You decide that you´ll try to wake up Keiko- It pains you to admit, but she´s the toughest one of your group- you were never a very athletic person, other than regularly jogging to clear your head, and Daiki is one step away from being a shut-in NEET 100%, so he´s not in great shape either. Besides, Keiko´s got a soft spot for you- so it wont be as bad as it would be for Daiki to wake her up, and you dont live very far from eachoter- In fact, her house is on the way to the store. You briefly think about stopping to eat, since your sweet, savory dreams have left your stomach grumbling in protest, but you can leave that for later- with this hangover, you dont know how long it´d last in your belly, anyways.

You close the door with your keys, making sure you´re taking everything- wouldn´t be the first time you forget something- and rush down the stairs, since the elevator has been out of order for a week already. Spanish engineering, everybody. They make submarines that cant resurface because they weight too much, and getting anybody to fix the elevator seems to be like a search for the holy grail. Oh well.

You stop in front of the door to the apartment building where Keiko lives- a mere 5 minutes away from your own, and ring her apartment. No answer- she´s probably sleeping... Though recently, you´ve heard in the news there´s been a series of thefts in the area- shit, did you lock her door when you left the other night? You were all so drunk you can´t remember...

You just need to break through the door- thankfully, its made of normal glass, so you pick up a loose brick from the ground and throw it at the door. You hear a deep growl coming from Keiko´s room, and kick open the door, almost immediately recoiling away from the room when you see what´s inside- Some sort of... strange monkey with a deformed, elongated face, its neck twisted sideways as it quickly turns to face you with a garbled sound- Are those... words?

"I´m okay! This... thing came out of my phone when i was checking out that weird app that wasnt there yesterday" She answers, coming out of the closet- her fists raised- Thank god she´s okay. You arrival seems to have filled her with courage- It´s 3 on one!.

"Heee- guess we got summoned in the end, didn´t we? Now we only need to kill these guys and we´ll be free to do whatever, right Poltergeist?" Says the fairy- you really hadn´t expected her to be like that.

You fill a couple of bags of ice cubes from Keiko´s fridge- the light seems to have gone out, as the light is turned off... First the internet, the police phones, and now this? Strangely enough, your phone seems to be able to call your friends properly, but no other number seems to work, as you find out while sitting on her couch with a bag of ice over your burned left arm- who would´ve thought yesterday that you would get struck by lighting. Or fight demons.

Happy new year, you think to yourself. Guess your resolution should be to find out what´s going on- The sun still hasn´t moved, and it seems like the temperature outside is raising. Without electricity to power the air conditioner or the fridge, the food is going to spoil- so you decide to loot Keiko´s fridge (with her approval)- and look at your phone.
The Demon Summoning App... what is it, really? Obviously, it summons demons, but they said something about a contract- Something like a business deal? But what do they get in return?

You open the app- that´s new, you couldn´t open it yourself before, it activated when you ran into the demon summoned by Keiko´s phone- but how did she activate hers?

The Demon Summoning Program, the sun locked in position, and the internet and electricity failing... It´s too much to be a coincidence. You´re going to have to find out what´s going on, and if there are more demons like those you fought, then perhaps...
"Guys" You say "I´m going to try summoning the fairy demon- Pixie, was it? "

Daiki looks at you with a worried expression. " You sure about that Nobu? What if she tries attacking us again?"

"Well, i figure whoever made this program would probably not let us use it ourselves if it was just intended to kill us with the demons, and they did say to summon them again, yeah?"

" But if they did want to get revenge at us for beating them up, it´d make sense for them to want us to summon them again- Keiko, what do you think?"

"Well, beats just waiting around doesn´t it? Besides, its just one demon- without the others helping it, it should be piece of cake."
You nod. Well, two to one- you hope you´ve made the right choice, as you open up the app, you´re greeted by a deep red screen, with letters in pure white.

Well, that isn´t ominous at all, you think. You browse its menus- Summoning... Ah, there it is. Seems the demon´s name is Pixie- or her species name. Do demons have their own individual names? It would make sense, but you guess you´ll have to ask her if she doesnt try to kill you.
Upon pushing the "Summon" button, a red light comes from in front of you- A sort of magic circle appears on the ground, and the demon quickly appears from it, the light rapidly vanishing.
"Eeeh! It worked!"- Daiki recoils away from the newly summoned demon, as it looks straight at you

" Don´t be such a pussy Daiki."

" Ah, boss! I see you´ve summoned me again, huh? Didn´t expect to be back so soon." Says the demon in a cheery tone- She seems... a bit too happy to be back, though not aggresive.

“That´s the name of the lightning bolt magic thing? Yeah- You seem rather happy about this whole thing.”
“Well, you beat me, so the contract is sealed, boss. Have to work for you, so why should I waste time being mad? It’s not like that´ll change anything. Besides, working with you three means it´ll be easier to survive here, so it’s a win-win in my book” She explains- So demons who are beaten up when summoned have to obey the summoner, huh? That explains some things, but how did the app end up on your phone?

“Pixie, do you know anything about the Demon Summoning App that was used to summon you?”

