The immediate issue needing your attention is that Sunday, the leader of The Other Light, is trying to surrender to you.

After your leadership managed to destroy TOL's attack force against your Australia base while making it look like an easy job, although in reality it cost you a significant chunk of your forces, the enigmatic autocrat has contacted you directly and offered a conditional surrender.

The Greenland base has been fully automated and requires zero cabals to run. However, it can only be used for one type of product each year, same as the other bases; it can manufacture cybernetics (+1/3 of a cabal due to MEC integration), aerospace parts (that can then be launched), or drones (+1/3 of an army size dot).

Villain biographies can be accessed from the Archives, but here's a quick rundown:

Ithuriel is an Angel that you were able to subvert by quick, and somewhat lucky, installation of a metabolic extension controller. This has given him free will, at the price of damaging his brain enough that after it had reconstructed itself almost no memories remained. Over the years, he was well-treated and given an education, and has volunteered to work with you. He sees the world as a chivalric story, and has proven his loyalty by rescuing Jeb during the Australia base attack.

Quinn was your first MEC agent to be successfully resurrected. She was instrumental in the capture of Misrayim and your first anti-Angel operations, and she had a wide following due to her exhibitionistic ways (once she was rebuilt to look less Frankenstein and more Elvira, so to speak). She died during an attempt to eliminate Tsion Ben-Judah. She is currently in Hell.

Kat is the head of the Desolator Corps after Ziggy's retirement and cryostasis. She is a heavy MEC, meaning that her body is a bag of organs with a head on top of it, controlling a 12 foot tall bipedal robotic frame. Her specialty is chemical warfare and her hobby is cooking. Unlike Ziggy, it's possible to tell the two apart. Good at small-squad tactics.

Jeb is your space program liaison. He lives to fly. He's the first man in space in the Millennial Kingdom era, and was instrumental in bringing down Azrael, the Angel of Death. He should not be trusted with military command due to his recklessness, but as a solo warrior he is excellent.

Dr. Zakharov (he insists on the title) is your head of R&D and specializes in physics. He is in charge of the sonic research program directly. He is a much better scientist than his predecessor, Vee, but does not have the charisma.

Damien is another heavy MEC, except that this person does not use a frame often, preferring instead to control a large number of drones RTS style. A competent general, Damien's stated life goal is to give the ultimate blowjob. Used to date Ziggy.

Weaver was a sea captain who ended up working with you during the Styr Magnor incident. She has since gone her own way, more or less. Excellent at logistics and at training others.

Ithuriel doesn't quite understand the concept of a covert operation; in this case, it means put some armor over the wings and use the recruiting drive to learn how to act in society. That goes surprisingly well, and the "Legion of Light" recruiting drive, mostly done in areas with a strong TOL presence, is successful; your propagandists this time focus on military preparedness, taking a page out of TOL's book, and recruit people who your earlier drives have overlooked. You now have people who are raring for a fight, even to the point that some of them get agent-grade MEC implants wired in even although they can feel pain, just to be ready to fight again at full capacity after they fall. Ithuriel is impressed. The people working with him don't trust him much farther than they can throw him at first, but eventually, he wins them over by being indefatigable and completely earnest in his efforts. The recruiting team messes with the renegade Angel a little by getting him to unknowingly deliver movie quotes in conversation, the winning prize going to "Nothing gets past me. My reflexes are too fast. I would catch it."

A few TOL cells formally lodge a protest about being poached.

Although your recruiters manage to keep Ithuriel's presence on their tour secret, a few "candid" pictures of the Angel - who, despite having been restored to full function by your Underground Monrorail and Tree Of Life allies, seems to be asexual - make the internet rounds, causing some swooning among your female agents as well as some of the guys.

Jeb and Valentina (who is getting on in years, although she says she's nowhere near 100) resume their work on Cordylon Station, the Cosmist trying to rein in the test pilot's enthusiasm. Cordylon herself is, of course, overjoyed.

The station is now made of a "fishing hole" in the ice layer of the canopy, a service module, a habitat, a greenhouse, and an electrolysis unit; the last addition before heavy launches can begin is a workshop where final assembly can be conducted.

This requires rotating the station crew, which ends up with Jeb for the first time in his life stating boredom in what has become a routine infra-canopy launch; the workshop and the electrolysis system are tested by launching four small equatorial satellites that will be used as radio relays. Over the course of six months, Cordylon uses their cameras to complete her star chart, confirming that by the look of it, solar and sidereal timing seem to have desynchronized somewhat.

Valentina elects to stay on Cordylon Station with the workers there, while Jeb returns home after getting a promise that nobody is to launch an orbital capsule without giving him a fair chance to compete for the pilot spot.

Cordylon Station has enough spares, people, and greenhouse space to be self-sufficient for a few years should it be necessary to neglect it; the photos and videos showing vigorous orbital activity are used as part of your recruitment efforts, and the people of Misrayim feel proud that their nation has contributed the bulk of space efforts in this world of enforced flatness.

The Temple Tribunal ignores the whole thing as much as possible, only sending out a curt bulletin reminding everyone that the stars and planets were created for signs and wonders, and no signs or wonders are necessary anyore, so believers should ignore the cosmos entirely. You notice that among teenagers with believing parents, space-related illicit downloads are almost as common as porn. The Cosmists build a somewhat more modern version of that one space sim game from 1993 and distribute it as part of the Packet.

Cordylon herself still won't confirm if she is dating Val, Jeb, or both. This does nothing to stop 'shipper artists from speculating.

Given how spread out the asteroid belt is, using a "carrier" spacecraft would actually make the survey take longer. The current plan is to haul the probes on the canopy in one go, and in that sense you do have a carrier spacecraft, and then launch them at various intervals during the year, so as to use the Oberth effect to get a gravity assist in the various directions that they will have to go.

Another Message from the "Department of Crazy Plans"

Operation: Seeing Is Believing

Unlike the last 2 plans from this department, this one does not directly leverage Biblical Law or History. This one is leveraging People.

Currently we have an understanding of what the Final Day will appear as, and have now heard the so called plan of the Devil's Army has for breaking that narrative is a direct assault, then raising their flags behind Turbojesus while the devil keeps him distracted with the on going script.

The Idea behind it is to show TJ failing in front of his believers. How many believers can actually see the 'final battle' in person? A Few hundred? A couple Thousand? A million maybe?

How is the Rest of humanity going to observe this astounding feat?

Media Coverage.

And this is where I would like the class to take out their history books to the year 1968. The Subject? "The War Of The Worlds" By H.G Well, narrated by one Orson Welles.

A work of fiction, spoken over radio, that was so well dramatized it caused a mass panic. People Truly believed that alien creatures from Mars were set to invade the earth.
