"Oh hey miss." Carl said tilting his hat as you walk by. "Have to say this place here makes you think... Mainly what are we doing with our life if they can do all of this by themselves? Kinda makes the whole daycare thing seem stupid doesn't it?"

You toss out Planny, the ralts clutching her yellow sword excitedly.

You kneel down to her level. "Okay Planchett I have a very important job for you." You point at Debbie, the young girl skipping in a near by stream with her Marill and Dunsparce. "You see Debbie? Whatever she wants to do, do NOT let her cause some major incident." Planny tilts her head confused. "I'm serious, she may seem cute and tiny but she is pure evil. Pure, evil." You remember that one time she took your bra to show and tell, or the time she wanted to show you a carvana she found and, since you weren't home, left him in a full bathtub so he wouldnt die.

Which is a nice gesture IF SHE TOLD YOU IT WAS THERE.

You could go on but its not much of a choose your own adventure if you just go over tragic flashbacks. This isn't one piece.

"Raal?" Planny seems a little confused but she hasn't let your... gurieness stop her before so she is sure she can handle Debbie! I mean she beat Mr Chop without a sweat how hard can it be?

When you were a kid you just walked in a forest and walked out, you didn't worry about this trail stuff. It's not like you ever got lost.

Right now though you are just on the main path. Chatting with Carl about your mutual interests.

"You see the trick with a tactical pokemon like your joltik there is that you don't really need that much punch. Your normal pokemon are there for that, a hidden pokemon just needs skills to get you out of a jam." Carl says lifting his hat and showing you the inside.

"For instance gander on over here." You peek in the brim, silver netting tracing the inside." That there is a pokemon store and release mechanism. Magicians would use those for their tricks, pull a bunnelby out of a hat but the hat was always a pokeball. When I expect things to get dicy I move Oliver into this ball just in case."

You blink. "Wait didn't you have him in a healball when we met, why would you not stick with the hat."

Carl points a thumb at Oliver, the fletchling perched on his shoulder. "He thinks the place is sweaty. But Oliver has moves to help me make a getaway as much as he has ways to fight cheatin ladies and their Foxes."

Obviously with a good roll you can pull it off but far from the plan not working there is a decent chance you'd just be caught mid strategy meet. You'd have to fail the roll for that but I feel I should tell you.

You nod as he hands you the ticket, thats not TOO bad...

"Miss, I've been in the trade for awhile and I never saw someone quite that scared of a cop before." Carl says a small frown on his face as you sniff.

"I am not scared! I just, I don't like signing in public..." You mutter as Carl stares at you.

"Where do you get your world from?" He mutters. "Anyhowdy old long arm over there would likely be off my trail for a few days but what now?"

You raise a eyebrow. "Their boss?"

We shouldn't have a problem with the fine because of our clothing line, but seeing as it's now documented that we've cheated we have limited options. We either have to leave someone in the box or continue cheating (to which I assume there's a harsher penalty for after the first violation).

You decide now is a good time to job, navigating the woods with Liu Liu ahead of you as you search for a spot.

"So Carl, have you considered using a disguise if you are wanted?"

Carl raised a eyebrow."Like your superhero geddup?"

You pout. "Magical sentai! There is a distinction! Superheros are from Unova, Fairy Type mask is from Johto! And no, thats more a masquerade. I mean a disguise! Like acting like you are someone else."

Carl chuckled. "I'll take your word for it. The only disguises I've used is this ranger outfit, and this technically isn't a disguise."

You blink. "Wait you were a actual ranger? With the friendship top and everything."

He coughs, the long haired man adjusting his hat. "Please don't call a capture stylus a friendship top Miss, feels a little like a grave being stepped on. But yes. I figured initially if I couldn't have my own farm to just befriend wild pokemon and go ranger. But I'm not quite fond of the travelling, you can't really acquire a solid connection that way."

The man shrugs. "Course now I sell pokemon so I can't hardly say I've improved my lot in life but such is farmlife."

You nod, you guess that makes sense. "Anyway, we can give you a fake mustache and you'd easily be able to pose as someone else.

