After your week of relaxation with your wife you feel refreshed. You wake up and head to the lake with her like you have been doing for the past week and sit with her. After a little while you see Angelica rush over to the flower that you and Bosari have planted. She looks over the flower and begins to take some notes. After she doesn’t go much farther than that you decide to head over to the slave area.

When you get to the slave area you see that the wolves are all still bound up in a pen with some of the Asheran slaves. When you ask them why they are together the people on guard duty tell you that both they and the Asherans need to be, as they are violent and the Asherans could escape, so they were put together. Accepting this answer you look over the Capra slaves and decide that you wish to….

You order the Capra to follow behind you as you guide them to the training area. When you arrive at the site you order them to sit on the dirt. When all of them are sitting you begin to use the air to write out the Brucarian alphabet on sand.

“I want all of you to read and study this”, you day looking over them, “This shall be your language from hence forth so know it well. Those of you who do shall be rewarded.” With that you let them begin.

The slaves manage to surpass your expectations of them over the week. Many of them managed to advance to basic words and sentences over the course of the week. While they won’t be giving any speeches you manage to get them to begin speaking in broken Brucarian. In the settlement your people have also made some headway. The troops have managed to improve their skills and you feel that they have become even stronger. In addition to that the slave houses have managed to go up without any issues. With things going so well you begin to prepare the plans for next week.

You wake in the morning beside your wife once again. You lay on the mat beside her for a couple of minutes before you finally decide to get out of bed. You go for a quick over to the lake to relax. When you get over to the lake you can see that Angelica has her hand raised over the flower and is looking over it.

“So what are you doing exactly”, you say as you walk over to her.

“I am trying to see what exactly is going on with this flower.” As she says this she lowers her hand and looks over at you. “I have given some of my mana to the flower and seems to have grown, but I can’t exactly tell what it has done. I can see that it seems to have had some effect on the earth, but I don’t know what it is. Please could you give me some more time?”

You accept her words and head back to her area. When you get back to your place you see that Bosari has just woken up. You grab the book of mind magic and decide to spend some time with her.

Over the course of the week the settlement makes some good advancements. The training of your soldiers goes well under the direction of their leaders. Your loggers do excellent work and manage to obtain more logs for the settlement. In addition to that the crew that you have working on the bricks makes a good number of them over the course of the week.

However, you don’t exactly have that kind of luck in your readings. Though a reread does great you some passed over knowledge it fails to teach you anything you were not already aware of. Luckily Bosari is there to distract you from the disappointment that the book turns out to be this week. On the last day of the week you and your leaders meet to plan things out for this new week.

You head over to the lake once you arise in the morning. When you arrive you see that Angelica is looking incredibly happy with herself so you head over to her. When you reach her you see that she is standing over the flower. However, besides the flower is a small golden bud.

“I’ve done it Merric”, she says turning to you with excitement in her eyes, “I have managed to cause another flower to grow. To do so I just allowed earth mana to flow into the stone. In addition to that these flowers seem to be able to slowly make gold. Most likely to serve as roots. Well that is all for now I have more work to do.”

Wirth that she heads to her area with you left behind. You decide that you should spend some time working on your relations with the Joni tribe so you head into the forest to go meet them. When you arrive at their village you are escorted to Chief Amala.

“Ah Merric it has been a while since we have last talked”, she says as she walks over to you, “Now tell me what you come to discuss?”

To start we could teach you how to summon spirits from nature. We could also teach you how to manifest you elemental mana as a number of different forms. You head back to the settlement and get all of your advisors. You bring them to the village of the Joni and head to the chief’s tent. There you meet a short older women wearing some deer furs. For the rest of the week you are instructed in the how to use healing magic. Though it takes some time you manage to all learn basic healing spells.

In the settlement things aren’t exactly that great. While the scouts manage to find some of the beastcursed’s path ways things in the village don’t go that well. Unlike last week not that many logs are able to be cut down. In addition to that the settlement has issues with the bricks made over the week leading to none of them being made. With the week finished you plan the next week.

You awake in the morning and head over to the lake to relax. Unfortunately, your normal spot is being controlled by Angelica. She is currently just sitting by the lake and analyzing the water.

“So what are you doing”, you ask her as you walk up behind her.

“For today’s exercise you shall be preforming a simple task”, you say as you look over them. “All you have to do is prostrate yourselves to me. If you do this things shall be easy for you. However, if you do not I can make your life pain”.

All of the slaves quickly bow before you deeply. Many of them have it so their horns begin to press into the dirt. You nod and begin to get into the more in depth training. The training goes much smoother as they can sort of understand you.

