In the early 2050s, unknown life forms called “Oracle Cells” begin their uncontrolled consumption of all life on Earth. Their ravenous appetite and remarkable adaptability earn them first dread, then awe, and finally the name “Aragami”. Angry Gods as the people of the Far East began to call them.

In the face of an enemy completely immune to conventional weapons, urban civilization collapses, and each day humanity is driven further and further toward extinction. First, the Finnish biotech corporation, Fenris have launched their research into the Oracle Cells have came up with the solution to combat the Aragami; the God Arcs, and those who wield them, the God Eaters.

With this now technology, Fenris became the de-facto leader of the ruined world, uniting the people to take the fighting to the Aragami

You are floating between what is conscious, and what is incomprehensible. The rays of light might be physically absent, but you feel a revelation in the back of your mind.

“Soon… soon my chi--d you’ll be r--dy.” the voice says, muted like coming from the bottom of the darkness. An icy feeling creeps over your spine, and the blistering hotness of a volcano reaches trough your chest

Time passes
“Close,… closerrr…” - the voice speaks again, more screeching and impatient than before.

Searing pain flows trough your veins, and you convulse, hugging your kness.
The pain subsides
“Finally! Finally!” the voice ejaculates in with almost inhuman laughter, repeating the words over and over again.

Suddenly a new feeling engulfs you. Shaking. And you feel a slight shockvawe over your being. Sounds of broken glass, and ripping concrete reach you. Shouting, and the pounding of footsteps. Gunfire.

Suddenly, something pulls you down, and after a few seconds, you fall forward. Cold hands grab you, and pull a your mouth off. No not your mouth but something outside of it.
You take your first few natural breaths.
The hands start to drag you away, you hear the creaking of a metallic hatch, and you start falling again, much rougher this time.

You fall onto the ground, naked, with a big *splosh*

Using your muscles for the first time is so damn tiring, you just wanna take it easy.
However the sense of urgency is rather overwhelming, as the sirens in the distance don’t seem to shut up.

You get up to your knees, and wipe the slime off from your face with your forearm, opening your eyelids. The weak light of the shady room stings them a bit, but your irises get used to the new conditions quickly.

The familiar voice speaks again. From somewhere in the dark. Some mechanical screeching indicates that it comes trough speakers rather than person.

“Stop mucking about, keep moving you little ingrate! Go go go go go go go!!!”
You stumble forwards, and keep going, as the “go”s follow you. As you go down the corridor, and as you get past a tv screen, the sound abruptly starts screaming “Stop! Into the closet you magnificent specimen!!” and it loops over and over again.

You dive into the tiny metallic room, and close the feet-thick metal door at the behest of the screen. It is much lighter than you thought it will be.

“Whe”- you start, but another dose of the slime gurgles up your throat. You spit the thing out before continuing. “Where the fuck am I and who the fuck a-?” you ask, but as soon as the door closes, water begins to flow from the top of the room, surrounding you with a cold shower.

There is another screen inside of the shower-room, and you see the silhouette of a man on it “Subject replying” says a new, completely computerized voice. The screen jumps at this, and the old voice replies.
“This is a pre-recorded message, don’t even bother. LISTEN, because I can’t repeat myself”
The screen jumps again, like it would skip back to the record and the man continues like nothing happened. Rubbing your face with some water, and getting used to the light conditions, you can take a closer look at the speaker.
A filthy gray labcoat, a crooked pair of glasses with one of the lenses broke, the man speaks in a raspy and stretched voice, obviously brimming with excitement.

“If you are hearing this then that means things are lost. Lost!!” - he cries with a hint of despair, hanging his head down so you only see the top of his bald head. Then he suddenly looks up again, leaning closer to the camera. “But if you are hearing this then that means I have won. I. HAVE. WO-

The force of an earthquake shakes the room, and the TV, making the screen jump again, and you slip to the ground. The record continues with the man laughing. Another explosion is heard, but you manage to stumble on your feet.

