In ages past men lived simpler lives - they would hunt, farm, fight and always respect the might of the Old Gods. Shamans led the clans with their elemental magic - so it was for many generations, before history was ever written down. The great hero Rog united a dozen human clans into a tribe that would form the foundation of our future Kingdom. One day Rog mysteriously vanished - then came the Great Storm - when it passed, the shamans could no longer feel the presence of the Gods and had lost the source of their magic.
The 1st Century After the Storm saw us becoming a proper civilization, beginning to accept the New Gods of the Pantheon and adopting technologies and customs from the east.
By the end of the 2nd century we were beginning to catch up to Paitras as larger wars were being fought.
The 3rd century saw the fall of Paitras and the rise of the Norse, with Roggar filling in much of the void left. By the end of the century most of Paitras had been reunited.
The 4th century saw the Pantheonic faith strengthen, defeating barbarians in both the north and south.
The 5th century started and ended with devastating plagues. 409-411 saw Roggar engaged in wars with itself and its neighbours, which ended in the foundation of the Holy Pantheonic Empire and an ensuing Golden Age for decades.
The 6th century was a century of blood and ash - the crusade against the Ashland Demons ended in the death of all who were there to witness it on either side. An invasion of the Kingdom of Ezirin led to wars across the continent that shook the Empire to the core and ushered in a new Dark Age. Following that, Roggar recovered and began progressing once more.
This century we explored further southward, encountering new nations. We waged two wars against Ezirin, partially achieving our goals in both - liberating Lursar in the first and taking some lands in the second. This last war, which we fought in 681, scarred our nation deeply as many soldiers' lives were lost with little gain - we've occupied Rekazir and the river valley leading up to it, but Rhoznax is battering down on The Mighty's southern borders as we speak.
>>
A new scheme shall now be offered to a certain type of prisoner in Roggar...
Due to their unique anatomy and way of life within the boundaries of Roggar, every centaur who commits a crime that's sentencing is not immediate death and is over 1 month are offered the chance to serve out their sentence underneath the vigil of the Ke-Lo Wildriders.

"Let it be known, that with our latest losses in the war, the Ke-lo Wildriders must put their nomadic lifestyle on the hold."

They prepare to build one of their famed camps on the South-west of the City of Phyton Nest, hoping that the closeness of civilization will help them trade for necessities.

They build the for with two three circles of walls, to accommodate the arriving convicts, give them work, and put them to use, while preventing their escape. They also put watchtowers to crossroads, to prevent fleeing of the convicts put in their care, and to prevent banditry, which the poverty of the country might give rise to.

All of those who have served their sentence, and wish to settle with the Ke-lo Wildriders, are given a piece of property, and place within the tribe.
Those who wish to leave, are free to do so.
Those who escape with their sentence unserved, are not given a second chance, and are hunted down with extreme prejudice.

In Ezirin the front has moved northwards. Rhoznax holds Zidram and all lands south of it - they besieged Ezirin, but the Mighty and the Black Legion combined managed to repel their siege and the front has been stable during autumn and winter.

In Roggar we're funding the mass-development of prosthetics. There are three tiers available to the publuc:
>Tier One
Using wood or metal, a simple attachment that replaces the missing limb - you don't feel anything from it and you can't move it or use it much, but it's better than nothing/a crutch. The procedure has almost no risk involved and is not too expensive.
>Tier two
Lesser magic metals such as angsteen, goblinium and purebronze can be used to create a limb that the user can feel and move - not as good as a regular limb, but it's an acceptable alternative. There is some risk involved(Under 5 death, under 12 injury) and the price isn't cheap.
>Tier Three
Using medium magic metals like milthril and galentine, a replacement limb can be created that is practically of equal usability as flesh and muscle and with some extra work you can even put some enchantments on it. This procedure carries some risk(If you roll a d100, under 12 is death, under 30 is some injury, under 50 is success, but no access to enchantments) and is more expensive.
For veterans who've lost limbs, the Crown will fund levels one and two - up to the patient's choice

Jarreck Vance, dismissed from service by Councilor Caligula, retired to his homestead outside Freehold. There he spent his forced retirement hunched over stacks of paper, scribbling like a man posessed. After two years of hard work he completed his masterpiece, a tome on the great war against Ezirin of the year 681.

The reasons behind the war are quickly glossed over as of lesser importance, instead the introduction goes into Homerific detail regarding all the individual contributors to the Royal army, the forces they bring, their banners and heraldry. Naturally the forces of the Councilors are portrayed as the most splendid and impressive, underlines by king Nick uttering: “Had only all my men been like Jarreck.”

