External auto-archives hold onto threads for a much longer time than 4chan's native archive does, but even then SupTG is the only permanent archive.

Being that the 4tan archive and other comparable archives will eventually decay, you should probably make a pastebin of it, or even perhaps host a .txt file out of Dropbox in case the pastebin expires.

“Spiders,” you whisper under your breath with a shiver, shaking off memories of the huge field spiders near your childhood home that would chase you around as a child. “Why did it have to be spiders?”

Lu lifts his hand to open up the door and you frantically grab for his arm.

“NO!” you say slightly too afraid, “I mean, there might be a better way. Maybe you can try connecting with them.”

“Connecting with them?” Lu says skeptically.

“Yeah!” Nazz chimes in, “Think like a spider! Get inside their heads! Maybe you’ll find a friend like Curtis!”

Nazz’s lizard opens its mouth and Lu and lets out a growl that almost sounds like a chuckle. The thought of Lu with a giant spider perched on his shoulder doesn’t do anything to calm your nerves.

“I mean through the Force,” you clarify. “Reach out and see if you can let them know that you mean no harm.”

Lu thinks for a moment, “I’ve never really thought of the Force like that. Communication. I guess I’ve mostly thought of it in terms of what it can do for me and not what it does to others.”

Lu presses his hand against the door and bows his head. The cave is filled with silence.

“I’m going in,” Lu says after a minute.

The door opens and spiders spill out. The scurry toward you and internally, you begin to panic before Lu holds up a hand and the spiders halt. He takes a step forward and the spiders seem to part for him, like an ocean separating. Lu makes it to the crawlspace and goes through it, leaving you and Nazz alone with the spiders.

What will you do?

“Okay,” you say, taking a deep breath, “We just need to stay calm. Lu’s going to be fine. He’ll get his crystal, and we’ll--”

One of the spiders shoots out a web and flies across the cave, nearly hitting you in the face. You dive behind Nazz and grab onto her shoulders, peeking around her head at the crowd of spiders in front of you.

“NAZZ YOU NEED TO STAY CALM OKAY, IT IS ALL GOING TO BE JUST FINE,”

Nazz’s face is stuck between a smile and a grimace as if she doesn’t know whether to laugh at the situation or throw you in a padded room.

“Pax, we’re going to slowly back away, okay?” she says, taking your hand and making the first step out of the chamber. “Lu will follow us out when he’s done, okay?”

“O-okay,” you say as you take a deep breath.

I wonder how we feel about verpines. Is there a spiderlike sapient in star wars galaxy? I'm not aware... although I bet OP will have us discover one eventually.

Nazz leads you out one step at a time, moving painfully slow. The spiders edge in on where you were just standing, moving closer. Your breath gets quicker and heavier as they close in but Nazz squeezes your hand tighter and tells you very calmly, “Just one step at a time.”

Finally, you make it around the bend and out of sight of the spiders. Nazz lets go of your hand and you sigh loudly, your hands on your knees as you slow down your heart rate.

“So,” Nazz says, “Spiders?”

“You will tell...no one?” you say between heavy, slow breaths.

Nazz stops herself from giggling.

“Wait, you want me to lie about your fear to the others?” Nazz says, “That is quite the web you’re weaving there, Pax.”

You give Nazz a death glare for a moment before a smile overwhelms your forced scowl.

“So,” Nazz says, “Is there a specific story behind this fear or--”

“Another time,” you say as you hear footsteps from around the corner.

Lu rounds the corner, draped in webbing.

“So, that went well,” Lu says, holding up the crystal between his fingers, a blue glow emanating from it.

“I thought blue was for muscle heads and Jedi really good with sabers,” Nazz says.

“That’s how it used to be back when the Jedi got their crystals exclusively from Ilum. Once they started using other caves, though, those rules kinda got thrown out because each cave’s crystals react differently,” you tell Nazz, appreciating all the history books you’ve been reading.

Lu holds the crystal close, giving a toothless smile before turning his attention back toward you and Nazz, “So should we go find Jorraan and Ara or should we look for an exit? Retsma said there was a path through the caves that lead straight to the shrine.”

Nazz says, “It’ll be safer if we check on them.”

Lu retorts, “Yeah, but there’s two of them. They’ll be fine. I say we find an exit and wait for them there.”

What will you do?