“When the shower stops, open the door, and head right, then left. You’ll get to a room. Grab a weapon, and some clothes, and get the hell ou-” The sound of static and shakes dawns out the man for a little - “ -ber you are the beginning and the end! Trust no one. In time you will learn.”

“Goodbye, and good luck”

After a minute, the shower stops, and you are clean. You push the door open, and enter the corridor, scorched walls around you. Having no other choice, you follow your instructions and finally enter a thinly furbished room. It has a wardrobe, and a rack of weapons

You quickly grab on some pants, and a vest. Leaving the cloak, and the heavier clothing behind. Approaching the weapon rack, you eye the selection. Even the smallest blade are like half of your torso, the longer ones are almost as big as you are, and the biggest ones are definitely taller.

You have a trade off when it comes to weapons.

Shorter reach does better close up, longer from further away. This is why dueling attire was a rapier and a dagger in the off hand, to balance out combat ability.

While we may be facing monsters eventually, its undeniable that we will fight other humans at some point as well, so close and long range should be taken into account.

You see no glove. You are not sure this was meant to be used as a God Arc

Well if it’s sharp, then it is sharp, what other trait does a weapon need?
Also, you got two hands, let’s get to it!

Throwing down the stick, you grab the long blade from the floor, putting your hand in the glove. When you strap it on, a sharp pain strikes your hand, but goes away in a split second. You rotate your wrist around a bit, and do some practice swings, but nothing seems to be the matter with it. It is moderately light.

Hoisting your weapons over your shoulder, you use the only other exit from the room, and go trough another corridor for what feels like minutes, the way curving backwards, and slightly up.
As you move forward you notice something in the air. The smell of burning, and a slight green mist floating around, getting more thick as you get close to the surface. It is always faint, but definitely there.

Finally you reach the light of day. The sun shines down, upon what were once magnificent buildings, now chewed remains of humanity. The rays of light no longer sting your eye, and you breathe in the air as you bathe in the sun.

Then suddenly you hear shouting, and screaming. You instinctively turn towards the direction they are coming from. You scale up on a few rocks, and look down below.

Men in disarray are seen below. Most of them are in uniforms, with guns and shields. Some of them are running, some of them are laying on the ground or kneeling. Bodies burned, and some disfigured. A few limbs are sticking out from a large pile of debris nearby. Some limbs are away from the pile in pieces.

You some two legged creatures, twice and thrice as tall as any of the men, with long tails and big mouths. There are a few of them around, chasing the helpless, and eating those who are too foolish to stay and fire at them

You consider intervening, but you are rather uncertain. You instructions were to run away, but something draws you towards them.

In the end you decide to interfere, and being to run towards the commotion, jumping over obstacles, and closing in rapidly. You go down trough a valley of rubble, so you loose sight of the slaughter. When you get up again, you see four new combatants enter your field of vision. They seem to wear oversized guns and weaponry like you are, and slinging them without any apparent effort.

As they move in, you see them engage the Aragami, a girl and a man opens fire, to get the attention of a few distant one. While a man with a spear strikes the closest to him, and gives opening to another one with a buster blade to knock him into the side.

The battle seems to be going their way

You move in closer to see better, and scale one of the buildings to get a good vantage point. Observing for now seems wiser. While the team fights, the soldiers gather up their belongings, and join with a newer team to gather the wounded and flee.

As you watch them, you deduce that these Ogretails are vulnerable on their sides, and have to turn towards their target to attack. They can also shoot projectiles from their tails, and tuck it beneath them, to propel their bodies forward in a jumping attack.

[Gained Knowledge: Ogre Tails I]

You hear a roar, different from the Ogretails. A humongous monkey enters the area, walking on all fours. It stands into the middle of the small square, and standing on it’s hind-legs, lets out a roar.

The man with the spear returns the scream and charges the monkey, while the rest of the team is frozen with fear. The shouting shouting of the man with the buster blade comes too late, as the giant ape swaps away the attacker. The team moves in, when suddenly an another Aragami, identical to the first bursts in the other side, and goes forward one of the gunners.

