Character Sheet (Renexizious Only!): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xgNKMzLUZS9L05DUCxmsvuYs-bGPIRpQsFv5k7oaBBk

Sorry about being dead, I had tons of work to do, now I should be good for a few weeks.

Last time on EDQ, Pragius and Claw were about to fight Vlad after taking care of most of the city, with Renexizious disappearing for a bit...

However, I think it's a good time to shift PoV's to another character. Charlemagne, to be specific.

Meanwhile, in Vietnam...

The candlelight near you flickers a bit as you look over some notes in your tent you've set up earlier... When the men started to complain about the heat, insects, that sort of thing...

So far your journey has been slow... You've been under Vietcong ambushes, not to mention avoiding traps, minefields, and other things... Though you have forgotten the biggest enemy of all... Disease and morale. You haven't been spared from this either... Getting rashes, joint pain, and a slight fever. However, you seem to be rather lucky compared to most of your men... Some of which have been diagnosed with malaria, the others with similar symptoms to yours... The more unlucky soldiers, so far seven have contracted severe infection from spike traps filled with... Well, what you would assume to be human excrement. They're unlikely to survive for another day or two at this point.

Your notes mostly have been about how long the march is going, and you can't help but worry if you'll make it or not. Disease is already a problem, and from a few Vietcong captives, the north has plenty of dangerous animals... Not to mention a recent outbreak of rabies in the area.
You put those notes to the side and take a look at the scouting notes... Mostly the standard few farms nearby, and the only thing of note is a long-abandoned ancient temple in the jungle which the locals still go to.

You sigh, and put the scouting notes to the side, your arm spiking up with pain... God, when will you get out of this shithole...

That's when you get reminded of the final report... The morale. You of course pick up the last report, and read through it...

It doesn't really surprise you, honestly. Most of the humans are discouraged, undetermined, and of questionable loyalty at this point due to events back home... Though you do find desertion is a bit down from last week. A mere twenty-two compared to the last thirty...

Something just tells you that you aren't going to make it if you don't deal with these problems.

Actions

>...Try to figure out a way to restore the men's morale...

How long has Charlemagne been in Vietnam now? It has to be at least a month.
>>
>>1139904
We have supply lines right?
I'm thinking we can have Ren send people to air-drop medicine and other useful supplies

Vietnam might also be a useful testing grounds for the lupis mortem.

Also we could benefit by sending julius to help charlemagne wrap this up if not outright take over.

He might be better for this.

>>1140005
They are enhanced yeah but I don'y think we improved disease resistance.

>>1140016
We could just give him command of our personal divisions and possibly send them along side some experimental drugs. E,g malaria suppressants, vaccines, pain killers and sleep suppressants.

I also feel this may be the time to consider developing and then deploying...prototypes; helicopters, napalm, WP, night vision gear and our combat drug.
>>
Back anons.

>>1140005
Yes, but keep in mind they can still contract diseases and have low morale.

You decide to deal with the disease problem, and morale...

You decide to start with disease...

You have a few ideas... There's a few Catholic missions around Vietnam some of your sick soldiers could stay at, and no doubt receive medical help from the clergy, though it would slow you down for a minute... But the soldiers would be off your hands and no doubt well-taken care of in a house of God.
Alternatively, you could send the more severe and sick soldiers back home, they'll be off your hands and safe, but medical care on your ships aren't exactly the best...
Finally, you could see about going to local Vietnamese villages to see if they have any suppressants or herbal remedies to help your sick soldiers in the field.

Actions

>Find a mission for your soldiers!
>Go to a nearby village!
>Try to send your sick soldiers back to the ships offshore!
>...Maybe you can give your dad a call. Maybe he's home or something.
>...You have some other ideas...

>Find a mission for your soldiers!

Chances are the mission will have knowledge of any local remedies or at least will be able to get them from the local villagers.

Not to mention they will provide potentially important knowledge about the area; where the best roads, biggest villages and such are.

Plus, if they are anything like real missions, they will have been built with some degree of defensive design. At the very least they stone buildings are better than our tents when it comes to resisting gunfire and shells.
>>
You decide to find a nearby mission for your soldiers to rest up at... Though it will take a bit.

Roll me a 1d20+5 to see if you can find a suitable mission!

+2 if you can think of a way to show your piety to the mission as you approach!
+3 if you can think of a way to treat the malaria among your soldiers... At least making them more comfortable.
+2 if you can think of a way to lessen the pain and fever from whatever has afflicted you.

Quote the bible at them, specifically any sections referring to opening your home to strangers or helping the sick.

Give them additional water rations, access to pain killers, the right to act in a non-soldierly manner and see about having them moved in the more comfortable vehicles.

Alcohol and pain killers.
>>
14+12=26

Good Success!

You find a nearby French mission, and begin to ask for your soldier's refuge... After a bit of religious talk and debate, the priest inside lets your soldiers stay and promises to take care of them. A few of the soldiers seem a bit more relaxed being in a house of God.
With that done, you move onto actually getting your soldiers morale up... Which gives you an idea...

If we stop now, our nation's name will be a laughing stock; our great armed forces defeated by some backwards farmers! Think of your country! Think of your family! What would they think of you if you return defeated by such a weak foe?"

Do it if not for yourselves but for your children! That they might grow up proud of their ancestors, nation and race! Not hating all about themselves for being born to such a weak and un-courageous people.
Stand tall and preferably on a box. Height makes people listen to you.

Rolled 20 + 5 (1d20 + 5)

Can we throw in some stuff about god as well? Charlemagne is a devout Christian.
>>
Critical Success!

You give a rousing speech about the glory of God, of Sweden, and what their people would think of them if they returned home defeated... This is such a rousing speech, that many of the men, even the sick ones, give you a rousing cheer and salute, eager to fight once again... Not to mention seeming to be even more loyal to you then before, and a bit zealous... They even parade and carry you back to your tent!

Your men begin to spread word of your speech while you retire to rest for a bit... And to drink some alcohol to numb some of the pain.

Meanwhile, in Hungary, as Pragius...

The remaining few defenders flee at your righteous battling, as you crush their machine guns and defenses with your feet or blade! It isn't too long until Vlad himself came out, curious of your destruction... You do notice however with your amazing vision that his body seems to be... Strange, so to speak. Not walking right over cobblestone and rubble...

Hm... He doesn't smell either. Usually vampires smell of the dead!

"What the hell are you doing on my lands to my soldiers? Do you know who you are dealing with?" The Moldavian says aloud at you, storming out of his palace...

He seems to be talking to you, and rather unafraid of you.

"Not to mention, what are you and your... Slimey friend?"

Claw seems eager to pounce already.

Oh and so I don't forget.
We should start studying necromancy, summoning, and enchantment.

To help us take over the world.
>>
>>1140682
What about empowering the Roman Gods so they can aid us
>>
>>1140700
But magic is getting stronger over time.
desu magic is a good long term investment.
Plus magic is faster for dealing with our lack of manpower.

Eventually our dimension could be as high magic as D&D.

Gods aren't that OP.
They are minor buffs to get on the side.
Don't really seem like the main solution to all our problems.
>>
>>1140706
The God's can do a lot of powerful stuff like sinking Atlantis and since the world is growing in Magic, they could probably do that on a grander scale. Also we did make a promise to Jupiter that we would help him at least and we have more followers then even he does since we've been negligent.
>>
>>1140723
Ofc I plan to get the gods more followers.

Also it should be noted as our dimension grows in magic the odds of mages being able to get closer to the gods in terms of power increases.

