“Well... is this the worst thing to happen to us so far?”

Saki grimaces as she summons her lance and shield at the borders of the small village of Kibo. It's surreal... there you were, enjoying some peace and quiet with Saki and your family when out of nowhere Tsuki appeared on the television, announced he had destroyed the city of Raibaru and had bubbled in every major city in Japan, with plans to do the same to them. Of course, his definition of major cities is something you've found yourself calling into question, as even your tiny fishing village has been surrounded in a bubble.

“Stand back,” Saki mutters, as she drives her lance into the bubble... only to be shocked and sent flying several metres back through the air.

“Sak!” you exclaim with concern to check on her.

“I'm fine...” Saki replies, propping herself up with her lance. “But it looks like we can't get out of here through traditional means...”

“There's gotta be a way...” you mutter. “Tsuki was strong, be he isn't strong enough to hold a portal over every city at once, right?”

“Unless...” Saki mutters. “Did he fuse again with Taiyo? They were once the one entity... maybe he has all of his power back?”

“He didn't look like the two had fused,” Stranger mutters.

“Maybe Tsuki absorbed Taiyo?” Nina suggests.

You pull out your phone and start ringing your contacts. “Come on, Ken... pick up...”

“No answer from Akio either...” Saki mutters. “I'll try Sayeka-”

“Don't bother,” you reply. “There's no signal at all, that's our problem.”

“So...” Saki pauses, attempting to recount the situation. “We're trapped in here at the behest of an Archdemon, unable to get out and no way to contact the rest of us... we've bounced back from worse, right?”

You scratch the back of your head. “I don't know, Sak... this one is tricky, I don't know if we-”

“Ryoji!” Saki snaps, a determined look on her face. “Don't tell me you're about to get negative and cynical!”

“Saki, I-”

“Did you forget who we are?” Saki replies. “We're the greatest class in the history of Dark Gate! We've fought more powerful enemies and discovered more secrets of the darkworld than anyone to come before us! We're not going to give up after a roadblock like this! When you and I are together, there's never been anything we couldn't do! Ryoji, I love you, and it's that love that gives me the power to-”

“Saki, that's a great speech and everything,” you mutter. “But my parents are behind you.”

“Ryoji...” you mother mumbles in a confused tone. “What is this? What's going on? And... why is Saki holding such a large weapon in one hand? Dear, that must be so heavy for you!”

“Son, your mother and I are very concerned,” Ryoji Sr. adds. “Please, tell us what's happening.”

"Okay..." you mutter. "You might find this hard to believe, but bear with me..."

"Ryoji?" your mother mumbles. "Is something wrong?"

You shake your head. "That school that we go to... it's special. The kids there... they have powers. And they use those powers to fight... well, to fight monsters. Demons, from another realm. It's because of one of those demons that I lost so many of my memories. And the man you just saw on tv? He's a demon too, and we have to stop him."

"Your memories..." your mother mumbles, "You lost them... because of that school? The school we sent you to... oh, my god, that's horrible! I'm so sorry, Ryoji! M-my little baby boy..."

"Ma, don't cry..." you sigh, placing your hand on your mother's shoulder. "It's okay. I like it there... it's dangerous, but we're doing important work. And it's there that I met all my friends. That I met Saki... you won't believe how many times she's saved my life..."

"I can believe it," Yuki sniffles. "Saki's very brave..."

"I don't understand most of what you just said," your father mutters. "But are you telling me that you are going to fight the man on tv? The one that destroyed a city?"

"Yes."

"Son..." he mutters, before closing his eyes. "If... If that's what you have to do, then I can't stop you. Just... promise your mother and I that you'll be careful. Both of you."

"We promise," Saki replies.

Your mother approaches Saki and gives her a long hug. "Please... take care of our little boy," she cries.

"I will..." Saki smiles. "Now, the two of you should get inside, where it's safe. I don't want my family getting hurt."

Your mother and father nod before returning to their houses. You look to Saki and give a knowing smirk. "What?" she asks.

"You just called them your family."

"I-I know..." Saki blushes. "But that's not important right now. We have to keep our head in the game... and find a way out of here."

"Yeah..." you reply. "It doesn't look like hitting it will do... and neither of us have magic."

"Maybe I could do something..." Stranger mutters. "But I don't think we should use the stone just yet... we may need to save that for Tsuki and Yami."

"If only we knew what the others were up to..." Saki mutters. "Things are so much easier when we're all together..."

