Part 8 – Session 1

Your heart doesn't beat any more than your lungs breathe in this place. So the roaring thunder in your head is just the righteous desire for battle that you really can't help but feel when confronted by any threat. The spells of concealment your opponents have up is obscuring them well; you can see their vague, shifting outlines and the ripple of their movements. They are all armed with half-and-a-half swords, but you can't tell anything more than that – the Blur or Camouflage spells they are using conceals even their gender from you.

The hesitation that they are feeling as a result of your threat is very obvious.

The surge of adrenaline clears your head some, and you tighten your grip on Siobhan, while lifting your other in readiness to cast one of the few spells you have left. Except....you finally understand the last few movements and words needed for the spells you were building. The last few pieces, falling into place as Siobhan sings vengeful hate in your mind, her wordless music more complex, more intense than her previous communications. As the enemies shift uncertainly in place you are cognizant of untapped potentials in your mind, openings which you could fill with spells you have just fully understood, or that you could pull from the Astral Fundament itself.

You tighten your grip on Siobhan, who is still ablaze with coruscating energies of many sorts, not to mention filled with your own personal power; the trio of unknown warriors start to maneuver to deal with you....

You gesture, calling upon the power of the Darkness that Abides and the Darkness that Devours, and gesture expansively. Writhing bolts of utter darkness erupt from your hand and slither through the air, striking at the shifting figures of the camouflaged enemies. The one above you is fortunate; the bold strikes the ceiling above him. The other two are not nearly so lucky, one giving a sharp and feminine cry of pain and jerking back, the other giving a much more masculine grunt as he nearly doubles over.

You casually sidestep the first one that comes for you from above, he who so deftly avoided your dark spell. In doing so you also sidestep the female, who lashes out wildly with her weapon; hers glances off your chainmail without even marring it. The third reaches for you, their hand igniting in a pale silvery-green flame – a knight's gift from Her Majesty, and his grasp upon your shoulder burns like slivers of ice tearing through your soft flesh.

You feel the ice trying to take hold of your flesh and root you to this spot, but you jerk your arm from his grasp.

Of course, now you have them right where you want them....

[X] One blow for each of them and cast Dazing Molten Orb on the knight.

Even as you lash out with Siobhan, smashing their swords away and driving her hard against their armor, you are incanting one of your most effective spells. As a means to injure and harm, it isn't the most terribly effective, but it really isn't meant to cause massive harm. What it does do, it does very well.

A you finish your final blow, a vicious upswing that hammers the male be you in the gorget and leaves him shaken, you take a single pace back....and thrust your palm at the knight. This time you aim for the center body mass, rather than his chest, and the globule of white hot steel that erupts from your hand spatters him and his companions alike, sinking into the cracks of their mail and leaving all three smoking and two of them breathlessly huffing in pain as well.

The knight however, staggers in place, his hands shaking and his movements jerky and uncoordinated as the potency of the spell leaves him nerveless and dazed. The other two haven't picked up on his difficulty yet, and round on you, moving a bit closer and lashing out with their heavy blades. Siobhan meets their assault with glee and your bracer takes the brunt of a couple of attacks when they time them together. They coordinate well, these two, but you clearly outmatch them; not one blow gets through your defenses.

As the burning metal continues to scorch their armor, the padding beneath, and their soft flesh, you step up, your eyes blazing and Siobhan singing their death songs in your head. The knight will be out of it for at this exchange....the other two are starting to panic now as well, though they have a bit more stamina left in them. You could allow them to leave, of course, but you have no idea whom they might be under the camouflage, and no way to take bounty or bribe from them.

Killing them would be all too easy.

[] Recall and cast Haste and give them each two good strikes to take them out.
[] Give the knight your sword and hit the other two with Mythic Dragon's Breath – which will undoubtedly kill them.
[] Mythic Dragon's Breath for the dazed knight, and kill one of the mooks; the other you will interrogate.
[] True Sight will give you the ability to see through their camouflage, and then you can hit each of them once.

She's seeing an exchange of swordplay that is terrifying. Akko is casually holding off three competent warriors who are magically invisible, or the next best thing, and flinging magic around at the same time in a manner that is supposedly impossible to manage while in close quarters combat.

>>
Rolled 10, 9 + 71 = 90 (2d10 + 71)

[X] True Sight will give you the ability to see through their camouflage, and then you can hit each of them once.

>Behold: a crit with Siobhan Glorious. This is the damage each of them takes.