Because astral energy /=/ magical energy.

The reason the gods in D&D verse are stronger is due to the technology level of the time

As khorne put it "Sending our dimension back to the dark ages would make our gods stronger" this has to do with the religous apathy our world is gaining.
Hell chances are the religous apathy is only going to get worse as our technology gets stronger.

So I'm not sure if the gods are going to get that much stronger because technological innovation will increase apathy.
>>
>>1140732
The way that I see it is that the world is becoming more fantasy like and if some gods have enough followers then they will interact in the world much more. Divine intervention will become more common but our Gods need more followers so they can intervene in ways that benefit us.

Also I don't see the increase of technology as the decrease of religion. Look at the IoM for example.
>>
>>1140744
>IoM
Don't know what that is.

And I guess it depends on whether magic increases faster than the secularization of the world and the slow dying of belief in the supernatural and some such causes apathy and disbelief in anything paranormal.

Also I'm still gonna say that just studying magic would be faster.

We can do that in one month.
While spreading religion enough for it to be effective would take many months to a few years.

It'll be 2 years before latin gains any influence and spreading the religion will be difficult as well.

It would help if our people weren't so conservative so we should probably make our schools more liberal, open, multicultural as well.

We should also open our borders
>>
>>1140762
IoM is an abbreviation of Imperium of Man.

Also changing the religion of our people isn't that hard. While a Pagan religion will be harder to spread, we did turn Protestant Sweden in a somewhat Catholic nation (I don't remember how catholic it was at its height) and after that we turned Draconic-Catholicism from 0% to something like 30% of the population relatively easily.
>>
>>1140784
That was in civ mode.
Where each turn is a month of time.
We can do religious conversion when we get back into civ mode.

After doing stat grinds and skill grinds.
Because we're starting to hit some walls.
And mind you that's in sweden.
The amount of astral energy the roman panth would get from just sweden would be very small.

Also our control in sweden is much higher than literally everywhere else
Like finland

Also the God Emperor was fucking ridiculous.
>>
You decide to hear him out...

"Now, I see that you've been quite foolish to trespass on my territory. Now, I would question why, but I've learned everything I really need to know already... And I would ask your slimy... Wolf thing, to put down my men. Or whatever."

"I cannot order him to do that. What do you want?"

"Well, the standard fair. Leave me and my country alone, before I need to get nasty."

"I see. That is all?"

"Well, also pay me for damages, of course. After all, you have damaged my city... Though I am sure you can pay for the damages."

He seems rather confident and a bit cocky. He seems sure that he's in control of the situation.

"You'll have to speak to my liege lord then, Vlad!"

You bring your sword down... And crush him.
You bring up the sword... Only to see Vlad still standing there, looking at his nails.

"Is that all? Do you really think me stupid enough to reveal myself in broad daylight with two incredibly deadly creatures?"

Damn.

"...So you are not real?"

"Of course not, I'm an illusion. Now, tell me... If your so eager to kill me, why shouldn't I be so eager to kill you?"

You can't help but muffle a laugh.

"You? You could barely even touch me."

"Really now? That's an interesting theory. If you want to, keep on bashing the Lord of the Undead. Alternatively, you could take my message, and leave with you, your friend, and your dragon friend... I must say, his mind is rather chaotic."

"Mind?"

"...Let's just say being a very powerful vampire who can take control of the undead at will is a very, very powerful feat..." He gives you a smile, and you feel a bit confused.

Actions

Think of butter, think of lots and lots of butter. Most certainly don't think about how to kill this man or make him regret living like by throwing him to our genetic abomination...

Chrysoula is making herself some armour, maybe we can make them all a lovely enchanted set built like a tank, so that they can't get hurt. Seriously though we shouldn't have taken any of them to an active war zone no matter how useful they may be.

Ren is, as previously shown in quest, quite a nice guy...behind the bravado and history he has accumulated that is. He can't behave the way he wants to in public because he doesn't think it is appropriate or wise to do so; to be good, to be lawful, to be approachable or human in behaviour would be weakness or would be...strange.

This probably comes from how he pictures dragons should act based off of myth and legend not to mention the limited impressions given by our family.

It is given need in reality thanks to the fact we rule by a Iron fist in a silk glove; a somewhat legitimate rule reinforced, by force. We can't be seen as weak or the Germans, Americans, kobolds and our vassals would all revolt or declare war.

Thus, his family are the only people he can act that way around, if even that many people. His wives are his relief from this act to some degree, they let him be honest and not constantly act like some evil overlord (although that isn't entirely inaccurate to some of his character...) but rather as a being with romantic, physical and personal needs beyond that provided by others.

So when someone threatens these people, who are worth literally and figuratively more than their weight in gold to him. He gets very angry.

Great Success!

You try to think calming thoughts. Butter. Plenty of butter. Tons of butter... Maybe just a little impalement of this Vlad character...

You then turn to thinking on trying to protect your wives in the future, which does in fact calm you down by quite a bit...

After a bit, you calm down enough to try and get shit done... You do remember that you delivered Frankizka to... Hm. Somesort of library, you think.

Alternatively... You can just hunt down Tepes... Though then again, Solaire would prefer to save Frankizka from whatever terrible fate awaits her... While Flames thinks she's probably fine and to beat the shit out of Vlad Tepes.

Khorne meanwhile, supports burning the city down. You try your very best to not agree with that.

Keep in mind whoever you go to take care of, Pragius and Claw will go after the other one, and they'll just roll a 1d20 for how well it goes.

You decide to go and find Frankizka...

You tell Pragius and Claw to find Vlad as you fly to try and find Frankizka's location, and after a bit you find the library you landed at... It seems a bit more... Shady and dilapidated, so to speak.

Of course, you think about how happy you are that your mom's coming, and you swear you hear your dad Jupiter mention something about a "mother's boy" or something.

Roll me a 1d20+6 to see how long it takes you to get through this lock.

Borderline Success!

It takes you a rather long time, but eventually the number 999 seems to work. Huh.

The door very, very slowly opens, and you feel comfortable... It seems to be a sort of freezer.

Why the fuck is a freezer in a library?

You see that many of the shelves are filled with... Ice Cream. That's rather strange. Most of the ice cream ranges from raspberry to chocolate to butterscotch... Delicious butterscotch. Oh, and mint. Just in case you wanted some nice breath.

You just shake your head at the frozen temptations and continue on through the freezer... After a bit you find footprints where a pipe burst at... It seems to be Frankizka's shoes... She's probably freezing down here... Eventually you follow it to a metal door, which is so cold that it's frozen shut...

Actions

We have like seven different spells that either heat things up or break them open not to mention raw strength. We can open this given time or we can just shape shift and burrow around it...
>>
>>1143235
>We need money
That should not be a problem for us.
We can grind our cooking skill with our mother.
We can use our alchemy skill to make tea and out Brit the Brits.
In general we have a plethora of ways to make money.

And then we can afford support staff.

Then alchemists and enchanters shouldn't be hard.
We don't need too many more scientists.
And I'm sure we can get engineers.
>>1143243
This.

>>
>>1143271
The point of the support staff is to be able to go "There's a some-what functional design, go fix any bugs with it and come back later" so we can focus on actually innovating; lasers, Gauss, rail, crystal-power, nuclear, etc.

We need the money though, to improve our research facilities, to begin massive modernisation of infrastructure, to do space stuff, to modernise our armies and navy. Not to mention for improving our palace.
>>

Yeah I know.
We have a massive amount of ways to make money.

And yeah I know why we might want extra scientist.
But I should mention that

And
B:We would need to up our counter espionage and basically form a centralized intelligence agency so as to avoid leaks.