"Stand back guys, I'll take care of this one all by myself!" Akio exclaims.

"Are you sure that's wise?" Hikaru asks. "I mean... I know you're not, because you're dumb, but do you really want to go hitting that dome? It's probably loaded with energy that'll hit you if you try to break out."

"That's... a good point," Akio concedes. "Okay, do any of you have any bright ideas?"

"We could try examining the chemical compound of the dome," Satomi explains. "After all, it must be made from something... and that something could have a structural weakness."

"We're not able to gather a sample from this thing," Hikaru sighs. "It's a dome... what we really need to do is-"

"How about digging?" Seishiro suggests. "I mean, if its a dome then maybe it doesn't reach underground? So we could try digging under the thing and seeing where that takes us?"

"Wow Seishiro..." Hikaru mutters. "That's actually-"

"Really dumb? Yeah, I figured from how I was-"

"No, it's actually what I was about to say," Hikaru replies. "We could try that. Alternatively, this could be a small pocket of the Darkworld... like the ones Yami created in the past. If so, we should try looking for some sort of demon that could be operating as the guardian of this area."

"Maybe it can," Satomi shrugs. "These domes... it seems to reek of a vast display of power, do you know what I mean?"

"What, that Tsuki's all show?" Seishiro asks. "I don't wanna scare you, cutiebutt... but the dude destroyed a city."

Hikaru shakes her head. "I'm a little suspicious of that myself..."

"What do you mean?" Akio asks.

"Nothing," Hikaru replies. "I don't know anything yet, but I just have a gut feeling... do you want try digging?"

"Okay!" Akio exclaims, readying his spear. "Stand back people, because Akio Naito is going to show you all why he is the world's strongest human!"

Akio raises his spear high in the air, as the blade of his massive mechanical weapons begins to whirr. "DRILL ATTACK!" Akio screams, as he plants his weapon into the earth, and quickly begins to create a large hole in the earth, digging deep below.

"Woohoo! My bro is doing it!" Seishiro pumps his fist. "You go, Aki!"

"Be careful while you're down there!" Hikaru yells in concern. "It's just a theory, so you still might run into-"

"GAH!"

"-The barrier..." Hikaru mutters. "Are you okay?"

"IT HURTS, BUT..." Akio groans from beneath the tunnel. "IT SEEMS WEAKER AT THIS POINT! LESS FORTIFIED! IF I PUSH ON, MAYBE I CAN..."

Akio continues to drive his spear into the dome's structure, fighting hard against the pain and the pressure as he drives his spear forward trying as best he can to push through.

"I... THINK... I... CAN..." he groans and grunts as he pushes forward. "I... CAN... DO... I-GAH!"

Hikaru, Seishiro and Satomi are treated to the sight of Akio being launched up from the pit he created in what looks like and explosion of energy in his face.

"AKIO!" Hikaru screams, as she scrambles to create a sphere of water to break Akio's fall before rushing over to him.

"Aki, you okay bro?" Seishiro asks, rushing to his side as well.

"Fine..." Akio groans. "Just a little... banged up, that's all..."

"Dammit, Akio..." Hikaru mutters. "You had me so worried!"

"I know, right?" the hurt Akio smirks. "Damn, you're so in love with me..."

Hikaru hits him with a whack across the back of the head. "Less ego, more solutions! We can't flirt at a time like this, genius."

"But you want to, right?"

"Yes, but that's not the point!" Hikaru replies. "Looks like we're gonna have to turn to the other plan..."

"Oh boy, a fight..." Akio smirks.

Hikaru shakes her head. "Take it easy. Don't go rushing into anything in your condition..."

"Well, we can't expect any of the others to fight our battle for us, can we?"

"We've got to help them!"

Ken and Nanami thought they had made a great decision in ducking out of Nanami's parents place before midnight to catch a romantic dinner together outside of town. It wasn't that Nanami's parents weren't fun, it's that... well, they were lame, with a strict ten o'clock bedtime set for the entire house on New Year's Eve of all days. Ken didn't like the idea of breaking the rules even if he didn't agree with them, but Nanami insisted that they could play it fair and make it up to her parents the next day.

Of course, now the likelihood of that has been called into question.

"I don't get it..." Ken mutters, examining the dome around his home from the outside. "I thought Tsuki said on that television in the restaurant that he closed in every major city. Your town... well, isn't."

