>Information

This quest takes place long before the events of The Last Airbender. Long before Aang, Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk, or Yangchen. You play as a young Earthbender from a small village in one of the many Kingdoms scattered across the main continent. As a powerful villain strives to dominate the world, you will be forced to make choices that can stop it, aid it, or have no effect whatsoever.

>Rules

After each update I make, there will be a voting period of ten minutes. Once ten minutes have passed, whatever option has the most support will be the winner.

Write-ins are accepted, but only when specified If you see a write-in option, suggest whatever you like. If not, choose from the options I have provided.

Sometimes, rolls will be required. I will assign them, and they will operate under a d100 system. You will have three chances, and if one of the rolls succeeds, you pass. There are no crits, but I do take into account how much you succeed or fail by.

I reserve the right to veto certain write-ins, but will try to avoid doing so.

I hope you all have fun

As the guards come running, you create a pit right in front of them. One hapless man doesn't stop in time, and screams as he falls forward into the pit, while the others stop dead in their tracks.

Lantana creates a second pit, this one right beneath the survivors, who join their friend in the darkness.

"Let's keep going," Lantana says, creating a bridge over the pit and rushing forward.

"Look out!" Sansha shouts, and Lantana leaps just in time to avoid a sword from skewering her.

The weapon clatters uselessly to the ground, but laughter comes from up the stairs.

Your blood boils. You know that laugh.

Slowly strolling down the stairs is the woman that helped kill Gava, and that nearly killed you and Sansha.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs, she grins devilishly, drawing her other blade and readying herself for battle.

"Do you have any idea how predictable you people are?" she questions, sounding both amused and somewhat disappointed.

>A. You were going to ask her the same thing

You really aren't in the mood to mince words with this woman. She's caused a great deal of trouble for you and your friends, so you want to deal with her as quickly and permanently as you can.

She's been tricky before, so maybe you should take a page from her book and let her have a taste of her own medicine.

The battle begins with you making a feint, giving the appearance that you'll create a pit beneath the woman. The goal is to have her launch herself toward you and your friends, allowing you to skewer her with your sword or some sharp stone. But, she doesn't react in the way you'd hoped. Instead, she simply moves to the side, and creates a pit of her own, right beneath your feet.

Crying out in surprise, you begin to fall into darkness, frantically reaching toward the walls of the hole. Your fingers find what they're looking for, and with a bit of quick bending, you're able to create grooves in which to dick your fingers, stopping your fall and allowing you the chance to bring yourself back up.

When you return to the surface, you find your friends already in battle with the woman. Lantana attacks with powerful gusts of wind each time the woman attempts an attack, and Huo throws her further off-balance with his Firebending. Sansha slowly closes in, waiting for the right moment to make a killing strike against the Hunter.

You frown when you see dust suddenly fall toward Sansha, and raise your head to see what's happening. It's then that you see a massive chunk of the ceiling collapse, coming down to crush your friend.

>A. Stop it with your bending!

>C. Move the ground beneath Sansha's feet and get her out of the way

You quickly move your hands toward the chunk of celing, stopping it from crushing your friend. Sansha looks toward you, then glances up, gasping when she sees the massive stone that nearly ended her life.

As Sansha rushes to get out from beneath the collapses ceiling, you see a portion of the floor being ripped up. It's hurled your way, but you manage to stop it before it can reach you, throwing it back in the direction from which it came.

Given that the woman is currently being overwhelmed by combined attacks from Lantana and Huo, you suspect she's not the one responsible. That would mean that there's another enemy about.

If you can't find this new enemy, he's going to be an even bigger threat. The others can handle that bitch, so you focus yourself on searching for whomever else has just shown up.

At first, the flashes of light and loud noise of your friends fighting keeps you too distracted to conduct a thorough search, but by chance, you happen to spot a figure retreating into one of the nearby rooms.

You can't make out any features, only that he's male.

"Sansha, with me!" you shout at the top of your lungs, rushing in pursuit of the attacker.

The girl disengages from her battle and rushes after you, clutching her sword tightly as she quickly catches up, rushing by your side into the next room.

As the two of you cross the threshold, you're greeted by the sight of a large chunk of stone heading right for your faces. Sansha grabs you, throwing both of you to the ground and allowing it to fly harmlessly over your heads.