We've been ignoring espionage a bit too hard.

Does the environmental rune also affect the properties of the enchanted item to withstand the heat?
If so we can use the rune and set it to lava temperature.

After a bit of that the lock will be easy af to break.

Butterscotch is pretty good for ice cream. Buttered breads are wonderful. buttered ice cream. Ya know she could teach us to cook better so we can make our own buttered foods.

You decide to take the simple and fast route, and use your acidic salivia on the door... The door melts quickly, and you go through the door while you mention that your mom is far superior to any other mom...

Hm.

There seems to be a hatch heading down on closer examination, so you open it up and begin to descend... After a bit, you feel quite warm and find yourself in a furnished room, with a rather nervous guard closely watching the TV, which seems to have Pragius on.

"It's hard to keep cool with you faggots pissing me off, and you really should of stayed frosty, because I'm putting you on ice!"

You let loose your frost flash and ice aura, freezing most if not all of the entire room, making it much more comfortable to be in...

He turns around, confused... And you cast your ice lance, killing him instantly by freezing him solid.

You hear something talk in the next room... Sounding like Frankizka. You go up to one of the doors which has a slit to see through, and see Frankizka in a rather nice bedroom... You decide to fly home, and everyone really does seem happy with this. Frankizka's just grateful to be out and with you, and you begin to fly back home.

Eventually, you see Stockholm, and it seems Frankizka fell asleep on your head. Man, being a huge fucking dragon really does help reassure people of not falling off and dying when the nearest "place to fall down" is far, far away, not to mention your rather well-made spinal structure...

After a bit, you land, shapeshift, and catch Frankizka in the air, and tell the guys to basically fuck off while you relax and get some anger out.

You head inside and see Deven watching TV, one of your American Westerns, and eating a large tub of popcorn, while you put Frankizka downstairs in an armchair, and wrap her up in a blanket.

Aw.

So cute.

You head back up, and see a happy Elizabeth smiling at you.

"Hey Ren. It's nice to see you back."

"Yep. Did you miss m-"

"Of course... Oh, by the way... While you were gone, I made a list of things to do."

You look at the list... The important stuff, really.

"So... The police are asking for higher pay in a petition... Another missing Russian village... Probably killed by Dragonbears or something..."

"Did you read about the doctor part?"

"Hm?"

It seems a large problem seems to be that your upper middle-class is rather unhappy... Being engineers, electricians, doctors... Almost entirely human and male fields.

Hm.

"Thanks Liz."

She gives you a kiss.

"Could you please look over the more minor stuff though? If you could do that, it would mean a lot to me."

"Really? Well, what is it?"

"...The usual. Get Deven to go outside, stop getting popcorn all over the couch, get Aulus to brush his teeth... Attend one of Renexizia's tea parties with her friends... What else... Oh, and finally, could you do me a personal favor?"

"What?"

"...Well... I need to make a trip back to England and talk to the mayor of London about some property damage... Then I have to go to parliament... Oh, and finally talk to my younger brother..."

"You want me to go?"

"Well... I was wondering if you could take care of the kids for a day. Either tomorrow or the day afterwards, ok? I'm sorry to put this all on you, but I really do need someone to cover for me..." She seems to be quite apologetic about bringing this up last minute.

"Oh, right, right... But really, it's important you stay fit! Your mom worries about you. And your mom worrying is bad for health and my health too."

"I'm fine dad..."

"Come on. Getting fit can be fun! Just seeing how much progress you've made is a great experience and there's nothing like out-lifting someone else!'

He sighs.

"Son, your a red dragon. A being literally out of fiction, myth, and legend... Can you at least try and have some interest in the family tradition of looting, slavery, and ruling? I mean, I'm not asking you to go out and conquer a kingdom, just come with me for the occasional trip to Cuba or something and we'll call it even, ok?"

Eh. There was just a very long delay.

Approach her from behind and gently play with her body.
You look so very great, Liz. You know how you would look even better? Doing some exercise with me.

Why don't you just wear one of these tight-fitting sports tops, which sticks to your body so well?

We rarely spend any time as a family. Why not do something fun together and do a little work-out? It would be good for Deven's weight, too. You don't want him to get sick from his weight, right? Diabetes, Heart diseases....

If this goes well, we might just do this again. Just the two of us, spending some couple-time.
>>
You go up behind Elizabeth, and gently play with her nice, smooth body.

"Ren? I'm erh, trying to pack here..." She gives a bit of a embarrassed laugh at the end.

"You look great Liz... But how would you like to look even better? You know. Doing some exercise with me, wearing a tight-fitting sports top... Which of course sticks to your body so well... I mean, we rarely spend any time as a family. Why not do something fun together and do a little work-out? It would be good for Deven's weight, too. "Well, if this goes well, we might just do this again. Just the two of us, spending some couple-time together..."

"W-well... Why don't I get ready to go, ok? I erh... I don't see the harm in some exercise..."

You give her a gentle kiss on the cheek and go outside to wait for her...

You hear her fussing about inside, trying to find a proper-fitting exercise shirt, while you wait with Deven. He seems a bit annoyed at this whole thing of going outside.

"Thank you... Erh, have you seen my bra?"

"Well..."

You help Elizabeth get dressed... Making sure to lustfully help her in. As in fondle her just a bit.

"You know, you should really help me more often. It really does help out a lot. Besides, I really do love having you around, Ren."

She nuzzles you, and you nuzzle her a bit, and kiss her right on the nose.

"Come on, let's not keep Deven waiting, ok?"

The two of you go out, and see Deven waiting, bored.

"Come on, I'll show you how to properly exercise, got it?"

He lets out a sigh, and you ignore it, and walk outside with Liz... You decide to start a quick jog around the block. Hopefully Deven can keep up...

Elizabeth seems to want to hold hands, and is quite a bit slower than you... That sort of thing... Which actually makes it a bit hard to jog.

Look to draw from the nationalists, by looking specifically to hire from within our nation / our vassals and requiring that they can speak a language we know.

Look for either a werewolf, dwarf or draconian. To attract them specify that food and drink (including alcohol) will be payed for, that buying additional food from any businesses (like say, the fast food industry which is popular with two of these races...) will be discounted since they work for the government.

The armour should use a multitude of materials; from our interactions with the Kobolds we found out about how they make their armour and I can't remember which metal it was they used. It was however apparently lighter than steel and just as effective. It would be wise to inquire with them to purchase the alloy mixture and possibly a sample of the armour. This material should then be used to produce all of the plate portions of the armour; helmet, chest-piece, leg and arm plates for example.

Alternatively we could use composites and ceramics to create something which would be resilient to heat and most other forms of attack. At the cost of being far heavier, more experimental and harder to create.

As to connecting these different sections of armour and forming the under-layer / uniform / clothes, we should look into some sort of fabric or polymer. Ideally something like Kevlar but with a greater resilience to heat and knifes.

The armour should look like a mix of the "Colonial marine" armour from Aliens and the armour of the human troops from "Halo". The following images for context;

http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/johnnyotgs/images/8/8b/Marine_Protagonist.png/revision/latest?cb=20120718001614
http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/halo/images/1/17/M52Bmarinearmor.png/revision/latest?cb=20090816014517
http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/halo/images/2/2c/MarineArmoredUniform.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20060731201041

It should also have a chest rig built onto it, with points on the shoulders of the chest piece to clip things onto (e,g a backpack). (Possibly even a battery and flashlight built into the armour?)

