Simply put you have found the cultists, and shot the cultists, and looted the cultists. No heretic is getting inside that head of yours, not today.

Also your current helpers have proven to be both agitating and a good means of baiting out psykers. good job mooks.

You have decide to use your fame of being now called a saint by these poor mutants to your advantage and thus have started shouting in hopes they will show up and you can use them as cannon fodder, Guardsman Drez is not happy about this but hay neither were the cultists about you shooting them and why start caring now.

"well," you start before you hear it, the loud crack of a sniper firing, you and Drez drop to the ground but the other guardsman was not as lucky. you look up to see half his head smeared all over the wall his body on the ground, twitching as brain and blood leaks out of his now partially blown away skull.

fuck, fuck, fuck, was the only thing you could think of. you were exposed here and not only that you had a sniper probably scanning your position "over here" you hear a whisper, you turn towards it and see the mutant girl from earlier who had called you a saint

"Quickly miss saint I know a safe place." she pleads with you to crawl over to her. Drez on the other hand was being proactive already he had crawled to some cover and was trying to determine where the sniper was.

you note some other mutants had gathered behind the mutant girl, they looked friendly, and they begin motioning you to crawl over to them.

Ok, you think to yourself, I think I can grab his sniper and get to cover. Lets do this. you quickly ignoring the mutants jump up and sprint to the opening where your fallen comrade lays.

you sprint as fast as you can but unfortunatly the bullet was faster, you hear another crack and your left leg just stops working, it also hurts like hell (-12 wounds) well shit your leg is broken by a bullet going through it. as you hit the ground you continue rolling into cover, you missed the sniper and got a broken leg out of it.

Steeling yourself to the pain you check around the cover were you spot the flash of a scope, you also note it's aimed at Drez, "Drez keep down, he's aiming at you!" you yell and drez smartly keeps his head down as another bullet hits the top of his cover.

Lacking any weapons and now with a broken leg really its impossible for you to shoot at the bastard but you try with the laspistol, only to watch the shot fizzle in the air.... shit.

You look down at your leg. clean wound not too bad but your leg was definitely broken, not like Markal's thankfully though. You should be able to reset it and make it somewhat functional. well this is going to hurt.

You note some broken wood near you and also your dress is quite ripped and muddied, sorry Valirsa I will get you another one you think to yourself.

first thing is first, you grab your leg and begin to move the bone into place, your sight darkens a few times before you finally get the thing into place and you manage to do it without screaming in pain, ok hard part done.

You then rip the skirt, no use in modesty now this is a battlefield, quickly you take the two pieces of wood and set them to either side of your leg, taking the cloth you ripped from the skirt you tie it around the leg and wood making a makeshift splint for the leg (+3 wounds).

-Crack- another bullet hits your cover but you remain calm, the mutant will succeed you believe in him and something that big wont be killed so easily. suddenly you hear a yell, then silence..... a minute passes with no shots being fired. "you think he is dead?" you ask Drez

Drez checks over his cover looking at where the sniper was "that son of a bitch got em." he confirms

you hear giggling on the other side from Mirasi as Markal's voice changes to Drauge's "well, that was fun but in all seriousness I'll send some reinforcements to you, Mirasi will be leading them."

son of a bitch got you, damn he is good with that voice changer, anyways it seems that the mutants had gathered around and were walking towards you. Drez being the asshole he is flicks his lasrifle to medium and aims, "not too close mutants, stay away from the lady."

"Drez they are here to help, the fac tthey saved us proves that, now then are you willing to become the hand of the emperor to root out these heretics?" you ask the mutants and several roar out in approval and other nodded their heads.

arg.... the bastard was right, really charging in would only get casualties and really these mutants are not military, they are civilians.

well all we can do now is wait for the touchdown of the reinforcements.

a bout 4 hours later the dropship hovers above the building you and the mutants are in and Mirasi and about fifteen guardsmen drop to the street, among them was the ex-cultist Mark now with a ][ burned into his forehead.

"good to see you," Mirasi says, spotting you immediately and walking over to you "Elizabeth"

right you never made a name for yourself in this form, great just roll with it "good to see you sister Mirasi."

"Oh don't be so formal," oh god she is smiling, you give her the 'don't you fucking dare' face and she just continues "I remember when you had your first-"

"MIRASI!" you yell in her face "NOW IS NOT THE TIME!"

Is the orbital bombardment like the laz gun?E.G can it be set to low output because a light bombardment to kill the cultists outside followed by a charge would be optimal. we really need to get info on any other cultists hideouts, so we can exact exterminatus on the heretics.

You look at the flying trasport and you think to yourself maybe arming this group would be good, or at least giving them enough armor to make sure they survive more than one hit.

"Mirasi, you have any extra armor with you?" you ask now deciding to act the part of little saint since the mutants can see you and to cover for the bad plan

Mirasi continues smiling seemingly enjoying your discomfort at pretending "well yes, I believe we do have some additional armor. do you wants some?"

"well yes and some for these brave souls who came to our aid in a time of need." you gesture back at the mutants

Mirasi's eyes look at them and you see a slight amount of disapproval in them, "well..... fine," she pulls out a vox "can you drop some of the extra armor down here....... yes it's for the mutants...... shut it they are fighting for us...... do I have to come back up there?"