The ape stampedes forward, right at the gunner, who barely has any time to turn towards the new threat, and release a salvo. Most of it misses, and the beast is undaunted, opening it’s maw wide.

With spear in one hand and a long blade in the other, you run towards the edge, and with a jump as big as you manage, leap off. The shrieking battle-cry you let out is heard across the field, and everyone, even the Aragami pause to look up to your relentless charge.

Just in time for you to land on it’s nose, and plunge your weapons into it’s eye. The stick breaks in half, but the blade dugs deep into the armor.

The ape moves and buckles trashing around, giving time to the gunner to roll away

The ape stands on all fours again, and gives full-mouth roar.
You feel something in the pit of your stomach, something in the bottom of your being.
You feel the creature angry.

Of course it is obvious that if something gets a part of it’s head off then anger follows, but the feeling is a bit deeper. An instinctive warning, that you can expect a bigger resistance and effort from now on.

You can feel a great fire, burning in the pit of your stomach, breaking to your chest, making your blood boil. The fire in your veins spreads trough your arms and into your God Arc.

The blade that was stuck halfway into the Aragami, goes hilt-deep into the monster. You start to slowly pull it downwards, cutting a deep gash into it. But it is not enough.
With foaming mouth, you let go of the hilt, and tear into the open wound you cut bare handed with your left.

The Aragami screeches, with a voice unlike ever before, nothing like the triumphant or angry roar it gave earlier. It tries to trash around to escape your hold, but it can only trash around as you rip the wound wider and wider.

As your anger peaks, the flame in your heart lashes out, ripping your vest, and plunging right into the middle of the freshly teared hole, and the intestines of the beast and something black covers your vision.

With a final roar, you depart your arms, and the great body tears into two pieces.

You drop them both as you feel your boiling blood comes to peace, changing into uplifting joy.

[Ferality 5%]
[Power Absorption ??? 15%]

You double over between the two torn pieces of the defeated Aragami. Your arms are on your knees as you pant heavily, like you’ve run the biggest marathon of your life.

There is a sudden uncomfortable twinge in your chest. The very same you’ve felt when the aragami went into a rage. You instinctively touch your chest, where the feeling emanates from, and withdraw it as you touch your chest immediately.

In the middle of your sternum there is a distinctive black hole. You blink a few times to make sure your eyes don’t deceive you, and raise your hand again to examine it. The black “hole” is almost the size of your fist, and slightly protrudes from your chest. It feels weird to the touch, a little rough a and very smooth at the same time. More disturbing is that you “feel” the hole when you touch it. I feels like poking the inside of your gum.

The death-scream of the other Kongou wakes you from your pondering, and you turn around seeing it fall. The other team have finished with their opponent as well, and now taking one last bite from it, they turn their attention to you.

After a few moments of awkward staring, the man with the buster blade starts heading your way. Weapon in one hand over his shoulder, and the other is waving friendlily. The others are following a bit father behind

You decide to go over and greet them. You meet midway and stop a few meters short of each other.

“Hey, nice work. I am Geoff. Good thing you’ve came when did, the recruits are a little green, and they wouldn't have learned anything if they'd have to take one down while I'm busy with the other one”
He looks over your torn vest, and tries not to stare at the black hole. Instead he turns his attention to the slowly dissolving carcass behind you

“Oh you really did a number on this one. So, you’re from HQ or something? I don’t think I…
He suddenly winces and puts a finger to his ear. “What, what? I’m here, don’t shout” a few seconds pass in silence, - “You want me to.. Bu… fine”

Ho looks at you again apologetically “Look, maybe it’s best if we go back to base together what you say?” he says offering a hand.

“You are the beginning and the end” the last words of the transmission echoes among your thoughts. You step forward, and take the man’s hand.