Outside of the slave training the settlement sees a good amount of prosperity. Your troops have become even stronger than they were thanks to their training. In addition to this you manage to gather a good supply of crystals and your trading goes off well. Unfortunately, the quest for alchemical ingredients in the area is not as successful. With all that done you begin to plan for the next week.

“Oh hi Merric”, she says without looking up at you, “I think I have made an advancement on the drugs. I seems that both slime and crystals naturally absorb mana so I just need to do a bit more…”

Before she can finish a roar rise up from the training fields. The two of you look at each other and rush over to the training field. The site that you see is shocking. Standing in the middle of the field is a tall figure standing in silver and blue armor in the field. In his hand is a massive great sword that radiates darkness. Beside him are the bodies of 5 guards members that have been cut in two. Across the field Tiberius and Alexander rush in. Sensing that you and Angelica shall possibly be a better fight he charges at the two of you.

The light hits the creature and it cries out in pain. Where the light touched steam and shadows begin to rise up a melt away.

You gather your mana and twist it once more within you. You direct it once more at the creature and let the mana loose. Unfortunately, you are soon hit by your own mana. Your vision begins to blur and your hands become less steady. With your spell backfiring you are in a dangerous situation and the creature begins to take advantage of it.

The creature takes his blade and jams it into the ground. From the place that he struck with his blade dark ice begins to flow forth. The ice spreads across the battle field and the cold begins to cover the area. Angelica manages to heal herself a bit and she begins to stand. Thanks to the ice that has formed across the earth the field has become disadvantageous.

The field is coated in dark ice.

Before the creature can make any move you strike. You summon forth a mighty ale to separate you and your allies from the creature. The wind pushes him back and allows you and your allies to catch your breath. Angelica once again tends to her wounds and she stands tall once more.

“Now let’s get him boys”, comes a shout from the other side of the field. You see that the scouts have organized themselves and pull back their bows. From their bows fly arrows heading toward the creature. Unfortunately, the creature dodges and the arrows fly into your wall and are torn up.

The creature turns back to you and lets out another cry. It raises its blade and from it fly shards of dark ice. Most of the shards are destroyed in the wind, but some of them fly through and hit Tiberius and Angelica. Alexander waves his hand and below the creature emerges a pillar of earth that strikes it causing it to stumble back.

With the creature behind the wall you decide to attempt to trap the creature in a tornado. You gather up your mana and form a tornado over on the creature’s side of the wall. Unfortunately for you the tornado doesn’t form where you wish it to and it forms beside the creature. Though the winds exert some pull the creature manages to avoid being drawn into to it.

“Men another round”, shouts the man leading the scouts. They load some more arrows into their bows and let loose at the creature. However, the arrows do what the creature did not and get caught by the tornado’s winds and begin to swirl around in it.

The creature continues its offensive and runs through your gale wall. He dashes over to you and your allies and before you can do anything he lets loose a blast of dark energies knocking all of you back.

The creature roars once more and begins to charge his mana. The air around him begins to become cold as the heat gets sucked towards him. In addition to this darkness flows from him and heads out towards all of you. It is about to hit you all before it suddenly stops.

You look over to the creature and see that though the cold and dark energies still flow they all head towards Tiberius. Tiberius is standing in front of Angelica, and is suddenly in his armor. On his cape, seemingly made of a shining darkness, is a black rune. Tiberius begins to walk slowly over to the creature and it throws everything it can at him. However, all of its magic is absorbed by the darkness and his attacks are blocked by the shadows. When he reaches the creature he takes his great sword and runs it through. When he takes his blade out the creature drops dead and let’s go of the sword.

It is then that you receive a shock. As the creature hits the ground it turns into a man in guard’s armor. Angelica quickly heals herself and walks over to the body. After a couple of seconds she examines the blade and then gasps.

“That sword is the demonic blade”, she exclaims, “How could this be.”

It is then that Tiberius falls to the ground and his armor disappears. Angelica quickly rushes over to help him up while looking over at you.

With that said you walk over to the slave pens. The Asherans all seem rather disappointed when they see your rather well off state. As you walk by you can feel the glares of the light mage on your back. Ignoring them you head over to the Capra slave pen. Thanks to you recent training sessions they are all rather subdued. You now believe that you can begin to mold them into more devoted slaves and find out their skills.

You grab the Capra slaves and pick up the injured wolf and head over to the training field. You toss him to the ground and turn to the Capra.

“In light of recent developments I shall be giving a special lesson. Today I will show what happens to those who cross us.”

With that you begin your week of work on the wolf. You start by healing the wolf cursed of the wounds that he acquired. You then place your curses on him. As he writhes around in pain you prepare some spells to test on him. You gather wind energy in your palm and shape it in your hand. When you are done you hold a blade of wind in your palm. You slash at him with that and other wind magic’s. After a while you heal him and start over. By the end of the week he is much less rebellious, and the Capra know what you do to rebels.