"That scurvy dog!" Nanami shakes her fist. "I know exactly what that rapscallion did! He closed in the homes of all of the students! He's trapped our crew!"

"Then it's a good thing we ducked out before he did it to us..." Ken sighs. "We've got to break the others out!"

"How?" Nanami asks.

"I don't know, maybe there's something we can do on the outside of these things..." Ken mutters. "Nanami, what's the nearest town with another of our classmates?"

"Uhh..." Nanami pauses in thought. "Chihiro lives not far from here... her dad's mansion is a little to the North... and Akemi is in the next town over to the west!"

"Then we should try helping one of them first," Ken explains. "The sooner we regroup, the easier this will all be."

"Good thinking!" Nanami pumps her fist. "I can see why I made you co-captain, Ken! Except..."

Nanami's smiles fades as Ken tilts his head. "Something wrong?"

"I know we should regroup..." Nanami mutters. "But... my parents are in there... the people in this dome need help too, right?"

"Chihiro and Akemi and all the others will be able to handle themselves for now," Ken explains. "But there's innocent people in here... and they might be in serious trouble without anyone to help them. We need to save them."

"We can be superheroes," Nanami smiles. "Just like you've always wanted, right?"

"Yeah..." Ken replies.

"Hey, remember that time at the campaign trip when you and I re-enacted an entire episode of one of your favourite sentai shows?"

"Yeah," Ken chuckles. "But why bring it up now?"

Nanami shrugs. "Things are looking pretty bad, and I wanted to see you laugh. Let's not lose hope."

Nanami and Ken summon their weapons, and Nanami drives her cutlass into the dome. Surprisingly, it cuts open like a hot knife through butter. "Huh... didn't expect that."

"I think more of the effort into making these domes was to make sure they kept people inside," Ken explains. "Which also means that when we get in there... we might not be coming out."

"Don't focus on the bad stuff!" Nanami exclaims. "It's not becoming of my co-captain! This is a ship that runs on positivity and love!"

"Okay," Ken smiles. "I love you... and I'm positive we can do this together."

As Ken and Nanami enter the town, they're surprised to see it looks exactly the same as they left it.

"Doesn't look like the Darkworld to me..." Ken mutters. "Hell, the streetlights are still on."

People are still roaming around on the streets, confused and afraid of what's going on as they go about their night. Seems quite a few of the were partying when the news broke, and aren't sure what to do with themselves now. From the corner of Ken's eye, he spots some figures sprinting along on the rooftops. Demons? Most likely.

"So, what do we do?" Ken asks.

"Y'arr, we should head up high!" Nanami exclaims. "Mount the mast and defeat the scallywag!"

"Why are you using your pirate voice right now?" Ken asks.

"Because I'm nervous..." Nanami admits. "Now, let's go!"

The two scale the nearest rooftop, keeping their eyes open for the nearest hint of evil.

"Doesn't seem to be anything up here..." Ken replies. "Maybe I was just seeing things-wait, did you see that?"

Nanami notices something speeding past her peripheral vision. "Yeah, I think I did..."

"It seemed... fast..."

"Let's just hope it was Rei," Nanami jokes. "Heh... Rei, is that you?! Come on out, don't be shy, nothing to be afraid-EEP!"

The creature whizzes by Nanami again, this time much closer... and swinging a spear. Nanami manages to parry with her cutlass in time, leaping back as the demon makes itself known to the two. It looks like a woman... but floating in mid-air with what appears to be a fishes tail. A twisted creature for sure, perhaps something straight out of the mind of The Darkness?

"Oh boy, I wonder who this was?" Ken rolls his eyes. "Yami's teacher? His first crush? His second cousin?"

"Or maybe it's just a regular monster," Nanami suggests. "Made to... hurt us, y'know?"

"Nanami, don't be scared," Ken replies. "We can do this if we work together. And besides, this isn't the first time I've had to fight one of Yami's creations. Maybe this time I'll be able to unlock my angel pow-"

Ken is interrupted by a thwack to the face from the creature, sending him flying from the rooftop.

"Ken!" Nanami exclaims, as Ken somersaults in the air, and lands safely on his feet on the street below... the street covered with people.

"Don't worry, we still have this!" Ken exclaims.

Both in that Ken works to clear the streets while Nanami distracts and brings it down when the ztreets are empty. Fighting on rooftops seems dangerous and it'll likely cause a fuck ton of damage and be brought down to the streets eventually anyway.

"Nanami, look out!" Ken yells from below. Nanami turns around to block a slash from the spear of the demon.

