Hearing that the sound was coming from the village you quickly drop the tornado. Thomas quickly steps out still coated in flames though you can see that he is a bit weaker than he was before you put him in the vortex.

“So that wasn’t the wind”, says Thomas looking over at you seriously, “I guess we should go take care of it.”

Before he can run off you hold up your hand. “While I agree with you on that come over here real quickly so I can heal you.”

“So you’re good at fighting and you can heal that’s impressive”, he says walking over to you and removing his flames, “So which mage academy did you go to.”

“Oh none”, you reply laying your hands on him and allowing your energy to flow, “I never had a formal mage education. I just was trained by family as a merchant. Now let’s move.”

With that you take off into the settlement with Thomas right on your tail. When you arrive you are greeted by a monstrous sight. At the edge of the settlement is a large snake creature covered in crystals which glow the purple of Angelica’s poison, and it is staring down Angelica.

Angelica turns towards you with fear in her eyes, “This creature is somehow immune to magical attacks. What should we do?”

“Angelica get Tiberius and the troops”, you shout to her as you grab your gun, “We will need them to help put this beast down.”

She nods and heads off to get the guard. As she does that the creature makes his move. It fires a purple blast of energy at you. You quickly duck out of the way and fire a shot off at the creature. In response to your attack the creature slithers out of the way.

“Don’t worry I got this”, says Thomas charging the creature.

It fires off small blasts of acid at Thomas, but he just dashes out of the way. The flames from his body streak off as he dashes towards the creature. He then grabs two knives from behind his back and continues his charge. Thomas then leaps on to the snake and runs his blades down the creature’s side. The creature screams out and tries to retaliate, but Thomas dodges out of the way in time.

Thomas continues his barrage of strikes upon the snake. He dashes across the massive beast slashing across its body opening a large number of cuts across the snake’s body. As you do this you take your chance. You gather your mana and begin to focus towards your foe. The snake is now bleeding from a number of cuts and roars out in pain. You release your mana towards the creature and it makes a direct hit.

However, it has no effect on the beast other than turning his crystals to a sickly purple color. The creature tries to retaliate, but it is interrupted by another series of strikes from Thomas. While he continues his attack you see that Tiberius has shown up with Lance and Marius. The three of them nod to you and look towards the snake.

The snake lunges over at you all roaring the whole time as Thomas stabs it. It flies over the ground at you and the others and you quickly form a gale wall to block its progress. It works for a few seconds, but the creature manages to break through the barrier rather quickly with its crystals lightening up.

“So the creature just absorbs mana”, says Marius looking over at, “I guess I will actually have to attack it.

With that he and Tiberius both charge towards the creature. Tiberius raises his blade and leaps over at the snake. However, the creature dances out of the way and moves to strike at Tiberius. However, the creature is meet by Marius calmly raising his axe. He then slams his axe into the snake’s skull causing it to scream in pain. Lance joins Marius by launching himself into the air with fire magic and slamming into the snake’s eye.

The creature gives off another roar and falls lifeless to the ground. With that done the five of you gather together and decide to….

You head over to the snake and begin looking the beast over. You see that the crystals that cover his body still carry the colors they did in life. In addition to that you can see that they are not a covering and are indeed a part of him.

“Ah. So you have defeated the creature”, says Angelica dashing over to your side.

“Yes we have, but could you tell us where it came from please”, you ask her looking around the area for an answer to your question.

“The creature tunneled up from where we get the crystals frim by the lake. It happened as I was examining the crystal bed. Now if you shall excuse me I shall be examining its body.”

The three of you walk over to the hole and begin looking around it. You can see that the hole is lined with crystals and seems to run under the lake. Other than that there seems to be nothing that special about the hole at all.

“Well I have analyzed the creature and it is rather impressive”, says Angelica as she walks over to the three of you. “From what I can tell it was a female of its species. In addition to that the creature is able to absorb any mana it comes in contact with no matter the purpose. You listen to the call and begin to walk towards the egg. When you reach the egg you place your right hand on it and are surrounded by a white flash. When the flash dies down you see that the egg is now covered in markings and pulses with a strange green light.

“I am now yours master”, says a voice that seems to slither through your ears, “I shall serve you from my birth to your death, but first I must ask what my name is?”

Before you can answer the voice you are grabbed by Tiberius who looks at you worriedly.

“Don’t worry I’m fine”, you say looking over at him, “We should probably start moving this stuff.”

With that the three of you start to take the eggs from the chamber. When you take the first batch up you see that the chief Amala is waiting outside of the hole.

