She leans close to me, her eyes barely open. Lifa is sitting, tending the various flowers she's been growing in the top of this tree. Alith is sitting next to her, asleep and covered by a rosebed.

And in the corner, covered in blankets, is Iris. Who Lifa has given a few bloodred roses by the looks of things.

Lifa turns to me as Iris' ears wiggle adorably, and she wakes up with a whimper, shielding her eyes from the sun light drifting in behind me

Best to get our junk clothes for our daughters and ourselves for this one. The dress shouldn't suffer while we get Auntie Vera.

As for me. Monday or Wednesday is fine. Monday is likely better, but I am flexible.

Her fangs peek out from behind her lips, well two of them do, she doesn't open her mouth enough to show all of them. I smirk, as I sit here crouched like a cat, and lick my lips flicking my tongue over them as she tries to hide under her blanket. Well I just can't resist can I? Besides it'll be a fun way to wake her up, pouncing on her with a kiss.

So that's exactly what I do, throwing my bigger body ontop of her, making her squeal as I grab her face and kiss her, raising my wings to block out the sunlight so it stops hurting her eyes.

"MALI!" She shouts as I land on her "Stoooop"

"Oh you know you love it" I say, licking the tip of her nose gently as I cuddle up with her, practically burying her under me "Besides you needed a pick me up, and is there a better one than a nice morning kiss?"

"Well, I think you jumping on me woke me up more than the kiss did" She groans as I nibble at her ears "I mean its nice but...could you stop biting my ears"

"Seems someone's full of energy" Galina giggles "At least its you and not Lifa this time, I'm at wits end with her....are you messing around with the flower again"

"Yes I am, and why should I? You taste good" I say softly chewing on her ears, as her tails whips around under the blanket

"MOMMA HELP!" Lifa yelps as she scurries up the tree, getting chased by Galina, who's muttering about her getting her dress dirty again.

Iris tries to push me off, but sighs and gives up as I hold her to my chest, pushing her glasses up her face

"Thank you, its so hard keeping her behaving even for a day" Galina says happily, looking tired as Alith licks her lips, having an entirely different idea than she does.

"Veras in there, Alex and Karla told me to get her since we need to get ready to go...and I want to make it a family outing, want to come?" I ask sweetly, pressing my forehead against hers

"Of course" She says flatly, sighing as she gets up "just let me get out of this dress first"

"Oh we're going to the market?" Galina asks cheerfully

The swamp is dark, and hot, almost burning like hell. a thick fog is rolling through it, and red flowers lined with teeth of men and beast snake over the arched roots of the tree like some kind of snake, weird leaping frogs bound in the water, with mouths like lampreys, and the lily pads are massive, almost little islands.

Birds chirp and coo as I stand on the edge of a pier I wandered into, an old monster with a fish like face sitting on it

Iris is hanging onto me with a bit of a disgusted look on her face

"its too hot out here" She grumbles, cuddling closer to me as a flash of brown runs past me

I grab Lifa before she runs off into the swamps depths

"Coooooome oooon" She whines, trying to squirm out of my hand "I just want to have some fun mom"

"Thank you" Galina says warmly "Glad you decided to stop her for once"

Hmm, turning Galina into a doll sounds like would have been a great. Kinda like that doll witch. Forgot about wanting to mark the cat and have it keep an eye on Amelia.

I look at the fat monster, sleeping and using his own gut as a pillow, with a tackle box next to him and a broken fishing pole in his hand. He has whiskers like a cat fish, and eyes like some kind of lizard, covered by a straw hat.

"Hey" I say, shaking him my right upper hand as I hold Lifa close to me with the other as she tries to and run off to one with the swamp "Sir? You still alive?"

"Oh good idea, he might know where Vera is" Iris says happily

"Or have some cold water" Alith wheezes, laying on the pier, trying to find some shade under the drooping tree branches

I shake the fish man a bit harder, looking at my oldest as she sweats and pants.

"I swear, you've been riding that horse of yours too much if you're already this worn out" Galina snorts "You need more exercise"

"You can go home sweetie, if its that bad" I say softly as the man starts to stir "I don't want you to melt"

"But I need to..to protect you" She says weakly, her pink eyes looking dull again

I yelp, from the sudden surprise and burning pain, and stumble forward, tripping over the edge of the lily pad. I roll, holding Iris close to me as I flap my wings, feeling the slimy slick surface off the next pad on my back. Iris shrieks, hurting my ears as I stand up and making my skull shake and quiver from all the noise as I get the mother of all headaches.

"Sorry!" She yells as I begin to slip close to the next edge.

And I leap over it, landing on the next one, which begins to drift away as I laugh, partially from the adrenaline, partially from the hilarity of just what happened, and a bit because of the pain.

"Don't worry about it" I say warmly as I hug her, and she hugs me back, as out little raft spins around under our feet.

"GET BACK HERE!" Galina roars, as she rockets over the water, pushing us along as Lifa laughs madly, the swamp moving with her, the flowers dancing and the vines and roots wiggling after her

A shame that my mad sister is chasing me...its a real pain, at least Alith knows what she's doing when she catches me, and she isn't as rough as the flaming judgment is....and at least she makes me feel nice.. I shake my head of those thoughts, the murky water in front of me, filled with mud and roots....it looks like a painting

And its blocking out her screams, muffling them and hiding them. Its actually kind of nice, to not have to worry about what shes saying, even if its the same madness as usual. I have no idea why she cares if I get dirty so much, I'm always dirty anyways, since I just can't get away from the ground and the life it holds, from the pretty flowers, to the towering trees. Besides, being uncrusted with dirt is nice, soothing, and just generally fun for me, it also makes it so I don't have to grow plants through my own body to let them grown on me.