A few moments later several armor boxes are dropped to the ground from the transport and it turns and flies off. you and a few of the guardsmen walk up to the boxes and begin distributing the armor to the mutants, though a few of them can't wear most or even any of it your mutants are now somewhat protected (-3 to incoming damage) you yourself manage to find something your current size.... holy shit Carapace armor this stuff would be a keeper if this form was not temporary (-5 incoming damage).

Also turns out one of the mutants worked as a doctor for the other mutants and was able to repair your leg a bit more in return for providing armor (+4 wounds)

anyways it is time to begin the assault on the cultists and time for you to choose.

you quickly think up a stratagem, just blowing the building up would destroy useful information and sending the mutants to attack from behind would leave too much to chance. "ok, poor disfigured children of the emperor I would ask you to become the bulwark against the heresy that has taken root in this planet, will you take your place on the front line to live and die for the emperor's light?"

emperor did that sound cheesy but almost immediately the mutants do their best to salute you and the guard "We will live, bleed, and die for the emperor if he so asks it." says no-eyes

good we have an expendable front line who wont run when people start dying and we reduce casualties on those who are actually 100% useful.

you and your troops move to where Drauge's coordinates were and surround the entrances..... several minutes pass with no sound, then out of the building a bolt of lightning flies out and three of the mutants are immediately killed you and the troops open fire on the building reducing the doors to splinters and whatever was behind them probably is now full of holes. you and your men begin advancing on the building, slowly, firing shots each time you see a movement inside.

with the sniper you spot several cultists attempting to set up a heavy bolter but a few headshots and a couple shots into the bolter itself ensure they are not mounting a counter offensive in this fight, well not without the psyker's help anyways.

The mutants on the other hand have gone full fanatic and charge in, shit. more yells, shots and lights go off inside. you spot several hooded people run out one of the doors. two of them in chains and you note some feathers falling out one of the pant legs of the fleeing cultists.

You quickly order your men to advance, they have a psyker and it is not afraid to bring its magic bullshit into this mess. quickly you and your men enter the building to see quite a few of the mutants have fallen, not from gunfire but from psyker..... psykers three of them to be exact. all three of them are brimming with energy it seems as bits of lightning spark for their eyes...... well fuck the middle one is Thera, knew that bitch would not stay hidden for long. only having enough fuel to get to this planet was way too suspicious.

Thera looks around "well I was hoping Simun would be here to see me again but well guess beggars cant be choosers." she pats both the other Psyerk's shoulders "kill them, they are not who we want."

As the Psykers raise their hands you whip out the laspistol and fire upon them. the first one did not have time to react, too engrossed with the destruction he was about to unleash, the laser blew his head open showering his friend and Thera in gore.

The second caster freaks out and suddenly begins screaming horribly as a portal opens up and he is swallowed hole....... what the fuck happened? actually never mind this is a good thing.

Thera now stood there, alone with angry mutants and guardsmen pointing their guns at her. you decide to speak up "So heretic any last words?"

Thera smiles "idiot girl, you think I did not plan this?" wait why is her skin turning blue? why does she have feathers, why does she look like a big humanoid bird..... oh fuck me, deamon "Ah," she sighs "its so good to finally stop pretending to be a human, that other foolish deamon thought I was his servant but really he outlived his usefulness to me, now then where were we? oh right me killing all of you."

Note to self daemons dont like getting shot, kinda normal if you think about it but hay good to know.

"Oh you are one cheeky bitch!" Thera shouts over the lasfire as the rest of your group begins firing upon the daemon as well.

"SIMUN SENDS HIS REGARDS!" you roar back at her. bitch gunna hurt soon. your powerpack runs out and you slot in a new one and continue.

"ENOUGH!" Thera roars suddenly her shield explodes outward blasting everyone off there feet, before you can react Thera is on top of you and one of her taloned hands grabs onto your head "I WILL BREAK YOUR FEEBLE MORTAL MIND!"

you feel something trying to worm its way into your mind.... SHIT! wait your laspistol is still in your hand you might be able to shoot her and stop her, or you can contend with her. you are especially tough mentally, staring down nids proved that fact.

also you know when she blasted her shield out she took a few shots, they looked bad but were already healing.

Thera squawks in pain as you hear several ribs break under no-eyes grip. unfortunately Thera was not being done in by that and she takes her clawed hand and rams it though no-eyes back.

he lets out a cry of pain before crumpling on the ground dead "Insufferable mutant, daring to attack it's betters."

upon no-eyes death the remaining mutants become completely frenzied and charge with reckless abandon at the daemon, determined to kill it and exact vengeance.

your guardsmen are also affected by this show up pure self sacrifice as they begin shooting again with renewed vigor and fury. Thera is once again forced to retreat behind a shield squawking threats and curses at you and your men.

The girl mutant rushes up to you, even when seeing the person who was acting as her guardian die does not stop her from prioritizing what was important in her mind. "a-are you ok?"

you smile weakly, fending off a daemon from your mind had taken a lot from you "ya.... I think so."

she nods "stay here, I'm getting a friend." with that she turns and sprints away out of the house.
