New players are always welcome!

In this quest you assume the role of an aspiring student who is about to enter the Mageknight Academy of Amsterdam. You must hone your skills, make some friends (and perhaps also some enemies) and fight battles in order to prove yourself worthy of graduating as a fully fledged Mageknight! Each year (every 100th turn) your character will be tested by the academy to see if your character is progressing well and meeting the Academy's high standards. After the 3rd year your character will head off into a their first mission for a final test.

How to Join:
New players must fill out their character sheets. The sheet must include the following information:
>Anyone can join at any time. Latecomers and laggers are given bonus action points to catch up with the other players.
1) Your character's full name
2) Your character's backstory, appearance and any other useful information.
3) You are given 3 Skill Points. Choose 1 starting spell and 2 other skills or spells.

How to Play:
1) Each turn you will be given 2 [Action Points]. Post your character sheet and your chosen actions along with a 2d100 roll.
>Normally your roll must pass the [Difficulty Challenge] of 25 in order to succeed.
>Getting a 10 and below is a [Critical Failure] while 91 and above is a [Critical Success]
2) All players must wait for the "TURN GO" post before submitting any actions posts. After which you must post your actions only to that post.
3) After all actions are processed and a new turn begins, update your character sheet.

Acquiring and Improving Spells & Skills:
1) Study, research, explore, train or take classes to discover and learn new spells.
2) Training an already learned spell or skill will raise it further to the next tier once enough [Progress Points] are accumulated.
4) The progress threshold is based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,2,3,5,8,...)
>Usually Spell and Skill tiers are named as Basic => Intermediate => Advanced => Expert => Master
>Alternatively you can label the tiers as T1, T2, T3 and so on.

Spellcrafting:
Spellcrafting involves fusing spells with various skills, knowledge and even other spells that your character has learned together creating a new spell or skill.
>The name of the resulting new spell will be determined by the QM. By default it will be "Cast A B C..."
>Your dice roll will affect the result of the spellcrafting. Lower rolls will result in weaker or negative version of the intended spell and vice versa.

Social Interactions:
1) Role playing with other players is a free action. Role playing with NPCs, however, will cost an action point to do so.
2) Collaborative Player-to-Player actions like trading, tutoring and PvP, will cost an action point to do so.

Combat:
1) Post 2 actions like you normally would. Your opponent will roll their own 2 actions.
2) To defeat your opponent, you must overcome their defensive or evasion roll and vice versa
>If you have not rolled an evasion or defensive roll then your opponent must pass normal DC to hit you and vice versa.
>If both combatants attacked successfully then it's a Double KO.
>If both combatants defended successfully then it's a Stalemate.

To all students of MkA Amsterdam, There has been a presence around the area. A being marked as the ‘Bloody Angel’ has been spotted to be hunting down evil creatures. Exams are over. The Faculty would like to congratulate the passing and graduating students on their hard work and performance, and looks forward to even greater thing from them in the future. For those who failed, they’ll have one more chance to pass in a few weeks [Turn 105] with makeup exams. The Faculty strongly urges those who didn’t pass to take this time and study.

There are other notable people like a man who carries a large hammer that can be split into 2 guns. It was a weird weapon but you had to forget about that and go back to practicing and learning from the professor.

You continue your swordsmanship training. Practicing more advanced moves, you work on feints and ripostes. Well, you practice those as well as you can using only imaginary opponents. The cold of winter is barely felt as you stay warm through the exertion of training. Hours of training go by in a blink of the eye, and it isn’t until you can barely hold your weapon anymore that you realize just how long you’ve been at it. Wiping the sweat from your face, you sheathe your sword and call it a day.

The next day, after that intense training, you pick up the pace again. You’re still exhausted from yesterday, and you’re having trouble keeping a grip on your weapon as your body hasn’t recovered from the workout you did, but you push on. Each swing is exponentially tougher than the last as you push your body well beyond it’s limits. It reaches it’s zenith when making a horizontal swing, your arm just can’t take it anymore, and your grip loosens, causing the blade to fly out of your hand. “WHO THE HELL THREW THAT!?” Oh, that doesn’t sound very good. You turn in the direction your sword flew off, and consequently the direction of the now very angry voice. Coming your way is a pale woman who looks ready to set your ass on fire. Literally. You see fire burning in her hands, and on your sword, as she comes stomping towards you. “HEY YOU, NUMBNUTS! THIS FUCKING SWORD BELONG TO YOU?!” Without thinking, you nod, and in that same instant you hit the deck as she hurls your burning sword at you. “WELL HERE YOU FUCKING ARE, YOU CAN HAVE THIS PIECE OF SHIT BACK, ASSHOLE! SERIOUSLY, WHO THE FUCK JUST THROWS SWORDS AROUND?! WHAT ARE YOU, INSANE?! RETARDED?! IF YOU CAN’T HANDLE YOUR DAMN SWORD, MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO BACK TO JERKING OFF TILL YOUR GRIP IMPROVES! ARGH!” You’re no expert, but you’re pretty sure she’s mad. “YOU EVER DO RETARDED SHIT LIKE THIS AROUND ME AGAIN, AND I’LL LIGHT A FIRE UNDER YOUR ASS,” to emphasize she lights a fire behind you, “GOT IT, DIPSHIT?! The one you’re looking at right now standing outside the cafe, while trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. It’s not stalking, your form of love is just a bit more intense than others’. So far it seems she hasn’t noticed you, good. It’d be pretty silly if she got the wrong idea and called the cops. During your inner monologue, it seems she’s started heading in. Nice, time to see what games she likes. You follow in behind her at a healthy distance. Not too close to draw notice, but not too far for her to get away. With that luxurious red hair, she’d be hard to miss. Aha, there she is. She takes a seat with some other guys playing something. You can’t tell from here, but you can’t get any closer, otherwise she might notice you. Either way, it doesn’t seem like she’s playing, just sitting there, and eating snacks and drinking tea at the guys’ expense. They all laugh whenever she says anything mildly funny. At least you think so. Curses, you wish you could hear better. Nothing really happens for a few hours before she starts to part company with the guys playing whatever it is they’re playing. They seem unhappy about that, and who could blame them? But they don’t deserve her. She’s yours, and yours alone…

You have to save the sinners from their sins, and the only way to cleanse sinners is with death. You start making your way around the patient, ‘helping’ them with their problems. Namely, the problem with living. But before you can really get started, “What do you think you’re doing?!” Doctor Gunther rushes to you, and brings you to the ground, as Nurse Olivia goes from patient to patient, looking for anything wrong. You try getting out of his grasp and telling him of your mission, but he isn’t having any of either. After about 15 minutes or so, when Nurse Olivia is done looking over the patients, she comes over to you and injects something. Considering you feel yourself losing consciousness, you’re gonna go out on a limb and say it tranq or anesthetic. You come to some unknown amount of time later, strapped heavily to a bed. Even if you had the magical knowledge, you can tell you couldn’t get out even with magic, as the bindings seem to be enchanted to prevent just that. You hear footsteps approach, as the doctor and Olivia enter your field of view. “We need to have a long talk about what just happened.”