You take Siobhan and strike the prominent ruby on your chest piece, utterly destroying it in a sacrifice as you call out the names of power and invoke the Overmind to cast aside all veils and illusions. With a flash of silver light your eyes ignite and you can see the truth – all of the truth.

The female githyanki is a skulker whose sash proclaims her skill at fighting the enemy in a number of badges, honors, and awards; her sword is a potent weapon, though no Silver Sword. It is her spell that allowed them to remain hidden, and her skills are undoubtedly focused on murder by surprise. The flesh along her arms is blackened and burned by the freezing flames you have surrounded yourself with, and her armor is nearly ruined by Siobhan's monstrously destructive aura. Her bright ruby eyes and serrated ears indicate she's a little older than you are, but the fact you can see so much white n her eyes tells you how terrified she is. Her mouth is open in a moue of terror, and you suspect the knight scares her slightly less than you do for her to be still fighting.

The male is a warrior, through and through, and undoubtedly is doing this at the behest of the knight out of basic duty. His awards are common enough, but they nearly cover his entire regalia, and he has a number attached to his belt as well. His skill is impressive, but he's utterly outmatched in you, but he refuses to abandon his cadre member. He too is badly injured, though his armor is in better condition.

You recognize the knight immediately – the idiot who interrupted you with Yashi. Still dazed, he is coming to, but it will be far too late. As you suspected, his personal symbol - incorporating Her Majesty's sigil in it – marks the bugbear as his. Undoubtedly he planned to make an accusation to force you into a compromising position.

The pretty skulker jerks back, her braids with their jewels glittering in the light of your eyes; she obviously recognizes the spell you just cast. Dawning horror makes her eyes bulge as she realizes just how outclassed she is in magic and skill-at-arms alike.
>>
>>1022448
Oh dear, this really wasn't their best idea.
>>
>>1022448
Siobhan shrieks gleefully inside your head as you casually decapitate the warrior in a wide swing that brings the blade within inches of the poor woman's eyes, angling the blade up past his gorget and into the base of his brainstems; between acid, ice, fire, and lightning, his brains boil inside his skull before he can take another breath. You step to the side and drive Siobhan up into the knight's solar plexus even as the woman tries to retreat from you. The knight gasps, his eyes clearing long enough to see you blatantly ignoring him. His existence is inconsequential, and he dies in a manner no more interesting than he presented himself in the first time you met him.

You step forward and bring Siobhan down as she howls gleefully, and the skulker shrieks telepathically as you slice open her arm from shoulder to elbow and then move into her, Siobhan's wicked barbs catching at the joints and ligaments even as her aura ruins the soft flesh she's embedded in. With a cruel twist you bring the woman to her knees, and pull her ruined arm up, holding it up over her head as the smell of tormented flesh fills the room.

Not sure of this one, like would that pretty much end her career as a combat caste?
>>
>>1022460
Unless she get it fixed/replaced, or learned still spell, yes. Akko is pretty sure she's what they call an Arcane Duelist, a sort of cut-rage magus with a much different spell set (which includes healing spells, though nothing as potent as Regeneration).
>>
>>1022461
Cut-rate, rather.

>You want her, the names of everyone involved in this trap, and a good reason for not killing her.

A weregild for that kind of thing would probably be everything she owns and her eternal servitude.

Might as well give her some of the same treatment our slave got from the bugbear.
>>
[X] Write in? Now would be an excellent time to reveal all you know of this matter and whether or not others were involved. Also, there are injuries you must tend to.
[X] Ask her if she would prefer paying you a weregild or would she prefer to just die.
[X] Ask her what in the Names of the Dead Gods what she was thinking.

She is breathing n tiny huffs of air through her circled lips, her spurs hidden as she trembles. The flesh of her arm bakes, burns, scalds, and sizzles as she kneels before you, half supporting herself with her now free hand. Her sword no longer glows; what magics she placed into it are gone with her concentration or loss of the weapon. One of the arcane duelists then, a lesser gish, though still gish. Skulkers among gish. Pathetic.

“Death? Or will you pay weregild?” She looks up at you with eyes half crazed with fear and pain. “You should probably include the names and honors of those who knew about this little bit of stupidity if you want to keep the arm at all.” Tilting Siobhan slightly brings a fresh psychic howl from the duelist, before you return the blade to it's upright position.