It should cover the entire chest, with the stomach and back being covered in multiple overlaying sections to avoid restricting movement. The rest of the armour is more or less dictated according to the provided images.

To make it weigh less, refer to my point about using the alloys the Kobolds developed to lighten certain sections. Failing that, reduce the thickness of the armour on the legs and arms since they contain no vital parts.

You decide to look into getting the strange alloy the Kobolds used for your troops...

You head to their embassy, which seems more decorated with red and purple banners of Rome, and you head inside. It seems that they've disabled their traps for the day, and you head to the embassy's clerk... You note that the floor seems to have remade and instead of the familiar ornate floorboards, they're using high-class marble with gemstones on the end of each brick, small enough to not get repetitive and ruin the smoothness of the marble, but large enough to flaunt their clear amount of wealth. No doubt intending to show off their wealth, which allures you... Even the secretary's desk has been made into fine ornate marble, laced with gold, with small engravings of eagles and bearing SPQR in large, gold letters on the front of the desk, and in smaller letters "secretary".

You put your hand on the desk, which seems to have been made to accompany human and above sized individuals.

"Hi. I'm looking to get into a meeting with the Legate Auraxius..."

"Ah, right... He'll see you when he's done with his meeting with the People's Beneficiarii."

You nod your head, and begin to go along the beautifully decorated marble floor, with new marble columns guiding your path to the office of the legate...

You wait outside of his office on a rather comfortable sofa, which seems to have some fresh grapes. Which prove to be rather delicious as you chew them one by one as your sensitive ears pick up talking from inside... Though the room seems to be delicately soundproofed, the door is a bit weak to hear from...

"The Party would disagree with that statement. It's my tail on the line if your men contract harmful ideals, and I am allowed to order a purge if they do, you know."

"Sir, your overreacting... The idea is harmless..."

"Besides the fact you had a dragon allowed to become a citizen? It's absolute madness!"

"It's the law."

"It's downright dissention, that's what it is! Of course, the upgrade to your embassy will not go without cost... We're having the Ministry of Imperial Art come in."

"Really? Is that necessary?"

"Of course! Who knows what ideas might flow forth from this place?"

You hear the legate give a sigh...

"What else?"

Top kek. I'll be posting more when I get home.

Critical Failure.

You accidently step on your tail, and trip, crashing through the door, crusing someone, shocking the legate... Your tail, in an act like revenge whips out, crashing and breaking a fountain and slapping the legate.

You heare muffled yelling below you, and a shocked and confused legate, a malovelent tail, a suffocating political officer, and a loud beep... That of an alarm.

Roll me a 1d20+5 for what happens next.

+3 if you can apologize to the legate.

"I apologize for the extensive damage my minor trip up has caused. Though I'm sure you can afford it, I mean, you are very well funded aren't you?"

You mutter "uppity servant race" under your breath, and you shift position and crush the political officer's leg with your heel... You hear him scream under your back in pain, only furthering his suffocation. You also promise to your tail some raiding soon... And you turn over to the Legate.

"Erh... Excuse me, but did you hear something? It sounded like a scream from beneath you."

You notice the men behind you seem a bit relieved and seem a bit entertained at the fact they were just called to deal with a broken door. They seem grateful to not actually have to fight anyone or anything.

Anon, stop. We have better objectives to take care of.

Like for example modernising our navy or solving the strife in our nation. Possibly absorbing some more vassals into our nation...
>>
>>1150170
What about making plant people. Cause ya know, that's totally also a pressing issue.
>>
>>1150170
>Getting more vassals
We can get clay later.
We improve our information network and learn how to stop mind control now.

Also summoning can probably give us cool water summons to add to our navy.

Ya know it seems none of our mages enter the military.
>>
>>1150179
>Making plant people
That's on the far backburner.

Like making fish people to colonize the ocean.
>>
>>1150180
Not getting more vassals, taking more direct control of the lands of our current vassals and eliminating redundant governments.
>>
>>1150193
Oh you mean annexation?
I'm totally behind that.
We also need to update greenland into an asset.
Currently it's just a drain.

I'm sure if we brainstorm more ideas to make money ontop of the ones previously mentioned we should never be short on cash again.
Should make our endeavors easier.
We should also plan to eventually deal with technology and robotics pushing out unskilled labor.
>>
>>1150201
I have plans for that, mostly inter-dimensional colonisation, war and extreme birth control.
>>
If we are talking about possible projects, I want to put out the idea of megaflora. We could tweak trees real quick and have stuff like California redwoods. It would probably please Faunus who we talked to a while back ago and how we're killing the environmental more then America.
>>
>>1150210
I know how to deal with the environmental problems, given our labour with replacing hydrocarbon power systems with crystal tech.

Alternatively we invest into building hydroelectric dams into every available location and just work to make our current stations more efficent.
>>
>>1150210
Oh yeah fauna was why I wanted to make plant people.
Also because I have a hording problem with our shapeshifting power.
>>1150209
Oh and another thing.
I wanted to add minotaurs to our school system so the next generation is less racist regarding non-humans and such.
>>
>>1150218
We also need to deal with the state of our farms.
Which is to say the treatment of animals in them.

Maybe we should increase the speed at which they grow?

We should also start buying up farm land and instituting hydroponics.
>>
>>1150218
It's perhaps less so about facing environmental issues and more about just doing a favor for Faunus. Although it would probably help the environment and have no negative consequences. Also giant forests like Endor are cool.
>>
>>1150221
That is a logical course of action. Honestly, so long as we have mixed classes and can solve the economic-race issue then this won't arise as a problem.

Admittedly the american government has failed to solve this problem while only trying to balance about two or three races, we have half a dozen or so. It does matter mind you that we haven't got any interest in keeping a voter base poor and loyal...
>>
>>1150233
True but if we wanted to do something like that then what we really should do is;

1) Start attempting to preserve endangered species of his choice.

2) Creating national parks / hunting free zones.

3) Regulating fishing to avoid stock depletion.

4) Lowering unadopted animals (e,g dogs, cats and such) levels.
>>
>>1150247
Become like Nazi Germany. Got it.
>>
>>1150233
Now this makes me wonder if we can pioneer new kinds of magic.
It should be possible and f so nature magic could be a thing.
I want ents.
>>1150235
I was thinking we also have the overextension issue regarding our military.
In general their opinion of us is poor.

We might find it useful to start making groups of non-human soldiers.
>>1150247
We can do all of that.

It might be nice to have someone micromanage that for us.
We could try and get maria to do it.
>>
>>1150254
Essentially, except we don't push the Danzig issue or try to take down four world powers plus their friends.
>>
I'll be back in a few minutes anons.

>>1150221
Didn't you say you wanted minotaur females specifically? Just to appeal to teenage minds?
>>
>>1150268
Us doing it would get us some good PR...
>>
>>1150268
I would want ents but then that would probably fuck over our logging industry which by the way, now that I think about it, would get a major boost from giant trees.
>>
>>1150275
OP I was memeing.
I'm not really serious about that.
Any well educated mino will do.
>>1150282
What the non-human soldiers thing?

Or the nature stuff?
>>
>>1150288
Ya know we could probably really help our nation by going far into the summoning tree.

Since it seems to extend to summoning useful creatures.

Plus nature magic in general would be useful.
And pioneering a new type of magic could make us famous.
If nature magic isn't a thing already and making new magic schools is a thing we can do.
>>
>>1150291
To be frank, both.
>>
>>1150306
Also we should go kill that genestealer.
And for updating the navy I came up with a side project we could do.

Submarine tours.
We can probably design a sub for use in tourism

He seems a bit nervous.