Carl blinks. "Does that really work."

"It's never not worked." You say. "My dad was a master of disguise you know. He won a Wallace Impression contest OVER Wallace."

"...but Wallace doesn't even have a mustache." Carl mutters confused before you reach the clearing.

It is a nice clearing and its close enough to the village you can have your pokemon make a quick run for some food.

You can even do some training during the meal! Though Mimikyu looks a bit pooped from yesterday so you'll let him take a break.

As a note im doing things a little different.

I'm not going to keep track of levels because it discourages trying new things. Instead the more you train pokemon they get certain milestones, like better moves or more they can do with their abilities (or different abilities). You can't keep grinding training out on one guy, so Weiss and Mimikyu already learned things too recently to do anything else. In this case a bonus to hail and moonblast.

Bonus milestones like I gave you earlier do not count.

Pokemon evolve when I feel like they should, or requirements are met for the more picky ones like magnezone or Eevee. Basically you get Beedrill when i feel bedbug has done enough to be a beedrill. This will hopefully make these evoltuions more of a big deal.

Also every "Day" You pick five pokemon to take with you, rather then having to wait for me to make a prompt to switch pokemon. H

This will hopefully let you have fun with more pokemon.

You decide to try to see what kinda moves Piper has, since you are just testing and not training you have Piper face off against a tree.

"Okay Piper, see that tree." You point at a tree, a gnarled ugly thing.

"Beat the crap out of it!" You say pointing at it as Piper lunges at it. You kinda feel vindicated a little, which is odd cause trees never did anything to you... besides knock you out and leave you in the woods... Okay thats a decent reason.

Piper spits a deluge of seeds, branches snapping off under the leafy onslaught. So bullet seed is one of her moves.

Piper cackles and vanishes, the tree shuddering as it crashes in front of you, Piper giggling from behind it.

And shadow sneak... that's... you were kinda hoping Piper wouldn't learn that move... augh she is going to get you in trouble.

Well that solves the question of what she is capable of. But how can you improve this?

You turn to Planny. "Are you okay over there?"

"Ral." She states, apparently she only got hit with Will-o-wisp so shes only burnt a little.

You DID notice Suzie managed to grab a item before Planny could make a turn, which is impressive given the Ralt's speed.

Honestly you are surprised he actually carried a foldable grill, he didn't seem the type.

You point at a tree and ask Zorua to show you her stuff.

Liu leaps into action, darting next to the tree and leaning close to it. "Zor zor zor." Liu snickers as she leaps back.

You... don't know what she said but given Mimikyu's face it wasn't nice. You think the tree even looks a bit more pissed off. So you guess that was taunt.

For its next move Liu turns around, the tip of her tail turning red as she scribbles on the ground.

Fortunately that didn't DO anything because no move was used but you are pretty sure that's Sketch. Which means it could be any move... so you guess you didn't really narrow down Liu that well.

Though from what you've seen, her and Piper seem more in the "Lock down and debilitate opponents" kinda type rather then Mimikyu's "blow them up" type.

Still, pretty useful to have.

You decide to try to practice illusions with Liu, the fox turning into a stump and back again rather easily.

"Good why don't you try... carl?" You say pointing at carl as he blinks from his grill.

It's PRETTY close, the boots are the same, the same gangly frame... there is just something a little off.

Oh that's right, Liu doesn't have a face.

Liu pops back as the teleport dissapates, dissapointed as you keep at it.

It takes awhile but... you don't really get into the swing of things... but maybe it'll be easier next time?

Carl hands you this bowl of white drenched cabbage, its a little tangy but you are hungry so whatever.

You point Planny at Suzie, the ghost floating near Carl who's been staring at it oddly... you aren't entirely sure you introduced Carl to the whole "psychic" part of your background but he seems the type to not ask... so you guess you still won't.

"Hey Suzie? You're my knight right? Help Planny with her swordsmanship."

Suzie smiles, unzipping her mouth and withdrawing a long pin, the needle sharppened to a fine point. "Sure thing~"

Suzie and Planny vanish as they begin their sword fight. You sigh, sipping the Unovacola Carl hands you. You really need to learn to do that anime thing where you can track super fast fights, this is kinda boring.

