New players are always welcome!

In this quest you assume the role of an aspiring student who is about to enter the Mageknight Academy of Amsterdam. You must hone your skills, make some friends (and perhaps also some enemies) and fight battles in order to prove yourself worthy of graduating as a fully fledged Mageknight! Each year (every 100th turn) your character will be tested by the academy to see if your character is progressing well and meeting the Academy's high standards. After the 3rd year your character will head off into a their first mission for a final test.

How to Join:
New players must fill out their character sheets. The sheet must include the following information:
>Anyone can join at any time. Latecomers and laggers are given bonus action points to catch up with the other players.
1) Your character's full name
2) Your character's backstory, appearance and any other useful information.
3) You are given 3 Skill Points. Choose 1 starting spell and 2 other skills or spells.

How to Play:
1) Each turn you will be given 2 [Action Points]. Post your character sheet and your chosen actions along with a 2d100 roll.
>Normally your roll must pass the [Difficulty Challenge] of 25 in order to succeed.
>Getting a 10 and below is a [Critical Failure] while 91 and above is a [Critical Success]
2) All players must wait for the "TURN GO" post before submitting any actions posts. After which you must post your actions only to that post.
3) After all actions are processed and a new turn begins, update your character sheet.

Acquiring and Improving Spells & Skills:
1) Study, research, explore, train or take classes to discover and learn new spells.
2) Training an already learned spell or skill will raise it further to the next tier once enough [Progress Points] are accumulated.
3) The progress threshold is based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,2,3,5,8,...)
>Usually Spell and Skill tiers are named as Basic => Intermediate => Advanced => Expert => Master
>Alternatively you can label the tiers as T1, T2, T3 and so on.

Spellcrafting:
Spellcrafting involves fusing spells with various skills, knowledge and even other spells that your character has learned together creating a new spell or skill.
>The name of the resulting new spell will be determined by the QM. By default it will be "Cast A B C..."
>Your dice roll will affect the result of the spellcrafting. Lower rolls will result in weaker or negative version of the intended spell and vice versa.

Social Interactions:
1) Role playing with other players is a free action. Role playing with NPCs, however, will cost an action point to do so.
2) Collaborative Player-to-Player actions like trading, tutoring and PvP, will cost an action point to do so.

Combat:
1) Post 2 actions like you normally would. Your opponent will roll their own 2 actions.
2) To defeat your opponent, you must overcome their defensive or evasion roll and vice versa
>If you have not rolled an evasion or defensive roll then your opponent must pass normal DC to hit you and vice versa.
>If both combatants attacked successfully then it's a Double KO.
>If both combatants defended successfully then it's a Stalemate.

You bring up why you came, making sure to keep it mundane as possible in case of eavesdroppers, pretty much saying you’re moving back to Madrid soon, and wondered if there was anything you could do for her. “Lawrence, if you pardon the familiarity, just knowing I’ll have a friend there if I ever come to visit is all I need. It’s a shame that you’re leaving though, but we all have to do what we have to do. Stay safe out there, and stay clean. I hear it’s gotten quite dirty there lately.” She gets up from her desk and comes up to you, hand outstretched. You take her hand and shake. It’s really soft and smooth. And it has something in it. You pull your hand away, careful not to let whatever she palmed you fall. “If we don’t see each other again before you leave, Farewell, Mr. Birch.” With that she returns to her desk. Taking it as your cue to leave, you exit Eliza’s office. When you reach the relative privacy of your room, you look at what she handed you. It’s a note: “Next time, pet, don’t forget what I tell you. I don’t like repeating myself.” Oh, yeah. She did tell you before what to do. Well, that probably wasn’t the best possible last impression you could have made.

Your broken leg wasn’t cooperating as well as you had thought, and you lose your footing at the top of the stairs. You reach out for the railing, but miss it. Coming down face first, your head collides with the steps as your already broken body follows right after. You lose track of all the bones you’re pretty sure you’re breaking if the sickening crunches are any indication as you tumble down. When you finally reach the base, you can’t feel anything besides pain. That’s a good thing, right? You can’t even scream, as your mind is overloaded with pain and can’t process anything else. Fortunately there are people around to watch your fall, so you are quickly rushed to the infirmary. They don’t bother telling you what’s broken, because after a fall like that in your condition? What isn’t broken. You repeatedly fade in and out of consciousness as the whole medical staff work on trying to piece you back together. When you finally come to, you can’t move, but you’re still in considerable pain so you’re not paralyzed. Letting your eyes adjust to light for the first time in a while, you see you’re in a full body cast. The doctor comes around and sees you’re awake. He gives you a rundown of what happened, and it doesn’t sound good. The fact you’re even alive is a major miracle in and of itself. You’ll most likely be bed ridden for a while before the body cast can be removed, and then after that you’ll still be in recovery for some time. Could be worse you guess… no it couldn’t.