It’s seems in addition to the different categories of spirits, there’s also different ‘levels’, Basic designations are Lesser, Greater, Grand, and Ancient, which are assigned depending on the Spirit’s age and power. There are also other classifications, but they’re mostly case by case designations. That’s an interesting bit to learn.

The Bloody Angel is starting to run low on nonhuman targets, and soon she’ll turn to human ones. As it stands, you’ll still be bed ridden when that time comes, and that’s not acceptable. Picking yourself off the bed, you head to the infirmary to get yourself looked at. Maybe they can speed up your recovery? You hope so. When you get in there, it seems a bit chaotic. You see Olivia and the doctor just now sitting down, looking a bit worse for wear. They ask what do you want, and you tell them you’re looking for some fixing up. The doctor let’s out a groan, but it’s Olivia who gets up and offers you a bed. She looks you over, does some tests, and looks over your medical history. She heads into the medicine cabinet, and comes back with a few things. She applies an ointment, which should help heal your wounds quicker, a pill that should help restore your Mana, and some disgusting syrupy stuff that should fix up any interior damage. When asked why you couldn’t get this stuff sooner, she tells you it’s too strong for freshly injured patients, as they could actually do more harm than good on someone fresh out of recovery. You don’t know medicine too well, so you’ll just take her word for it. Olivia talks to the doc about something before coming back over, and running a few more tests. She says since you’re looking better, the doctor has removed the orders forcing you to keep resting. Feeling better already, you thank her and the doctor and hop off the bed, and go back about your business.

This is the only time I'm posting the complete backstory.

I was born in Tijuana, Mexico. Currently I am traveling with my mother. I consider myself an average girl, but skillful in dancing.

My father is a Mexican Inn owner and expert in hand to hand combat and my mother is a Japanese acrobatic dancer and gymnast. I trained with both of my parents and I always try to help them in the Inn. My father used to say that I moved silently like a cat at the Inn corridors.

Three years ago, after an hostile takeover of the country, my family was notified that we should abandon the country. They decided to ignore the warning but after the mysterious dissapearence of my father, my mother decided to flee to Europe.

On the way to Portugal, my mother revealed to me the reason they warned my family. The new government is part of an antiMagic group trying to eradicate the magic in Mexico. And that my Father was the last living member of a rare line of water healers magicians. But she doesn't know if I inherited it.

You walk into the Principal’s office, and find that Katherine is diligently doing several stacks of paperwork. In a blink of an eye, a piece of paper is signed, stamped, and place on the ‘Out’ pile. You briefly wonder how much Time Magic she’s using to do all these things. Looking around, you notice there are several more stacks of paperwork that has been completed. She’s been doing this for hours, and probably even more so, considering that she is speeding herself up to do so. You see that Katherine looks exhausted, haggard, and most of all, bored. She hasn’t even noticed you at the doorway. You knock twice on the open door to get her attention, and she looks up at you. “Gram. Give me a moment.” In that very instant, all of the paperwork magically found its way to the multiple ‘Out’ piles. She looks even more tired, and gives a deep sigh. “Apologies. I have been working for…” she pauses, calculating the time in her head, “...roughly sixteen hours”. Sixteen hours?! It’s 8 o’clock in the morning! People have only just started working. Looks like she has a lot more time to get everything sorted. You ask her if she would to train with you. “I could use a break. Let’s go.” she weakly smiles. You prepare to walk out the door, but she stops you. “Let’s go somewhere different this time” and with those words, she opens a portal behind her, and steps into it. You take a deep breath before following her in.

After a moment of blackness, you find yourself staring at an immense complex. This huge building stands in the center of a field of corporeal nothingness. Katherine is beside you. “Do you like it? It’s not quite a demiplane, but this pocket dimension of mine has many facilities.” Not waiting for a response, she walks through the doors, and you follow suit. This place is huge. There’s a running field, a swimming pool, and even what seems to be an arena. You both head over to the track, and start running. Soon enough, you feel tired. A lot more tired than you usually do. When you ask Katherine, she explains. “The gravity here is higher than the one on Earth. Perfect for training. You both continue running, taking frequent breaks. After practicing for what seems like hours, Katherine breaks the monotony of correcting your form or stance with an actual challenge.

“I think that’s a good enough warm-up. Care for a spar?” she asks.

Naturally, you accept. You’re led to the arena and take your respective positions on the field. You and Katherine exchange a bow, before rushing at each other. At every conceivable instance, she keeps you guessing. You can’t meet her offensive with your own, so you switch to a defensive stance, peppering her with blasts of dark magic. She counters, of course, by teleporting to the side, but you can’t tell if that was Time magic stopping time, or Spatial magic changing her position. Katherine eventually closes the distance and engages you in melee again. You put up a valiant effort, but she manages to slice your sword arm, and with a twist of her blade, you find your weapon skittering across the floor. “You’re improving.” Katherine remarks as she leads you to a bench. After she gives you a sermon about things you could have done better in the fight, you ask her if anything is wrong. “I’m tired, Gram.” she says wearily “I have far too much work to do, and all the Time Magic in the world can’t make it any easier.” You remember all the paperwork she had to do and nod. “Make no mistake, I love my job as much as I love my students, but it is… exhausting.” She slumps into the bench’s backrest, letting loose a long sigh. You decide to ask her why she chose you, which elicits a laugh from her. It’s surprisingly giddy for someone of her stature. “You’re bold. Driven. Determined. I admire that.” she explains. You’re at a loss for words. This is an interesting development. “I want you to get stronger.” Her voice is much more solemn now, “For everyone’s sake.” Katherine has this distant stare, as if she’s reminiscing something. She takes your hand and presses something into it. When you look at what she’s given you, you see a purple shard of some sort, attached to a link of chain.

“That’s a key to this pocket dimension. Please keep training.” she says. Katherine pauses for a moment. “I should get back to work. Until then, Gram.” She leans in and plants a quick kiss on your cheek. You’re left stunned as she walks past you. That was… surprisingly forward of her.

But with the recent accident, people start to complain and you were asked by some of the guards to practice somewhere else. We got lost a few times but we managed somehow. You’re sister is here with me. She’s still taking a shower and I’m sorry your father couldn’t come. He had errands to do relating to the clan but I’m kind of relieved you father didn’t come, He’d be furious over the small things. Oh Uhuhuh,I think I’m talking too much.” She then asked about you and you tell her what you have to tell her and you mention that you want to introduce Helia to them. Your mother then gets excited. “I’d love to! My boy finally has a girlfriend, how you grow so fast.” as a picture of her holding her cheek comes to mind. You both arrange a meet up in a cafe close by to her hotel for dinner, she says she’s been eating here often. After knowing the details, You tell Helia and she says “I’m ready for this!” with a determined cute face.