“The what now? You used that phone of yours to summon me, right? It was like a normal ritual, just… faster, I guess. Like, prepared beforehand? Maybe that´s what that is, I don´t know much about those phones you humans have, but maybe that thing is just a way to speed up rituals stored inside it. Could be wrong though”

That was rather informative, actually. Doesn’t explain how it got to your phone, but if she´s right, your friends should also be able to summon the other demons you fought- That´ll be pretty helpful if things go south, you´d wager.

It´s pretty weird that, with all the noise your fight with the demons must have made, the breaking of the glass door and Keiko´s own wooden one, nobody has come- Even if the phones don’t work, people live here, and after yesterday´s New Years parties, they must have been still sleeping- And yet…

Keiko and Daiki look at you- as if asking if they should. Daiki seems to still have his doubts about doing so, though Keiko seems to be getting pumped up just thinking about fighting again- So it falls on you to decide this, for once.

Daiki nods, not completely convinced, but maybe a bit too scared of Keiko´s reaction if he insists- or maybe he actually agrees. Hard to tell with him, sometimes- he´s been kind of a pushover for a long time. Back when you were kids, he was trying to keep the bullies from noticing him, too…

Keiko and Daiki take out their phones and open the Demon Summoning Program, the bright red screen lighting up their faces in the windowless lobby. The demons – Preta for Keiko and Poltergeist for Daiki- appear in the shining crimson pentagrams that manifest on the floor.

The three of you decide to go check out the lower floors first, in case something happens- If there are demons there, and you were fleeing from something from the upper ones, you´d be surrounded- And with the street being closer, if things went sour, it´d be easier to escape.
You slowly make your way down the stairs, telling the Preta to stop growling so much before it gives your position away- It doesn´t seem to be very smart, or at least nowhere as smart as Pixie is. She, too, seems to be listening carefully for any signs of other demons- guess since she made a contract with you, other demons aren’t going to play nice with her, if they even would have beforehand.

You go down one floor, reaching the 2nd one of the building- You check the doors, putting your ear to them to try and hear anything that might be making noise inside, but nothing. You knock on some of them and back off quickly, but nothing- A couple of them have scratch marks on the outside… You try to open them, but they are locked- Are there people inside?
“Hello? Anyone in there?”- Damm, they probably don´t speak English… “¿Hola?¿ Hay alguien ahí?”
No response from inside. Daiki sighs- but you signal for him to be quiet. You think you hear something moving inside the apartment…

Scratches on the door, but no demons in sight… And even after you called, no response, but movement inside.
You can´t be sure of what´s inside- But that´s not going to stop you, you think to yourself, backing away a bit from the wooden door- Though, why would you need to actually kick down the door yourself? The Preta managed just fine on its own before.
“Keiko, can you tell your demon to knock down the door? I think there might be someone trapped inside- or a demon. Either way, if we just leave the door be, it could bite us in the ass later”

“ Got it. Preta, door, smash.”

The small, monkey-like demon lunges at the door, smashing into it with its fists and cracking the wood- Damm, it´s pretty strong- how did you survive a battle against these demons? Does it have anything to do with the fact you have the Demon Summoning App? Some sort of safety measure for the summoner? While watching the Demon whack away at the door, you have an idea…
“Daiki, your demon is a ghost, right? Can it go through walls?”
“ Huh… Hey, Poltergeist, can you-”
“Sure…”
The Preta stops hitting the door, which was already showing signs of caving in, while the small, green ghost goes inside to check what´s in the room.
“ It´s demons. Plural. There seems to be a stronger one, but they didn´t notice me…”

Well is now poisoned.

The door to the apartment easily breaks apart thanks to the damage caused by Daiki´s Preta, splinters flying into the apartment with a well placed punch. Inside, you see something you didn´t quite… expect.
What looks to be some sort of… Pink, flying gargoyle demon thing sitting on a chair, surrounded by a group of floating purple balls of light- is looking straight at you. Of course, breaking open the door wasn’t a very subtle move. Dammit
“Poltergeist, that´s the strong demon you were talking about?”
“Yes… It´s Gagyson. He´s… much stronger than me”
“You flatter me, little ghost. But don’t think that´s going to help you, aha. You got beaten up by a bunch of humans, I see. A shame for all demons, to be beaten by a group of weaklings like these- I see you even had help, to boot!”- The monster- Gagyson, raises from its chair, ready to fight.

That demon looks… much, much stronger than yours. Shit- you need to get out of here- While you may have the advantage of numbers, something tells you this isn’t exactly to your advantage.
“Going somewhere, kid?” Says the demon- Shouldn’t its beak make it unable to produce those kind of sounds- Dammit, Nobuyuki, you need to focus. The demon is coming closer, as are the floating lights- You need to think of something quickly.

“Pixie, Poltergeist! The ceiling, now! Daiki, Keiko, we need to get out of here!”-

Pixie looks at you confused for a second, then nods and begins casting Zio- directing it at the electrical lights on the ceiling, making them explode and making glass rain on top of the pink demon, startling it for a second, while Poltergeist´s wind attack pushes him back- it seems to be rather effective for the power difference at play here- even though Gagyson is much stronger, he is still staggered by the spell- Some sort of elemental weakness?
Whatever it is, its bought you just enough time to flee through the door, and almost fall down the stairs in a rush- You can hear the monster cry out in anger, and push yourself to run faster, finally rushing out of the building.
