Welcome back to Xenomorph Quest! Last time we Molted Grimalkin into a Queen, Scouted the Colony, created our first Gargoyle and began a tunnel to the colony's sewers. Tragedy struck as Twitch was wounded and cut off from the hive at a large ranch. Our shadow is in danger hive!

> You are Grimalkin

With a cold flash of fury you feel the fear and pain that your faithful, if excitetable shadow was injured. He rapidly explains what happened over the mental connection. He had seen a large group of humans leave the large farm on foot. They had been lightly armed and in his mind, no threat. He had taken the initiative and begun sabotaging their vehicles. Unfortunately one of the humans had returned and spotted Twitch, shoulder deep in a engine and had promptly fired at Twitch, wounding him severely. Twitch had reflexively returned fire with his venomous quills, killing the young human. Unfortunately the group had returned, drawn by the gunshot and the humans gurgling screams and forced Twitch to take cover and hide. He will need help to escape and the humans are highly alarmed and actively guarding the farmhouse and barns.

> Twitch is severely wounded and cannot escape alone. He is currently stealthed in a old piece of farm equipment.

> The farm has 6 inhabitants and 10 Farmhands. Twitch killed a young human male after being wounded. The alarm is raised and the humans will be difficult to sneak by. They are lightly armed (pistols, rifles, shotguns)

> RELEASE THE OX

A Earthshaking roar of rsge and hate echoes put through the hive as Ox recieves your leave to enact his rescue of Twitch. The tunnels shake as the Destroyer charges forth at full speed. Minion drones flatten themselves against the walls and dive into alcoves as Ox barrels by. You catch glimpses of him through their eyes.

He dwarfs the oother members of your hive, second only to you on size.. His armor plates gleam like spiked, black mirrors, interlocking into an impenetrable shell of chitin as hard as steel. His head is coated in a thickened shell, thick and heavy it matches the rest of him. The sharp, thick tusks that jut from his jaw only serve to heighten the impression of an unstoppable juggernaut.

Ox shall cleanse these transgressors from the planet. If they are lucky, it will be quick.

> send Tiny and Starscream.

You mentally redirect Tiny and Starscream to assist Ox, even the enormous Destroyer may need help. Tiny bows low and bolts off at a sprint while Starscream hisses and launches himself from the small hill above the hive, gaining altitude and speed as they follow the, Literal, path of destruction behind the enraged Ox. Desert trees are splintered, boulders shattered into gravel and an unfortunate tortoise is literally squashed into paste by the unstoppable charge of Ox. Vengeance is coming.

The soft earth of these western grasslands is torn in great chunks by your feet as you continue your full speed charge towards your injured companion. Rage hot in your mind. You should have been there with him. He gets hurt without you. Why didnt he just wait for you?

You feel the familiar presence of Tiny and Starscream as they follow, Tiny at a safe distance while Starscream rides the winds directly above you.

You near the ranch and slow to a stop as you catch your breath, Tiny sits nearby, snorting heavily. He is insistent that even a warrior of your... size... must take a moment to plan ahead.

You roar in rage and startled pain and reflexively change direction, crushing a car to scrap metal under the weight of your charge. The farmhands use the moment to spread out and continue firing from cover, the rounds plinking from your heavy armor without effect.

Tiny greets you over the hivemind as he leaps past you, impacting a unlucky famhand and ripping him to shreds. That leaves one terrified looking farmhands desperately trying to reload his pistol.

Of course they'll have to go slow to make sure he doesn't sink too fast and die during the trip.
>>
>>1065072
Instead of roaring just have him burp.
>>
> Finish him!

You rear back onto your back legs, grabbing the horrified humans back legs in one massive claw while you grip his torso in the other. You can see the terrified humans inside the house watching with tears in their eyes and one young female screaming "Johnny! NO!" As you tighten your grip and pull in both directions. The humans agonized scream cuts off with a gory rip as you tear him in half. You idly toss his top half through the front window, earning another round of horrifed shrieks and inneffective gunfire. You snort in contempt.