There wasn’t much details given on this so for the next few nights, you patrol the outside walls of the school. For the first and second night, there seems to be nothing, You think you spot some people but they are usually couples or drunks. On the third night, You think you see someone vandalizing, it looks like a kids drawing some stuff. You call her our and suddenly, you feel light-headed and weak. You out your hand on the wall hoping you can lean on it and you feel some kinds of stickiness. It smells like spray paint. Was this part already vandalized? You fall and think you hear some laughter before you black out.

Upon waking up, You hear some laughter, but it's different this time, its more…. mature in a sense. You open your eyes and find yourself in the cold stone ground. Once you move your body you feel stickiness around the body and feel pretty cold. You look around and see that you’re still in the middle of the sidewalk and for some reason people keep giggling and murmuring around you. You soon see that the there are graffiti around your body and you pants and underpants were taken off. You try to cover your groin with your shirt and to get to your dorm as fast as possible. With the long run to your dorm and all the students seeing you, you were eventually branded.

That security pass is nice, but you need something you can use soon. Hopefully you won’t need it, but better safe than sorry, right? Digging around, you see some of the Alchemy nerd mixing up some brews, being awfully careful about being seen. And people typically only try to remain unnoticed for one reason: they’re up to no good. Spying on him, you see him cut off a lock of hair, and drop in some of their own blood. You don’t know much about Alchemy, but you’re pretty sure those are ingredients to some kind of Control spell. Probably a Love Potion, which is very illegal to create or possess without proper permissions and licenses, which you know no student could possibly have. Careful to approach him with spells at the ready, you don’t need him throwing that shit at you, you call out. He nearly jumps out of his skin when he realizes he’s been found. He asks what you’re doing here, and you ask him the same. He looks around, probably trying to come up with some lie, but with the evidence right in front of him, there’s really nothing he could say or do to get out of his predicament. “So, what do you want to forget all this?” First you tell him to destroy the potion. Now that you know he’s making it, if you let him finish you’d be liable for anything he did. If he makes another later without your knowing, that isn’t your problem. Next, you let him know you own him now. When you think of something, you’ll let him know when he can pay off your silence.

And from that hand grows an arm, that leads into a full body of glowing light. Nearly blinding to look at, the light surrounding the figure begins to diminish, and you can begin making out the form. Those are the thoughts that pass through your mind as she stabs you through the chest with the Spear. “May the Light have mercy on you.” is all she says, and her expression as she runs you through is of one who is merely stepping on a bug. She rips the tip out of your body, and flies off. You are vaguely aware of people running towards you as the combined loss of blood and mana force you to lose consciousness.
You come to a few days later in the infirmary. It took a lot of work, but the doctors managed to save you. While you’re out of critical condition, you’re still in recovery, and are being ordered to take it easy. When you ask about the woman who stabbed you, the doctor tells you she claims to be a servant of the Light, and that it is her mission to purge the land of all evil. So far she’s only killed some monsters and bound demons in the area, but there have been some close calls regarding some of the shadier residents of Amsterdam.

Hey guys, I've been around for a bit, you may know me for my randomly breaking bones and constant crit fails... or you may know me for my incredible CHARISMA and FLEXES. But I have grown tired of playing James Baxter, though he was fun in the beginning he kinda got boring so now I am letting him go, but don't worry, he is now just a NPC of the Amsterdam Academy.

Heeding her words, you head back to your dorm for a long nap.

You don’t have the luxury of taking it easy. After a few days of training, you decide it’s finally time to stop before you begin doing harm to yourself. Wew, that was a workout. Your limbs feel like limp noodles, but you can feel yourself improving with the sword, and you think you’ve gotten a little tougher, too.