“I am Aleph.” -you give it a shake- “and sure, no problem”
“Ah, that’s a relief. Let’s head to the extraction site, a chopper will be here soo-”
“That is if you can catch me”
“Excuse m-”
You barely hear the end of the surprised sentence, as you bolt to the opposite direction. Your legs take you pretty fast and within seconds you leave the square behind.

At first the man tries to catch up to you, but you are faster, and feel like his heart isn’t really into it. It hits you that he probably doesn’t want to leave the recruits alone in the area.

The green smoke lifts as you get farther and farther, and you find yourself pondering where to go. At one moment you hear something, and get into cover. Just in time to see a helicopter go into the direction you came from

Aleph rather not distance himself too much away from the place of his emergence, and instead lingers beneath the ruined building until a dozen or more helicopters make their way above him.

They are likely the same Geoff talked about. It will pick up the group, and the others as well. When it is silent, he dusts himself off, and heads out to look familiarize himself with the location

Aleph looks up at the sun. It is descending, but the light it casts is good enough for direction. He begins to head north. Then west, south, and east. Sometimes making bigger, and smaller rounds, familiarizing with the surroundings.

By the time the sun rests below the horizon, he knows large chunk of the ruined city like the back of his hand. Where Aragami are more abundant, or where certain kinds of them can be found more often, and where are safer zones located.

>Gained specialty: [Familiar Ground: Ruined City]

He even manages to find a good hiding spot on the third floor of an apartment building. Some of the kitchenware is still in place, but most importantly; a can opener and some cans.

Sometimes another chopper swings by, but Aleph has no problem evading them. However when he scales one of the roofs, he looks down and sees one of the guards he’s seen this morning. The man is trying to hide behind one of the rubble piles.

Aleph looks down upon the man. He is obviously lost and trying to hunker down till daytime. Taking a peace from his torn vest, Aleph descends upon his prey.
Landing right behind the uniform he strikes out with the blindfold, covering the eyes, and closing it with a tight knot.

“What the f-” he tries to scream, frightened before the fingers clasp on his mouth
“Don’t. Move. If trash and kick, the aragami will be upon us, and guess which of us can get away from them?”
This seems to silence him. The rest of it s simple matter of leading him, and avoiding the monsters.

After an hour and a few twisting turns to mix up his sense of direction, you get to a hiding hole.
With a push, Aleph makes the man sit on a nearby rock, taking of the blindfold.

“Where are we?”
The soldier doesn’t really understands, so Aleph repeats the question. He looks around the
“Where... you’ve brought me?”
A sharp cough and the adjusting of your sword doesn’t really puts the point across. He might not seem to mean the point of the question, but somehow Aleph knows that he is on the northern hemisphere, that was once a great metropolis. The name eludes him, but the location is certain

“Who do you work for?”
“For Sergeant Tucker? I mean Branch Director David Strober? Fenris?” he wears the same insignia that the God Eaters worn here and there on their clothes. The word “Fenris” somehow sounds very familiar, and this definitely isn’t the first time he saw the logo.
Aleph steps closer, and grabs him by the collar “WHERE IS SHE?!”
“It’s a HE! The DIRECTOR IS A HE!”

Aleph puts him down and walks up and down a bit.
“So the guys who fought the Aragami work for Fenris too?”
The uniform looks at Aleph like he asked if that yellow thing on the sky is the sun.
“Yes” he nods
“What is the current date?”
“2072 Feburary 6” Aleph doesn’t feel like the date has much significance.

“What were you doing before you got lost?”
“We were executing a plan by branch command” he states coldly
“Was getting caught part of your plan?”
“Nnnnno? Not really? Who are you and what are you doing here anyways?”
Aleph paces around, thinking about what he has heard
“I have to ask you as one man to another, how would I go about getting paid to fight these monsters”
The solder’s bewilderment is reaching new levels
“Ehhh, you would have to be employed by Fenris I think? But that doesn’t make sense, only Fenris can make God Eaters, who the hell are you?”