"Don't worry about me, Ken!" she yells below. "I can handle this myself! You just focus on getting the people to safety!"

"Be careful, I'll be joining you in a minute!" Ken shouts. "Okay, everyone! I need you all to get inside! The streets aren't safe!"

As Ken herds the people into their homes, Nanami swiftly dodges the shots from the demon with ease and determination. Many have often underestimated the skill Nanami has. Forgotten that while she's quite the goofball, she's also very adept with a blade and pistol.

The creature flies at Nanami and she leaps over it with ease, landing on it's shoulders with a knowing smile. "Y'arr!" she exclaims. "No fish has bested the great sea captain Nanami Fu-wait a minute!"

The demon tosses Nanami back, but the pirate manages to roll out of it unscathed. "Whew, almost lost my hat on that one!" she laughs. The demon fires back, but Nanami side-steps, affording her a well-placed slash across the side of the creature as it passes by... followed by a pistol shot to the face.

"As I said, I'm master over all of the sea!" Nanami exclaims. "What are you going to do about it?"

The demon clutches it's side... Nanami's blade cut very deep indeed. The creature raises it's arms high, as ithe spear grows several times in size.

"Oh... that," Nanami replies. "You'll do... that. Ken?"

With a wild swing, the demon comes at Nanami with it's spear.

Nanami readies her cutlass in order to block the shot, while also taking potshots at the demon with her pistol. Every single shot is deflected by the massive spear as the demon speeds directly in front of her. Nanami raises her sword, defending her body, but the force of the blow is too much, sending her flying from one rooftop to the other.

"NANAMI!" Ken exclaims as he sees his girlfriend being launched. The demon flies from one rooftop to the other, bringing the spear down upon Nanami yet again. Smashing up the roof with the force of the attack, as Nanami falls down into the building below.

"Ken..." Nanami groans from inside. "Help..."

"Dammit..." Ken mutters, as he looks at the people returning to their homes. "Hang on, Nanami! I'm coming!"

Ken readies his rod as he scales the next building, ready to come to the rescue.

Ken rushes to leap into the collapsing building by Nanami's side, as the demon readies another massive attack with it's spear. "Don't worry, Nanami..." he mutters as her drops by her side. "I'm here for you..."

"K-ken..." Nanami groans in pain, picking herself up from the rubble of the building. "We have to... look out!"

The demon's spear comes down, as Ken moves to defend Nanami, moving on instinct in hope of deflecting the attack in some way with his rod... but no, the monster is too strong. It's spear pierces into the back of Ken as he covers Nanami to defend her, causing him to cough up blood in the process.

"KEN!" Nanami screams.

"N-Nanami..." Ken coughs. "I'll... be okay... I've survived... worse..."

"No!" Nanami panics, as Ken's eyes begin to shut closed. "Oh no, I have to... I have to do something!" she exclaims to herself, looking around, examining the demon. It's then that she notices a strange protruding boil in the beasts' shoulder, one that is growing in size more and more as the spear grows larger. A weak point? Maybe...

Nanami closes on eye as she tries to aim and focus from underneath Ken, focusing her pistol on the demon above as it readies it's spear once more. "Come on, come on..." Nanami mutters. "You can do it... you can... you... you can't do it. You can't do anything, Nanami... you're nothing but a boring old failure..."

Nanami takes a deep breath. "No... I can."

With determination, Nanami pulls the trigger on her pistol. The bullet whizzes up, a pierces into the bubbling boil of the creature above. It bursts, unloading a pile of stinking yellow puss below, which Nanami rolls herself and Ken away from, as she scrambles to her feet and moves out of the building to escape the creature that is still living, but shrieking in pain and flailing around. Better to take some time to recover while it's distracted.

"Ken..." Nanami mutters as she holds her boyfriend close. "Ken, please... wake up... I can't lose you! Come on..."

"N-Nanami..." Ken's voice groans.

"Ken!" Nanami exclaims in relief. "You... you're alive! I... I was so worried that-"

"You're kneeling on my junk..." Ken whispers.

"Oh!" Nanami turns bright red in embarrassment. "Sorry! Are... you okay?"

Ken and Nanami ready their weapons. "Are you ready?" Ken asks.

"Of course!" Nanami smiles. "It's Ken and Nanami, co-captains forever!"