Things elsewhere in the settlement go rather smoothly. After the issue at the training field your men are focused on recovery so they don’t get that much training. However, the resources time do good jobs and gather a lot of materials. When you check back with Angelica she says that she may be on to something here and needs just one more week of examining Tiberius. Together you plan te next week for the village.

I have gotten access to some new technology. Using a special chemical compound we are able to create explosions without using mana. “Sure I’ll take one”, you respond after thinking things over.

He nods at your response and heads into the hold. He comes back after a moment with an item with a long grey barrel and a partially wooden body. Attached to it is a strap which he indicates is to sling it across you shoulder.

“Well”, he says leaning back against the wall, “the gun can fire off pure mana, but we have yet to be able to get the bullet itself to be able to store mana. It would either take altering the powder or the bullet and me and my associates did not have the time we wished for. Regarding your second question I have a number of skills. For starters like you I am a successful merchant and I own a decent sized company. In fact most of the people on this ship we associated with me in some way. My second talent was from my upbringing. I came from a family of slave traders so I gathered some talent with training slaves. Finally, I am a capable alchemist and that is actually what led to me developing the powder. “Could the two of you answer some more questions for me? First what type of magic’s and skills do you possess?”

“I am a steel mage””, says Captain Maria, “I am also capable of casting dispel type magic. In addition to these skills I am also an excellent leader and navigator. All of these reasons and more were why I was sent here.”

“While I don’t have the skills of my sister I can also carry my own weight”, begins Marius yawning. “I am a steam mage who excels in manifestation type magic. In addition to that I also am a good leader and can easily keep my bearings on land. Now if you would be kind I would like to make preperations for landing.”

You nod to the two and head back to land. When you arrive you see that your wife is assisting the landing craft making their way over. You decide to help by….

This let's learn things
>>
You decide to help out by aiding the merchants that were on the second ship. As you head over you that they are taking a number of large crates to the camp. When you get close enough you can catch some chatter.

“So have you heard? The new world is full of riches and wealth”, says a young merchant to an older one.

“Bah all I see is green right now. Until I start seeing gold I am not impressed”, replies his companion.

You offer to help out the merchants and their aides by carrying some of the crates. Thanks to your magic you have an easy time of carrying them which allows you to pick up some more information. Apparently the only one in this group who knows how to make gunpowder is Lance. The rest of the group mainly is blacksmiths and other groups who work to make the weapons. You also over hear a rumor that Lance’s spear is some kind of prototype weapon.

When you make it to the settlement all of the merchants begin to quiet down. Apparently the conditions that you are living in are shocking to them. While some of them perk up at the sight of the slaves the rest seem to freeze up at the shock of not having a house ready. Considering this you decide to….

A. Show them how things are around camp
B. Help them construct some homes
C. Train the slaves as planned

“In this settlement we cannot afford to look down on tasks”, you begin turning to the merchants, “Everyone here does their part to better the village. If that did not happen we would have died a while back and you would have arrived in an empty village. Now if you are not pleased with the accommodations that are presented with you then I suggest that you work to fix it.”

With that you head over to a pile of logs and begin to move them into place with wind magic. The merchants are watching you carefully and after a while they decide to….

The merchants soon fall in and join you in construction. With them aiding you the process goes rather well. With the new arrivals help you manage to build a couple more homes. This is shared with the rest if the village as many tasks are accomplished this week. The teams that were sent for herbs came back with a good amount of them. In addition to that the progress on the town hall has gone smoothly.

At the end of the week a meeting is held to discuss the issues that the settlement is facing and how they should be dealt with.

“So there are two threats to this settlement”, says Maria having heard the information given. “I believe you should destroy the closer of the two immediately. That means removing those beastcursed.”

“Sis personally I feel that the Asheran’s though not an immediate threat are the one that we should worry about”, says Marius looking half asleep. “After all they were able to put up a good fight when they were invaded. Also they have more reason to retaliate.”

“You know we have no real reason to attack either of them”, begins Lance, “I feel that we should work more on infrastructure and getting things that we could trade. What do you say Merric?”

A. Attack the beastcursed(quicker less reward)
B. Attack the Asherans(longer more reward)
C. Bide time and gather resources(reward+ chance of attack)

“I agree with Lance”, you say pulling their attention, “we need to focus on building our settlement up. We may attack them later, but for now we need to focus on becoming stonger.” With those of you the talks changed into those of what should be done for the week. Once they were all done you headed to sleep with your wife.

When you wake you head to the lake to rest. It only lasts for a couple of moments before you hear Angelica rushing over to you.

