“This really isn’t much, we should keep what we can and split the reward on a bigger mission.”

Alice seems disheartened a bit buy the fact none of the funds will be going to the guild today. “But…”

“The faster we get better equipment, the faster we can get better missions with higher pay. Then we can get more money for the guild.” You respond to her unspoken argument.

“I guess…”

“Come now Alice, let’s go get cleaned up.” Faye says, bringing up the fact we all pretty much have mud in places we never knew about, much less wanted. Alice scrunches her nose in disgust at the thought at being in water, but nods none the less. A bath does sound good right about now, but there is stuff to do.

“Yeah I could use a bath right about now. Alice you know where the baths are right?”

Alice nods, before leading you and Faye through the maze that is your guilds layout, eventually leading you to a group of rooms, each being a somewhat large room that are lower than the outside connecting area. The center has some large cork, most likely to hold water, while there are two wooden panels with ropes attached that must control the water, one with a red wooden tag hanging from the rope, and another with a blue. There are a few steps carved into the stone into the empty pool.

“So do we get separate rooms or…”

Alice tilts her head. “What do you mean Luka?”

“Well I’m a guy and you two are girls so I just-“

“So? What’s gonna be different then us being wet?”

Right, Pokemon don’t normally wear clothes so they don’t have a reason to worry about mixed bathing. Doesn’t make you feel much better though with your human sensibilities. You were able to ignore nudity because of your fur, but now you are beginning to feel as naked as you are.

“Well it’s just...”
“Besides, you said you would help clean us.” Surprisingly it was Faye who cut in. She is somewhat more nervous about the whole thing, probably more about the touching than nudity. She probably has more human sensibilities from all those human books she read. “Yeah!” Alice agrees, sounding more confident about that then she looks. Ok so touching is more of a concern to them than nudity. Fair enough.

You just deflate in defeat, its not sexual at all. You are just helping clean them. Alice probably needs help with reaching her back and tail anyway. Faye probably doesn’t need help, but you did say you would. Fuck, this is going to be awkward isn’t it. Just… just pretend it isn’t and it won’t be. Don’t spew spaghetti, and for the love of god don’t spew it ‘for real’. Hopefully Bella isn’t around.

“Okay. I’ll stay.” You relent.

“So how do we get the water into the pool?” You ask.

“Easy, pull the blue rope for cold water, and the red rope for hot.”

“And the soap?”

Alice looks at you confused “Soap?”

Right they probably don’t have that yet. Wait, could you make some money off some human inventions if you could remember them? This might need some looking into.

“Nevermind, let’s just get the water.”

“Make sure its nice and hot!” Alice shouts excitedly.

“I’d prefer it colder…” Faye speaks up a bit, possibly having second thoughts about the whole thing. Too late for that Faye, it is far too late now.

It might just be a good idea to make the bath a somewhat average temperature, so you yank on both of the ropes, pulling both of the panels all the way down to an open position. This lets out two torrents of water, much more than you were expecting to blast you in the face and send you onto your ass as the torrent continues.

If you could hear your team they’d probably be giggling at your misfortune, but for now you probably should try and slow down the water flow before it floods the room and leaks out. You begin to force yourself against the blast of water and move toward where you believe is their source. You can’t even open your eyes as the water rains down upon you. You quickly feel the panels and begin to close them. Soon the torrent is changed to a more manageable stream of water. Turning to the room you watch as the water slowly rises and wait to see any objections to the mixed temperature. Seeing none you let the flow continue to an acceptable level and close it off.

Water is lukewarm at best, as far as you could tell with your weather scarf on, and it’s not as comfortable for everyone as it could be, but this is more about cleaning mud off than comfort. Yup mud, nothing else, no other connotation to this other than cleanliness.

Everyone settles into the waters neutral temperature rather quickly, although Alice does seem to be a bit less comfortable, but that is more likely due to the fact its water and she is a fire type than anything else. At least it is manageable.

Alice just begins to let herself soak as you motion Faye to come over to you, questioningly at first before it slowly begins to dawn on her what you intend to do. What you outright said you would do earlier. You bring over a nearby wooden bucket, most likely used to pour water on yourself or others.

“Do you want me to help with your front or your back?”

She can barely form words, so she simply turns around and lowers herself into the water, leaving you to begin to scrub some of the dried mud and grime off her back. Initially she tenses at your touch but relaxes as you continue to wash her back with your paws, occasionally taking a break to lightly pour some water from the bucket onto her.

Once finished all that remains is her front, unfortunately you are a bit too flustered to ask her to turn around.

“Hey- uh- Alice? Could you uh… turn around? I need to do your… you know… I need to do your front now…” Hey you got it out without spewing pasta from your every orifice. That training with Faye did help!

She doesn’t say a word, but silently turns around. You can make out her a portion of her flushing face underneath her helmet. She seems to have been silently playing around with her fingers, possibly trying to distract herself from this awk- no. This is not awkward, it is not awkward unless you make it awkward.

You begin to wipe the mud from her helmet, using the bucket to wash away any remnants of the muck before moving lower. You keep your body a decent distance, while you were fairly clean from that blast of water you still have a large amount of mud and dirt stuck in your fur. Running you paws thoroughly down her body you make sure there is no mud left on her person. She shudders a bit as you paws run across her body, but other than that the cleaning goes over without much incident. Except the heat you feel on your face, thankfully covered by your fur.

“T- thanks Luka, if you it would be satisfactory for you- I uh, could help you…” She hesitates, looking for a way to put it. “Get the mud out of your fur.”

“Uh-“

“Hey Luka!” Alice makes herself known once again “You gonna help me too?”

Faye nods still flushed, but follows you with the bucket towards Alice. Reaching Alice you lightly push her body deeper into the water, leaving only her head sticking out, before you begin trying to get the dirt out of her fur. Faye removes your weather scarf, probably trying to get it out of the way. You shiver as the effects dissipate leaving your body venerable to Faye’s cold fingers rubbing your back. Quickly shaking off the feeling of goose bumps, you focus your effort on cleaning Alice.

You dump a bit of water on her head start working on its top and her ears, she doesn’t like the water, but neither does she mind your paws rubbing her head and ears. She even seems to slump in disappointment as you finish cleaning her noggin. You are about to move onto her tail before your body goes stiff as a freezing hand grabs your own tail.

“Luka are you okay?” Faye voices her concern for your reaction “Should I have not touched there?”

“No, its fine. I’m fine.”

You had honestly forgotten that was there. It was so… indescribable, feeling something with a body part you had never had before. Sure you never had paws, but hands and arms were close enough for you just to ignore it. This, this was just an entirely new thing jutting out of your body, and it felt… unnatural. This was definitely not the body you were supposed to have.

Ignoring the feeling of Faye washing your tail you restart your task of going for Alice’s own tail. So much for taking your mind off tails… You wonder if yours acted strangely compared to everyone else’s. You never really thought about it and you don’t know if it just hung there while you did your thing. You know some animals showed what they were thinking with their tails, did yours show what you were feeling? Did it even emote with you? You… You need your body back, the more you think about it the less right this body feels…

Once Alice is finished she quickly exits the water, not really surprising. Faye looks like she wants to ask you something, but is too flustered and flees through a nearby wall, leaving you to soak in this skin that wasn’t yours. You stared at your tail for what felt like hours, not really even believing it is there. Maybe you should try to remember again tonight...