You see Planny stop in place, swinging her blade as a loud crack was heard, the tip of Suzies needle falling into the ground as Suzie teleports near you.

Suzie stops moving long enough for you to see her, the living nightmare claping. "Very good. Completely useless since it went right through me but it did break my weapon."

You think Planny learned Vaccum wave! That can be useful, its a very fast move and Planny always seemd the agile type.

"Burger time." Carl calls, handing slices of grilled grunpig and tauros to you and your pokemon, you cringe a little as you notice all the tamato's mimikyu is loading his with. That's way too spicy for you.

You can see a glum blue haired person behind Jessie, who kinda looks like the innkeepers husband you meet that one time. "Sure, big screens." He mutters as the meowth next to him nods. "And even bigger bars."

A snake slithers up behind her, the bright purple cobra posing with her. "Old Arbby is finally back with Team Rocket after a long and harrowing journey. And what a epic it was, after... HEY" Nyarth seems to have started arguing with someone offscreen. "What do you mean get to the point? Don't you see you can't rush perfection here? Hmpf... Anyway since the director here want's to drive this tm to the ground lets get onto the performance."

Wobbuffett rolls in a dummy that Arbok whacks with its tail, the sand bag ripping apart. "As you can see poison jab is, unlike many poison attacks, much more about the initial destruction, the poison is just to take advantage of the wounds, so all you have to do..." Jessie said charging at the dummy. "Is hit it with all you got!" The dummy crumples under Jessies kick, the already decapitated sand bag spilling in the floor.

"And now for my song routine." Jessie giggles as the screen cuts off....

That's... are all the tms done for parole? If you get arrested would you have to go on tv too? You really hope not.

"Did you ever have to do this?" You ask Carl as the tm spits out.

"That would mean I got caught." Carl said, handing you a burger, sweet sauce slathered on it as you bite into it.

You practice the move with Bedbug and eventually, along with Kakuna's improved poison glands you not only manage to pull it off (Though technically its more of a "Toxic tackle") But you even manage to incorporate it into your string shot, the thread now dripping with purple venom.

Well that's what your Mom said and if Officer Taillie Niamc thinks its true it probably is. You never seen her lose after all.

So its probbably best to boost Mimikyu's disguise ability and fortunately for you the best expert in that is... dead! But you are a close second. Or at least fourth if you count the Nyarths.

You come up with a few designs and, though Mimikyu insists he makes them himself once he is done you can tell they are rather stunning.

You can barely recognize Mimikyu most of the time eve.

You nod as Carl pushes a button on his wrist watch, the egg flashing as its sent to the pc.

"Preciate you not going all friendship and rainbow on me." Carl said tiltin his hat. "Most people don like the whole selling deal."

You shrug, "I don't mind where people get pokemon, just how they treat them. As long as Happiny gets a good buyer it's fine that she's sold. I feel a little bad for her though."

Carl sighs. "Yeah not good for a child to change hands too much in the formative years. Then again look at Bedbug."

You look at your bug who seems rather startled, but you think thats more because he's back to being the youngest. "Well... he followed me." You say petting the sad pokemon and feeding him some of your coleslaw to cheer the child up.

"A baby pokemon just tried to follow you? Odder and odder." Carl muttered. "You do notice the oddity don't you?"

You stare at Carl confused, then you sniff, eyes watering.

"I'm... I'm not weird. I'm just *hic* a normal girl." You say eyes tearing.

"Oh hold on missy I didn't say weird." Carl hurridly corrects himself, dabbing your eyes dry with his bandana. "I said odd, it indicates unusual not defective. In my line of work that's a compliment."

You sniff. "Really?"

Carl nods. "Sure, picture a fight with a charmander, you'd use a water pokemon right?" You nod. "But what if that charmander could use thunderbolt? Suddenly it has a counter and someone who went for the easy counter is themselves now in trouble."

You blink. "So me being odd is... good?"