The opening phases of the campaign are not given much emphasis. The siege of the Western Fortress and early fighting outside Rekazir only receive brief mention as part inventive dialogue where Jarreck is the one giving the king sage advice.
The Battle of Rekazir Pass however get an entire chapter to itself. The splendid heroism and courage displayed by Jarreck and his men reveive page after page of boasting as they slay 20 enemies for every man lost. The names of the hundred fallen heroes are all listed, same for every single item of loot and captive taken. Again the wise king praises him, uttering: “Had I ten generals like Vance then this war would have been won by now!”

Jarreck, a man of modesty, does not keep all glory for himself. The wounds suffered by Bloodcaller Swift-Hands at Rekazir receive suitable praise, as is Baron Folke Nomin death while leading a charge and Bram Hawthorne's heroic death at the hands of the fierce general Grorich at Rovinnan. The cowardly slaying of Grorich is attributed to the followers of the Three Gods, both Jarreck and King Corleone were elsewhere at that time.

The loss of the Western Fortress is given great importance, as is Jarreck Vance offering to take it back with a single legion but king Nick being disuaded by foolish advisors.

The appearance of the Black Legion and the battle with the Mighty at Kresnom comes next. In predictable manner Jarreck is once again portrayed as the nr1 contributor, the defeat being attributed to other, less able generals breaking ranks.
During the following rearguard action at Kresnom Jarreck is portrayed at the clear leader, inspiring all by example. Indeed, he goes as far to claim that he dueled three times with the Mighty, with no clear victor being determined. He only surrenders after the Mighty threatens to murder 15'000 captives.

The capture of Jarreck is made into the event that changed the war. Without his most able advisor the kindly King Corleone is led astray by foolish knaves, eventually resulting in a series of bad decisions and the slaughterhouse at the Western Fortress that gave him the name Nick the Butcher. The story ends with the attempted regicide by the cultists of the Three Gods and their swift punishment by the firm hand of the King.

On the very last page king Nick signs the peace treaty with the Mighty. The confrontation in the Southern Pass is merely a footnote, the savages fleeing in terror as they come under the firm gaze of the newly freed sir Jarreck Vance.

We make sure the people are where they need to be - the economy can take care of itself for the most part, if the conditions are there.

The capital of Ezirin has fallen and the Mighty's armies are still slowly being pushed back northwards.
Rekazir is safely in Roggarian hands, the lands up to it are mostly unsettled as the minotaurs had evacuated them.
Roggar and Zhongian have reached an agreement - the non-swamplands south of Zhorang are returned to Zhongian in return for them joining the anti-Rhoznaxi coalition and giving us a certain alchemical formula.
Black powder - a chemical explosive, it is a mixture of sulfur, charcoal, and saltpeter. The sulfur and charcoal act as fuels, and the saltpeter is an oxidizer. A scholar brought a chest of scrolls with which we were taught how to manufacture this powder and a chest of tea leaves as a gift to the House of Lords.
We can now make the chemical itself, provided we have the ingredients - we have sulphur mines and charcoal is plentiful. This just leaves us with procuring saltpeter and developing practical uses for this powder - we only have the knowledge of the regent's manufacturing for now.

The Mighty clings only to the foothills and mountains in the East.
In Roggar we've developed our first blackpowder items - basic rockets that can be used as fireworks or as a new kind of ranged projectile. Early tests had us launching fire arrows that used gunpowder, but we later developed tubes through which the powder is propelled in a direction.
A saltpeter mine northeast of Altodominio is our first major source of that material.

We can adopt the gobbopolis system of militia training and use it on a kingdom wide scale

>The laws regarding Banners are outdated things from before feudalism the Gobopolis would seek to rework to fit with the modern age. Responsibility would pass to the Knights of the realm to, aside from their retinue of men at arms, they also take a role in overseeing militia training and bring those levies with them when they are called to war.

The Magical Warfare Reforms Act

Due to the various circumstances and defeats suffered in the Ezirin war it has become plainly apparent that the current state of the Roggarian Royal army is simply outdated for the current age of battle. The Duke of Gobbopolis would like to put forward an act to restructure the army and help play too Roggars strengths and combat the increasingly magical threats Roggar faces on a daily basis.

On the basis each legion consists of 5,000 men in varied types from advanced to skirmisher, the main goal of the this reform is to decrease the numbers of legions allowing for more specialized, better trained and better equipped troops.