Tiny jumps as a rifle round puffs the dirt near where he is currently devouring his freshly disemboweled farmhand. Your baleful gaze swivels to the other human who had been patrolling near the barn, he stands tall on the roof of the barn, frantically working the bolt of his rifle. He never see's the black streak that passes within inches of him.

You watch proudly as his rifle drops from nerveless hands. He drops to his knees, his torso begins to slide away diagonally before he drops from the roof with two wet thuds.

>>
> Ox and Twitch reunion time

While Starscream and Tiny stack the resin entombed humans in a neat pile you have more pressing issue, your tiny companion and a nap. For starters. You send a mental message to Twitch. Its safe, come out already. From a secluded corner of the barn a small figure emerges, limping toward you rapidly. Twitch burbles happily and nuzzles your enormous snout. He has a partially healed crater in the carapace on back leg. You growl softly and allow him to clamber onto your back, resting between two armor plates. Lets get you back home.

As you head back to the hive, Tiny and Twitch riding atop the pile of captured humans, you send a message to the minions telling them to bring the newly acquired cattle to the rest of the herd along with the bodies of the slaughtered farmhands.

You leave behind smoking rubble and shattered vehicles. The large amount of bullet shells on the ground would lead Col-Sec to believe it was the work of human thugs or raiders looking to supply their ships.

> how do we want to use the eggs?
Also, have Grimalkin rusb egg production? (10 small eggs, 5 warrior) will stall egg production for a day.
>>
>>1065440
let's start by using 10 of the cattle with small eggs and the 5 other warrior eggs on humans.
Grimalkin doesn't have to rush really it would reduce the qualiy of the eggs likely and would be detrimental to a potential "evolution" of Grimalkin in the future.
if we lay low for a bit we could setup some infrastructure and organized two team lead by either Tiny or Twich and have Bob receive more Drone to make a lot of tunnels and defenses in case of a counter attack.
We don't really need to be more than a hundred right now since it would cause food shortage and would lead us to unorganized rushed attacks.
>>
>>1065440
poop out the eggs Grimalkin but slowly, No rushing.
>>
>>1065440
Let's not rush the Queen. Use the eggs we got now on the humans and then the next eggs can be used on the cattle.
>>
>>1065440

>>
> Do not rush egg production
> you are Ox

You make your way to the hive entrance after several hours. Tiny and Starscream begin unloading the hive as your hives new Builder and a pair of minion drones emerge. The Builder cradles Twitch gently and rushes him to the Nest of Healing after you remind him, pointedly, to be careful with twitch. You take your vigil by the hive entrance and fall into a deep, well deserved sleep...

> inside the egg chamber

Tiny and Starscream finish securing the humans to the wall and begin placing eggs in front of the chosen few. The rest can wait their turn.

How does armor work, anyway? Is it a flat number that damage needs to surpass to affect the HP pool or is it an ablative value that is reduced before HP? It's a flat resistance value, right?

Gotta get a move on the evolution train.

By they way, I've found the perfect mutation/breath weapon weapon for Starscream; Chlorine Trifluoride.

A chemical so violently reactive that it will vaporize rocks, make water explode (releasing a cloud of acids), burn asbestos and ignite glass and sand on contact. Oh, it’s byproducts are carcinogenic, too...

WE ARE WINGED DEATH! DESTRUCTION IS OUR PURPOSE, AND HELL OUR HOME!!!
>>
> You are Bob.. if I read the counts right.

You haul yourself from the tunnel. Your personal project is more intensive than you thought. You wave 2 minions into the chamber and they are followed by your younger match. The smaller Builder bows low and hurrys to assist the dronez to insure the tunnels quality.

You grab a bite to eat and contemplate the various projects you could accomplish today. You check in on Twitch, currently floating in a healing pod being tended by biomechanical limbs. Efficient and precise. Just like yourself. You snort proudly and continue on.

I'm assuming that the Xenos have just been keeping the meat sealed in resin until its chow time.

>>1065614
Ah, but the beauty of it is that Starscream could also get a Chemical Resilience that makes him immune to his own weapon.