“I have managed to identify what happened to Tiberius. I had a hard time at first, but I was able to find a link in the story of the resisting King Author. In the tale it mentions how later during his conflicts with the empire he would have a crown on his head made of light. Every time he wore the crown his men grew in strength. The tale calls the regalia of one’s soul or their true power made manifest. With this knowledge I looked again and I saw that most of this power was coming not from his mana, but his soul. If I had to guess the stress of the moment resulted in him activating this power.”

“Thank you Angelica”, you reply digesting this information, “that should be useful in the coming days.”

She nods and heads back to her area. You head over to the slave pens and pull out the Capra ready to train their….

You grab the Capra and lead them to the training field. They all seem a little subdued thanks to the performance that you gave them last week.

“Now I know that you are thinking about what occurred last week”, you begins, “However, I would just like you to know that what you saw is solely for those who disobey. Because you have been such good a loyal slaves up to this point there is no reason for you to face such pain. Now for this week all you have to do is preform certain tasks around town.”

After your little speech you send them out into the settlement and they do excellently. It seems as if they took your words to heart. Throughout the settlement they assist your people with any task that they can making life easier for your people. With all of this being done your village is able to have a very productive week. The gathers pull in a good number of bricks. In addition to that you are able to get a large number of logs this week putting you at a great job this week. Angelica also, does a decent job working on the anti-magic drug, but it is not yet ready. Unfortunately, training doesn’t go that well do to them having to get used to each other.

With the week over you all have a meeting on what should happen next week. When you are at their Lance comes over with a question.

“I have a question for you”, he starts, “would you like me to focus on preparing trade goods, prepping guns, alchemy, or working with those slaves of yours?”

“As you have only been here for just a while you may not full have realize what your position is. I shall educate you on how things are. In this settlement you are one of our slaves and as such you should get used to being obedient to the people of the settlement. Today for your training you shall assist by wife.”

She starts out to aid your wife with you following behind her. She is rather unsure of herself, but she does her job admirably aiding your wife when she needs it. After a while she begins to gain for confidence. Things in the village also go rather well. A good number of herbs are gathered for the settlement to work with. In addition to that a good number of crystals are gathered and two more slave houses are made. Also, the scouts manage to pull in a good amount of food for the week. When you call the town meeting Lance calls you over.

“So I have taken a look at the village and managed to find what goods that we could trade. The crystals are a good resource that shall have a fair demand. The herbs will also be demand highly, but there are many selling them in Brucarius. We could sell the furs which shall be in decent demand, and with our resources we could begin to get more. Finally we could sell those flowers, but that may take a while to get ready.”

With those ideas to consider you begin to plan the next week for the settlement.

A. Herbs high demand, moderate pricing easy to get
B. Crystals high demand high price moderate gathering
C. Furs high demand moderate pricing easy to get
D. Gem Flowers Extremely high demand High pricing very difficult to get

After the meeting is over your head over to Lance and tell him that you would like to begin selling furs. He nods and begins to examine the furs that you have acquired from the trade with the Joni. With that done you head to your area and go to sleep.

While you are on the field you try to see if you can come up with any techniques using your magic. However, nothing comes to you. In fact if anything you feel that this week was rather wasted compared to what it could have been. This sentiment is shared among the others who have trained. While it has kept them I shape it has done nothing else.

Elsewhere in the settlement things are more successful. A decent amount of food is gathered by the gathering crews. Also, good number of logs are gathered that could be used for building. While that is going on Lance manages to prepare the furs for trade and also talks things over with the Joni regarding the supply. Each week in exchange for 10 crystals 20 furs shall be obtained.

As you are having the weekly meeting Angelica approaches you with news of her discovery. She has found that with some Geli fluid and grounded crystal powder one can make a drug that drains the user of magic. It can be either taken directly or mixed with fluids for a weaker effect. Rolled 57 (1d100)

You arrange for Angelica to study the items that you acquired then you head off to bed. When you wake you are greeted by the feeling of Bosari's warmth beside you. Once again you decide that you and your wife should spend some time together. When she also rises the two of you head over to the bay. That is how you spend the rest of your week. You and your wife spend time together enjoying the water and the peace. You also help the ships prepare for their voyage back.

During your rest period the settlement was progressing. The town hall saw some work done on it and it is very close to completion. In addition to this a good number of herbs is gathered by your men. Unfortunately, training is still in a slump, but Angelica finds out how to make the items that you retrieved. In the town council meeting you are meet by Lance who wishes to find out what you are looking for in the next shipment from Brucarius.

What will be your quest on Akun if you do it?
>>

See you anon. I will either run a quest set a number of years in the future of this world about a student at a school for magic run by 'unique' individuals. The other would be a quest about a worker in the afterlife.