Soon the day comes for you and Helia to meet the family…

You meet with Helia in the school and she’s using nice winter clothes with a nice white scarf. There is still some light snow around the city and having dinner seems like a great idea with all the lights in the city, She doesn’t seem nervous all things considered. She was ready for this. Lets just hope you are too. You both talk about past experiences about your parents. What you say tell her depends on you while she tells you about her father. “My father is pretty strict but he has a good heart.” she also tells you that father is doesn’t has a strong hatred for people abusing power and people. “He really hates those certain people. He even goes out of his way to put them down. I think that would be his only flaw.”She goes on to tell you more about her family but you soon arrive in the cafe and see your mother sitting down drinking an iced coffee with cream on top you can also see your sister drinking a more creamier drink and once she sees you, she calls you out really loudly. “Aaaiiinnee~! Over here!” she shouts as she flails her hand to signal you. You all sit down and Helia shakes hands with your mother and sister. “It’s nice to meet you finally. I’ve heard so many things about you.” Mother says in her gentle voice. “I never knew you had a girlfriend and she looks pretty too!” you sister says and as she does, Helia blushes. The topic changes and they ask about Helia’s family and where she’s from. She tells them about her father and things you would already know. All in all it went well there were times where your sister was too direct about things but they look like enjoy talking. At one point you spot her looking at you and you can just feel her looking at your proudly. Your sister seems to get along too. Helia and her talk about things you don’t really know at times but you notice them giggle. Are they talking about you? You’re not really sure. Your Mother then tells you that They will be here for awhile and they’ve seen the announcement about some tournament. She encourages you to go and make the family proud. “And since it's a month away, Father might be here by then. You can come visit them anytime. I still have to meet some old friends.” With morea laughs, stories and embarrassing moments, the night soon passes.

The night soon ends and you think it went well.. You can feel they connected but you have this weird feeling that it isn’t enough. They might have this anxious feeling about you having a girlfriend. You walk Helia home and she really likes your family. “I think I really connected with your sister. She knew about some weird things... Your mother seems really sweet too.” You see her genuinely smile about this. She looks up in the stars wondering “I said before my dad will be coming here during the tournament. I hope our parents get along.”

You just saw her, and the spell caught you off-guard. She isn’t aware of it. But, listen to me. No one must know. It would ruin her reputation, you know how people feel about charm magic when it’s used like that. She’s a nice girl, you know ? Even without the spell. She deserves to be happy.” The young man sighs, looking saddened. “I think you know everything. Best of luck, man.” He then leaves without a word. You feel puzzled by the things you learned. You still feel attracted to Sam but now, there’s a doubt, deep in your heart. Could it be only the influence of magic ? Or is there genuine feelings in there ?

You visit the library, and start to work on binding spells. You feel responsible for the Bloody Angel, it’s only fair that you look for a solution. You grab summoning textbooks. Binding spells are a subclass of spells used to force entities to serve the summoner. They can also be used on most unbound creatures, some forbidden spells are even said to work on humans, creating thralls. You pick up the basics first. A bound creature is unable to hurt the person it’s bound to, but will still be able to act on its own accord if it’s strong enough, and even attempt to break free. Creating a permanent binding effect takes time and hard work, but once it’s done, the bound creature is forced to obey the summoner’s every command.

You then go ask the librarian if she could teach you a spell able to bind a spirit like the Bloody Angel. She gives you a worried look, but starts looking more confident after gazing at you. “I know what you want to do, and if it was anyone else, I’d be against it. But I trust you. I think you will solve this situation. Just be careful.” You spend the rest of the afternoon working on a binding spell with Ginny’s help. She then gives you some additional pointers on the nature of the Bloody Angel. You feel like this will help you when the time comes.

Gunther and Olivia exchange looks. It seems they believe you, for the most part. "It looks like the Angel did get to you." Olivia says after focusing for a moment. Gunther looks unconvinced, but a quick look at Olivia confirms that at least one of them is on your side. The doctor sighs deeply and opens his mouth to speak. "Olivia is better at detecting these kind of things than I am, so you'll have to forgive me." He says in a low tone. He walks over to a nearby cabinet, and retrieves a talisman of some sort. The doctor passes it to Olivia, who says a quick incantation, before placing it around your neck. You can feel a burning sensation as you mind struggles to be resist. After what seems like an eternity, the searing pain was reduced to a soothing feeling. “Keep that on. It should mitigate the effects of the Angel, for now.” Gunther says as he undoes your restraints.

In the end, they do take your key and clinic ID away from you. Gunther tells you to take a break and return once you’re better. Olivia reassures you that they’ll be fine for now, and that if they really need you, they’ll call on you. As you stand outside the clinic, wondering what to do next, you’re greeted by a tackle-hug. You hit the ground, and when you look up, you realize Remi is on top of you. “I was so worried!” he cries. “They wouldn’t let me in! Are you okay?!” He presses this line of questioning for a while, evidently worried about your health. Once you assure him you’re fine, he tells you that you need to rest. You both walk to your dorm, but when you arrive there, Remi speaks up. “I-if you want, you can stay at my house. If you like to, I mean…” he blushes, his face a mix of worry and embarrassment.

The assembled group begins leaving after Gram’s terrible attempt, and that’s putting it nicely, at a speech. You try salvaging the situation, but you find yourself a bit tongue tied as you can’t seem to think of anyone to undo the damage Gram’s done. Despite your best efforts, the crowd pays you little attention and leaves.

You head out to the gun range. It’s really noisy, but it’s a gun range, what do you expect? Finding an open spot, you apply your earmuffs and eye protection (range rules: Protection is MANDATORY!). You draw both guns, and begin firing down range. It’s a bit more difficult trying to fire two guns at the same time, as the constant recoil is throwing off your aim. It takes some time, but you do manage to compensate, a little, for the extra recoil. When you pull back your target sheet, you see you did pretty well with roughly half your shots actually hitting it, and at least a couple finding their marks in the center. If anyone asks, you’ll tell them those two shots we’re all skill.

You go to the smith and make some earrings. You bend some metal, head and curve it accordingly. With more adjustments, you put another metal rod and curve it accordingly. It's a simple but cool design. You put it in water and heat it again to fix out the texture. As the final touch, you smoothen it out abit more removing any left out roughness and it looks pretty good.
A fellow smith you see around sometimes nods his head. He is quite impressed with how you did it. It took awhile but it was a satisfactory outcome.

The good company doesn’t hurt any, either. Dinner ends, and before long it’s time for bed. Even though you already had a long nap, you could definitely use the extra rest. You get under the covers, and almost as soon as your head hits the pillow, you’re out like a light. When you wake, you feel full of vim and vigor, ready to take on the world.

When you ask why, he tells you that while the Angel is bound to your soul, she still follows the laws of familiars and other such creatures. Thus, she can be temporarily dismissed into any of these three objects, if you wish. Gabriel then tells you that if the object breaks, you will need to find a new one to seal her into. She will still remain under your command, but having an elemental follow you around or stay at home might not appeal to everyone. This way, she can stay hidden and alongside you when you need her.

Classes done, you decide to further your study of Abjuration yourself. Currently, you’re reading on the topic of the dissolution of spells and magic, more commonly referred to as Dispel Magic. A very important branch of the Abjuration School, Dispel has many uses. For starters, it can cancel offensive spells, break barriers, cancel curses and debuffs, and even hurt magical beings. Of course, the caster’s strength with Dispel has to be equal to the strength of the spell they’re trying to break, but Dispel can be repeatedly cast to whittle down a spell, if enough time is given. Practicing the spell yourself, you either fumble the words or the somatic component, maybe both, as you feel something odd. Like all the magic around you just vanished. You try casting a simple spell. You can feel the mana gathering, but as soon as you actually cast the spell, it’s as if the magic is snuffed out. You try repeatedly, but the result is the same no matter what kind of spell you try. You eventually give up and ask a teacher for help. It doesn’t take long to find one, and he quickly tells you your problem: you have an aura of null magic around you. Basically, a small area around you snuffs out any magic that enters it, including you own. Luckily it won’t hurt you at all, since you don’t have any magic keeping you alive, but for practical reasons you won’t be allowed in certain areas of the school till the aura dissipates, which he thinks should be about a week, give or take.