If folks aren't thrilled by the idea, we can still make fucking bio-bombs with the stuff in it. This shit is worth investing in, just for the sheer destruction it'll cause. And its not like we have to worry about a little acid.

>>1065623
> Shaping Chamber
> Cannon
> Shells loaded with Chlorine Fluoride.
>>
>>1065623
....Yes that's what I meant exactly.
>>
>>1065641
>And its not like we have to worry about a little acid.

Other than the fact xenomorphs are not in fact chemically nonreactive and can be burned by certain acids.

And keeping in mind that the stronger the xenos get the stronger everything else will have to get to balance it out.

And it's a little unfair to the hoomans since their shtick is ranged weaponry and being clever, we start using tons of ranged attacks and it pretty much emasculates them. Well, until they start orbital bombardments and artillery barrages. But that beats everything.
>>
Should also keep in mind the other room options from the pastebin.

> Secure egg chamber (Crafted doors and thick reinforced walls ensure safety of Eggs and security of captured hosts)

> Throne chamber (Highly secure, easily defended Central room housing the Queen)

> Underground pools (allows access to underground aquifers, who knows where they lead?)

> Sparring chamber (increases combat ability of warriors and drones. +1 to combat damage)

> Communal area (allows xenos to socialize more easily, a large open space with many incoming tunnels is good for surprises too)

> Pool of knowledge (allows a hive architect to research new mutations and apply them to create new egg varieties)
*this allows advanced mutations to instantly be created by a host instead of running through their whole mutation process.IE; allows you to create praetorian eggs or shadow eggs or Brute eggs.

> Murder holes (concealed tunnels throughout the hive allow rapid redeployment and ambush opportunities)
>>
>>1065656

You take a moment to inspect your claws. They have served well and you know they would rend flesh in combat. But what you've seen in the Hivemind from the engagement with the humans, they may not be sufficient. You must improve your hives capability. You must keep the advantage in combat.

> Enhanced acid bombs for Starscream!

You set to work, mixing chemicals and crafting muscles and chitin. You call Starscream in and bid him to lay down, rapidly pushing his mind into adeep sleep. You incise the plates on his chest, exposing the sensitive nerves and tissues as you Integrate the controls with his nervous system. Next you craft the payload. A especially corrosive and reactive version of your own acidic blood fills 2 egg shaped chitin shells that will be mounted on his chest and abdomen.

> Custom blades for Twitch!

You call Twitch in, minus a slight limp that fades by the minute he is mostly healed. you pick him up bodily and place him on the central station. Mentally you subvert his mind and he lapses Into a deep slumber. You repeat the process and Incise away the plates along his forelimbs, exposing the nerves and rapidly applying the biomechanical leads that will allow him to control the weapons. You craft specialized muscles and graft them to his forelimbs and encase them In chitin plates. Then you begin crafting the extending blades. Viciously sharp shards of chitin, they taper to needle sharp points after nearly a foot of razor edges. You, carefully, place them Inside their new sheaths and feel the muscles and tissues graft onto their bases. Twitch will carve a bloody path through anything he comes across.

You lift the panicked Shadow to your head level and give a triumphant screech directly In his face. You turn and Idly toss him back Into the pile with an Indignant yelp.

You mentally pressure a gargoyle and three drones to accompany you. They hastily drag themselves from the pile and accompany you. Youre hesded to Investigate that human outpost In the mountains.

Yes. We want to make sure that there is no way for the colony to make any calls for help before or during our attack.

I wonder if they've made any preparations for human raiders and space pirates? Increased guard patrols, curfew for citizens, spotlights at night, etc. The only person who saw us was that guard from the Abel ranch, and he was so terrified that his superiors must have thought he was tripping balls or just snapped, maybe even killed his own friend.

I'd be fine with MURDILATE, but if someone comes by and spots blood, they'll raise an alert.
>>
>>1075710
That's fine, we can have Starscream do nocturnal aerial reconnaissance sometime in next few days. He doesn't have to get too close; all we need to know is whether they've mobilized their forces in anticipation of some kind of combat. If we can distract them by, say, triggering an explosion somewhere in the colony, our forces can then move in. Then, when we simultaneously bring down both the Comms in the colony and the Power Plant, they'll be crippled.