“W-were-weregild i-is y-yoursss....f-for th-th-the t-t-t-t-”

You rip Siobhan out of her arm, and she grabs her upper arm just under the shoulder with a whistling scream. Her arm collapses at her side, useless and ruined, though not yet irreparably. Walking around her slowly, you glance at poor Yustuoc, who is staring at you like you are one of the demons that inhabit this hell she believes herself to be in. Not that she's very far wrong, come to think of it.

“You can heal?” She nods rapidly. “Now?” Another quick nod and a soft, pained whimper. “You will heal my slave.” Though she tries to rise, she can't manage it; she can barely get her legs under her to remain sitting.

With a commanding gesture, you point to the floor in front of the broken skulker; Yu moves slowly and gingerly, but she manages to waddle to the maimed warrior. The warrior doesn't speak or gesture, but her eyes glaze over in the manner of one castign a spell, and you find yourself watching her carefully. The instant the spell is finished her focus is gone, and you realize you could assault her instantly and by surprise.

With a cold chill you suddenly understand what has happened, and you swallow your heart.
>>
The scratches the bugbear gave your slave heal immediately, and when she stands it is clearly without pain. She walks over to kneel at your side as you study the warrior carefully. “I do not know who you are. Your training was adequate, your skills up to par. Unfortunately you were not really prepared for, well, me.” The tip of your Lady moves and her head immediately comes up, her eyes terrified and her pupils are deep pools of darkness surrounded by tiny ruby rings. The glowing arcs, sparkling chill, the flames and seething glow light up her grey skin. “What, in the Names of All Dead Gods, possessed you into following along with this insanity?”

She looks towards the knight. “Sir P-Palkir whuh-wished t-to buh-bring you up on ch-charges w-when you ret-rettaliated for hih-his abuse of your ssssslave....” Her agony makes her speech severely stilted. “Huh-he w-was enc-couraged t-t-to d-do ssso by o-other n-n-nuh-knights....th-th-three of th-them.” You lay Siobhan's tip along the shoulder exposed by the destruction of her chain mail. She makes a high-pitched keening call, a feral in distress, as you slowly burn a symbol into the exposed skin. “IDONKNOWTHEMIDONKNOWTHEMIDONKNOWTHEM!

You pull Siobhan away and she whines softly in your mind. “There is a rune spell. The Rune of the Unseen One.” She nods rapidly, her breaths uneven. “You can make it?” She nods rapidly again, and whimpers as you bring Siobhan closer to her shoulder. “You know what it means to betray me?” Her eyes close and she bares her spurs in a grimace of despair. “You will make me this rune. You will enchant it. I will provide the materials. You will provide three more slaves to me. You will arrange for spellcrafters to provide me with increased prowess of mind and body. You will do this in twelve hours.” She nods, tears falling from her eyes. “You will make sure none will speak of the matters.” She nods just once, sniffling softly.

Bit confused by this one. Like is she so fucked that even when we're not in front of her, she's not allowed to heal herself without our permission? Also we're trusting our slave to keep an eye on her?

>With a cold chill you suddenly understand what has happened, and you swallow your heart.
Also I'm a bit confused by this, if I was more familiar with the system, would I understand why this of all things unsettles Akko? Like is it that we've broken this Githyanki's spirit so thoroughly she's not even bothering to raise her guard?

>>1022492

Akko will deal with it; it and Siobhan are taking all this down as weregild owed to Akko.

Sending Yu with her means that Yu can verify for you all that she has promised to do is done. Otherwise you really do have to trust her word, even though the Silver Swords will ensure there is a record of the oaths and vows.

On the other hand, she is well aware you could have simply killed her. Or done worse.
>>
>>1022508
Akko leveled up from 15th to 16th level. She gained several new abilities, including 6th level spells, and the ability to counterattack any caster who successfully casts defensively after they cast the spell - she can't interrupt the spell, but she gets a free attack if they actually manage to cast the spell.

In other words, she's realized she's just passed a milestone, and she's that much closer to being noticed by Her Majesty.

Not to mention healing magic is very useful.

I think we should keep Yu near us, for now.

Though one thing we could do is maybe look at Palkir's Silver Sword a bit, like see what we can glean from giving it as thorough a lookover we can without raising any more flags.
>>
[X] Do this and I will make sure you get use of your arm back.
[x] Destroy the bodies utterly to make certain she understands exactly how serious you are.
[X] Write in? After your time is up we will talk – or you will be gone. This is only the beginning of our relationship....was it worth what you were paid?