"It's a party in the Senate... Mostly in charge of the Ministry of Scholars, Art, Legions, and Surveillance... Most of their enemies end up with incriminating evidence coming out of the blue, so to speak..."

"So they're a major player?"

"Alongside the Union of Workers, yes... The Army typically follows their will to avoid... Being made examples out of, so to speak. They can't legally execute or arrest you, but since the Emperor answers to the Senate... And they support him..."

"They might as well rule?"

"Basically... I erh, try not to get involved in politics. That's mostly why I took this position, so I don't exactly have to deal with the Party... Who want the fame of "civilizing" the frontier, so to speak..."

"I see... So what's this ministry of art? It's propoganda, isn't it?"

"Well... They have a habit of portraying the Emperor as the most righteous kobold to ever exist or rule, that sort of thing... And have a thing with gold and defaming the Union."

"I see... So basically propaganda."

"Right... The Party isn't technically allowed to spy on citizens in private, but it seems like that might change in the Senate."

"Got it."

"...Well, they also of course legally own the military televisions, but the Union broadcasts on the civilian one..."

"Ah. What's on it?"

"...Mostly propaganda, that sort of thing. Of course, the Union does that too..."

"Ah."

"But anyways... Just don't say anything to anyone that we talked about this, alright?"

"Right."

"...But anyways, the Union and Party mostly get blocked by the Free Trade Union, which has bought all the senators... Which gives me a nice retirement fund, honestly."

"So they're bribing you?'

"Technically. But almost every politician and general is bought for. I mean, I can't really say no with the paycheck they're giving me."

"Don't you have an infinite economy?"

He scoffs a bit.

"...Well, in theory. But the mines run so deep now and are so full of noxious fumes that kobolds can't go in it... So we need slaves to mine for us. Every year we need more and more. Someday we'll run out... So they're paying me and others less and less every year. Hell, I can barely afford my villa at this point..."

"What, you surfacers don't worship the Lord and Saviour, Julius Caesar and the Holy Son, Augustus Caesar?" He seems a bit confused.

You neglect to mention the fact that Augustus isn't technically his son.

"Erh... Well... What's that all about?"

"Well, it's a rather stupid thing. There's the Ecclesiastical Church which preaches about a god literally called God... It's mentally deficient. Why would a god be just called God? It's stupid. They even dare say that some human died for our sins! If anything, that was clearly Julius Caesar, stabbed by the enemies from the inside of the Empire! You'd never know where your enemies are, if it wasn't for the Party... At least in the old days... Now the Party's trying to weasel in on my domain of my soldiers! It's madness... It was fine when they were trying to watch out for any filthy traitors or worse, but now it's madness..."

He gives a frustrated sigh.

"Not to mention the Union making it illegal for us to even mention RELIGION if your in a government position! It's like I have a choice between one extreme or the other! Next thing you know, they'll be weaseling in on where I put my villa's traps and gold treasury..."

He gives a sigh.

This is a very bad thing.
It seems that what the kobolds have is unsustainable. They're gonna keep expanding and this could cause tension involving other nations and war could break out.

>We're friends right legate? Allies? Buddies? This expansion can only be mutually beneficial.

Though it's not all bad.
If we do things right we can probably become strong enough to deal with them in less than a year

Besides even if they took over we can just wait 50 years then disappear to D&D dimension.

You give Chrysoula a kiss on the cheek.

"Well, I'm not so sure why you were nervous... I don't mind sleeping with you, I mean it's pretty comfortable... But anyways, did you know Liz grew a new head? I think you should really meet her, she's interested in meeting you."

"Really?"

"Yep..."

The breastplate would seem to be extremely mobile and protective, protecting the shoulders, groin, and the entire chest with flexible ceramic plates, comfortable thick silk, and forged together using lamination... Making the armor very comfortable even on a naked body, and flexible to fit most sizes... Save extreme sizes such as half-dragons and above, but an Orc could wear this without problem...

But you need to laminate it first, of course...

Roll me a 1d20+5 to see how well the lamination goes...

+3 if you can either come up with a way to add adhesives, heat, a lot of pressure, or a way to accurately weld the silk to the ceramic plate.

You decide to apply some thermoplastic technology, and decide to go with Polycarbonate plastic...

Of course, after the lamination, the silk and ceramic plates are molded together and are practically inseparable... You have a few ideas in improving it...

"Anyways Chrysoula, she was really interested in meeting you... I think she said you were cute. Or adorable, I'm not sure... But I mean, she seemed really interested. More than normally when she hears about meeting new people... Maybe she thinks the two of you can become good friends or something."

"O-oh, really? I mean, I never met her..."

"She certainly knows who you are..."

You decide to test the brestplate by putting it on, and you must admit, it feels just as comfortable as normal clothes and barely burdens your movements... Of course, that might be because you can lift up a bus, but it seems good...

You move onto the final layer, mostly making a helmet for your human troops...

But not the same color or insignia.

And do not think about that. Just not a good idea.

Good Success!

You make something similar to the Imperial Guard's helmets, but notably different in color and insignia...

After that, you decide to test out the armor and helmet, and you get your men to shoot at the armor a bit...

It seems that lower caliber ammo, such as anything below 12mm has a very low chance to penetrate the armor, but 12mm and above has a moderate chance... The armor is also extremely weak to weapons that cut through things, but is also slightly resistant to heat.

"So anyways, Chrysoula... I was thinking about renovating the palace again. Any comments, ideas, or opinions?"

"Well, I mean... Not that I can think of... Maybe a bedroom would be nice though..."

Hm.

After you head downstairs with Chrysoula, you hear a knock at the door.

"Ren? I got you some food." It seems to be Elizabeth.

"Really?"

"Of course... Did you want anything else?'

"Eh... No. But thank you for the dinner."

"I mean, of course... Oh! I also made sure to record the news. Something happened in Russia, I think. I was busy cooking, but you might want to see it when your not busy."

"Right, right..."

"Also, if Frankizka comes around to ask you if you want to sleep with her tonight, can you say no please?"

"Erh..."

"I know, it's prudish of me to say... But I just got into an argument with her and I was hoping you could help me open a safe I've had problems with..."

"Wait, the safe upstairs?"

"...Well, yeah." She seems a bit embarrased.

"You have problems opening it?"

"Well... I don't want to rip it off it's hinges... I mean, that might damage whatever's inside... Also I really did want to sleep with you tonight... It's special to me, ok?"

Actions

"Well, I do. I love both you and her."

"Well, if you ACTUALLY knew her, you'd know her to be a cold-hearted harlot who wants to sleep with my most valuable possession... My husband! She thinks I would part with you for even a second... Or even share you..." She growls loudly at the mere idea of giving you up. Though you do feel a bit flattered at being her most valuable treasure.

No.
I'm already thinking of how to retard khorne's influence.
We really need to start studying those portals.
>>
>>1151696
This, I like Khorne but we aren't going to make him stronger. Our dad on the other hand could use the support.
>>
>>1151698
Yeah I don't feel much for using the Gods for everything considering things.
But there is one thing I want jupiter and co to look into.

Putting blockers on that portal to keep the chaos out.
Then we can look into dismantling any influence khorne has.

Janus might be able to help.
We could probably get kids to like roman culture more if we use things like games and such to get them interested.
Along with opening their minds with a new education system it'd help.
>>
>>1151703
We are trying Latinise our country, which is for the best seeing as it will at the very least give a better start to our nation in future (less cultural division and a common language is always good).

However I do have reservations about trying to be "Romans" as their society had inherent flaws.