You continue furthering you self study of Abjuration. The book you’re looking over goes on about a very important part of Summoning: Banishment. This bit of knowledge is important, as it helps get rid of dangerous summons quickly in the event of a mishap, such as summoning the wrong thing, or your wards and bindings failing. With this spell, you can send the summoned creature back to its home plane. An additional bit of knowledge, if in another plane yourself, you can Banish yourself back home. Keep in mind the spell isn’t a nice one, and while it won’t kill you, you’ll feel like someone ran you over after a week of binge drinking when you come to on the other side.

This is Harold,” she motions towards the young man. “We bumped into each other… well, I bumped into him, on my way to class. He was really nice about it, most people get angry when I accidentally knock them down.” She says it like it’s a regular event, and with what little you’ve learned of her so far, it probably is. “He helped me up and asked if I was okay. He was really sweet.” At this point, Harold steps in, “It wasn’t that big of a deal. It was the polite thing to do, and it’s not like I was hurt or that she did it on purpose, so there wasn’t any reason to get angry.” He seems like a nice guy, at least. But you do notice she’s barely paying any attention to you, as most of her attention is on Harold. It kind of makes you feel like a third wheel as they keep talking to one another, only occasionally remembering you’re there. Lunch starts winding down, and before Harold leaves, they both promise to see each other more. “Isn’t he nice? I sure hope we get to see him more.” She says that like you were a part of the conversation. You get the feeling when Harold’s around, you won’t get much time with Stephanie.

You continue to stay in Remi’s house. You ask for a tour around the house and Remi is enthusiastic about it. He jumps around in his sweater(which looks too large for him). He shows you around. “This is the bedrooms. My parents aren't usually here. They spend time working in the company.” As you walk further through the hallways, you see pictures of his family. Some are really old and some don’t look like Remi at all. Some are not cute enough or some are too cranky-looking. Most are pained and pictured in suits and old traditional dutch clothes. “This is the Bathing rooms” he points to a large room. When you peak inside you can see some water sprinklers and waterfall designs. You could also see another room which asys ‘Spa Area’. He continues on as you follow and you can’t help think that this place looks so much huger in the inside. He continues to show you the kitchen where you see some chefs already cooking. There are other places that he continues to show and when you seen opening you ask about the phone call he got that other time. “I-it was nothing. It was just my parents calling to see how I was.” You couldn't tell at first but you’re sure he stuttered there. You ask if that’s all but he is insistent it was nothing bad. Soon it was time to sleep. You both take an awkward relaxing bath as he washes your back and you do the same. It was quiet. Looks like he doesn’t want to talk about that call. You both eat a pretty grand dinner with only both of you in his game room. You start talking and he excitedly shows you all of his games. Mostly action and fighting games. There are some racing games and you both enjoy and laugh as you trade wins. You both relax sharing a bed and soon the night falls.

You wake up in the middle of the night to hear a weak weeping. You look over to Remi and he’s faced back. You look closer and you see him in tears as he covers his face. You ask him what’s wrong and as soon as he knows you’re awake, he goes into a sitting position and wipes his face of of tears. “E-everything’s f-fine.” You can tell he’s been crying for awhile now. You do your best to comfort him in anyway and somewhere along the line he just leans on you and sobs. “My parents want me to get married to this woman.” He continues to cry on your chest. “She’s from some rich company and they want us to get married for a merger.” He tells you everything about his family being in an owner of a rich company and how they don’t approve of him going to a magic school. The best that they can do is get him married to someone proper. You continue to comfort him and after he calms down, you both lay in the bed in thought.

Still though, it made sense from a rich Dutch family’s perspective. Their heir had run off to magical school instead of taking over the family business, if they were going to salvage anything out of that mess, a prestigious marriage was probably the way to go. So it was very unlikely they were going to enjoy the fact their son just spent his evening face down begging to have his boi… he was getting off track.

“What to do..” He said with a sigh turning away from the sleeping Remi to look over the expansive grounds. Remi had only just mentioned the woman he was too marry, so he didn’t have much to go on besides that. If it was a marriage of convenience for her too, maybe they could work out less of a marriage and more of a live-in beard arrangement. If the woman actually did want to marry him for love, well then that would be complicated. She might have had some romanticized version of Remi in her head..and that wasn’t the man she was going to get. At least not out of Remi. Maybe it was the constant rhythmic pulsing of the burning blood in him that had brought on the thoughts. But now he was unable to shake them, the marriage could go through, the parents could have their merger. Remi could still be with him without his parents breathing down his neck and either way the woman wanted to have her relationship with Remi it could be at their advantage. Making a mental note he crawled back into bed with his boyfriend and pulled them close to his body. In the morning he was going to have Remi set up a meeting, and Markus was going to seduce his boyfriend’s fiance.

The Angel flits about, hovering some feet away from you. You quickly realize that this will be somewhat awkward if you don’t know her name, so you ask her what she should call you. She gives you a blank stare before speaking. “I have no name, Conspirator.” You think about it and decide to give her a name later. You then decide to ask her why she calls you ‘Conspirator’. “You aided the Progenitor in my ambush, thus, you are his Conspirator.” The Angel says in “matter-of-fact” tone. You make a mental note to rectify that later. You then ask her what she thought of the battle you had against her. The Bloody Angel pauses, then speaks “It was dishonorable. I was outnumbered and ambushed.” She then continues, a slight tinge of red on her face. “It was also humiliating. If I am ever released from my oath, I will make you pay.” The Angel states. Interesting, it seems she still is angry about how that battle went. Still, at least talking to her about it might’ve helped, even if it’s just a little bit.

The humiliation you’ve suffered at the hands of these vandals needs to be paid back in full. You begin returning to their last known location and… oh, they’re here. That was easier than you thought. Four vandals stand there, flashing smug smiles and taunting jeers. “Look who’s back. Is the lady going to tell us off?” The ringleader asks. “No. I am simply here to make sure none of you are maimed too badly.” The Bloody Angel replies. With that, you unclasp your sword and get to work. Looks like they only really got lucky with that sneak attack, because man, these guys fall like wheat from the chaff. You make nonlethal attacks on them, and the Angel gives you advice on where to strike so that it would hurt the most whilst still keeping them safe from permanent damage. Of course she’d know how that worked. You briefly wondered what would happen if you had lost the fight against her. A slow and painful death, perhaps? You push the thoughts out of your mind as you ‘clean up’. By the end of it, all four are on the ground, broken and bloody from your assault. The Angel watches on. “You’ve brought punishment to these sinners. Perhaps you’ve shown them too much mercy, but I cannot argue with your results.” Is she… approving?