With a blow Aleph kills the ogretail, and sets the black jaw upon it. Witch a crunch, it chomps down into it’s fake flesh, giving a slightly tingling sensation as the teeth finally find the core within.

A crunch pulls it free and with it’s prize the third limb retracts into the hole. With some exertion, Aleph wills the limb to drop the core, and steps forward to pick it up. The long piece of bone is white and hard to the touch.

“Well it’s time to go” he says yawning. Well this was a tiring night.
“Where are we going?”
“No idea” comes the reply, and Aleph is out of the building already.
“Hold on, what do you mean you have no idea?” the uniform stumbles after him in surprise

Upon exiting the hiding place, Aleph skips onto a rock, and puts his palm to his brows, scanning the horizon.
Locating the highest place within convenient distance. He finally sets his eyes to one of the mostly standing apartment buildings, and jumps down ground level again.

“Now I know. That way.” he points for emphasis.
“But why?”
“Because we need to go there to succeed!”
“Succeed at what?!”
Aleph doesn't leave time for further questions, just begins a forced march towards the selected direction.
After an hour or so, they reach the building, and with some helping trough some of the broken -or completely missing- sections of the stair and floor, he gets his companion to the top.

“Now we wait for the rescue”

“Base, this is eagle-eye six, we are going back. ETA 56-43.

“Don’t worry soldier, it is over now. You are safe.” He doesn’t spare a single look as he is driving the aircraft.

“I’m sure of I’ll be fine”
“Well what’s your name kid?”
“Aleph”
“I got a kid you know named Andrew, energetic little bugger let me tell ya. I remember the time...”

As the pilot goes into the story, Aleph exchanges a worried look with his former captive. We really don't have any memories at all, it should be easy to convince them we have memory loss.

Aleph leaves the pilot, who doesn’t seem even a bit bothered by the absence of his audience.
Balancing away from the cockpit, he sits beside his former captive.

“So where are we headed?” Aleph asks
“To base” The soldier answers very tiredly.

“So you are not telling them?”
“Telling them what?”
“That I am no one of you?”
“I assume you tried?”
“Yes”
Neither of them says anything for a while. Just looking at the wall. Finally the soldier speaks up again.

“Look, I appreciate for saving my life, but I must ask what do you want here?”
“I don’t know. Probably to find answers”
“Such as?”
“Who am I? And what do I do here? And who are you?”
“So you remember nothing?”
Aleph shakes his head.

“Well you are probably a god eater. I mean no human can just fight aragami like that, and destroy them as well. And only Fenrir can create God Eaters”
“What can you tell me?”

He explains that Fenrir has the technology to produce God Eaters, the only ones that can destroy Aragami. After a while, most governments and other organizations have united under Fenris to combat the Aragami, keep up anti-aragami research, and protect civillians. This area, and several thousand kilometers around are under the jurisdiction of Branch 6.

I gotta go for 2 hours, feel free to ask questions. Next update are answers, and landing on Fenrir Branch 6

Over time, the recovery team reaches the installment of Branch six. After crossing what looks like part of a massive ring of fortification, and leaving the habitats of various size and quality, the helicopter lands on a tower of a massive building.

When exiting from the aircraft, the soldier offers a hand to Aleph.
“Oh I am Joseph by the way. Thanks for everything.”
Right after these words a serious-looking woman in business-grab and a notepad approaches them, right after chewing out the medical team.
“Don’t worry, I got your back. This is Ms.Baker. Just be careful with her, she’s got a temper”

“Allright” - the woman arrives - “The medical team took all your medical data from body temperature to dental, EXCEPT” – she raises her voice obviously addressing someone else – THE DAMN IDs!”
Some of the medical team nearby visibly cringes.

“So!” - she turns to the couple, raising her notepad and clicking her pen - “Names boys!”