Carl nods. "It means you have advantages other people don't know about, the most important thing in this world is misdirection. As long as no one can predict you no one can control you."

You rub your eyes, dried from Carl's hankydana. "But... what do you mean I'm weird? Is it because I run away all the time."

Carl raises a eyebrow. "Gurie, I have ran away from everything you've merely cowered in. Even if I wanted to judge I have no position to." Carl raised his fingers. "I'm mainly referring to how you are, a powerful psychic, possessed by a insanely powerful pokemon you made, seem to attract very rare pokemon to you, and all those pokemon develop their own unique skills." He points at Weiss who has continued her paint lessons with Planny. "Do you know how valuable a pokemon who knows sketch is? Granted Zorua are not the most popular on the market due to frailty but she could easily be traded for a shiny pokemon."

You stare at Weiss, who blinks at you. She doesn't seem like a super powerful pokemon, you don't even think they are that interested in fights. "I am not sure, its not like I've designed some special pokemon training regiment..."

Carl shrugs. "And so far I haven't seen you really dominate anyone above your level bracket. You don't seem to be some super fighter you are just... I guess good with pokemon? You could be a good breeder." Carl thinks about it. "Actually correction I can't see you handle farm life very well. Maybe nursing?"

You try to imagine yourself in a nurse outfit and shudder. No way. "I'd rather just stick to my dresses."

Carl nods. "Nothing wrong with needlework. Now should we go see if Pokemon village is in one piece?"

You chuckle. "It shouldn't be too bad, she wouldn't try anything with Planny around... right?"

"Raa?" Planny waves at you, the portal Mimikyu took her from closing with a ploop.

You decide to book it, darting through trees and leaping over one confused Amoogus as you huff to the Pokemon village, Carl left behind to clean up as you carry Planny and Liu under your arms. They seem rather confused by the whole thing but you don't have time to put them back in their balls.

You pant as you finally reach the village, dropping your pokemon as you heave, well, the place isn't on fire right now so... better then expected.

You walk through the village, Planny in front, trying to sense Debbie, it sure would be convinent if she radiated evil or something like some hellspawn but no, she's actually a normal 10 year old girl...

Planny eventually leads you to Mewtwo's cave where you see Debbie... sitting in front of Mewtwo? What's that she's holding.

Nyahaha, with Aegislash EX's Slash Blast it adds 20 damage for each metal energy it has. Now your Alakazham EX takes 100 damage and faints! Debbie cackles as she grabs two of her prize cards.

"You bastard, now you only have two left." Mewtwo says, sweat dripping from her head. "I can't let the leader of Pokemon Village fall to a mere human."

Oh can't you? Do you think you have a choice?? Your Mewtwo has double energy attached which makes my Aegislash immune to it. Do you think your godhood has anything against the secret Cot family technique? Nyahahahaha! Debbie cackles as Mewtwo clenches a ballfingered fist.

But... I did? It was kinda working, and Enslave is a harsh word thing, indentured servant Debbie said ignoring your shaking.

"But... you said slave! He's MEWTWO he has a thing about the whole slave thing." You say. This is it, Debbies going to get you and her killed, over a card game.

I don't know... he seemed to be having fun. Maybe he'll accept a little servitude? It's not fair you get Suzie and I don't get a stupid powerful friend. Debbie pouts. Don't be greedy and hog everything to yourself.

Mewtwo looks up from his card game, attacking Planny's Zoarork and drawing a card. "Oh? You're break exceeded my patience so I restarted the game with this youngin here. A rather interesting simulation of combat I must admit."

My... my perfect strategy... Debbie sighed looking at her deck neatly put away.

"Were you intending to continue? It wouldn't have been meaningful unless I can make my own deck." Mewtwo stated as Planny defeats one of his pokemon, the god scowling. "Reward is proportional to the trial. Even if you had my service fully you'd simply be known only by your relation to me if you relied on me to much." Mewtwo flips the coin with his psionics, cursing as it lands on tails. "But I will barter for this deck you gifted me, so rest assured it was not complete not."

Debbie sighs. Okay.

Well that... takes care of that bombshell.