After learning that they are meeting up for lunch, you take this chance and join them. You both are to come to a fancy restaurant and with this obviously comes proper attire. You and Remi go in semi formal clothing either having a collar or a formal jacket on top(your choice to what you wear.) Remi wears a regular white polo shirt. During the car ride, you notice Remi looks nervous. You can see him looking in the down and sometimes hear him sighing. You go to comfort him(or not.) but the car stops. You both get down and he stays behind you as you enter the restaurant. Is he scared of this girl? Well now is the time to find out. As the waiter in the desk recognizes Remi, you both are led to the deluxe area upstairs. You can see a few people and finally the table with her in it. “Oh Remi-dear, you brought a friend! You should have told me” she says putting her hands together and tilting her head. She does it in a way that gives a acted-out vibe with her innocent face but yet cheerful voice. “I was gonna meet him anyway. So now would be as good a time as any.” As you both takes your seats, she introduces herself. “I’m Madelaine but you can call me Maddy.” as she puts her arm forward for you to shake. A firm handshake for a girl. Upon sitting down, you notice she has an older woman of some sort standing beside her. The food gets served and the conversation starts. “So you are from Mageknight Academy too? I don’t know much about the place but I prefer to stay with my private magic professor.” The conversation goes on and you learn more about this girl. She’s the daughter of a CEO in the Patwrite Company that will have a merger within the next 10 years with Remi’s family company Dark Water Engineering. The marriage will assure nothing will go wrong within the next 10 years and the bonds between the two will strengthen. You try to flirt around, but you see the female guard person looking at you whenever you throw something that looked like flirting to her. Madelaine though, just continues to talk about what could happen and you can tell Remi is forcing a smile. “Right Remi-dear? We will be married and make children fit to run our companies!” You look to Remi and see that he looks a bit frozen. The thought of that always put him that way. You go to change the topic and invite her to dinner and theatre. Maybe in somewhere less fancy and in that open-theatre in the park. There comes a pause in the air, as she looks at you in shock for a second. She didn’t expect you to ask for such a thing.”Uhh...” After that second, she goes into her normal self “Oh! I’d love to. I haven't went sightseeing yet.” Remi looks up to you and he is genuinely smiling. The idea of somewhat of a date with you is all that's needed to cheer him up.

After lunch, the three of you plus Madelaine’s bodyguard go out for dinner and a show. Madelaine seems a bit taken aback by the idea, but she doesn’t refuse. Her bodyguard, however, does voice her concerns for the idea. “There is no reason for M’lady to go with you. Such frivolity is wasteful, and…” Madelaine lays a hand on her shoulder, quieting her bodyguard. “That’s enough Catiyana.” Catiyana, you assume is the bodyguard's name, turns towards her mistress, head bowing. “I am sorry M’lady if I overstepped my station.” Madelaine steps past her and next to Remi, “It’s fine Catiyana.” Her attention turns to you, “I assume since this is your idea, you’ll be paying for the group?” It’s safe to say she doesn’t like your plan, and that she didn’t voice her grievances to maintain face. But she’s still going to make you pay, literally. Not able to back down without looking bad, you accept. Dinner isn’t quite as cheap as you’d like, as Madelaine orders the most expensive items on the menu, and suggests Catiyana do the same since the ‘gracious host’ is being so generous. Afterwards is a trip to the theater. Only the best seats, right? You sit right of Remi, with Madelaine on his left and Catiyana to her left.. If either of them care for the play, they don’t show it. Remi constantly steals glances your way whenever he thinks Madelaine isn’t looking. What should have been a fun night was a somber and somewhat stressful evening. Catiyana is ever the watchful guard, and Madelaine her Ice Queen. She and Remi barely interacted at all, and when they did it seemed more of a matter of appearance and formality than any real feeling of affection. But when looking to Madeleine, she seems somewhat different from what she was when in the restaurant. Is it her smile? It looks more genuine than usual but being a seat apart, you aren’t exactly sure.

A little suspicious of Harold, you decide the proper course of action is to stalk him. With your Boots of Move Quietly, you trail behind him. Not like you should be studying or anything important like that. His day starts off pretty plain. You catch him early in the morning on his way to Earth Magic class. You follow him in, and just watch him. Sadly because of your focus on Harold, you don’t learn anything from the class. Oh well. Priorities. He probably wants to learn how to bury people alive with earth magic. How dastardly! After Earth Magic class, he heads towards the training yards. It’s a little hard to keep up with him in the crowded halls, since at his height he’s shorter than even most of the girls, so he disappears easily. He probably used some spell to make himself so small so he could hide easily, the fiend. Once at the training yard, he practices his earth magic.He is quite skilled with bending the earth to his will, probably practice to bending people. At the end of his ‘practice’, he grows a thirty foot statue of himself, with its right arm raised and palm turned up, he stands atop of it, looking down at everything. And everyone. Obviously he’s monologuing his evil victory speech after he conquers the world. What a tyrant! After that he goes to take a shower. You can’t follow him there. You aren’t that good. He comes out after an hour. What man takes an hour long shower? He must have been doing something else in there. Too bad you weren’t in there to find out. Next is lunch. You get ahead of him and sit with Stephanie, so as to not draw suspicion to yourself. He’ll never know you’re on to him. It’s only about 5-10 minutes after you sit down that Harold shows up. “Hey you two.” He says as he takes a seat next to Stephanie. He’s shown a lot of interest in her in a short time. He must be planning to corrupt her into his evil queen! Or worse, make her a concubine! Truly a monster a walks among you. You miss most of what they say to each other, till you hear Harold speak to you. “By the way Dania, I didn’t know you were interested in Earth magic. It’s nice to see a familiar face in the class, and even better to have an audience to show off my amazing earth bending magic to. If you want, I can teach you a thing or two. Not to toot my own horn, but I am pretty good with earth magic” He says with exaggerated gusto, which Stephanie finds funny as she giggles at his antics. “Though I’m not really sure why you were hanging around the showers for so long. Are you stalking a guy you like?” He waggles his eyebrows as he says the last part.

Dragons are notoriously isolationist, and not exactly free in giving out information about themselves, so the amount of available knowledge regarding dragons is few and far between. And even with what little is known, many argue the accuracy of the details, so finding a ‘Dragon Expert’ isn’t an easy task. Far from it, in fact. There aren’t even any books on the subject of dragons due to none meeting the Academy’s standard of credibility. And a teacher on the topic of Dragon’s pretty much doesn’t exist. The closest the school has is the Mystical Beasts teacher, Selene. A bit of an eccentric, though some would argue loon, she is very devoted to knowledge regarding fantastic creatures of the world. If anyone was a ‘Dragon Expert’ here, it’d be her. Finding her is easy, just look for all the strange animals. Which is where you find her, surrounded by creatures you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley. Or open street. Or in your dreams. Or anywhere ever, really. You stand there quietly for about 10 minutes, trying not to draw the attention of whatever the hell those things are. She finally notices you, smiles, and waves you over. “Okay babies, mommy has work to do, why don’t you run along now. Go o, go play!” Babies? The smallest one is the size of a bull mastiff! The creatures make a noise which you assume to be a happy chirp before running off. “So deary,I help you?” You tell her you’re looking for someone who’s an expert on dragons. Her smile fades just fraction, before picking back up. “Well sweetling, I’m afraid I can’t help you find a dragon expert, since none really exist, but I like to think I know a bit more about dragons than most.” Her chest puffs up with exaggerated pride. “Which to be fair really isn’t a lot to begin with, I’m afraid. So, what does a cutie like you need to know about dragons?” You tell her you were hoping someone could tell you about you about your Dragon Mark, and show her.