I still want us to do one last scouting mission of the colony, to investigate both the Col-Sec Headquarters and to check out the Mayor. Don't want to find out after the fact that the Mayor or the Col-Sec commander had a separate comms unit in their building, and they managed to send out a distress call.

You make your way toward the mine entrance eager to sink your claws into human flesh. As you approach you take note of a thick cable connected the lights mounted in the ceiling of the mine. A spinning leap and slash leaves the cable in two sparking pieces. The lights immediately die while startled yells emerge from the depths of the mine.you adhere yourself to the ceiling with your minions in tow, time to hunt....

You star down at the humans several feet below you. They are advancing slowly, using dim lights in a single file line. As the middle of the group passes underneath you you give the order to drop.

With a grisly crunch of shattering legs you land heavily atop one miner, smashing his head into the rock while you last out with your tail and crush two miners against the wall with agonized groans. You see through the eyes of your minions as they tear flesh, shatter bones and rapidly secure the living miners in resin.

With a pathetic war cry a large human male rushes you with a pickaxe held high. Amateur. You spin to the side and spear him through the middle with your tailblade. You pin the gurgling human to the ground and rip his insolent form to pieces.

A terrified scream sounds from behind you as a human attempts to run and is instead tackled by the gargoyle. The mans groans and sobs of terror and pain are quickly muffled by a resin cocoon. You growl in pride of your minions. They've done well.

You make your way towards the security shack while your gargoyle peels off toward the comms shack. You must silence their ability to call for aid.

The eager gargoyle taps gently on the door with his tail until with a sleepy groan of "ughh coming!!!" The technician opens it. Whatever human he had expected to see probably didnt look like the foot of spiked chitin that pierced his thigh. The gargoyle leaps in after him and the technicians pained groans are rapidly muffled by drying chitin. Once the technician is subdued the gargoyle leaps into action, smashing panels and screens, shredding wires and crushing circuits.

Meanwhile your minion drones stack up outside the security shack and take their positions as you take s running leap at the door. The secure hinges cant hope to withstand your charge as the door pops off its hinges, flattening a unfortunate guard. The remaining two guard stand rapidly and begin trying to draw their pistols while screaming at each other

"PHILIPS!!!! NO!!!"

"THE FUCK IS THAT THING!!! KILL IT!!!"

in the seconds available to them before they are overwhelmed by a tide of black carapaces one of them manages to get off a shot at you. It ricochets from the armor of your side with barely a smear. You rapidly educate him on his folly by lifting him into the air via a tailblade in the shoulder.

> Have one of the Gargoyles use a sonic screech to distract the marines, then Tiny drops down from above.
>>
Im assuming the 19 was for Cleanse this place so I apologize if im wrong...
> 19!!! Excellent success!!!

You act quickly, these humans will pay for their insult and harm to the mighty hive. You mentally redirect your surviving drones and gargoyle. The gargoyle swoops down and shatters a window to the rear, filling his lungs and releasing a screech that not only shatters the windows but destroys the eardrums of most of the miners inside.

With the miners thoroughly distracted you raise your claws and tear through the ceiling, dropping among them with single minded fury. They. Must. PAY.

you face ten lightly armed miners. Most of them have their hands over their ears and are cursing "Tinnitus" as a "Cruel mistress". Perfect. Time to make an opening.

You separate your tail blades and lash out at the three closest miners, your razor sharp blades cleaving limbs from bodies and heads from their necks. You leap forward and slam a miner into the door barricade, crushing his spine and shattering the blockage. Your minions pour in, leaping and slashing at any targets available. The miners attempt to put up a last stand but you barrel into their group, hacking and slashing, nailing men to the walls and ceiling with your tail blades. Your minions follow your charge, quickly overwhelming the men and painting the inside of the bunkhouse in gore.

You send a minion drone to explore the depths of the mine. He darts away eagerly, crawling through the pitch darkness of the tunnels, searching for anything that can benefit the hive...

He comes to a tunnel face that has a large machine at the end of it. He also notices a large metallic mineral deposit on the tunnel face. From his eyes you deduce you can gather information on one of the finds..