The two charge at the demon with their weapons drawn, and launch themselves at the same time. Nanami stumbles as little and the demon moves to attack, but Ken uses that as an opening to whack the demon in the side of the head hard with his rod, smashing it down into the concrete of the street below. The demon shrieks in pain as Ken brings the rod back down upon it yet again, pining it down while Nanami finishes it off with her sword.

With the killing blow, the demon dissipates into black goo as all Darkworlder do and dissolves into the air. With a triumphant and painful groan, Ken falls back into a seated position in exhaustion. "That... that was way too tough for just the two of us..."

"But we still beat it, didn't we?" Nanami smiles. "We did it together!"

"Is that them?" one of the voices in the crowd mutters.

"Yeah, didn't you see? They were fighting that thing!"

They could see the demon? Of course... must be an effect of the domes. Tsuki wants to scare people, which is why these weren't just pockets of the Darkworld like before. He wanted them to see the monsters he and Yami created."

"Are they superheroes?"

"What are you, stupid? Of course they are! Look at them! He's like the Red Mask... and she's... some sort of pirate? Eh, I don't care... they killed it!"

"Hooray for the heroes!"

"Heroes..." Ken smiles. "Come on, Nanami... let's find the others."

As the two get ready to leave, Nanami can't resist but to turn around and make a dynamic pose for the crowd. "The day has been saved once again by The Sea Queen and The Justice Rider!"

"Justice Rider?"

"Good name, right?"

"Okay Kin... time for us to be heroes," Rei smiles as she hunkers down with the small child. "You hide inside with your mom and dad, okay?"

"What's the plan of attack?" Akira asks, as the trio of herself, Rei and Isamu walks away from the house.

"We search for demons," Rei replies. "We have to wipe out any enemies quick, before innocent people get hurt."

"A FINE STRATEGY!" Isamu exclaims. "Together, we three heroes shall topple this accursed dome!"

"Okay..." Akira mutters as she adjusts her mechanical arm, fitting it to her stump. "Should we split up? We could cover more ground, and alert the others when we find any enemies."

Rei sighs. "I know you're goofing off, Isamu... but North's as good a guess as any. Come on, let's go."

Rei rushes forward, but Isamu catches her by the wrist. In a swift motion, he pulls her in and gives her a quick kiss on the lips. "Isamu, you goofball! Now's not the time to-"

"I love you, Miss Arisato."

"Yeah, I know..." Rei blushes. "I love you too... but there's no need to make things sound so dire. We'll be fine."

"I know," Isamu replies. "It's just... even the bravest and most glorious of heroes gets scared every now and then."

"That's why you have me," Rei smirks, as the trio press forward north, towards the town square... and what they see shocks them.

"LOOK OUT!" Akira yells, as she pushes a civilian out of the way of a swinging flail that tears through a nearby wall.

"Well, this guy didn't bother to hide himself, did he?" Rei mutters, looking towards the hulking brute swinging it's ball and chain around.

"One of us is going to have to handle the civilians!" Rei exclaims. "Any volunteers?"

"Take it away, oh great and inspirational hero," Rei smiles, as Isamu clears his throat and finds the nearest crate that he can stand on.

"PEOPLE!" he exclaims. "LISTEN TO ME, YOUR GREAT HERO AND KNIGHT ISAM-WHOA!"

Isamu's yelling catches the attention of the demon, who swings it's ball at Isamu, completely destroying the crate as Isamu leaps onto a market stall to safety, not missing a beat in his speech. "YOU ALL MUST REMAIN INDOORS. MYSELF AND SEVERAL OTHER HEROES ARE HANDLING THIS MONSTER, BUT YOU ALL MUST GO INDOORS!"

The people begin to flee, as Rei and Akira strike while the creature it preoccupied with the yelling idiot. Rei slashes at the creature but doesn't quite manage to pierce the hide of the demon as it tosses her over it's shoulder. It launches it's flail at Rei while she's mid-air, but Akira has her bayonet at the ready, firing upon the ball and causing it to swing away from Rei... of course the momentum of the chain shifts, and Akira finds herself being hit in the side by it, flying headfirst into the nearest wall.

"Akira!" Rei yells. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine..." Akira mutters as she picks herself back up and adjusts her prosthetic with a groan. "We can destroy this beast."

Akira readies her bayonet and begins with the heavy fire on the demon while Isamu leads civilians to safety. As Akira lets loose with the explosive rounds, Rei begins to speed and zip around the demon, looking for any point, any joint that looks weaker on the demon.

"Any luck?" Akira asks.