Kind of looks like a chicken to me.” You assure her it’s a Dragon. “Hmmm, I still say chicken.” You reaffirm that it’s a dragon. “And which of us is the ‘dragon expert’ here, hmmm?” You start to say something else, before she starts laughing. “I’m sorry dearie, that was too much fun, I couldn’t help myself. Anyways, putting aside that I still think it looks like a chicken. Or maybe it’s a tuna? They are the chicken of the sea you know. Either way, it does seem to have a subtle touch of magic, but I’m afraid it’s beyond me. Hate to say it dearie, but if this really does involve dragons, you’d have to ask one yourself. Lucky for you I know where one lives! Unlucky for you, she doesn’t like visitors, except well done, if you catch my drift.” Well that is disappointing. “Tell you what sweetie, you convince me you can meet her without dying in an instant, and I’ll tell you where to go. That okay with you? Cause it’ll have to be. I’d feel terrible, and probably be fired, if I sent an innocent young thing like you to be the main course in a dragon’s dinner. Or lunch. Maybe breakfast. I guess that depends on what time you go.” She puts her finger to her chin, giving the idea a bit more thought than is required. She keeps mumbling about how the dragon would eat you, and with what garnishes, and seems to have forgotten you were even here. Deciding that’s the best you’re gonna get out of her, you depart before any other strange creatures show up.

Must be why the Bloody Angel tried to kill you, you’re too good looking. You lose track of time as you continue posing. When the school chimes signal it’s getting late, you make one more pose. Your most impressive one yet, the mirror can’t handle you and shatters. Damn, now you need a new mirror. Such is the curse of being too good looking.

Understanding what your familiar says is difficult, mostly cause it never says anything, but you’re determined to understand it. Looking into some books, you find that spirits do have a language, but it’s not a verbal one. They express themselves through something akin to thought, not to be confused with telepathy, and emotion. It’s more of an intuitive thing than it is something you learn and understand. That’s about as much as you can ‘learn’ about Spirit Language without actually trying to ‘communicate’ with one. So, that’s what you do. And sit in front of Red Forest and just… feel what it has to say. It’s a weird thing, but you can feel something coming from it. You don’t quite understand what it’s trying to say, but at least you know you can ‘hear’ it.

The school that is to teach you to be Mageknights. Having classes of all kinds. From Magic to Combat. You go around the school and look at all the buildings and facilities. There are a fair amount of buildings and it feels like its own city. Beside the main buildings that are used for classes, is the library building. It's a 3 floor structure filled with books. You go around the main buildings and find the principal’s office Once the principal spots a new face she introduces herself as Principal Katherine. “If you have anything you need, just come and ask.” she says. Close by is the Student Council area and is where disciplinary committee also stays. The other areas are what every school would have. A canteen which is also maintained by the cooking club, the clinic a small but comfy place, and the school dormitories. Iit is usually assumed you stay here, unless you specify the place you stay. The last place you find is the clubs building. The clubs are presenting some stuff and are inviting everyone to join.

You see the dance club presenting some rad hip hop moves and the animal club are all dressed in animal costumes and presenting with the other animals. They seem so well trained. The costumes look to be somewhat erotic too. The last place you find is the cooking club. They’re cooking in their room and there was such a nice aroma coming from the place. You enter and luckily you find yourself handed some food. It was somewhat cold but it was good enough to get you pumped. You find yourself in an expression as the person beside you.

Demons are powerful creatures, even the weakest amongst them. That’s why you need someone to teach you, so you can be strong enough to smite all those damned creatures. The Mageknight Academies are known for having teachers and resources for virtually all skills and magics, so finding someone to teach you is literally a matter of finding the teacher. Which isn’t hard, since you can just ask the nearest teacher where the appropriate administrator for your Holy skills would be located. You’re told to look for the Cathedral on the east slide of the campus. Sure enough, a little exploration later and you find the Cathedral. And seeing it now, you wonder how you missed it till now. The building is massive and ornately decorated. It doesn’t look like it belongs on a school campus, but instead in the middle of a high density city. You can see people of the faith, from Priests and Nuns, to Paladins and Clerics. This place was designed to serve all people of the faith. Shaking off your awe, you enter the massive doors. The strength that is required to even budge them must be immense. Good thing they’re already open. Entering the Cathedral, the interior is even more impressive than the exterior.

“Can I help you?” Standing at the front, is a woman whose dress seems a bit out of place for a church. You opt against bringing up her choice of attire. You tell her you’re her to learn Holy magic, and to train as a Paladin. “A fellow follower of the Lord, it is always good to see young people willing and wanting to to His work. Whether it be preaching the Word or smiting His enemies, I welcome you.” The woman gives a slight nod, “I can train you in Holy magic and some martial prowess, but you would probably be better served training under Noah.” She asks one of the younger clerics to fetch the person in question. “Pardon my rudeness, my name is Mary. If you need me for any reason, please do not hesitate to find me.” With that, Mary leaves out the front of the Cathedral. Not long after she departs a large, old man with white hair and a face that says ‘I’ve seen some shit.’ enters from side passage. “I heard we have someone looking to join our ranks, that you, boy?” He walks over to you and looks you up and down, “Hmmm, not much to look at, but I’ve seen worse. I’ll let you know right now, boy, that I train people to fight Hell’s minions. I’m not nice, I’m not kind, and I certainly am not going to show you mercy in your training, cause God knows your enemies will show you none. If you think you can handle that, I’ll train you. Just don’t go wasting mine or anyone else’s time here by half assing it. Our work is too important for playing around.” The old man, Noah, doesn’t waste anymore time talking, having said what he needed, and returning through the same door he entered from. With no other matters to take care of here at the moment, you return to your room.

You and Helia take some time together. You roam around the city of Amsterdam, there are so much places you both haven't went to and with the exams finished and more time opening up, now is the ideal time to go on a date. There are tons of places to check out. One of the most common places in Madrid is the Art Museums. She brings you to the Van Gogh Museum. It didn’t sound like a good idea at first but when looking at the painting, you both talk about what it makes you feel and thoughts about it. Sometimes jokes are made about the painting and well, laughing in a museum isn’t the best idea during lunch you eat in a small food stall with seats. Some hotdogs, fries and talks about the most random things. You continue to talk about things like sports and hobbies and you learn in her free time, she actually binge watches romance movies. She really liked Beauty and the Beast movie too. By the end of the day, everything seems to have went well. “This was fun. It helped me relax a bit. Thanks!” As you both hug and went on to your rooms.

You decide to check on your family and maybe spend some time. You didn’t have much of a word with your sister so now would be nice. You head to the hotel with Helia but it doesn’t look like they're in the room. You inquire about it to the staff and they said they headed out. Must be a bad time. You try to call them on the phone and your mother tells you she’s with a friend. You sister is with her too. I guess now isn’t the best time.