In the East, Ezirin has fallen.

We've chosen to improve enchantming - the material magic ability to apply a magical effect permanently onto a physical object.
Anything "coul" be enchanted, but for the effect to be potent and lasting, the material is important. The scale of materials used as a base for enchanting is as follows:organic matter<earthen materials<mundane metals<precious metals<gems(roughly equal)=lesser magic metals<medium magic metals<greater magic metals.
An effect can be passive or active. In its use it expends mana and needs to be recharged at some point - if the enchantment is of a more complex kind, it requires an enchanter to recharge, but more basic ones can be refueled by anyone with ready mana to spare.
The most common enchantments used by warriros are ward enchantments and body enchantments - the former protecting against magical attacks and the latter against physical.

The realm of Ezirin destroyed! The roads must be swarming with refugees! It breaks the heart of a kind, gentle humanitarian like myself.
Indeed, we must all do our part to help these poor wretches. The city of Trusted Defense welcomes them with open arms! Indeed, after the deaths of thousands of our men there are surely many a young widow in my domain in need of a new breadwinner. And I shall, in my kindness, provide them with a supply.

Now, fellow councilors, do not think this enrichment a burden. We need both hard workers and soldiers and these specimens will do very well. The strength and feriocity of the Ezirini-natives are well known, after all the Mighty bred them that way.
They'll certainly be useful to us.

There has been a recent assassination attempt on the life of my heir, Barnaby. If it wasn't for his quick reflexes and uncanny cunning intentionally dropping the swampweed blunt and the timely attempt to pick it up, I'm afraid the arrow would have pierced his heart. Thankfully, the blunt was the only casualty. Further investigation revealed that the perpetrator was very proficient in high level illusion magic, as a glamour was used to sneak in close and then invisibility was used to escape. A bounty of 2,000 Fishmarks has been set for the capture of what Barnaby calls the "Blunt Bandit", on the crime of attempted of assassination, breaking the peace, and the sabotage of legal narcotics.

We have two options as far as I see it:
A.Smaller project - connect Dragonstomb to Hellsflame better, with an island in the river and more bridges, improve the port facilities and integrate the town as a suburb of the capital.

We've funded MAGA's research into spellweaving - generally speaking, advancing the magical capabilities of all practicioners of the arcane arts who invest time and effort into intense study.
Any sentient being can posess magical energy - mana - which is used to cast spells or power magical objects. Mana isn't regenerated naturally, but has to come from somewhere - usually from a God, but for those who reject worship sacrifice and alchemy are options.
Magic is a skill that takes many hours of study to understand and even more hours of training to practice. With each level in a certain school it gets harder to progress. Different races have different natural magical potencies, but other than that the most important thing is how much effort you've put into your magical training. Spells require the caster to utter certain words, so casting is not instanteneous and messing up the words messes up the spell. You don't have to speak out loud, though most do it. Spellweaving allows two things - to combine the effects of multiple spells into one and to "prepare" a spell - a mage preparing for battle will have certain spells prepared under particular words that he can utter quickly for a near-instant cast in a pinch. The stronger the spell, the harder it is to prepare into an instant cast.
Most magical practicioners are priests of the Pantheon. The general term for a person who practices magic is "mage", however, while someone who is very dedicated to the ways of the arcane - usually the followers of Charodei - is known as a "wizard". Wizards are commonly percieved as old and somewhat odd and there's some reasons for that. Magic takes many years to master - that much you know, but there's other things to it. The more you delve into a school of magic, the more it has an effect on you. Healers are more naturally empathetic, Flame mages have a more fiery temper and spatial mages often get headaches and are in general somewhat unstable as they have to bend the very fabric of reality through their minds. To be a great wizard one needs intelligence to understand the complexities of the arcane, willpower to keep their sanity and dedication for the craft. One's blood/heritage plays a part as well(consult the racechart), but other than that luck does not matter at all. Laziness and stupidity do not help in any way. Some practicioners of magic may place a lesser priority on willpower, though and it will often show as their behavior will change depending on the magic they practice.
Take all of this into account when creating characters or just having unnamed mooks use magic.

We've further supported the advancement of metallurgy - blast furnaces of the level of the one in Altodominio are now being developed elsewhere in Roggar. Larger furnaces like this and in general large smithing facilities allow the creation of larger plates of metal. This can be used, with further development, not just for personal armor, but also for golems and perhaps other designs, in which we need to use solid plates of metal as well as for larger weapons.