I sigh, looking up with my one eye as her heat begins to boil the water around me...she'll keep this up if she knows where I am. and hurt all the poor critters and plants. Grabbing onto a bunch of swamp weed, I fall into it, my body becoming one with it as she flies away, the water cooling down as she leaves me.

It takes me awhile to get the courage to leave the roots, and even then I just float on the water, watching mama float on by. I frown as I feel those...thoughts again. Her body is like a ripe fruit, and...all the talks with Alith, when she uses me like a toy are getting to me again. But she's my...mother, and...well I guess I'm becoming like the mortal beasts I admire. That instinct of love and lust...and relaxing.

I frown a bit deeper, remembering when I wasn't played with or this tired, when I didn't realize or feel this sort of attraction of lust. When I didn't smile when my would be oppressor sister hugged me and used me as a chest rest.

When I wasn't marred and tinted with this...taint...but somehow I feel...closer to nature like this. I know the feelings it has but...it feels like I've lost something, in the swirl of attention Alith and Mama have given me.

I close my eye, a tear rolling down my face. Have I lived more now or back then, I feel...something in me erroding, and something else sprouting from its ashes

"What this?" a croaking voice asks

I open my eyes, and see a frog like mortal sitting above me, with dangling hair and yellowed teeth

"Smell funny" A smaller one snorts, sniffing me

"No...different" the little one says, opening her golden yellow eyes

I pause for a moment, pondering what I am, and smile as the frog like creatures hop around onto lily pads around me, looking like crosses of human's and toads...they're cute in an odd way, they remind me of little pups, young creatures in the need of defending.

A flash of drepavity, and I grab her, and squeeze her against my chest, not wanting to do anything to hurt this sweet little patch of innocence in the world. She makes and odd noise and kicks her legs as I lay down, and let myself float on the gentle stream, so I don't have to work. I bite my lip as I fight back against the thoughts telling me to do as Alith has done to me...not here...not yet

"Lifa friend no eat?" She asks, sounding scared

"of course not, I don't eat" I say happily as she tilts her head

I yell surprise as a metal spear hooked with metal prongs and shards and other bits flies by me jas I turn away at just the right moment to avoid getting impaled by it. I grab the rod attached to it, feeling whatever was rubbed on it burn my skin for a moment. I lift it up and chuckle, tossing to the ground

I hear Iris growling, as she bears her teeth and pulls her glasses down, her eyes glowing green as I hear something fall into the water with a heavy splash. I look over as the spear gets pulled back through the water, over a marble statue laying in one of the banks. There's a pair of red eyes burning in the brush.

They watch me and Iris, wide with fear and confusion as I stretch and yawn.

"Owww?" I purr, flapping my wings and cracking my knuckles at the same time "Missed me, try agaaaain~"

"Try it again" iris dares, her eyes burning with a kind of rage I haven't seen in her before

"of course, it sounds fun!" I cackle a bit madly, trying to scare the idiot now more than anything else


And then, he runs, throwing up leaves and dirt as he curses loudly, and starts crying out for help

Except for rending claws, they're all pretty good. Poor Iris wouldn't be able to hold her books if she had them.

Iris pauses for a moment and rubs her throat nervously, looking between them and me as she tries to speak, gulping and looking around and up at the sky for a second. She pushes her glasses back up, and suddenly smirks confidently as she walks up to the now shaking girl vampire, licking her lips as she slowly opens her mouth up, revealing her wicked looking fangs.

"You really are a mother now, aren't you mali" She says, almost teasingly as the girls eyes go wide, and she tries to scream, but no noise comes out as Iris places her teeth on her neck "Well there's a first time for everything, and I am quite curious, so...thanks for the meal"

And I rub my, wincing in pain...I remember how that feels..Its nice but it also really hurts...but it does feel nice.

She sinks her teeth in the twitching vampire, but she doesn't drink.Instead she pulls back violently ripping the vampires throat open, she spits the tattered meat away, and bites down deeper. I hear, and practically hear her teeth stabbing through the girls neck. I grab my neck as she starts drinking, biting and shredding the girls neck as her friend cries tears of blood, that dry on his cheeks

I cover my mouth, So I don't shout in fear as my legs go a little weak. If a demon was doing this, it'd do nothing to me, but since Iris is...I..I Its just a little scarier.

She wipes her mouth holding the girls severed head, looking into her eyes thoughtfully, almost remorsefully.

"She wasn't lying" She says calmly as she holds the head up higher, picking a chunk of meat out of her fangs "by the way, Vera did run into the crater in the center of the swamp, and I know exactly where there home is now...Also how craft a poison from rotting corpses...and quite a few other things"

Iris smirks, and then frowns like she usually does, and tosses the head into the swamp, as she lets go of the girl, and she falls into.

the creatures around us run off, making a lot of noise.

Iris covers her ears, and I hug her as she whimpers. Bubbles rise, as the thick mud takes the now dead again corpse.

She starts retching, trying to vomit up the bits of the vampire she swallowed down in her frenzy to suck down more blood, by chewing that girl's neck up and squeeze it out of her meat. She sticks her tongue out, chunky blood flowing out of her lips, staining her fangs as she falls forward.

On instinct, I grab her and hold her to my chest like a baby, wincing as I feel her vomit the slurry of vampire neck onto me, closing her eyes as she catches her breath, reeking of blood and bile. I slowly, and gingerly rub and pat her back, ruffling her hair with my other hand, holding her to my chest. Glad I have two extra arms nowadays.

"There there" I coo, as she pants and wheezes...She could be sobbing, its hard to tell when she has so much dead blood in her mouth...I hold her closer and tighter "its okay, its oooookay, it's okay, it's okay"