A new school. A place where people are taught to become mage but yet knights at the same time. You decide to look around the academy and look at the facilities. The first area you find is the open grounds. You can see tons of students either practicing their magic and skill or just sitting down and relaxing. There aren’t much trees and there are some elevated areas which can even help in other activities. You also find the clinic. It's a large but cozy place. Everything you expect for an academy to have. You also find the dormitories. Students who don’t live in Amsterdam usually stay here. You hear there are some teachers here too but aren’t really sure. Whether you’re staying here is up to you really. You also find the Library. It’s just beside the main buildings(classrooms). It's a pretty nice place and it's headed by Ginny Loriel, the librarian. There are also the School Gym where they are showing off the clubs. You see they split the court and are currently showing off Table tennis in one side and Volleyball in the other. They’re actually giving some basic lessons to other students. You roam some more and find the security area, school farm & zoo, some old unused buildings, and the Drama theater. The drama theater was also presenting a Hamlet play. You eventually learn that being a new year, the clubs are having a show of skills. You continue on and. close to the club buildings, You see the the dance club. They say they aren't dancing in the dance room because of the required cleaning. Then, they start dancing. They do some moves some showing of hip hop movies beating with the music and after that, there is a presentation of cha cha and such. How they do this in rough cement is astounding to say the least. Their slide and movements are so rhythmic. After the dance presentations they invite everyone to come join them if you are interested. The next thing you see is the Alchemy Club. They show off some tubes and chemical reactions. It's pretty cool stuff. The last place you see is the cooking club. The lead cook is a girl and the sous chef is a guy in shades. They don’t seem to pair together but they have so much synergy and take turns in cooking, preparing and plating the food.

The main chef seems pretty skilled and every now and then you could she smirks and shows-off with a flip of the food or a huge animal shaped fire from the food. That’s a peculiar way to do it but the audience just cheer and applaud in amazement. They start plating and the flavourful smell gets stronger. They start serving to the audience and with some luck, the side tray ended up in front of you. The food was some shrimp rolls cooked with cheese. It was heavenly, you feel the sweetness of the cheese complement the flavour of the shrimp. But there was something more. A touch of something you can’t place your finger on. A common misconception is the Dispel Magic is the same as Anti-Magic. While they do seem very similar, they work different Dispel Magic breaks down magic into it’s base components. Dispel Magic on a fire spell just dissolves it into its harmless base mana. Anti-Magic ‘kills’ all the mana in the affected area. Without mana, no magic can exist, so anti-magic attacks magic at the roots. It’s like killing a weed. You don’t pull up the blades or stem, you tear out the roots.

It’s never to early to get to work. And with elections only a little less than a year away, now would be a good time start. You go out with your followers, the members of the drama club, and start gathering attention. Between your already established reputation, two cute girls, and a big strong guy, people flock around you like you were promising the key to eternal youth. You tell them you plan to run again for office, and cheers and shouts come from the gathered crowd. Words of encouragement such as “I voted for you!” and “Zoot should’ve won!” ring out as the students let you know whose side they're on. You let them go on a short while before hushing them. You can only stand out here so long. Once they’ve quieted down, you tell them your plans for the upcoming election, and what you intend to do not if, but when, elected. The crowd erupts again, louder than before. If you didn’t know better, you’d swear by the sounds that you’d already won. You let them cheer on for a while, throwing out thanks for their support, before the crowd begins to disperse for whatever other things they have to do today. Backing everything up, you and your crew head back to the Drama club room to put away your stuff. Leaning against the wall outside the club room door, however, is a familiar face waiting for you. “Early bird catches the worm, eh Zoot?” Even if you didn’t recognize Eliza at a glance, her signature smug smile would give her away. Your drama followers tense up, as if an actual fight was about to go down. “Now now, let’s all behave. If I came looking for a fight, I wouldn’t be here personally, now would I?” She has a point. You don’t know Eliza that well personally, but she doesn’t strike you as someone who takes to the frontlines. If she wanted a brawl, she’d send someone else. Your group seems to come to the same conclusion, as the relax a bit. “Now that you all can stop acting like children for five seconds, I’d like to wish you a good race, Zoot. It was ever so much fun the first time, that I hope we can have even more this time.” Winstan steps up, “If you think you can do whatever you want Eliza, you’re wrong. Goodness and honest people will always triumph over conniving liars like you!” If that strikes a nerve, she doesn’t show it. On the contrary, if her expression is anything to go by, it’s as though Wistan told a hilarious joke that she’s trying to keep back from laughing at. “Ah yes, honesty and integrity wins the day. That’s why Zoot’s the Vice President and not me, right?” She jolts up and puts a hand over her mouth as though she said something she shouldn’t,

“Oh, that’s right I am the Vice President, not Zoot. So what does that tell you?” Eliza’s eyes focus on Wistan as her smug grin cranks past 11 and straight on to 12. He can only click his tongue “Tch” and back down. “That’s what I thought. Now, if there aren’t anymore interruptions, the people who actually matter can get back to talking.” Eliza clears her throat, more for theatricality than an actual need, you guess. “As I was saying, let’s have another good, clean, fun race, Zoot. Make sure to work extra hard, cause you just know how much students want to vote for a leader who failed their exams, right?” She makes no effort to hide her snicker, “ Good luck, Zoot. You’ll need every bit of it you can get.” With that, she pushes off the wall, and enters the club room, closing the door behind her. “You can’t go in there!” Wistan exclaims as he rushes in to stop her. When he opens the door, though, the room is completely empty. “Curse that woman and her tricks!” You hate to admit it, but she is right. Failing your exams will be a problem, and you can rest assured Eliza will milk that fact hard. Leia comes up beside you, “So what do we do now?” You guess just keep on keepin on.

"Mmmm!" The taste! The crunch! The sheer cheese!~ It's almost enough to make the poor lad join the cooking club right then and there. Though there seemed to be so much more to explore now that he's had a chance to look around. Decisions decisions, the blacksmithing area looks interesting enough as tales of famous weapons and armor from Adal's fantasy novels spring to mind, not to mention the Uclip series of weapon making as well. Though the old tried and true of Adal's family calls to him just as well as he wanders closer to the School Zoo and Farm. Not to mention all the other wonderful things to do...

Well Adal was here to learn a new thing or two since this /is/ a school of course! With that gung yo atitude in mind the young lad heads for the [Blacksmith Area] to see if he might learn something neat or at least learn better care of his sword.

Afterwards the wanderlust is still running strong in his veins, Adal decides the best way to sate it would be to explore the unused buildings and see what might be inside. Granted Adal should probably try to become better in tune with his magic, but there's time for that yet!