You are Grimalkin, you are currently reclinging gently on a growing lattice of biomechanical struts, the beginnings of a throne. You are reviewing Tiny's raid of the mining outpost which led to the death of a hive member. You relive the unfortunate drones last moments carefully, over and over, watching his last sights. These human "Weapons" are an advantage that cannot be allowed. You must arm your hives warriors appropiately in the future. Tiny must be punished for his brashness also. Your hive is not yet so numerous that losses can be tolerated.

Before you nod offf to an exhausted sleep you send the idle minion drones (6) to assist Bob in digging the deep tunnels (70% progress). The hive will grow to accomadate a great many soon.

That done you turn to the serious business. You call Tiny before you with an imperious mental command. The disgraced Reaver walks into your chamber slowly, his head bowed low. Tiny prostrates himself before you and awaits your judgement.

You regard him coolly for a moment. Death, mutilation, banishment, implantation. They all cross your mind. But a warrior of his calibre deserves a shot at redemption. He will venture out into the wild alone and return only when he has found a suitable host to create a warrior to replace the fallen.

You set off to the west, headed for the swamps that Grimalkin somehow knows reside that way. You journey through the night, stopping only to feed on small desert rodents and reptiles and catch short naps. You rest at dawn of the next day, wishing to remain unseen. You set off again when thick clouds darken the sky with rain.

You journey for days, seeing occassional herds of cattle and strange, multi-legged animals that bound in a strange gait that is vastly different to the colony livestock. Must be a native species.

As you journey on you find the land grows lower and damper, many spots are filled with stinking pools of water and decaying plants. Brightly colored creatures creep and crawl in the mud and muck. You have arrived at the far swamps. Now you must hunt for an appropiate offering...

If we can bring back several aquatic species, I say we make both a Warrior and a Drone. Expanding the Hive to include underwater chambers and tunnels would be an excellent defense against invaders, and any traps we built in those areas would be nearly invisible.

Also, I still say that Tiny has to be the one to build the tomb for his fallen brother. It'll hammer in how important his position of war leader is if he is the one putting them into their graves.

>1!!! Critical failure!!!!
> Search raised areas
> Xenomorph monsterhunter is a go.

You decide to search the raised areas of this swamp, any creature that lives here must be fearsome, venomous or just plain nasty in order to survive. Perfect gift for Grimalkin.

You creep slowly through the brush, your claws squishing in the mud, louder than you like. You part a small group of reeds and find a large clearing, the ground actually packed into a bowllike depression nearly thirty yards across, half full of brackish water. And playing happily in it are some truly odd creatures.

About half your size they are quadrepedal creatures with thick, rubbery grey skin, their backs and heads covered by a large, bony shell. Sturdy limbs ending in blunt claws that look suited to digging more than tearing flesh, their jaws are bony beaks lined with slight serrations. A cluster of shattered shells to the side of the depression catches your eye, these must only be hatchlings! Perfect, young and naive they will be easy prey.

You creep closer to one of the "Hyper turtles" and prepare to pounce when a sudden thought emerges to you. This is a nest. Something BIG made this nest. Something BIG laid these eggs. And something that put this much effort into making a nest would probably not leave its young unguarded...

A rasping, rumbling hiss sounds behind you and you leap forward as what you had assumed a small hill at the edge suddenly lunges at you. Your rapid reflexes turn the snap that wouldve torn you in half into a simple headbutt that flings you across the depression. You impact the muddy ground with a wet *smack* that leaves a small crater in the soft earth

You perch atop her shell, staring down at her head, the beady eyes fixed on you, full of helpless rage. You flex your claws and leap, ready to finish this....

Perhaps she wasnt so weak after all.. you weakly rise from where you had been seized in her jaws and thrown. Your carpace is cracked and oozing acidic blood and one of your tail blades was sheared off. You unclench your claws and drop a large handful of torn brain tissue onto the marshy ground.

You turn and regard the lightly twitching Hyper turtle, a empty eye socket evidence of your final blow. Her young cluster against her sides and squeak piteously.