You study her carefully. “Attend. Serve me in these matters, and I vow you will see your arm restored to full use despite the damages done to it, and you will have repaid half of your debt to me. Fail me....” You imbue Siobhan with a bit more of the power you possess, with the awareness you are running dangerously low on the potent arcane force you hoard so carefully. The mutlicolor energies become a single seething aura of glimmering yellow light, and you lunge, sweeping her across the body of the warrior, then raising her in a wide arc to her joyful cry of wanton pleasure. The arc slices through the body of the knight, acidic energies consuming him and his hapless minion entirely, their armor corroding and their flesh dissolving.

The sweep continued until you come full circle and sheathe Siobhan, relinquishing the potent energies. “....and there will be no body for the shroud to cover.” Siobhan growls playfully in your mind, pretending to be threatening because only you can hear said growl.

“I vow I shall accomplish all you set before me in my name, Gish-Arcane Akko!” he pair of Silver Swords acknowledge your vows and oaths, the one whose owner exists no more doing so with the dull resonance of the dispossessed. “I am called Jiyua. I promise all you command will be done.” Cradling her ruined arm she lowers her head submissively before you, and you glance at your Arcane Mark overlaid against the sigil of Doomed you seared into her shoulder.
>>
You would like to maintain her as a useful servant – she's capable enough, just not in your class – so half the debt being paid won't make things too difficult. Of course getting her arm restored will not be easy, and that will come at a further price, of course. “I believe I can trust you to stay true. It is a fairly simple matter after all.” Jiyua shudders and nods, not darign to look up. Tears still fall from her face. “Take your seventy-two turnings and seek me in my cell – with the payment you were supposed to receive for this little fiasco in tow as well as the rest. YU!”

Yustuoc rises slowly, looking more than a little nervous, and steps close. Your lips twitch in a faint smile, and she glares at you, straightening her back and looking more aggressive again. “Once more this female has rescued you from a fate worse tan death. This time it will cost you!” Her olive-green cheeks color and her muscles bulge. Jiyua looks at your half-orc like she's insane.

[] Grab her by the throat and remind her exactly how strong you are.

Part of me feels like this is an ideal opportunity for us to get to step one on figuring out just what is it so wrong with Silver Swords that the founder needed to use his vestige to possess our friend and sword and imbue us with mythic power, but we probably need a lot more than just eyeballing it real good, and that would raise negative attention probably. If we can do anything without arousing much suspicious, I feel like we should though.

[X] Just give her a look.
[X] For that she gets to accompany you naked to your cell.
[X] Write in? Really now, not even a little patience after that railing?

While Jiyua looks at Yu like the half-orc has gone entirely mad, you narrow your eyes and bare your spurs slowly, teeth tightly pressed together as you smile at her with the intensity of a dragon. “After that railing, you already want more? Leave your clothing here then – not that much remains – and I will see you are properly taken care of in due time.” Though she flexes instinctively, her hands clenching into fists, her eyes tell a quite different story. The tight pupils, the abundance of sclera, the tightly beetled brow....she is very much afraid.

You turn back to the trembling, wounded skulker. “Go. Have the gardening caste come to collect the knight and the warrior's regalia.” You take one of the pieces you have made out of your pouch, an iridescent glass ring with a silver attaching piece, with a glowing mark in the emptiness of the ring – your sigil. “This will empower you to speak for me in your acquisitions. I expect that you will find some who balk at your requests. Use it wisely.” The invisible Arcane Mark upon her shoulder will remain hidden a while longer if she thinks you mean to track her with a badge.

She rises – very unsteadily – and salutes you with her good hand, her eyes narrowed in pain and her mouth open in a tight 'O' as she huffs softly. You watch her leave and then glance at Yustuoc, who has discarded her torn, bloodied, and soiled clothing.

Taking the vial of precious devil's blood out, you smear it along your throat and use a little more power to enact the Greater Infernal Healing spell from the Astral Fundament yet again. Making a note to yourself to scribe scars for that purpose, you walk over to the Silver Sword that belonged to the githyanki who declared himself your enemy. Siobhan makes you a cloth of shimmering iridescent silk; you gently take the beautiful weapon and wrap it in the cloth with great care. The Silver Sword acknowledges your care and then ignores you.