“You” she stabs Aleph in the chest with the end of her pen, right where the Mouth sleeps “God Eater, what’s your codename?”
“Codename?”
“Yes, the one you go by the field. How green are you?” she stabs again for emphasis
“Well I go by Aleph. And I think I count really green”
“A-l-e-p-h.” she takes note “Like the letter? Alright. Family name?”
“I don’t have one”
She stops the constant scratching on the notepad and slowly looks up. About to open her mouth to say something when Joseph steps forward.

“Joseph McKowen Ma’am” - he salutes - “Third Division, Squad Bombay. This man have came to my rescue when I got separated from my squad-mates during the raid, and lost my radio. He also helped me to get found by the chopper. He has no recollection of the anything before yesterday”
“It’s true” Aleph pitches in “I don’t know who am I and where do I come from”
“Interesting, why didn’t you tell the medical team?” she raises an eyebrow. Before any of them can say anything she cuts them off again “Never mind, stupid question. Well if they aren’t aware that then probably you don’t have any physical injuries that would justify such memory loss.”

She thinks for a few minutes then clicks her pen.
“Alright, Private McKowen, you are to report at section c-12 to the Quartermaster for your reassignment, and have your report done by the end of the day. Then report at Director Strauber for debrief. As for you; you are coming with me.”

She leads him into the building, and trough twisting corridor into a room with cameras.
Suddenly Aleph notices someone familiar; Geoff, the god eater who’s team he saved, then run off from.

Sergeant Geoff, was sipping his coffee. Freshly made, black with thin milk -the real stuff- and some brown sugar. He put the cup under his nose, and let the aroma slowly tickle his nostrils, took a deep sniff and started to drink.

Someone walked past by him, and said hi. Geoff considered himself to be a man of courtesy, and one with good memory. He replied to the greeter automatically without even opening his eyes or stopping to enjoy the warm drink.

“Hi Geoff”
“Hi Aleph”
Five seconds later, the brown nectar have spit forwards in a meter-long arc.
“What the heck man, how did you get here?!”
“Sergeant Geoff, do you know this man?”
“He is the guy we met at the site, you’ve insisted that I write that report”
“There are no ‘that’ records in the system Sergeant, only specified ones”
“It was.. eh… Report 12-04-b1”
“The one about that Chi-you activity in the northern quadrant”
“No no no, 12-34-b1 then!”
“The one about after the.. oh. Right. Interesting, thank you Sergeant. However this changes nothing. We’ll still go trough the procedure”
“Which was..?” Geoff scratches his head
“As the regulation states no course of action in case of found yet unidentified God Eaters, we’ll go by the next closest thing; identification of the God Arc. Then as in all unorthodox matters, we’ll see the director. You are allowed to come with us if you wish”

Walking on the corridor, with Ms.Baker on front, Aleph and Geoff behind.
“So, what are you doing here?” Geoff whispers as not to set off their guide.
“Well you guys were taking for so long to catch me, that I thought that maybe I should come and catch you”
“Are you being frikkin’ serious?!”
“We arrived.”

The lighting is poor in the room, and there are tools and workstations everywhere. Ms bakers goes to the side and reaches behind one of the shelves, and pushes the lights on, revealing a messy room with oil, tools, undetermined parts laying everywhere. That, and some partially assembled God Arcs
“Mechanic Sanois, front and center!”
As the lights switch on a surprised yelp is heard, and all the tools and parts on one of the workstations jump in unision. A small, thin, and androgenic figure comes out from beneath it, with short hair and dirty face. The little mechanic comes forward in straightens up.
“Present Ma’am.”
“How many times have I told you not to skulk like that in the dark like that?”
The little person looks a bit discouraged, and looks at the floor “Many times Ma’am”
“Fourteen times to be exact. Nevermind, we got a… unfound and unidentified God Arc. I want you to ID it” she gestures to Aleph.
“Oh right, away. Put the God Arc there, and your hand with the bracelet into the slot of the machine over there”

“What bracelet?” Aleph asks
“The bracelet you are wearing”
“But I’m not wearing any”
“So what’s that on your hand?”
“A glove” he says, and demonstrates by taking it off. There is a soft *slush* but otherwise the garment comes off easy. Unknown to the others, Aleph sees a few thin, bloodless hole on his hand now, likely to be closed by needles.