You made an island in the lake and set up a walled keep there - it could use more work in the future, of course. Hell's Crusade also grew.
The penal colonies project is proceeding.

When combined with coal and a bit of sulphur, the ore produces a metal you've named Bloodsteel.

A new wing was added to the complex - a Gunforge - currently almost all of Roggar's gunpowder and firearms are produced there.
>>1121149
Your security system was implemented, ensuring no convicts may escape and providing a bit of profit for you and security on the roads. Centaurs are well suited to such work - guarding our Kingdom's highways.

We worked to improve agricultural production and in general the economic situation in Roggar.
You may still make rolls if you haven't yet, so don't worry.

We've advanced mining and relevant metallurgical technologies to allow us to better refine the ores extracted from mines. Through water pumping, fire setting and the use of shafts we are also able to reach lower levels of mines - useful, as the oldest iron mine in Roggar, belonging to the Duchy of Nayte, had exhausted its upper level deposits, but now its lifespan has been extended through newer technology.

In the winter of 605-606 King Nick Corelone passed away, still smoking his smokeleaf at a ripe 71 years of age.
It is time for a new Royal Contest in Roggar, in Domnis of 706!
If you want to be a candidate, submit your name, age, what you're good at and what you promise to do for Roggar. If you don't describe at least these four things, you are not a valid candidate and you won't be allowed to endorse anyone either.
Candidates roll a 1d100
Five minutes after the first candidate posts you may start making endorsements - no sooner. If you are not a candidate and havent endorsed yet, roll a 1d15 in support of someone.
If you are a candidate and you drop out of the race to endorce, roll a 1d10
If you have already endorsed and want to switch, you get a 1d5 to use.

The rules are as follow:
You fight to death/knock-out or surrender. Consider the fact that you two are vassal and suzerain and one of you will be King over the other as well.
The fighters are Samson Hawthorne and Fuck-Mighty Swift-Hands.
Both are given the same equipment, fitted for them - brigandine armor over gambeson and a short sword and small shield. Magic is permitted.

On the 1st of Ezdarin, 706, the second Rog'gora in our Kingdom's history is held.
Spectators may place bets and enjoy their time. Security is heavy, with plenty of mages included. The duel is taking place in the Gladiatorum in Dragonstomb.

Samson looks for his sword, which gives Fuck-Mighty a chance to blind him with his light and start pummeling him - thankfully Samson wasn't looking straight at his enemy, so his blinding is only temporary. The human is now getting pummeled hard.

Fuck-Mighty's mana was reaching its end - his last enchanted punch was a hook that hit Samson in the face just as he was preparing to firebreath - Hawthorne is now knocked on the ground, three of his teeth, a sword and a small puddle of blood there, his face very hot from the inside.
He is at a serious disatvantage and would roll a d80 if he chooses to continue. He may also surrender

Samson is reminded of his uncle Bram's death. He cannot allow that here.

He hugs the duke... then heats up their bodies and the air around them, before firebreathing while looking straight at the duke, with his hand on fire in order to permanently scar the duke's hand if it does not kill him outright.

Landrich Erden, Nakol Andarak, a dozen lesser known men and women, Guildmaster Abu and his wife Elrahila and the Paitran prince Varen Ezgielan all shared a big toast and drank to each other's health and happines and the prosperity of Roggar.
Within the next minute, one by one, they all started choking, dropping to the ground, their faces swelling. Several others - mostly maids who had been in physical contact with them just after they'd drank from their chalices - also fell to the ground. All of them died and the attendees were panicked, rushing for the exits, the guards rushing to make sure the King is safe.

There were no other casualties. The drinks were poisoned by some magically corrupted spores. The mood of the feast was definately sullied, but at least His Majesty is safe.

Poison rock spores and dark magic in some combination were applied to the drinks by a perpetrator who was identified as one of the servants in the Castle. The man's corpse was found half-buried - he had been killed before the feast, which leads us to believe someone must have assumed his identity and thus infiltrated the feast. Whoever that someone was, we don't know - the identity thief's tracks led out of the city and to his own grave - the person in charge killed him to ensure his silence. Dark magic was at work in this whole affair, that's for sure

News has come from the Imperial Capital - Emperor Jurin Haraldson has passed away at age 72, in Gyolan of 707. The Imperial Throne is now vacant - a new ruler of the Holy Pantheonic Empire must be decided upon.