You turn back to Yu, who is glaring at you, her muscular, toned body stained by the abuse and pain she suffered. You tilt your head, and then use the simple cantrip to clean you and she off....and then you continue the process by removing the thick black fur between her legs, along her belly, her arms, her legs....and her head. It floats away from her lightly and you gesture, gathering the thick hair and confining it to a pouch as she gapes at you in shock.

“I did say you would be traveling to my cell naked, Yustuoc....did you have a complaint?” You blood is still hot and she can see that in your expression. She shakes her head slowly, and you smile at her, keeping your spurs hidden.

“Very wise.”

Thank you for reading and playing - we will continue tonight at midnight once more, with Kteine meeting Yu, and Yu being humiliated, and Akko being terribly, terribly clever.

Akko's Character Sheet has been updated to her new level, with all the trouble that will entail, but she has some things that mst be done to reflect the changes to her stats, as well as to obviate her need for the mask, and a few other tricks.

Her plan is to give the crystal mask to Tzanzi, use Tzanzi's mask for herself, and use the Rune of the Inscrutible One to protect her from divinations much much more effectively - as well as an explantion for the run on her cheek if anyone notices it.

How will she do all this and still make it to the Raid? That is the clever part.

Uh, shaved orc? Not sure I like that.

Though if we encase her entirely in a bodysuit with a latex hood (or equivalent material), it'd be worth it.

Methink Akko should clasp a big, metal, expensive collar around Yustuoc's neck, for a while at least.

If she is a good little slave Akko can use the same spell to help her grow it back. Possibly in hot pink.
>>
You know, I've just realized a prestidigitation spell would work as ridiculously efficient contraceptive
>>
So, are we required to tell we've killed the Knight?
>>
In any case, it gives us a convenient excuse to stay in the Material Plane for a long while.

Many would think we're trying to avoid those assassinations attempts while gathering more power/finding out who our foes are.

Now I'm wondering if Gero was "suggested" to try to kill us, too.
>>
>>1022797
Kinda, but at the same time, they're testing people. We're going to get noticed.
>>
>>1022635
XS, I have plans. These plans are obviously hypothetically, but here we go: Would it be possible to use True Sight or Glimpse of Truth on the three knights who were sent here without being noticed by them? If they were to see the glyph, would it be like one of those disgusted/intrigued/love-it pics? If someone with a silver sword is engaged in combat and is forced to fight, does the sword have to report it and/or the details of the fight if they lose but don't die?
>>
>>1022789
Not necessarily, but that doesn't mean it doesn't get noticed - after all, the knights draw their power from Her Majesty.

>>1022997
True sight, like all visually active spells (Detect Magic, Detect Alignment, Arcane Sight, etc.) makes your eyes glow. The real problem is that she doesn't know who they are, and neither does Jiyua, who definitely would have informed you of their names, birthdate, weaponry, spells, sexual orientation, and everything else you would ever want to know about them if she had the slightest idea of who they were. She could provide sketches perhaps, if she can draw at all, or craft an illusion so you could see who they are, if she has such a spell.

>spoiler
Maybe.

Theoretically, yes, but Siobhan has been known to conceal information for Akko, or not reports such matters as she is supposed to. It is entirely possible that other Silver Swords are similarly watchful over some of their owners (Falna's definitely is).

Part 8 – Session 2

It with great glee that you return to your cell with Yustuoc in tow. Her shame and humiliation at being displayed naked, shaven clean of all her hair (all her hair!) and disallowed the opportunity or effort to conceal any of her rather shapely assets and hard muscles is entirely out of proportion to the amount of attention she receives. As you told Kteine and Schechei, the githyanki have no nudity taboos.

The admiration you have for the naked – or better still, near-naked – form is considered rather perverse, if anything.

Still her darkly colored flush is evident from her cheeks to her ears and across her breasts, and you find it terribly amusing that she is so troubled by this. She seems less troubled by the fact that she was sexually abused by a bugbear, as a matter of fact. You are not sure if it is a sign of how jaded she is at her existence in the hell she believes she has been confined to be her gods, or if she enjoyed it. The enjoyment Yustuoc derives from your power over her and her abuse by you is something she definitely considers a perversity in her culture, particularly since you are a smaller female.

The memory of her first encounter with you still makes you smile fondly.

You are carrying the Silver Sword of the knight Palkir, who took it upon himself to set up an elaborate trap which you accidentally stumbled into before they had even done more than began. Killing him and one of his cohorts, you've had the gardening caste take the remnant of their bodies and treasures – save your personal prizes – away. The Silver Sword must be returned to the Master Smiths, of course, but you might be able to glean a little knowledge from it before hand. Siobhan was always different; perhaps you might gaina clue as to how she is different.