Fondly chrysoula. It helps us focus. Like a stress ball.

And stop thinking about chaos armor. It's evil. And edgy. that's julius tier. Do you want to be like julius?

And call down liz and ask if she can bring us coffee.

The shoulderpads for the armor can have spikes on it. And we can carve the imagery of a dragon on the chest with latin/draconic engraving underneath.
>>
>>1151713
As is traditional, have either the chest plate or the shoulder pieces be faces. Preferably Jupiter or a lion or something.

"Hey could you stand here for a moment, I am working on making a chest-piece and need a frame to look at and work from. Seeing as it is for a Minotaur body type you are ideal..."

It does look cool but dammit we can't exactly lead the army into combat while wearing that, since it will probably result in them going insane and our PR being fucked.

You have the chest plate portray a lion, with the shoulderpads portraying dragons, and having some spikes... Of course, you regret and are relieved for not using chaos armor... Too edgy in your opinion...

"Hey, Chrysoula? Can you stand here for a moment? I'm making a chest-piece and I need a frame to look at and work from... Seeing as it's for a minotaur body typ,e you are ideal..."

"Sure..."

You put your hands on her breasts... And begin to fondle them intensely... God, they feel great.

After a few minutes of fondling, you mutter something about it being good exercise...

"Ren? I think that's enough."

"Really?"

"Well... I mean..."

"...I really need this, ok? Just for my chest-piece..."

You give a final squeeze, and feel quite relaxed... The design is a bit sloppy and not too coherent... So you decide to try making the design coherent... Not before you get Elizabeth though, who's eager to see what your working on...

Roll me a 1d20+4 for making a coherent design which you can follow...

+3 if you can try to get Chrysoula to be alright with you fondling her breasts... (+1 if you can be a bit emotional about her wanting you to stop.)

"Besides, you all love it, me being physical with my love..."

Both of them are so embarrased they can barely say anythings as they leave, and they're practically glowing red... You decide to have light scalemail over the wings. Should protect easily.

"Right... I'll go see him."

You head down to the throne room, where you see the kobold legate waiting.

"Renexizious, we have a sort of problem."

"What?"

"Well, the Emperor of Rome's son, Julius Magna Konstantinious, Consul of Rome, Legate of the CXXI Legion of Hispania, has won a massive victory in the name of the Empire against the deep drow who have razed and pillaged a city of kobolds, leaving few alive and more enslaved in the depths... Due to this being nearby, he has requested his men have some leave and a parade to celebrate their victory over the Drow."

"What makes his victory so special?"

"It's his first victory in the field, sir. A massive achievement, especially against a foe so cunning and deceptive as the Drow."

Hm.

"Right... So what does he want?"

"Housing for his ten-thousand legionaries and his two-thousand slaves taken in battle, sir... Along with food and drink for three days... It will be rather expensive, as he expects celebrations in his honor, along with the citizen's gratitude."

"How expensive, and when?"

"He should arrive in a month.. And approximately at least twenty million if you want to only disappoint him slightly... Impressing him on the other hand could cost nearly eighty million, maybe even a hundred million."

I was just thinking but in case we ever get into a fight with the kobolds like because their empire collapses because their empire is completely unstable. Maybe it would help to have a personal regiment that's suited to fighting underground.

We could also make use of that with our super soldier serum that we still haven't tested on someone.
>>
>>1155707
We have tested it, we know precisely it's effectiveness and I do agree we should prepare for the Kobold empire falling apart.

My suggestions however would mostly involve getting more Dwarves into our army and using them to form the back bone of any invasion force, with humans and such acting as bulk troops.
>>
>>1155716
That's true we could use dwarves.
But we haven't used it on a actual human iirc.
There are unknown long term effects on using it on someone I think.

And if we're using our dwarves our strategy would involve on attrition and taking places and quickly fortifying them most likely.
>>
>>1155718
We have used it on a human in the Nazi-verse where we prototyped it.

As to the dwarf fighting style, it is suited for defeating the Kobolds, since they are running out of resources, securing their possible access to more stops them from fighting.
>>
>>1155722
We didn't stay long enough to see it's long term effects.
Long term as in repeated use over the span of months to years.

After we start making more money and work out the government issues that would take less than a civ turn and grind our magic we should probably work on improving our rocket to make the satellites we launch larger. It'd help us with the internet and I don't know if we have dial up.
We can also start integrating computers into our war tech And making power armor and exo suits
>>
>>1155727
Dial up internet is very easy to achieve, given that it uses a already existing network to transfer data but I do agree we should see about setting up a faster, purpose built system.

As to space stuff, we should focus on that after our first launch as I have a plan. Essentially we use it to show we are the most technically advanced, socially progressive and scientifically literate part of the world. Attract all the good scientists, engineers and shit and just grind out everything while brain-draining the rest of the world.

I know about that, I was referring to the fact that after eating it we felt queasy. OP was warning us not to just eat every single nuke we find because that would screw us up.
>>
>>1155764
We haven't eaten one in a long time.
We'll be fine.
Barring that we can start scouring the D&D verse for more blue orbs.
>>
>>1155768
We can also eat mages for power remember, so D&D is where we need to be for level gains.
>>
>>1155531

Still, spending money to be on good terms with a foreign country isn't that bad of deal. If we do have parade it will help relations and probably give us more leverage with them.
>>
>>1155783
Yeah but we'd take relationship hits with our own military and people most likely.
And our army already dislikes us.

And actually impressing him with a parade is out of the question.
Plus I don't want to cause more inflation by digging up more gold.
>>
>>1155783
No, no nation throughout history allows foreign troops to parade through their streets except when they have been defeated (france) or are being liberated from the enemy (france). I am not willing to have them parade through out our nation.

However, I see no reason not to welcome them, with a celebratory dinner and nothing more.
>>
>>1155787
As I explained previously, there will be no inflation in our economy from the gold we keep mining up since any decrease in the value of gold is countered by us having more gold and we are then creating money to "level out" the ratio of gold to value to money.

This does however mean we have been devaluing every other currency on earth backed with gold...so you know that is a thing. We may have screwed over the entire world economy slightly...
>>
>>1155792
Yeah I know not in our economy.
It'll fuck up other nations that use the gold standard.
I'd rather not mess up the economies of other nations too heavily.
Not unless we're doing it to help us deal with foreign nations.
>>
>>1155794
Hey, all is fair in love, war and economics...where the law says it is...

Anyhow, it just makes our economy stronger, because we can devalue our currency without actually making it worse, if that makes any sense.
>>
So, we are agreed? No parade but him and his commanders can come to some sort celebratory dinner?
>>
>>1155843
Sure.
It's reasonable and letting an army march through our streets and show off.
The thought is disturbing.
>>
>>1155843
We should have taken the bassalwheat or whatever it's called from the kobolds and start genetically modifying it.

We could probably start to colonize the underground more and it would mean more space to farm.

I hope the kobolds are doing well. We should probably check in on them eventually to strengthen them further.
>>
>>1155845
I agree, it is quite terrifying, to even suggest it.

>>1155848
I have a plan for them too, don't worry.

Anyway, OP we have reached a decision.
>>
"I'm not letting a foreign army march through my streets, Legate. How about a celebratory dinner and nothing more?"

He gives a sigh.

"My tail is already nearly crucified, and this is the Emperor's son we're talking about. His first major victory. A mere celebratory dinner will not exactly please."

"It's a foreign army parading in my streets, and showing off. It's disturbing."

"It's a parade of allies against the Drow menace. If you want to, you can have your own men parade in the honour of this monumental victory."