Building Stamina is pretty important. It can be the thing that saves your life in mid battle. It was a good idea to start on this. You head to the gym and start working but as you enter. You are suddenly entranced by a girl nearby. A redhead talking to multiple students. You just forget what you were doing. Your legs just carry you to the group of people. You end up standing in front of her not knowing what to say. She looks at you and asks “What do you want?” as she says this, you suddenly realize what you’re doing. You excuse yourself in a very awkward manner and you try to enter the Academy gym but you’re drawn to her again. You can’t take your eyes off her and soon you realize, you’ve spent hours just staring at her. You overhear some talks of them about her favourite hang-out spot being [Raduno’s Game Cafe] and she enjoys singing even if she claims to be terrible at it. The day soon ends and as she leaves, you snap back to your normal sense but now there seems to be a bug in your head you can’t get out. The whole day seems like a drag without her and you don’t even know her name.

You go to investigate the site where you found the vampire lady. Maybe you can find a clue or something. When you get there and see what’s left of the chamber, you have little hope of find anything of use. It seems she was pretty thorough in wiping this place out. Everything is burnt to ash, rubble, or both. You try picking up any traces of her blood, but there isn’t anything. Dirt and rubble aside, that fire sterilized the room better than any operating room you’ve ever seen. Well, that’s unfortunate, seems this trip was a bust.

Calling out Remi, he comes to your room and you both cuddle and relax for awhile. You all talk and laugh about the weirdest topics. Like saying a word too much and how it would sound so weird or how the world we live in could be a simulation and both of this could be predetermined events meeting. The weirdest and deepest topics indeed. Everything was great with the whole day, he scooches over in front of you as you hug him and you could feel his whole back touching your crotch up. It was nice as you feel each other’s body heat as you both cuddle. You spend hours close together talking but his phone rings and he stands up removing the lock both of you had with each other. He answers the phone as he goes out the room for awhile. He didn’t seem to happy as he answered the phone. He goes back inside and whether you ask him about it or not, he doesn't say much about it and says its nothing serious and you both talk but sit in a not too close position this time.

After that exhilarating experience of being penetrated and left for dead, followed by exams that make people wish they were dead, it’s time to get to studying for the makeup exams. Since you’re bedridden cause the doctor says so, you send Red Forest to the library with a note asking Ginny for some reading material. You lay around doing not much all till Red returns with the requested books. It seems Ginny sent a note back, “Get well soon.” That’s nice. Whelp, time for studying. You grab one of the books and get to it. Learning about spirits might be a good place to start, maybe the woman who stabbed you counts as one? The book goes over various types of spirits: human spirits, more commonly referred to as ghosts; elemental spirits, not to be confused with Elementals; nature spirits, which are commonly mixed up with elemental spirits, there is some debate if the two should considered different type of spirits; magical spirits, which are like artificial elemental spirits created by magic. It’s really interesting stuff, though most of it goes over your head since you only just started learning. But that’s okay, for better or worse, you got a few days to study, since there really isn’t much else you can do.

The professor inspected it and was impressed with the design. Bayril was humble about it and said that he made it himself. You learned a bit of tricks from watching him.

What was he doing? Bringing Salvation to people. Was he? Yes. Something about it just felt so strange. He could feel the Angel’s voice whispering to him, giving his reason and purpose for his actions. But didn’t he already have that? That purpose was sinful. Filled with selfish desires that only spreads selfish desires. Really? Everyone looked so thankful when they were leaving the clinic, how could that be selfish? You don’t really help them because they’re suffering. You help them because you owe a debt of life. Did he? All that work in the clinic should have paid that off by now. Not to Kiru. Vlad? Not Vlad. Then who? That judge back in America that gave you another lease on life. A second chance. You selfishly save lives to prove your own was worth saving. Did he? Had that been what this was all about? Showing someone across the world that he was worth something after all? No, he had made his own purpose in life. People needed help, that isn’t selfish to want to help people. The Angel was playing tricks on him, making him doubt himself, he had to stay strong.
Bringing life to these sinners was an act against God. Was he the voice in his own head now? Like the worms that they were they had scurried to the shadows to recover. It wouldn't be much of an issue to give those IV drips a little extra..kick. Humming to himself Markus set about doing exactly that, injecting the IVs with a lethal amount of morphine.