“Ah so I was right you all ran into a crystal serpent”, she says looking over at you. “We assumed that they had died out years ago. I guess we were wrong. Is there anything you would like to ask me about them?”

“What are these crystal snakes”, you ask looking over at her as you place some of the eggs down.

“Crystal snakes are a strange beasts that reside near crystals. They possess the ability of the crystals to absorb any mana they come into contact with. In addition to that they eat crystals for sustenance in addition to being carnivorous. They are truly fearsome creatures”, as she says this she looks over at the eggs.

“Ah yes we found these eggs when we went down the hole it came from”, you tell her as you hold up the egg you touched. “However, when I touched this one I heard a voice come from it.”
She looks over at you and her eyes gleam gold for a quick second.

“It appears that you have formed a soul body with the snake in that egg. What you heard was most likely the voice of the snake. Regarding the eggs they should be kept near crystals so being in that cave will be great for them. Any other questions?

With that she leaves and you head up to the room with your wife and son. You manage to get some sleep in despite his rather infrequent cries. When you wake up you head over to the training field. You feel the urge to head put and explore the area. You call Tiberius over and he nods and grabs his materials. With that done you head to the edge of the settlement. The two of you decide to…

Haven't been there for a long time.

The two of you decide that heading back to the Lupus camp would work out rather well for you. With that in mind you gather all your gear and begin to move through the forest. The trip is rather easy as you know the way and it’s not that tough to go through. When you arrive things are a bit more ruined than how you left it. The tents have gone into disrepair and the ground is littered with small items. The two of you stop at the camp and begin to look around it.

The two of you walk along for a while before you hear footsteps. You quickly slide into the tent and look carefully through the seam of the tent. To your surprise a little girl in a red hood comes along the path carrying a small basket. She immediately gets to work looking around the camp and grabbing items seemingly at random. She seems to not be aware of the presence of the two of you giving you and opening.

The two of you decide that it would be best to observe her from her current position. The girl continues to walk around the camp muttering to herself the whole time. Curious you move closer to the girl to catch what she is saying.

“I’ll kill them. I'll kill them all for killing papa, mama, and big sis. I’ll never forgive them. One day when I take back the tribe I’ll kill them all. But first I gotta take care of this filthy birds. Then the tribe will be back and wwe can get vengeance. Yes one day as long as I wait.”

The girl continues to wander around and after a while she sits down. From her basket she pulls out a crystal and holds it in her hand. It is then that you see a strange sight as the crystal slowly dims as the mana drains from it. The girl then gets up and continues around.

As long as she thinks that the Asherans killed her tribe (which is what I take from her statement), we shouldn't be too threatening to her. Maybe we can find an agreement? She might be actually useful.
>>1309441
>A. Twitter
I know how Twitter works, but can't say so about Discord.
>C. It's up to you.
I've been here since the first Pokémon medieval and I must say that I love both of these quests. So you decide what you want to run at what time.
>E. I can't decide
All of those sound great. But I happen to be most intrigued by B. and D. The others, I have seen done already. But the others seem like a new idea.

You nod at Tiberius and walk over towards the little girl. You barely make it two steps before she sighs and turns around. She sighs and looks over in your direction with a look of disinterest.

When she gets to your rations she starts salivating and begins to shove her food down her throat. She doesn’t stop at you as she goes to eat Tiberius’ rations also.

“Well this has gone on long enough”, you say looking over at her, “I shall end this here.”

With that you jump back and form a tornado upon the girl. The whirling vortex of wind wraps around her and soon you can only see her outline. However, soon you hear her laugh ringing out from the wind.

“Really attacking a child have you no shame sir. Oh well this won’t do anything to me anyway you only signed a contract for your death”, she says walking over toward the wind vortex. She then raises her hand to the winds. Surprisingly when her hand touches it the wind fades away and flows into her. She walks out with a smile.

“Your move wind boy”, she says grinning.

You look over at Tiberius and flick your head towards the training field where the men currently are. He nods in understand and begins to run over to the field. However, he is intercepted by the girl, who dashes in front of him.

“Why do you want to run away mister”, she says with an evil grin on her face. As soon as the words leave her mouth her body shifts into that of a white wolf. She launches herself at Tiberius and begins biting down on his arm. You twist your mana and throw a curse of slow at her, but like the wind it has no effect on her.

She ignores you and keeps biting into Tiberius causing her pain. It is then that you make your move. With the wind you move the gun over to your hands. The second it it’s in your hand you look down it and pull the trigger. The bullet flies straight towards the girl and slams right into the head. The force of the shot sends her flying back and she slams into the ground. She stands up on shaky legs and prepares herself to charge again.
