We're still accepting new players!

Updates:
The Adventure Update
+Quests-- yes, there are actual quests inside the quest that you can do for money, perks, weapons, items, etc! Took me long enough to get all of them done.
+All bosses now have a Hard Mode-- something to revisit for a harder challenge.
+New Skill: Survival - Allows you to scavenge in areas for food, water, ammunition, and other worthwhile materials; allows you to make fires and purify materials; gives you a chance to hold on for dear life after running out of HP.
+Two brand new story arcs to explore about the YouthQuest lore! Yay!
+Alchemy has been buffed, as previously talked about in #discussion.
+Minigames! If you go to your House, you get to use DVDs (two are given to you for free, but you can find even more) to play shit for fun and perks.
+Four new enemy types!
+Melee weapons have been buffed slightly.

Just Plane Wrong
+Plane of Nightmares: An alternate realm where the world is much, much more difficult and without remorse; money, however, is tripled.
+Summoner's Run: A challenge set by the Grand Council, where players must survive against waves and hordes of endless(ish) enemies in exchange for prizes beyond imagination.
+A bunch of fucking melee weapons, mostly swords and clubs.
+Another bunch of bows, because you can never have enough of those.
+Alchemist's Cookbook (Volumes 2 and 3) will now have six potions instead of three due to rarity. This also adds six new potions to the game.
=Last Stand is ready.
-The Guild System has been replaced with the Party System, which works the same, but speech restrictions are higher and the cap is four (4).
-A bit more of Frank's sanity.

The Nomads make quick work of unlocking the cage and leaving with Johnathan quickly.

>>1239541
Jack goes out to the front and warps into an alternate version of the school, where the clouds slowly swirl like before...except these ones are pitch black. Suddenly, a buff man in a pitch black jersey and flames in his hands appears in front of Jack.

[Cape of the Traveler]
Artifact | Chaotic Good (3/3)
Bound to Player

A torn relic from a time long forgotten and sealed in history...you feel a shiver of fear and excitement while wearing it.
This item will make you look like a fucking badass, more commonly known as a +10 to Intimidation.
This item, due to it's aerodynamic state, will allow you a +5 to Dodge rolls on foot.
This item makes you incredibly swift through old, unknown magic; you will be able to attack twice as much when using melee weapons, as well as a +5 to Fleeing.
This item has an aura around it, but you can't tell who's...you deal more damage and have a +5 to ALL swords, bows, and pistols.
This item, due to it's extensive history, will allow you to find more ammunition and money on enemies.
This item is cursed; some characters will confuse you for somebody else, and by finding this, you have attracted attention.
This item will make characters around you treat you differently.

Blacker Baron loads his weapon of choice while Mary looks a bit frightened.
>"I didn't exactly have a choice. The Warehouse and the Nomads are currently under an alliance, you know, kids for cash and all that. Like I said before, I'm just the all-around medic. I don't ask questions, nor am I allowed to without getting a substantial reply in the shape of a bullet."

>>1242069
>YouthQuest is an RPG, set in a forgotten city from the remains of New Mexico. This city, for years, has been cursed by The One, an otherworldly demonic force beyond any reasonable strength. However, before The One's chaotic reign was secured and spread to the reaches of all planes, two heroes stood to oppose him, and unleashed a great power that sealed this demon in a potion; however, this potion to it's plane has been unlocked; and Chaos roams free to enslave the city once again.

Erik just has enough to slice off Training Dummy's right arm!
(Training Dummy, 9975/10000 | Bleed I)
>Hey hey, nice job! See that junk to the right of the HP? That's called Status. Chopping off limbs will usually cause an effect called Bleed, which increases by one tier (ex. I, II, III, IV, etc.) for every limb you decide to chop off. Every tier can increase the extra damage taken by 5. This stacks with other Status effects as well-- for example, an enemy with Bleed II, Burn I, and Poison II would be taking 25 damage per turn extra altogether. It's pretty straightforward.
>As you progress through the game, you will gain bonuses to certain skills. All of the skills in YouthQuest can be found in the Discord server, but just to make sure you get the hang of it...
A desk appears, with a man on the other side.
>Say you want to buy this sword-- I'll take that from you, thanks-- and this guy's being a real dickwad about it. He wants to sell the thing for a solid thousand bucks, but you don't have that much. What you do have, however, is a +4 to Speech. Now, go ahead and make a Speech roll, same d20 as usual, to drop the price down. Feel free to roleplay if you see it fit.

>We regret to inform you that your services in the Freedom City Biological Engineering Centre are too risky in our current struggle against the forces on the Surface; however, due to well received praise of your schematics for the Anti-Riot Device, we are happy to offer you a position in a small project to overtake the Surface's education system, partnered with a small youth mercenary organization titled the Nomad Project. Should you accept this job offering, we will do anything in our current power to promote you graciously to Head Scientist of the Nomads. You can begin anytime, but please send a reply back if you do. We offer our sincerest apologies, but there are no other available contracts that require your creative mindset.
~Commander Molyard, FCC

This next paper was only from two week ago...

>In response to the 7th Freedom City Council,
>I apologize for not getting in contact with you sooner. I will happily take the position of Head Scientist and use it to my greatest potential, starting as soon as I send this paper to you. However, due to multiple security concerns of the lacking Nomad Project budget, as well as the incidents I've looked over about a small group of newer students rioting in the Surface's downtown areas, I ask for an advance to start the process smoothly. To confirm that this budget will NOT go to waste, I have sent a blueprint for new armor concerning these "Big Boys" that the Nomads have taken pride in.
~Ko

And this one from a day after?!

>To the esteemed Ko,
>We have looked over your blueprints and found it quite intimidating. We thank you for your time; with this envelope should carry a $25,000 bonus for maximum production. The Council looks forward to working with you in the future.

Was she really Ko? Was she a Clone? Where was her Dad? Who are the Nomads? So many questions with little answers. Ko panics a little but calms herself down. This was just like her Animes and being a total sperg wasn't going to help her.

She writes, "Dear Ko
Hello, it is me. Ko. I had awoken in this place with no clue on what is going on and may require some information regarding the situation at hand. If you are just me, like the real me and I had some case of... whatever you call forgetting everything. Maybe I hit my head or something. I don't know."

"If you wish to find me, we can arrange something peacefully and carefully. We wouldn't want either of us doing anything stupid. I will be in school since it is the only safe haven I know at the moment. Please contact me in a manner befitting peaceful contact or I will assume the worst. Love, Ko 1 or 2.
Ps. I'm not sure who the original is, but I don't want to insult you."

The place appears to be evacuated entirely, allowing you to scope out the layout of it all. Three sets of seats, on the left, right, and center, all face a currently closed curtain. This is obviously where plays used to take place before the School was lost, but the seats could work as cover. A platform covering the second and third floors leaves another large amount of seats, unable to be reached from where you are. Blankets seem to cover up the railing...