"Just keep firing!" Rei assures her. "I'll find something!"

Akira keeps firing on the demon to keep it occupied while Rei continues to examine it. "Damn..."

"Something wrong?"

"I can't find anything!" Rei exclaims. "Nothing that I can sink my sword into... unless..."

"What?"

"I think I worked something out!" Rei exclaims. "Stop firing for a sec!"

Akira listens to Rei's request, ceasing her fire. In response, the demon of course aims it's wrecking ball towards the girl who has been firing on it for ages.

"Rei?" Akira asks.

"Fire now!" Rei yells as the demon flings the wrecking ball in Akira's direction. Akira fires, hitting the wrecking ball with an explosive round, sending it flying back... right into the chest of the demon, crunching and cracking the demon's armour as it does.

Rei wastes no time in taking advantage, driving her blade deep into the opening. The demon roars before shaking Rei off, landing on her feet with a smirk. The demon goes mad, swinging it's ball and chain around, slamming it into the ground in order to make shockwaves around Rei and Akira.

The shockwaves throughout the earth in the town square is overpowering, breaking open a piece of the ground that Rei falls and sinks into, the ground still rumbling as she begins to be crushed in between stones.

"REI!" Akira yells, planting her bayonet into the earth in order to steady herself.

"Don't worry about me!" Rei yells. "Just take that thing down!"

"Don't..." Akira mutters, as she stares down the creature. "Don't you hurt Rei!"

Akira screams as a deep rage appears behind her eyes. Akira keeps her bayonet planted in the earth at an angle... before pulling the trigger, launching herself towards the demon with an intense fury. As she reaches the demon, she slams it with a swing of her heavy bayonet, smashing it into the creatures' weakened chest, shattering it further. Akira follows it up with an upward swing, launching the demon into the air.

"Akira..." Rei mutters as she crawls out of the rubble. "Damn... that's impressive."

Akira lets out a battle cry as she fires upward, unleashing a barrage of heavy fire and explosive shots into the damaged chest of the demon. Each shot explodes on the demon, tearing it more and more apart with each blast, until the demon finally, thankfully explodes in the air, as the dome above it disappears.

Akira's breath is heavy, staring up at the sky where the creature once was, as Rei moves and places a hand on her shoulder. "You okay?"

Akira sighs. "Yes... I'm fine. Thank you, Rei."

"A-ha!" Isamu exclaims with joy, wrapping his arms over the shoulders of both girls. "Once again, the great heroes save the day! Of course, most of the work here was done by the beautiful goddesses before me!"

"I don't know," Rei smirks. "You didn't hesitate to get those civilians to safety... because of you we have no casualties. My hero."

Rei smiles before kissing the blushing Isamu on the cheek. "And Akira... that was just awesome."

"Thank you," Akira replies, pulling out a small box of pocky from her pocket. "Celebratory candy?"

Rei nods. "Yeah, of course."

The trio collapse on the floor with a relieved sigh each... of course, their job is far from done.

Sayeka shakes her head at Maro's question. "No... I can't."

"The hell kind of seer are you?" Taka grumbles. "You a fraud or something?"

Maro turns his head to the sound of the voice that spoke. Before him stands Kaiya, swaying back and forth as she walks with a wide grin on her face. "Oh, it's you... the girl with the prophecies. Are you a seer?"

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Yasutake asks. "Maro, make her talk sense!"

Maro and the others look up to the sky, and immediately see exactly what Kaiya is referring to.

The trio wander the streets to see others in a panic, running around.

Akemi speeds ahead of the other two as she starts addressing the crowd, giving an encouraging thumbs up. "Hi everyone! You don't need to be scared! Everything's gonna be okay when me and my friends take care of it! Just hide in your houses, and it'll be safe!"

"OUT OF MY WAY!" one of the looters yells as he attempts pushing past Akemi, who simply grabs the television set from his hands.

"That's not yours!" Akemi yells. "It's... well, I don't know who owns it! Whoever owns that window you broke! It's not nice to take other people's things, you know! You should go home and think about what you did!"

"Why's this little kid talking to me like that?" the looter exclaims. "I'll show you!"

The looter tries to shove Akemi down... but isn't able to budge her an inch. After all, he's just a normal human, and she's awakened.

"Heh... you're funny!" Akemi laughs. "Don't worry people, just go inside and you'll be save. Now, I'm going to put this tv back!"