With Aria in the team, you bring Ana over and introduce each other. The two just stand there looking at each other and after a second, Ana just barks while wagging her tail. If you want to handle this marriage issue, you’re going to need to know more about Madelaine, and the meant getting closer to her. Getting her information from Remi, you send a missive to her, asking for her assistance in a business opportunity, and to for her to meet you for lunch to discuss possible plans over. It doesn’t take long to get a letter back. When you got money, the mail moves a little extra quickly. Opening the letter reveals it to be brief and to the point, stating that she, and by extension her bodyguard, will meet you tomorrow to discuss your potential business venture. Step 1 is a success. Prompt and true to her word, Madelaine and Catiyana pull up around 11am.. Catiyana steps out first and surveys the area before opening the door for Madelaine. She steps out, ever the image of prim and proper as befitting her status, Madelaine takes Catiyana’s hand as she assists her out. She walks up to you, and before you can exchange pleasantries, she speaks up, “Let’s have a seat and get to it. I assume you already have a table arranged?” Nodding, you escort her in, with Catiyana right on her heels. You both take a seat and order something light to eat while you talk. Catiyana opts to stand, and orders nothing. As soon as the waiter leaves with your orders, Madelaine begins. “I’ll start by saying my parent’s company doesn’t deal in medical supplies, but I may be able to give you some general business advice. As a favor to Remi.” After that, the two of you discuss business plans. You try to slip in some casual chat, but she sidesteps them or just outright ignores them. She wants to keep this strictly business, you take it. When you do keep it to business, her lack of medical knowledge does crop up as she can’t help you with matters specifically regarding medical equipment and supplies. The conversation slows down when the food arrives, as you both spend most of the time eating. Talking while eating is poor manners. After you both finish eating, you continue your discussions, with her giving some legitimately good advice, so long as it doesn’t require specific knowledge of medicine. Hey, if you do decide to run your own hospital or clinic, this knowledge will come in handy. When the conversation hits a lull, she excuses herself to freshen up. Catiyana follows behind her, and checks the restroom first before Madelaine enters. It makes you wonder if she actually is in danger, or if Catiyana is just overprotective.

When they return, you decide to change it up a bit. You’ve pretty much discussed everything you can regarding medicine and business, so she won’t have as much wriggle room to dodge your questions. When Madelaine takes her seat, you strike, and ask about her magic tutor. “I don’t really see how that’s any of you concern.” She says. Ouch. “But if you must know, she’s very experienced in abjuration. My parent’s wanted to make sure I stayed safe whenever I left the house, even with Catiyana, so they arranged for me to learn some magic to protect myself.” You nod along. Makes sense. She’s the daughter of a rich family. Why would she need to know anything other than how to protect herself? You look to Catiyana, and ask her opinion. “...” She remains silent. “You may respond, Catiyana.” The stalwart bodyguard nods to her mistress, “ Yes, M’lady. I believe my Lady’s tutoring is very important. I am confident in my skills, but I am only one woman, so her being able to keep danger at bay herself till help arrives is crucial, in my opinion.” You watch to see if she adds anything else, but it seems she’s content to stay quiet after saying her piece. Getting anything out of her is going to be like pulling teeth.

I have something I need to say to Mr. Hamilton.” Madelaine nods, “Very well, but don’t be too long.” Catiyana nods and closes the door, before walking up to you. Best Defense is a good Defense. That is how that saying goes, right? Regardless, you practice improving your defensive skills by training your Barrier magic. Who needs healing magic when you can just stop damage in the first place? You borrow the batting cage and practice your barrier against the automated pitcher. Not a single ball gets through your barrier. Being a magic school, the pitcher has been altered from standard setting, so you kick it up to 11. The balls are shot at you with legitimately near lethal force. You barrier shimmers and buckles slightly, but manages to stay up against the onslaught. Eventually your time is up, and you leave the cages, a feeling of improvement in your defensive capabilities.

Learning a new language, you assume the language of Spirits counts as a language, is hard by yourself, so you’ll look for help. Asking a few of the teachers points you towards the Linguist Professor. You find her in her classroom between lessons, and ask if she can help you with learning the language of Spirits. “I wouldn’t be much of a language professor if I couldn’t help you with learning a new language, now would I? But to answer your question: yes and no. Normally the answer be a hard yes, but the Spirit’s language isn’t really something to be ‘taught’. I can at best give you some pointers, but learning it is all up to you. It’s all about getting a feel for the Spirits, and what they want you to feel. The irony is not lost on me being a language expert, but it’s hard to put into words how receive and interpret a Spirit’s intent. The best thing I can say is find a friendly Spirit, and just keep ‘talking’ to it till you get it right. Seeing as you have one with you, I’d say you’re 50% of the way already.”

Taking Rachel’s advice, you try just ‘talking’ with Red Forest. It initially feels like a starting match, as you stare at Red and try to pick up whatever it’s sending to you. It doesn’t seem like you’re making any progress as Red floats around in front of you. Perhaps you’re going about this the wrong way, so you try a different approach. You relax. You don’t try to bore into Red to see what it has to say, but instead open yourself up to what it has to give. At first nothing seems to change, but then you feel it. A slight tingle that seems to grow. You don’t understand it at first, but as you let it come, you begin to. It feels like… happiness? Closeness? Friendship? Red bobs up and down excitedly when you think that, and you assume it’s telling you in a more direct way that you’re guess is right. Red considers you a friend, that’s great! You feel other emotions rushing at you, but you can’t discern them as they come too fast all at once. Your skill in the language of Spirits is improving, but it seems you still have a bit of a ways to go.

The recent event with the Dance Room being closed has shown you you need somewhere to go to dance in the event that it is inaccessible for whatever reason. Looking for a nice, quiet, out of the way place is a bit of task. There’s always someone somewhere everywhere you seem to go till you notice some buildings completely devoid of any traffic. Looking at them, seems they’re unused for whatever reason. Exploring one of them shows it to be just an empty building. No fire damage, no lingering ghosts or other such nasties. Just a building in disuse. Perfect. Picking an empty room out at random, you practice your dancing. There’s no one judging or getting in your way as your glide across the floor. When you finish, you just plop down on the floor, and catch your breath. Hopefully no one else finds it.

Those unused buildings could have something neat in them. Or they could just be unused buildings. Either way, it’s EXPLORATION TIME! Entering the building, it seems it’s the latter. Sneakily peeking inside, you see a girl dancing around the room. Her practiced steps testament to her skill to her art. She dances for hours, completely unaware of your presence. Eliza isn’t going to make winning the election easy, so you need to put your all into gaining as much support as you can. And the best way is to put your face out there. You and your peeps go out, and just hang with students. Let them know what a chill dude you are. Wistan seems to draw most of the ladies’ attention. Seems they like those big muscles and that White Knight personality of his, though he tries to politely keep them back since he is in a relationship already, and it’s never good to be hit on in front of your girlfriend. Leia, for her part, speaks with some of the students. Her energetic and positive attitude going over well with everyone. She doesn’t even bat an eye at all the ladies fawning over Wistan. She must really trust him. Alia, on the other hand, has a much harder time as crowds of boys come up to her. The more she draws back, the more cries of “Cute!”, “She’s adorable!”, “So moe I’m gonna die!” are heard. You let them do their things while you chillax with students. You don’t really go over politics, just spending time with the people, and letting them know you’re one of them. They seem to appreciate that idea.

“If I’m really lucky you will, he’s been travelling since I went off to school. Said the house was too empty for him.” She seems a bit solemn after that but before you know it she’s back on her feet and bouncing around. Booking the travelling arrangements was pretty easy, the school provides a stipend for students that come from other countries to return home after exams and before holidays, so you lucked out on the timing. It’s not first class or anything, but the flight is comfortable and it arrived on time. The taxi will take you straight to Brooke’s place, but there’s sometime left still in the business hours when you arrive.