A grand tournament of various athletic disciplines shall be held, with every Kingdom being represented by the King and one of his top vassals.
The discipline is a pentathlon. One of the two competitors starts and at any point in the race he may switch with his second, but you may only switch once.
The disciplines are as follow:
>Swimming
>Running(centaurs not permitted)
>Horse racing(centaurs permitted)
>Javelin throwing
>Wrestling
Everyone wears simple clothing that won't impede them during their disciplines. Magic and any other form of buffs from the competitors is forbidden.

You swim for 300 meters, pick up a javelin and throw it into a 200 meter-long course - you then run the course. Stoman priests will buff you to be able to sprint up to the spot where you threw the javelin, after which you have to use your own energy. At the end of the 200 meters you have to mount a horse(or switch with a centaur on your duo) after which you ride 1000 meters.
The first two contesters to reach the finishing line must then wrestle - the one who taps out or is knocked out first loses and the remaining wrestler becomes Emperor.
This competition requires thinking - who to pick as your second(it has to be a Pantheonic vassal of yours, one of the other influental rulers in your nation) and when to switch, how to use your energy etc.
The contestants are as follows.

Kragnaal - King Margam Kragnan, switch Duke Erbon Noistill
Anglanorse - King Stollin Haraldson, switch Jarl Bjorn Gunnarson
Roggar - King Fuck-Mighty Swift-Hands, switch Charles Martell II(human)
Paitras -King Verigal Ezgielan IV, switch Duke Jackard Tremas
Lursar - King Utreg Lursarin, Duke Grass-Foot Deft-Hands(goblin)
Ondalia - King Morzil Ondalan, Duke Ragan Olberson(Norseman)

Aristo controls the Kragnan duo, Erden controls the Onadlian duo, Kilroy controls Lursar, Swift controls Roggar, Centurion controls Paitras, Lectre controls Anglanorse.

Contestants - choose which of your duo will start with the swimming and roll!

Erbon Noistill botched it completely - Kragnaal went from second to fifth because of his poor riding skill. Ragan Olberson did well, but Ondalia's previous performances had already assured them finishing last.
Utreg Lursarin and Stollin Haraldson had an intence race - Stollin finished mere seconds before Utreg, even though he had started a lot earlier - Utreg was the fastest of all in this phase, but he only got to start after four others had already gone ahead - even so, Lursar finished fourth, before Kragnan.
The Kings of the three human-majority nations were ahead of the rest - the lead that Tremas had bought him ensured Verigal the first place in the horse race, even though he was not too fast himself. Stollin was at about the same pace as him, which allowed Fuck-Mighty to take the second place, surpassing the Norse King!

King Fuck-Migthy Swift-Hands of Roggar and King Verigal Ezgielan IV of Paitras are the finalists in the race - both switched in at the racing phase, so they are not particularly tired themselves. Those two proved to be smartest in chosing their seconds and the strategy for the Penthathlon, which led them to this moment.
Verigal is a man of 39 years of age, 10 more than his goblin oponent. They will now have to wrestle each other - the winner shall be Emperor!

Verigal grabs Fuck-Mighty through the waist and performs a suplex, crashing the goblin down on his head, then grabs him from the ground and does it a second, then a third time - King Swift-Hands gets up, shaking, after which Verigal grabs him again and suplexes him for the fourth time.
The Paitran King claims complete victory in this historic wrestling match and claims the Imperial Crown for the fourth time for Paitras.

Our King recovered with no permament injuries - Verigal knows how to measure his strength, it seems.

Metallurgy has advanced enough and we've worked with the dwarves of Kragnaal to develop our first Roggarian-produced plate armor(harness).
A knight's heavy armor would now entail the following: padded cloth with chainmail over it for the basis; pieces of plate armor across the body, leaving almost no gaps(and those places where they can be found are covered by chain) - a breastplate for the front of the torso, connected with a backplate for, well, the back. Plate spaulders, arm protection and gauntlets are now produced, as are plate legs and sabatons.

So what makes plate armor so good and desirable? It is just about impervious against slashing attacks and not easy to pierce - the weakness of chainmail was indeed piercing attacks. To defeat plate one must use blunt force, a lot of power behind a piercing strike or maneuvering around to find a weak spot.
The first, finalized works that were produced in Roggar were given to King Swift-Hands(his harness naturally being made for his size) and to Dragon Commander Charles Martel II.

Bear in mind, this isn't quite "full plate armour", but it is a great advancement forward. This armor is very expensive to make, however - only high-ranked nobles would be able to afford a suit of these, anyone below the rank of baron probably would find it beyond their purse.

