're afraid. So what we need to do is stand up straight, chins up and just... walk past." you stand at attention, nodding for her to do the same. With long strides, you look away from the man standing there idly as you make sure that the banner is between him and you.It seems like you've managed to pass by unscathed, but even from behind you can both feel his slimy creepy stare at your necks.
"Laaaaadies.""Just keep going," you whisper to Marilyn, "We'll cross the street and-""And where are you two girlies going?" You try to ignore this half naked freak of nature, but panic sets in as his shadow grows larger preceding you. "Shouldn't you two be in school? Oh! Maybe you've skipped today, are you two bad girlies? Are you playing hooky? Perhaps you would like an adult to accompany you-" the large man continue to blab on and on, getting nearly close enough to grab Marilyn's shoulders before you take matters in your own hands and pull her away. You might have saved her from greasy clutches, but now the guy knows you've acknowledge him."It can be really dangerous on the street you know! Just about any weirdo could just saunter up looking for trouble! Surely I could just tag along for the sake of safety for our fine fine youth!"Once again the banner serves as a barrier between the two of you and him, the streets rather bare of any proper law enforcement."I could really use my bodyguard right about now..." you mutter.Time to use those super amazing planning skills Delilah, get out of there!>FIGHT>FORGET THAT, RUN!>AAAAAAAAAA>Write-In

You can't back down! Not now! Today is your day! Today is special, and you're going to have the best birthday ever. And no jiggly gross old guy is going to ruin it. "Please stop following us." One last chance to be polite, even though you're already pulling Marilyn closer."I'm not following you, I'm joining you!" He starts to clap his pudgy hands together, much happier about this than either of you are. "I know this amazing place under the bridge!"You move Marilyn out of the way and take up the banner again, lugging the heavy weight of it up."It's my birthday!" So much for being cool, but your sudden shout is more than enough to take him surprise. "I don't know you!"With the raise of your leg, the tip of your shoe finds it's target as you bring down the weight of the rolled up vinyl.Assault had not been part of your birthday plans.
I have to go on a school trip for the next three days and the thread is about to fall off the board, I will post the second part of the gif then. Pls behave