The thought makes her giggle in your mind.

You arrive back at your cell unaccosted and unmolested, sadly, and you find Kteine sitting upon your resting cushions, your spell book open in her lap. She is wearing her casual regalia, and a simple tunic of cloth-of-gold, with black pants. Her feet are bare, except for some rather decorative toe rings, and her wrists and fingers have a number of pieces of jewelry. Her hair is slicked back; she's recently bathed and oiled herself. The scent of roses is strong, and makes Yu curl her lips and bare her tusks in distaste.

[] Ask her what she thinks of the book.
[] Inquire as to whether she's attempting to seduce you.
[] Tie Yustuoc up tightly and collar her for a while first.
[] Introduce your acolyte to your slave first.

>[] Introduce your acolyte to your slave first.
>[] Ask her what she thinks of the book.

>>
>>1026455
So we need to actually go to the Master Smiths ourselves? Because while our mask hides our own Mythic powers, I'm not sure just how easy it would be for someone to see something is up with Siobhan.

Also out of curiousity, how does someone become a Master Smith anyway?
>>
>>1026465
>>1026465
Akko is generally unwilling to entrust to anyone the care and safekeeping of a Silver Sword - remember, entire strongholds get mobilized for the safe return of one of these weapons. If it 'gets lost' between her picking it up and its safe return to the Master Smiths, an inquisition would be the very least of her worries.

Siobhan is safe as long as she remains in Akko's possession.

It's a complicated process involving a lot of time, effort, a Geas, a few curses, and absolute and utter loyalty to Her Majesty. I can answer later if there is interest.
>>
>>1026473
So how bad is the storm where you are?
>>

That's at work mind you.

Donner Pass is closed - meaning the mountain is frozen over. Innernets connetions are hard to come by at work.

[X] Introduce your acolyte to your slave first.
[X] Ask her what she thinks of the book.

“Kteine.” The delicate gish looks up at you, her eye immediately flicking to the massive, muscular smith for an instant and then immediately back to you. You move into the room, and Yu follows, though more hesitantly even after so many decades of living within the Astral Plane. Kteine raises her hand in salute, looking at you over her hand, three central fingers together, thumb and littlest finger spread, head slightly bowed. You return the salute as she sets your book aside.

“This is my Armory slave Yustuoc.” Kteine mouths the name carefully, testing the shape of it on her tongue and throat. “Gish-Psychic Kteine is my acolyte, and you will treat her with the respect due her, Yustuoc.”

The half-orc snorts derisively. “She is even smaller than you.” Her hateful glare is not mollified by the slow, speculative look Kteine gives her, especially when said gaze lingers on her smooth, bare mons and clean, smooth head.

Permission to discipline your slave, Gish Akko? Her unspoken request is bored sounding; she undoubtedly has had plenty of experience as a slave, dealing with other slaves.

Bide a moment please. your interest is clear to her, and she blinks, and her cheeks darken, a soft cerulean tint to her grey skin. “Be that as it may, you would be wise to pay attention to her.” You begin the laborious process of disrobing, taking off your war regalia and belts, setting Siobhan and the still wrapped Silver Sword once belonging to Knight Palkir to the side. Kteine rises slowly, standing and approaching you, taking your discarded armor and setting it aside in proper placement for storage. Her blank expression is rather telling; she's become quite good at hiding her feelings and thoughts, and that is a declaration of how much they trouble her at the moment.

Yustuoc smirks – the half-orc visage especially suited to it with those tusks and wide lips – as Kteine assists you. “You really do not know when to end it, Yustuoc,” you comment mildly.

“She does a slaves duty, despite her looks. Does she serve as a bed warmer as well?” That earns her a very unhappy glare from the topaz-eyed gish, and you look at her with interest.

“Certainly not mine at the moment.” You clean yourself off again – it takes no time at ll for the scent of armor to permeate your skin, no matter that you don't sweat here – and stretch slowly and decorously. Kteine's eyes slip back to watch you, despite herself, so you carefully do not smile. “Did you understand anything you read in that, Kteine?”
>>
>>1026488
Is this how half-orcs handle having masochistic urges? Or did Akko condition Yustuoc to say shit like this because she thinks the repurcussions are funny/a good excuse to punish her? Because if Akko genuinely didn't want Yustuoc to make outbursts like this, I'd imagine she'd have ways of plenty of ways of making sure it stops, probably even with minimal psyche damage.
>>
Man, we should have pointed out K's rather seductive choice of clothes.