Actions

>No parade, period. He's lucky I'm letting him eat dinner in MY country.

"Legate, I agree that the defeat of a drow city is worth praising but I will not bend my knee on this issue.

To let an army, any army but my own, march through the streets of any of my cities would imply either they are conquerors or that they are liberating us from conquerors. Neither of which is true. It sends the wrong message to my people and would result in them being angry not only at me, but at your people.

However, I am willing to have an honour guard parade. Not an entire legion, just those who distinguished themselves and some of my finest as well. To show cooperation between our nations and to allow me to show off some new...innovations.

Is that acceptable?"
>>
>>1156225

"Right. Thank you for your time. I'll take this to the Consul."

You nod, and he leaves while you think on what to do...

Right... You were working on giant trees, that sort of thing...

"Sir?" One of the guard speaks.

"What is it?"

""Your not only asking to march your men through my city regardless of whether my men march alongside, but asking me to fund it. Don't you think that's a bit much?"

"To you, maybe. Is it's a no?"

"Right. Thank you for your time. I'll take this to the Consul."

You nod, and he leaves while you think on what to do...

"Dad?"

You hear Aulus to your side, he seems to have been patiently waiting... And now seems quite excited.

"What, Aulus?"

"Do you wanna play some baseball?"

"...Baseball?"

"I mean, yeah... I uh, heard about it from Chris!"

"Chris? Who's that?"

"That's uh... Chrysoua? Chrysoula... He has a weird name. So I just call him Chris!"

You can't help but be entertained at him thinking Chrysoula's a male.

"Well... Why don't you play with Deven?"

"Deven's doing homework from mom... Not to mention last time we played I won and then he set my pants on fire..."

Ah.

"Right."

"I mean, maybe that had something to do with the fact I hit him in the eye with the ball... But come on dad! Do you wanna play?"

He seems quite hopeful and eager.

"Come on, women aren't that strong. He's totally a guy dad."

"...So I married a guy?"

"That's kinda weird now that you mention it... Why do you like Chris anyways dad?"

Yeah. Though they're vassals and very loosely aligned with you.

Roll me a 1d20+4 to see if you can play ball and convince him that Chrysoula isn't a guy.

Then destroyers

And we can probably use computers to help with better cruisers.

Good Success!

You decide to use your tail. It could use the exercise, after all.

"So, how's life? Got any hobbies yet?"

You toss the bail with your tail, and he hits with clumsy with the bat, and it goes a good twenty feet in the air, through a pine tree... Which luckily doesn't get stuck in it. You go over to pick it up.

"I like baseball... I wanna be like Babe Ruth!"

"Really now?"

"Yeah! I have a bunch of baseball cards you know? From America! You know, Aaron Robinson, Virgil Trucks..."

He certainly seems to like baseball, that's for sure,.

"Well, you know Chrysoula is a woman, right? She wears girl clothes, has assets... Not to mention she likes shopping for clothes. Plus, I would never marry a guy... She even has a girl's name... Too high of a voice... But really, it's cute that you think she's a guy."

"I mean... Girls don't like sports dad. That's impossible. Also, girls have to smell good. He doesn't dad..."

You throw the ball to him again, and he misses it. It goes into one of the hedges, and you go to retrieve it...

"Hey, dad? Why is Deven so big now? I mean, last week he was as big as me, and now he's taller than me... I kinda wanted to ask you this for a while..."

Back from dinner anons.

All half-dragon children grow faster, but it's not really noticed yet due to the rather small population of half-dragons.

"Erh..."

You get the ball out of the hedge, and head back to playing ball...

Roll me a 1d20+6 to see if you can learn more about your son while playing baseball.

+2 if you can continue to argue why Chrysoula's female. And why you wouldn't marry a male. (+1 if you can also tell him why you like her.)
+2 if you can think of the positives of sending Aulus to primary school. (+1 if you can think if your son might be outcasted for being a dragon or royalty, and if it's worth it or not. +1 if you can worry if he might become... Soft, and not a dragon supremacist.)

Fix number one with

We need money to modernise our navy.

Their sixteen year old teen suffered from a heartattack after eating it, and the family are holding us liable and are taking us to court... The family are also important American politicians... Now everyone's worried about what you put into the fast food burger and as we speak your losing sales..."

Great. Now you have lawyers after you, an annoyed US government, and people thinking about their health...

You sigh. Great.

Your fast-food business is begin to become less popular due to this incident, and you may lose up to 4$ Million in income, or worse!

Can we just deal with this in court when it actually does come up? Also have Liz be our lawyer.

We should demand an autopsy, if we can prove that the child was unhealthy before consuming the burger (which is the only logical reason, since I doubt they had been eating them non-stop on their time in Italy) then we can in fact counter sue them for this and also improve our PR by pointing out that our product isn't flawed. Given that it is meant to be consumed either irregularly or by beings of a heartier constitution like half dragons.

We can also point to our intent to make our business healthier, which we have, and that people's health is their responsibility. Not ours as a business, except in cases of the product breaking laws.

"In a week in Stockholm."

Great.

"A few other key notes is that the parents came down sick an hour after eating their burger, and were reported sick enough to induce vomiting... A few other patrons have also reported this too."

...So you might be under fire from Health and Safety regulations too. Amazing.

You ask if there's anything else, and he says no... So you dwell on how to make your business more popular now that people are worried about dying of heart attacks, that sort of thing...

You head down to see her, and she seems to be getting ready to go to England on her trip... Oh, right...

Yes I enjoy sultry healers.
It's a fantasy classic.
And we should make a move soon to see that yuan-ti again for solaire. She's not bad.

Chrysoula would look adorable in a suit specifically because it's abnormal in a adorable way plus she is well endowed and her mannerisms help this. Liz is well endowed and she'd be embarrassed in the one we chose for her so that's a plus and other's would be envious af. We just need to make sure that anyone that stares too long remembers there is a 50 story dragon emperor in the room.

And we have the pastry cook we'll ever know returning. As well as being an extremely kind and caring mother. Really I'd say the only reason jupiter would be jealous is because either he wants a mother like that or he knows she's the favorite parent. And for good reason.

"I'm just messing with you. Your mom and I were celebrating with some wine earlier, that sort of thing... Then one thing led to another..."

You gag louder, with your dad's smile growing even bigger.

"Don't tell me..."

"Nope. Strange of her too. Just wanted to cuddle up to me in my half-dragon form. That's what I've been doing all day."

"Really... So uh... Have you been working out?"

"...You could say that, I suppose. Let's just leave it at that. Let's just say that spending lots of time with a very... Demanding woman tends to mean lots of physical exercise."

"Right..."

"Anyways, I need to talk to you about something... Could wait until later, but I'd rather talk about it now, while I'm not either being forced against my will to cuddle with your mom."

Actions

>Sure, why not? I came here to talk after all.
>...You never did say you were happy to see your dad. Maybe say something? Or hug him or something.
>Eh... I uh... I need to go. Now.

It might be about our mother nagging him regarding the astral plane and shit.

>>
"Well, sure, why not? I came here to talk after all."

"Come on then."

He holds the door open and you go through, and he closes it... You sit in a armchair while he sits on the couch... Breaking it. He sighs.

"Why the fuck do I keep forgetting..."

"Dad?"

"Oh, right. Sorry. Don't tell your mom I said that."

"Really?"

"...She swears as bad as a sailor. But not around you or me. It's rather cute if I might add. Of course she doesn't like ME swearing..." He mutters.

"Dad, what did you want to talk about?"