Akemi happily marches back to the store with the broken window and places the television back on display. "Everyone go home. We'll take care of this!"

"I fail to see how a little kid like you can take care of this!" a woman in the crowd yells.

"Not just me!" Akemi laughs. "Me and my friends! There's Akuro, and Raiden over there!"

Akemi points towards the others, eliciting shrieks from the crowd.

"What's wrong with his face?!"

"What happened to him?"

"Oh god, the streets aren't safe! Look what happened to that kid!"

The people scramble to return to their homes, as Akemi skips back over to Akuro and Raiden, who is hanging his head low. "It's okay, Raiden! I think you have a nice face!"

"Thanks, Akemi..." Raiden mutters. "And good work... demon."

"Ha, I'm not a demon-"

"No, down the street," Raiden points. "I've spotted it."

An large and incredibly rotund creature, waddling down the street, baring a grin of jaged sharp teeth.

"Well, at least it's far away... and slow," Akuro points out. "What's our plan of attack?"

"Sure thing!" Akemi gives a cheerful salute, before immediately getting to work, summoning turrets parts, setting them up and arming them in record time while Akuro and Raiden hold off the big demon with their own fire.

"Ta-daa!" Akemi exclaims as she presents a series of turrets set up directly in front of her. "These should take care of that big guy!"

"Akemi, how did you do that so fast?" Akuro asks.

Raiden places his hand on Akuro's shoulder. "It's best you don't question Akemi. She never makes sense."

"Alrighty, let's gooooo!" Akemi exclaims. "Step aside, the turret train is coming! Choo-choo!"

Raiden and Akuro step out of the way as Akemi lets loose with the turrets, firing a series of shots into the demon as it continues to make it's way up the street. Akemi continues to maintain the turrets as they fire, ensuring that they don't overheat, zipping between turrets and tinkering with them with incredible speed.

The bullets pierce into the big belly of the monster, bursting into splatters of black blood, and while the assault slows it down greatly, it doesn't seem to be doing anything to take down the big monster.

"Hmm... how about those electric cables?" Raiden points out the wires hanging above. "Do you think a shock of electricity could do something to it?"

"Why? Because that would be cool?" Akuro retorts. "Geez, big bro sometimes it's better to be practical instead of brave and stupid. I can try to find a weakpoint on the demon's body to exploit, and we won't have to do anything so risky."

"You're worried about my well-being, I get it..." Raiden mutters. "You don't trust me not to get hurt."

Akuro sighs. "Yeah, well... look at you. You've been hurt enough. I just don't want my big brother getting killed because he's an idiot."

"Keep that thing busy, I'm going to try this," Raiden tells the other two.

Akemi gives a salute, while Akuro tries to protest. "What happened to not putting yourself in danger-"

"I'll be fine as long as I can trust you two to back me up," Raiden explains. "And you need to trust that I'm capable of doing something... I'm your older brother. I'm not a child, and I need you to trust me."

"I know, but..." Akuro mumbles. "You're the only family I've got."

"... I know Akuro. I'll be safe, I promise."

With that, Akuro joins Akemi's turrets in slowing down the demon with firepower, while Raiden makes his move to climb the nearest building and get atop the electric pole, climbing up to the wire. "Okay..." he mutters to himself as he pulls a serrated knife from his back pocket. "Just... swing on the wire, hit the demon with it... can't be too hard. You... you'll be like a pirate. Just... pretend you're Nanami..."

As Raiden talks himself into performing the stunt, the demon begins to reach Akuro and Akemi.

"Raaaaaaiden!" Akemi calls up. "It ate one of my turrets!"

"No..." Raiden mutters. "You can't hurt them... here goes..."

Raiden cuts the wire and swings down, using his weight to shift the momentum of the swing so that the end of the frayed and sparking wire hits the demon full on. The rush of the electricity current seems to cause the demon's flesh to jiggle and liquify, before completely bursting, leaving only the blade that was embedded in the creature gooey head.

Akuro snaps the blade in two, and it dissipates.

"Huh... you actually did something for a change..." Akuro mutters.

"Yeah, I did..." Raiden smiles.

"That's right, you did it!" Akemi exclaims. "And now, for a victory baked potato!"

"How are you still eating that?"

"This is a new one!"

"HOW?!"