A loud crash follows, but not from the rock crashing in the next room, which happens a second or two later, but rather from in front of you. As you and Sansha stand back up, you find that the room has been cut in half by a large pit.

Sansha eyes it apprehensively.

Unsure of what's got Sansha so frightened, you approach the pit, which divides the room right down the middle, creating a sizable obstacle to pass for any hoping to advance.

You hear nothing as you approach, save quiet, frightened noises from Sansha, and soon find yourself standing at the edge of the abyss. You look down into the darkness, seeing no signs of anybody.

That is, until a massive chunk of rock shoots up, heading right for your face.

You try to pull back your head, but it's just too late, the boulder slams into your face with such force that your neck is broken, and you fall back, dead before you even hit the ground.

But fear not, because Lantana would go on to defeat Kalana. She, Huo, and Mauya would survive, though Sansha would not live to see their victory.

If you're wondering how it all happened, you'll just have to keep wondering, because you never got to see it.

Ain't that a bitch?

I'm curious how this came to be. Was it really just bad rolls or were we basically fucked the moment we decided to separate from the group? Was there ever a right thing to do?

I'm still curious about what led us here. Was there a specific death knell? A specific decision that you didn't like? Or maybe you became dissatisfied with the decisions of the players? Or perhaps you just got bored?

So did we just get killed by some random earthbender? Or was it at least someone with a name or slightly more important than just the normal guards that we had killed throngs of.

One of the Hunters

Perhaps gang banged in prison before dying of new horrible stds .

Still have the balls to give lantana the win, fuck, what a shitty avatar

Your dad is alive
>>
>>1144754
well thanks for explaning that, would have been nice to get that in the epilogue instead of you trolling everyone with a paragraph.
>>
Ah well, I had fun Som, thanks for running for so long.

NO ACTUALLY I'M PRETTY PISSED!

I STILL LOVE YOU SOM BUT WHYYYYYYYYYY?!
>>

Who cares if you were emotionally invested in the characters and story, let's just take a rock to the face and call it quits.
>>
>>1144820
Sounds good

>>1144812
Because I love you

>>1144801
No problem
>>

Thanks for at least giving Latana the victory.

How did Mauya handled our death?

I'm guessing Sansha just went completely catatonic and squashed?

Do you plan on doing a write up of how the fight between Latana/Mauya/Huo and Kalana went?

She was absolutely devastated

Yes

No

You should have ended it when everyone wanted to a while back and you ended the session to cool everyone off instead of dragging it out like this.
>>
Som, this ending wasn't very gneiss. I feel we've hit rock bottom here.
>>
See we should just have kept going solo. To be fair I kind of stoped caring the moment anons did a 180 and decided that they wanted to return.
Fun thing is I wanted to vote nobody on the question with whom will Sei end up.
>>
D. Report Him to Koh, The Facestealer
>>
damn Som, got to it before we could... but never forget, we're always watching you

Another one bites the dust. This shit is hilarious.

You ever think these your players will ever wise up or are they so masochistic that they'll keep playing your quests even after every trap option, soulless characters, and bad ends?
>>
Well good thing this sadistic quest finally ended.
>>
oh yeah, did the party find seis books and loved them? Shit get published? Lantana probably killed off all the hunters right?
>>
Really? Have you ended an Avatar quest well once? And has Tofoo, suplexed anyone recently?
>>
With a roll like that, boy our books got burned and desecrated.
>>
>not doing an epilouge where Latana or Mauya finish writing our book describing how they defeated Kalana
>Not ending it with in loving memory of Sei, and all the other firend we lost along the way

You could have done better Somnius.
>>
Quality is shit enough on /qst/ without our active QM's coping out on endings and players just going through the motions after an unfortunate arc, everyone has to do our best to improve the quality of this board and individual quests involved.

Part of the problem is running quests in the middle of the week during lull hours, the time when you are most likely to get just the barebones copypasted responses to story posts without any real player innovation.
>>
I don't accept this ending because it was obviously a cop out.
>>
People still play som quests? This is like the 5th shit I just don't want to QM anymore quest ending

Glad I'm not alone