Everyone looks at Aleph for a minute, then Geoff turns to the mechanic - “What do you make of this?”
“W-well I’ll need to look at it closer” - sounds the reply in a thin voice, as it’s owner takes the item in question - “and I-it will take some time.”
Taking a look at the woman’s expression quickly adds “B-but examining the God Arc should surely be more routine. Please put it onto that table over there.

After a few minutes of running around, looking at it via different instruments and even a microscope, hammering it and poking it with different tools, Sanois approaches the waiting trio. The mechanic sounds much more confident now than before, radiating a certain excitement
“It’s very weird. Looks like a mix between generation 2 and generation 3 God Arcs. It has a gun mode, and a blade mode, but this is it. The melee and the ranged parts are not meant to be exchanged, they are the part of the mechanism. But that isn’t the most interesting thing”
“Elaborate”
“Standard God Arcs are like artificial Aragami, they use Oracle Cells to hurt aragami, either in close combat to damage the structure of the aragami, or they can “devour” from it to fuel up and have ammunition for ranged attacks. It can also devour to extract the core of a immobilized aragami, and thus keeping them from regenerating. For that the God Arc has to be like an aragami, with the God Eater and the bracelet being it’s core”

The little person starts to walk up and down
“Gen 2 God Arcs either were ranged like a rifle, or close range like a sword. Gen 3 However can change between the two forms, and thus only the ‘Aragami’ parts have to remain, both the rifle and the blade can be changed by a mechanic.”
“So what is so different in this one?”
“Well having no bracelet for one thing, and for the other is that it has no Argami parts.”
“So you are saying..”
“It can’t devour”

Everyone looks at Aleph
“But that Kongou you fought didn’t get up. We didn’t find the core, so you had to devour it.” says Geoff

Aleph raises an eyebrow: “So you are telling me that your god arc does the devouring for you?”

“Yes?”

“How do you do it?”
“Well I like, eh, go to the aragami, like this.” Aleph stands at the middle of the room “Then I devour” pulling down the cleavage of his vest. With a squelching sound the black limb lashes out, two meters long, and opens it’s jaws three meters wide.
“And back” the mouth obediently pops back into his chest

Everyone is silent with some amount of shock, except for the little mechanic who seems so excited that it’s close to exploding
“Do it again! Ehhh, I mean.., it is very interesting, yes.”
“New plan” - states Miss Baker - “We are changing protocol from the “found and unidentified God Arc” to the “found and unidentified bio-material” - she presses her comms – we’ll need a size seven bio-container to the God Arc workshop 65d.”

After some waiting while Sanois pokes around Aleph and bombards him with questions -usually ones he can’t really answer- two man arrives with biohazard suits, pulling a large cart. The container in question is yellow and looks like a large bathtub standing. The front of it is see-trough plastic veil on it. There is no lock whatsoever on it.

“Mr.Aleph step into the container please

“Is this really necessary?”
“It is protocol! Unknown material has to be carried in the container”
“But I walked trough all over base already”
“Aleph, get into the damn cart”
“Fine, fine, fine”

[Fereality, 4%]

The booth not being tall enough, Aleph has to squat inside.
“To the lab boys” Ms. Baker slaps the side of the container, and the two hazmat suit starts to pull it
“Do they really have to wear those space-suits?”
“They are hazmat suits, and regulatory for all members of the recovery team when unkonwn material is bing handled”
“Why aren’t you wearing them then?”
“We are not part of the Science division, thus don’t have to wear them unless there is a level 3 emergence” she also mutters something about messing up hair
“This is stupid”

Ms Baker slaps the side of the container
“Those are the rules.”
“Okay but why is it cold in here?
“70% of the materials have less responding rates if they are being kept under minus celsius conditions”

The little team slowly makes it’s way towards the science section.