Nariko tries to drown out the sounds of the screams. She doesn't want to get panicked herself and fly into a rage... no, she has to remain calm, remember the breathing exercises that Sora taught her. Sora... is he still alive? Nariko has no idea what happened... she can't get in touch with any of her friends, and her parents are hiding within their home shivering in fear. Her little sister catsitting in this dire moment, Nariko thinks to what she would do if any of them were to get hurt... but then she tries not to focus on such thoughts.

Nariko hears yelling about a demon... not good news. It's not exactly something she could take on by herself... not while calm, at least. Nariko pauses, pondering what the hell she's going to do...

Nariko decides that if she can't fight the demon by herself, the less she can do is try to get some more people to safety. Nariko leaps from rooftop to rooftop, searching below her and looking out for anyone in need. Most of the people seem to be smart enough to have retreated indoors, but there are a few stragglers who she helps along. While assisting an old lady into her home, Nariko hears the sounds of some clanging trashcans in the nearby alley.

"Hello?" She asks, as she looks into the darkness of the alley. "Come on out!"

Nariko has to duck to avoid the hail of bullets that fire out from the alley.

"STAY BACK, YOU FREAK!" Sae's voice screams as she steps out of the alley, her eyes widening as she sees Nariko before her. "Oh... crap, it's you. I thought you were a demon... still don't take back my freak statement."

"Why did you fire without thinking?" Nariko exclaims.

Sae takes a quick step back, raising her arms in fear of Nariko. "I-I didn't know, s-sorry. Don't hurt me..."

"I'm not going to hurt you..." Nariko mumbles in shame. "But I need your help. There's a demon around here, somewhere... I need back-up if I'm going to fight it."

"You need my help?" Sae scoffs. "You think either of us can take that thing on?"

"No..." Nariko replies. "Maybe we should focus on keeping the people safe and hope for back-up to arrive? What do you think?"

"Okay, kill a demon by ourselves..." Sae mutters. "Can't be too hard, right? You've got that big angry power-up thing to help!"

"I... I don't want to use that," Nariko mutters.

"Why not?"

"You know why," Nariko replies. "I... I have to avoid getting angry."

"You can't hold in anger!" Sae exclaims. "It's unhealthy! Sometimes you just gotta can angry at something! Look at me! I'm angry at everything! I punched my breakfast this morning because it had raisins!"

"But I'm different!" Nariko explains. "When I get angry, I... hurt people... people I care about. I scare people... I kill people..."

"Wait a minute... you're her, aren't you?"

"Huh?"

"When I was a kid, there was a lot of rumours about this blue-haired kid, a kid who loves cats, and she took this rock and-"

"Stop," Nariko mutters. "That was me, but... just don't bring it up."

"Okay..." Sae replies, afraid of upsetting the girl. "Let's just take care of this demon."

The two girls arrive in the centre of town, where some of the empty store buildings are being smashed up by a large red demon with four arm, wielding a large and heavy club.

"Wow... that's big..." Sae mutters.

"Yeah..." Nariko adds. "I don't suppose you have any... anti-giant demon rounds in those guns of yours."

"What's the plan?" Sae asks. "You gonna try and... you know... power-up?"

Nariko charges forward, readying her knives as Sae aims her machine guns. "Try not to get hit!" Sae yells. "My aim isn't the best!"

"No problem!" Nariko yells. "Just keep the covering fire!"

Sae unloads on the demon as Nariko brandishes her daggers and begins bouncing around the demon, slicing where she can, but not at any point making any clear cut on the demon.

Sae's bullets pierce into the demon's skin as it reaches for Nariko. She dodges out of the way as the lower arms of the demon, but doesn't avoid the upper arms, which grab her by the legs and toss her across the street, crashing into a market stall.

"Hey, you okay?" Sae asks.

A low groan comes out from under the market stall as the demon begins to approach.

"Crapbaskets..." Sae mutters, looking at the demon, he bullet wounds clearly having hurt it, then at Nariko.

"Hold on!" Sae yells, as she unloads on the demon. "Die already, you big dumb freak!"

Sae's bullets do a good job of piercing the demon as she lets loose with everything she has, tearing it apart... even manages to blow one of the demon's arms off.

"Ha! Got you!" Sae yells triumphantly, pumping her fist as the demon staggers back. As it does, Nariko picks herself up out of the rubble of the market stall.

"Ow..." Nariko mumbles, before looking up to see the demon holding it's club directly above her. It begins to swing down, until it is hit with another barrage from a freshly reloaded Sae.

"Stay away from her, you piece of crap!" Sae screams as she continues with her rampage on the creature, causing it to stagger back more and more.