Every faction with less than 3 Pantheonic temples in their assets gets one (if the faction is Pantheonic, of course) funded by the Crown. If you don't want a new temple you may expand an existing one(still only applies to those with less than 3 temples).

Right, so, we dorfs, we got banished for; falsified labor reports, conspiring with elves, and fraternising with kobolds, we know stuff about golems and plopped down on the then vacant Nomannic. Our population is as follows:
700 peeps, approximately 7%each of elves, orcs, ogres, goblins, kobolds and humans, the remaining 58% is dwarves. 40 of those are fighters, and 15 of them are golemancers, the rest are craftsmen and laborers. It's come to my attention that during the Rog'gora in the year 706, on the 1st of Ezdarin, Barnaby of the Dragon Guard took the life of an innocent spectator in a fit of madness.

As murder is quite illegal in our realm I cannot ignore this.
But due to the high status of the accused combined with the "alternative punishment act" of 640 this matter can certainly be resolved without a hanging.

Barnaby is to report to the Master of Law as soon as possible.
If he cooperates with the court we will decide upon a suitable weregild to be paid to the family of the victim, settling this case quietly and to the contentment of all involved parties.

Some announcements:

A deal has been struck with the enchanters of the Silverhand Cartel for the manufacture of a magical weapon. A great sword infused with the element of lightning. The manufacture of this weapon is expected to take at least a year.
For all your magical enchantments it is recommended to contact the Silverhand Cartel. Promt service, customer friendly, high quality craftmanship featuring the rarest of magical metals and very, very reasonable prices.

An order of 100 handgonnes has been placed with the gunsmiths of Lady Stormbeast, paid for in solid gold.

Also informing that the number of my faction troops will be raised with 500 men, from 3,5k to 4k over the coming years.

Both tax collectors and accountants are busy at work turning every stone and slashing all needless expenditures to fund these costly investments. Caligula has ordered some of his scholars to look over the deal for non-profit sale of paper to the Roggarian administration, searching for avenues of renegotiation on the non-profit part.

As Barnaby was praying to Batahl in the Sept of Dragonstomb, an arrow was loosed from the shadows and pierced his heart clean through. Barnaby has been slain in front of his son Mill, an pious priest of Batahl and the Pantheon.

Mill has since taken up preaching around the capital about the untimely slaughter of the Prophet Barnaby, how the king failed in his duties to his vassals, and how the murderer should be brought to justice.

As murder is quite illegal in our nation I must request that the perpetrator is brought before me so that I can judge him fittingly.

Regarding the issue of the unpaid weregild it is naturally transferred to Barnaby's next of kin, this fellow named Mill.

Now, this "Heloz" fellow is wanted for a rather serious crime.

If he does not then my hands are tied, the murder of a noble is not something that can be allowed to go unpunished.

We've further advanced our blackpowder capabilities. The Gun Forge of Altodominio is now able to make larger and heavier guns, with longer barrels, able to fire grapeshot and now even cannonballs. The largest guns, our first real cannons, can't be held by a single man and need to be mounted on a platform, tilted at a desired angle. Even if one were to get a stronger person to lift one of these guns, loading and reloading them is still a bitch, as is aiming - but be certain, we are advancing.

Order, order!

The judges have come to their conclusion in the case of the murder of duke Barnaby, the self-styled mad prophet.

The judges are in agreement that the evidence presented clearly indicates that Heloz carried out the act. The markmanship, advanced illusion magic and the craftmanship of the weapon used all indicates him. The testimony of lord Hawthorne is not given much weight by the judges, as he is considered too close to the accused and only brought forth witnesses in his own employment.
However, the tribunal agrees that all the evidence presented by the prosecution was chiefly of a circumstational nature. Furthermore the defendant cooperated willingly under the understanding that this would result in a lenient verdict.

Heloz is to pay 2'000 Gold Crownmark in weregild to the family of the deceased. In addition he shall serve 20 years of imprisonment in the tomb.
For every 100 Gold Crownmark not paid another year shall be added to his sentence.

This is the verdict of the Master of Law and his two assistant judges!

He spits on the ground.

"I expected better than you all to refuse an airtight alibi and throw me down because some punk had a bow and a glamour. Circumstancial evidence? You ought to be ashamed. Barnaby would be ashamed. Mills deserves justice for his father's fate not a bloody scapegoat."

Heloz throws four crownmarks on the groun.

"A payment of good faith." He growls as he leaves.