"Right... Well, since your mom spends so much on either clothes, food, sending money to the grandkids... Or sending money to orphanages or animal shelters... Buying frivolous shiny things, or donating to political parties, like the Draconia Firma, I need to get a job."

"...Oh."

"Since your mom is... Quite aggressive in her spending, I'm taking a job up as an accountant at my old place of work... So I'll probably be around a lot less."

"Oh."

"It also means that your mom... Well... I know your mom is a bit... Protective of her property... So I kind of need you to get her to kind of lay off on spending so much... And get her not to follow, kidnap, and then hold me hostage for a few days if not weeks. Because honestly, at this rate I have... What, seventy marks left? And of course, I'm worried that if she can't get me she'll go after you or something."

Actions

>Wow... Dad, if you said you didn't have much money, you could of told me earlier. I could of given you a loan or a donation or something. I can give you one right now, if you want.
>Don't worry dad, I can help you.
>...Come on dad. Your place is with mom, not working.
>Does that mean... She'll pay more attention to me?
>I love my mom dad, but I can't handle her that much...
>Come on dad. She's not going to kidnap you at work or something.

I guess that means we can't just eliminate the party after all and have to look into them more. Thats another thing to do on our shit list and should probably be one of higher concerns because now Karesteina is involved
>>
"Don't worry dad, I can help you."

"Thanks son..."

You hear small footsteps coming from the bedroom, and you see your mom in her human form come out, wearing a bathrobe.

"Husband? Why did you leave?" She seems obviously tired, and rubs her eyes.

"Hi mom."

Her tired look on her face instantly becomes a happy smile.

"Ren?"

"Hi mom."

She goes up to you, smiling kindly. She gives you a loving hug, and a kiss on the cheek.

"How's my little hatchling doing? I haven't seen you for so long!"

"Hi mom. I've been doing great."

"Good! I hope your happy... Anything happen while I've been away?"

"Nah. Not really."

"How are your wives Ren? I hardly hear anything about them."

"Cute as usual. Particularly in the case of the minotaur."

"Minotaur?" Your dad says... It has a hint of confusion.

"Aw, how adorable. You know, I had a pet minotaur when I was younger, about twenty... I always used him as a stuffed toy in my dragon form, always hugging up to him, forcing him to read bedtime poetry, playing games with him, that sort of thing..."

Your dad seems a bit concerned.

"Well... I mean, I don't know if this is a good ide-"

"Oh shush you. Next thing you know you'll want our son to only have ONE wife."

He sighs.

"Well, what's wrong with that?"

"Because it's undragonlike. Besides, you can have as many wives as you want Ren. Ignore your father."

"That's a bad i-"

She gives him a kiss right on the lips.

"Now, you should get going back to bed before you try to escape or something. You've already gone outside of your five minute bathroom break."

"...Karestina, I'm talking to my son here... I'm concer-"

She gives a rather entertained smile to your dad.

"That's why I love you. You always try to be human in a family of dragons... By Tiamat, it never gets old..."

"I mean, w-"

"Now get back in the bedroom, please. We were in the middle of cuddling in my hoard."

He sighs.

"Fine, I guess."

She smiles, and your dad gets up and heads off back to bed. She turns back to you as the door closes.

"So, anything exciting happen? Nothing too dangerous I hope?"

Actions

>Nope. Absolutely nothing. (Lie)
>I mean, I fought a vampire overlord and kicked his ass until he ran away...
>Well, I mean I snuck into a bunker and got some cool technology...
>I'm making giant trees!

>Hey mom do you know anything about magic for protecting the mind and body?

D&D is the place to go to for magic.
Get them abjuration levels.

"Well, I mean, I fought a vampire overlord, snuck into a bunker and got some cool tech... Hey uh, mom? Know anything about magic for protecting the mind and body?"

"Oh, Ren, you did all those things? Are you alright? Why didn't you ask for help? I mean, you could of been hurt or killed!"

"I'm fine mom, ok?"

"What if you have a disea- Oh my! Ren, are you sure you don't have a sickness? You do look a bit pale... What if that nasty vampire did give you one? I wouldn't put it above him!"

She seems quite worried about you.

"Why don't you go into the bathroom and drink a potion of cure disease? I got one from a alchemist and I really do think you should drink it..."

"Mom, I'm fine. I'm not sick."

"Well, are you sure?"

"Yes. I am."

She lets out a stressed breath.

"Fine... But if you cough once, you'll drink that potion until there's nothing left, ok?"

"Alright, alright... Now, is there anything about magic for protecting the mind and body?"

"Oh... Sorry Ren, I'm not a mage... I wouldn't know. Maybe your father, but he's kind of busy with me."

"Oh."

"...But are you sure you aren't sick?"

"Yes mom."

"I'm just checking..."

She gets up, and gives you a kiss on the head, and yawns.

"...I should probably getting sleep here in a bit Ren... Did you want anything though?"

Actions

Magic school tomorrow.
So mages go off on their own and study right?
Could we upgrade our lab so we can do magic studies as well as science ones?

We should talk to her tomorrow in the morning about Draconis firms and her political leanings

There were also those spies that we sent a while back but went missing and were never found. For all we know they could've just as easily been persuaded to join the party and forget they're old lives as being killed by them for being snitches.
>>
"Hey, mom? I heard that you were funding a group called the Draconia Prima..."

"Oh, them dear? I thought you would appreciate knowing that some people support you in everything. They're a wonderful bunch, supporting you no matter what. Besides, they'd make good friends, supporting slavery, making humans slaves or second class citizens... That's why I made the group for you."

"You made it? "

"Well, only co founding it for you. The leader is a... Oh, what's his name... Such a sweet man, with such a silly accent... A man called Joseph Goebbels. Very convincing with words, I might add."

She smiles sweetly, while you think about what to say...

"Is something wrong, Ren?"

Well shit. Talk about being caught between a probable terrorist organization and a mothers wishes. Also Goebbels being alive and here is really abnormal and interesting. He should've killed himself in Berlin in early 1945.
>>
Well, this is certainly strange.

"How sweet mom, thanks... But thank you, it means quite a bit."

"Oh, no problem Ren... Is there anything else?" She gives you a kiss on the cheek, and yawns.

Flames reminds you to maybe look into what happened to the spies...

Actions

>Hey, mom? Did spies ever get into the Draconia Firma? Just curious.
>Give your mom a kiss and a hug, and head to bed.

Also ask her if she knows stuff about Goebbels like his background and where he lives. He could be a potentially very valuable ally. He could train us in speechcraft for example.

"Hey, mom? Did spies ever get into the Draconia Firma?"

"Oh, about ten. But they aren't a problem anymore... I must admit, they taste rather good with lemons."

'You ate them?"

"Well, they are spies after all. Probably rivals of you, or worse."

Well... At least you won't have to pay them anymore.

"Well... I need to get some sleep mom. But do you know where Goebbels lives? And his background?"

"Oh, Goebbels? Well, he lives in an apartment. He's such a gentleman, though he does talk about whatever a Jew is a lot, that they're thieves or something."

"Really?"

"Yes... Though he doesn't talk much about his past. Quite mysterious."

She gives a yawn, and gives you a hug.

"...Excuse me Ren, but how did you know about the spies in the Draconia Firma?" She seems a bit curious.

Actions

>Well... They were my spies. Until you ate them. Though your mom might get upset and try to make it up to you. And possibly hold you hostage.

She seems a bit shocked... The more pragmatic, greedy version of you says to capitalize on this, maybe get something for your troubles...

Actions