Also, whoa, Akko's spellbook isn't well protected.

>>1026487
Those seem like some serious leaks. I'm honestly impressed your internet connection is still holding up.
>>
>>1026490

I think it's the orc playing the smartass snarky sub
>>
>>1026495
I guess part of it might be one of the downsides of Yustuoc believes she's already in hell, and thus her situation can't actually get worse. Jokes on her though, because when she eventually dies she probably still has to go to some kind of hell/evil afterlife, and I'm pretty sure they are at least 30% shittier than being a Githyanki slave.
>>
>>1026497

It's infinitively worse than being a Githyanki slave

Well, unless she actually goes to Gruumsh's plane. In which case, while horrifying by all account, it's actually what the orcs like.
>>
>>1026489
I say we give Kteine free reigns in disciplining Yustuoc. Both seem to desperately yearn for some release, and it'll be interesting to see the result.
>>
>>1026500

Nah, we should work on Yustuoc ourself.
>>
“No, but the art is beautiful, and the penmanship is lovely,” she comments softly as she moves to the armoire and sets your armor and accouterments within. The childer doesn't even approach Siobhan or the shimmering cloth bundle near her.

You move over to the cushions and pick up the book, pulling the pen and an ink vial from the cover to finish the spells you have been working on. “Thank you. There is an artistry to magic and warfare alike that should be reflected in the efforts to record them both, I believe.” The last few words, the last few strokes of elegant line and delicate arc. You sigh, realizing that this, more than your powers, marks the turning point of your life. There can be no mistaking the potency of a Sixth Circle Spell, and you have scribed two into your book.

Kteine moves back to kneel next to you, looking at the completed spell you have the page open to. You smile and run your hand down her back slowly, soothing.

Yu grunts, disgust writ large upon her face.

[] Allow Kteine to discipline Yu.
[] Discipline Yu yourself.
[] More teasing, see if you can make Kteine lose her temper.
[] You might just turn Yu over to Kteine, for that!

Yustuoc comes from a culture where weakness is despised, and women are considered weak. The fact that she takes pleasure with women is a weakness, and one she is culturally bound to find disgusting and hateful about herself. Her attitude is meant to give Akko reasons to punish/pleasure her while the bondage means she can't actually resist so there is no actual fault on her part.

Akko indulges this because it amuses her, more than anything else.

>>1026493
Those are actually fairly ordinary non-combat clothes. Akko is biased.

>>1026507

>[] You might just turn Yu over to Kteine, for that!
>>
>>1026518
So she was raised by Orcs, or is that the human community's views that raised her? Either way, nicely fucked up and I can't see any incentive for Akko to fix her.

Side note: if it had been Schechei reading our spell book, would she have been able to understand every spell within her level, or are they written in a very cunning shorthand/cipher/flat out cursed?
>>
>>1026523
Read Magic would be a requirement.

As far as protectign her spell book, there are many more spell books available to anyone who has been on raids than would be worth stealing another githyanki's spell book. The chances of them finding the thief are extemely high, and the resulting situations could be complicated or simple as desired. Wen Akko wants to keep her spell book safe (as she undoubtedly will now that she has sixth level spells in it) she has a spell specifically tailored for it.

Schechei would be able to understand every spell she could decipher (spellcraft checks allowing) but only cast those she has the capability for casting. The more esoteric spells Akko has might be difficult for her to understand (penalties to spellcraft checks), such as Form of the Alien Dragon 1, Gloomblind Bolts, Visualization of the Body, and Vampiric Shadow Shield, for examples.

Yes, there is a theme there.
>>
>>1026526

>Yes, there is a theme there.

Is the theme "Akko got the idea by looking at the Dead Gods' places" ?

>but only cast those she has the capability for casting

Technically she would have to re-copy them in her spellbook first.

>>1026523
> are they written in a very cunning shorthand/cipher/flat out cursed?

All spellbooks are written in a personal code
>>
>>1026550
No, you can learn and cast spells from other people's spell books, as long as you are capable of casting them in the first place (i.e., Read Magic, Study, Spellcraft Check successful, high enough level to cast said spell. But you don't get to keep it or put it in your spell book if you do learn it that way, you only get to cast it the one time (magus are kind of an exception).

And yes, that is in fact the theme.
