In the name of the command seal, you order Saber to surpass her limits, to fight and win, and come back to you alive. And then you try your best to flee to Rin's house. For a little bit, it seems like the fight is following you, but eventually, that ceases to be the case. The sky has been dyed red with all the chaos though. You can see a bit of blue off in the horizon, but the sky directly above you is an ominous red.

You check your phone, only to find that you've got no service and like five texts from Irisviel asking what the fuck is going on in various tones. Except for the last one. The last one cuts off due to size restrictions, but it goes into detail about how the holy grail is probably going haywire, and to get to a safe place as far away from the mountain as you can manage, before cutting off just after mentioning Kititsugu planning something. You figure that's when you probably lost service, and the text is marked about an hour ago at this point. You decide to go find Rin, but don't get very far before Archer stops you because you are so horribly lost in this house. You share a quiet moment of bromance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izGwDsrQ1eQ before he shows you to Rin's basement, though it's more like a bunker. There's a nice family portrait hanging on the wall facing the entrance/exit, with who you can only assume to be her father, her mother, her, and Sakura, but other than the portrait, this basement is really musty, though it's filled to the brim with magical artifacts, and you can't help but feel a little safer down here, there's probably a ward up to keep out whatever that feeling of impending doom that woman was putting out.

"I was wondering when you'd show up."

You flinch when you hear Rin's voice for just a moment, but then you turn around, smiling at her in relief, and for a moment, the bitch face she constantly has breaks and you can see the deredere underneath all that tsun before she regains her composure, and you do the same. You proceed to ask her just what the fuck is going on.

"Well, I'm not quite sure, but it seems the grail is going haywire. Anybody that's up at the temple on mt ryuudo probably got the worst of it. I wouldn't expect any of them to have survived."

Rin goes on for a bit as you begin to frown. One of your best friends lives up there. or lived, since according to Rin, the whole place is fucked now. You can only hope he was still out for the day when it happened. You ask Rin if she can help you find Saber, telling her that you had to use a command seal to get away, and since they hadn't vanished yet, that she still had to be alive.

"Well, I can certainly try, but I will make you no promises. I've got an Archer at my disposal, not a Caster. Though this war's Caster seems kind of quirky..."

You think it's a stick of some sort, and Rin lets out a surprised yelp when she sees what it is, and scrambles to try and pick it up before you can even see it, but it's too late, you've seen it. She has a magical girl pendant of some sort in her hand. Rin's a fucking magical girl. And she didn't even bother to tell you. And now she's blushing angrily and Archer is giving her a deadpan stare like he expected this to happen. He opens his mouth to make a comment, but Rin responds with a "Don't you fucking dare even breathe a word about this" to him. The pendant begins fighting her best attempts to keep it hidden and then speaks up.

"Please help me, I'm Kaliedo-Ruby, and this girl has been keeping me hostage for years now!"
